And so I have an opinion.

Rose's blog is a nice place to visit...there's a nice mix of comments on the post of the day and anything else that people bring to the table. On occasion, we get visited by looney harpies that spew their venom, but that seems to be part and parcel in this fandom. Plus it provides us with added entertainment and an opportunity to sharpen our claw when need be.

@Arte - Lainey is a Gossip Chick - with her it is a mix bag and not everyone will agree on her at all but fact stuff she is usually pretty dead on (she tries to pride herself on that) but with that she adds opinions and can be a real snooty bitch in those. She writes a gossip column but likes to think she is above the gossip.
If "Jules Stewart wants to emerge from 'Twilight' shadow" she shouldn't talk about her daughter so much. That was a very bad interview. I really hope she was misquoted.

So...I need some advice on cellphones. I currently have a tempermental Android, aka a Samsung Droid Charge. Don't know if I should stick with another android or go the way of the iphone. I've heard that iPhones have a longer battery life that most other phones...definitely longer than my current phone. But how about the apps and surfing the web? My current phone boots me out of the web whenever I try to post on this blog or if I'm trying to open up a window heavy on the graphics.
Any suggestions? Advice?

I like my iPhone a lot. I can post comments on the blog with it, but it is slow for that. Although I don't have 4G, I only have the older 3G model.
Artemis...Thank you. I'm looking at the new iphone 5. I like the slimness and that it takes good pictures. I think its 4G. My current phone is 4G, but lately its been prone to rebooting for no good reason! Plus, the new androids seem to be getting wider...too big for my hands!!

@Maria, how are you? I didn't know you had health issues, I hope everything is good now and you'll feel a lot better.
I rarely change phone device. I didn't have a smart phone up until a bit more than a year, when I bought iPhone4S. We've become inseperable since then. It's very easy to handle, with great response, it very rarely crashes, the camera is very very good and the applications available are more than you'll ever need.
I use it a lot for my mails, to read some books and to surf or post on the internet. It has no problem with that at all. I don't know what will happen in a year and how fast it will become "old" but, 'till now, it's all good.
I hope I was helpful and not very tiring.
Has everyone seen the comment from the photographer who took the first official picture from The Rover? Probably it's old news now, but... 50 C? Working under these conditions is excruciating.
I look forward for each and every of Rob's films, but my feelings about this one is even more possitive. The characters he has portrait this far are different between them, but I don't remember seeing him again in "such a mess". I'm glad because he will have the chance to "stretch his legs" a bit with the movies he's making this year and surprise us with things we hadn't seen him before in.
Well, I think that's all. I'm beaten so I think I'll call it a night a bit earlier (it's not really early, but for my usual program it is a bit... LOL)
It's the 16nth, today, so, I guess, Rob and Kristen will soon be back together. I'm waiting impatiently for this moment to come.

I think Rob is going to come away with feeling he's done his best work so far because of the conditions, being so different from anything he's done so far and all the physical part that is outside his comfort zone. It's on GC about Lil Wayne suffering a seizure and put in a coma, they said he's had them before but may be looking into some sorta drug as a cause. The are only saying he is critical. Don't know if its true, I hope not, I'm not a fan but wish him all he best...

I wonder what the cause of the seizures were....I know that excessive ingestion of alcohol can cause seizures but he may have a seizure disorder, he could have a Brain tumor but being he is so young that is not likely ....
This is a true story, one of my bosses got a knock on her front door one Sunday afternoon. The boy down the street said, Come quick,your daughter is having a seizure on our driveway, Sure enough, the then 13 year old daughter was seizing and was taken immediately to the ER. It was suffering from acute alcohol intoxication. Luckily she didn't die but she was close. They had to pump her stomach and it scared the hell out of everybody

@Super - they are saying drugs but god knows if it is true and the drug they said I have never heard of - codeine soda called sizzurp (why someone would make something like that is crazy) I guess he had them earlier in the week too.
SUPER -- Hi ... a friend of mine was perfectly healthy and at age 38 had a GM seizure when he was visiting for the weekend. We were camping and this was before cell phones, at 3:00 am in the pouring rain, I ran to a payphone to call the ambulance. After numerous testing, nothing was found and then his Mom remembered that he had rheumatic fever when he was 5 years old. He's still on meds now but doing okay. Very scary stuff.
ARLEEN -- not sure if it's headed your way but they are saying a snowstorm is headed this way on Tuesday night. They really, really need it here, have had a low snow winter.
GINGER -- I was hoping it wasn't drugs but have heard that he was into drugs. Hate to say it but a lot of rappers and rock stars are into drugs. Hopefully he'll recovered within ill effects. If so, he could be a great advocate to help young people to stay off of drugs.

I was drinking 5-6 cups of coffee per day so about 3 months ago I started making 3 cups of green tea every morning and taking with me to work. I have enjoyed the ritual and am now down to 2-3 cups of coffee....I'm happy.

I’m just back from work and have caught up on comments. I hesitated posting because I really don’t want to add fuel to a fire, but I just feel the need to clarify one of your points.
You spoke of a “hen house” at another site, and I wanted confirm that that really isn’t an accurate characterization of things. Yes, there is another blog that some people are chatting on. It was set up for the purpose of talking about books and not for the purpose of spending time “clucking” about Roseland. Yes, there has been the occasional comment, (perhaps people letting off steam) I won’t lie, but the vast, I repeat, vast majority of comments have nothing to do with here or about you. If you look you will see extensive comments on two books the group has read, and yes, other topics – like recipes, and business travel and actors who would be well suited to play characters in the books we’ve read and discussed. The people that post there have interests that extend beyond here. There are also people who post in both places.
After last night’s dust-up here, yes, I did make a comment there. I commented that I didn’t regret stating my opinion and supporting Pisteuo when she/he was facing a barrage of negative and accusatory comments, but that I regretted the discord that I, amongst others, had been a part of. I really don’t think that constitutes clucking in a hen house.
I have no quarrel with you Rose. My intention is only to clarify matters as your comment cast some good people in an unfavorable light. If there are issues, I feel pretty safe in saying they have nothing to do with you. I hope you will accept this in the positive spirit in which it is intended.

I'll never understand how they keep coming up with these drug concoctions, the normal run of the mill kind is so dangerous as they are but to add a name that sounds cool to something so bad it's bound to be attracting to the younger groups. Which I suppose is the purpose but over the years there have been so many young musicians and just people in general to die from overdoses or some complication due to drugs...just sad

Sadly we never got the opportunity to see GnR in concert, always wanted to. I love that collaboration. I hadn't seen the video of Blind Melon - No Rain in such a long time, Zack played with a band a few years ago and the lead singer did an amazing job at sounding like SN when doing this song. Good Morning everyone! Sometimes I don't what is the world coming too. When it comes to celebs breaking up, divorces, and god knows who. Sometimes I thought things were going good. Except for the ones that abuses their loves ones. Which I don't have symphony for the ones that abuses their spouses or girlfriends.
Some are young like Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. I have been there. Especially teenage years. I can relate to Robert. The one that comments. I had a one relationship from 14 to 18 years old. That one a was long distant relationship. We met in a group home facility. We end in a different group home no choices. These foster cares system you have no choice. We only get to talk and write to each other during that time. We end up see other peoples. We were young that time. Then at age eighteen we drift apart. Those places you had to follow rules. Only allow hold hands and hugs. And that was about it. Which it sucks. I completely unless why.
At age 18 things have change for me. That is when I was getting out of my own. I had to break up with him. I needed change for me. Later I met my husband. And have a 15 year old daughter.

i think i remember what jousting is. it is all coming back to me. it was in the middle ages and there were these crusades and it involved horses and mail [not sure why] and very long spears. don't remember much about the sport itself, but the winner got a trophy, which came in the form of a cup or what they used to call a chalice [they had to double up on trophies and glassware-times were hard- it was the middle ages] you drank beer out of your trophy only back then it was called mead and it was brought to you by a serving wench which sounds like a tool they night use in the oilfield, but its not, its a woman

I don't think Taylor has a girlfriend or if he does it hasn't been publicized.
Scout is older than Taylor but I don't think he'd mind since so was Taylor Swift.

@Pam - The reactions were priceless --- the other girl in the photo's was the same one from the birthday party coincidentally but I found it funny they left the Scout one out. He seems like a really nice guy - if it is true I hope he likes Disney Land
