Exactly. No need to question it anymore, on here or any other post. Focus now ladies and gentlemen: defending and liking is better than attacking and hating.
If we all stopped commenting on how we are fans, and left the internet full of haters...Wow, what a way to show Kristen and Rob, they do have fans who will stand up for their own opinions as well as the hate on the people they are fans of. It's like with a friend, would you defend them if they were hated on? For sure. If someone was being hated on, attacked in public, a stranger: would you defend or let that stranger be attacked?

As to the whole fan crap again. I don't want to see either Rob or Kristen bashed, and anyone who thinks differently look at the responses to Honey when she sticks her head out from under her rock. Opytaylor, I too would rather it stopped. But people like sarajjw and Ceci bring it up again and again weeks or a month later. Then it starts another round, because Kristen fans come here too. Don't get me wrong, I'm fan of Rob. I'm not like the haters who lurk on sites or create sites to keep up to date on hating an actor/actress/musician. But I was first a fan fo Kristen. And well, I tend to stick up for the women. Because there is too much attacks on women. So sexist most of the time- double standards. And I feel like I have had similar experiences, where she gets called out on too much stuff, and I feel like I too have similar traits.

@Opytaylor - Not disagreeing with you completely. We do discuss the hate, but often times, it's on the peripheral. We discuss how unfair it is, how unwarranted it is, and how we'd rather not hear it. But it does come up in discussion.

Now, to continue, sadly, with the hatred. Often, projecting hatred onto innocent people, which really is a form of bullying, is a form of self medicating. Hurt someone else, insult someone else, threaten someone else, slander someone else, degrade someone else, belittle someone else, lie about someone else...............it is a way to avoid looking inward. The hater gets attention, even if it is negative attention. The hater doesn't dwell upon their own shortcomings, needs, or fears for those moments. Some even get a high from the words and actions they hurl at others.
In my opinion, the hater is a coward, a very small person who hides behind words, anonymity, and fear. I loathe haters. They do need help.....help to understand why they act out in the ways that they do, attacking others in order to make themselves feel better, superior, and righteous.
Again, life is too short, and in the end, the karma is gonna getcha!

And jen, I find only when comments are started by saying "Kristen fans are hating on Rob" that people seem to start the whole thing off, which is really not needed. Because they should just stop singling out one portion of hate if they want to bring up hate. And say "Kristen fans have said this today, Robert fans have said this", wa la, the end. Or one can say "Kristen's got hated for this", then another comment can say "ah gosh that's a shame, Rob has got hated for this".

My question is not "who gets more hate" I want to know out the whole fandom, the percentage that engages in hate versus those of us that love the the reality of the real life relationship.
ReplyDeleteI think 75-80% accept the relationship and engage in zero hate. Love them both or don't care either way.
That leaves 20 to 25% that are haters of one variety or another. They don't deserve the distinction of "Rob fans" or "Kristen fans" We know Kristen would break Honey's teeth if she heard her bs up close.
I am curious if Rose thinks those percentages are close to reality.
That hateful minority makes the most noise. I often goto lengths to avoid exposure to it, which means some days I have to avoid this and other boards.

I think the number of these haters are dwindling though, as more and more people accept that there IS a relationship between Rob and Kristen, and more and more people are calling out the hate. And you're right.. the haters are more noticeable at times, because they make the most noise.
I'm content with my beliefs. I don't need to prove anybody else wrong. Not that it would help any if I did try to argue with someone who was so hate filled. It's hard to argue with fanaticism. (and can I say, I hate that fanaticism has the word "fan" in it.. too many people assume that means I'm talking about someone being a fan)

ReplyDeleteI guess I can confess that I am actually Tommy Sturridge, Robert's best mate. I was trying to keep it a bloody secret but since Kristen told I guess I bloody well might as well.
My mate Robert is horrible Honey. He does nothing all day but badger poor Kristen and force her to put his best friends in all her movies. When he's not doing that, he spends all his time being so possessive and jealous of her that its practically abusive. You know that movie she is doing now? Well, he came all the way to New Orleans just to make sure she didn't bloody cheat on him during the bloody sex scenes. Its not like he's an actor and understands how incredibly unsexy bloody sex scenes are..he forced his way onto the bloody set to make bloody damn sure she was being bloody faithful to his bloody self.
You probably know by now Honey but Kristen LOVES you. In fact, everyone who hates my mate Robert is like a hero to Kristen. Sure, she ACTS like she bloody well adores him but really it is all just an act. Sure, he has a thriving career of his own but honey you are so bloody right. He is just on her coatstrings because, aside from Twilight, Kristen's movies have made SO much money. Its not like Robert was ever in a huge production like Harry Potter --well--he bloody well was but that was a bloody fluke.
So Honey, rush to the island right now and feed Kristen some bloody delicious coconuts. She'll be way bloodier happier with you lot than with that GIT Robert.

In regards to your post, I think people react negatively to both these people because they fear the connection, and intimacy that their characters exude. Today we are behind our computers with less community and social support. We are deprived of emotion. Twilight awakens the frozen sea and makes me covet this bond. Europeans are more attuned to making intimate connections. The people who hate are really afraid to love and will hate those who try and say, "wait a minute, I want that in my life." Just a thought.

6. Million Dollar Baby- fanfiction- Bella is bought as E slave for pleasure- actually haven't read it but heard it is really good- lots and lots of lemons obviously

A - it was not one of my finer moments, I can assure you of that. Not entirely sure how many people overheard my loud speech about how much I wanted those eggs. But I am still getting teased about it to this day.

My husband works in law enforcement and he has to work at the games and sometimes we get free tickets, but it's never to a good game like AL, GA or LA.
Uh-oh. I laughed out loud one too many times. I've piqued the husband's curiosity and now he's sitting at the kitchen table with me... asking me what I'm laughing and smirking at. 0_o

ReplyDeleteI had tickets for the LSU game but we are having my daughter's birthday party that weekend so...I had to trade with a friend of mine. I would much rather go to the LSU game but the kiddies come first ;) Sometimes we have extra tickets because we buy a 4 game pack and can't make it to all the games. I'll keep you in mind if I do ;) That way at least they would get used :)
