Rose, great post, and I know you are as happy as I am. I love Grandma Rose, so keep her coming. I have this big smile on my face ever since hearing the news yesterday. Like you I do not discuss my feelings for Rob and Kris to anyone unless I know they love them as much as I do...people just don't understand. That is why your blog means so much to me, because I can express my feelings openly. I am twisting and twirling Rose, I think it is going to be a great fall for some of us anyway.

Kristen and Robert-it's clear they made a decision with the premiere of Eclipse to simply not hide anymore. No, they aren't going to be walking the red carpet or making out at the Chateau Marmont any time soon, or publicly commenting on their relationship. But they are so not trying to keep it on the downlow anymore either, and honestly, Robert looks freaking happy all this summer, as has Kristen. So good for them.

These two people have had a special chemistry from the moment they met. I do not see why anyone would wish them any malice. Kristen is BEAUTIFUL and spunky and down to earth, which is why I like her. Rob, well he lives with being gay, having an affair, dating no one, being evasive, and of course hounded in public.

And I'd like to say in my opinion, I think Kristen is an amazing person, who seems like a real sweetheart as do Rob, Tom, and all those they love and trust.
Rose I ask myself the same question. Why is it hard for some women to believe Rob wants Kristen --- and no one else. As a male, I can tell you that there is no other celebrity female I would pick over Kristen. She commented in that Harper's article about the BS of having a certain look and being conventionally pretty.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the well wishes :) We received some bad news about my Grandfather today. He is currently half way through radiation treatment for colon cancer. We found out today that he is also going to have to undergo chemotherapy also. While it is a setback I am keeping the faith that God will see him through. He's a crusty old fella :) So yes--tomorrow is a new day and we will fight on. Just please keep him in your thoughts.
Now--I have something to say. (Yes, I know you are all shocked! *gasp*) I read a few completely awful comments earlier and I have been thinking about this all night. The only thing I'm going to address from this is a question that was posted in one of them.

Now I can't speak for everybody. I'm going to give my opinion on what makes Roseland what it is.
We all support, encourage, and care for each other. If one of us has a bad day there is always someone here to offer a word of encouragement. Life is messy and rarely perfect. A kind word can sometimes make all the difference. My Grandmother always says "If you don't have anything nice to say...don't say anything at all". Words to live by I think. So I say THANK YOU ROSE!! Keep using that delete button. Nobody here wants to hear it. We don't want to see hate here for ANYBODY. It is wrong and ugly no matter who it is directed at. Life is too short.

ReplyDeleteYes, I watched, "Coco and Igor Stravinsky" and liked it. French films do not compromise. They leave it to the viewer to decide what they are seeing and feeling.
I was hard pressed to answer my 22 yr. old daughter's questions about what was going on, because I needed to process that for myself. And we always have to consider the era/societal differences.
I must say that I want to buy and wear some Chanel perfume again, for she chose the scent after 80 botanicals were added. What a nose she had! No other perfumes smell or wear like hers...
Anyway, if you like subtitles and can enjoy not being told what's what-rent it.

For all of those listed and a whole lot more who Rob's related to, is friends with - a Rob fan shouldn't do that. Rob wouldn't like you. And it's all very well saying "oh he won't care", your bullshitting about his family/friends/girlfriend. It's the same for us all if we have family, friends and partners. We don't want them spoken badly of. We'd dislike whoever is speaking bad of those people who are close to us. It'd be the same for Rob. Because he's human.
But I don't think there are people who would speak badly of his girlfriend, sisters, parents, cousins, uncles, aunts, friends, best friends on here. I hope not.

They were calling Rob and Lizzy or Victoria ugly, last New Years, when he and she were outside their home being papped. I thought that was disgusting. But that's the site for haters, who are either just people who don't care or people who were once Rob fans.

Caroline, LOL thank you for the laugh first thing this morning...you have NO idea how much I needed it! I think it was perfect! I agree that there are some evil things..(I refuse to call it a person) on the site and I agree an 18 wheeler, a pack of hyenas, an ant hill, having to share a room with Honey...something horrible is what is needed to knock some sense into it, or to hit it so hard it forgets us completely!
