Rob and Kristen- Who Do You Live For?

"You remember your first kiss forever... and ever."

I watch Vampire Diaries.
I enjoy it.
I guess I do have a thing for good looking vampires.
(Kinda addicted to "True Blood" too...)
Maybe that is something I need to address (someday)

I know a lot has been said about what a copy VD is of Twilight.
And oh yes... it is.
But while there are so many similarities...
For a cable TV show... it has more intimacy than Twilight ever did.

"When you can live forever... who do you live for?"

And hey... I get the whole longing for but never getting theme
of the Twilight series.
Doesn't mean I have to like it.

But that is neither here nor there
or anywhere...
Here a horse, there a horse...
Everywhere a horse, horse.
(of course)

Sorry.
I don't know WHERE the hell that came from.

OK.

Hmmm....

Not really hiding the fact that "Stefan Salvatore" is a more
generic clone of "Edward Cullen"
Is one better than the other?
What is the name of this blog?
Repeat after me...
Robert
Pattinson
INTOXICATION.
So.
Robert wins.

But while Stefan isn't as gloriously alluring as Edward...
Stefan ain't too shabby.
(I typed 'shappy' at first... looked at it and thought...
What the fuck is shappy?)
We have all seen Robert with his shirt off...

There was LOTS of speculation that his abs were 'enhanced'...
Possibly.
But you gotta have the basics to make it look good...
You know what I mean?
(Do I know what I mean?
I'm feeling a bit shap-happy at the moment)

Um...
Paul wins on the abs.
Even though I prefer Robert's body type
(long, lean...)
over the overt muscle-ness of Paul.
But no complaints, Paul...
No complaints.
At all.

So that just brings me to the last Teen Choice Awards.
Remember?

Yeah... now I bet you do.
Throughout much of the evening...
Everytime they showed Robert in the audience
he looked kinda like this.
Kinda like...
"Why the fuck am I here...
and damn I really miss Kristen."
(heh)

Yeah... so.
For the most part Robert is looking all bored outta his mind...
And then the Vampire Diaries cast comes up
I don't remember if they won something
or if they were giving something out...
But the camera cut to Robert in the audience.
And I laughed incredibly hard....

OK... this wasn't it...
But seriously...
He looked like he was thinking...
"WHATtheFUCK??"
It was one of the few enjoyable moments of the evening.

That being said...
I like Vampire Diaries.
I like True Blood.
I lied.
I really really love True Blood
Sexy
Bloody
and
Alexander Skarsgard

Um...
He does EVERYTHING right.
Vampire Perfection.

And that brings me to my final thoughts.

1. Don't you love this picture?
Big smiles.
Kristen's hand on Robert's thigh.
Robert's arm around Kristen's arm...
Looking like he's about to hold her hand...

2. Her Brother.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

3. I kinda apologize for being so scattered and giddy today.
Lots of stuff going through my head.
Good stuff.
Awesome stuff.
So maybe I don't apologize.
Nothing wrong with being happy!
I might even have to
*TWIRL*
a time or two (thousand)

4. A lot of 'cast' sightings in BR.
So far the only ones I have seen are
Ashley and Kellan in the company
of Joe Jonas.
And oh yes...
Ashley kissing Joe
amid screams of
"THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE!"
knowing that if a picture like that of
Robert and Kristen appeared
The world as we know it would fucking end.

With a great relationship
comes great responsibility.

Remember that.

This post is brought to you by the letter *S*

S for SMITTEN
Exactly how Robert looks when he is close to Kristen.

Just because there's not a picture...
Doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Because it did.
You just weren't there.
;)

Bye for now

  2. I've never seen the Vampire Diaries but that guy does nothing for me.

No comparison--Rob is better--sexier--hotter--you name it.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Is it just me or does that Vampire Diaries guy look square? He's no Rob, that's for sure!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'm already feeling the drought! :(

I've got to say Rob wins with the abs, I don't like the kind of body type or abs that Paul has. Or Kellan's/Taylor's. I like skinny abd guys if that's right? ;)

Ashley has been papped in Baton Rouge...Why wouldn't that surprise me? I wonder when Rob and Kristen are spotted together. Rose, do you have a feeling of anything happening? Usually when you have one, in less than a week something happens.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yeah, the VD dude doesn't look right.

As for True Blood--Vampire Eric is very attractive but I have a thing for Vampire Bill.

Guess I'm just chatty today, huh? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  6. angelica1, he does look square! I like a bit of a shape when it comes to abs, and not massive abs either.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'm not a Stefan fan (Go Damon!), but I definitely agree with the Alexander Skarsgard love. I have been reading your blog for the past few months and it made my day to learn that you also love my other favorite vampire. Besides, Robert is WAY hotter when he is not playing a vampire, IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yeah,I prefer Bill to :)

    As for Ashley being papped,SHOCKER!!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Brilliant, sassy writing, Rose! Always love your blog.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Ok I agree I don't really like the Vampire diaries that much. And I agree with SueBee Rob is better than the imitations. But I have to say every time I see the phrase
"VD guy" the image of vampires and great abs goes out of my head and I find myself thinking about penicillin shots.

    Congrats Suebee on first comment!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I've never watched VD if you like it Rose I may have to give it a try. I love True Blood :)

    Great post, Rose!!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful afternoon!!

  12. When I wrote VD guy I thought--Oh great-venereal disease guy! LOL
    Not intended.

I could count the ways Rob wins hands down but it's common knowledge.

And not to sound weird--but I like when a man has a bit of hair on his chest (Light layer not sasquatch)! It looks more natural to me.

    ReplyDelete
  13. There really is only one Sexy Vampire and he isn't on True Blood or VD (that's a disease you know). I do admit though, that I was kind of partial to Spike from Buffy.

    Congrats Sue on first.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Robert Wins...Hands Down!!

    No Comparison!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's why Robert is on the Big Screen!!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi Rose!!

The guy from 'Vampire Diaries' doesn't do nothing to me...Rob WINS BIG TIME.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Why do I have to enter my password twice?

It looks like we're all on the same page with the VD.

    Sue,

    I agree, a little man-fur is nice.

    ReplyDelete
  17. OF COURSE ROBERT WINS!!!!
    He always wins!

I actually prefer the other vampire on Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder.

Robert Pattinson not only wins against other vampires... he just fucking WINS. Period.

    :))

    ReplyDelete
  18. Rose i have to give it to you once more You just know what to say. I miss our boy cant wait to see his beautiful face and you are right about his love for kristen you can only see it in his eyes and in that BIG FUCKING SMILE he has when he with her .i'v haven't seen Vampire Diaries But I can say the boys do look sexes BUT not as good as Rob that man is beyond sexy hummmmmmm What a lucky Girl Kristen is to have all that and then some. 19. Rose~

There is no comparison with Paul and Robert...Robert wins hands down!!

Robert just has that allure, that look, you know? Everything about him comes shining through!! :)

Yummy Alexander!! He can do bad things to me...hehe...I LOVE True Blood!!

Have a great weekend all (norm and sane)!!

  20. I like the shoulders. A nice set of strong shoulders gives you something to hang on to.

(Did I say that out loud?) Oh well! It's true!

As for wash board abs--a bit of definition work for me--doesn't have to be squares you can scrub your clothes on.

    ReplyDelete
  21. bwaahahhhaha:" with a great relationship comes great responsibility." You are the best!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hey everyone!

    Ooooooh nice post Rose ;-)

I've never seen True Blood or Vampire Diaries but just from the pics alone yeah I definitely agree....Rob wins hands down.

Hope your all having a great Friday!

    Much love,

    Liza

  23. Leeeeeeeeeeeeza!

    Hi Sweetie!

You've never seen True Blood? I highly recommend it!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi SueBeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I know I said it last night but you look so lovely in your outfit! Total knockout.

No I haven't seen either of them. I don't really watch all that much tv. Maybe I'll check it out though if you recommend it :-)

    *huuuuuuuugs*

    ReplyDelete
  25. I've always had a thing for vamps, can't explain it because I don't like most movies dealing with the occult or demonic in nature. But vamps...maybe because there's usually something still human about them. Winona Ryder and Gary Oltman in Brahm Stoker's Dracula....there's something about that that gets me.

True Blood looks...too bloody for me. I've been watching and loving VD, but its losing some of its draw for me.

I agree, Rob hands down over all. His self-effacing humor, gorgeous face, nice bod that isn't obsessed over, drinking beer, hanging w/ friends - I love it! And...while the abs may have had some help, they're his!

    ReplyDelete
  26. There's no comparison between Twilight/Robert and Vampire diaries/Paul. It's like comparing a good steak with tofu...

But I can choose between Salvatore brothers, and I go for Damon!

Dear Rose, I'm missing Rob and Kristen. Your blog, the pics are compensating a bit the longing for Robsten, but I need Robsten news, pics!! How long shall we have to wait?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Do you get HBO in England? Sorry if that's a stupid question.

Thanks for the compliment on the pic! (Hugs) I'll pay you later! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  28. This was a sexy post! As for who is the hottest...well Rob because he has more than just great looks.

I like the VD- attractive cast and interesting story lines. Ian definitely has my vote as hottest on that show.

I saw one episode of TB and that was it. Never got into it for some reason but if we are talking hot guys well it has to be Joe Manganiello (yes I know a werewolf-switching sides this time).

In the grand scheme of things the vamps always win!

    ReplyDelete
  29. more reason to come...

(side note- VD is a STD, so ROB WILL ALWAYS WIn)

Robert Pattinson why i love him...
    tell me if you agree

    He is intimidated by press/Hollywood.
He disconnects himself from the success of Twilight.
Fame chased him, he didn’t chase fame.
He doesn’t take things for face value, enjoys learning, understanding, and analyzing scripts, books, movies, song lyrics.
He tries to make good jokes in interviews, because someone told him to be funny, but it always turns out awkward.
He fills silences with nonsense, and admits that he does that.
He naturally dazzles when he sees Kristen, no vampire powers needed.
The fact that he is interested in a girl like Kristen, she is awesome.
He has a cool group of friends, his family is seems fun too.(I want to meet his parents, he speak so nicely of them.)
He did a movie about Sept. 11, and produced because he cared so much for the project.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Okay, Joe the werewolf on TB is the only wolf I like. The guy is huge, like 6 foot 5?

I always imagined the wolves on Twilight looking like him. Think Someone dropped the ball there.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Ohmigosh.. Alexander Skarsgård... *dreamy sigh*

I don't watch Vampire Diaries.. kiddo does. I know the book series has been around for quite a while, and she reads those too. The guys are cute enough I suppose.. but yeah.. gotta agree. Rob wins overall against those guys. :)

    Hi everybody!!! *hugs*

Tracy!! I was just going to msg you and see if you were around!

    *kisses*

  35. Wait, that didn't sound right. It sounded like I prefer myself. (WTF? Right?)

I mean that I prefer brunette men.

Okay, just had to fix that!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Susan I knew what you meant. LOL!

I find myself attracted to men with brown hair as well over blondes.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Liza!! *HUGS*

    I'm here! You're here! w00t!

    :) LOVE YOU!

  38. Chabad,

I liked your post. Especially, "he didn't chase fame, it chased him'.

    ReplyDelete
  39. hello rose....i twirl with you...and i can understand, that ther is no picture of a kiss between rob and kristen...there's no need for one. and the open pda between ashley and joe, sorry i have to say it, grosses me out. there is no privacy there. it's too much..tooo clingy...and too fake for my liking. so i prefer the privat relationship btw rob and kris, just my opinion. and i really hate the vampire diaries, cause they don't have to do anything with the original books anymore!

    ReplyDelete

  41. Yay Tracy!

I sent you a little parcel today!

    :-D

    LOVE YOU TOO!

    ReplyDelete
  42. OH Rose! I remember watching the first season of TB when it wasn't this popular. The gore, hard core sex. Yummy. :) Though I am more of a Bill girl , he doesn't get enough credit IMO, now when Anna and Stephen got together it's obviousness they met on the set. There fans didn't go spread hate to diff fan sites and there are many TB fan sites out there. Them meeting reminded so so much of R and K. Now um look where they are in there relationship :)Though there fans are much older then the Twilight Saga's and it so shows with how this fan base acts for the most part. I also love Vampire Diary's, but it really pisses me off we see more passion and sex on reg TV then the Twilight Saga will ever do.

Summit panders to the tween fan base ,when most of us real fans who spend money are over 21. I kind have excepted that part of being a Twilight fan. It is what it is,but what I really cant wait for Rob and Kristen to be done with it to be honest, sometimes it seems it holds them back to a point. The movies are criticized constantly and the fans act like screaming nuts LOL I want them to be taken seriously in the industry.

oh Rose..no pic of Ian? he is one sexy vamp boy! Is it hot in here?

    ReplyDelete
  43. I have to add Spike and Angel! I miss them so! I wish they would make a Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie, like a good one not that shit from 1990 !

Maybe KS can be Buffy? dye her hair blond? Rob can be Angel or Spike! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  44. me likes this post

me doesnt really like VD or TB

I watched about 4 episodes of VD and while I like Paul and I absolutly adore Ian, the show was just ... meh.

and TB? yeah, I saw 10 minutes of it and I guess that was enough for me. not my cup of tea at all.

I guss I like me my nerds more then I like me the vampires. wouldnt mind Rob playing a nerd again. he would look hot in glasses. which reminds me that I have yet to see BMH or HTB. so many movies, so little time

    *twirl you later*

    ReplyDelete
  45. I changed my mind. Rob can be Spike. (I want him to play a bad sexy Vamp)

Tom can play Angel. How would that go down ya all think? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  46. Uhm.. it's not his hair that I'm attracted to!! Just sayin!!

    ;) hehehehehehehe

I'll be anxiously waiting for my parcel Liza :) *HUGS*

  47. Rose, great blog as usual. I too like Vampire Diaries and Stefan is very cute, but he doesn't compare to our Rob. I also watch True Blood, and there are lots of good looking guys on there, but again, they don't compare to our Rob. I know Rob and Kris are together, and we don't need pictures, although they are nice to see occasioally.Take care Rose, I think I will twirl myself, once or twice or 100 times. Have a good weekend fellow Roselanders.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hi Barbara! Come chat with us some time :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. He he Tracy! I'm not sure I know what you mean ;-) lol

    Hi 30 & Melinda!

    ReplyDelete
  50. 30 - I think Tom would be better as Giles. I can definitely see Kristen as Buffy and Rob as Spike though :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. I was watching am old film today, Spellbound. I loved those old movies and realized that the actors I found the most attractive were tall, lean and classy; Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda and Gregory Peck. Alot of the actors now are buff and macho. This is why I am drawn to Robert, he's just classy.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Birdie "Spellbound" AWESOME movie..and you're right about Rob..classy

    ReplyDelete
  53. 30,

I see you were a Spike fan too. I admit I've always had a thing for vampires.

I always liked Giles too, but I think it was the accent and just the character in general.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Birdie-

I so agree with you! Do you know some media outlets have called Rob and Kristen a modern day Bogie and Bacall. I can see that.

Tracy- well I am going to take your word for it but for looks purposes Alexander still does nothing for me.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Hey 30, Kami, Penny and Liza! Gotta get all my greetings in.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Melinda,

I can so see that. Now they were a class act. Lauren Bacall oozed sexuality.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Hi, Birdie, Liza, Tracy, Kami, Melinda, Angelica,30,

Did I miss anyone? Hello if I did.

    Melinda,

Alexander does nothing for me either. There's something about his face that reminds me of McCauley Culkin, the Home Alone kid.

It takes all kinds otherwise we'd all want to be married to the same guy.

    ReplyDelete
  58. PL- LOL he kind of does...

Okay gotta make a run to the store.

Cheerio ( that's for you Liza but I am sure you probably never say that, we Americans just imagine you do!)

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hi everyone sorry it took me so long, got a delivery..I think my hubby is up to something..yesterday Roses, like this ---------->
    today a live plant.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Kami,

That is so sweet. And some people say the romance dies when you get married. What do they know.

I've got to go now and fix dinner. Isn't that romantic?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Rose,

This post made me laugh just because you were so random and kinda sorta manic. Thanks for the giggle!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Gotta run for a few.. have to track down the kiddo, and do the dinner thing, and so on so forth :)

Be back in a little bit!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Yeah, it is very sweet and romantic, he is a wonderful husband and I love the gifts however to me I think it spells out "By the way babe It's going to take much longer than expected"

    ReplyDelete
  64. Oh yes Penny, I am a huge Buffy the Vampire fan. I read the comics to!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Smitty,

So you're still lucid? Then I think you're ok. Thanks for checking in.

    ReplyDelete
  66. So,I'm watching New Moon and can I just say how much it annoys me when Jacob and Alice say "Charrrrrrrlie" !!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I LOVE Vampire Diaries, it's really gotten good this year. And last season they even had a little blurb about Twilight lol yea they're nice to look at but I'm with you Rose, Rob wins everytime for me. Thanks Rose

    ReplyDelete
  68. Really interesting post today Rose.

Rob wins hands down. No contest whatsoever!

    Many great comments,
    770, liked your list.
Birdie and Kami...yes, he is so classy and I see him growing in the same vein as the older greats as he matures.

Don't care at all for the VD's Paul. Ian, however, is the good looker on that show. (Go former Lost cast member.)
Agree with several; Alex does absolutely nothing for me. And OMG, Penny Lane, that is exactly it, he does look somewhat like McCauley Culkin.

    Smitty, glad you are OK.
The worst that I ever did was go for a bike ride with some friends, not pay attention to where I was going; we all turned to look at a deer running across the road into the woods, and then I rode smack into the back bumper of a parked car on the side of the road. Of course I fell over and of course was the laughing stock of the group. Survived with only gravel burns, a sprained wrist and no whiplash thank goodness.

Cate, awesome potato leek soup recipe. Will try this weekend.

    Hugs to all

  69. For Rose:
What you write, now that's entertainment!

    Everything's Coming Up Roses

You'll be swell, you'll be great.
Gonna have the whole world on the plate.

    Starting here, starting now,
    Honey, everything's coming up roses.

Clear the decks, clear the tracks.
You've got nothing to do but relax.

Blow a kiss, take a bow.
    Honey, everything's coming up roses.

Now's your inning, stand the world on it's ear.
Set it spinning, that'll be just the beginning.

    Curtain up. Light the lights.
You got nothing to hit but the heights.

You'll be swell, you'll be great.
I can tell, just you wait.
That lucky star I talk about is due.

Honey, everything's coming up roses for me and for you.

You can do it, all you need is a hand.
We can do it, Mama is gonna see to it!

    Curtain up. Light the lights.
We got nothing to hit but the heights.

I can tell, wait and see.
    There's the bell, follow me.
And nothing's gonna stop us 'til we're through.

Honey, everything's coming up roses and daffodils!

Everything's coming up sunshine and Santa Claus!

Everything's gonna be bright lights and lollipops!

Everything's coming up roses for me and for you!

  72. Rose as usual love the post. Love the randomness. Maybe I'm not as crazy as I thought for watching all the vampire shows. Apparently there are several people in the same boat. Looking at the comments on the last post I noticed someone counting RNs on this site. Well I mostly just lurk here but I'm proud to say I'm a part of that club too. I'm a newborn nursery nurse. How funny is it that there's a lot of vampire loving, Rob obssessed RNs running around on the planet?

    ReplyDelete
  73. Leslie,

I was asking that. I had read multiple posts that led me to believe there may be few nurses on here. I work in outpatient surgery.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Cate! I copied that potato soup recipe also. OMG My tummy was growling just writing it! That is one I am def going to make soon :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Love out to all of the Roseland nurses!
We're so lucky to have you.

Please feel free to give me advice and boss me around, when you feel it is necessary or you're in a mood.

  76. Hello Roselanders,

Hope you are all having a dynamite day!

Good Post Rose, I guess being a vampire is the "in" thing...I'll take the 109 yr. old guy anyday...

    @ Kami,

I googled "Snap the Garter Game", and it brought it up, its under bedroom games,striptease--LOL

I also wanted to clarify something about my BF granny---I posted from work, and was in a hurry and she ended up sounding like a floozie, which she was not..when I called her "baby doll", I meant she always looked nice, had her hair done, wore make-up, was always as neat as a pin...in no way did I mean she got pimped out..LOL

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hi Bren Hi Kami Hi all! Where is everyone tonight? I mean how dare you all have a life outside of Roseland LOL

If I miss any of you, have a great night! Reminder: Supernatural is having some thing on tonight about the Cullen Vampires or something. Ck it out ;)

    ReplyDelete
  78. LOL Bren thank you so much I appreciate it and Your BF Granny sounds wonderful

    ReplyDelete
  79. Birdie, Leslie, Dreamer,

I'm also an RN. I've worked Labor and delivery for a long time. I love my job and feel very lucky to be in this profession. Yes, I've noticed that several people here are RN's too.

  80. Birdie
Oops, I misunderstood. So take me off of the nurse count, I am not 1.

    Cate
Soup recipe appreciated and bookmarked, thanks.

  83. Dreamerkind,
Thank you for the hug! It just made me cry because I think I got in trouble here yesterday. I posted something yesterday in reaction to and totally aimed at the bad person here yesterday. I won't even go into it but it was deleted. I know it was kinda (pretty) racy but trying to be funny too. I'm rambling I know but I love this blog, hardly ever post, but thought I was kicked out of Roseland. You are SO sweet!!!
    Thank You,
    Lacey

  84. Hello Roselanders!

Rose-great post. Rob wins hands down. He's a total package: beautiful face, body, height, humor and personality every woman wants. Lucky Kristen indeed and he hit the jackpot with Kristen too. Two peas in a pond ;-)

I dont watch VD but that Ian guy is cute. Im not particularly an abs-woman(if there such a word) but i can appreciate one. Im into the eyes and lips kind. Both Rob and Tom have beautiful eyes, you can see depth and mischief esp. in Tom.

I also watched TB's first season, it was ok but too much sex its like im watching vampire porn, LOL (no offense meant to TB fan here)

As far as I know, only Rose kicks people off of this blog, sweets!

Then again, she is a very fair-minded, judicious blogger and I doubt that she would do that, only to very offensive, extreme posters.

Leo the cybergod is Rose's bud in the fight against that, and he "toasts" culprits, too. (Smitty & Company, many thanks.)

For sure, posts in cyberspace are easy to misunderstand, as we all know.

    Welcome aboard, Matey!

  96. Hi! Roselander's!

Must agree Rob is the best vamp out there. I liked Alec O'loughlin in Moonlight also.

Glad to hear Smitty is okay. I manage to bang my head on a regular basis. At work they love to make fun of me about that. It's an ongoing joke. How I can drive a truck and not hit anything but walk and kill myself is amazing.

I'm gonna try that potato soup it sounds delish.

My computer is still hanging out in Cali so I'm slow typing on the phone still. Gotta work tomorrow also. But I'm enjoying the full moon. Makes me think of Louisa. I miss her.

  107. I wanted to run something past y'all, if you don't mind. It happened yesterday. An older religious lady I deliver medicine to on a regular basis kinda shocked me yesterday.

She always gives me a hug and tells me everything will be okay. Yesterday when I was on my way back to my truck she said three days. I. Stopped and she repeated three days. I asked her what she was talking about. She said the holy spirit just told her in three days I would have something happen to me. She said she did not know what it was.

Kinda freaky. Never had that happen. Before. She has never seemed extreme or prophetic before. An y thoughts?

  109. Show Me The Way

Every night I say a prayer in the hope that there's a heaven.

And everyday I'm more confused as the saints turn into sinners.

All the heroes and legends I knew as a child,
have fallen to idols of clay

And I feel this empty place inside,
So afraid that I've lost my faith

Show me the way, show me the way
take me tonight to the river

    And wash my illusions away
    Please show me the way

And as I slowly drift to sleep, for a moment dreams are sacred.

I close my eyes and know there's peace in a world,
    so filled with hatred

That I wake up each morning and turn on the news,
to find we've so far to go.

And I keep on hoping for a sign, so afraid that I just won't know.

    Show me the way,
    Show me the way

Bring me tonight to the mountain
    And take my confusion away
    And show me the way

And if I see a light, should I believe
Tell me how will I know

Give me the strength and the courage
To believe that I'll get there someday

    And please,
    Show me the way

You are the Captain of your own ship - relating to fate.

You will be able to change not only your own fate but also the fate of others.

Bump your ship into other ships and it will change their fate."

I have had some strange things happen to me over the years...along that line sort of...one day i was eating lunch with co workers in the cafeteria at the hospital and a nurse sat down next to me asked me for the salt and pepper...i was engaged in conversation with the person seated across from me so i just picked up the salt and pepper and sat it by her plate and continued my conversation.. she then tapped me on my shoulder and asked me why i handed her the salt and pepper and i looked at her astonished and said because u asked me to and she said no i didnt but i was thinking it. so thats just one example of weird that ive had...i believe we should keep ourselves "open" to possibilities but not get too worked up about it.

  139. Read this history of a song that I may or may not post:

This song boasts one of the most interesting titles in Country music, and as Howard Bellamy tells it, it originated from a phrase coined by one the 20th century's most enduring comedians.

Says Bellamy, "I have to give credit for that line to Groucho Marx. That's going way back. Of course you've heard of the Marx Brothers.

Groucho used to have a show on TV when we were growing up - which I hate to even admit how long ago that was - but he had a show called You Bet Your Life, and he'd have guests on, and different quiz questions.

And Groucho smoked a cigar - that tells you how long ago it was, he smoked cigars on a TV show. He'd use that line occasionally, he'd say, (secret song lyrics) and shake his cigar and kind of raise his eyebrows.

So we had heard that line growing up, and our family always had a weird southern sense of humor, and they'd use that line around a lot.

So it just came one day that it'd be a great song title."

Will Dreamer/Dk/DJ/FairyGodmother FGM post it next or not?

So I told a friendly star
The way that dreamers often do

Sorry, there's so much stuff going on here tonight...tell you about it next post---

This evasion is tiresome. Why would I ask them on FB when you have them right there in your house?

I'll ask them now, here, or never.

    It's now or never....

I love that story about the green-eyed future husband while the fiance thought he was.

Dish it when you can, baby.

Love is a Many Splendored Thing.

Syd has apologized for his silliness, a couple of times, and would love to have you back, he really did say that.

  156. First the drama tonight--my husband pulled a giant watermelon out of the garden, and invited our friends next door to have some..well they were here for hours, which is fine because I love them both...but Roseland was waiting...so like 10 min after they left she calls me to see if she left her glasses here, she wants to read and can't find them.
So I start looking everywhere..no dice...then her husband yells I found them..meanwhile my daughter walks in from work and takes my laptop--seems she ordered a new phone and wants to track it....ok that is why I'm away...

    The love story--next post.

  157. Thanks DK I too apologize for my silliness. We learn from our mistakes. For me I have ...Bigtime.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I agree Louisa, we miss you..

Gwen, what did you do today?

    ReplyDelete
  159. Bren

Of course, I speak for gwen and myself, since she lies a little about having company but they were long gone....

So far we're buying this fresh watermelon from the garden, neighbors have to eat it too, husband makes no sense, glasses lost, found, laptop stolen, cell phone ordered story.

    Waiting for the L-O-V-E part.

  160. Louisa

Since you left we have totally adopted the concept of silliness.

We are now called Silliebillies, which you probs know, cause you lurked and waited for our love to pull you in again.

No regrets, hon. Don't make me post that French lyrics, Edith Piaf song about not having regrets cause I will.

  161. Bren asks me about gwen being around?

Louisa asks me about Birdie being around?

Shit and shine-ola, am I invisible or omnipescent?

    ReplyDelete
  162. DK how on earth did you know I "lurked" and I too waited for your love to bring me back.....you must be phsyic ;)

    ReplyDelete
  163. I'm having second thoughts on this, being a public forum--I really don't think I should spill my guts on something so personal-get it?

    ReplyDelete
  164. Bren

I agree, don't do it. Unless there are pictures to post so we can sell it to the magazines.

Seriously, write the story send it to my email, for a private chat.

Not seriously, just the concept of what you wrote in your post is enough to ponder, as we are smart and the rest we can make up to no one's dismay.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Louisa,

There's what 100 posters, and probably 3000 lurkers...I say forgive and forget--and I apologize for sticking my nose where it doesn't fit...

    ReplyDelete
  166. Well I get it....its taken a while But I get it...no need for concern from my end! Just want to thank Birdie for a much earlier thing he/she said. As yes it was and Im happy they remembered. very sweet of them

    nothing exciting for me today.

    Ola Louisa!
    Havent seen you for awhile

    ReplyDelete
  168. Bren no need to apologise I was just teasin! Thank you for your kindness. I appreciate it imensly. You all have been sadly missed from my end. Hope to regain my place in Roseland. But a more subdude place. one of humour and fun.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Bren

You are very bright and maybe accurate, too. That's why I think you are so special.

    Louisa

That's what I enjoy about you, the way you see things with humor.

Others did say they missed you and wished the whole drama had been a comedy instead, which it truly was.

I have a hundo in right here in my hand to bet that others will tell you so, as soon as they see your post. (Hope I win, I'd hate to lose that hundo, again.)

  170. gwen,
Absense makes the heart grow fonder, It was a better option for me at the time to "chill" and take a little break from here. But i'd like to visit now and then just to say HI if that is Ok with you all....then that would be cool with me!

im thinking of doing a little project about my adventures. and im having a hard thinking where to start.

  172. Dreamer,

One thing I will say, when you meet your soul mate you immediately know it---I can relate to Rob and Kristen on this one..He fell in love with her when he saw her in a movie, and she well I'm sure felt the same when he auditioned--didn't matter that she had a boyfriend.

Of course you never want to hurt another person, but you can't escape fate.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Louisa

im cool and ok with it. Everyone is welcome here in Roseland well, execpt to trolls :)

    ReplyDelete
  174. I need to take someone to a mates house.....ya know taximum to the rescue.....i might return , but if I dont.... goodnite Roselanders!

    ReplyDelete
  175. Bren

There is no smooth path to that! But since there is a path, the road less travelled, etc. made all the difference.

I don't usually discuss Rob and Kristen but the fact is, they did both say what you said, in a similar way, exactly about that.

Tonight the word "that" is my fav.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Good night Louisa,

    Just remember you're family...

  182. Dedicated to all vampires & actors who play them:

If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body

If I said you had a beautiful body,
Would you hold it against me?

If I swore you were an angel,
Would you treat me like the devil tonight?

If I was dying of thirst,
Would your flowing love come quench me?

If I said you had a beautiful body,
Would you hold it against me?

Now we could talk all night,
    About the weather.

Could tell you about my friends,
    Out on the coast.

I could ask alot of crazy questions,
Or ask you what I really want to know.

If I said you had a beautiful body,
Would you hold it against me?

If I swore you were an angel,
Would you treat me like the devil tonight?

If I was dying of thirst,
Would your flowing love come quench me?

If I said you had a beautiful body,
Would you hold it against me?

Now rain can fall so soft,
    Against the window.

The sun can shine so bright,
    Up in the sky.

    But daddy always told me,
    "Don't make small talk,"

He said, "Come on out and say,
    Whats on your mind."

So If I said you had a beautiful body,
Would you hold it against me?

If I swore you were an angel,
Would you treat me like the devil tonight?

If I was dying of thirst,
Would your flowing love come quench me?

If I said you had a beautiful body,
Would you hold it against me?

If I said you had a beautiful body,
Would you hold it against me?

If I swore you were an angel,
Would you treat me like the devil tonight
