Robert and Kristen- Because The Night

So.
It looks like my letter 'E' may or may not be fixed.
I just smushed it back down on the keyboard...
and so far... so good.
And my headache is gone.
Always a positive.

Speaking of positives...
I was watching Jimmy Fallon last night
and Bruce Springsteen was the guest.
He performed "Because the Night"
A song I have always loved.
Patti Smith did a brilliant version of it.
And the song has been going through my head non-stop...
So...
Here we go.

Take me now baby here as I am
Pull me close, try and understand
Desire is hunger is the fire I breathe
Love is a banquet on which we feed

Come on now try and understand
The way I feel when I'm in your hands
Take my hand come undercover
They can't hurt you now,
Can't hurt you now, can't hurt you now

Because the night belongs to lovers
Because the night belongs to lust
Because the night belongs to lovers
Because the night belongs to us

Have I doubt when I'm alone
Love is a ring, the telephone
Love is an angel disguised as lust
Here in our bed until the morning comes
Come on now try and understand
The way I feel under your command

Take my hand as the sun descends
They can't touch you now,
Can't touch you now, can't touch you now
Because the night belongs to lovers ...

With love we sleep
With doubt the vicious circle
Turn and burns
Without you I cannot live
Forgive, the yearning burning
I believe it's time, too real to feel
So touch me now, touch me now, touch me now
Because the night belongs to lovers ...

Because tonight there are two lovers
If we believe in the night we trust
Because tonight there are two lovers ...

Because the Night belongs to Lovers.

This post is brought to you by the letters *I*,*S* and *N*

*I* for I don't care if they are IN character or not.
On camera or off.
Robert and Kristen are making out
On camera and off.
That would be Rob and Kristen in each others arms.
IMAGINE what you don't see...
IF you dare.
;)

S for Smitty.
This post is dedicated to my friend.
She's not only beautiful and talented...
but she is kind and sweet and brave.
They can't hurt you now.

and

N for NICE try.
But you will never win.

N for Nikki Reed.
What happened to her?
Anyone know?

Bye for now

A cause is something that makes something else happen. Out of two events, it is the event that happens first. To determine the cause, ask the question "Why Did it Happen?"

An effect is what happens as a result of the cause. Of two related events, it’s the one that happens second or last. To determine the effect, ask the question "What Happened?"

So when the effect occurs, will you know you are the cause?

  32. Kami- Perfect avi! You, SuperRN and I are July babes. Mine is 7/5.

Tracy- I think the adoration is mutual. :) Miss the chipmunk.

Liza- Hope the voice returns soon. :( Did you have a good couple of days off from work?

SMITTY- If you see this...I saw Morning Glory this weekend. My Honest opinion was that the writing could have been better. They underutilized two fantastic veteran actors. I will say that Rachel McAdams carried the whole movie and did a great job doing it. So I would give it 3 1/2 stars.

Thank you so much for sharing that song...so love it..

    It's so Robert & Kristen..

    Have a wonderful song

    ReplyDelete
  84. Oh my God, 30, that is hilarious. There's a picture? I'm so embarrassed for her. And yeah, she just doesn't garner much interest, unless of course she somehow manages to glom onto Rob and Kristen somehow...or mention their names, or go to blogs about them.

    ReplyDelete
  85. On another topic, I just heard Rob was beat out by Ryan Reynolds as People's Sexiest Man of the Year...

Obviously, a conspiracy, since we all know no one's more sexy than Rob!! hahaha

The editors obviously hadn't seen the pics from BD filming in Rio/Paraty...or maybe he's MOST sexy when he's around Kristen!

Sorry for long post...kids need dinner, hubby's just getting home from work... and I should NOT be this "intoxicated" with the R/K love blog...
    :)

    ReplyDelete
  86. So what's her name...the one who plays Rosalie,...uh...Sally uh no...Betty ... uh No...oh yeah Nicky (yeah I know ) is really a Hanson fan...omg how embarrassing is that? Not only is SHE unimportant she is hanging out with the "Mmm Bop" guys!! Bwahahhahaha

Tracy, I'm a summer baby and I hate the heat...Heith is a winter baby and he hates the cold, he was premature and that's the only time in his life he was ever early...I was a month late and like to be the first to arrive.

I did see where Ryan Reynolds got the sexiest man of the year, bet he's got a little "Spring" in his step today.

    Miss Rose:

Awesome post. I saw the skit on fallon. I like the song. I love all the pictures you post. I don't know where you get all these wonderful and amazing pictures, but I don't care just keep them coming.

I do love the individuals pictures of K & R, but I love them together more.

Keep on trucking girlie. Hey do you have a picture of grandma Rose drivng a rig? If you did, maybe she can pick up all the haters and non believers and take them to the dump. :)

  91. Rose..

What a lovely post. I don't post much but I do enjoy the reading. As always you hit the nail on the head with the Bruce song. Being from Philly he is well loved here. The paper here gave his new CD a good review...The other song of Bruce's that comes to mind with these two (love them to death) is Secret Garden. Heard it the other day and Rob and Kristen just popped into my head. Everyone have a wonderful night in Roseland.

    I so just did that.

Barbara Fenwick I hope everything is ok.

  98. Kami, if I'm ever at your house, I promise to preface every move I make with "It's me Kami! Put down the bat!!" so you won't konk me on the head if I'm sneaky walking through the house to get a glass of water. :)

And hello, Barbara Fenwick. It is good to see you.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Ha! Tracy!!

I know exactly what you are talking about. I'm laughing right now because last night the Hubby got called to work and you know we just moved so I'm unfamiliar with the creaks and groans of this house. And Kami, I totally had my Daughters softball bat! Hehehe! I have a pretty good swing so I think I would have been okay :0 But it was just a stupid neighbor cat scratching it's claws on my window screen :/

Babara Fenwick I hope things go well for you. Come back when you can :) You are a wonderful positive person and I love to read your comments.

  100. Wake Up

    Paolo Nutini covers it well:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-PRyB_B2Kc&feature=channel
    by Arcade Fire

    Somethin’ filled up
    my heart with nothin’,
someone told me not to cry.

    But now that I’m older,
    my heart’s colder,
and I can see that it’s a lie.

    Children wake up,
    hold your mistake up,
before they turn the summer into dust.

If the children don’t grow up,
our bodies get bigger but our hearts get torn up.
We’re just a million little gods causin’ rain storms turnin’ every good thing to
    rust.

I guess we’ll just have to adjust.

With my lightnin’ bolts a glowin’
I can see where I am goin’ to be
when the reaper he reaches and touches my hand.

With my lightnin’ bolts a glowin’
I can see where I am goin’
With my lightnin’ bolts a glowin’
I can see where I am, go-go, where I am

  102. The Sound of Silence
    (Acoustic Version)

    Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jqn9SKYAgY
    P. Simon, 1964

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
    Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping

And the vision that was planted in my brain
    Still remains
    Within the sound of silence

In restless dreams I walked alone
    Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turn my collar to the cold and damp

When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
    That split the night
And touched the sound of silence

And in the naked light I saw
    Ten thousand people maybe more
    People talking without speaking
    People hearing without listening

People writing songs that voices never shared
    No one dared
    Disturb the sound of silence

"Fools," said I, "you do not know
    Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you

Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming

And the sign said "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
    And tenement halls
And whispered in the sound of silence

    Thank You/catman916 - youtube

  108. Good Morning Rose and Company,

Barbara Fenwick, will have you in my thoughts and prayers for a short and safe stay. May you be home, healthy and happy very quickly. Hugs to you.

    Have a beautiful day everyone!

  109. Barbara,

I hope you are okay. I don't know if you even read the comments but I love how you just come in, say sweet things to sweet Rose, and that's it. I find it comforting or something. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for a quick stay. Friday should be B is for Barbara day because we care for you and want the best.

Hey everyone, so glad you knew that wasn't me-hope everybody is good and happy otherwise. Sorry Rose has to monitor everything so much. By the way, Leo's mom has been sick so that's why he hasn't been around so much to help out with this stuff. She'll be okay but its been a tough time.

That's it guys--take care and stay happy.

    Smitty (for real)

  110. Morning everyone! Happy Thursday to you. Have an awesome day.

Barbara- sending positive thoughts your way for a speedy recovery. Looking forward to reading your comments once again.

Smitty- they will never win at this stupid little game they are playing. We are smart enough to see through the BS they are spewing. Thanks for the Leo update.
Hope you all are doing okay and what life is throwing you isn't stressing you out to much.

  111. Hi Mel,

I'm good. I don't see what happens--just you guys and the reactions so it truly doesn't but me. I am sorry it kind of interrupts things here and causes Rose to go all board admin but she seems to handle it okay.

    Hope you are well--

  112. It doesn't BUG me--lol--its early.

    ....doesn't but me either. :)

    ReplyDelete
  113. Smitty-

Glad to hear it. They shouldn't cause anyone of us to be upset. They give themselves far much to credit to think we give a shit about what they are saying.

Trying my best to ignore or just keep saying positive things about someone as that seems to piss them off and leave.

  114. Morning Roseland!!

I hope you have a great day Smitty :)

Leo--best wishes for your Mothers quick recovery!

I hope everyone has a great day. It's almost Friday!!!

  115. Leigh-

I meant to ask you the other night. Did you move out of state or are you still in town just a different house?

Didn't you live on that island?

Also how was the game? I have never been to a live professional football game. It always looks like fun.

I have been to NBA games. Once Clyde Drexler landed on me when he was running and couldn't stop so over the wall he went and onto me!

Hope your day is great as well. Payroll today right???

  116. Melinda--I honestly don't know what the motivation is for doing this. It makes zero sense. If they want to they can say insulting things directly to me (and they do that too--lol--which also is kind of stupid but doesn't bother me) but they seem to get a thrill out of saying it here. Its stupid. I know they are older but they act like 10 year olds. Actually I know 10 years old who are more mature. I hope nobody here gets upset-especially Rose. She keeps saying its okay--hope that is the case.

Hi Leigh!!! I'll pass that on to Leo.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Leigh you moved???? Omgosh if I lived there I don't think I would ever leave! I don't want you to give details but I hope you are somewhere equally awesome. That pic you used to have looked like paradise.

Melinda--did it hurt? lol--those guys are huge! Did they like give you a jersey at least or something?

  118. Okay one last thing and then I gotta go but has anyone ever heard of or done a TurDuckEn? Its a LA thing but its all de-boned then they put a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey. Everyone swears its delicious --just wondering if anyone has had it. I'll check back later.

    ReplyDelete
  119. re: Turducken

Never attempted to cook it, but have had it in a restaurant...makes a very interesting presentation with the 3 different meats rolled into each other...the duck keeps the other 2 (especially the turkey) from drying out.

    Oh, and it's yummy!!

  120. Melinda,

Yep, I'm still in Alabama. I just moved to the 'mainland'. At least it wont take me an hour to get the girls to school. That's one positive. We had a blast at the game thanks! If you ever get the chance to go it's SO much fun! Crazy energy. Of course I would recommend a Saints game :) I have created a monster! My daughter now wants tickets to the SEC championship game for a early Christmas present...heh-don't know if that's gonna happen.

    Smitty,

Yep, we had to move :( Long story but it's hard to live on a island with no homeowners insurance :/ And thanks to Ivan and Katrina it's pretty much impossible to get it without giving them your firstborn. But my parents still live there and I will be spending summers at their house so it's all good :) I have had a TurDuckEn and yeah it's okay. I'm not a huge fan of duck so I prefer just turkey but the rest of my family loves it.

And yes Melinda, today is payroll. I'm off to earn a dollar :) Have a great day!!

  121. Good morning Roseland!

To Barbara Fenwick: Here's hoping for a short stay and a swift recovery.
You bring such positive and comforting energy to this blog.
    Take care.

    Hi Smitty! :)
Never fear we can alway detect the fakers and the BS'ers.

PS: There are so many July babies here. I am one too!

    Here's to a terrific Thursday! :)

  122. Smitty-

My honest opinion, while I don't know details and it isn't my business, it seems they haven't let go of the past for some reason. It's easier to blame others for circumstances than to change what you don't like and move forward. They want to negatively effect any area where you are involved. Thus why they come here.

You (generally speaking here) can't control what people say or do. However, you can control how you react to it.

Anyway...Clyde...well it didn't hurt. We had floor seats behind the basketball hoop. He landed on me in the second row. The woman beside me who was a little tipsy, showing way too much cleavage got all breathy and said "hi" to him. She was one of those woman who could care less about the game just wanted a hookup. And no I didn't get a jersey or anything. Just sweat all over me and an I'm sorry! :)

Okay gotta get to work. I hope if you are doing the same today, things go great if you know what I mean jellybean.

  123. Hi ladies! :) Hope everyone is having a good morning.

I woke up to a big mess over here, My mom decided to put a big new bag bag of potatoes I had out in my freezer last night while babysitting. Ya know moms they are "trying" to help. So I took it out when I got home, I was like why did you do that?

What a mess that made from over night defrosting LOL messy, brown, icky water ALL over. Plus my potatoes were all soggy. Had to throw them out to! I know lame story but that was my morning LOL

Sorry to hear about Leos Mom Smitty, Please wish him well from me. He is a one of the good guys an we appreciate his help. :) I am sure Miss R does also.

Never heard of the Turkey thing you were asking about, but sounds yummy in any case. Probably nice, and different to have if there's a big group of friends/family over for Thanksgiving instead of just a plain ol Turkey.

Barbara F. Please get better soon and come back to Roseland when you can. :) We will miss seeing your sweet posts..

    ReplyDelete
  124. Oh no! I meant to also include a word of comfort for Leo too...........I hope your mom is recovering well.

I'm so sorry I left that out in my previous comment.

  125. @Melinda:
I want to add a thought to what you said. It's none of my business and it's not why I'm here but I think that person believes they should be the one in the spotlight, the one everyone should be raving about especially after the early success.
It didn't pan out the way that person thought it would and since then she has always been a reluctant and bitter supporting player.

To see a once talented person become so vitriolic to another person because of jealousy is sad indeed.

There may be more but for me that's the crux of all the bitterness, angst, insults and uncontrollable anger at the person we all admire here.

    That's all.

    ReplyDelete
  126. No problem Annie- I will let him know. Thanks for all the good wishes. He likes you guys and Rose too of course.

Mel--I totally agree. If nothing else I've kind of learned that and one of my friends always says that the best revenge is living well. I'm not really into the revenge thing but I do think one of the fringe benefits of being happy, working hard, living a good life, having friends (all the normal stuff that sane people just do naturally) is to remember that seeing that (just seeing normal happy life) makes them mad. Mostly the behavior is just not explainable--I've tried and have given up-there's no sane way to rationalize people who are like that fucked up. I hope it gets better but its just an annoyance--I hope this how people here view it too.

Alright-way too much for this early.

Thanks for the info on the turducken--not sure about it but appreciate the opinions.

    Happy Thursday everyone!

    OH--Liza--HI!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  127. A turducken is just too fuckin complicated. Who wants to take a chicken, stuff it in a duck, then stuff the duck in the turkey? If someone else cooked it, I'd try it.. but no way would I attempt that myself. Plus, that's a LOT of food!

Happy Thursday (see.. I knew those days of the week socks would come in handy) everybody!!

And I'm happy to report.. no Ninja action required last night. The noise was another tv in the house that was turned down really low, and I only kept hearing it every few minutes when a loud scene was on.

Good wishes for Leo's mom as well. I hope she feels better soon! You may not speak to us often Leo, but we lurve you.

And Barbara Fenwick, we will be thinking of you while you're in the hospital. Take care of yourself and come back as soon as you can. We truly do love reading your posts.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Tracy-agreed the turducken seems way to complicated. Plus out of those 3 I only eat chicken. I eat ham on Thanksgiving.

Glad you didn't have to go all ninja on someone last night.

Did you ever get DOTW undies when you were a kid? I did and I never understood that.

Also People's SMA came out...fresh meat for the meat locker...tehe...

Bored at work. When people are late to meet you to fill out paperwork to start working for you it makes you wonder how they are going to be as an employee....

  129. Good Morning Everyone!

Sending postive vibes out to Barbara Fenwick and Leo's mom:)

Nice post, Rose. I love it when you put a song in your posts because then it's in my head for at least a couple of days. Guess it's a good thing you always pick good songs!

Hope everyone has had a good couple of days. On the turducken....not so much for me. It's just too much! Give me a plain ol' roasted turkey...or even a fried one...any day. Of course, I've lived here for 10 years and still don't eat boudain, deermeat, or crawfish ( unless it's peeled, deveined, and cooked in a nice cheese or garlic sauce & served over pasta!) so maybe I'm not the best judge of trying new things!

I hope everbody has great day today!:)

    ReplyDelete
  130. I BELIEVE...Well that explains it cause I knew you were SPECIAL!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  131. LOL I can just see me walking around the house with a baseball bat swinging at guest! Of course it could be worse, I'm from Texas I could be carrying a gun.(I have three) LOL

Turducken is chicken, stuffed with sausage, shoved into a duck, shoved into a turkey....if you EVER want to try this, have someone else prepare it for you... not worth the hassle.
