This is supposed to be my 'good' post.

All kinds of nice.
It's why I'm still here.
Day after day...
Year after year.
I'm still trying to figure out why stuff makes me feel the way I feel.
Like.
Robert Pattinson.
and Kristen Stewart.
I mean... on the surface
being intoxicated with Rob is pretty natural... isn't it?
Talented, witty, intelligent, gorgeous man.
(he's so much more than that, but you get the idea)
The same things can be said about Kristen...
Talented, intelligent, beautiful...
But that's not what I'm trying to work on.
WHY do I feel so protective over them as well?
My post yesterday was in response to the ridiculous attacks on Kristen
for her 'behavior' at the PCAs.
Although no matter what she had done at the show
she would have been vilified and shredded.
People in this fandom seem to forget the real stuff...
The GOOD stuff...
So easily.
It's like they would rather focus on a nervous Kristen
Speculating on what every move meant
instead of remembering that a week ago...
Kristen and Rob were kissing and hanging out.
How can you just forget that?
Because it wasn't on TV?
Or because your attention span is like a gnats on crack?
I don't get it.

The fact that Kristen flew over to England for the holidays...
(Second year in a row, mind you)
Spent said holidays with Rob
his family... friends...
Means nothing now?
Just because Kristen didn't hang all over Rob
on some cheesy award show
means that a week after they were spotted
together and KISSING (how can you forget that??)
Their relationship doesn't exist?
How the hell does that work?
It's not like I had a lot of faith in this fandom to begin with...
The amount of crazy that roams free is terrifying.

What I've found is that a lot of people aren't really fans at all.
They don't necessarily care that much for Rob or Kristen.
They use their 'fandom' as an excuse to hate.
Yes.
There is hate for both Rob and Kristen.
But Kristen gets the brunt of it.
I totally get that there are people out there that don't care for Kristen.
They don't have to accept them as a package deal.
But the ruthless attacks on a girl...
JUST BECAUSE Rob wants to be with her are pathetic.
And yeah...
keep clinging to Taylor helping Kristen up the stairs
(who would have thought Taylor was a nice guy?)
as some sort of relationship barometer.
Let's ignore that through it all...
Rob and Kristen
ALWAYS
end up together.
Time after time.
And the next time a picture is released
showing them out and about
(and it will happen)
Then what?
The same tired bullshit will be regurgitated again and again...
Tell me...
Is it as bitter coming back up...
as it was going down?

He could have invited any number of girls along...

It was Rob and Kristen.
Next to each other.
Always.
Even Kissing.

And yet... here I am
All protective and defensive about 2 people
who most certainly don't need my protection.

So where does that leave me?
I should just be resigned to the fact that
people will always twist what is right in front of them...
To fit their point of view.
We all see things differently.
We all have our opinions.
But while that is all well and good...
Sometimes you should ask yourself the motives
behind what people are saying and doing.
Me?
My motive is two fold.
I want to understand why I continue to be intoxicated
with a 24 year old British actor...
Why I feel the need to defend and protect him and Kristen...
But most of all...
I just enjoy watching their relationship...
Seeing them looking all smitten and in love
And happy.
I'm all about the Happy.
Twirling and Laughing and Happy.
Because I know...
in my heart of hearts
in my gut
That Rob and Kristen not only are together...
But are deeply in love
and completely committed to each other.
Living together.
Working together.
Traveling together.
Vacationing together.
Together.
As always.

I hope we would get back to that and only that and stop this stupid craziness about who is right and who is wrong.

I think their inclusion of Taylor at these public appearances demonstrates the kind of people Rob and Kristen really are. How would you like to be viewed as the third wheel all the time next to the "it" couple? Both of them make an effort to include Taylor. That shows they are true friends and look out for each other. We should commend them on that, not criticize.

I think it comes down to many in the fandom had a false expectation given the pics we got from NYE. They expected the hiding was now over and R/K would act more carefree in front of and behind the cameras with each other. Rob's looks of adoration are so apparent to the point everyone is commenting on it. Really just that simple, questioning to me doesn't equal hating on someone.

As for the post you hit everything head on again. I feel and wonder the exact same things.
I am 29, have a husband and two kids. I have never been "starstruck" until I saw Rob for the first time in Twilight. Where I saw Kristen as well and feel in love with them both before I even fathomed that idea that they were falling for each other in real life.
Now I love them both because I see the love they have between each other. And I love how they keep that love private and for themselves. There love for each other should not be a show for us all to watch.

Most of us real fans come for the positive aspects you post, and always love to see you defend Rob & Kristen against the negative foamers.
But because of your higher profile Rose, you do spread the word of just how solid and committed Rob & Kris are... You are a positive force against their haters and you only have to read the many, many supportive comments on your blog to know that many agree with you and support you.
More and more I am finding little quotes from your blogs (your words) turning up in various other sites, holding you up as a shining example of what is right...
So YES... Rob & Kris do need YOU, and all of us "real fans" to be noisy enough in our support, to drown out the moronic, uneducated, possibly sick and definitely un-evolved beings who get some kind of perverse pleasure out of things like "picking on a beautiful young girl" because they fancy "her man" or conversely, picking on a "gorgeous man" because they cannot have him for themselves... This is not a dig,but thought I would share a couple quotes that have often helped me and might benefit people in this fandom.

Rose I am not just a fan of Rob or Kristens I am a fan of the love I see between them everyday. I worked in retail and they used to say that when you had a good experience you told one person and when you had a bad one you told 30 people. So the point about the crazies being louder is so true. I have people tell me they are glad Rob and kristen are together but in reality they are more for Rob cause when I read between the lines I can see the happiness it brings them when Rob and Kristen don't act the way a couple should. To find love like they have is hard enough, especially in hollywood. And to watch the way Rob looks at Kristen brings me such joy. So on that note with acceptance comes peace and with denial comes hate. I accept so I am at peace which in turn makes me happy...

You took the words out of my mouth R. AGAIN! I was defending them on another blog saying to leave them the fuck alone, that they are not circus monkeys performing the way some of us want them to. No matter what they do they just can't seem to win. When I look at them I see love, lust and understanding. When they look at eachother they just know. Do I have to explain? No, cause anybody that's in a relationship knows what I'm talking about. The fucking bullshit, I just can't believe how every R/K move is so overanalyzed, it's really sad if you think about it. I really hope that people don't tell them what's going on, on the net and if they do know I just hope they are laughing their heads of at the stupidity of some people. I really don't want to waste to much of my time thinking about these assholes but why the viscious hate people? What the hell did they ever do to you? ROSE and ROSELANDERS...There are many "layers" to this intoxication. The "incredible and oftentimes BREATHTAKING handsomeness" of this man is hard to wrap around ones brain. So seldom do a combination of physical features come across on a human being that can literally stop ones heart from beating...but damn it, Edward or no Edward,that is EXACTLY what occurs. I know Rob is EMBARRASED and doesnt understand why he does that to people...all I can say is "it just does" Im sorry... but IT DOES!
ReplyDeleteI wont go into ALL the other attributes that Rose has so eloquently again described in todays post except for what I consider to be the SHOW STOPPER..the way he "LOOKS" at Kristen Stewart...it is like having a HIGH...like COCAINE just to see the love and commitment that those eyes reveal..That is WHY we are INTOXICATED!
I can tell you all this, because we are ALL in the same predicament...(my family wouldnt understand), but you all DO and I am so thankful to Rose for providing this venue..If EVER I were to come face to face with either of them , IF I didnt faint first...heh...I would not bother them. I dont know that I could even make myself approach them because it makes me physically SICK to see how people HUNT them down like dogs...and we are or most of us anyway..are complete strangers to them...It is all TOO MUCH.. for a couple as young as they are to have to be subjected to all of this...the scrutiny of the... excuse my French... No matter what Rob and Kristen do in regards to their relationship, people (haters and Robsten fans alike) are going to bitch about it.
Might I add, I highly doubt they sit around thinking about ways when out in public to either piss people off or make people twirl.
Rob and Kristen are happy. Let's all just be happy for them. I think that it is wonderful that this man and this woman auditioned together and found something richer than just money in the bank.

Why do people think that verbal abuse and violence will make others see their point of view? I'm sitting here watching this story unfold of a shooting in Tuscon, possibly 6 people dead...and I wonder...Why?

Why do people worry and obsess over how a young woman barely out of her teens acted at an awards show? WHO CARES??? At 20 years old how many of us could have even walked in the door of that show much less up on stage to accept an award? Celebrity, star, or normal every day citizen...none of that matters...She is a human being who has the right to be who she is...not who we think she should be.

That doesn't mean theyre not together or don't love each other, it means the opposite that what they have is special to them, only them.

MELINDA,KAMI,HOPE,and PL and anyone else who is still ON...I too am following the situation in ARIZONA...I am not familiar with that politician...I guess in the next few hours we will find out if this was a "disgruntled" citizen or whether it is someone she KNEW...either way it is beyond TERRIBLE to go to the Grocery store and then get shot at "point blank" range in the head..My prayers go out to her family and constituents.

Why I'm so taken by them is not a mystery.It's the way they love one another. My favorite picture from the PCAs is a close up of Rob who is all teary-eyed looking at Kristen when she won favorite actress. I defy anyone to look at that picture and tell me he isn't totally, hopelessly,and completely in love with her.
The picture of Kristen sitting next to him (I love how they lean in towards each other)with her hand on his knee makes me feel so warm. She looks at him with such love.
My cousin lives in Arizona, he had been paralyzed for years and years, a few years ago he was hit by a hit and run driver, this Congresswoman and her office have helped him with in dealing with medical costs stemming from that hit and run accident. She is a good woman and I pray she pulls through and is able to recover.

Rhonda, yes his accident was in 2007...he is a Navy Vet so he has military insurance...after the hit and run accident he received a letter that mistakenly said his insurance had been canceled since he had died...he fought unsucessfully for a while to get it reinstated, as you know if the government says you're dead...you're dead until further notice...he then contacted this Congresswoman's office and she and her staff helped him with the problem and in a few days...everything was back to normal.

Have any of you ever had Starbucks cupcakes? They only get them like before Valentines Day, Jan/Feb. They are out now and OMG HEAVEN. I bought a 4 pack today on my lunch break.:) If you see them, try one. They have red velvet and vanilla cream. Yummy! and a great PMS food too. LOL
ReplyDelete30 - we got the same 8 inches. It's not too cold here - it's -5 celcius, which according to my handy-dandy conversion chart is 23 fahrenheit.
