Connection. Chemistry. Love? Whatever those 2 experienced in that audition was "legendary" and was certainly extremely lacking with Shiloh and he sounds a bit bitter about that.
Also, I think Kristen & Taylor's friendship is cute & sweet. He is a good guy and you can tell they have a great sister/brother type relationship.
Those EW outtakes are cute...a lot of the pix of her and Rob are cute..but also sexy and smoldering and electric.

The first article I saw didn't show the bitterness of Shiloh. But now. Screw him. Kristen obviously wasn't caring for his attitude, which I imagine was " I am hot enough to be Edward Cullen better get with the program". Then she nixed him.

Also, if one or the other doesn't appear at an award show, it's zero reflection on their private life. That stuff is work and they have made it clear their is a distinction.
Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes
ReplyDeleteMakes 24
1 pint cherry tomatoes (or 24 large cherry tomatoes)
1 lb. bacon
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Cut a thin slice off the tops of the tomatoes so they have an even surface to stand and won't roll around.
With a small spoon (melon baller or metal 1/4 teaspoon) scoop out the center of the other side of the tomatoe (the one you didn't slice for even surface) and invert tomatoes on paper towels to drain.
Fry the bacon, drain well and crumble.
Combine the mayonnaise and sour cream; add the onions and parsley and stir well. Stir in the bacon.
Stuff the tomatoes with the bacon mixture.
**That is the recipe as it stands. I made some minor adjustments. I halve the mayo and substitute the other half with cream cheese. And I added a couple tablespoons of chopped corn (for color, taste and texture). Truthfully, it makes a pretty decent dip just served with veggies. Also, it's best to make day of because the tomatoes will wrinkle.
Okay...deviled eggs next.

ROSE...I totally agree about Taylor..He is an exceptional individual...handsome, talented, confident, focused (his physical transformation into the evolving Jacob... that took an incredible amount of hard work to pull off)..a loyal friend..quite impressive characteristics in this day and age..especially in Hollywood, the epitome of decadence, drugs, excess,lies,scandals and back stabbers! I sincerely wish for Taylor and our Trio here all the best and I hope they will continue to be the "exception' rather than the rule. They have "figured it out"..the importance of friends and family..that solid foundation will get them through the tough times.

ReplyDeleteServes 12 deviled egg halves
6 eggs, hard boiled, cooled and peeled
2 tablespoons mayo
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon finely chopped chives
Hot pepper sauce
Paprika
Salt and Pepper
1 tablespoon (or to taste) chopped jalapeno peppers (canned)
3 parsley sprigs for garnish
Place the cooked egg yolks in a bowl. Using a fork, work mayo, mustard, vinegar, chives, and salt and pepper into the yolks to form a smooth paste. Taste. To this, add the jalapenos and season with hot pepper sauce to taste. Fill the egg halves with mixture. Top with paprika. Garnish with parsley sprigs.
And with my bacon ones, I simply leave out the jalapenos and hot pepper sauce and use bacon and chopped green onions instead. And sometimes I use yellow mustard instead of Dijon.
On a fun sidenote: Bobby Long is in concert tonight in Denver at the Bluebird and I am going to check it out. Cannot wait!

ReplyDeleteThe only thing I have to say I diss agree with you about is people not like Taylor because of him being Jacob. I for one am not a fan of Taylor's, and he kind of gets on my nerves. I mean I don't hate the kid or anything I am just not fond of him. But I have to say the reason/s for not liking him are not because of him playing Jacob. I know that RK/T are not their the people they play. I really wish people would not just jump to the conclusion that the dislike for Taylor is because of Jacob. I am sure just like me people have other reason for not liking/being fond of him.
Anyway just though I would have my say. There are lots of people in this fandom( like me) who wish people would stop saying "people only dislike Taylor cause of Jacob" and it kind of gets annoying that people automatically jump to the conclusion. There may be some people out there who blur that line between Tay/Jake, But most know that Tay is not Jacob and there for don't use it as the reason not to like him.

The thing that really turned me off in the Shiloh article was that he didn't have much to say to Kristen & later regretted it after realizing she had input into who actually got the role. It got me thinking about what would have happened had Rob not gone to the audition that fateful day. Would Twilight have been as popular? (I personally doubt it because I believe it was the chemistry between Rob and Kristen that captivated us and pulled us all in.) What would they both be doing career wise? Would they have found their way to each other some other way?
It really is crazy to realize how incredibly pivotal that meeting at Catherine Hardwicke’s house was for their lives.

I recall an early interview with Kristen describing meeting Rob. She was trying to see Rob's eyes under his hair and said he was perfect.He was humble and looked terrified.
She briefly mentions the guys that auditioned before him and how they posed and tried to look cool. I believe someone asked their names and she would not say. Compare this with the cocky ass in the article and I see why she saw through him. Pretty obvious why she was drawn to Rob. Gotta love it!
