Rob and Kristen- Have Been... Will Be.

Is there anything to talk about today?

I guess a couple of things...

First.

Bwahahahaha!
This is how I feel sometimes.
Some people feel the need to 'distance' themselves
from my little opinionated blog.
That makes me laugh.
Hard.
Big Bad Rose!
I'm all thorny and shit.

Why are some people scared to have an opinion
and stick to it?
Is it controversial to state your point of view?
Are you afraid of losing 'followers"?
Probably.
Maybe you think Rob and/or Kristen reads your blog/site
and won't like you if they read what you really think.
Hmmm.

As fucking if.

That's almost as bizarro as Hatesten
actually believing that Rob not only reads their vile spew...
but wouldn't find every syllable offensive and disgusting.

As fucking if.
Um.

Stop trying to fucking kill me, Robert Pattinson.
Just stop it.
It's bad enough you have NEVER looked better
EVER fucking EVER
(sorry... lots of fucks today.)
It's bad enough that WFE is probably going to
kill me ANYWAY.
But these posters...
These pics...
My heart just might not make it through this.

And talking about breaking my heart?

From his Official Site www.carterburwell.com "And he just wrote "Renesmee's Lullaby" for Twilight Breaking Dawn 2, which Rob Pattinson will play on camera. The film will be released in November 2012."

 OK.
If I survive WFE...
(which is in doubt)
THIS will be the fucking end of me.

Rob PLAYING
(and now possibly singing??)
the piano in Breaking Dawn?

*Gripping Chest*

Don't fucking tease #NanaRose!
I'm 110 years old!!
(and I sparkle)

But seriously...
Rob playing (singing)
trumps EVERYTHING else.
Because I can't think of anything more
Sexy
Sensual
Steamy
Than Robert playing piano.
(OK, maybe the guitar)
But you know??
GAH.

Still dying here.

Which brings us to...

WHAT?????
Robert.
Vanity Fair.
Annie Leibovitz.

WHAT????

JFC
Please.
Please.
PLEASE
Let this be true.

Shit.
"You are so beautiful... to me"
Cuz you are.
Still.
So beautiful.
And Vanity Fair seems to bring that out even more...

Oh man.
See.
This is what I mean.
No matter where I turn...
Robert Pattinson
is trying to fucking kill me.

I don't want to sound too cliched...
(why start now?)
But.
WHAT.
A.
WAY.
TO.
GO.

Motherbitch.

And... can we get a photoshoot with Kristen, too?
Pretty Please?
That would be fucking great.
Cuz...

Kristen is fucking beautiful too...

And Rob and Kristen together
is always a WIN.

Not only because they look so incredible together...

But because they just can't seem to hide
how they feel about each other
when they are together.

Some way or another...
We get a glimpse of how they feel.
Yes.
We do.
Robert can't hide it.
You know he can't.

Shaggy and Scrappy Do.

Just because I love Tom Sturridge.
Just because I will probably be putting a picture of him
in my blog until the end of time.
Or the end of my blog.
Whichever comes first.
(My bet is on time)

Let's see... anything else?

1. There was some chatter on Twitter (gasp)
about someone being in a restaurant with the Twi-cast recently.
She said something about Rob and Kristen
being together and close
(something like that)
Not that it's any kind of surprise...
Rob and Kristen...
CLOSE???
AGAIN???
Old news.
But what caught my eye was she said Kristen was 'skittish'
when she went to get her coat and purse...
Now.
Lots of skittish talk.
What does it mean?
Obviously some 'people' have no clue.
SHY is one of the definitions.
Something we all know Kristen to be...
Painfully so.
Yet she gets crucified for this everyday.
How DARE Kristen be shy in public!
OFF WITH HER HEAD!
Perhaps this person meant
DIFFICULT TO HANDLE?
Did Kristen react this way when a stranger approached her?
Probably.
Again.
Total strangers charging into your life...
over and over
add to this...
the known threats on her very life.
Yes.
It's known.
Who wouldn't be skittish?
People threatening you just because you had the
fucking audacity to live your life...
and oh shit...
Robert Pattinson happens to not only be a
very integral part of it...
But is also so blatantly SMITTEN with you.
Yeah.
The nerve of that girl.
Making Robert fall in LOVE with her.

2. The BAFTAS
*Looking into my hypothetical crystal ball*
Yes.
It's coming into focus...
Flights are booked.
The path is almost clear.
Is London is calling?

3. Are you a stalker?
If you become incensed at the very word...
You might be.
Otherwise it would just roll off your back.
Think about it.

This post is brought to you by the letter *T*

T for Tome
There's no place like Tome.
Ever.

T for Thinking.
Are you?
;)

T for
Truth is Truth.
There is no other way around it.

T for Together.
Rob and Kristen
Have been.
Are now.
And WILL be.

Toodles!
♥♥♥
Oh and one more thing....

GREEN BAY PACKERS WON THE SUPER BOWL!!!!
Rodgers putting on his 'championship' belt.

That's fucking RIGHT.
WORLD CHAMPIONS!
The Lombardi Trophy is coming home
where it belongs!
WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!

That is all.
:)

HANDSOME...he re-defines the meaning of that constantly..the most "interesting, sexy, steamy, perfect male face..ok..and physique, too...ON THE PLANET!!! and he is NICE, too which makes us love him all the more.

  2. Hi Rose!

Love your "Take No Prisoners" post today...you must still be all pumped up from your Packers WIN!!

Rose knows...now I can't wait to see them at the Baftas *happy dance*

Have a wonderful Monday, everyone...to Smitty, Gruff, and Syd: hope you're staying safe & sound :)

  3. SKITTISH; definitions: wary, bashful, nervous.
Anyone conjecturing otherwise obviously doesn't have a good grasp of the english language.

  4. Hi Rose,

I'm right there with you when it comes to these pics of Rob. He really has never looked better :)

I wish people would give Kristen a break sometimes. Yes, she is shy..but she admits and owns it. How do people expect her to act if she's startled in public by a stranger? Considering the crap she's had to deal with..I think she handles things remarkably well.

    Bafta's...Can't wait!

Rose- Congrats again on the Packers Super Bowl win!

    Hi Super,Kenzz and Penny :)

  7. Congratulations to the Superbowl Champs! That was a great game.

Rose, I really liked your post today because I think it is time to start focusing on all the great things to come. We have so many great things to look forward to such as WFE, OTR, BD, hopefully for us in the states Bel Ami. We have the filming of Cosmopolis and hopefully we will know something soon about Kristen’s upcoming projects. We have tons of magazine shoots, interviews, and award shows to look forward too, as well as, those precious stolen moments we may get when Rob and Kristen’s aren’t going ninja style on us or let their guard down for a second. This is shaping up to be a great year for them and us as fans. I can’t wait to hear more about what else they have in store for us.

Also, I do not believe the “skittish girl” version of what happened at that restaurant for nothing. With all the security Rob and Kristen have around them, I doubt seriously she got within 10 feet of Kristen. She even said security asked them to put away their cameras, which meant security was there. I think she took a normal dramaless sighting and created her own twist for her 15 seconds of fame. Just my opinion.

  9. Hi Super, Penny & Rhonda...hope you're all enjoying your day/beginning of the work week...

Why wouldn't Kristen be "skittish" for goodness sake?...wackos are threatening her, she's out in public, and a complete stranger approaches her directly...I hope she is being skittish (as in, cautious and wary!)

What do they expect...maybe she'll jump up and throw her arms around them?...IMO, there is something "off" with these people/fans, and the entitlement they seem to feel around "celebs". I think Kris handles herself with grace in these types of situations which we (thankfully)will never be able to imagine.

In regards to Rob playing and singing on camera in BD...I have no words...my brain has just shut down! :) *fangirling*

  10. Hey Roselanders, hope you are having an awesome day!

Love the post today, Rose. Really, really wish people would just give Kristen a fricking break instead of all the undeserved crap they give her. Let them live their lives happy and together.

Can't stop smiling about last night!!! Woo hoo!!!!! :D

  15. I'm strangely fascinated that these people don't seem to grasp that they may "think" they know celebs but you are,in fact,a complete stranger to them, they have no idea what your motivation is for approaching them. I'm the farthest thing from shy imaginable but I'm "skittish" when a complete stranger comes rushing over to me as if they know me.I have news for them - Kristen's not the one with the problem!!

I can't possibly comment further on the general gorgeousness of Rob and Kristen (or Mr Sturridge). Lots of good things ahead for all of them :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Really Rose? People need too distance themselves from you? I mean that is the most idiotic BS EVER. "People" take this shit WAY too personal. Though you stated a reason why I keep too myself in this fandom off twitter and only visit here.

Relax people, this is NOT the military not the CIA, not the Afghanistan war. People can have different opinions and like different things without the "I am not your friend anymore becuse we dont agree. BABY BS My 10 year old acts better then some of these girls!

And Who can blame Kristen for being skittish? WTF, shit I would be a paranoid mess in her shoes. Reading Teds board and the lunatic that stalks here. I am so glad she has the support of loved ones and Rob :)) that she does.

WFE YES, gorges Rob,beautiful Rob, there are NO words. I cant wait! :)))

  17. Hey Everyone!

Excellent post today Rose! Love the cartoon thing at the beginning, so damn funny!

So excited about Rob playing piano in BD, nothing sexier than a man passionate about music!
And VF photoshoot with Annie L? YES PLEASE! VF always seems to get the best shoots, really hope that is true. If so, it would be for WFE promo so we will most likely see the mag in march or april depending on the issue.

Hopefully we get some good Rob/Kris joint photoshoots for BD promo when that time comes. VF can work some magic maybe...

Haters gonna hate, that's never gonna change. Kristen could appear "skittish" or doing a happy ass jig on the bar and they would still find something to groan about, cuz she "dares" to be with Rob. People just need to get the fuck out of here with that nonsense. Ridiculousness!

Loving what the hypothetical crystal ball has to say about the BAFTAs, I'll have to remember to consult my magic 8 ball when I get home!

Loving all the pix used today as well!

Hope everyone is having a good day (for a Monday!)

  18. Rose,
Great post today. I share every single one of your sentiments.

I had read the rumors about threats of harm to Kristen. Skittish? No shit, Sherlock! I would be terrified. It makes me so angry that idiots(that profess to be fans)can cause this kind of turmoil in Kristen and Rob's life. How delusional can they be to think any kind of negative attention they give Kristen does nothing but make Rob angry? Insanity!

On a more positive note; Annie Leibovitz shooting Rob? I have no words. I would bet we will get a photo shoot of R&K closer to BD. Another Carter Burwell lullaby with Rob playing? I loved CB's music from Twilight. Listening to Bella's Lullaby and learning that Rob played it was the starting point for my intoxication with this young man. There are so many lovely things to look forward to with this couple. Why can't people just celebrate the creativity and love that these two allow us to see? Oh and...

    CONGRATULATIONS PACKERS!
    A great,exciting Super Bowl game.

  19. Wonderful post...I enjoyed the cartoon at the beginning.

This is not the first time I heard the whole skittish thing..I follow the TOBR facebook page where this was taken from and she later explained what she ment by that (if it did happen at all). She said that Kristen seemed worried or scared that she was going to take her picture or something b/c when she approached she kind of put her hands over her face and was really shy and nervous when the girl explained to Kristen what she wanted (her friends coat).

I agree why wouldn't she be skittish when people are constantly in your bubble? Plus as someone else mentioned she owns the fact that she is shy.

And lastly..awesome game Pack! But man did they have me nervous there for awhile!

Why would someone have too clarify a skittish comment? Yes I am sure Kristen was, but is that a bad thing? LOL I am sure her "fans" were stalking the crap out of this girl who said that until she clarified her observation. That shit, right there the questions, the stalking of others, Disgusts me....

  22. Hello and congratulations to all you Packer Fans..Go Pack Go!!

I was a bit worried for a second there Rose, I kept reading and reading waiting for the Green Bay shout out not seeing it, you kept the best for last. I admire your restraint, had my team won I'd have shouted it from the roof top until the neighbors called the cops lol...good thing they didn't go to the Super Bowl I guess. Congratulations on Title Town getting THEIR title back.

  23. Happy Monday everyone! Congrats to all you Packers fans! It was a really good game. Boring commercials to be honest. BEP half time show was so so.

Rob playing the piano in BD...be still my heart. I love to hear anyone play the piano. Put a great looking man at the keys and it makes it that much better!

Love any shoot either R/K do. But one together would be fantastic.

Does anyone remember George Clooney's girlfriend mentioning in an interview that Kristen shouldn't have death threats made against her just because she is dating Rob. If Elizabeth is aware of it then you bet Kristen's camp knows. Therefore she has every right to be somewhat skittish when it comes to people approaching her.

Honestly some of these fans that do approach creep me the eff out. Some of them are kinda emotionally unhinged. Now obviously most have no ugly agenda, they are just overwhelmed by meeting R/K. I find it really strange (people's behavior) so I can only imagine what R/K feel like.

Saw WTTR this weekend. Loved it. Kristen was fantastic. I thought the ending was well executed. More realistic I think. Don't want to say anything more for those who haven't seen it.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Catch up with you later. Have a meeting to go to.

  24. Hi Rose and fellow Roselanders!

It's a great Monday indeed! I absolutely refuse to let the haters kill my Superbowl buzz with their negativity and insanity! Sorry haternation, I got nothing but LOVE for my Green Bay Packers and for Rob and Kristen!

Perserverance won last night during the big game. This team was kicked at, discredited, ridiculed, and some even gave up all hope. Sound familiar? I see nothing but bright, promising futures for both Rob and Kristen. They know what they are doing. They know what's important to them, and they will prevail.

As a loyal and loving supporter of both, I'll be sitting here with a big smile and a icy cold brewski enjoying the show! Cheers!

But even facebook can get "crazy" with the commenting and debating....people of course were jumping all over her for saying that about Kristen and she was trying to defend herself. You can never say anything "right" in this fandom when it comes to Rob and Kristen. Sad.

Enjoy your Pilates. I need to do some Pilates, taebo, or something after all the junk I ate this weekend (lol). I made the Mexican Frittatas with linguine and yay I didn’t poison my family. They loved them, but they were a bit too spicy for me, so I indulged on extra cheesy pizza, breadsticks, and you get the not so healthy picture. I blame it on Superbowl Weekend ;).

  32. Hi, Rose!! love your post, SO many GREAT things to look foward. I'm SO excited with these news about Rob playing (and now possible singing) on BD...SQUEEEEEING at the top of my lungs!!

God help us...Rob in another photoshoot with VF??...YES, PLEASE!! :)

Who can blame Kristen for being skittish? complete strangers approche her whenever she out in public asking questions and asking for pics...they don't know these people, who knows what their agenda might be,ánd adding to the fact she gets threats from a bunch of lunatics (CRAZY BITCHES, Rob LOATHES you and you disgust him)...who tha hell can blame her?!?

I am liking very much your 'hypothetical crystal ball' about the BAFTAS...BIG SMILLE.

Hi, everyone!! Hope you are all having a great day.

I can't wait to see Rob playing the piano in BD...love it!

So much to look forward to. @Rhonda, I totally agree with you. Poor Kris, she never gets a break...people just expect too much from her. She is shy, and she certainly has a right to be skittish after all the threats she gets. I

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hi everyone!

Rose - awesome as usual. You always hit it out of the park.

I especially love it when you drop some F bombs. Sometimes it's the only appropriate word - especially when talking about some of the nonsense that exists out there.

I guess I don't understand what's so wrong with Kristen acting skittish? Why wouldn't she? What exactly do people expect of her?

If I ever was lucky enough to be in same place as Rob, Kristen, Tom or any (real) celebrity, I can honestly say I would probably leave them be. I might pass out from shock, excitement, or simply from seeing so much pretty, but I don't think I would even come within 10 feet of them or ask for an autograph, let alone a picture.

It's kind of rude in my opinion. It's one thing if you're at a fan event. But while eating dinner or while they are just trying to live their lives? I think it's plain rude. I wouldn't want someone bothering me if the tables were turned.

I live in upstate NY and around here celebrity encounters are few & far between. However, once my husband and I ended up eating dinner right next to Jerry Seinfeld and I'm proud to say that we played it cool. We didn't turn and stare. We didn't ask for an autograph.

I felt bad for him because literally every two seconds someone would come up to him and disrupt his meal. I was getting annoyed for him!

Now add physical threats to the mix. How should one act?

Now, speaking of celebrity encounters, I'm curious what everyone else's celebrity encounters are?

I got Jerry, John Mayer (eww, i know), Al Roker and Joan Rivers (does she count?)

  41. Hi Rose,

Congratulations to the Packers on their win. I was a little nervous towards the end, but they pulled it out.

It sounds like we have some great things to look forward to: Rob playing the piano in BD and, if rumour is correct, a new photoshoot. There is a God! And the new WFE poster - just wow.

I hope the amount of discussion around the fan encounter the other night is giving it more attention that it is due. I hope it was a small, insignificant blip on the night and that Rob and Kristen, and the rest of the cast had a pleasant dinner.

I hope everyone is well and isn't feeling the afteraffects of too much partying yesterday.

    Stay well.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Anyone here?

Which would you rather be a musician or a writer?

    ReplyDelete
  43. That new Rob WFE poster is stunning, I hope it will be available to buy. Really looking forward to Rob playing (maybe also singing) in BD. I've heard him sing and play guitar but never piano so that will be a mega treat. I loved Rob's last VF shoot, so many sexy poses including a great one at a piano. I can't wait to see what theme Annie L. does.

Hope we get at least 1 R/K only photoshoot for BD, it's been too long since we had one. I really hope charges will be brought against anyone making threats against Rob and/or Kris. That's not something to toy or joke around with. I don't know if people are serious when they say crap like that, but the message needs to be strong of no tolerance.

    Hi Barbara Fenwick :)

  46. MySoCalledLife-

    Oh! Great topic! Celeb encounters..

I have seen and met quote a lot of celebrities just from various events or concerts I've attended. Some I could care less about and just passed on by and others I was a fan of or had an interest in and I would stop and ask for an autograph.
There is absolutely a time & a place for that though. If they are in a public place in a work related capacity then I think its acceptable to approach & I think they expect that as well. But not when they are on their own personal time; I think that is rude.
And it is never, ever acceptable to freak out and scream and/or cry!
I can't imagine how terrifying that would be..like wtf are they supposed to do with an hysterical sobbing fan?!

I think I have mentioned this before, but I LOVE Michael Jackson. I always have & I always will. I literally was a 3yr old kid loving MJ back in the early 80s and that never, ever changed. I was devastated when he died, so tragic.
Anyways, I met Michael Jackson and got his autograph & pix a few years before he died. It was the most incredible fan experience I have ever had, and did I scream and freak out and cry?
Hell no! I thanked him and went on my merry little way. Then I got back to my hotel room and totally lost it and fangurled on my own!! Lol!
He was someone whose very presence could make people cry & faint, u have no idea how many times I witnessed that; even people who "hated" him reacted that way.
    It was unreal.

But they are still human and have feelings and ear drums!
I could never ever walk up and interrupt Rob & Kris when they are out to dinner or something. Or take a sly sneaky pic. Its just rude. I would be happy seeing them, take a nice little mental picture and be on my way.

I don't get how fans think screaming & acting nuts is going to go over favorably with a celebrity!
Just act cool and calm and the experience is so much better for both parties and then u can walk away with an awesome memory, not one that involved u getting removed by security! Lol!

Anyone else have some cool celeb encounters?

  55. Hi Rhonda, Annie, Penny, Groovie, Brenda and IB,

Interesting question Penny. When I was younger, I wanted to be a musician. I really enjoyed singing with other people; playing off other voices. But making a living at it was another matter. Later on, I started writing – just for my own enjoyment. I found it more difficult that I expected. I spend too much time editing and re-editing what I write. So I guess, I’ll have to leave the history making and influencing generations to other more eloquent individuals than myself.

  56. New tv is getting better. I am less dizzy watching it...maybe I am adjusting.

    A zoo? Could be fun!?!

Have you been to a premiere before?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Hey Freddie and Rhonda! *waving*

    How are you guys?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hi Freddie- I've told you this before but I think you're a lovely writer :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. Getting right to the nitty gritty, I just followed Super's advise and took my first dose of Triple Strength Osteo-Biflex. Here's hoping it helps:)

More snow is coming! Ugh!!! 1 to 3 inches over night 2 more inches in the morning. I love snowdays but this is getting ridiculous!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Rhonda - thanks, and so are you. I just find I have to work at it and sometimes I struggle to find the words to express what I really mean. It's a fight at times.

IB - I'm good. How are you? It sounds like you had another busy, but good weekend. Your daughter's team sounds like it is on a roll.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I've always looked on at premieres from across the street. :)

Depending on the actor/actress people wait in line hours before. It can get crazy.

    LOL...I'm getting such interesting verification words....Now it's "ables." :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Hey Annie - how are you? Anything up?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Annie- I can only imagine how crazy a premiere can get :)

IB- That stuff really does work..lol :)

Freddie- It's always hard for me to say exactly what I want at exactly the right time :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. @Freddie:
    Nothing much.
Just updating my I-Pod and being here at Roseland, with a slice of banana bread and a cup of tea. :)

    ReplyDelete
  65. Annie~What celebs have you seen? Anyone interesting?

Freddie~Hubby has her at practice tonight, 7:30-9:30. Although they did great this weekend, they were both local competitions. Because her team is from a very small gym, it is hard to compete against big gyms with many teams at bigger competitions. She is only 9 so she is emotionally young and is working on losing "gracefully" at the big comps:)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Rhonda - how was your Super Bowl party?

There were saying a statistic on the radio here that the day after the Super Bowl is one of least productive work days of the year, since so many people call in sick after partyng too hard. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Banana bread~yummy!

I hope the bi-flex works on my crunchy knees.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Freddie- It was a lot of fun!!

LOL..I was the only one who had the day off today and I drank the least..what's up with that?!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Annie - that sounds nice (the banana bread and tea). I'm sitting here scarfing down some timbits (small donuts from a chain of coffee shops called Tim Hortons) and tea. This is so totally off my diet. Oh well, I guess I have to re-start the diet again tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  70. @*IB*: A few.

I'm really bad at spotting celebrities but my best friend has what I call "celebrityradar." She's pregnant now so her "celebrityradar" is on hiatus. :)

    ReplyDelete
  71. Freddie~I'm dieting too. We will shall have to cheer each other on:)

I was sick from last night too but not from drinking, from eating all the junky food. My stomach was not happy with me.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Freddie- Don't feel bad..I made a chocolate cake today :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. Annie~You have me waiting with baited breath....WHO? Anybody good?

I once met Steve Martin...a long time ago!

    ReplyDelete
  74. @Freddie:
We have Tim Horton's here. A few blocks from where I live. They took over some Dunkin Donuts locations very early last year.

I have to tell you all that I did bake that banana bread myself (showing off some here) :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. IB- I forgot you talked about dieting before.
Good luck to both you and Freddie :)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Annie- The homemade stuff is always better..good job :)

    ReplyDelete
  77. IB - it still sounds like a great experience for your daughter. I made some of my best friends through team endeavours and in retrospect, I was really lucky to have had a focus (choir/band for me). I was with a good group of people and we were too busy to get into too much trouble.

Has all that snowshoeing through the snow drifts caused a problem for your knees LOL??? No seriously, did you hurt your knees?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Freddie - have to give you a shout-out for mentioning timbits and Tim Horton's. Sour cream glazed timmies are one of my favorite things.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Yeah, dieting sucks but I lost another 5 lbs so I am down 25lbs. I have eaten so much chicken I am sprouting feathers....just like the Natalie Portman in The Black Swan.....quack!

    ReplyDelete
  80. IB..It will work..give it 2 weeks...also make sure you take D3 2000-5000 iu every night and calcium, and fish oil but my husband, Mr. Doubting Thomas, ahem..was in a bad accident when he was 15 and has arthritis really advanced in his left leg got relief in 1 1/2 weeks and if he starts to forget to take it, he starts hurting again.

RHONDA...I did go to sleep but my son "texted" me to get him an orange(son has been throwing up all day) and then hubby just got home from work..they are in meetings coming up with a presentation trying to save SC ETV from the new governor Nikki Haley who wants to axe the network..unfortunately for her, it will prove to be way more difficult than she ever could have imagined because ETV maintains a complicated "broadband" network that makes the state almost 2Mill per year that no other entity can assume. heh..I guess we will see what happens

    ReplyDelete
  81. OK *IB* :)

    Adam Sandler.....Very, very nice.

I know many people don't like him very much now but Tom Cruise was just really, really lovely.

Alan Rickman (Professr Snape from Harry Potter)

Michael Caine (Not in New York though)

    ReplyDelete
  82. SoCalled~I am from Upstate NY too...where r u?

Freddie~Were you in marching band? If so, what did you do?

    ReplyDelete
  83. Annie - you can't turn around here without running into a Tim Horton's. They're everywhere - shopping malls, airports etc. We love our coffee and donuts here.

IB - yes, we'll have to cheer each other on. I was telling Rhonda, that I've fallen off the diet band wagon and have put some weight back on so I have to get serious again or I'm going to be really disappointed in myself. So any moral support would be great.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Super- I hope he gets feeling better :(

I've never heard of Tim Horton's but now I want one :)

    ReplyDelete
  85. Annie - was in Buffalo for a long time. Now I'm in the snow capital of the world (near Syracuse).
    130" of snow & counting...

    Where are you?

    ReplyDelete
  86. My frown got messed up..lol

Freddie and IB- I will support you too :)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Hey y'all:). You guys are killing me with he donuts & the cake & the banana bread!...lol. It all sounds so good! Hubby & I have been counting calories since September & he decided we deserved a cheat day Saturday, so we both picked us out a piece of cake from Whole Foods. It was comical to me because we never shop there & the first time we do, the only thing we buy is cake...lol! It was good though, & we enjoyed every crumb. We've been using the 'lose it' app on our iPhones & it's made it really easy to follow.

    ReplyDelete
  88. @MySocalledlife:
Hi :) I'm in NYC but it was *IB who asked the original question.

So far NYC has had 55 inches with another one to two inches tomorrow followed by rain.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I apologize in advance for any spelling errors...I'm on my phone.

    ReplyDelete
  90. IB - way to go. I'm impressed. You will be my inspiration.

With respect to band, we didn't have a marching band just a concert band. I played clarinet (which is probably why I hate the clarinet now). Our music director made it a rule that if you wanted to sing in the choir, you had to play in the band and vice versa. I'm pretty sure it was his way of getting guys to sing in the choir, because the guys thought it was cool to play an instrument, but not so much singing in the choir. We had a really great dedicated music teacher. He was an incredible influence on my life.

MySoCalled - I just had three glazed sour cream timmies. They were yummy....

Hey Super and Jentoo - how are you?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Sorry Annie - I noticed my mistake too late. I think I'm still recovering from the busy weekend. ;)

I have friends in NYC and they are taking all the snow in stride, but won't give-up their heels. Fashion over function you know!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Hi Jentoo! Long time no see! I have never heard of the "lose it" app. How does it work?

SoCalled~I am near Albany...you are very west from me:)

Freddie~We will have to stick togetgher on this diet thing:)

Annie~Homemade banana bread is my favorite! I especially enjoy it with chocolate chips in it.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Ladies-- I've enjoyed chatting with you but I have to call it a night. Work will be coming early in the morning.

    Goodnight All :)

    ReplyDelete
  94. MY SO CALLED...Through my husbands job we have met Yanni, a new age composer who used to date Linda Evans from Dynasty fame and Dennis deYoung from the group STYX...he even gave my husband a "shout out" at one of his concerts. My husband helped him with a video project so they communicated on and off for about 6 months. My husband has met Neil deGrasse Tyson as astronomer at the New York Museum of Natural History and is the host of Nova Science Now on PBS and various people in the news media...thats about all I can think of.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Sweet dreams, Rhonda, my friend. Have a great day tomorrow!

Freddie~Along the lines of bands, have you heard of drum corps?

    Hey there Super!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Jentoo - a cheat once in a while isn't bad. It sounds like you and your husband have done quite well. How are your Annie and Fritz doing?

IB - it's a deal on sticking together on the diet.

Rhonda - moral support is always welcome. Glad you had a good time at your party. You were very responsible considering you didn't have to get up this morning LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Hi back to everyone:)

    I'm good, thanks for asking:)

IB...that app is great! You put in your info...age,sex, weight, & how much you want to lose per week up to 2 lbs per week. It calculates how many calories you need to lose that much. Every time you eat, you record what you ate & it automatically subtracts it from your daily allotment. It's very helpful!

    ReplyDelete
  98. IB..I cant believe you are getting more snow...we may get a "wintry mix"n Thursday!

RHONDA..Have a good day tomorrow at work

    JENTOO..Hello

ANNIE..I made oatmeal on Sunday am..I thought about you

    ReplyDelete
  99. @MySoCalledLife:
I live in my waterproof winter boots! :)

From your moniker...Were you a fan of the show? It was one of the best shows on television!

    Hi Super! :)

    ReplyDelete
  100. IB - no, I'm not familiar with drum corps. We didn't have anything like that at my school. Is it solely percussion (as its name suggests)?? Do they start in elementary school, or only in high school?

    ReplyDelete
  101. Hi Super:)

Freddie...Annie & Fritz are fine...but really stinky right now & in need of a good grooming! I'll have to take care of that now that we may have a few sunny days.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Hi jentoo :)
    Are Annie and Fritz pets?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Groovie - As far as celeb encounters go, I don't think it gets any bigger than MJ. Especially considering how big a fan you are. And, look, you didn't scream or cry in hysterics! Why can't people keep it together?! Nicely done :)

Super - How exciting that your husband got to work with some big names. My husband is a big Styx fan. He would be jealous.

IB - Yes, we're a couple hours west of you. My hubby is a Siena grad so he's very fond of Albany. If it were up to him, our kids (both still in diapers) would be Saints.

    ReplyDelete
  104. IB...we had an all female drum & bugle corps at my highschool in addition to the marching band. It was weird though....they didn't even wear the school colors on their uniforms, though they did perform at all the games. They were pretty cool.

    ReplyDelete
  105. jentoo~That app sounds awesome...it is great that it is working for you and hubby:)

Freddie~A drum corps is like a marching band but with only brass horns and drums. There is also a color guard that uses flags and dance to interpret the music.

I am procrastinating...I have a stack of school papers to correct but I don't want to:(

    ReplyDelete
  106. @Annie - Yes! Loved that show. It was so underrated and I'm sad that it's not in syndication (at least that I know of).

I live in my snow boots too. They are pretty fugly, but I gave up on trying to fashionable in the middle of winter a long time ago.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Jentoo - my friend has seven dogs - one of them being a Newfoundlander. She lives on a 10 acre lot with lots of wooded areas, so the dogs are always getting into something. She pays a small fortune in grooming fees.

    ReplyDelete
  108. SoCalled~That is funny, I am 8 miles from Siena! I went to the College of Saint Rose, in Albany. I am sure your hubby has heard of it.

    ReplyDelete
  109. MYSOCALLED...I would have LOVED meeting MJ..I have the This Is It DVD and I LOVE it...

    Good Night Everybody

    ReplyDelete
  110. Annie...yes, Annie is actuall short for anniversary as I got her 10 years ago on our 10th anniversary. She's a red toy poodle, & Fritz is a mini schnauzer, who happens to not be so 'mini'..lol.

I also have 3 sons. Annie was supposed to be my girl, but she prefers the males in the house. Go figure!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Annie and MySoCalled - I'm still objecting to the notion of winter, so I'm still walking around in my open-toed sandals (and running shoes in place of boots). Been up to my ankles in snow on a couple of occasions. LOL.

Super - how are you? Did you have fun dancing around the house the other night?

    ReplyDelete
  112. IB - LOL! I just asked him and his response was "Yeah, I think that's a chick school" (so mature, right?!)

On that note, I'm calling it a night.

    Sweet dreams Roselanders...

    ReplyDelete
  113. IB sorry I meant to say KENZZ but I will email you soon Im sure!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Night MySoCalled - nice chatting with you.

    ReplyDelete
  115. SoCalled~Yes, it was a chick school~hee hee!

Good night all! I'm out too.

    ReplyDelete
  116. I better call it a night as well ladies. Hope you all have a good evening.

    ReplyDelete
  117. My celebrity encounters are not that interesting, but I have met George Strait, Bob Denver (the guy who played Giligan...I know you're jealous) and President and Laura Bush, but very briefly and only because their hometown is where I am from and they made a stop there the day President Obama was sworn in as they returned to Texas and I attended with the in-laws.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Goodnight Freddie, *IB* and MySoCalledLife. Sleep well! :)

I'm saying goodnight as well Jentoo and Super.
    Goodnight Roseland. Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Hello Kami:)

I'm saying goodnight and you're now coming on. I hope all is well. :)
    Goodnight!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Hey Kami:)

Hubby & I stood behind Dakota in line at the pretzel place in the mall just before Christmas. We didn't approach her, though. Didn't want to draw attention to her. I also saw Darius Rucker at the mall in Charleston, SC, back when he was still Hootie. He was getting a corndog...lol. Apparently famous peeps like to eat too..lol! Who knew?!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Alrighty then...I'm off to bed too. Goodnight everyone....& hello to DK & the late night ladies...have a fun night:)

    Maxwell’s Silver Hammer

    Beatles:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfnpZhJ8exQ

    Joan was quizzical, studied metaphysical
    Science in the home
Late nights all alone with a test-tube
    Ohh-oh-oh-oh...

    Maxwell Edison majoring in medicine
    Calls her on the phone
“Can I take you out to the pictures
    Joa-oa-oa-oan?”
But as she’s getting ready to go
A knock comes on the door...

    Bang, bang, Maxwell’s silver hammer
    Came down upon her head
    Bang, bang, Maxwell’s silver hammer
Made sure that she was dead

Back in school again Maxwell plays the fool again
    Teacher gets annoyed
Wishing to avoid an unpleasant sce-e-e-ene

She tells Max to stay when the class has gone away
    So he waits behind
Writing 50 times “I must not be so-o-o-oo...”
But when she turns her back on the boy
    He creeps up from behind

    Bang, bang, Maxwell’s silver hammer
    Came down upon her head
    Bang, bang, Maxwell’s silver hammer
Made sure that she was dead

B.C. Thirty-One said “we caught a dirty one”
    Maxwell stands alone
    Painting testimonial pictures ohh-oh-oh-oh
Rose and Valerie screaming from the gallery

Say he must go free (Maxwell must go free)
The judge does not agree and he tells them so-o-o-oo
But as the words are leaving his lips
    A noise comes from behind

    Bang, bang, Maxwell’s silver hammer
    Came down upon his head
    Bang, Bang, Maxwell’s silver hammer
Made sure that he was dead

    Mean Mr. Mustard

    Beatles (Rare Version):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4ihF1JF_Tw

Mean Mister Mustard sleeps in the park
Shaves in the dark trying to save paper

Sleeps in a hole in the road
Saving up to buy some clothes

Keeps a ten-bob note up his nose
    Such a mean old man
    Such a mean old man

His sister Pam works in a shop
    She never stops, she’s a go-getter

She takes him out to look at the queen
Only place that he’s ever been
    Always shouts out something obscene

    Such a dirty old man

    My Michelle.

    Michelle, ma belle.
Sont les mots qui vont tres bien ensemble,
    Tres bien ensemble.

I love you, I love you, I love you.
That’s all I want to say.

I will say the only words I know that
    You’ll understand.

I need you, I need you, I need you.

Born a poor young country boy--Mother Nature’s son
All day long I’m sitting singing songs for everyone.

Sit beside a mountain stream--see her waters rise
Listen to the pretty sound of music as she flies.

Find me in my field of grass--Mother Nature’s son
Swaying daisies sing a lazy song beneath the sun.

And from above you sent us love

    And now she’s mine.
    I think you’re fine
Cause we love you, Mr. Moonlight

Mr. Moonlight, come again please Here I am on my knees
    Begging if you please

And the nights you don’t come my way.
I’ll pray and pray more each day

Cause we love you, Mr. Moonlight
    Mr. Moonlight

    Thank you/xrockxxandxxrollerxx

    This happened once before,
When I came to your door,
    No reply.

    They said it wasn’t you,
But I saw you peep through your window,
I saw the light, I saw the light,
I know that you saw me,
‘cos I looked up to see your face.

    I tried to telephone,
They said you were not home,
    That’s a lie,
‘cause I know where you’ve been,

I saw you walk in your door,
I nearly died, I nearly died,
‘cause you walked hand in hand
With another man in my place.

If I were you I’d realize that I
Love you more than any other guy,
And I’ll forgive the lies that I
Heard before when you gave me no reply.

    I’ve tried to telephone,
They said you were not home,
    That’s a lie,
‘cause I know where you’ve been,

I saw you walk in your door,

  134. REPOST-NEED A HOT TODDY NOW!

    For Everyone Who Loves This:

    # 131

    Norwegian Wood
    (This Bird Has Flown)

    Beatles:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGufQk9QOdM

I once had a girl, or should I say, she once had me...
She showed me her room, isn’t it good, norwegian wood?

She asked me to stay and she told me to sit anywhere,
So I looked around and I noticed there wasn’t a chair.

I sat on a rug, biding my time, drinking her wine.
We talked until two and then she said, “It’s time for bed”

She told me she worked in the morning and started to laugh.
I told her I didn’t and crawled off to sleep in the bath

And when I awoke, I was alone, this bird had flown
So I lit a fire, isn’t it good, norwegian wood.

    Thank you/fucktown

  135. Woke up this morning, my head was so bad
It was the worst hangover that I ever had
What happened to me last night
That girl of mine, she loved me so right
She loved me so long, and she loved me so hard
I finally passed out in her front yard
It wasn't wine, I had too much of
It was a double shot of my baby's love

Double shot of my baby's love yeah, yeah, yeah
Double shot of my baby's love yeah, yeah yeah
A potion that I had too much of
It was a double shot of my baby's love

    Hey Little Mama,

I have been singing this all day....
I see you are posting songs, so I must be in the right place...

  136. This is classic Rose and a classic post, and is precisely what got me sucked into your blog. Distance myself...NEVER!

And, those pics...you picked some of my faves, but I did audibly gasp when I saw the WFE movie poster. I thought I loved Twilight Edward...until...WFE's Jacob. Oh, my!

  137. Someone asked me what's with the hot toddies?

Well, some little gremlins that inhabited me a couple of weeks ago, by lodging in my lungs, and making me force them out by deep, noisy coughing, are again my guests.

Thus, for my health, and happiness, hot toddies, such as those with hot water, whiskey and lemon, are called for every night, after the Beatles and I have had our session.

Tonight, just as I thought about having one, I messed up a song title, so I had to delete and repost.

Silly how thoughts can take over, what our fingers are typing. And thoughts have power, and positive thoughts are positively powerful, so I believe.

It's break time, and that means toddy time, and if the Night Owls arrive, I'll see them very soon.

For certain, you are in the right place in Queen Rose's Land.

Catchy song lyrics, that you're singing all day, oh, yeah!

Be right back, no can wait.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Are you getting all comfy with your hot toddie?

    How's the throat?

word ver...unkie---too much unkie this weekend, will share when you feel better.

    ReplyDelete
  140. @Bren
The throat is fine, I'm working on lowering my voice to basso profundo, via hacking coughs, and it's working very well.

I want to hear about unkie R!

How are you feeling, Ms. Chipper?

    Oh, and where's Gwen?

    ReplyDelete
  141. @Bren
Can you believe, that my sister told me she thought that I was purposely making my voice sound low like a man, to be funny?

I took great exception to that remark and used very strong, manly language to tell her off, damn straight I did.

    ReplyDelete
  142. That is so funny....

She should be thrilled that she has a sister that can now sing tenor....or possibly bass.

  143. For My Big Sister Who Is Mean To Me

    Elvis Presley:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnPGt_Cf1z4

    Little sister, don't you
    Little sister, don't you
Little sister, don't you kiss me once or twice
Then say it's very nice and then you run
Little sister, don't you do what your big sister done

Well, I dated your big sister
And I took her to the show
    I went for some candy
    Along came Jim Dandy
And they snuck right out the door
    Little sister, don't you
    Little sister, don't you
Little sister, don't you kiss me once or twice
Then say it's very nice and then you run
Little sister, don't you do what your big sister done

Every time I see your sister
    Well she's got somebody new
    She's mean and she's evil
    Like that old Boll Weevil
Guess I'll try my luck with you

    Little sister, don't you
    Little sister, don't you
Little sister, don't you kiss me once or twice
Then say it's very nice and then you run
Little sister, don't you do what your big sister done

Well, I used to pull your pigtails
    And pinch your turned-up nose
    But you been a growin'
    And baby, it's been showin'
From your head down to your toes
    Little sister, don't you
    Little sister, don't you
Little sister, don't you kiss me once or twice
Then say it's very nice and then you run
Little sister, don't you do what your big sister done

Little sister, don't you do, what your big sister done
Little sister, don't you do, what your big sister done

  145. I can't hang long tonight, but next week I'll be free at last.

A bird flew in from San Francisco, and surprised me with a message, that unfortunately will have to wait as well....

What are you doing to make yourself well?, besides hot toddies, that you enjoy way too much...

    ReplyDelete
  146. @Bren
Just found out that I have 30,000 duplicate files on my computer.

So, I asked the IT son what to do and he said, go ahead and delete them but leave the originals.

Do you know how long it takes to delete that many files, or really, can I trust myself with that task?

Maybe you know how to do it, do you?

Roselanders, help a sister out, give me some advice. Be nice, to Dreamer, the FGM. Who loves you, baby?

Here's the list of things I do for getting well:

    Hot toddies after the Beatles
    Lots of Vitamin C & D
    Herbs galore, Chinese system type
Herbal whole food shakes (23 fruits and veggies)
    Spicy foods like wasabi, ginger
Cloves and cloves of chopped garlic rubbed all over (just kidding), swallowed with water
    Warm clothes/socks
    Vick's Vapor Rub
    Magnesium
    Lip locks (no takers, sigh)

What a bore, for there is more and I'll stop here. Oh, I forgot, some beer for the blood. Wine for the spine.

    ReplyDelete
  149. I'm sure someone at Roseland knows, but not me, I just know how to trash everything....I never save anything...

    ReplyDelete
  150. @Bren
I've dabbled before and B asked me how the hell I managed to get into the system like I did, without knowing how to do it?

Why, I claimed inspiration and creativity, and he responded, dumb and dumber, can you believe that?

He is my offspring, so take that son B. D & D is hereditary.

  151. I get it, you are going to try to keep me laughing tonight, so I will not be able to sleep, that way I will stay all perky, and forget about going to work...something Gwen should be doing....do you hear me G?

    ReplyDelete
  152. @Bren
No, no laughing for you, go to bed and be unperky, that's the ticket.

I can read something and do so, too.

Gwen, isn't joining us tonight, the bathroom's broken at work! LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I have a question, have you started reading Cosmopolis, how do you like it?

    ReplyDelete
  154. @Bren
Finished Cosmopolis. It will make a fascinating movie and Rob will pull it off perfectly, IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  155. The bathroom broken, that is hilarious...

  156. @Bren
Brilliant book, deep, about finding the meanings of existence, life, love, hatred, too much and too little, at the same time, IMO.

(Sorry, no more info. Not going to spoil it for anyone who'll read it)

  157. @Bren
A small piece of strawberry whipped cream cake is needed for my happiness and healing, too.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I wasn't going to ask, cuz I know you won't devulge anymore info to me....I'll have to read it myself....although I'm only halfway through BD on the reread...the movie might be out b4 I finish it.(again)

  159. Lady,

    ReplyDelete
  161. @Bren

Skip through the re-reading of BD, like I have all 5 times. The movie will have new stuff anyway.

Too Much, Too Little, Too Late

    Johnny Mathis & Patti Austin:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFWQ3TiT4bE&feature=related

Yes, it's over, call it a day
Sorry that it had to end this way
    No reason to pretend
We knew it had to end some day, this way

Guess it's over, the kids are gone
What's the use of tryin' to hang on
    Somewhere we lost the key
So little left for you and me and it's clear to see

Too much, too little, too late to lie again with you
Too much, too little, too late to try again with you
We're in the middle of ending something that we knew

    It's over
    Oh, it was over

Too much, too little, too late to ever try again
Too much, too little, too late, let's end it being friends
Too much, too little, too late, we knew it had to end

Guess it's over, the chips are down (whoa)
Nearly all our bridges tumbled down

Whatever chance we try, let's face it why deny
    It's over (It's over)
    It's over

    Thank you/VideosTioSam

    Tee hee.

  168. Well, I've done enough for one early morning on Roseland, IMO.

Nothing else is needed of the FGM either, IMO.

    It's all in my opinion...

Watch me take off for a magical mystery tour of the cosmos!

    ^--^

  169. DK,Gwen and Bren,

It looks like I missed all three of you. Unless you are still out and about DK? Anyway, I'm sure we will meet up one of these nights.

Good morning Roseland, hope everyone has a happy, productive day or a happy, lazy one if you prefer!

  170. Have a beautiful Tuesday everyone!

A belated congratulations and whoop, whoop of happiness for Rose on the win for the Packers.

Life is good. Hugs to all of you,
wonderful Roselanders, Rose, Smitty, Gruff and Syd.
Will hopefully have a bit of free time tonight to peek back in.

    ReplyDelete
  171. DK,

Finally you got to Norwegian Wood.
I remember listening to this when I was very young, thinking I was so grown up listening to a song like that.

    Good morning to Roseland!

    ReplyDelete
  172. Hi Rose,

btw: people still remember me as Opy and that's fine.

Congrats on the Packers. IMO, A. Rogers deserves as much if not more respect than Favre now. Especially when you consider how the latter ended his career.

Count me not among those who would distance from you. I agree that those who berate Kristen with lies & hate daily should be called out. I have done it myself and it's there for the record. I can't do it everyday because as I have said before it puts me in bad mood. It's been awhile and I may sharpen my tongue again soon. In the past it's happened when I am PO'd about something Hatestein did.

I am happy, even grateful, that you defend Kristen on a daily basis.

    Take Care

  173. GOOD MORNING ROSELAND...Another day in Paradise...let's rock! DK...I'm going to get started on that book this week...feel better soon FGM!

    ReplyDelete
  174. Super, I only comment occasionally, but wanted to let you know I read your suggestions for knees and avoiding surgery! I began your regimin with my husband last week. He had knee surgery three years ago, and honestly, his knee has been worse! I'll let you know if we see a change. I know it takes a while.

He teases me that I am poisoning him with all the pills and tablets! lol

That's one of the great things about Roseland! The good advice one can find here on all sorts of things.

    Again, many thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  175. Just dropping in to wish everyone a great day! Sending happy vibes to all.

DK- I'm sure you will be in the land of Nod for awhile but wanted to say I'm finally glad you got to the "L's" on the Beatles countdown.

Lucy in the sky with Diamonds is a perpetual favorite of mine.

If anyone ever saw "I am Sam" with Sean Penn, Michelle P., and Dakota Fanning Dakota's character is named Lucy after that song.

If you haven't seen the movie, rent it. You will be moved to tears but it was fantastic.

    Well off to work...

    ReplyDelete
  176. SARAJJW...I will be interested to know if it helps him...Have a good day!

  177. Good morning all:)

Just sitting here in a waiting room while my mom gets a procedure done. Wonder how many times this medical info show will cycle through on the tv before I've memorized all the words?

Hope y'all have a great Tuesday!
