Rob and Kristen- The Way It Should Be

Is it really Kristen? It's been so long...

Dear Kristen,
Please.
Don't.
Under any circumstances.
Let us wait so long to see your beautiful face again.
Truly.

I get that you prefer to be all ninja.
And I'm behind you 99.9% of the time
But when days become weeks...
A little peek is good...
And it's not THAT painful... is it?

And speaking of painful
what's with the thumb, dear girl?
Did you punch someone in the face?
(Oh the thoughts that go through my mind)
Or is being a Vampire harder than you thought?
I hope it doesn't hurt too much...
and you feel better fast.

Oh and one more thing...
How do you manage to look gorgeous
with a hoodie and sunglasses?
Impressive.
I guess for some people it doesn't matter what they wear
Just as long as you are there.

Good to see you are wearing the necklace again...
Did you have to get it fixed?
I bet Rob is happy, too...
Considering the meaning behind it.
Say hello to Robert!
And enjoy your time together in L.A.!

Take care.
Be safe.
♥♥
JFC

Dear Robert,
If looks could kill...
I would be lying on the floor.
Long ago.
I wouldn't have made it past 2008.
How does someone so beautiful...
So gorgeous...
exist in real life?
How?
I'm sure you must have imperfections... somewhere.
But where?
I can't see them.
Hair.
Perfection.
Face.
Perfection.
Body.
Perfection.
Personality.
Perfection.

Everything I can see.
Everything I can hear.
Perfection.

Thank You for your perfection.
Thank you for not realizing
How perfect you are.
I adore you.
Perfectly.

Say Hello to Kristen!
And take good care of her!
Have fun in L.A.

Take care.
Be Safe.
♥♥

Dear Tom,
Um.
What's with the blue eyes?
And the pink... plump... lips?
And.
That scruff.
And that floppy hair.
WTF Tom?
Yeah, I know you wear that silly baseball hat...
And you are fond of 'jumpers'
that belong to Robert
or have ducks and flowers on them...
And I know you seem to have a penchant for red plaid...
but sheesh.
Do you have to make my stomach flip/flop
when I see a picture of you?
I love you, Tom Sturridge.
I do.
Once I heard you speak...
I was a goner.
Boom.
Zing.
TO THE MOON!

Thank you for being such a good friend to
Robert and Kristen.
No one could ask for a better friend.
And thanks for always wearing interesting clothes.
You are the king of Hobo Chic.
The master.
I bow down to your originality.

Good luck with your play.
I wish I could come to London to watch you on stage...
But alas...
For now I will have to keep Pirate Radio
on a continuous loop.

Take care.
Be safe.
♥♥
This post is brought to you by the letter *W*
W for wishful thinking.

W for
wondering what Rob and Kristen are doing right now.
Together.
Because you know they are.
Heh.

Bye for now
♥♥♥
This Never Happened Before
Paul McCartney

I'm very sure, this never happened to me before
I met you and now I'm sure
This never happened before

Now I see, this is the way it's supposed to be

I met you and now I see
This is the way it should be

This is the way it should be, for lovers

They shouldn't go it alone
It's not so good when you're on your own

So come to me, now we can be what we want to be

I love you and now I see
This is the way it should be
This is the way it should be

  3. Rose, thank you so much for this wonderful post today, and well, everyday. You've got me smiling. I need to smile. Got a lot of rough stuff going on in my life right now-- especially the recent, sudden death of my 27 year old brother. Hearing that Rob and Kristen are happy and TOGETHER takes some of my pain away, just simply because I'm tired of dealing with all the bad news of reality, so I look forward to hearing the news of two young lovers in a lasting relationship in this crazy world-- who are absolutely crazy for each other :) Again, thank you so much!!!

  5. Hi everyone,

I hope you are all having a good Saturday.

I was sorry to hear of Kristen's injury. I hope her hand isn't causing her any discomfort and will be on the mend quickly. I hope she's also getting a helping hand and some tender loving care from a handsome brit.

Olivia - lovely post from this morning. I believe in the magic too.

Kay - I really loved your "serious" post from yesterday. Roseland has allowed people to form some wonderful friendships.

I hope everyone has a fun, relaxing, restful weekend (or whatever you want it to be). Take care all.

  13. I never thought about British actors until Rob came along, well, maybe, Hugh Grant but the rash of British actors that we have been given lately blows my mind, Rob, Tom, Andrew, Henry, to name a few and they all are handsome, sexy, tall and with gorgeous skin. I like the way they grow them in England.

  15. Hi everyone!

    Cute post today!

Even though I do loathe paparazzi, it was nice to see Kristen yesterday. Obviously no one knows for sure yet what happened to her hand, but whatever it is, hopefully it heals quickly and she isn't in too much pain.
Rob will take good care of her, I'm sure.

Love that WFE set pic of Rob, he is a nice, sweet guy; but that look tells me he would have no problem taking care of business if he had to!

Great song choice as well, can never go wrong with McCartney!

    Have a great saturday!
I'm enjoying mine, after 2pm I'm still in bed and its beautiful & rainy out! Gonna go enjoy it, sit on my balcony & read for awhile.

  16. Rose,

Thanks for this post, so sweet. Kristen looks beautiful. I hope her injury is minor and already on the mend.

Will we survive seeing Rob in WFE? I'm beginning to doubt it :)

Olivia- You always express your thoughts in such a beautiful way. I agree, if there is such a thing as soul mates, I believe Rob and Kris have found it :)

Jenny- So sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care :)

Yay! The census was way down at work today and it was my turn to leave early...WooHoo!!

Hope everyone has enjoyed the day :)

  24. Rose...this was the sweetest post! What's meant to be, will be, and obviously it was meant to be!

Liza, I agree with Dottie about you attending Tom's play...refer to above..."what's meant to be will be!"

Jenny & angelica, I can't express my sorrow for your loss...I'm sure, whether recent or in the past, the loss runs deep...

Smitty & Gruff...take care of each other... :)

  25. Thank you Rose for another lovely post, great pics and Paul's song was perfect.

Jenny and Angelica, I am so sorry for the loss that you each have suffered.
A big hug for both of you.

Liza, I cast a double "yes" vote for attending Tom's play. Please be our eyes and ears and give us back a full report. You can also be the official ambassador for Roseland and deliver a hug in person from all of us. Please feel free to follow up with a delivery of something of your own personal choice!

For a quiet evening at home, this is for dear Rob and Kristen; may they enjoy this little giftie of a magical song. It is from a sweet little movie that I absolutely love. Of course, Johnny, in the movie, and Bryan, in the vid both qualify as a most definite "descanso para los ojos".

  30. So what's the story behind the necklace? Weird how I know about her ring but not her necklace. Haha

  31. Apparently, I am being very lazy today and wasn't up with my Fairy Godmother and Musical Director schticks today.

Real life does drag me away from my fun, at times, as it does us all.

But I am thinking about the things we share here, that have real meaning, and have chosen a few songs, I'd like to share in these wee smalls.

    Take heart, everyone...

Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall

Into each life some rain must fall
But too much is falling in mine
Into each heart some tears must fall
But some day the sun will shine

Some folks can lose the blues in their hearts
But when I think of you another shower starts
Into each life some rain must fall
But too much is falling in mine

Into each life some rain must fall
But too much, too much is falling in mine
Into each heart some tears must fall
But some day the sun will shine

Some folks can lose the blues in their hearts
But when I think of you another shower starts
Into each life some rain must fall
But too much is falling in mine

Into each and every life some rain has got to fall
But too much of that stuff is falling into mine
And into each heart some tears got to fall
And I know that someday that sun is bound to shine

Some folks can lose the blues in their hearts
But when I think of you another shower starts
Into each life some rain must fall
But too much is falling in mine

Our paths may never cross again
Maybe my heart will never mend
But I'm glad for all the good times
Cause you've brought me so much sunshine
And love was the best it's ever been

I wouldn't have missed it for the world
Wouldn't have missed loving you girl
You've made my whole life worth while, with your smile

    I wouldn't trade one memory
Cause you mean too much to me
Even though I lost you girl
I wouldn't have missed it for the world

They say that all good things must end
Loves comes and goes just like the wind
You've got your dreams to follow
But if I had the chance tomorrow
You know I'd do it all again

I wouldn't have missed it for the world
Wouldn't have missed loving you girl
You've made my whole life worth while, with your smile

    I wouldn't trade one memory

  35. Before I leave for celestial spaces; I thought I'd tell the Friendly Tap story.

If I've already told it here before, then I'll claim the excuse of a terrible memory, like dear Rob did, and say as he has, that the only thing I remember, is that I will forget! (Thanks, Rob, love that.)

You may recall that a few weeks ago, I went out with my bff V, to celebrate her actual and my ongoing birthday month.

We ended up at a divey bar called the Friendly Tap, where people really were just that, friendly.

It's an old bar, that has great bands on weekends, but we got there too late to hear any.

We sat in the back and began a jolly convo with a nice couple, who was even more jolly. Was it the beer, was it the shots, who cared?

About an hour to close, a kindly gent far down the way (L) bought us some birthday cheer, and then came over to talk a while.

Soon, his friend (N) joined us and for some time we were busy laughing, singing, dancing, and finally hugging each other, for the sheer joy of meeting each other. Remember, it's friendly, friendly, friendly at this tap.

V and I wanted some famous Chicago hot dogs as a finale for the night, so we said we'd be leaving to catch the last run at Gene and Jude's (#1 hot dog in the U.S. per Serious Eats).

As soon as we expressed this desire, to our two lovely new male friends, one of them asked what we liked on our hot dogs, and after we told him, he left.

It seems that he was going to get those hot dogs for all of us! Wow, what a guy, and that's why we love Chicago guys. They are spontaneous and generous like that.

Meanwhile, the three of us continued to carouse and have a merry time doing so.

When N returned, quite a bit later than he should have-he had bags of McDonald's filled with all types of burgers and fries.

He told us he had gone to 2 hot dog places and they were closed (it was after all 230am), so he got the next best thing. Chivalry is alive and well at the Friendly Tap.

Of course, you know we gobbled everything up and laughed some more. It occurred to me that we all could get some breakfast and that made everyone think I'd gone starkers, the sillies. I meant let's party on.

Oh, well, instead, we were escorted to our car, while insisting on driving L home, (all 200 feet away) and we all promised to meet again soon.

What a rare time we had, celebrating getting older, by not being duller. Putting the pedal to the metal, still moves our engines full steam ahead.

    Lessons learned?

Be friendly and find a friendly tap.

Be spontaneous and generous, and next time, the hot dogs/hamburgers are on us.

Pay it forward, don't look backwards.

The past is the past (goodbye).
    Living now is a blast.

    Goodnight from Dreamer.

  42. Helloooo?? It sure is quiet in Roseland!

We are getting buried in more snow today, so I am thinking about summer...this is a warm weather family favorite:

    DIXIE CAVIAR

4 Cups frozen or 2-15 oz cans black-eyed peas

1-16 oz can white hominy, drained and chopped

    2 medium tomatoes, chopped

    1 Cup - Italian dressing

    1/2 Cup green pepper, chopped

    4 green onions, sliced

1 or 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped

1 or 2 cloves garlic, minced

1/3 Cup fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped

If using frozen peas, cook according to package directions and drain. If using canned peas, rinse and drain. In a large bowl, combine drained peas, hominy, tomatoes, salad dressing, green pepper, onion, green onions, jalapeno peppers and garlic. Cover and chill for 1 to 2 days.

Drain mixture, reserving liquid. Partially chop in food processor by pulsing twice. Do not puree. Add back enough of the liquid to make a nice dipping consistency. Top with sour cream or plain yogurt and cilantro or parsley, if desired. Serve with corn chips or crackers.

Hope everyone is having a nice, relaxing Sunday as an end to a fabulous weekend. :)

I hope all are havin a 'smashing' weekend.....
It was great to see Kristen wearing that long lost necklace of hers.....I'm sure it means the world to her.....She should wear it any chance she has.....JS
I do hope she isn't in too much pain.....and truly hope and wish her a speedy recovery.....

DK those latter song choices of yours were sincerely beautiful....Those lyrics have a life of their own.....very sweet to say and think what you have.
@ Rhonda, donna, wildhart, lacey8.....I had no idea ......a belated thank you
    @ Birdie Hello.....
@ Angelica.....I hope you don't have to do all that ironing by yourself......If you think ironing for 3 is bad.....try another 2 more people added to that....;)Which reminds me...My laundry resemble a 'brothel' [not that I’ve been in one]
If I've forgotten anyone....please forgive me....I’m not meaning too....
Have a great rest of your weekend y’all.....God Bless...Hope to hear from ya soon...

  46. @Super
So glad I've graduated and need not care, and that my kids are grown! Otherwise, the changes in school schedules can really muck up life as a parent, especially if both are working.

It's been raining here all day and I find it hard to get motivated because coffee and a good movie would be lovely.

Why, I'm over the rainbow with contentment today.

What's the buzz? Tell me what's happening with you!

    ReplyDelete
  47. You really have a talent for these posts, Rose, do you know that? You're amazing. You're just so real. I appreciate that.

Anyways, I hope everyone had a good weekend. I've been stuck in Miami since Wednesday and I have no idea when I'll be heading back.
Out of all the places: Miami. Lol! It's actually quite nice here in February.

I'm glad to finally see Kristen! I missed her so much. Yes, I agree she makes wearing shades and a hoodie look amazing. Because she IS amazing. But thing that is lacking in "amazement" is the fact that she hurt her hand!!! NO!!! Lol. I hope it's not a break or anything, it just looks like a splint. She'll be okay. She's with Rob. :)

I'm glad they're done with BD in Baton Rouge. That's exciting. And they're both in LA now. :) That means they're together. That's a lovely fact.

Little story of mine: The past week, every time I would go into a supermarket or a gas station that had a tabloid rack, I would see that tabloid with Rob and Kristen on the cover that was going on about how they were "splitting up" which is ridiculous because there has been absolutely no storyline behind that at all. I was laughing because, if anything, we would know before the stupid tabloids.
So, long story short, every time I saw one, I would casually pick it up, pretend to look at it, and then turn it over so the front wasn't visible. HA! I did that like...10 aisles down in Walmart.
    Couldn't resist.
It was irresistable, like listening to that delicious Robsten Eclipse DVD "commentree"
hehe. It was satisfying. I think Rob and Kristen would laugh, and that's what made me happy because I was turning over magazines for them. Lol!

I wish Tom good luck in his play. If I were in London, I'd be going to that, no questions asked.

Well, I wish everyone a good week. I wish Rob and Kristen a magical week (praying all to themselves and each other)

    Lots to look forward to...<3

  50. Falling

    Florence & The Machine:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCExPW3OT5E

I've fallen out of favor and I've fallen from grace
Fallen out of trees and I've fallen on my face

Fallen out of taxis, out of windows too
Fell in your opinion when I fell in love with you

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

Sometimes I wish for falling, wish for the release
Wish for falling through the air to give me some relief

Because falling's not the problem, When I'm falling I'm at peace
It's only when I hit the ground it Causes all the grief

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Whoa-oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

This is a song for a scribbled-down name
And my love keeps writing again and again
And again and again and again and again

I dance with myself, I drunk myself down
Found people to love, left people to drown

I'm not scared to jump, I'm not scared to fall
If there was nowhere to land I wouldn't be scared at all
    At all

    Fall
    Fall

Sometimes I wish for falling, wish for the release
Wish for falling through the air to give me some relief

Because falling's not the problem, when I'm falling I'm at peace
It's only when I hit the ground it causes all the grief

    Stay With You

    John Legend:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nT1Oozijsy0

We've been together for a while now
    We're growing stronger everyday now
It feels so good, and there is no doubt
That I will stay with you

As each morning brings the sunrise
And the flowers bloom in springtime
On my loving you can rely
    And I'll stay with you

Oh, I will stay with you
Through the ups and the downs
Oh, I will stay with you
When no one else is around

And when the dark clouds arrive
I will stay by your side
And I know we'll be alright
    I will stay with you

    Though relationships can get old
And have the tendency to grow cold
We have something like a miracle
And I will stay with you

Oh, I will stay with you
Through the ups and the downs
Yes, I will stay with you
When no one else is around

And when the dark clouds arrive
I will stay by your side
And I know we'll be alright
    I will stay with you

And there'll be heartaches and pain (Yes it will)
But through it all we will remain
In this life we all know
Friends may come and they may go
But through the years I know I will stay

And in the end I know that we'll find
    Love so beautiful and divine
And we'll be lovers for a lifetime
And I will stay with you

Oh, I will stay with you
Through the ups and the downs
Yes, I will stay with you
When no one else is around

And when the dark clouds arrive
I will stay by your side
And I know we'll be alright
    I will stay with you

    Yeah, everything will be fine
    And I'll stay with you
Through the end of all time
    I will stay with you

I'm all lost in the supermarket
I can no longer shop happily
I came in her for that special offer
    A guaranteed personality

I wasn't born so much as I fell out
    Nobody seemed to notice me
We had a hedge back home in the suburbs
Over which I never could see

I heard the people who lived on the ceiling
    Scream and fight most scarily
Hearing that noise was my first ever feeling
That's how it's been all around me

I'm all tuned in, I see all the programmes
I save coupons from packets of tea
I've got my giant hit discoteque album
I empty a bottle and I feel a bit free

The kids in the halls and the pipes in the walls
    Make me noises for company

Long distance callers make long distance calls
And the silence makes me lonely

    And it's not here
    It disappear
    I'm all lost

I meant, that no, computers are beyond anyone's patience which means you probably need to clean up your junk files, or run a scan or such rot.

I still haven't deleted any of my 30,000 duplicate files and am most likely creating more, since it appears to be a habit of mine.

Having an IT son, apparently, is no advantage, right now, only when he can't ignore me, cause I get pesty, if you can believe that I ever get that way?

  70. I had a terrible experience trying to "fix" my computer last week. I called Dell since it is only 5 months old. The gentleman(who I could not understand) tried to get me to buy a $230.00 warranty and another program. I almost fell for it, because you are a victim to their superior expertise. But.. I have Mcafee and consulted them. They were nicer and I found I already have the capability to clean my files. TaDa!

    ReplyDelete
  71. @Birdie
Love it! And so did you clean your files?

    ReplyDelete
  72. @Birdie
And I also agree with not buying those kind of superior to myself programs, for beaucoup bucks.

As I prefer to invoke the gods and my own inferior understanding for equal measure. In the long run, the computer still runs. Ta, da!

  73. My problem with technology is there is too much to learn. I don't like that feeling of incompetence. It is probably good for me. One I have to learn new things constantly and I have to give up control(I really don't like that).

    ReplyDelete
  74. I never knew I should be cleaning my files. Now I am obsessed with it. See...how many other things don't I know(that I should be doing)?
Why don't they send a top 10 list of things you need to do? Instead you just fumble around until something goes wrong. That is why I don't trust them.

    ReplyDelete
  75. @Birdie
Very funny! I get your point and second it.

Everyone keeps secrets about their specialties or they wouldn't be special, would they?

No one wants us to know what to do, then they would not be needed to tell us what to do, when it is needed.

They think that they have some sort of control over us, but we prove them wrong by not following their rules or instructions, for they didn't give us any to begin with. We want the right to refuse to do them, when they do.

Control? Who are you kidding, luv?

Enough. We go on nicely as we are, don't we?

    ReplyDelete
  76. @Birdie
Let's write a very simple instruction guide for those 10 things to do for keeping your computer healthy, market it and become millionaires, so we can take that trip to Ireland, and say "screw computers". Good idea?

  77. Sometimes I think it is a conspiracy to drive me crazy and I already teeter on the edge! Oh,oh my paranoia is dlipping in.
    Well enough of that.
What do you have in store for today after you wake up?

    ReplyDelete
  78. That is not a bad idea. You would have to employ your son, since we have no idea what the top 10 are.
Seriously, wouldn't a simple little list be worth a fortune? No books, fine print, contract agreements.....

    ReplyDelete
  79. @Birdie
Paranoia usually does the one thing you wrote or the other!

I just recalled that I'd better get the old garbage cans and recycling to the curb now, before the trucks roar in and wonder where my very choice garbage is today.

Otherwise, the day will unfold as it will. I have little control over myself or that.

When I'm awake, hmm, that's always something to ponder, when I'm asleep. Am I awake now or asleep?
    Same difference in my mind.

Yes, we could do a $3 or $5 mail it to you offer, and make the big bucks by selling our list for little bucks, thus saving our fellow/fella incompetents great cost, worry and inconvenience. Brilliant!

Can you believe that no one else in the whole world has thought of doing this list yet, except for the two of us? I can, that's how I roll. Dreamer, ya know, that's me.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Since you know your way around the cyber world, I'll let you look for any such existing list. We could get suggestions from all the brilliant women on this site to give the top 10 most valuable hints to keep your computer healthy. Of course we would need a lawyer so someone couldn't sue us. Oh...already sounding like to much work!

    ReplyDelete
  82. @Birdie
Yes, yes, great thinking, and we will stimulate the economy by doing it the old fashioned, stubborn way, via postal service, and on recycled paper, for cash only. Hire employees, train them, stuff envelopes, lick stamps....

Already too much work, indeed. My mind is revolting at those revolting ideas I just wrote ^.

Let's talk music, twirling and recipes instead. But I know you have to leave soon, so I'll let you, let me know, when you know, what you want to say about the easy stuff, we both know, and that's easy, isn't it?

Goodbye millions, it was nice while the dream lasted.

Here's a freebie, to keep your computer healthly idea:

Blow the dust out of the computer from the back of it to the front, by reversing the hose in a vacuum, either outdoors or if indoors, after placing a plastic bag over the front of it, so dust does not settled all over yourself and the area.

Keeps the inside of the computer, free of dust, so the fan does not overheat, and shitcan your system. I really do, do this.

Well, there you go, let's give it all away to each other, free, cause we are good folks, paying it forward, like that.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I haven't listened to any new music lately, except the tunes you supply(greatly appreciated). I am going to LaCrosse to hear some live music this weekend. It is a folk singer(the one who does the Ireland trips)and a band from Nashville. Should be fun.
Recipes? I actually tried a few really fattening ones recently and am now refraining from making those for awhile. If you like Pecan Pie, I found a decadent muffin recipe and will give it out for the asking.
I am not twirling this morning, but getting geared up for the gym shortly. I have a long work week coming up and need to do something besides shovel today.

    ReplyDelete
  85. OK, how do you reverse a vacuum hose? I do think it would be a good idea to ask everyone here for ieas on keeping their computers healthy. See no work!

    ReplyDelete
  86. @Birdie
Here I am, asking you, for that muffin recipe like a pecan pie, and am not even expecting it very soon, since you do need to get to the gym, and get it in gear.

You know I will be happy whenever you post it, and will not hold the delay against you. I too have had my share of super fattening foods lately and understand the value of spacing them out over a long period of time for minimal effect.

    You are a darling Pal.

    ReplyDelete
  87. @Birdie
You put the hose into the vacuum hole that blows out the hot, stinky air from the bag, instead of the one that sucks up the dirty, stinking dust and such.

You are rolling and rocking with these ideas.

Roselanders, let's do it. Let's get our computers healthy by sharing tips for getting them healthy.

I'll bet my usual hundo that it will be easier to get our computers healthy, than ourselves. Any takers? Bet not..sigh.

All of the fockola from having fun today, is making me tired and I'm feeling that the fockola might have focked me up a little more than usual.

FGM's have no particular bedtimes for they may be called upon, or like you be "on call" 24-7, to wave the magic wand or such.

    Elvis says, "Hi, you're super!"

    ReplyDelete
