Rob and Kristen- Lather. History. Repeat.

Oh yeah, I´ll tell you something
I think you´ll understand

Robert has disappeared...
Yes
Of course
there have been the usual 'sightings'
You know...
Partying and kissing on mysterious blondes
Yeah, because Rob is always being 'caught' with other chicks.
(Sarcasm. Make a note of it)
But let's face it kiddos
We don't know where he is.

And I'm digging it.
Yes, I said digging.
Because the desperation on both sides of this fandom
is highly entertaining.
Is that mean?
Nah... just honest.
When I say that something
I wanna hold your hand

Don't get me wrong...
I'm all for Rob and Kristen being together.
And if they aren't right at this moment...
They will be.
Soon enough.
Honestly.
Don't you people pay attention?

When was the last time we saw Kristen?
Not nary a sighting since she landed in London.
You do realize that both Rob and Kristen
are masters at getting around undetected...
And by masters I mean they fucking travel in and out
of other countries without being seen.

Oh sure...
We get the occasional airport picture
but that is NOTHING in comparison to what we don't see.

And I love it.

Oh, please, say to me
You´ll let me be your man

I mean...
COME ON
Don't Robert and Kristen ALWAYS end up in the same place?
It's not a hard question.
Think about it.
Here's a hint...
YES!
I could list all the cities and places
where one has turned up to be with the other
But do I really have to?
It doesn't matter where they are.
It doesn't matter how far apart they are.
It doesn't matter.
Because love does find a way.

Where is Robert right now?
Where is Kristen?
Could they...
possibly be together right this minute?
Do we have to wait until someone twitters about it
to know where they are?
Well... some people do.
if it fits their agenda.
But the truth is...
WE DON'T KNOW
and isn't that positively glorious?
Isn't that the way it's supposed to be?

I love the thought of Rob and Kristen...
living their life
their love
in plain sight
without anyone being the wiser.

And please, say to me
You´ll let me hold your hand
I wanna hold your hand

I'm giddy with anticipation.
I really am.
Because sooner or later...
Love is gonna getcha.
And Rob and Kristen will end up
TOGETHER.

Lather.
History.
Repeat.

And when I touch you i feel happy, inside
It´s such a feeling
That my love
I can't hide

Final thoughts.

1. It came to my attention that some haters were
actually making the effort to go out and hide
copies of "W" magazine with Kristen on the cover.
Mind boggling... yes?
Oh sure... they might laugh it off
but it reeks of bitter foam.
Are you so insecure and threatened by Kristen
that you have to go out and do something so
blatantly ridiculous and childish?
Do you think it hurt Kristen in any way?
Or did it just make you look like a jealous fool?

Yeah you, got that something
I think you´ll understand
When I say that something
I wanna hold your hand
2. Guess what?
I'm still smiling about 'where's Rob?'
I can't wait for the next sighting.
Where will it be this time?
Who will he be with?
Will he still be in L.A.?
London?
NYC?
You have to admit...
the possibilities are almost endless.
Will he have Bear with him?
Will his hair have grown back properly?
Will he have major scruff?
Will he be holding Kristen's hand...
AGAIN???
Edge of the seat
Pins and Needles.
And when I touch you I feel happy, inside
It´s such a feeling
That my love
I can't hide

3. Isn't holding hands wonderful?
It's like staying connected to someone...
sharing intimate contact no matter where you are.
Something so simple
So sweet.
Holding onto someone you love
Someone you need to be touching...
Wanting to show you are indeed
TOGETHER.
Robert and Kristen seem to enjoy holding hands.
There have been so many pictures of them
doing just that.
An innocent gesture of love.

Yeah you, got that something
I think you´ll understand
When I feel that something
I wanna hold your hand

4. I know this isn't even remotely nice...
But this fandom makes me laugh.
On a daily basis.
Usually laughing AT someone
But great moments of laughing with people, too...
Oh sure...
There are moments of complete disgust
and absolute bewilderment...
But for the most part.
Laughs.
Lots of laughs.
Stop trying so hard.
Really.
It will be OK.
I promise.
I really do.

Seek and Ye shall find.
Have some faith.
It's all right there.
Right in front of your face.

This post is brought to you by the letter *T*

T for truth.
As in Rob and Kristen are in love.

T for together.
If they aren't together right this very moment?
They will be.
Count on it.

T for Tome.
My heart belongs to Tome.
Green Sheep.

Bye for now

  1. Hiding magazine's? That says everything you need to know about these immature little fuckers.

  2. I really believe he won't being going to London til she has 2-3 weeks left to finish filming...he's letting her work. Just as she allows him to work without any distractions. We all know...they can't keep their hands off each other!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Oh and I really wish Daniel Radcliffe would "litrelly" stop mentioning Rob in interviews...if these interviews are real...he's starting to make a fool of himself.

  4. I love what awesome ninjas Robert and Kristen are...I know we all like to see them, but I'm glad they're able to hide as well as they can. :)

All I can say able the W magazine thing is WTF are people thinking?!? Unbelievable bitter, vindictive, whack-jobs...wow.

    Have a happy Monday everyone!

  5. Claire,

As always, I love your take on things.

    Awhile,

I think you can't really fault Daniel. It just seems like interviewers always bring Rob's name up. It probably aggravates the hell out of both of them.

    Olivia,

I think you said school was starting this week so have a wonderful new year. You sound like you enjoy your job and students so much which is refreshing. And I'm curious, what did you think of Outlander?

  6. The magazine thing just totally sums up their IQ level. Unless you're 11 or less, you should be dying of shame admitting something so pathetic.

Maybe if any of them tried reading something instead of hiding it, they might actually have a hope of leading productive, fulfilling lives at some point in the future - you know, like Kristen Stewart?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hi Rose! Thanks for today's fun post. Love all the hand holding pix. ;)

Just how pathetic do you have to be to spend time hiding magazines? Will these nutters ever reach the bottom of the barrel? One thing's for sure - if the magazine cover was an unflattering picture they wouldn't hide it. So in their own way these haters are admitting how gorgeous and awesome the W cover is. (see, you can always find that silver lining! lol)

    Have a good one!

  8. I'd heard they were doing that over the weekend, hiding Kristen's W Mag cover. I went to my local B&N today and they didn't have it, so I asked just in case. They had sold out.

Another nonnie failure like the WFE premiere petition. How embarrassing they are. And really, just what level of psychosis are we dealing with here? What did they hope to accomplish...there's like 20 of them. Whatever.

While I'd secretly love to know Rob and Kristen are together, I'm glad they're flying under the radar, wherever they may be.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

  9. Hi dottie, angelica, Sydney and Claire.

    dottie,

I think we need another party night. I'm feeling particularly ornery today and some drinking may be called for.

  10. Hi Rose, Brilliant as always,

You just sum it up better then the rest, and why???? cause it's as simple as that!!!!
We who truely love and respect them, understand they have a life outside of the Twi-light, and they do what they have to when they have to the rest of the time should be just for them :)..
on that note, here's to a soon to be reunion or maybe it happened already? how exciting ;)

  11. Rose...
    How ridiculous are these people/idiots!??

I did get a copy of W and it is spectacular in person!
Gorgeous, glossy and a great article.

    Happy Monday All!

  12. Excellent post, Rose!

I miss Rob and Kristen gorgeous faces, but I am glad that they have been able to stay under the radar.

Hiding a magazine just because Kristen is on cover??...why do such a thing?? bitter jalouse bitches.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday.

Smitty, Gruff and Syd, always in my thoughts. Wishing the best of everything.

    Take care everyone

  13. Hi Rose,

Nice post. Wherever Rob is, I hope he is happy and enjoying his down time. I would love it if they were together right now, but I understand it if that’s not the case. As you have said (or had to say to quell the nervous masses), they will do what is right for them.

As someone else noted, if I was the silly twit who hid those magazines, I’d be totally embarrassed to admit it. Very childish.

Hi PL, Sydney, dottie, Claire, Kay and Angelica. I hope everyone has a really wonderful day. All going well, I hope to catch up with everyone soon.

  14. Hey PL! Name the time and I'll be here! I know you won't believe me because you think I'm always cheery (haha) but I'm feeling kind of ornery too, for no particular reason.

  20. Great post!
Can't go wrong with Beatles lyrics & cute Rob & Kristen pix :)

I agree that its awesome how Rob & Kristen haven't been seen, they deserve privacy & the luxury of living their day to day life without crazy intrusion. So good for them!

Hope u are all having a great day!

  21. Hi everyone

    @Awhile!

Dan Radcliffe keeps getting asked about Rob because he's worked with him before. He's not going to refuse to answer a question, is he?

Dan seems to be a really good person who has had nothing but good things to say about Rob, so he's alright to me.

  31. Hi all! I missed the last party, so I'm in if there's another tonight! We can send up the bat signal for PR PRO to join in as well! I heard she was the life of the party last time, or one of them!

This time of year is stressful for us all, isn't it? My calendar is overflowing with meetings, deadlines and kid-related stuff! Calgon, take me awaaayyyy!

Did I just show my age there? lol

  32. PL: I will be at my parents house tonight for ANOTHER family get together. Needless to say, drinking will be involved. I'm sure I can check in a few times if you all intend to have a drinking party here tonight!

  33. I was thinking about these "haters" yesterday. I was wondering why people choose such a strong emotional word to attach themselves to a person? I mean first off why "hate" at all? Why "hate" someone you don't personally know? There are plenty of celebrities I don't like but I just ignore any articles about them and move onto ones I do like. I don't get why someone over the age of 5 would intentionally hide a magazine so that people that wanted to buy it couldn't. Where is the logic in that? Is there logic? I really hope that there are only a few of these weird people and that they aren't old enough to be setting this example for children of their own. I can't even begin to imagine how someone could raise a normal child if that's the type of thing they feel is okay.

    ReplyDelete
  34. What the fuck? Hiding a magazine? Really?! Please tell me these aren't adult women doing this, because I will lose the little faith I have in woman-kind. How embarrassing.

Thank God there are people like Rose and places like Roseland to restore my faith that decent, normal, nice, rational and lovely fans exist out there.

Hi to everyone btw! Hope you are all enjoying your Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Good evening, Roseland...loving all the hand-holding pics, so very sweet...

A drinking party on a Monday? Hey, why not, I guess! Hope I can check in later...

Hiding magazines? Really? It's actually kind of humorous, picturing all these trolls and haters trying to stealthily turn mags over to hide Kristen's cover... Seriously, what can they be telling themselves during this sophomoric action..."Ooooo, this will get her back..." Wouldn't you just love to come across one of them in the bookstore, and ask, "WTH are you doing?"

Smitty, Gruff, and Syd: Have a wonderful drama-free week!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Seriously? Hiding magazines? I don't even know what to say about that kind of crazy behavior, wtf??

  40. I am blown away at the extremes people will go to to try and hurt Kris---totally ridiculous. These people sound like they are children, only children do something like that.

I would love to see Rob and Kris, but am totally happy they are out of the spotlight. I know they will be together sooner rather than later. I have faith in them, so know they are okay. People just need to get over it.

    Take care everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Thank you PL and Rhonda,
It was a great day, and I feel it will be a wonderful year. I am very fortunate. I do love my job. Something new every day and I continue learning from my students. They keep me young in spirit and along with the subject matter, allow me to be challenged mentally.

PL, The first was interesting, did like the Scottish lore. I agree that the ending had lots of unpleasant material, totally unnecessary I feel. I wasn't going to begin the second one but found a copy at Half Price Books and I decided to give it a chance to get better. Will let you know when I finish it.

Wishes for happiness for Rob and Kristen as they keep busy with their careers.

Have a nice evening and hugs for y'all.
Hugs for Smitty, Gruff and Syd too!

Good evening, darlin'! I've been out and about, and am now so grateful to be home. Sista stayed over to partee some and work some, so had a good time.

Toasting hands! All kinds of hands!

Hands that hold hands, hands that work, hands that move while talking, hands that shake while dancing, hands the care for others, hands that write, every kind of hand, even hands that hold champagne for toasts!

You about to go to bed?

  44. @Rose
Sure loved the hands post. Love the Beatles, like you do. Don't worry about R & K either. They're old hands at the hands parts, ya know.

Haven't been able to find any W mags, but did look around the shelf to find any that may have been "misplaced" ones, placed somewhere else, in "displaced" attempts to hide them. Still none to be found. Will keep on looking.

    Sarah Brightman:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EG0NCJBDpAE

    Take my hand
    I'm a stranger in paradise
    All lost in a wonderland
    A stranger in paradise

    If I stand starry-eyed
    That's the danger in paradise
    For mortals who stand
    Beside an angel like you

    I saw your face ascending
    Out of the common place
    And into the rare

    Now somewhere out in space
    I hang suspended
    Until I'm certain that
There's a chance that you care

Won't you answer this fervent prayer
    Of a stranger in paradise
Don't send me in dark despair
From all that I hunger for

    But open your angel's arms
    To this stranger in paradise
And tell him that he need be
    A stranger no more
    Aah-aah-aah

Don't send me in dark despair
From all that I hunger for
    But open your angel's arms
    To this stranger in paradise

And tell him that he need be
    A stranger no more

    Tom Waits:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvMy1xOh6cw

    Sane, sane they're all insane
    The fireman's blind
    The conductors lame

    A Cincinati jacket
    And a sad luck dame
    Hanging out the window
With a bottle full of rain

    Clap hands, Clap hands
    Clap hands, Clap hands

    Said roar
    Roar the thunder
    And the roar
Son of a bitch is never comin'
    Back here no more

    Moon in the window
    A bird on the pole
    Can always find a millionaire
    To shovel all the coal

    Clap hands, Clap hands
    Clap hands, Clap hands

Steam, steam a hundred bad dreams
    Goin' up to Harlem
With a pistol in his jeans

A fifty dollar bill inside in Palladin's hat
    And nobody's sure where
    Mr. Knickerbocker's at

    Shine, shine a Roosevelt dime
    All the way to Baltimore
    And runnin' out of time

Salvation Army seemed to wind up
    In the hole
    They all went to Heaven
    In the little row boat

    Clap hands, Clap hands
    Clap hands, Clap hands

  54. Smoke On The Water

    Deep Purple:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WX_4FNoto4

We all came out to Montreux
    On the Lake Geneva shoreline
To make records with a mobile

    We didn't have much time
    Frank Zappa and the Mothers
Were at the best place around

But some stupid with a flare gun
Burned the place to the ground
    Smoke on the water
    Fire in the sky

They burned down the gambling house
It died with an awful sound
Funky Claude was running in and out
    Pulling kids out the ground

    When it all was over
We had to find another place
But Swiss time was running out
It seemed that we would lose the race

    Smoke on the water
    Fire in the sky

We ended up at the Grand Hotel
It was empty cold and bare
    But with the rolling truck
    Stones thing just outside

    Making our music there
    With a few red lights
    And a few old beds

We make a place to sweat
No matter what we get out of this
    I know well never forget
    Smoke on the water
    Fire in the sky

    Thank you/errishar

Me, too, I'm tired. And I can say that I've had too many people around, but then again, that's why I moved away from the cornfields, back to the city life.

For me, it's the change in my life, and although needed and desired, it is once again, a change.

    Maybe we're waxing nostalgic, PL.

  56. September Song

    Walter Huston-1938:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkWn4--RmEk

But it's a long, long while
    From May to December
    And the days grow short
    When you reach September

And I have lost one tooth
And I walk a little lame
    And I haven't got time
    For the waiting game

And the days turn to gold
    As they grow few
    September, November

    And these few golden days
    I'd spend with you
    These golden days
    I'd spend with you

When you meet with a young man
    Early in spring
They court you in song and rhyme

    They woo you with words
    And a clover ring
    And if you examine
    The goods they bring

    They have little to offer
    But the songs they sing
And a plentiful waste of time of day
    A plentiful waste of time

But it's a long, long while
    From May to December
    Will the clover ring last
    Till you reach September

    And I'm not quite equipped
    For the waiting game
But I have a little money
And I have a little fame

    And the days dwindle down
    To a precious few
    September, November

    And these few precious days
    I'd spend with you
    These precious days
    I'd spend with you

    Thank you/tmmvds

  57. Kristen & Rob Got Lots of Pockets And Take Taxicabs Ninja-Style

    Hand In My Pocket

    Alanis Morissette:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGjaaQAvSTA

    I'm broke but I'm happy
    I'm poor but I'm kind
I'm short but I'm healthy, yeah

    I'm high but I'm grounded
    I'm sane but I'm overwhelmed
I'm lost but I'm hopeful baby

What it all comes down to
    Is that everything's gonna be
    Fine fine fine

    Cause I've got
    One hand in my pocket
    And the other one
    Is giving a high five

I feel drunk but I'm sober
    I'm young and I'm underpaid
I'm tired but I'm working, yeah

    I care but I'm restless
I'm here but I'm really gone
I'm wrong and I'm sorry baby

What it all comes down to
    Is that everything's
    Gonna be quite alright

I've got one hand in my pocket
    And the other one
    Is flicking a cigarette

What it all comes down to
Is that I haven't got it all
    Figured out just yet

    I've got one hand
    In my pocket
    And the other one
    Is giving the peace sign

    I'm free but I'm focused
    I'm green but I'm wise
I'm hard but I'm friendly baby

    I'm sad but I'm laughing
I'm brave but I'm chicken shit
I'm sick but I'm pretty baby

And what it all boils down to
    Is that no one's
    Really got it figured out
    Just yet

    I've got one hand
    Cause I've got one hand
    In my pocket
    And the other one
    Is playing the piano

What it all comes down to
    My dear friends
    Is that everything's
    Just fine fine fine

I've got one hand in my pocket
    And the other one
    Is hailing a taxicab

    Thank you/rrn3000

French Champagne, A French Song, A Ball

Bal dans ma rue/Ball On My Street

    Edith Piaf-1949:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QY1aefxVaPg

Ce soir, il y a bal dans ma rue
    Jamais encore, on n'avait vu

Tonight, there's a ball on my street
    Never before had there been
    Such joy
    Such a crowd/rush
There's a ball on my street
    And in the little bistro
    Where joy is flowing

Seven musicians stuck on a trestle
    Play for the lovers
    That come here in pairs
The laughter's on their lips, eyes to eyes

Tonight there's a ball on my street
    Everyone feels a little excited
    Maybe a little drank too
There's a ball on my street

    Thank you/jacquesurlus

I never walked near the edge
    Used to fear falling
I never swam far from shore
    Never tried the secret door

But when you give me love
    When you give me love
I have no fear of heights

No fear of the deep blue sea
    Although it could drown me
I know it could drown me

I didn't wander in the woods
    Used to fear the darkness
    I didn't like getting deep
    I was scared of what
    I couldn't keep

But when you give me love
    When you give me love
I have no fear of heights

No fear of the deep blue sea
    Although it could drown me
I know it could drown me

    No fear of the fall
    No fear if it's
    With you that I fall

  67. I can't wait to see where Rob turns up next. It's exciting. It's a guessing game whilst nothing happens, or just a little bit of peace and quiet and patience.

Hiding magazines? I'd heard about that. I took it for legit after seeing so many people saying it was true. If I was the owner of any store that sells magazines, I'd have a sign out the front saying "W Magazine with Kristen Stewart on the cover and inside, ask for at the till, as grown ass women are hiding them as they feel threatened by the number of people who will turn out to buy the magazine."

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  68. Dear Rose, even though your blog is written (purely in fun) your blog along with the "Do I dazzle you" blog that Angel Slave writes...has helped people like me a former, "insecure shipper " see the truth.
Watching Rob and kristen in interview that they did together I SAW their love, and your blog helped me to not worry about them, "as if my worrying could change anything... how crazy I was!!!" . It's the 1st HW couple I ever followed, and started looking for info on these 2 because I never saw any love in RL or on TV as these 2 have for each other the Oprah show. I also loved every movie kristen has been in. Just wanted you to know that you DO help people like me who rarely post but ALWAYS check for any updates you may write. The truth rings true and your 'purely written in fun" blog... Rings True! Thanks for your words of wisdom that often make me LOL, and please KNOW that if it has helped me, I am sure it has helped many more people. I will never understand why some people do not like, or believe that these two are together & you help me laugh at them instead of worrying that they may be right. I sometimes feel like I am crazy to even take the time to try to find out what they are doing in life. But their Love is so special and makes me feel like there really are "soul mates" in this world, and I am holding out, not settling for less until I find mine :). Again Thanks for your "purely in fun" Blog!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Forgot to mention that Reading things from Muse and Tulip helped me alot too! Nothing helps me understand why people are so upset that these two are together?? Why in the world would they hide W Mag? Do they think this stupid act will bring Kristen down ?

Hmm, pee and champagne, eh? Well, they are both natural processes, and the same color in essence, so I guess I am the same ol' mama. Sent you about 20 emails, to perk up our convo, like I like to do. :)

If I'm good and not out too late, I can be here tonight with you.

    Take The Long Road Home

    Supertramp-Roger Hodgson:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kamXwSM6Ta0

So you think you're a Romeo
    Playing a part in a picture-show
    Take the long way home
    Take the long way home

Cos you're the joke of the neighborhood
Why should you care if you're feeling good
    Take the long way home
    Take the long way home

But there are times that you feel
    You're part of the scenery
All the greenery is comin' down, boy

And then your wife seems to think
    You're part of the furniture
    Oh, it's peculiar
She used to be so nice.

When lonely days turn to lonely nights
You take a trip to the city lights
And take the long way home
    Take the long way home

You never see what you want to see
    Forever playing to the gallery
You take the long way home
    Take the long way home

And when you're up on the stage, It's so unbelievable,
    Unforgettable, how they adore you,
But then your wife seems to think
    You're losing your sanity,
Oh, calamity, is there no way out?

Does it feel that you life's become a catastrophe?
Oh, it has to be for you to grow, boy.
When you look through the years
And see what you could have been
    Oh, what might have been
    If you'd had more time.

So, when the day comes to settle down,
Who's to blame if you're not around?
You took the long way home
You took the long way home

  74. I've just heard about the earthquake that has hit the east coast.

I hope any of you that you live in the affected areas are fine.

I've never experienced an earthquake before, it must be terrifying.

Yes, I just this minute heard about the earthquake myself. It is frightening.

Hope all are safe and sound, and that our Eastern Roselanders will check in when they can, to say so.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Hi all,

I am fine, I was driving home from work when this happened, and almost got into a car accident but did not, thank god. We had a 5.3 out here, for us that is very odd on the East Coast. I hope my other East Coast friends are OK to.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hi.......Fine here as well.

Little Ashes or How to Be??

I'm torn on which to watch. :/

  87. Hello Roseland,

Annie, 30 glad that you are both OK!

    Claire, Little Ashes :)

I hope everyone is having a great day.

    Take care

    ReplyDelete
  88. Claire: Haven't seen either, but heard both are GREAT (of course!!)

In regards to earthquake: Only thing I noticed here in the southeastern Massachusetts area was when I was laying out by the pool, and a ton of acorns began falling from the trees in the backyard...I actually got up to see if there was a family of crazed squirrels or something in the tree! When I came back into the house, the news was showing a bunch of office buildings in Boston had been evacuated! How bizarre for the East Coast!

Glad to hear everyone (Rhonda, Annie, 30) is OK so far...I hope IB's students weren't frightened if they were still in her class...

    ReplyDelete
  89. Good to know our East Coast Roselanders are fine.
Spoke with my sister-in-law who lives an hour outside of Richmond and she said it scared the crap out of her. Everything moved back and forth but no damage to her business.
Now their eyes are on Hurricane Irene!

Hope everyone had a good day!

  90. @katy

I decided to watch Little Ashes.

    @kenzz

You have to watch them. How to Be is very funny, and Little Ashes is Rob's best performance IMO. It's very quirky and you have to go into it with an open mind, but it's fantastic. Rob and Javier Beltran are AMAZING as Dali and Lorca.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Hi Friends! Thanks for the concern....I live about 20 miles from the epicenter, so yeah, we felt it here! But all is well. No cracks in the foundation, no china broken (although it shook for minutes after) and the fam is safe! I hope all my east coast friends are safe and sound. What a weird, freaky afternoon! We do hurricanes(bracing for one) tornados and floods, but not earthquakes. This was only the 5th earthquake in Va. since 1776. Wow.

Take care all. Off to a boring party for one of hubs' clients. At least we have the earthquake to talk about! lol

    ReplyDelete
  92. sjjw: Wow, how scary for you guys!! Glad everyone's safe & sound!

Claire: After reading Cosmopolis & trying to envision how you'd film a 2 hr movie from it, believe me, I can have an open mind about anything! haha

    ReplyDelete
  93. Thanks Rhonda! I'm good...the scariest part is the epicenter was SO close to the nuclear power plant at Lake Anna. They shut it down, for precautions. That's scary stuff. But I've heard all is well. I hope so!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Sj- That is scary, I'm so glad to hear you're okay. Enjoy the party. You deserve it after today, take care :)

Kenzz- LOL, over the acorn story. I'm glad you're okay too :)

Claire- Good choice. I liked both movies, but I agree, Rob's portrayal of Dali was really good.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Rhonda, "enjoy" is a relative term. But this client has invited us to the opening of his new restaurant, so I'm a bit hopeful. Although, hubs said something about a cash bar. (bad sign, IMO)

Take care all! off to sip champagne and listen to jazz...that's how the party was billed. I'll let you know!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Good Evening ROSELANDERS...

I was home when the quake hit but didnt feel a thing but hubby was in Columbia at work and they felt it in their office building ...a mild rumbling was all.

30...Glad you made it home safely!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Good to hear you East Coasters are all okay! I'm sure that was pretty scary for an area that is not earthquake prone. I'm seeing a battle between East and West Coasters now...Westerner's bragging about their earthquake savvy selves. Whatever...raindrops scare the mighty Westerner's.

I am OK, actually didn't even realize WTF was going on until I got a frantic call from my mom and daughter, then watched the news. They said the bed was moving, the hole house was shaking.I bet the West coast peeps are laughing at us to be honest. It is scary for us North East people we can deal with 4 feet of snow (kind of),hurricanes, even a tornadoes here and there, earthquakes, well this is my first. lol

    I hope everyone is well!

    ReplyDelete
  99. SYDNEY...Hurricanes scare the crap out of me after Hugo in "89...it was horrible...we literally had to chain saw our way out of the neighborhood, were without electricity for a week...the eye went right over us and sounded like a freight train! I'll take a few raindrops any day...haha

    ReplyDelete
  103. I'm so glad to know out East Coast Roselanders are ok. What a shock!

SJ, Maybe if you sip enough champers you won't notice any aftershocks. ;) Have fun!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Kenzz- The sunburn is much better, and I haven't peeled, so far. Thanks for asking :)

Yes, I'm planning to see Adele this fall..can't wait!

I hope I didn't sound like a jerk for laughing over the acorn story. I know today was really scary for a lot of people, and I certainly wasn't trying to make light of that, but your bit about the crazed squirrels made me laugh. I'm sorry if I seemed insensitive.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Rhonda, if you are insensitive, then so am I.

Kenzz, I hope it didnt seem like I was making light of it.

    Good night PL :)

    ReplyDelete
  110. Oh Rhonda...of course not! I meant it to be funny, silly! Anyone who "knows" you realizes that you are probably the least insensitive person here!!

Can't wait to hear all about the Adele concert!

    ReplyDelete
  111. So glad that y'all on the East Coast are safe and sound. What a scare! Please take care and stay safe in case Irene decides to meander your way.

Kenzz, liked your acorn/rowdy squirrel story.

30, so thankful that you were able to keep the car under control.

Little Ashes gets my vote. It was a brave and daring role for Rob. Really liked the part where Lorca recited poetry at the dinner party and also at the end of the film, where Rob, as Dalí, was painting with black paint, filled with grief over the tragedy that had just taken place. That was a powerful and moving interpretation by Rob.

Yes Birdie, in a college prep program in the Modern Language Department of a high school.

    Take care dear Roselanders.
    Hugs for y'all.

I'm glad to hear that everyone here is fine given the earthquake this afternoon. Mother nature sure is playing tricks on us, what with earthquakes in the east, and a very rare F3 tornado that hit 2 hours north of us on Sunday. Very weird weather indeed. I hope everyone in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas will be fine with Irene coming.

I only have a quick minute to pop in. Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you all.
