Rob Loves Kristen- Let's Count the Ways

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I adore Kristen Stewart.
Why?
Well... there are numerous reasons.
But I want to talk about why I think Robert loves her.
Because he does.
(You'd be a fool not to see it)
Kristen is a talented actress.
Directors and other actors she has worked with
have all come out singing her praises...
talking about how much they loved working with her.
This includes Robert.
Rob saw Kristen in "Into The Wild"
and decided he wanted to work with her.
He said that Kristen was the only reason he wanted
to do Twilight.

Pattinson: Kristen's the best actress of our generation,
and that's why I wanted to do this movie.
I don't know why she is.
She's just better than everybody else.

Rob loves Kristen's talent.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight

Kristen is stunning.
I mean... she's a natural beauty
She looks gorgeous without any makeup.
She's a beautiful blond.
She's looks good with a Joan Jett Shag.
No matter what color her hair is...
Or what style
She is ethereally beautiful

I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.

Marcus Foster had Kristen in his video
for "I am Broken".
And you feel the "broken" when you look at Kristen.
It's all in her expressive eyes.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;

Right.
We all know that Robert has talked about Kristen's eyes before.
*nudge nudge*
You remember...

"Shes got this big green eyes, and there as wide as the moon.
They can take you to bed without you leavin' the room.
I would kill just to be her man
but she's too cool to give a damn."

(Come on...You know its true)

Robert loves the way Kristen looks...

I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.

I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.

"If Edward had to choose another part of the body to bite on,
that’s not the neck, which would that be?
Which part?"
  "Ass." --Rob

Robert: Round female bottoms are very much a miracle.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints
Kristen likes to cook.
A lot.
I'm guessing Rob likes to eat...
A lot.

I'm thinking that Rob loves that Kristen is a good cook
and that she likes to cook for him.
Rob: "Kristen made a loquat crumble yesterday.
One of the best things I've ever tasted!"

“She literally only watches the cooking channel,” continued Rob.
“Especially onset, she has a TV in the makeup trailer-
it’s her only diva-ish behavior.
Having the cooking channel on all the time in every room.”
I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life!

and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
Rob not only gave Kristen a guitar for her 18th birthday...

"Kristen Stewart doesn’t remember her other birthday presents,
but she can describe quite succinctly
what Robert Pattinson gave her for her 18th birthday,"

“Rob got me a guitar, um, which is beautiful. The guitar is, like, great."

He trusted her to take one of his favorite guitars
with her to London.
That speaks volumes.
Loud volumes.
Loud Love Volumes.
A man and his guitar aren't easily parted.
Only those close and trusted...
and well loved
Are entrusted to borrow his well loved guitar.

Tom will take care of you...

Robert's friends love Kristen.
Bobby, Marcus, Sam...
And of course Thomas.
Tom who has protected Kristen
when Rob couldn't be there.
Tom who has traveled with Kristen.
Hung out with Kristen...
And worked with Kristen..

"She's such an extraordinary actress." --Tom

Ah to be the middle of that British sandwich...

And last but not least...
Because when it comes to Rob and Kristen
How can there be a 'least'?

Always mirroring the other... without even realizing it.

Rob loves Kristen.
They share everything.
Time Together.
Travel.

Dogs

Robert Pattinson: Thank God that Kristen was with me.
So we just adopted one dog. A mutt. We called him bear.

Clothes.
Guitars.
Friends.
When are you going to realize... he's MINE.

Cigarettes.
And most of all...
Rob loves sharing kisses

Kiss me once...

And Kiss me twice...
And Kiss me once again...

At the WFE premiere
Rob showed everyone that he loved Kristen.
Kristen showed everyone she loved Rob.
Holding hands.
Kissing in the car.

That's why Rob loves Kristen.

One more thing...

367
  I adore Thomas Sturridge.
For the kind of friend he is to Rob and Kristen...
For his acting.
For his incredible blue eyes.
For those...lips.
And let's not forget his voice...
Oh no.
We can't forget that.

This post is brought to you by Steve Miller.

You're the cutest thing I ever did see
Really love your peaches want to shake your tree
Lovey-dovey, lovey-dovey, lovey-dovey all the time
Come on baby and I'll show you a good time

Bye for now

  1. Really great post today, very cute!
And as the editor of Harpers Bazaar said of Rob & Kristen's photoshoot in 2009 "the interview alluded to their real life romance, but seeing is believing" and pix of those 2 always say more than words of other's can.

Happy happy Friday everyone! I hope u all are having a great one & can sleep in & be lazy this weekend like I plan to! :)

  3. Hi folks,

Lovely post Rose. Another wonderful marriage of words and images. I too can see why Rob loves Kristen. And why Tom loves his friend Kristen as well.

I only have a minute to pop in, but I had to quickly satisfy my Roseland addiction.

I hope everyone is well. Catch up with you all soon.

  4. What a nice, sweet post today. No drama, no foam just stating facts.

    Claire,

I'm glad you survived the night. I was worried you might have taken all that advice to drink a little too literally.

Happy weekend to all and may your football team win.

  5. Rose, you are so much fun. I swear you can find a smilie for any subject! The peach/tree proves it! LOL

Today's post is really cute. Kristen is a true beauty, inside and out. I hope she's enjoying herself while working on SWATH.

I'm heading out to pick pears off my neighbor's tree. He told me I could have all I want and I'm taking him up on it. Any recipe suggestions??? Have any of you ever made preserves? I never have but I might be brave and give it a try.

    TGIF! I really mean it!!!

  6. :''')

    Lovely post Rose

I think another thing he loves about her is that she probably doesn't take any crap off him.

Something tells me that people probably blow a lot of smoke up his arse, and he'll know when people are being genuine or not.

Kristen strikes as me as the type of woman who would give good advice even if it's not what the person wants to hear, in other words she's real, she isn't your Paris Hilton or Kardashian type.

The funny thing is that although they look like they have put their make up on with a pasting brush, they still can't hold a candle to her in the beauty department.

And of course, that arse, which we have spied Rob admiring quite a few times LOL. Fuck me sideways, what I'd give to have that woman's arse.

Can you tell that she's my girl crush? PMSL

Ahhhhhh... this is the sweetest post.
After reading continual garbage about so many Hollywood couples breaking up, divorcing, cheating...it is so nice to see our lovebirds more in love than ever.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

  13. Love a sappy post for a Friday! Those two are just sweet and that's why they have captivated legions. Their friend Thomas gets props too for being the kind of person he is.

I hope that wherever they all are they are happy and enjoying what life is bringing them.

Dottie- Thanks for wishing me a peaceful weekend. The week hasn't been bad, just terribly busy!!! So I'm ready to relax and let the good times roll...

I wish I had a pear recipe for you alas I don't. Have fun picking them though.

Kenzz- From the previous post...you posted your comment about Taylor's premiere while I was typing out my comment. I hope you didn't think I was correcting you! :)

I only knew the premiere was last night because it was all over my twitter feed. I thought it was tonight too actually!

I'm headed out to dinner with some family that came into town. If I don't get a chance to pop by later hope everyone has a lovely evening!

  22. I really enjoyed your post too as always though. Evidently, Rob had something really important to back to LA for. I just couldn't help from thinking that Rob is "so human!" I love that Kristen is strong willed and determined and smart. I love that Rob loves her with so much pride and respect! They'll be reunited soon enough, in the meantime, let's just wish them well on their projects at hand. They both have a great future ahead of them...personally and professionally!

  30. Happy Sunday morning to you!

I'm about to fly over to Neptune for a lark. I'd might as well, after the exciting day I've had already.

Great dinner out with friends, and then total strangers pounding on my door, so eager they were to meet me.

What a friendly, lively place I live now, especially on weekends. Even telling them that a grandma ( a tiny fib) lives here, did not discourage them for long. Knew I should have had some red wine instead of white, that would have convinced them.

Well, so I'll fly away and visit later today. Have fun.

    @Super

  39. Look at how these two are growing up in front of our eyes! Kristen looked BEAUTIFUL at Mulberry Fashion Show and appears in the photos as having had a great time next to Kate Moss! If that girl receives any crap from anyone over these photos--they are just flat out hateful and jealous. I could only imagine the smile on Rob when he saw a pic of her. Come on, you know someone snaps a photo just to send to him before she steps out all glammed up! I guess we'll read about this week what he's up to in LA! I think today makes 61 days til Breaking Dawn!

  40. The Connoisseur of Great Excuse

    Damien Rice:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIYz75bHt9I

Of all the foolish things to do
I became a connoisseur of great excuse
And my pessimistic past the blame
Will never make this go away

Of all the foolish things I've said
That keep me sleepy almost dead
I'm sorry if I've let you down
    My eyes were closed
    They're open now

    I'm waking up
    I am waking up
    I am waking up
    I awake

And this has all been said before
I've listened but then I ignored
    My ears grew deaf
    My head gave up
The junkie knows not when to stop

    Of all the foolish alibis
    The constipated push for why
I've had a blanket pulled over my eyes
Oh hush now baby don't you cry

    I'm waking up
    I am waking up
    I am waking up
    I'm awake

    Coming
    I am waking up
    I'm ready
    I am waking up
    Dada da da da daaa

  41. To Love Somebody

    Ray LaMontagne & Damien Rice:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILA1HdwRnHo

    There's a light
    A certain kind of light
    That never shone on me

I want my whole life to be
    Lived with you
    Lived with you

    There's a way
    Everybody say
To do each an every little thing
    But what does it bring
If I ain't got you, ain't got you

Baby, you don't know what it's like, baby
You don't know what it's like
    To love somebody
    To love somebody
    The way I love you

    In my brain
    I see your face again
I know my frame of mind
How you got to be so unkind
    And I'm blind
    So, so blind

    I'm a man, can't you see
    What I am
I live and breathe for you
But what good does it do
If I ain't got you, ain't got you

    Baby, you don't know
    What it's like
    To love somebody
    The way I love you

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leohcvmf8kM

If you see a faded sign
At the side of the road
That says "15 miles to the
    Love Shack"
    Love Shack, yeah, yeah

I'm headin' down the Atlanta highway
    Lookin' for the love getaway
    Headed for the love getaway
I got me a car, it's as big as a whale
And we're headin' on down to the Love Shack

I got me a Chrysler, it seats about 20
So hurry up and bring your jukebox money

The love shack is a little old place
    Where we can get together
Love Shack, baby (a-Love Shack, baby)
    Love Shack, baby, Love Shack
(Love, baby, that's where it's at)

Sign says (woo) "Stay away, fools"
'Cause love rules at the Love Shack
Well, it's set way back in the middle of a field
Just a funky old shack and I gotta get back

    Glitter on the mattress
    Glitter on the highway
    Glitter on the front porch
    Glitter on the highway

    Huggin' and a-kissin'
    Dancin' and a-lovin'
    Wearin' next to nothin'
'Cause it's hot as an oven
    The whole shack shimmies

    Yeah, the whole shack shimmies
The whole shack shimmies when everybody's
Movin' around and around and around and around
    Everybody's movin', everybody's groovin', baby

Folks linin' up outside just to get down
    Everybody's movin', everybody's groovin', baby
    Funky little shack

Hop in my Chrysler, it's as big as a whale and it's about to set sail
I got me a car, like, it seats about 20
So come on and bring your jukebox money

Bang, bang, bang, on the door, baby
    Knock a little louder, baby
Bang, bang, bang, on the door, baby
    I can't hear you
Bang, bang, bang, on the door, baby
    Knock a little louder, sugar

Bang, bang, bang, on the door, baby
    I can't hear you
Bang, bang, bang, on the door, baby (Knock a little louder)
Bang, bang, bang, on the door, baby
    Your what?
    Tin roof, rusted

Love Shack, baby, Love Shack (Love, baby, that's where it's at, yeah)
Love Shack, baby, Love Shack (Love, baby, that's where it's at)
    Love, baby, Love Shack
    Huggin' and a-kissin',

  43. Today Is Your Day

    Shania Twain:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWeRQtj6s2o

You got what it takes, you can win.
Today is your day to begin.
Don't give up here, don't you quit.
The moment is now, this is it.

I know that you can, then you will.
Get to the top of the hill.
Part of the fun is the climb.
You just gotta make up your mind.

    That today is your day.
And nothing can stand in your way.
    Today is your day.
    Everything's going your way.

    Today (you can do it).
    Today (c'mon).
    Today (c'mon, do it now).
    Today.

When somebody throws sticks and stones,
All they can break are your bones.
And life's gonna kick you around.
And then kick you again when you're down.

    Life's gonna kick you
    It's gonna kick you around,
    It's gonna kick you down.
    Brush yourself off, no regrets.
This is as good as it gets.
    Don't expect more or less.
Just go out and give it your best.
    (Give it your best)

    Today is your day.
And nothing can stand in your way.
    Today is your day.
    Everything's going your way.
    Today.
    (Yeah)
    Today.

I said today is your day.
    Today (you can do it).
    Today (yeah).
I said today, yeah (come on, do it now).
    Today.
    Today is your day

  44. Quiet Nights Of Quiet Stars

    Sarah Vaughan:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReiygIfRBaE

    Quiet nights of quiet stars
    Quiet chords from your guitar
    Floating on the silence
    That surrounds us

    Quiet thoughts and quiet dreams
    Quiet walks by quiet streams
And the window that looks out
On the mountains and the sea
    Oh, how lovely it is

This is where I want to be
Here with you so close to me
    Until the final flicker
    Of life's embers

I too was sad and lonely
    Believing life was only
    A bitter tragic joke

    I found with you
    The meaning of existence
    Oh, my love

    Climbing hills where lovers go
To watch the world below together
We will live eternally in this mood of reverie
    Away from all
    The earthly cares around us

My world was dull each minute
Until I found you in it
    And all at once
    The happiness I knew
    Became these quiet nights
    Of loving you

Oh, I love the quiet nights
    Of quiet stars
    Hmmmm

    Thank you/RoundMidnightTV

  49. Good morning Roselanders.

Those pics of Kristen at London Fashion Week yesterday are stunning!
I truly admire that young woman.

    Have a good day everybody.

  50. Also to Robert:
As DK said.....Hoping for a successful surgery for you and speedy recovery.

  51. Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

I saw the pictures of Kristen at the Mulberry show. Flawless...that is all.

I really love the dark hair color she is doing right now for SWATH. Makes her eyes pop.

People want their paychecks so off I go. Have a great day!

  52. Robert,

Good Luck with your surgery. I hope everything goes as planned and this makes your life easier.

    DK,

Thanks for reminding us about Robert. I know I tend to forget about events if someone isn't around all the time so thanks.

One of my favorite actors won an Emmy last night, Kyle Chandler for Friday Night Lights so even this rainy day can't dampen my spirits.

    Dottie,

    Did you read that?

  53. Hello everyone. It was such a hectic week end I'm almost glad it's Monday.

PL, Perfect timing! I'm so proud of you! It won't be long until that 1/2 empty glass is 1/2 full. LOL

DK, I laughed when I saw that you posted the Love Shack lyrics. A perfect song to start the work week off w/a bang!

Robert, Best wishes for a successful surgery and speedy recovery.

Hope to be around for a chat later. Have a great day!

  54. dottie,

  56. DK: You got me bee-boppin' away with the B-52's Love Shack... Thanks for the uplifting start to my week :)

Robert: I to am thinking of your surgery and wishing you some peace with the results...

Pics of Kristen: just so beautifully natural... loving her look!

Hi to Melinda, Claire, PL, dottie, Annie, and the inspired (and inspiring FGM!), as well as anyone else who might check in after me today..

((hugs)) to Rose, Smitty, Gruff, and Syd

  57. Hi guys,

Robert- Best of luck with your surgery. Let us know how you're doing when you can.

PL- I've always liked Kyle Chandler too. I'm happy he won. LOL, I think tweedle dum and I are starting to get to you ;)

Kenzz- I loved your dream story. If I ever achieve any measure of fame or celebrity, I would definitely want you in charge of my security.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Melinda- I hope your week is not quite so hectic :)

    Claire- Have you recovered?

    ReplyDelete
  59. @Rhonda

    Yes LOL

The swelling around my eye has gone right down, thankfully.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Claire- Good, I'm glad to hear it ;)

I saw the pics of Kristen from the Mulberry show. She looked beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  61. @Rhonda

She certainly did, she's developed into one of the most beautiful women on the planet.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Special hugs sent out to Rhonda and Claire (& Freddie and Super and IB and 30, where are YOU, my wonderful Northeast Roselanders?) :)

Rhonda, I have no doubt you are destined to be at a level of importance that may not require my security (lol), but will surely garner respect!!

  63. Hi folks,

I’m just checking in to see how people are doing.

I have to agree with everyone who said that Red Rob is gorgeous. He needs to wear it more often. And Kristen looked absolutely stunning at the Mulberry show in London yesterday. It was lovely to see her.

Robert – we’ll be thinking of you. All the best.

IB – glad to hear that the school year is off to a good start

Dottie – hope the pear picking was fun.

Claire – glad to hear that the eye is on the mend. I guess you can look back on it now and laugh.

Melinda - I hope things calm down for you.

Claire, Rhonda, Kenzz, Super, Fio, Annie, Birdie, Katy, Kay, Liza, Hope, Angelica, PL, dottie and all the other regulars – I hope you are all well.

DK – I had planned to post this a week or more ago after our last discussion on singers, but somehow I got caught up in other stuff. It’s just a song that I think is really beautiful. Streisand does a wonderful version. The lyrics really come to life when you listen to the song. I hope you will like it.

    Answer Me

Do you wake up very slowly?
Does it take a while before you smile
    Are your dreams like premonitions
    Have you lived them through
    Some people do

I hope you'll answer me with patient eyes
No hurried words, foolish or wise
Answer me, answer me with soft silent touches
They'll tell me as much as I need to know

Answer me with deep and restful sleeping
And if you dream in sleep
    They're yours to keep

No you need not answer me
    If we must part
    Should someone ask
    Who's touched your heart
    Perhaps you'll answer me

Night all. Stay well and take care.

  64. Hi Kenzz - I guess I just missed you. I hope you are well. How was the weekend in Maine? (I can't remember if it was this past weekend or the one before).

    ReplyDelete
  65. @Freddie

I was laughing as soon as it happened tbh. Shit like that is ALWAYS happening to me, I'm a clumsy person.

    How are you?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Freddie: Just popped in after dinner... lovely Streisand song!

Weekend in Maine was spectacular! The ending of Summer, transitioning into Fall, is truly a site to behold in New England! Wish you could all experience it with me!

In keeping with the Fall Harvest, we're taking the kids apple picking on Saturday or Sunday, requiring me to bake an apple pie... for those of you who are bakers, I beg for your best recipes, or at least your best wishes!! lol

    ReplyDelete
  67. @Kenzz

You can have my best wishes, I can't cook to save my life. LOL

  68. Hello ROSELAND...I am regretably late checking in with you tonight because I talked with the FGM for over an hour on the phone....we get into some deep discussions on a wide range of topics...it takes awhile...lol..she has gone to run some errands and will be on later :)

FREDDIE...What a lovely song you posted...

KENZZ...sorry I missed you and RHONDA and CLAIRE...a busy day today..starting the week off with a bang.

A little excitement at our house ...a demolition of the old deck and a major tear out of shrubbery etc around the old deck....the new deck construction started today and there will be a patio with a firepit and seating...woohoo..like an episode on DIY network...the dog is bewildered but delighted to have the company...cant wait for the "finished product"!

    ReplyDelete
  69. @Super

That sound like a LOT of work!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Hi Claire and Kenzz - nice to catch up with you both.

Claire - it was a great story. It sounded like the world was conspiring against you last week. Glad things have improved.

Kenzz - I'm glad you had a nice weekend. The leaves have just started to turn here, but I can imagine that the colour must be absolutely breathtaking when they turn in New England. I'll do you a favour and not suggest a recipe, since cooking is definitely not my forte.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Hi Super - I hope you are feeling better. You had me drooling when I read about the dinner you had last night. Yum Yum.

    Yeah - it's a really great song.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Super, as Liza would say, "gutted" to have missed you! Pass along my love to our resident fairy godmother! :)

Seriously, I can't believe none of you Roselanders has a recipe for an apple pie... I have evidently convinced my children ( through anecdote, only!) of my baking ability, of which I KNOW I am sorely lacking... To help me save faCE, i HAVE EVERY CONFIDENCE THAT ONE OF YOU WILL COME TO MY RESCUE WITH AN HEIRLOOM FAMILY RECIPE! sorry, I hit the caplock and was too lazy to retype...
    need by Friday... :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. CLAIRE...Haha..alot of work for my nephew and his workers...my nephew has his own construction/landscape and irrigation company!

FREDDIE and KENZZ..I am looking forward to the fall. I have a Japanese maple tree in my backyard that turns the most beautiful crimson red. I am hoping to take a short trip to Asheville NC in a few weeks to meet up with a friend and hope the leaves will be turning by then:)

    ReplyDelete
  74. Kenzz- I have a recipe, but my crust never turns out right :(

Freddie- I know you've been busy lately. I hope things are going well.

Claire- I've never been the most graceful girl either ;)

Super- That sounds really nice, especially the firepit.

    ReplyDelete
  75. KENZZ..I wish I could help you with the cooking of the pie...It would be a disaster if I did...I would go to Allrecipes.com and check out their recipes...I have never been able to make the pie crusts...lol..I buy the ones at the grocery store that are premade and you just unroll them and viola!
(Needless to say, my pies are nothing to brag about).

    ReplyDelete
  76. @Super

Keeping it in the family I see, it sounds like it's going to be really nice.

    @Rhonda

Clumsiness has been a problem of mine since I was a toddler apparently, I'm always walking into stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hey Rhonda - I hope all is well with you and the new job.

Super - the new deck and firepit sound great. A friend of mine had one and really loved it for sitting out at night. I'm sure you will love yours.

I'm going to call it a night ladies. I've got to get an early start so bedtime is calling.

    Stay well and keep smiling.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Good night FREDDIE.

CLAIRE...remember that Bella was clumsy too...make sure you dont stumble over a vampire!

    ReplyDelete
  79. @Super

I wouldn't mind stumbling across her vampire LOL

    ReplyDelete
  80. CLAIRE..Haha...me too! It would be my luck to get a bad ass vampire like the one Alexander Skarsgard plays on the series True Blood... Eric...dont know if you have access to those shows over there...

    ReplyDelete
  81. @Super

    Yes we do.

Skarsgard, Stephen Moyer, and the other guys from The Vampire Diaries, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder do absolutely nothing for me.

But I never seem to find guys who other women perceive to be hot, to be attractive.

Ryan Gosling is a prime example, I don't find him the slightest bit attractive, I find him irritating more than anything LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  82. CLAIRE...I think you know the vampire world far greater than I do so I will have to take your word on it:) I will have to check the vampire dairies out..I have never seen that show..Now I have to try to get some sleep so I will say good night..although it is morning there..I am hoping to NOT dream about bad vampires...Edward would be ok though!!!! TTYL and be careful...watch your step:)

  84. Mom’s Apple Pie
    By Paula Jones

    http://www.pauladeen.com/food_section_articles/view2/moms_apple_pie/

    Yield: 8 servings
    Ingredients:

    FILLING:
8 apples - peeled & sliced (half Granny Smith, half Macintosh)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter – chilled and sliced
    1 1/4 cup sugar
    1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
    1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
    3 tablespoons flour

    DOUGH:
2 1/2 cups All Purpose flour
    1 teaspoon sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
2 sticks of butter, cold & cubed
    1/4 - 1/2 cup ice water
Egg - lightly beaten for egg wash
    Cinnamon sugar for dusting
    Directions:
    Preheat oven to 400ºF
In a food processor combine the flour, salt, sugar and pulse. Add in the butter and slowly gradually add the ice water. Pulse until dough just comes together. Don’t overwork the dough or it will make a tough crust.

Remove the dough from processor. Cut into two equal sections. Pat sections into discs and wrap in plastic wrap and place into refrigerator. Chill for 1 hour. (can be frozen for future use)

In a small mixing bowl bowl, combine cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar & flour, set aside. In a large mixing bowl, add the peeled and sliced apples. Sprinkle spice and flour mixture over apples. Toss to coat.

Remove one chilled disc of dough from the refrigerator and roll out on a lightly floured surface, large enough to cover your pie pan. Shape to fit, cutting off any excess.

Pour apple mixture into pie pan and add your sliced butter to the top of the mixture. Remove second dough disk from refrigerator and roll out large enough to fit the top of your pie with an overhang. Place pie dough on top of apple mixture and crimp edges to seal. With a knife, add four slits to your piecrust. Lightly brush egg wash onto top of dough. Sprinkle liberally with cinnamon sugar.
Place onto a baking tray into preheated oven for approximately 50 minutes or until golden brown & bubbly. Allow pie to rest until cool before slicing. Refrigerate any uneaten portions.

I went through the Roseland Holiday & other recipe documents, that I have saved and did not find any Roselander's apple pie recipe. Sorry. Maybe someone does have a great one they know of, to post.

    Happy Tuesday Everybody!

  89. Good morning...

Dottie- If you got some pears from your neighbor here is a recipe I saw on the food network site when I was looking for something else. It says it is easy to make.

    http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/gingered-pear-preserves-recipe/index.html

Wishing you a less hectic week since the weekend wasn't so good to you.

Kenzz- Wasn't it your parents that had some issues with their house when Hurricane Irene passed by? How are things going with them?

Super- Good luck with the deck remodel. Hopefully you don't run into to many snags along the way.

Freddie- Have you found out anymore as to whether or not the person who you are filling in for is coming back? The waiting game would be driving me crazy by now.

DK- That recipe sounds yummy. I love fall for all the smells, tastes, and colors it evokes.

Claire- I knew there was another reason for liking you besides the fact you are very funny. I totally agree with you about every single man you mentioned in your comment at 9:26! Glad you are on the mend finally.

IB/Rhonda/Freddie- Thanks for sending happy thoughts my way. I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that it will be like this until the end of the year and then things will calm down once again work wise. But at least I have a job so I'm not going to complain too much....

The good news is I will be going on a vacation with the whole family to celebrate my mom's 60th in a couple of days. It will be a welcome respite.

My SIL just walked in with the kiddos so off I go. Have a beautiful day everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Kenzz,

As others have said, I too don't do well with pie crust. In my opinion Marie Callender's frozen pie crust is the best of the pre-made crusts. I just follow any apple pie recipe since they are all pretty similar. Then to avoid having to fiddle with the top crust I make a streusel topping and sprinkle that on the top. Easy as pie.

    Claire,

You have excellent taste in men. To that list of "don't get it" I'd have to add Russell Crowe and Garrett Hedlund and Ryan Reynolds. I'm sure they are lovely but not my type.

    ReplyDelete
  91. PL - I don't get it with those 3 either! I just want to punch Russell Crowe repeatedly!!

    ReplyDelete
  92. @PL and angelica

I agree on Ryan Reynolds and Garrett Hedlund, but I certainly wouldn't kick Russell Crowe out of bed. The sight of him wearing armor in Gladiator still does funny things to my lady bits. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  93. Claire,

You and your lady bits are welcome to Russell. Rest assured, I will not stand in your way.

    ReplyDelete
  94. @PL

    Who do you find attractive?

    Spill the beans!!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Claire - I'm with PL, Russell is all yours! I can't watch anything with him in, even a trailer makes me want to throw things at the screen.LOL I'm more of a Colin Firth girl :)

    ReplyDelete
  96. @angelica

Make sure you're don't throw a phone LOL

And yes, I agree on Mr Firth.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Claire,

I agree Colin Firth, George Clooney, as I said yesterday, Kyle Chandler, and then to take into account the younger guys there is a certain vampire.

    ReplyDelete
  98. @PL

George Clooney is another one who I find meh.

And on that 'certain vampire' you mention, I suppose he's okay ;D

    ReplyDelete
  99. Claire,

George is probably a little old for you. A long time ago there was a certain game of MFK and everyone wanted to marry George, no exceptions. It probably comes from the fact that he is definitely not the marrying kind as he has proven.

I just came in from the backyard. I need a hard hat to protect from all the acorns falling.
