Rob Wants To Hold Kristen's Hand

Ah yes.
Another day in the fantastic fandom.
More conspiracy theories...
More fake sightings.
More bullshit.

Can you see into the crystal ball?
Look closely.
Yes... we all see Rob was at Fallon's party.
Not sure how that is a 'blow' to anyone who believes
that Robert and Kristen are in a relationship...
But some people seem to think Rob drinking shots
with Jimmy is some sort of sign.

Or maybe its Rob doing shots with his friend.
Look again...
Rob is in LA.
It's funny how when Rob is with Kristen
It's ALL about work.
(And Summit controlled Christenings)
But as soon as they are separated...
Rob couldn't possibly be doing anything
remotely connected to his profession.
Of course not...
because then he would have had a reason
to leave London.
We can't have that...can we?

ANYWAY.
One of the things I get in my emails a lot is
about the whole handholding thing.
I happen to find it sweet and romantic.
But I get the people who screech that
"Kristen holds hands with EVERYone!!!"
Hmmm.
Well.
She has been seen holding hands with a few people in the past.
And like Rob...
She has been seen holding hands walking on stage...
Or in some sort of professional capacity.
Yes.
I agree.

Kristen has held other peoples hands in the past.
But lets talk about Robert... OK?
Who has Robert EVER been seen holding hands with
in the past?
I mean...
Not on stage... or photo shoots...
You know...
Just walking down a street.
Or perhaps on a Paris tarmac...
Maybe on an airplane?
Or even in his parents house on Christmas.
Hmmmm.
Let's see.

That would be Kristen...
And Kristen...

Oh... and Kristen.

Surprise! It's Kristen!

Guess who? Kristen!

And Kristen...

In between scenes Kristen!

Sneaky Kristen...

Out in the open Kristen!

Done with work Kristen...

Airplane Kristen
IOW Kristen

I want to take you backstage Kristen!

All of these hand-holding instances of
Robert and Kristen
were moments caught on camera
that weren't necessarily supposed to be seen...
You know?
And truly.
Show me Robert holding hands with anyone else
since he has been with Kristen.
Show me Robert holding hands with anyone else.
Period.
I even googled Robert Pattinson/Holding Hands
Just to see what it would show me.
Well.
It's ALWAYS Kristen.

Maybe you think the hand-holding doesn't mean
anything to Kristen because she has held other's hands in the past.
But you can't say the same about Robert.
Robert doesn't offer his hand to just anyone...
Oh no.
No.
Robert is serious about his hand-holding.
And very selective.
I would even go so far as to say...
That he reserves his hand-holding
for those he loves.
And the pictures have shown us...
That would be Kristen.

I wanna hold your hand...

So when does Robert go back to London?
Sooner.
Later?
Keep your eyes on the skies...
Let's hope for sooner.

This post is brought to you by my complete
love and adoration of Tom Sturridge.

Green Sheep?

Bye for now

  6. Rose,

    Really nice post.

Kay, I totally agree with you about loving the connection that they seem to have through the simple act of holding hands. It’s really lovely to see.

I hope everyone is having a good day. I’m just popping in quickly to say hello.

    Take care all.

  7. I can appreciate the emotion behind simple hand holding. I am not one comfortable with showing affection so holding hands in public can be an intimate thing to people who are reserved.

    dottie,

I bet that big reveal of mine was no surprise to you, lol.

  8. @PL

    Completely agree

I'm very uncomfortable showing major PDA in public.

Look at Rob's smile in that last picture :''')

  11. Great job Rose! I love hand holding, I think it says so much about a couple!

    Hello everyone!!!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Rose: Too sweet (although my favorite was Sneaky Kristen...lol)

Hand-holding is quite intimate, if done with that someone special... Kay, excellent observation of how they constantly reach out for the other... :)

  15. Rose,

    Sweet, sweet post....

I am a big fan of hand holding.

My grandparents were married 73 years, and they always held hands.

    @ Gwen,

    Happy belated birthday, girly-girl
hope you had a great one!

  16. CLAIRE....What day of the week should we BEG FOR??????

  17. I'm not shy about PDA. Couple drinks in me and I'll make out with you, him, or anyone else here. What I don't do is hold hands with randomers (my word) or anyone else I'm not pretty close with. It's kind of sweet...and not a little intimate. It had to have taken at least 5 or so dates before I was comfortable holding hands, fingers linked, with any of the guys I've dated.

Of course those were all PR relationships, so....

I'm heading to Vail tonight for a wedding weekend (not mine) so I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hi Everyone!

I'm not big on PDA but I do like to hold hands. I think it's quite an intimate thing to do actually.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't mind little kisses in public, and showing general affection. But I could never have a full on make out session in public OMG. I get really embarrassed when I see other couples doing it. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah Claire...I could say that, but enough drinks and a dark corner and I'd make a liar out of myself. It's not that we maul each other, but we will kiss.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Sydney- LOL, I love reading your comments. Have fun at the wedding!

Angelica- I agree, it's intimate and sweet :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Sydney... your comment was laugh-out-loud funny!!

Gwen: I guess I missed your b-day... Happy Belated!

Bren: 73 years? WOW! How wonderful...

Claire, I'm with you... I get embarrassed at PDA by others, too. It just seems to lack a certain level of classiness (although I'm sure it looks great on Sydney!!! haha)

    Have a great nite everyone...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hi Rose,

    Sweet post!!

I love all the hand holding pics...Robert and Kristen are really beautiful together!!

Take care and be happy everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Well, I have a theory. Once, in line at the airport, two of the homliest, pastiest, terribly unnattractiviest people in the free world were kissing rather passionately in front of me. While I was strangely happy for them, I was mostly disgusted. But then later...I saw two really hot people kissing and it was just sorta hot. I'm only hoping we fall into the latter.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Though I do agree it's pretty classless. Which is why I need to be a little intoxicated for it to happen.

Okay, really leaving now. Great weekend wishes!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sydney: I hope I didn't come across as judgmental as my "classless" comment now sounds as I re-read it! And I didn't say I haven't attacked my hubs in a dark bar after a few too many drinks... :) *wink wink*

    Have a great evening!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm just catching up and loving all the PDA revelations! I used to be mortified of PDA but now that I've been married a while it doesn't bother me as much. I still get embarrassed if the hubs is too frisky in public but hand holding is fine. I don't mind if other people do PDA though, so Sydney, GO FOR IT! LOL

PL, I can't say I was surprised by your confession. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Nice post today Rose. I totally agree with you, holding hands means something special to Robert, and he only holds hands with Kris. To me, this is very, very special, and this means LOVE, love for Kris. Take care everyone.

Have a great everyone and take care!

  30. I get embarrassed kissing in public when there's people around.

When there isn't people around? Lets just say we've done a LOT more than kiss. LOL

  31. very true indeed.. your blog is on my system now, everytime i open my pc i see to it that i visit your blog on a daily basis... i love how you see things.. thank you... keep on writing.. =)))

  32. I think the funniest thing I ever read was someone trying to justify that Rob wasn't holding Kristen's hand on the plane, that his hand was actually in his lap. It's funny how the hand assumed to be in his lap looks exactly like his knee covered in the same color pants as he was wearing. Because in fact his hand was actually resting on the arm rest at a 90 degree angle holding Kristen's hand.

    ReplyDelete
  33. You are all too funny!
When I see a couple holding hands,I know they have something special. It is such a sweet simple gesture that says they find comfort in one another.
    Bren and Gwen,
So good to see you two and there is still daylight! Happy Birthday Gwen and Bren(you too?)!
    Hello DK, wherever you are!
    PL,
Now don't you feel better. Those nuns did such a good job instilling that guilt in you and that is not always a bad thing.
Hope everyone is having or had a great day.

  34. this has got me really curious, i have never seen rob hold hands with anyone other than kristen, but i don't remember seeing kristen holding hands with anyone but rob. i'm sure i'm wrong. you guys know better than i do. i mean she seems to be very affectionate and i have seen her put her arm in taylor's arm, rest her head on both his and ryan reynolds shoulders. she's put her arm around jesse and eddye, and i've seen her hold hands with other girls, bit i really don't remember her holding hands with a guy

one thing i know i have never seen her look at anyone the way she looks at rob

  35. My dear Rose I can see Robert and Kristen holding hands when they are old and gray just like my nanna and papa do now how sweet You know how much Rob loves to touch his girl and the way Kristen always looking for a way to touch her man Let them talk that's all they have left they ALL KNOW THE TRUTH Love your post as always KEEP SMILING ROSE I AM :) DEB.

Airplane Kris is 1 of my faves too...
In the land of Isle Esme handholding, hand in shoulder (hi Montreal!), hugs and kissing cheeks are common. We're not the least embarrassed in touching our S/O; even kissing both cheeks when meeting a friend is normal...
    @Robert
Pls allow me to wish you a successful surgery and a prompt recovery.

And Robert, I must say me myself cant really remember of pics of Kristen holding hands with someone else (unless we are talking ancient history here...)... She seems more like a "hugs" person :)
and I'm sorry I am not sure what you are going through cause I couldn't catch up on previous posts but I wish you the best for your surgery!

  40. Unfortunately more and more people are staying with hardened heart... will be the technology or modern life? ( ok, I think in this case they are even evil ou envious)... when they see Robert and Kristen holding hands, they don´t believe to be this couple in love?... so sad ... because it is not only holding hands but the way the hands are held ... possessiveness loving, complicity in the act, as if bound by invisible ties that makes your hands are touching all the time ... can not help but be touched ... can not help but be looked... so are Rob and Kristen.

But only those with sensitive eyes and a heart "soft" can see that simple act... is love...( yes I'm a romantic woman)
But ... for some..."sad life, empty life, no romantic" hold hands means nothing or can mean just PR working ...

How sad and crazy that sounds?!?

PS: I hope see soon Tom holding hands with his true love... he deserve!

Great and sweet post Rose !

    DK, I missed your music...

    ReplyDelete
  41. I think some people miss the point whether intentionally or not. There's something almost indefinable about watching 2 people together and just knowing on some instinctive level that they're a couple. Even if they're in a group of friends and not touching or even necessarily next to each other, you can pick them out as a couple. Rob and Kristen have that with each other and only with each other.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Good AM Roseland!

TGIF! Wishing you all a great day!

Rob and Kristen holding hands is indeed a wonderful thing. I am just plain old happy for them.

BTW, Kristen looks abosolutely beautiful in the pic of them in the bar.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Muse - Thank you so much for the info about Adiemus.

Among the many Vanity Fair Dec. 2008 pics and video, there is a pic of Rob kneeling with Kristen reclining back against him and for a few moments he is holding her hands, his are open, palm up and hers palm down. When I see that I always think that in the middle of a photo shoot, with so many people around, they were miles away in their own special place.

    Have a wonderful Friday y'all.
    Hugs for everyone.
Hugs for Smitty, Gruff and Syd too.

  44. Good Day!
    Handholding! Love this post, Rose!

Haven't been home for a day or so, so didn't get time to post music or comment (that's having a life, right?)

Happy b-day Gwen & Bren (sorry to have missed you/it.)

Miss you all, too, and will be on later tonight.

Off shopping with daw to find a dress for a wedding she'll be attending tonight. Doesn't get more fun than shopping for dresses.

R & K, will carry on, as they always do, in loving, kindness and touching, imo.

    FYI:
The trailer for BD1 was shown with Moneyball. (wonderful performances by Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill)

I'll see Abduction tomorrow (and judge for myself) but the reviews have been brutal.

  47. I have a theory, rob is back in LA because of Bear, dogs need a special passport to enter to the UK, because is an island and it takes 6 months to get one. He has a responsability with his dog and can't leave him with someone else for more than a week, maybe it was the first time. But I think that if rob left the UK sep 14th they will see each again by oct 14th, a few days more or a few days less, so we have to wait and see, hihi
    Love your blog

  53. Evening All!

    @Muse
Thanks for the video/song. It was great to watch it, and I danced the Twist, while singing along with it, karaoke style. How lucky I was to experience The Beatles first hand, back when (45rpm records). Fond memories of them, still come back, even after so many years. :)

    @Annie
You are right, Abduction is holding its own. I watched the trailer, and plan on going to see it, to support Taylor.
Also, I like spy type films where someone thought they were someone, but were not.
The most interesting part to me, is that the character is a young man of 18? and not an experienced super spy, or is he?

    George Harrison-1981:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYIZUWefqas&feature=fvst

    I'm shouting all about love
While they treated you like a dog
    When you were the one
Who had made it so clear
    All those years ago

I'm talking all about how to give
They don't act with much honesty
    But you point the way
To the truth when you say
    All you need is love

    Living with good and bad
I always look up to you
Now we're left cold and sad
By someone the devil's best friend
    Someone who offended all

We're living in a bad dream
    They've forgotten all about mankind
    And you were the one
They backed up to the wall
    All those years ago

    You were the one
    Who imagined it all
    All those years ago

    Deep in the darkest night
I send out a prayer to you
Now in the world of light
Where the spirit free of the lies
And all else that we despised

    They've forgotten all about God
He's the only reason we exist
    Yet you were the one
That they said was so weird
    All those years ago

    You said it all
    Though not many had ears
    All those years ago
You had control of our smiles
    And our tears
    All those years ago

Well, baby and me went out late Saturday night
I had my hair piled high, my baby looked so right
Well, pick you up at ten, gotta have you home at two
Your mama don't know what I got in store for you
But that's all right ‘cause we're looking as cool as can be

Well, we found a little place that didn't look half bad

Well, put a quarter right into that can
But all that played was some disco, man!
Come on, baby, baby, let's get out of here right away

Well, there's a real square cat, he looks "1974"
Well, he looked at me once, he looked at me twice
Look at me again and there's gonna be fight
    We're gonna rock this town
We're gonna rip this place apart

    We're gonna rock this town
    Rock it inside out

And we can act like we did before.
    Well, baby,
    Come back, baby gone.
    Come back, baby gone.
    Come back, baby,
I wanna play house with you.

    Yeah.

    Now listen to me, baby
    Try to understand.
I'd rather see you dead, little girl,
Than to be with another man.
    Now baby,
    Come back, baby gone.
    Come back, baby gone.
Come back, baby, I wanna play house with you.

    Oh, baby baby baby.
Baby baby baby b-b-b-b-b-b baby baby baby.
    Baby baby baby.
Come back, baby, I wanna play house with you.

    Thank you/marcudobenny2

  62. @DK:
Funnily enough, for the first day of Autumn here the temperature hit the 80's.

If I may ask......what are some of your favourite Fall activities?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hi DK and ANNIE...

We had a wonderful dinner at the Outback with some friends...just was watching some of my Paul McCartney concert in NYC DVD at City Center(old Shea Stadium)...just finished Helter Skelter...love it!

DK..I see you are posting George Harrison..so we must be on the same wave length tonight.(that BEA TLES one)haha

Abduction is playing here...the movie is 1 hr 46 mins..it says Sigourney Weaver is also in the movie (thats good)..the premise is a "youth" (Taylor maybe?) discovers his parents arent his REAL parents and that "revelation" triggers a series of events that leave him running for his life... sounds good...I will try to see it this weekend:) I dont put alot of stock in "reviews"..I have told this story before about a Sandra Bullock movie that I almost didnt go to because the reviews were so bad, but I went and loved it..it was called The Proposal (Robs heart-throb Betty White was in it):)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Not sure how late I'll make it up until tonight. Dazzled my way through yesterday and today, so my dazzler is done gone away or perhaps, only astray (went that-a-way).

Shall return after some snacks and a brewski.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Hi Super!
Is that Outback steakhouse where you had dinner?

Speaking of Sir Paul........His ballet premiered here Thursday night:

    http://au.news.yahoo.com/world/a/-/world/10331479/paul-mccartneys-ballet-stumbles-with-critics/

    ---------------
The thing about Abduction was that it was not previewed for critics before opening and that is never a good sign.

There are many movies that the critics for whatever reason disliked and the public made them boxoffice hits anyway.
In the case of Abduction the critics have been beyond brutal.

  66. Say, look at these lovelies that are still here and just came on-Annie & Super!

I'm all set now with provolone and crackers/cold Heine. Heaven, in autumn, too.

    @Annie
    In the autumn:

I love to drive with all of the windows open, get lost, and discover new people, places, things, and then make it back home, just before dark, when the sun is setting.

Eating hot soup again, several days a week.

Trees entrance me with their leaves rustling in the cool wind, and I kick them as I walk, making whirlwinds.

Smelling bonfires or leaves being burned and being wherever that is happening.

(How much time do you have for me to go on?)
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    @Super
We are often on the same wavelength, especially about music, and probably movies, too. Sounds like you had a bang up evening.

  67. @Annie
Thanks so much for that link for Sir Paul's ballet. I just have to go to it right now and watch. Been waiting for this..

Ha, ha, I don't kick the trees while I walk, only the fallen leaves!

Love to visit people in the Fall, right before we get too crabby from too much cold, snow and ice around us, causing havoc. Might even drop in without notice, to surprise someone with chocolate or wine.

Put on a sweater or light jacket, and sit out on the porch, balcony, deck, etc. with coffee or tea, and with music playing softly in the background.

Talk on the phone for hours, to catch up with folks I haven't heard from for a long time. Time disappears, separation, too.

Wear warm fuzzy slippers all day, and socks to bed. Eat Fig Newtons, too.

(Off to get the Newtons from the pantry)

    Be back in 10.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Annie, or anyone else, care to share their favorite Autumn activities, too? Have at it..

More Heine will dull my mind-ey, for sure. Not sure, I'll write much more.

  71. @DK

This might sound really strange, but I love the wind that autumn brings.

It actually sends me to sleep. LOL

I could be sitting outside when it's really windy and I start falling asleep.

Even in the winter I have a HUGE fan on when I'm in bed because I can get to sleep quicker when it's on.

When I was little my mum had a vacuum cleaner that blew hot air out of the back. I used to follow her about and put my face in front of it and I'd nod off.

    Very strange eh?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Claire - Thank you! I thought I was the only lunatic who uses the noise of the fan to send me to sleep :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. CLAIRE..Good Morning(afternoon)! The leaves are falling and it would be great IF it werent raining..(it has rained every day here for a week, and will through Thursday of next week)..Thursday night hubs and I will go to the fair..we go every year to eat fries with vinegar and salt, a hot dog, and look at the chickens, cows, pigs, horses, bunny rabbits and ride the ferris wheel:)

ANNIE...Thanks for the link to the ballet...how exciting! and yes it was the Outback Steak House. They have just completely renovated it inside and out...it looks fantastic...feels so much larger in there. I dont know how they did that:)

DK...I love to walk outside in the morning and feel that cool breeze that signals fall is on the way...summer is soooo HOT down here that the first "cool" breeze feels like a miracle!

    Have a great day everybody!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Autumn, unfortunately, does not really visit my part of the country. I do miss the following:

Beautiful, amazing, brilliant fall foilage.....taking long drives and walks to enjoy the fall color.
Hearing the crunch of dried leaves underfoot or having damp, sticky leaves cling to my shoes as I walk. Visiting the cider mill and having a big glass of cold, cloudy, freshly pressed cider, or a mug of hot spicy cider with a cinnamon stick. Warm, melt in your mouth cinnamon sugar doughnuts served with the cider at the the mill. Visiting a pumpkin patch or a roadside truck farm to pick out some pumpkins and gourds. Stopping at a farm house that has a "bittersweet for sale" sign to purchase a dozen branches or so. Going to outdoor country auctions, antique sales, and garage sales with friends on the weekend and including time for lunch in some new, interesting cafe, inn or diner. Sitting outdoors and soaking in the warmth on a beautiful Indian Summer day. Taking that last boat ride on the lake before it gets too cold. Seeing the fog in the mornings. Wearing wool sweaters in the morning and having to peel them off by afternoon. Drinking hot chocolate. Eating lots of soups, stews, and yummy, spicy curry dishes.

So, dear Roselanders who are experiencing the beginning of Autumn, enjoy! I am a bit jealous, but at least here it is a tiny bit cooler and thinking ahead, no blizzards are in the long range forecast.

    Have a lovely Saturday.
Wishing good things for Taylor. Hope his movie does well.
    Hugs for y'all.
    Life is good.

  75. @angelica

Seriously, noise sends me to sleep quicker. Although I think my electricity bill would be a lot less if I didn't have a fan on at night.

    @Super

That sounds like a nice time. I love fries with lots of salt and vinegar on them.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Ahhh, Roselanders, what beautifully described visions of Autumn! It truly is my favorite time of year, with a roaring fire in the fireplace, a homemade French onion soup simmering on the stove, comfy slippers (I'm with ya, DK!), an engrossing book or suspenseful movie, and a glass of red at my fingertips.

We're heading out soon to visit a Fall Harvest Festival. Lots of free food samples, pumpkin decorating, hayrides, a cooking contest, and an actual cranberry bog harvest...Good clean fun, that's what it is!! :)

Good thoughts continue to be sent along to Robert for his surgery...

My best to you all, especially Rose, DK, Super, Annie, Freddie, 30, Claire, angelica, Groovie, dottie, PL, Sydney, Birdie, olivia, Fio, Rhonda, all the other regs, and of course Smitty, Gruff, and Syd.

  77. @annie.

i have been reading some of the Reviews, and while the movie might have a bad script or be badly directed. I think that some of the reviews are prejudiced because of Taylor's connection with Twilight. just like some critics have been harsh on Rob with Remember Me and Water for Elephants.

  79. Fall is my favorite time of year too. Cool, crisp mornings and warm afternoons. I live close to the mountains, and once the leaves begin to change it's really beautiful.

Hi to everyone. I hope it's a great weekend. Lots of love :)

    ReplyDelete
  80. where to start,

fio, thank you for your kind words and in answer to your question:
i have parkinsons disease; i've had it for 13 years now and i will not bore everyone with the details, but let's just say it destroys your quality of life.

there is a procedure called "deep brain stimulation" which involves drilling a hole in your head, sticking a tube into your brain and sending electrical impulses to that part of it which has stopped working. [did i mention you are awake for the entire procedure?] then a week later, they place a pacemaker in there, run wires from the pacemaker to a magnet which has been placed under your collarbone. then they give you a second magnet, which you use to control the amount of juice going to the pacemaker

they say most of the patients who undergo the surgery regain about 90% of their normal capabilities, but here is my list of concerns

    1. you just know i'm going to lose the magnet, hell, i can never remember where i left my keys.

    2. my friends. i am the lead singer in a band. when my friends found out i had PD, they suggested we change the name of the band to "shakyhead and the boys" and now they want me to change it to "magnethead"

    3. the whole drilling a hole in your head thing

of course i asked the doctor if i would be able to play basketball when this was all over and she said yes; i asked her if i would be able to play the violin and she goes "can you play it now?" i said "no" and she goes "well then no".... not her first rodeo

DK, kenzz, rhonda, super, claire, and all the rest of you that i am leaving out: thanks so much for your support. i go in for pre op this coming friday and i will keep everyone posted

now, i just have to say this happy couple [rk] continue to impress me more and more each day. i love how supportive they are of each other, and how fiercely loyal they are to their friends. i fear that taylor is about to go through a very tough time, because i think he had a lot riding on "abduction" and i think it may be a huge let down.

but here is what i know for certain: he will survive this and he will go on to be a big star and rob and kris will be cheering him on every step of the way

    yeah, awake....during the surgery

    love
    robert

  81. Hi gang!

Add me to the list of Fall lovers. And Winter, too. It's such a cozy time of year. This will be our first fall/winter in this small town. Yesterday while I was out and about I overheard some people discussing the plans for the town's Christmas tree lighting and festivities. I got excited. So quaint!

Robert, You have the best attitude! That is what will see you through your procedure. It sounds like you have a great support system. We will all be looking forward to a great outcome for you.

Hope everyone is enjoying the week end. :)

  82. @Robert

    Well said.

And I hope everything is going to plan for you. :)

  83. I normally prefer summer but for some reason I'm loving autumn this year, it's really crisp and sunny at the moment, normally it's just wet and windy.

Claire - we've been sat down on the quayside all afternoon, drinking cider :)

Robert, I'm sure everything will go really well for you. A positive attitude goes a long way :)

    ReplyDelete
  84. @angelica

I can't drink cider, it brings back too many bad memories from when I was a teen (£1 for a litre LOL), not to mention the taste.

We were so stupid when it came to alcohol. We would do something called 'shotgunning' with a litre of cider, you drink the neck of the bottle, turn the bottle horizontal and then burn a small hole in it. You then proceed to down the whole bottle of cider, squeezing air into the hole whilst doing it.

It got us drunk very quickly but looking back it was a very silly thing to do.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Angelica and Claire,

I'm assuming you two are talking about the cider that we would refer to as hard cider. While visiting your beautiful country I discovered your cider at the pubs and quite enjoyed it though it gave me wicked hiccups.

Most people in the states mean apple cider when they refer to having cider in the fall. Unfortunately, it is non-alcoholic but can cause some gastro intestinal distress if drank in large quantities. I think I would prefer the hiccups.

    ReplyDelete
  86. PL - Yes, I've been drinking Magners which is Irish cider. It's most definitely alcoholic :)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Angelica,

    Angelica,

I have looked all over around here for the cider I had at the pubs at Oxford. It was called Rosie something or other and I can't find it. I'm not much of a beer drinker so they would always order cider for me.

Apple cider is cloudy and brown and depending on the apples used it can vary in tartness. Some people like it warm with spices. It isn't a favorite of mine but it is associated with autumn for a lot of people.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Angelica - I didn't mean to say your name twice. I wasn't trying to make a point or something, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  89. PL - LOL! I'm used to people saying my name twice - usually while shaking their head sadly!

Do you mean Westons Old Rosie? I've had that in Oxford

    ReplyDelete
  90. Robert- I always tell my patients, attitude is everything..and you've got a great one. Keep us posted :)

    Angelica- I want what you're drinking ;)

    ReplyDelete
  91. ROBERT...Well, look at it this way...we already have many holes in our head..whats one more really:)

All joking aside, I am excited for all the wonderful things you will be able to do after your surgery and being in anesthesia myself, I can say with absolute certainty that your anesthesia team will make sure you are comfortable..we have many wonderful drugs..hint..hint!!!!

ANGELICA..Haha..Im glad we all lived through our teen years...it is quite an accomplishment!

Hi PL..I hope you are enjoying your cream:)

    ReplyDelete
  92. Angelica,

That does sound like the name of it. It's good isn't it?

    Super,

When you mentioned cream, I had to stop and think what you were talking about, lol.

It is Boots #7 Protect and Perfect and it is great stuff so yes, I am enjoying it without an ounce of guilt.

    ReplyDelete
  93. PL..Haha..I like that name.

Hi RHONDA...Hope you are having a relaxing afternoon:)

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hi Super, PL, Angelica & Claire..

I'm having a great day, thanks. Getting ready for a family get together :)

    ReplyDelete
  95. Super -I'm afraid my "teens" carried on into my 30's :)

PL - Yes, it's very good!

    Hi Rhonda!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Rose, I never thought about it,but your totally right. I have never seen a picture of Rob holding hands with anyone other than Kristen. Some people will never believe that their together and their happy, but a pictures worth a thousand words.lol thanks Rose.
