And the questions that they chose to use?

And imagine the mind numbing stupor that
Rob/Kristen/Taylor must endure day after day
of the same inane questions.

Yeah...
So of course it was because of the English boyfriend thing

It wasn't.
And how did Rob respond to all this?
I don't think he heard it.
He seemed to be looking over at Kristen (of course he was)
and Taylor and trying to figure out what was going on.
I imagine it isn't easy to hear among the screeching.
I imagine he was probably grateful he couldn't hear
most of what was being screamed at him.

ReplyDeleteIt's so true the questions at that twi-con where so crap and some of the audience where complete low lives, I really noticed how Rob sort of zoned out of the whole thing after the "closet" comment. They really should not be subjected to this kind of thing. Whoever runs this event really needs to fix it before next year, cos I would hate for them to have to go through that again.

ReplyDeleteTwicon is the perfect example of why I don't attend these things, being in So Cal and so close. Can't stand the loonie fringe on either end. I've watched the video of K's finger gun pointed at her head. Even without the 2nd taunt, I get it. They're stuck in front of screaming rude people, she's made it clear she doesn't want her personal life to be entertainment fodder. No kidding she hates it!!!! Desperado - come to your senses!!!!

ReplyDeleteYou're so right about how some don't have the imagination for answers. I mean, why can't they can ask for example, Rob's thoughts on the whole process of thinking he's going to lose Bella. Why can't they ask did he agree with Edward being angry with Bella, and then why if yes or no?
I think it was nice he left Kristen to do the talking. Some people over on Robsessed complained a little that Kristen was talking more. Or actually I think that was in reflection of the MTV First. But I think she's got a voice to use, and she's permitted to share her opinion regardless of if she stumbles. And I kind of think Rob wants to hear her talk. I think when he does answer questions he probably wants more of a reaction out of Kristen.
Lol there's no hope for Rob. He won't hear anything of the sort. He's too busy observing Kristen. I was so annoyed with that comment but thank god the anger hasn't come out at the remembrance of what was shouted out. I'm not sure if even the audience understood, but they applauded Kristen for her response.
From her response to being called "prude" and defending Rob who again didn't know what was said about the "closet" insult, I'm pretty sure she does definitely hold her own.

Also, when he is answering questions he seems to always be looking for her reaction to what he is saying. It's very sweet and so obvious how much they adore each other. I hope the rest of their promo duties go off w/o a hitch and look forward to what happens next.

Rob & Kristen did amazingly well and as Rose says, looked very happy & wonderful. So good for them!

ReplyDeleteTwi-con was absolutely cringeworthy, I just zoned out and enjoyed watching Rob and Kristen's interaction instead,they're far more entertaining. They just look really content of late and totally at peace in eacjh others company. It's lovely to watch.
As for the loopy conspiracy theorists, well, they might want to realise people are laughing at them not with them, their collective lifts are stopping more than a few floors short. Taco the dog indeed......

I've been away for a couple of days so I'm just catching up.
OMFG that Cosmopolis stuff that came out last night. Although we couldn't really see anything (apart from Robert's forehead LOL), it looks like it's going to be FUCKING AMAZING.
Seeing that footage was great, but what made my night was watching the panel with David, Paul Giamatti, and Sarah Gadon, and listening to them gushing over how good Rob is in the movie.
Given Cronenberg's words last night he is firmly in Rob's corner, and I fucking love that he watched Little Ashes (Rob's best performance IMO) and that was a factor in him choosing Rob to play Eric.
Hello everyone! Rose this has got to be one of your best posts yet! Twi-con was painful to watch, there were some memorable funny moments. The damn audiences average age sounded about 14. I am with you,they should just skip it next year. So looking forward to the premier and Ellen's deal...by now if you have seen one press interview you have seen them all. ReplyDeleteThat Twicon thing was such crap. I kept thinking something was wrong. They both seemed highly annoyed and put off by something. So much so I had to go back and watch at what point the attitudes changed. I saw for her when the idiots in the audience laughed about her saying she kept wanting to push it further in the birth scene. She sort of just dropped the mic and was sort of done at that point. I would be too if you are trying to come up with an honest answer and the idiots listening are laughing at it. Then with Rob after that whole, in the closet comment, he just shut the rest out. I think highly of them as it is but after that disaster, I think the world of them. Sitting through that crap must have been very hard.
I have to say this, I have laughed a ton at Taylor's interviews. He's a really funny, cute guy. I think people get too tangled up in the Jacob character and forget that Taylor is a different person.

I agree with everyone... the twi-con was a huge disappointment. The moderators... the questions... the audience... the screaming... sooo embarassing! They ruined the experience for them... and for us.
To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed with the promo in general, always the same silly questions, over and over again... What a lack of creativity and imagination!
And I don't get the decision to put them doing everything separately. No joint photoshoots, no joint press conference, no joint interviews (except Josh's... See? That was fun! A bit short but fun.)... It would be much more interesting and fun to watch if they were interviewed together (probably for them too!). I know that we had a lot of joint press conferences/fan events in the first week of promo, but that was with Ashley, not Kristen, sooo...
(I'm going to shut up now!)
What I really liked? The hand/foot print ceremony, I loved it! Soooo proud of them! Rob gorgeous as always and Kristen absolutely stunning in that dress (I love the Snow White hair!), both super cute and happy :) And touchy, lol. Tay looked cute too.
I'm also loving R&K being "so obvious" about their relationship... without saying a word! I loved the matching shirts, lol.
PR Bear... really??? LMAO! What to expect from people that are still insisting that Rob and Kristen are not together? Scary people, lol!

I enjoyed parts of the twicon, but was sad to how rude some of the people in the audience were. I just don’t understand why you will go to one fan event to then shout something insulting to them. It really sadness me how mean people can be and I hate that Rob and Kristen have to be subjected to these kind of things.
but despite this negative stuff...I love how happy Rob and Kristen look, and that make me happy.
Claire, I got teary listening to Cronenberg and PaulGgo praising Rob...especially Cronenberg. Such wonderful praises. I’m extremely proud and happy of Rob. And can’t wait to see Cosmopolis. I think it going to be amazing!!

ReplyDeleteGreat post, as usual. I ALWAYS read but don't always get to comment. I really got a "chuckle" out of the Bear thing, lol, The Bear That Knew Too Much. Anyway, could R & K look any happier? Kristen looks absolutely beautiful and SO HAPPY!!! Whether it's because "they're" together & happy or that she's happy to be doing SWATH or whatever, who knows? I think it's probably a combination and she's admitted in a couple of interviews, that she's more comfortable in her own skin. She's still adorably awkward as he is, it makes them so loveable.
I agree, that interview was crap. I was kinda surprised how much screaming there was, it has to get really old. I love that Rob brought up them being married. That's gotta be a knife to the heart of alot of the haters out there...ooo that's gotta hurt lol. Great post Rose.

ReplyDeleteEven Bear is catching hell from those crazy ass people. I'm curious as to just how protective he is of Rob/kris? Or is he just that happy go lucky kinda dog??? It seems to me that he is loved by everyone he meets. Whether Kristen didn't have the heart to leave him that night or if she would have just preferred spending her evening cuddling up with Rob/Bear...she still brought him for a ride to the Jimmy Kimmel Show and Jay Leno too I think. It's not easy toting a dog to public places, but Kristen did with the help of John/Papastew and of course Rob was somewhere around too...I'll never believe he stayed behind!!!

ReplyDelete"Clinically insane", that's what they are,well they are clinically something... The very sad thing is I think those had to be adults shouting out the shit. Teens may be a bit to "screamy" but they do look up to these three. They would not disrespect. No, that would take some very classless,pathetic adults. Man, this crazy is getting old. Bear is not Bear? Who dreams up this stuff and isn't embarrassed to say it out loud. I think these women need to do a serious reality check.

I don't know how these three do these interviews with such grace and humor. I believe that is called being professional(and patient). They have all done a fantastic job. Rob and Kristen, what can I say...I love these two. I'm hoping they have some well-earned downtime when this promo and SWATH are done.
I am fairly new to your blog, but I felt a connection right away. No one out there seems to be saying out loud what I was thinking on these topics! I would think that the idiots that populate twi-con stuff would be fans enough to have some basic information. HOW many interviews has Rob said he hated the contacts? Wanted to have a ceremony where he burned them at the end? Just one example of rampant vacuous stupidity. Love what you do here.

Agree with so many of you, LA Twi Con needs to be skipped next year unless they revamp the ground rules and have a standard of acceptable behavior in place that the attendees will be aware of and told to follow during the panel discussions. Please make sure to have capable and experienced MCs with sensible, interesting and new questions, that are avenues to thoughtful, different and insightful answers

Thanks for this post. I love Rob and Kristen and the hateful comments seem to get more and more outrageous....so weird. I imagine 5 crazy bitter(but why?) people, posting nonstop on every blog they can find. "Kristen's going bald!" It doesn't take a hair dresser to see that the girl has blond hair outgrowth and a hair weave that pulls. Never saw it on the big screen and I have to say, for BD1/2, I won't miss it on one.
Kristen, Rob and Taylor were excellent, in my opinion, and I felt they were even more-let's say perfect. Thank you all, and Chris Weitz.
When I went out afterward to have a bite to eat, I met a young man who had Robert Pattinson eyes, and told him so. Believe me, I drank my fill, looking into them.
He saw Twilight, he told me, but is now going to look Rob up again, to see what I did. What a fun night.
Three shows are already sold out for BD1, and I'm waiting for the last one to be scheduled. Then, I can slip in before midnight, and find a good seat. Wish me luck, as I do you.
Not posting music tonight (sorry Wania) for I went a little wild with it last night.
I'm off to see the Wizard for a while, we're dating.
DC...The FRINGE is in a FRENZY because they see a couple so HAPPY TOGETHER and SO SUCCESSFUL and they can't stand it. R&K have acheived a level of success they will never have. They want to break that down because it makes them feel better about themselves. Its called insecurity.
ReplyDeleteHi Super! Well things are a bit crazy right now. I am going threw some health stuff, yes related too tanning. I just had a biopsy done on my lower lip because of a brown "freckle"(I have had for 3 years with no change in size or pain)
ReplyDeleteThe Doc said he thinks that it is a freckle. but it was dark so too be sure he took it a biopsy of it actually took the hole think off. I am in a lot of pain right now and look like I was bashed in the face.
As for the rest of my life. I am well, still with my man. Long distance is NOT easy that I will say especially when we are not rich with money but when too people love each other anything is possible. Just like with Rob and Kristen.
