Where Rob Goes... Kristen Will Be.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
I really don't want to dwell on negative stuff this weekend...
You know
Being Christmas and all.
And I know not everyone celebrates the holidays
or they do it in their own way...
So I just wanted to wish everyone
a warm, loving and wonderful Holiday.
Whatever you do.
I hope you happy and smiling doing it.

So a couple of thoughts...

1. An actual sighting of Kristen.
One we know to be true.
Not made up.
Not fake.
No agenda.
Kristen hanging out at Norman's Rare Guitars...
One of Robert's favorite places.
Buying stuff.
You know...
For the guitar player in her life.
I like Norman.
I wish Norman would hire me.

2. Robert was seen at LAX.
Lo and behold
I guess he was in LA the whole time?
Hmmm.
And we STILL haven't seen hide nor hair of the boy
And I'm imagining a lot of hair right now.
Heh.
Kinda amusing.
But again...
I'm liking that Rob and to a lesser degree Kristen
have managed to stay out of sight.

I like it a lot.
Tons.
People seem to think that just because we don't see them
they somehow cease to exist.
Like the whole time Rob and Kristen spent together in LA
is somehow null and void because Rob was spotted at LAX.
(Just like the whole time they were together in London)
Where do you think he was dear hearts?
Really?
And such an uproar over the possibility of him going to London
Alone.
He's never alone for long, is he?
So what if he flies over a few days ahead of Kristen?
He's done it before.
Big deal.
It's really too bad Rob and Kristen didn't get
your stamp of approval on how they spend their holidays.
If they left together...
Kristen would be a clingy famewhore who doesn't have any friends
and doesn't care about being with her family...
If Kristen doesn't go with Rob
then of course...
Rob doesn't care to spend Christmas with her
Its not important enough for either of them to bother.
So there you go.
Now everyone will be on the edge of their seats...
Waiting to see if Rob truly does show up in London
and when Kristen will follow.

Will they ring in New Years together?
Will there be an IOW3?
Did IOW2 ever really happen or was it all staged?
Who shot JFK?
Was Tom on the grassy knoll?
Will some young fan get pics of our sweet couple
out and about on Boxing day?
Did we really land on the moon?
Where's Bear?
Only time will tell...

I say this...
Wherever Rob goes... Kristen will be.

3. Bel Ami.
Well... Holy Hell.
We get to see smexy greasy, angry Rob.
And he IS kinda greasy, isn't he?
Kinda reminds you of the early Robert days...
Being all wrinkled and unkempt...
Charming and adorkable.

Bel Ami looks wonderful.
Delicious.
Now that is something to be on the edge of you chair for.
Right?

4. RobStenation is a wonderful blog.
Run by a wonderful girl.
She's sweet and kind and tries to stay away from the drama...
If you are looking for all things Robert and Kristen?
RobStenation is the place to go.
So recently they have been putting together these amazing posts
Looking back on Rob and Kristen's 2011.
So much fun to go back thru all the wonderful Rob/Kris moments
She has put up 3 parts so far...

If you haven't read these posts...
What are you waiting for?
Get on it!
It's nice to see the positive sweet Rob/Kris moments...
Makes you feel all warm and smiley inside.
Thanks S (love you!)
5. Thomas Sidney Jerome Sturridge.
I like the hat.
Very festive.
I kinda liked the rabbit mask better...
But you can never go wrong with a picture of Tom.
Never.
Ever.

Three.
Six.
Seven.

This post is brought to you by Merry, Joy and Happy.
I hope you find them all this holiday season

Everything is done on the home front finally and now I can relax waiting for the out of town family to show up in a couple of hours.

Life is good. May we all have a joyous end to 2011!

  7. Merry Christmas, Rose and all the Roseland regs!

I went out to do a bit of last minute shopping today. Now I'm finished and hopefully can hibernate until Christmas Day.

  8. Wishing an early Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to Rose and all Roselanders and any visitors who may pass by.

Here is a link for kids of all ages. This site is run by 2 Hope College students who wanted to give a little joy. They purchased 2 reindeer from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and have a webcam set up so they can be watched 24/7. Twice a day one of the young men dresses as Santa and feeds the reindeer and checks Santa's mail. The site does get a little bogged down at feeding time but have patience and check it out.

  14. I am 2 days late to publicly say how wonderfully incredibly brilliant you are Rose. You are the kindest person I've ever known and I hope you know how I adore you. I've done so many horrible things but I must have done one thing right to have fate bring you into my life. Back, forth, above below and around, I adore every nook and cranny of every thought you have. More. 367 no arguing.

  27. Good Morning Rose and Roseland!
    Happy Christmas Eve everyone! <3

Syd- glad you stopped by to say the kindest words to Rose!

I haven't had even time to breathe lately, just wanted to leave an Italian (neapolitan specifically) recipe. Christmas is basically here already but this can be done during all the christmas period anyway so...

    Struffoli Recipe:

    Ingredients:

    ** For the dough **
    3 1/3 cups (400 g) flour
    4 eggs
    1 teaspoon grain alcohol
A chunk of butter the size of a small walnut
    1 tablespoon sugar
The zest of a half a lemon, grated
The zest of half an orange, grated
    1 pinch salt
1 pot full of olive oil for frying
** For the seasoning (for want of a better term) **
    3/4 pound (300 g) honey
    3/4 cup (150 g) sugar
    1/3 cup water
2 ounces diavolilli (tiny, variously colored candied almonds)
    4 candied cherries, halved
2 ounces (50 g) candied orange peel, half finely diced and half cut into fine strips
2 ounces (50 g) candied citron, half finely diced and half cut into fine strips
2 ounces (50 g) candied melon rind, half finely diced and half cut into fine strips

    Preparation:

Combine the ingredients for the dough to make a workable dough, knead it well, and let it sit for at least an hour, covered. Pluck off piece and roll them out under your fingers to form snakes about as thin as your pinkie, and cut them into quarter-inch long pieces. Fry the pieces a few at a time in hot oil until brown, and drain them on absorbent paper. Should the oil start to froth after a bit, and the froth overflow the pot, change the oil.

Take a second, preferably round-bottomed pot and put the honey, sugar and water in it. Boil the mixture until the foam dies down and it begins to turn yellow. At this point reduce the heat as much as possible and add the struffoli and the diced candied fruit. Stir to distribute everything evenly through the honey and turn the mixture out onto a plate. Shape the mixture into a wreath with a hole in the middle, dipping your hands frequently into cold water lest you burn yourself.

Sprinkle the candied fruit strips and the diavolilli over the ring and arrange the cherry halves evenly. Struffoli will keep a week or more if covered, and improves with age.

These little, ball shaped cookies are a holiday favorite for many Italian families. They are sticky but delicious.

that's how they should look like lol

  46. How Can I Keep From Singing?

    Pete Seeger:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXXO113ILV8

My life flows on in endless song
    Above earth's lamentation.
I hear the real, thought far off hymn
    That hails the new creation
Above the tumult and the strife,
    I hear the music ringing;
It sounds an echo in my soul
How can I keep from singing?

What through the tempest loudly roars,
I hear the truth, it live'th.
What through the darkness round me close,
Songs in the night it give'th.

No storm can shake my inmost calm
While to that rock I'm clinging.
Since love is lord of Heaven and earth
How can I keep from singing?

When tyrants tremble, sick with fear,
    And hear their death-knell ringing,
When friends rejoice both far and near,
How can I keep from singing?

In prison cell and dungeon vile
Our thoughts to them are winging.
When friends by shame are undefiled,
How can I keep from singing?

    Thank you/fernandoalonsozabalo

  47. The Spirit Carries On

    Dream Theater:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfMyeyFYEvA&feature=related

    Where did we come from,
    Why all here?
Where do we go when we die?
    What lies beyond
    And what lay before?
    Is anything certain in life?

They say, "Life is too short,"
    "The here and the now"
And "You're only given one shot"
    But could there be more,
    Have I lived before,
Or could this be all that we've got?

    If I die tomorrow
    I'd be all right
    Because I believe
    That after we're gone
    The spirit carries on

I used to be frightened of dying
I used to think death was the end
    But that was before
    I'm not scared anymore
I know that my soul will transcend

I may never find all the answers
    I may never understand why
    I may never prove
What I know to be true
But I know that I still have to try

    If I die tomorrow
    I'd be all right
    Because I believe
    That after we're gone
    The spirit carries on

    "Move on, be brave
    Don't weep at my grave
Because I am no longer here
    But please never let
    Your memory of me disappear"

Safe in the light that surrounds me
Free of the fear and the pain
    My questioning mind
    Has helped me to find
The meaning in my life again

    Victoria's real
    I finally feel
At peace with the girl in my dreams
    And now that I'm here
    It's perfectly clear
I found out what all of this means

    If I die tomorrow
    I'd be all right
    Because I believe
    That after we're gone
    The spirit carries on

    Thank you/vairusmannaro

When the bells all ring and the horns all blow
And the couples we know are fondly kissing.
Will I be with you or will I be among the missing?

Maybe it's much too early in the game
Ooh, but I thought I'd ask you just the same
What are you doing New Year's
    New Year's eve?

Wonder whose arms will hold you good and tight
When it's exactly twelve o'clock that night
    Welcoming in the New Year
    New Year's eve

    Maybe I'm crazy to suppose
I'd ever be the one you chose
    Out of a thousand invitations
    You received

Ooh, but in case I stand one little chance
Here comes the jackpot question in advance:
What are you doing New Year's

I can feel it in the way
    Read it in the signs
Catch it on the warmest breeze

And watch it come from above
And wait a little bit longer
    What will be will be

    Out here in the country
Sky and water both clean and clear
Rub a dubbin in the jungle
    Say we feel so nice
    Wanna stay right here

Cooking dinner in a big black pot
With an open fire and a smoky haze
Congregating in a big open circle
Cause we pass round the chalice
    May we give jah praise

Playing music 'til the early morning
Cause it raise I man to a higher place
A cup of mate just to keep I warm
And a little bit of honey
Puts a smile on my face

Stars above will be shining bright
In a pale moon coming down on you
    Come the morning
    Feel the open ocean
    Set these wheels in motion
    We've got work to do

I can feel it in the way
    Read it in the signs

Happens that I wrote and shared my NYE stories here on Roseland last year! Got very silly, flirted, exaggerated, kissed and dissed, while bar hopping with my Sis and Bff. It was golden..Molson Golden, mostly.

Yet, I would agree, that many of my memories haven't stood the test of time, due to much consumption of wines divine, beer so dear.

Why I even thought I'd be at the IOW buying a NYE toast for R/K and the gang this year!
(It's not too late, call me R/K, for I still happen to be free at this time for NYE!)

    Lovely to see you.

Carefully cut the wire and wait
Life is a series of narrow escapes

    A chain reaction
A loose thread that we must pull

    The birth of religion
In the challenge of the unknown

    But all desperation
Leads to a fork in the road
    We live for understanding
    Or for control

    So very carefully
We'll cut the wire and wait

    With one eye closed
    We'll draw back
Catch our breath and let go...
Time is the string in between
    The arrow and the bow

If there's one thing we've learned
    As our pulse returns
    Timing is everything

If life is a series of narrow escapes
    We're shifting our weight
    In this tightrope ballet
    We're down to the wire

    Thank you/sleepingatlast1

  59. @Dreamerkind, I also blub like a baby watching that show too!!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I am now trying to talk myself into going to the gym this morning to work off a few of the extra calories I have consumed over this last few days!!!

  60. Well, I'm down to the wire in several ways but for tonight, I mean sleep.

    @Birdie
I'll be thinking of you having your morning coffee and wish you a good day!

I knew I wasn't alone in doing it, so thanks. Skip the gym now and make it a New Year's resolution.

I am still up, so I did some exercises instead of going to the gym. You gave me some inspiration, perhaps just enough. Now to bed, a little hungry since I worked off some calories..

    @angelica
    Me, too!

  65. Just wanted to say Hi to everyone! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and are looking forward to ringing in another new year! I have to say my family and I had a great holiday weekend followed by a great win for our Saints!!! My girls were so excited xmas morning, Santa was very good to them this year and a lil sad that Friendly Henry, our elf on shelf left us til next year! The things you do for your children!

I especially hope our favorite movie stars are having Happy Holidays as well. We love and adore you Rob & Kristen. Her dad looks so happy in the pic to have her home back in LA. I would suffice to say I bet their parents often find themselves worrying about them at times. Like Rose said, I hope we get one fan pic of them together out and about celebrating a new year together!

    Have a great week everyone!

  66. Morning all,

Just peeking in quickly to say hello. I hope everyone enjoyed a nice weekend, and had a wonderful Christmas..

Hi DK- It's hard to believe another new year is upon us, but it is. I'm sure whatever plans you come up with will be fun. I look forward to hearing the stories afterwards ;)

Hi Angelica, Birdie, Ali mac, Anna, and anyone else around this morning. I'm back to work after some time off...not really feeling it this morning.

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday. Hope to chat soon. Lots of love..

  67. Hello! Just popping in to see if everyone is surviving the holidays.

My husband and sons left this morning for a few days of "man time" in the mountains of TN. I get the house all to myself! WOOT!!

DK, We've made no plans yet, but I know YOU will do something festive to ring in the New Year.

Have a great day everyone -- especially those who are heading back to work after the long holiday week end. Hugs!

  68. I never made it to the gym today, but I am going first thing in the morning. If I don't do it first thing I find to many other things to do instead!

I'm looking forward to an evening in the house and just watching a bit of t.v. As great as it is seeing everyone at Christmas, you really need a dose of normality by this stage :)

  69. ali - I haven't been to the gym for months. And it shows. lol

  70. Claire I was given a free month at Curves (I think you have it in the mainland too) and I really like it, which surprised me as I was never big in to exercise!! So I'm thinking of joining now, just have to see if I have enough money left after Christmas LOL
