How sweet (and rather unimaginative) of you to think of me when

And besides... I adore Kristen as well

And its what hits me at the moment.
And let's face it
Kristen gets hit with way more bullshit than Robert.
And for some reason...
I feel she needs my defending more than

Watching some old classic movie
and eating something delicious that Kristen made.

Great weekend for those of us in New England with the Patriots win...it wasn't pretty, but a win is a win, I guess. Looking forward to meeting the Giants again in two weeks!
I've been so preoccupied that I've just had a chance to read Rose's blog and all your accompanying comments from the weekend. I hate to see Smitty angry, but have to admit that a fired-up Smitty is a sight to behold, indeed! lol
So heartwarming to see how friends like Smitty & Syd & Rose are constant in their loyal protectiveness of each other. Smitty and Syd are so generous with reaching out with their friendship, and it is sad to see how some might take advantage of that. i haven't been very good about checking in and i'm sorry for that. i just wanted everyone who was so supportive during the whole surgery/post surgery ordeal to know how much it meant to me.
i am now back at work and what i figured would happen has. they do not know what has hit them. i am walking around the building almost at a "running" pace and it freaks them out [they are used to seeing me all stooped over] they are giddy with laughter at the fact that i am now turning everything in on time and that i can stay caught up. i have to explain to them that this is the real me, they just haven't met me yet
anyway, Rose, thanks for letting me talk about all of this on your blog. i hope i haven't done anything inappropriate. i really do love all of you guys and appreciate your support.

The Columbia River Gorge according to my sister Clare (Robert Pattinson’s
mother), where the first Twilight film was shot, is totally fabulous. In
an email she sent to me on New Year’s Eve 2008 she said the scenery was
absolutely gorgeous - stunning in fact.
I told Clare we had been to see the film at our local cinema and described
the strange feeling of watching Rob “knowing he’s your son” and how it was
all larger than life. And that we thought the bit towards the end in the
hall of mirrors where one of the vampires lifted up one of the opposition
and screwed his head off, was pretty scary especially the sound effects.
Well, while girls around the world were being mesmerised by Rob’s onscreen
eyes which turned from the Cullen family’s amber, to black when he was
hungry and there was trouble a-foot, another drama was being played out at
his real life aunts’ homes.
Diana and I were besieged by the world’s press who wanted stories relating
to our famous nephew. It appeared that within 24 hours of Rob’s film
Twilight being released, they had discovered our identity, our addresses
and telephone numbers. The press were on our doorsteps, on our family’s
doorsteps, they even found our mobile phone numbers, information not
available to the general public. We were horrified at the intrusion into
our private lives.
Apparently it was in the “public interest” to compile information relating
to a star, particularly an overnight star as in the case of Rob - so said
the UK’s Minister for Communications in a letter to my elder sister Diana.
We were horrified. It is extraordinary that we have been the subject of
such intrusion in the name of Freedom of the Press.
Journalists kept arriving. One proceeded to write utter lies about
something neither Diana nor I had said, then syndicated ‘his’ valuable
story all over the world. Diana began receiving emails and phonecalls from
magazines and newspapers from China and Japan as well as representatives
of Canadian, Australian and European publications. They were all desperate
to retrieve anything about Rob.
Any Rob fans reading this - I’m sorry to disillusion you – these
journalists invented stories back then about Rob’s ‘imaginery’ personal
relationship with his co-star. Of course the publicity fuelled the
Hollywood hype about Rob. As they say, any publicity is good publicity.
For over four years now, each time something happens in Rob’s life my
sister Diana is hounded. At one time there were two million hits on the
internet against her name, many, from Rob’s fans, leaving derogatory
comments about her. A fake Twitter account in her name was also published.
This was all before the Phone Hacking scandal in the UK which has wiped
the smile off some unscrupulous journalists’ faces.
This blog has allowed me the opportunity to buzz the airwaves with my
private thoughts.
From our sister Clare and her family there is only silence. Fame
overshadows reality.

Okay let me get this straight...people that were HOUNDED by journalists where stories were made up about them and Rob, people that were trying to find some form of privacy, took to the internet to write a blog post about their horrible Fame experience because of their famous nephew. Oh and they made SURE to include the part about an imaginary girlfriend and were thoughtful enough to apologize to fans. when i was a youngster in college we lived next door to a couple who were just like that. they were so loud and had so much stamina that my roommate and i joked that there must be a new olympic event and they were in training the US team. they also were responsible for the expression "killing the cat" which my friends and i use all the time now because that is what it sounded like

Robert I think we all have entertaining neighbours at some stage, this is my second set!! my neighbours on the other side used to fight regularly , but they split up so it went quiet. I would be too worried about what my neighbours thought of me to put on such a noisy show :)

The cat is home...she is still moping around but seems a little better. We are vi ing her antibotics and TLC So hopefully she will be back to her old self in a week or so
