Happy Valentine's Day!
I do hope that everyone who reads my words
has a happy and well loved heart.
Not just today... but always.
Valentines Day is a nice way to let someone know
that you love them...
So I thought I would write about things...
People...
I love.
I don't want to get too personal here...
So suffice to say that
I love my family... my friends...
My 2 incredible
wonderful
smart
witty
adorable
brilliant
handsome
sons
More than life.
And I really love life.
But lets move on to a simpler
less complicated love.
Things I love
In no particular order.
1. Paul McCartney.
I've loved him for a very long time...
Since I was but a wee lass of 10
and I found the Beatles.
I love the Beatles.
Their music means everything to me.
Yeah... I know.
Me and a zillion other people.
But as I sit here today
I have no doubt that Lennon/McCartney
saved my life.
They were there for me at the lowest part of my existence.
If it wasn't for their music coming through my headphones
Drowning out everything else...
I might not have made it.
I've always had a particular fondness for Paul.
He does write 'Silly Love Songs'
But he has also written some of the most beautiful lyrics
Usually for the women he loves.
"Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky...
I know this love of mine

And I love her"
"Who knows how long I've loved you
You know I love you still.

The man loves love.
He loves being in love.
He loves singing about love.
Paul was on the Grammys the other night.
Still rocking in his 60's...
He performed a classic Beatles song...
Carry That Weight/The End
And the classic line...
And in the end
The love you take
Is equal to the love you make.
That is brilliant.
That is incredible.
That is SO Paul.
And that is so True.
2. I have this thing about baby bunnies.
Well... all bunnies.
I love bunnies.
I have lots of bunnies in my house.
(I try to be discreet in my bunny love)
But there is something about baby bunnies...
I mean...
Look at this guy.
Is that the most adorable bunny ever?
You can't look at a picture of a baby bunny
and NOT smile.
My love of bunnies goes to Bugs Bunny too...
My favorite cartoon.
Smartass Rabbit
Who is sarcastic and obnoxious
and always gets the last laugh.
What's not to love?
3. Breaking Dawn Wedding Scene.
Um.
Rob and Kristen are beyond adorable here.
Look at her squish his nose all cute and sweet.
Look at him loving her squishing his nose...
I'm sorry.
I always go back to Robert's smile.
His smile when he is around Kristen.
Right.
It's a movie.
He's acting.
But he smiles like that ALL the time around her.
All.
The.
Time.
That's what hits me about this wedding scene...
How REAL it seems.
Beyond Edward and Bella.
How Rob and Kristen embraced the moment.
The feelings.
The "I love you"
4. Oh my.
Look at Tom's adorable shoes.
I love Robert and Thomas.
I love that they are great friends.
I love that no matter what...
They remain loyal
steadfast
and true.
I love how they are both so damn gorgeous.
And how they both have had an effect on me.
I love watching them in their movies.
I love watching them.
Laughing.
Walking.
Being awkward.
Being adorable.
Remaining as they were.
Loyal.
Steadfast
and True.
5. I adore Kristen Stewart.
I love her smile.
I love how she embraces who she is...
I love that sometimes she gets nervous and shy.
I love that she would rather wear t-shirts and jeans
than get all dressed up...
I love how intensely she feels for her work.
I love how she can't wait to kick off her heels.
I love how she looks at Robert.
I love how she makes Rob smile.
I love that she loves him.
I love that he has fallen in love with her.
6. Robert Walking.
Still does something to me.
Affects me.
It's a combination of things I guess...
He seems a bit shy about it
A bit awkward.
But he somehow always manages
to stride
strut
stroll
In a most mesmerizing way...
And this one?
Top 3.
Top 2.
He's all wrinkled and tousled
His hair is a lovely mess
He has an incredible smirk on his face.

7. Robert and Kristen.
2 people who I have come to love
watching them be in love.
I'm not sure why it makes me so damn happy
that they are in love.
But it does.
I guess love and happy are good things to be.
It's been quite a journey seeing them fall in love
Over 3 years now.
They have proven to me
time and time again
That they choose to be together.
That there is nowhere else
they would rather be.
You know the mantra by now...
"Rob and Kristen always end up together"
I love the truth.
8. I love Tom Sturridge.
I know I have 'waxed poetic' about him endlessly...
But I love how good he is to those he loves.
How he protects Kristen.
And Rob.
And how he doesn't feel the need to discuss
his personal relationships with the press.
things that are happening in his life.
He deserves happiness.
If Tom is smiling and happy...
So goes Rose.
9. This is one of my favorite pictures of Tom.
Scruffy.
No hat.
And staring intently into the camera
with those incredible blue eyes.
One of his lopsided smiles would have made this perfect.
But I'm not complaining.
At all.

They say a smile, just one little smile can turn a persons whole day around into something more productive. So many wonderful memories... Too many years have gone by and then I was grown and in Anesthesia School when John Lennon was killed.... I cried and cried..It broke my heart....sigh
Bunny Rabbits... I have lots of them in my yard .. and I was just talking to someone the other day about the cartoons I watched as a child... Bugs Bunny, Fog Horn Leg Horn, ....we used to run home every afternoon to watch the Looney Tunes and Tarzan... Boy, those were the days...I wish I could be a kid again!

Having read the book and watched so many shorts on vid of his performance, it seems to me that he caught the very essence of Duroy.
Christina Ricci is a stunning woman and I could hardly take my gaze off of that charming mole of hers which she displayed beautifully.
Enough of my opinions for tonight, as I am full of them and myself, as usual.

Congratulations to Rob on what appeared to be a very successful day yesterday. With or without the hair, he is one incredibly handsome man. Once again, he showed his generosity taking the time to sign autographs and greet his fans, which speaks to the type of person he is. As others have said, his family can be extraordinarily proud of him.

ReplyDeleteI've to laugh at some of the comments I read in other sites saying that they looked intimate. I think they looked pretty unconfortable with each other, like two strangers meeting for the first time. I did notice him checking her out several times, I don't think he was looking at the floor, lol. I found a bit weird (and a bit comical) the way he kept staring at her, like trying to avoid it but not really being able to. That being said, I think people are blowing things way out of proportion, as always.
I wish people stopped with the good old justification "he's a man" though, I find that justification really lame. Don't women appreciate men too? I know I do, lol. It's natural on both sides. I guess our society is still very sexist when judging a male or a female behaviour. I agree with the comment that if it was Kristen caught doing it with a male costar, the reaction would be much worse. No doubt about that, and it sucks that the double standard is still so strong.
I think people are "criticizing" the context he's doing it - while being photographed at a public event - not the act itself, because they think it's disrespectful and embarrassing for Kristen. Honestly? I can relate to that, I would feel embarrassed (in "reality", most of us would, even knowing that "real life men" - AND us, "real life women" - function like that) BUT, I've a feeling Kristen doesn't give a damn about it, lol, she probably just rolls her eyes and move on. If this was a real issue in their relationship I imagine they would not be together anymore! So... I don't think this is such a big deal.

The poor man was probably afraid for the woman............(I know I was)
One swift turn in either direction, one lean forward and out those girls would pop! I was worried for her too..........She left nothing to the imagination but then again it seems as if the whole world was watching.
I was hoping those boobs were taped to that dress as tightly as Fort Knox is protected!
Rob probably saw more of Ms. Ricci's boobs two years ago in filming Bel Ami, than he did in that photocall...........from what we've seen the movie does have some very intimate scenes.

Beautiful sunshine here today, after days of intense rain and temps that keep going down low, then up, then down and up. It is not a wonder that so many at school are nursing awful colds that keep hanging on for weeks. Good news, Spring Break is just a few weeks away during the middle of March.

ReplyDeleteI hope everyone had a great weekend. I am all caught up here but have one or two more videos to watch on Robstenation still of the premier. I've been so busy this last week in half with various projects and nursing colds in my house.
I thought the pictures of Rob were gorgeous. I loved the long jacket on him. He looked a little bit more grown up if that is possible with Rob. I also thought it was awesome his whole family went with him for support!!!
So I found a new recipe that would be perfect for a fast and easy meal to make. I tried it tonight, and I know it was a keeper when, myself being a person who doesn't like coleslaw, actually liked it. I have also found few more if anyone needs a new one.

ReplyDeleteThe finale for season two of Downton Abbey last night was wonderful. Bravo! So much to comment about and of course praise everyone involved.
Too many favorite scenes.....must confess that the lead in to the visit , in the kitchen, and then the actual visit by Daisy to Michael's father, Mr. Mason, had me in tears. What a tender, kind man and Daisy finally begins to understand and feel a part of what love is. And of course, Lady Violet is the crown jewel of the series. Even she plants some seeds for thought on love in little Daisy's mind. Thank you, thank you to all involved in this beautiful series.
Looking forward to season 3 next year, and from what I have read, two weddings!
