This is how I feel today.
In the last 2 days I've gone to 2 funerals...
Today I have a wedding.
Mixed emotions.
So of course, I haven't been online much...
And while I always anticipate bullshit drama
Even I was surprised at what I saw when I came on.
I'm tired of it.
So tired.
I'm tired of the hate.
I'm tired of the lying.
I'm tired of people making this bullshit... personal.
What the FUCK is wrong with some of you?
Debating Rob/Kristen is one thing.
Attacking someone on a personal level is another.
I'm tired.
Disgusted.
Weary.
And so very sad.
And I wish I could say it was the last couple of days
that was totally responsible for it...
But it's not.
Robert makes me happy.
He's does.
So even though this fandom has its share of
complete total lunatics...
Robert still makes me happy
and I am going to try and ignore the crazy.
I have to.
I can't deal with it anymore.
I don't want to see it.
I don't want to address it.
I don't want to even acknowledge it exists.
I want to focus on Robert and Kristen...
Because they make me smile.
There are some sincerely good people too.
I've met a lot of decent, kind, wonderful people.
People who will be my friends for a long time.
Real friends.
So I am going to focus on the positive.
Things that make me laugh.
Things that are fun.
The good.
The sane.
The rational.
The Love.

I'm thankful I am aware of that, and feel bad for those who don't and spend too much of their time on negative things that really aren't consequential to their own lives. Sad. I'm sorry that you have that front and center right now, but life's hard times are also a blessing. Out those painful lessons comes a knowledge that we wouldn't have otherwise.

I am sorry for the losses...two funerals is horrible and a marriage with mixed emotions may just be sadder (as Lilly said). ReplyDeleteAre we sensitive whenever we feel someone is attacking Rob and Kristen? Well, yeah. We, like Rose, want to defend them against that.
I don't understand why someone wants to make Rob and Kristen's relationship about themselves. What are they expecting to get out of it? Their lives move and turn with or without Kristen and Rob in it, whether they're together or not. So why try to mess with that?

Instead she is still dealing with that horrible backne issue with the boils and the oozing pustules and such. Disgusting really but grandmother says that now that is has concentrated itself mostly on her face there is hope that, as they rupture and spew puss, it will begin to heal. Of course there is still the issue of Lilly's uncontrollable flatulence but that will be addressed at a later day.

They either treat Robert like he's 5 and a babe in the woods, or else say horrible things about a girl who is young enough to be their niece or daughter!
YOU have always shown Robert the respect he deserves AS A GROWN MAN making big boy decisions in life and love. YOU have always shown Kristen the respect she deserves as a young women growing up and making mistakes in the glare of media attention.
It's sad some people can't realize that's all you have done this whole time. Simply tried to remind people that it's much more attractive to be gracious fans and observers instead of creepy fans with no boundaries.

So, although it sounds like you have had a terribly distressful few days in your own life, and dare I even ask what the nonsense with the haters involves, you are a wise woman to hold onto your boys (and I suppose I have to throw the damn husband in there as well, for I know you adore him also). How many times have you preached about not paying attention to the crazies and focusing on the good in people. There are, I would dare say, 10's of 1000's of people who adore you Rose. How did someone as amazing as you draw the even shittier card and get two plus a wedding? Talk about emotional whiplash. I know what a difference the encouraging words from the people here did for me and, as it should be, you have them coming from them all.
If there is one thing the Roselanders know how to do…it is to support one another. That support started with you and I hope you feel it reflecting back.

Just some of my thoughts on why R & K and their love, means so much to others:
ReplyDeleteI think that we accept guidance from great thinkers or those that write books on spiritual/emotional growth and sometimes, we feel affection or connection with them.
That doesn't mean that they have a corner on the market about loving, so to speak.
And, boom, into our world comes a young couple, actors who exalt in their craft and portrayal of uber-famous fictional characters, Edward and Bella.
They do their best to represent them and bring to their audience, ultimately Love, a gift to us and yes, to them.
Is there anything or anyone more appealing than those who choose to buck the norm, in Hollywood or anywhere, who achieve success,
and still remain real? I haven't found it to be so.
And yes, like so many of us in here, I am enchanted with the beauty, uniqueness, rarity and purity of it all.

I especially love the last picture that you posted. It's one of my favorites. Look at the sheer joy on their faces. How can anyone look at that picture and not smile?
I'd like to share a sweet story with you before I go that will hopefully make you smile...
Over the summer I attended a festival that included dancing and while watching some of the dancers I noticed an old couple (maybe in their 80s?) that just made my heart melt. They danced together all night long. It didn't matter what the band was playing. They were out there dancing and you could see how much they just enjoyed being together. And the looks on their faces...wow, it was as if they were newlyweds. It was clear that they adored each other. I wish that you could have witnessed it for yourself.
You're right Rose...it's all about LOVE. THAT is what I wish for Robert & Kristen and for you & your husband and for everyone who reads your blog. I hope that you're having a great time at the wedding. I hope that you and your husband dance/twirl all night long.
