Random Rose and Robert

"Marry me, Kristen... "

Random Thoughts.

1. We haven't seen Robert or Kristen for quite some time.
Good or bad?
Good for them, obviously.
The more they stay away from the fan lunacy...
The better.
Bad for us because we miss their gorgeous faces.

I suppose it's good enough to know that wherever they are...
They are together.
Happy.
Content.
Satisfied.
In Love.

These are the smiles of 2 people who adore each other...

2. Remember the hand/feathers picture that Bill Condon released?
There was the usual drama about whose hand it was.
I know.
Some people claimed it was too feminine and pretty a hand
to belong to Kristen Stewart...
Some people got all wrecked at the thought of Kristen
clutching feathers...
Well.
It turns out that it was 'proven' to be Kristen's hand after all.
Cool.
I'm not sure why it caused more drama...
but it just goes to show you that no matter
what is being discussed...
Some people will ALWAYS complain and argue about it.
Just for the sake of arguing.

And so it goes.

You are so beautiful to me.

3. The amped up bitter jealousy of Kristen Stewart.
I mean...
AMPED UP.
It is not even a question anymore that
Robert and Kristen are a couple.
At least to those people not infected with rabies.
(Yeah, I went there anyway)
So the more desperate people become...
the more hatred is spewed at Kristen
(And at Robert too)
It makes my skin crawl to read some of the complete lunacy
and absolute hatred directed at her.
What it all comes down to is one thing.
Robert wants to be with Kristen.
He's proven that time and time again.
So all your criticisms
all your attacks don't matter.
At all.
You can foam about Kristen all you want...
But
Robert and Kristen will still be together.

Yes. Yes. A thousand times YES!
4. Tome.
I know I explained this somewhere.
I'm not going to explain it again.
People are coming up with all sorts of explanations
and I find myself laughing at the incredible imaginations out there!
Very creative.
Just remember one thing...
I have just written a few Tome quotes
and a (hopefully) epic date.
That's all.
Everything else is what other people have said.
Not me.
I haven't even mentioned Rob/Kristen in all this...
Everyone else has.

So take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt.
Shared houses.
Rings.
Promises.
Epic dates.
Broken 'e' keys.

Except one thing.

“A house is made of walls and beams...
A Tome is built with love and dreams.”

This post is brought to you by the letter *D*
D for Dreams.
We all have them
Some of us get to live them.
I hope all your dreams come true.

Bye for now

  1. Rose you are going to have all these girls who hang onto your EVERY word, in a loony bin soon. LOL

I mean, that's not your fault of course. People read into everything and anything. Like I said the other day though, I really hope people who dissect words, pics etc... have a life outside the internet because at the end of the day, nothing ANYONE says means a thing to R&K it's THERE life together, there choices.

and a VERY happy life from what I gather. :)

I hope everyone is well here in Roseland! :) Have a great day all.

  2. Rose,

Such analysis of your innocent words. I'm sure you never thought, or cared, to have such an impact on people.

Since this is all in fun, I kind of like this one:
He is the happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his tome.

  3. Hi Rose, I cant imagine what the haters get out of their lunacy. I miss Rob and Kris but like you said its good for them. I hope for a day there is no need to verify a hand for crying out loud.

Cant wait to see Breaking Dawn!

    Thanks for the welcome Sydney.

  4. All I've got to say is if people are actually spending time and energy on worrying if a picture from a scene in BD of a hand holding feathers is Kristen's or not, then I think they need to get a life.

  5. HI KAMI! Hi PL!

    Kami, I agree :)

Hope you have a great day, I am leaving for work now. :(

  6. Hello, Rose. I just wanted to say that I love the quotes you are putting under the pictures.

I'm kind of glad there are no new pictures. It means Rob and Kristen are getting to have some much needed alone time after filming. It's nice that they could spend the holiday quietly.

I have heard security on location has been increased for them. I hope that's true. The mother in me worries about them.

  7. Love the last section

    We all have them
Some of us get to live them.
I hope all your dreams come true.

That's beautiful, is it a quote from somewhere or is it all you?

Thanks again Rose for your wonderful blog!

  8. Rose,
I love the banner. How can anyone hate a girl with that smile? Both their smiles are infectious. As you said recently, when they are happy I smile.
    I am loving your captions.

  9. Dear Rose,
Thank you for a perfect post with lovely pictures, highlighted by terrific captions, followed by loving sentiments of a most beautiful young couple to whom we always wish the very best in life and career. So happy that they have stayed under the radar this holiday week.
    Hugs!

  10. Hi, Rose!!! Hope you are having a awesome weekend.

What I find funny, is that even some of the people that say...Rose knows nothing...are dissecting your every post trying to figure out whats the meaning behind your words.

I miss Rob and Kristen gorgeous faces too but no new it's a good thing too, like you said it's good for them to stay away from the fan lunacy. I hope wherever they are they are happy.

    Hugs

And Hi, to Roseland!! Hope all is well with everyone.

  11. I love random Rose days. Smiling at the captions as they are always perfect for the picture.

People will never cease to amaze me. When will the nutjobs learn that nothing they say will cause R/K to not be together?

Looking forward to seeing what the future brings these two! Happy that life is going well for them.

Traveling back home-traffic has put us behind just over an hour. Not all that happy but what can you do.

    Hugs to you all! TTYL.

  12. Hi Rose, Hi everyone - Hope you're all having a great weekends. I think that banner may be my favourite picture of the two of them, they look so happy in it!!
I'm very glad they're getting some peace and quiet :)
I think anyone who obsesses over something, mainly because you hate the idea of it being true, has serious problems. It won't change anything,Rob doesn't give a damn what they think, I'm sure he just wishes they'd disappear of the face of the earth in all honesty.

might as well throw in a quote : ''Tome'' is any four walls that enclose the right person.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Rose,

What I have the hardest time dealing with is that people somehow have the belief that the things they foam over the most are somehow THEIR business. I mean seriously. How do they find the time to worry over someones else's life to this degree?? Funny thing is that these are the FIRST people who say "You people need to get a life!"

Oh really?? One like yours?? NO thanks!

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!! I'm so excited for this time of year that I don't even mind going back to work tomorrow :) It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! I hope everyone has a great Sunday :)

  14. Some people will never wake up...so sad.

Clearly the photo is of Kristen sensually holding the feathers...you can spot her luminous skin a mile away.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's funny how the mind of non-believers work, they say Rose that don't know anything but hypocritically trying to decipher every single one of Rose's post. Is this a behaviour of someone who don't believe?

Like everyone here says, nothing they say will affect Rob & Kristen in any shapes or forms perhaps aside from providing a few laughs at their lunacy.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Good evening Roseland!

To those who have a need to create drama as if it will impact on how Rob and Kristen feel about each other.........
They are together folks. Deal with it and get over yourselves!

Get some rest, Get a life, Be a respectful fan.
Be happy for them because they are happy with each other!

As Rose says....With acceptance comes peace! :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Rose - I'll admit I've been ignoring this "tome" thing in your post for the past week not really thinking anything of it.... but now today I'm trying to figure this cryptic thing out...I've been googling, etc... and finding nothing of course!

So where are people speculating? And thanks for this wild goose chase I've been on this cold Sun. afternoon!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. The power of the written word, hey Rose. It only goes to prove that those whackjobs are lacking in reading comprehension skills.

I love the pic of your banner. It's one of my faves too. Kristen's beautiful laugh just lights up the whole pic.

    ReplyDelete
  19. FINALLY able to show up and catch up!

Ummm, who cares if it is REALLY Kristen's hand holding feathers? Why is this an issue?

If 12/10/10 is an epic date--I'm sure we'll find out then. No point getting jacked up over something we know nothing about.

    I don't get it.

I'm just happy everyone is happy.

    Hugs all around.

  20. Oh, by the way, I hope everyone had a VERY happy Thanksgiving!!!!

  22. Rose, your posts are a thing of beauty...thanks for the funny, sweet, thoughtful, and inspiring daily musings!

Hope all enjoyed a fabulous Thanksgiving...

    ReplyDelete
  23. Hi, SueBee!!! hope all is well with you.

And I also don't understand get why people are all jacked up over the 10/12/2010...if it's something meant to be shared with everyone it will be and if not is because it's something that doesn't concerne us...Not our business to know.

    Take care Susan

  24. Another good post, Rose. I'm the "lurker" Sue who posted for the first time yesterday. I was feeling kind of weird being a 62 year old grandmother who was obsessed with Rob and Kristen. Thank you Saphire 1231 ad Super RN Gas Passer for letting me know I am not alone and for making me feel welcome here. I noticed a few posts down that there was another Sue who posted and it was not me. Guess there are two of us. I decided to change my name to SueJen so there would be a difference but I don't know how to go back in to change it(??) Anyway, maybe I'll get it figured out. Just wanted to thank you two for responding to me.

  26. Rose~I too can't believe the foam...who's hand would it exactly be other than Kristen's

    SueBee~Ditto!!!

    Hi Super RN!!!

Glad to hear our Gamecocks won. I never liked Clemson... they always seem so, dare I say, cocky..."Go Cocks!"

Have you enjoy any boiled peanuts lately?

    ReplyDelete
  27. The saddest comment I read by a few haters regarding the very lovely arm of Kristen clutching feathers was that her "thumbnail was very large". Yeah, ANY. LITTLE. THING. to pick at and bash. Why? So they can make themselves feel better. I read a very disturbing message aimed at Rob fans. The nonstens would like you to join them to try to ruin Kristen's career (as if) so she will break up with Rob over it (because awards and fame are so very important to Kristen ~sarcasm). Some "fans", regular posters from Rob's IMDb board, started a "campaign" for Angelina Jolie for the Attenborough award. Well, it wasn't like they were HUGE Angelina fans, it was more of an anti-Kristen campaign. Knock yourselves out losers. How women can be so filled with hate I just don't understand. Rob & Kris are beautiful together. How can they not see that? Are they blinded by jealousy? IDGI at all.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Oh Rose.. I like your blog & your thoughts.. I hate Kristen hate. ITA with you.. but If only you could read some kristen fans comments.. the stuff that pepole have said about Robert.
why some people need to trash Rob to make Kristen look good. I don't get it.

*sigh* but I'm so happy R/K have eachother because they need each other in this crazy Twilight fandom. ...

ps; @lilachoney1 <---- Kris's imdb queen also a newest Rob hater.
I never thought I'd miss 'honey' at least she was entertaining..

  29. No One Is Alone

    Bernadette Peters/listen here:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnLKbc2hvxk&NR=1

No one here to guide you
    Now you're on your own
    Only me beside you
    Still your not alone
    No one is alone
    Truly
    No one is alone

    Sometimes people leave you
    Half-way through the wood
    Others may decieve you
    You decide whats good
    You decide alone
    But no one is alone

    People make mistakes
    Father's, Mother's
    People make mistakes
    Holding to their own
    Thinking they're alone

    Honor their mistakes
    Everybody makes
    One another's terrible mistakes

    Witches can be right
    Giants can be good
    You decide whats right
    You decide whats good
    Just remember

    Someone is on your side
    Someone else is not
    Well we're seeing our side
    Maybe we forgot
    They are not alone
    Cause no one is alone

Hard to see the light now
    Just don't let it go
Things will come out right now
    We can make it so
    Someone is on your side
    No one is alone

    Thank you/EricMChicago

  30. Hey Rose, loved the post, great pictures and titles. lol I am forever amazed at all the hateful people there are in the world, and I am equally thankful that I don't know alot of them. Thanks again Rose.

    ReplyDelete
  31. SueJen...you are definitely not alone. I'm 50. In all my life, I have never followed any celebrities until Rob & Kristen. What is it about this gorgeous beautiful couple, huh?

    jerseygrl2...exactly what you said!
I think Kristen wouldn't care about winning the RAFA but I'm still voting every chance I get.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hey DK!! How is our resident Fairy Godmother today??

    ReplyDelete
  33. @jerseygrl2

'Some "fans", regular posters from Rob's IMDb board, started a "campaign" for Angelina Jolie for the Attenborough award'

FANS?? It was just crazy 'dayz' She is a troll just like honey, garretstew freak.

that Grttstew freak was voting Rob and RM for Razzies. I DO NOT CALL her a Kristen fan.

I don't know about you people but I am just so tired of Rob fans being labelled just because a few sick person.

Rob and Kristen together and happy so why can't we just focus on good?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I feel like I'm missing something today...probably a hangover from Thanksgiving....but what difference does it make one way or the other if the feathers in the hand picture, is a picture of Kristen or not? Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not talking about fans of Rob and Kristen making comments, but why are people losing their minds over this photo in a quest to prove it's not Kristen's hand? Do they think that if the hand is NOT Kristen's then there's not a relationship in real life? It makes no sense.

They are making a MOVIE. So I ask the haters...uh what the hell is your problem here? It doesn't matter one iota if the feathers are in Kristen's hand or a double's hand...it's a MOVIE. They use doubles in movies...in "The Graduate" the legs they show...are NOT Anne Bancroft's legs...they used a double...Linda Gray (for all of us who remember the show...she played Sue Ellen on Dallas)..now explain to me why that makes a difference? It doesn't.

Especially explain to me why it's important to the real life relationship of Robert and Kristen if the picture is Kristen's hand or a double's hand, it doesn't change reality. The reality is that they are dating...period..end of subject, all we need to know. So to all those people out there spending THEIR time and energy trying to prove this hand isn't Kristen's...seriously...get a life.

Hi, there! Resident FGM here, and I'm good. Had a good holiday and I love Sundays.

    And, you?

    DK

  36. What I am sick of is the constant arguing back and forth about whose fans are worst. There are good and bad on both sides, fortunately the good are very much in the majority but can we please leave it where it belongs, amongst the loons at AT and IMDB? Rose's blog is generally a fun place to visit. It would be so nice if we could keep it that way!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I honestly wish some people would apply the same amount of time and effort on things that make this world a better place than what I see the haters from either side invest themselves on. I don't care who hates more or more loudly, its lame either way.

To discect the hand with the feathers, Holy Moly.....anyway.

I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend!

  41. Top of the mornan to ya Rose!

“A house is made of walls and beams...
A Tome is built with love and dreams.”

    Love this quote Rose....

As for the picture of ...........well so it seems to be of Kristen's hand.....So what? Either way, whose hand it belongs to....The better part of the picture is, what the hand implies.....Love and Fulfilment...IMHO...that is all and that is it....

    ReplyDelete
  42. Seems I miss a lot. I wasn’t aware there was any tizzy over the feather picture and I was going to comment on how silly that is, but others have already addressed this quite adeptly. No need for a re-hash. So all that is left to be said, is to wish everyone a great end to the weekend and a great start of the week tomorrow.

  43. LOUISA HELLO....TOP O THE EVENING OVER HERE. WHERE ARE YOU?

I BELIEVE...Yes Go Cocks!!! No I havent had any recently but I will think of you every time I do.

PAARANORMAL STATES FANS...Tonite at 9 EST on A&E will be the episode about the 12 year old who was killed on Halloween 2 years ago in my town...just about 2 miles from my house.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Good evening to all, lurkers included,

I too was unaware the feather picture caused a fuss. So now that I know it has, I can only think that if the fusspots think that is a double's hand then that means the double filmed the scene. And the significance of that logic would be that there was no way Kristen got that close to Rob. So now they can rest easy that "their" Rob has never had a close connection even on film with Kristen.

    Unbelievable logic.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Super RN~how awful and sad about the 12 year old

Hi PL~yes the foamers have unbelievable logic

    ReplyDelete
  46. Super Gas......What you haven’t had' cock' lately.......LMAO...I'm not even going to touch that one.......LOL Poor IB to be thought of in that context! lol

You know its Monday morning for me? Don’t you? Where am I? Home of course! Silly billy! lol
I love Paranormal shows.....they scared the dickens outta of me! But enjoy them enormously...We have that show here.....Late on Saturday night....I always try not to miss it.

  47. ABOUT THE FEATHERED HAND...It just goes to show you how DESPERATE the Haters are...the most ridiculous crap I ever heard. If they are critquing the size of her thumb nail...OMG..she has beautiful hands! and nails I might add..Pathetic shit stirrers from Hell...that is the best they can do???...pathetic.

  49. Lovely Rose,

    How are you doing today?
    L really love the banner..
Love the pics and the quotes..

Yeah you're right, i also miss thier gorgeous face..but no pics means quiet and privacy..
All that matters is Rob & Kristen are together!!

Dont worry about people dissecting your words.. sane people understand what you mean..

The insane and jealous ones tend to read and put meaning into it when there shoukd be none,, probably havent taken their meds yet..LOL

    Cant wait or BD..

    Have a wonderful day

    ReplyDelete
  50. LOUISA...HA HA.. NO I get enough of that I promise you! In SC our Alma Mater is USC GAMECOCKS. They beat our in state rivals last night, the CLEMSON TIGERS....

    ReplyDelete
  51. I BELIEVE...It was awful. The 12 year old went trick or treating to a house that harbored a drug dealer. When the child rang the door bell, the idiot shot through the door with a submachine gun because he thought someone was coming after him. He didnt even realize it was Halloween. By the way, the house is directly across the street from a cemetary. I go by that house every day.

  52. Super RN Gas Passer,

YUP I am watching Paranormal State right now actually. I Just got home and cant wait for the new ep. Also Chad from Ryan's show has his own premiere tonight right after PS.

Seriously, I always go Christmas Eve.

  56. Rose - thank you for your incredible patience in dealing with the utter f*ckery of this fandom. Seriously?? These women actually believe what they are saying? FFS

I am so glad that nothing the haters, lunatics, fans or even Roselanders say affects Rob and Kristen's relationship....that is how it should be. I'm glad they have found their happiness in each other.

I hope all of you wonderful, logical women are having a nice Sunday evening! :)

  59. IB I was only pullen Super Gas's leg.....I just saw a humourous side of what was said....that's all....We use cock in another way here and that it what came to mind.....I am only joking....I meant no harm.....
As for some of the stories in the Paranormal show....The stories are sad but true....I prefer the ghostly asspect of the show. I have visited hauted places in the past, even I think felt the presence of paranormal activity...Crepy as it sounds...Its an interest of mine...To feel your chest blocked up and something touching your foot...SO unexplained is exciting and scary at he same time.

    ReplyDelete
  60. PL,
"Bowl" as in bowl of cherries so that ok with me. It would be no fun being a bowel. Anyways, today was the first time I missed church since the kids went back to school so I was on quite a streak....Sister Mary would not be pleased, though and I did feel a little of that guilt sleeping in.

    ReplyDelete
  61. LOUISA..HA HA.. What does it mean there? The Paranormal is something I believe in but I try to steer clear of it. Too scary!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Louisa,
Not to worry. I used to wear "Go Cocks" shirts home to New York and people would give me the oddest looks. I know you were kidding, I just found it funny:)

    ReplyDelete
  63. Super gas ...so it seems it means the same here as it does there....hahah
So no need to put me through an explaination...right? lol

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hi 30 - hope you are having a great evening.

There seem to be a lot of fans of Paranormal State here. I'm not sure we get it here. I'll have to check the TV listing, and check it out sometime (if we get it).

Good night *I*Believe, Super RN, Katy and everyone else I haven't met yet.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Ok IB what's a "rug hooker'?
Sorry I've never heard that term before

    ReplyDelete
  75. IB,
I only get it on Netflix and the last one I watched was with John Lithgow. That was the last season wasn't it? What did you think of the ending. I didn't see that coming.
Who is the new member, Julia Stiles and who is the new villian?

    ReplyDelete
  76. DK, Is it really you? Where's the music. I will try to get up extra early just for you. I haven't seen Gwen or Bren for a bit.
IB, I have always wanted to learn how to hook. That really doesn't sound right. I have seen some beautiful pieces.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Oops! Birdie, I hope I didn't let the cat out of the bag...there is actually a group of villians this season...

Rug hooking actually started in New England and Canada long ago. When you rug hook you use strips of wool that are 1/4 inch or less. You use a hook, similar to a crochet hook, to pull the wool through a backing fabric. When you pull it through, you make a loop on the top so you will have the pile of your rug. There are all kinds of cool patterns and wonderful wool and colors to use.

  78. Super, I remember you telling me that about Ryan a few months ago. Did you know he wrote a book recently? He came out in it.. I mean he came out as Bisexual. I was shocked! He got a lot of BS over that too. Doesn't bother me personally, him being BI, but he lots some fans after. Some also bullied him on his Fb fan page.

Freddie, I love the paranormal, I watch all those shows. :)

  79. I get really upset when people are hatefull towards Rob and Kristen it's really sick it seems these people have nothing better to do with their lives, I wish people would stop all this stupid, inane hate and just go do something productive with their lives instead...there is no need to slander Robert or Kristen to defende one or the other because this doesn't make you a good fans...in my eyes it makes you a bad fan.
The thing I like to think is that no matter the amount of hate that is spewed out there...is NOT going to change a thing between Rob and Kristen and it as 'absolutely NO effect what so ever in Robert and Kristen lives'.

Thank you Rose and Roseland for all your sanity.

    Hugs to everyone...and goodnight

You should def try hooking. It is easy and enjoyable. You can buy kits on line that are great for beginners. Besides the kit all you would need is a hook and a quilter's hoop.

I can hear her heart beat for a thousand miles
And the heavens open every time she smiles
And when I come to her, that's where I belong
I'm running to her like a river's song

She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She gives me love, love, love, love, crazy love

She's got a fine sense of humor when I'm feeling low down
And when I come to her when the sun goes down
Takes away my trouble, takes away my grief
Takes away my heartache in the night like a thief

Give me love, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme crazy love
Give me love, love, love, yes sir, crazy love

Yes, I need her in the daytime
Yes, I need her in the night
But I want to throw my arms around her
Kiss her an' hug her, kiss her an' hug her tight
Kiss her an' hug her tight, through the night

And when I'm returning from so far away
She gives me some sweet lovin' brighten up my day
It'll make me feel righteous, make me feel whole
Make me feel mellow down into my soul

Give me love, gimme love, yes sir, crazy love
Give me love, gimme, gimme, gimme, crazy love

I said she gives me love, love, love, aww, crazy love
She gives me, yeah, crazy love

I said give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She gives me love, love, yes sir, a crazy love, one more time

She gives me love, love, love, love, she gives me crazy love

  95. Hooking rugs and knitting are good things to do.

I knitted many years ago, and made three very long scarves (maybe 5 feet long, as was the style then) and gave them as gifts.

When I never saw anyone wearing those scarves, I was baffled and then discouraged. That was the end of it for me.

One day, a friend told me that the scarf I gave her was so long, that she kept tripping on it. However, she said that her dog enjoyed cuddling up on it.

That Halloween paranormal story is horrible. What a tragedy! Super RNGP I remember you telling us about that before. My 22 year anniversary is 12/10/10.

Been decorating the tree. Any suggestions for keeping the kitten out of the tree. I just seen his head poke out about half way up.lol. He is to cute to yell at.

The Titans were embarrassing today. Watching the Colts now.

Shout out to Louisa! Good to see you back!

    Linda

    ReplyDelete
  109. Wildhart007

Linda, we used to tie a rope around the tree and attach it to a hook on a nearby wall, so the tree would not topple over from the cats climbing in it.

Trying to keep them out of the tree is almost impossible, unless you can catch them at it, and yell at them.

They don't like to be yelled at apparently and will run away. That will last until the next time.

How are you doing these days since the big birtday celebration?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Dreamer,

    Linda,

I tend to stay clear of that rubbish), that is NOT US... just look for the E! Online Insider Community and the thread is; Robsten Angels- Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Part IX.

Rose I hope you don't mind me spreading the R/K love here in Roseland.. (i.e. other site). I am not the only one of us who comes to do daily homage at your blog Rose... and will continue to do so.

  123. Ode to Feathers:

    Grandma's Feather Bed

    John Denver/listen here:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5kOD9GwxvU

When I was a little bitty boy just up off the floor
We used to go out to Grandma's house every month end or so

Have chicken pie and country ham, homemade butter on the bread
But the best darn thing about Grandma's house was a great big feather bed

It was nine feet high and six feet wide, soft as a downy chick
It was made from the feathers of forty 'leven geese, took a whole bolt of cloth for the tick

It'd hold eight kids 'n' four hound dogs and a piggy we stole from the shed
Didn't get much sleep but we had a lot of fun on Grandma's feather bed

After supper we'd sit around the fire, the old folks would spit and chew
Pa would talk about the farm and the war, Granny'd sing a ballad or two

And I'd sit and listen and watch the fire till the cobwebs filled my head
Next thing I’d know I’d wake up in the mornin' in the middle of the old feather bed

Well I love my Ma, I love my Pa, I Love Granny and Grandpa too
I’ve Been fishing with my uncle, I’ve wrestled with my cousin, I even kissed Aunt Lou… eww!

But if I ever had to make a choice, I guess it ought to be said…
I'd trade ‘em all plus the gal down the road for Grandma's feather bed

Yes I'd trade ‘em all, plus the gal down the road…

… Well, maybe I’d better reconsider about the gal down the road!

    Thank you/portrulz

  124. Good night Wild007!

    DK,
What's your take on the "tome" thing? Rose said she explained it once but I don't remember that. Do you?

    ReplyDelete
  125. *IB*
I do remember Rose addressing it with Syd on the blog and it means Tom.

So, I don't think that there is anything hidden or secret about it, just a slip of a key on a keyboard.

Rose chose not to repeat herself it seems, so if I am wrong about this, than perhaps she will correct me? Or not.

Until then, that's what I read right here on Roseland, lovely.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Well, that makes sense but I must have missed the initial discussion. I am still a newbie at blogs:)

    ReplyDelete
  127. *IB*

You had to be on the blog at the time, and I was.

It really was that simple and it has been strange watching other sites discuss the meaning (and I brought some of that over here to share) of it.

I didn't tell others what I read, as it was not my conversation to repeat. Yet, Rose and Syd know that this is a public blog, ya know.

When Rose said she would not repeat herself, she acknowledged the remark and that it had been explained.

No more free-for-all discussion on Tome, I guess.

My favorite sayings about writing comments on and reading blogs is:

    1. The whole world is watching.

    2. It's a public access (open to everyone, everywhere, anytime, anyplace) blogspot.

    3. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you-in other words be courteous and considerate, if possible.

    4. Don't believe anything you don't personally know as fact, lol.

    5. Take everything with a huge grain of salt (it's to good to be true).

    6. Have fun and be funny.

This is Dreamers take, for what it is worth, as a true Sillybilly, on bloglife.

Words & Music by Don McLean

Winter has me in it's grip
think I'll take a summer trip
    on a sunny sailing ship
where the shells lie in the sand

    I feel so lonely
I'm to young to feel this old
I need you and you only
when the weather gets this cold.

    There's no use in going
cause it's cold inside my heart
    and it's always snowing
since the day we broke apart.

I tried to run from winter
like this spring and summer run to fall
But when the weather's in you
there's no hiding place at all,
    that's why

Winter has me in it's grip
think I'll take a summer trip
    on a sunny sailing ship

The first comment was for you and Bren.

    Bren
The second comment, oh, hell, read them all (how can you help it?) and answer/think whatever you'd like.

  150. Me mock you---Nah....

I was going to mention, about that board as well....I have never seen so many links, you are so right---very well informed....

The only thing that would excite me about 12/10/10 is a wedding, anything else I take with a grain of salt.

  151. Bren
Ha, a wedding would excite you? That's a lovely thought. We believe in marriage, and all of that, don't we!

    ReplyDelete
  152. Actually, we skipped the football bash today, because we wanted to put a dent in the xmas decorating but I guess we're just so tired from the holiday--everyone was kind of dragging their feet today...not really in the mood...so not much got done...

    ReplyDelete
  153. I'm thinking about decorating this year cause I did so little of it, last year.

Maybe I'll even cook a holiday meal if the kids don't want to do so this year. They don't like my odd dishes during the holidays but that's no problem to me.

  154. I absolutely believe in marriage...

Did I mention that Johnny Cash and Maya's daughter Cynthia is getting married in January, and Matt and Nicole are part of the wedding party?..(now that I'm typing it...I probably told you, sorry for repeating...)

I love when people tell me things more than once. There is a very good chance that I didn't get it the first time around, and so the second time is better.

Almost forgot who Johnny Cash was but now I recall. A January wedding, like any other, is wonderful, in my mind.

I said once before (so happy to repeat myself) that I always check out wedding gowns at resale shops and would try them on, I love them so much, except they are for younger, trimmer folks, than I.

  156. We always go all out and decorate, but last year at this time, my dad was in the hospital, and all that got put up was the tree...Have you done any smas shopping?.I have bought one gift....I just don't know what to get anyone this year...

I did hit Black Friday...Nicole wanted a new laptop, so that's really what we went for...well Matt tagged along, he decided he wanted one also....we had to stand in a big ol' mother line for one hour, but when we got to to the register, I ended up getting one for myself...actually it's pretty nice it's a HP with more memory than the one I had.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Bren
Guess what? I need some tea and crackers with cheese, but I will be back here in a flash and you are fishing, I just know it.

    ReplyDelete
  158. That's the second time I misspell xmas tonight...

Actually, Nicole took a list but laptop was the priority..I stood in line while they ran around like squirrels...Matt also picked up a surround sound system, and N shopped for her friends...all in all, they were happy...I on the other hand, was exhausted...

What are the odd dishes you fix for xmas?

    ReplyDelete
  159. Hard times, some years during the holidays, when those we love suffer.

I want a laptop, too. Will you buy me one? HP, you say, that's the PC I have.

    Here's a little rant:
My kids are going to a waterpark with the ex and his gf, after Xmas.

So they told me that they would prefer not to give any presents this year, so they will have money for that. (Lest you forget the Vegas and cruise trips that they have been/are on)and I disagreed, can you believe it?

We need a few gifts under a tree, at anyone's house, and that's final I said. I expect them to buy me some nice chocolate and a fair bottle of wine, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  160. I'm hungry too, R and I went out and had Chinese tonight, but now I'm hungry too, I was chewing on pumpkin seeds, but now I threw some popcorn in the micro...LOL

    ReplyDelete
  161. Hey, you can never go wrong with chocolate and wine, I say...

    Did they love Puerto Rico?

    ReplyDelete
  162. Odd dishes that I have made?

Well, there was a very lovely looking mashed potato dish with sour cream, leeks and bacon bits (yucky, they said).

Then how about bacon wrapped chestnuts instead of rumaki (bacon wrapped chicken livers-a compromise)? Yummy.

And traditional ham with lots of cloves (not a spiral ham) and pineapple slices (from my childhood) double yuck per kids.

The truth is I get bored making the same dishes for 40 years so I improvise a bit. Used to cook French dishes but learned not to waste my money or time on those for no one will eat them except me.

    More?

  163. Branden and Jessica just got on the ship yesterday and I have avoided doing any checking on that online and will cast their fate to the wind, so to speak. They'll be back next Sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Oh, Branden told me at our little TG dinner out the other day, that he has overcome his desire to cast himself into the sea while on cruises.

Two cruises ago, he put his leg over the railing and decided not to jump after all, isn't that marvelous to know? So, he is not even tempted anymore, he tells me.

Maybe he will swim with sharks or pirahna instead this trip.

Love these holiday revelations from the family, oh, yes, just what I need.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Oh, they just left...I'm sure they will love it...My sister and brother in law go on cruises all the time, and they always have a wonderful time....do you think I can get R on one, not on your life...doesn't want to be in the middle of no where on a ship(his theory)...

    ReplyDelete
  166. Once again, I give my heartfelt thanks to Rob & Kristen that they do not do risky things and tell us about them, like my grown children do and tell.

However, I have not forgotten that Kristen and Taylor swam with sharks, what in Australia, and we later learned that it was very scary and not particularly safe for them to do so.

All right then, I take it back, R, K & T probably do and don't tell but sometimes do and do tell.

    ReplyDelete
  167. LOL, Branden is so funny, I can't imagine putting your leg over the rail...it's no wonder you worry so much about him...he sounds exactly like Gwen.

R says he wants to always have control of the situation, and he feels on a ship he wouldn't...especially after my brother in law told him that at night when you stand on the deck, all you can see is the moon and nothing else...I tease him, I tell him don't worry a shark won't jump onboard and eat you...LOL

    ReplyDelete
  168. I give R/K a lot of credit...they have mastered being invisible...no one has a clue where they are...lots of rumors, but no actual sightings...

    ReplyDelete
  169. Yes, you are so right, Branden is so funny and not in a humorous way but in a odd, crazy, excitement freak and death defying junkie kind of way.

Maybe our gwen is similar, as she has told us. Let's cheer them on, shall we?

    R. has the gist of being on a ship although you are not really in the middle of nowhere, for every nautical mile is charted, somewhere, not always when or where it can be found, but you are not lost with the capability of charts/computers. When they are gone, yes, you are soooo lost.

I'd like a cruise that just sits out a ways and we all party on the water with land in sight but I've been on the other kind, too.

    ReplyDelete
  170. R & K are cocooned and in a bubble, together. Makes me giddy.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Did you get the Remember Me DVD? Was curious if he does the commentary with Emilie.

I ordered it on Amazon, and I had taped How To Be on Sundance the other night, and watched it tonight...Rob is so adorable in this.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Yes, I have RM and saw How to Be.

I don't remember the commentary but I'll go and get the DVD and look for you.

    ReplyDelete
  173. I had taped RM on VOD, but of course this way you don't get any of the good stuff...

    ReplyDelete
  174. Well, that doesn't help much...

It says revealing audio commentaries with RP, director AC and cast members. (no info. on which cast members)

I did listen/watch the commentary but don't recall Emilie on it.

How about you let me know after you watch it?

I've seen it twice and it sticks in my mind, so I allow limited viewing to spare the tears flowing.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Let me google it now and ask if she's on it, duh!

    ReplyDelete
  176. Good morning ladies,
Sorry I didn't answer you last night Bren. I fell asleep sitting up with the laptop. I am really a lightweight.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Hey Birdie,

Glad you dropped by...I'm actually getting sleepy myself.

Did you already feed your gang?

    ReplyDelete
  178. I always wake up early. I just go to bed very early. Years of going to work at 5:30.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Bren
I can't get the info. right now and so I'll really have to listen to the DVD commentary, won't I?

Unless you can find out before then.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Birdie
I love that! Soon as you stir loudly enough, you are sunk and must take let them out or walk them?

    ReplyDelete
  181. Bren
What did you have besides the popcorn?

    ReplyDelete
  182. Don't worry about it, I was tracking it earlier, and it shipped yesterday, so it won't be too much longer....did you actually get to hear the whole Eclipse commentary? I've gotten bits and pieces....

    Birdie,

Once they hear you rustling---watch out.

    ReplyDelete
  183. They want to go out, be fed and be pet.....

    ReplyDelete
  184. Yes, I listened to 12 clips and I think that was the total commentary.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Birdie
I would be very happy to be one of your pets, it sounds like an ideal life. Food, play and pet....

    ReplyDelete
  186. Hey, Bren, I think I listened to the clips at Robsten Angels.

    ReplyDelete
  187. That's all, the seeds and the popcorn, but I didn't eat it all, it was tasting too buttery, I only like popcorn when it's hot and it got cold and it wasn't very good.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Is that with Remember Me? I'll have to look at my copy, I can't believe I missed that
