Rob and Kristen- Twirly Together

Happy Chinese New Year!

You may have noticed the red background
(kinda hard to miss)

It's the year of the Rabbit.
I like Rabbits.
I sorta have a thing about bunnies.

Anyway.
I was talking to a friend yesterday...
I was kinda whining to him about how 'ninja'
Robert and Kristen were lately...
And how there really isn't much to write about.
(He wasn't really sympathetic...)
So he suggested the Chinese New Year...
Now
I don't really know much about this tradition.
He told me that Red is a color that brings good luck...
That you 'sweep out' the bad luck
and have a fresh start.

Sounds appealing.

I like bunnies.
I like red
I like good luck.
I like the thought of a fresh start.
We shall see.

A pic from "On The Road"
Kristen is all kinds of adorable, isn't she?
She is.
She is.

I'm looking forward to this movie.
It's an iconic book...
and Kristen and Tom in the same movie?
Win/Win

Is it OK if I look forward to WFE, OTR and BD?
Is it?
Is it possible for a fan of Robert and Kristen to be excited
for ALL of their upcoming projects?
I don't look at it as having one movie do better than the other...
I want ALL of them to do well.
It's not a competition.
(Really... it's not)

I like this picture.
Tom and Kristen...
Tom was looking out for her that night...
He was taking care of her.
Isn't that sweet?

Tom obviously adores Kristen.
(It IS obvious)
When he was being interviewed about
"Waiting for Forever"
(Opening today in theaters)
He was asked about Kristen...

E!OnLine- Marc Malkin  It's not easy being Kristen Stewart.

Though she looks plenty pleased sitting with costar Garrett Hedlund in this just-released still from On the Road, her pal and fellow Road costar Tom Sturridge says he's seen firsthand how aggressive the paparazzi can be with K.Stew.

"I think, you know, with her and with everybody, it's just not fair, especially with like young girls," Sturridge told me the other day while promoting his new flick Waiting For Forever (out tomorrow, February 4) at West Hollywood's Standard Hotel. "It's outrageous. Men chasing young girls? It's terrible."

Working with Stewart on On The Road was anything but terrible. "She's astonishing," Sturridge said. "I think she's genuinely an extraordinary actress, and she does things in the film that I've never seen her do. But also kind of never seen anyone do. Yeah, she was just brilliant." (FYI: He doesn't lock lips with her, but costar Garrett Hedlund does.)

On the Road, an adaptation of Jack Kerouac classic beat novel of the same name, also costars Sam Riley. "It was so weird," Sturridge said. "I remember the beginning when all of us were sitting at rehearsals looking at each other being like, 'How is this responsibility of this film sitting on our shoulders?'"

Sturridge also revealed that he hasn't seen Hedlund's most recent flick, Country Strong. But he doesn't really have to. "Garrett has sung me all the Country Strong songs and acted out whole scenes for me so I feel like I've seen it," he said, laughing.

In Waiting For Forever, Sturridge plays a professional juggler who has a lifelong obsession with a childhood friend, played by Rachel Bilson. "I've definitely been obsessed with a couple of girls," said with a smile. "They didn't work out."

She's 'astonishing and brilliant'
I love it.
I love him.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a friend like that?
Someone who watches out for you...
Has your back at all times...
And defines loyal?

Yes.
I'm crushing a a bit on Mr. Sturridge.
Not hard to do.

And finally...
Robert.

Ah....
Sometimes I really don't know what to say.
Sometimes you find yourself looking at him...
and then forgetting where you are
what you were doing.
You know?

Yes.
You do.

I will never tire of that face.
That voice.
That smile.
That hair.
Those eyes.

.........

Yeah.
See how easy it is to get lost?

One more still from OTR.
Such a cute picture!

I can't help but think back to when Rob
visited her on set...
(Oh he did)
Heh.
Kristen was wearing that shirt...
So I wonder if Rob was there when this scene was shot...

Looks like she's practicing for that scene right here...
Kristen.
Twirling.

It's only right.

And wouldn't you be Twirling?
Look who is next to her?
Look who just couldn't stay away...
Look who...

Can't seem to get close enough...
Looks incredibly happy to see her

Yeah.
When I see Kristen in that shirt...
I will always think back to these pictures.
And how Robert had to go see her...
And the BIG smile on his face
when he gets close.

*TWIRL*

This post is brought to you by the letter *B*

B for Bunnies.
So cute and cuddly.

B for Best Friends.
Rob and Tom.
Um...
Wow.

Bye for now

  3. Good Lord! That picture of Rob should come with a warning label. I don't know if my little old lady heart can't take that kind of jolt!

  4. Speaking of bunnies, anyone ever see Encore's 30 second short of Twilight done by cartoon bunnies? They did New Moon too. Hilarious.

  5. Nice post Rose. Lovely pic of Rob that i have never seen before. The whole thing left me all warm and fuzzy. Nothin' but love. Not one hyena in site...just the way I like it. Thanks

  6. Gorgeous pics. Can't wait to see On The Road. That was my favorite book in highschool, I wrote several college essays on it. We read it my senior year in AP English. We invited an old friend of Kerouac's to come in and speak with the class and reminisce and also went on a field trip to all the places he visted/lived while in Denver. It was awesome, and has stayed with me ever since. Kristen and Tom being in this movie is icing on the cake.

Speaking of Kristen's movies...I got an email yesterday from Netflix! Welcome To The Riley's will be waiting for me when I get home tonight! Perfect weekend!

Happy Super Bowl Weekend ladies! Go Packers!

  8. Everyone, make sure you wear red today. Red for the Chinese New Year, red for L-O-V-E. Such a nice post today, Rose. And I agree, SueBee, my little old lady heart can't take that gorgeous picture of Rob either!!! (although I'm pretty sure I'm older than you; you're beautiful).

  9. Rose,

The red is very timely today.

Someone mentioned earlier that today is the Go Red for Women Day from the American Heart Association.

    Wear that red, ladies.

  10. Cute post today, thanks Rose!
Loving today's banner picture, I think that may be one of my favorite pix of rob & kristen.
Digging the red too, its a nice change!
Really enjoying all the wonderful things Tom has said about Kristen Rose is right, it is obvious that he adores her. That is a wonderful thing for Rob I'm sure!

TGIF everyone! Hope its a good one! I'm in an exceptionally good mood for some reason lol and coming here and seeing this happy post & awesome pix just made me smile more!

  13. Love that picture of Rob, so mesmerizing. He truly takes my breath away. That whole photoshoot was pure gold. I loved the Kristen dancing pic, that shirt will forever bring back the epic R/K nuzzle pics. I really do hope Rob will someday do a film with Tom, they seem so much like brothers and it would be great to see that connection on film.

Penny Lane, I actually thought that's what the red was for when I heard about the site color change this morning. Yes, wear that red!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Dottie

You had me at prune juice!

  16. So happy to see OTR pics of Kristen, Garrett, Sam.
Hopefully, a pic of Tom in character will surface soon too.
Cannot wait to see this movie!!
    Win! Win!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Did you all see this? Another interview with Tom talking about his experience with OTR, another sweet Kristen mention as well.

    http://tinyurl.com/6d27tno

Seems like Tom & Kris both had a great experience working on OTR and working together! It was probably nice having a close friend to go through that intense experience with.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Happy Chinese New Year! LOL! I like the red and the meaning of the color.
God Rob in that picture in the middle...those eyes..stunning!
When I saw the OTR pictures of Kristen in that pink blouse I like you remembered how Rob was on set that day SOOOOO happy to see his girl.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Love this post. Love the red background and love, love, love the OTR stills.
My girl Kristen is going to be amazing!
How can anyone not love Tom? Loyal people like him are hard to come by. They are all lucky to have each other, especially given how F'd up Hollywood can be.
Happy Chinese New Year - I hope the year of the Rabbit it good to you all!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hi, Rose!! Love love that pic of Robert...those eyes...that face...just GORGEOUS.

I am looking foward to see OTR too...can not wait. And yes Rose, it is absolutely possible to a fan of Robert and Kristen to be excited to see their movies and to want to all of them do well...extremely well, isn't that how a fan supposed to be/feel?!?. And the idea of the two of them being in a competition or being jalouse if one do better than the other, is just ridiculous.

I really enjoyed all the wonderfull things Tom said about Kristen, he obviously adores his best friend's girl and he IS such a sweet and loyal friend to Rob and Kristen.

Hi, everyone!! Hope you are all having a great day.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Rose~

Happy Chinese New Year to you too...and everyone else. :) I'm loving the red and the new banner!!

The new stills from OTR are great...Kristen looks amazing. I'm excited to see the movie...I read the book a while back. And I'm looking forward to seeing both Rob and Kristen's new movies (and Tom's too)!

Tom is such a sweetie...and a great friend!! Love that pic of gorgeous Rob!!

Hope everyone has a great Superbowl weekend! I'm looking forward to watching the game. :)

  25. I should clarify...something to make it better. It's a beautiful sun-filled, snow-filled day up in Canada. That's why I take these short vacations to Roseland.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Susan-We actually got some snow/ice here. It's COLD! But I'm in the south so it's all relative, you know?

PS: I'm being coerced into making more cookies!

Brenda-"Something" in the prune juice sounds like a great idea!

  27. Wow your site looks especially nice today! Love the interview with Tom, he obviously cares alot about Krtisten, good to know. lol. I'm watching Remember Me, love this movie, Rob is so freaking hot in it, and their apartment is soooo nasty lmao. WOW! happy Friday! Thanks Rose.

  28. I need a finger food that men like to send to a Superbowl party.

    Any suggestions?

  29. Rose,
Red must be lucky, I got my WTTR DVD in the mail today.WooHoo!
They have really got privacy down to a science. As much as I enjoy seeing them, the pap chases made me anxious(imagine being Rob and Kristen). I would guess their lives are so much calmer now, so no news is good news.
I'm looking forward to all their films and if they don't show near me(no WFF), then I will have to buy them(would anyway).
Hope you are having a Great Friday everyone!

  31. Hello red Roseland! Happy Chinese New Year. I like fresh starts and good luck is always nice.

I don't have a good history with rabbits. The only pet rabbit I had named Stormy (he was a fluffy grey one) became stew after he broke his leg jumping out from his cage (guess who left the cage unlocked?)and couldn't be fixed back up. For the record I didn't eat the Stormy stew. Friends did.

Enjoyed reading Tom's thoughts on the paps and his best friends girl. He is a pretty great guy from what I have seen so far. Hoping his movie makes it to a theater near me.

Sydney- I got WTTR in the mail today as well. I'm thinking movie night is the game plan for tonight.

30- Congrats on your daughter getting the lead in her play! You are one proud mama I bet!

Penny- I have a chicken wrapped in bacon recipe that is super easy and great. When I get done with work in a couple of hours I will post it so you can make it if you want.

I got off easy for the SB party I am going to. I'm in charge of chips.
Hope everyone is having a great day so far. Can't wait to see the Steelers win this weekend. Sorry Rose and all you Packers fans. My dad is from Pittsburgh. It would be sacrilegious to root for the other team! :)

  32. PL- I can't really come up with any great ideas for you besides the obvious things you've probably already thought of..cheese, sausage, chips and taco dip...I know it doesn't sound much like a "men" food but my husband loves to bring that veggie pizza you make with the cresents and cream cheese mixture with vegges on top.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Penny here are a couple of tried and true "Guy" food for A Super Bowl party...I can take credit for neither of them they were sent to me

    Jalapeno Poppers

    24 jalapeno peppers
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    2 garlic cloves finely minced
    1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
    1/2 teaspoon chili powder
    1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs beaten with 1 tablespoon milk
    1 cup bread crumbs
    Vegetable oil for frying
Wearing rubber gloves, cut stems off the jalapenos approximately 1/2-inch from the top. Save the tops. Using a small knife, remove the seeds and membrane.
In a small bowl, blend together the cream cheese, garlic, cilantro, chili powder and shredded cheddar. Fill the inside of the peppers with the cream cheese mixture. Over fill with the cheese and press the top back on each pepper. Wipe off any excess.
Place the flour in a bowl, the egg/milk mixture in another, and the bread crumbs in a third. First dredge the stuffed peppers in flour, second in the egg, and then roll in the bread crumbs, being sure to cover the entire pepper. Place on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Heat approximately 2-inches of oil in a deep-fryer or saucepan to 350°F (175°C). When the oil is hot, carefully place 3 or 4 breaded jalapenos at a time in the pan and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until golden brown (do not overcook). Drain on paper towels, and keep warm in a 200°F (95°C) oven. Filling is hot!
    Makes 24 poppers.

Wings served with celery sticks and blue cheese dipping sauce.

Buffalo Wings with Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce

    2 1/2 to 3 pounds chicken wings
    3 tablespoons vegetable oil
    1 tablespoon hot-pepper sauce
    1 teaspoon paprika
2/3 cup (4 ounces) Wisconsin Blue Cheese, crumbled
    2/3 cup sour cream
    4 teaspoons white wine vinegar
3 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped - divided use
1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
    1 to 2 tablespoons milk
3 celery stalks, cut into sticks
Preheat broiler. Cut off wing tips; discard. Split wings at joint. Place in 1-gallon resealable plastic bag. Combine oil, hot pepper sauce and paprika. Pour over chicken, turning to coat pieces evenly. Marinate while making sauce.
In small bowl, combine Wisconsin Blue Cheese and sour cream. Stir in vinegar, 2 tablespoons green onions and pepper. Whisk in 1 to 2 tablespoons milk until sauce is smooth. (Or pulse in food processor.) Sprinkle the top with remaining green onions. Refrigerate if not using immediately.
Broil wings 10 to 15 minutes, until lightly charred and no longer pink inside, turning occasionally until crisp and cooked through.
Remove to platter and sprinkle with a few more dashes of hot pepper sauce, if desired.
Serve with the celery sticks and Blue Cheese dipping sauce.

  34. Penny:

I have a ton of appetizer recipes. This is always my assignment for get togethers.

Chipotle Lime Bacon Wrapped Shrimp: kinda labor intensive, but so so good.

Bacon Cheese Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes: Also kinda labor intensive, but a huge crowd pleaser.

Cresent Roll Ups: easiest thing ever. I've been asked to make this several times...so people enjoy it. It is simply Pillsbury crescent rolls stuffed with chive and onion cream cheese and bacon crumbles.

Stuffed Jalapenos: Oh God, nobody doesn't love these...halved jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and bacon with a slice of chedder on top and a splash of lemon baked in the oven until melty and delicious.

Buffalo Chicken Dip: YUM. And really easy.

Roasted Red Pepper Roll Ups. This one is easy too. It's store bought dough rolled out, cut into twisty strips stuffed with roasted red pepper, garlic and parmesan. I was suprised at how well these were received.

Deviled Eggs: I make these several different ways...some with bacon, some with jalapeno, some with dill.

Brenda's idea of potato skins would probably be really well received with a bunch of men. Or with me. I love Potato skins.

Or, if you want to make your life easier...go to Hooters and pick up a bunch of wings.

  35. Wow, thanks everyone for all the suggestions.

  37. Thank you Rose for the great blog post today.
Once again, love the new banner color.
    Happy Chinese New Year!
Thank you to the Roselanders that have given us the reminder for Go Red.

It is heartwarming to see how Rob, Kristen, and Tom are all part of the wonderful Brit Pack family. They sure do protect, support, and care deeply for each other which is impressive.

There is a line in the novel OTR
( page 253/ Penguin Books) where Sal tells Dean that all he hopes for is to someday to be able to live on the same street with their families and to get to be a couple of oldtimers together.
That made me think of the strong friendships that these young people have and how they may very well be able to maintain them for a lifetime.

The 2 released pictures from OTR with Krisen and of course the ones with Rob are all so wonderful. Can hardly wait to see Tom's character, Carlo. This will be a fascinating film.

Rose, the picture of Rob, which I had not seen before, is mesmerizing. He has the most beautiful eyes. Thank you for posting it. Where is it from?

The sun is out and the roads are finally clear. It was a lovely, lazy, quiet morning. Got out to run errands around noon with no problems. Extra bonus.......the weekend is upon us!

So glad you asked for finger food possibilities PL. The recipes and suggestions sound so yummy! I always love hot wings, but to be honest, everything sounds awesome.

speaking of Viggo, Im one of those who wish she got the role of Snow White in that movie, I think it would be a great role for her, a bit of a change. plus, she so looks the part already :D

and yes, Tom is amazing. I need to check out all the interviews because Im afraid that is all I have until the movie comes out on DVD

  42. Hi Carly...I agree with you, I feel she could do so much with the Snow White role.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks Rose, for the great words to accompany beautiful pictures.

OTR sounds like it was a great experience. Both Kristen and Tom already sound so proud of it. And we were fortunate to get those special behind the scenes shots when Rob visited Montreal.

I agree Susan, the picture of Rob does jolt the heart - those eyes…No one can take a picture like he can. I’m always amazed by the many faces of Rob – the shmexy, devilish rogue; the happy free spirit; the adoring boyfriend with eyes only for Kristen; the beautiful thinking man – and I love them all (in a respectful, non-cougarish kind of way – to borrow Jentoo’s words from this morning)

So, in the spirit of Chinese New Year, continued good fortune to Rob, Kristen and Tom for their current and future projects. I’m sure, as great friends, they wish that for each other.

Happy year of the Rabbit, everyone.

  52. Chicken wrapped in bacon:

3 skinless/boneless chicken breast cut into bite size pieces

1 pkg of uncooked bacon- cut each bacon strip lengthwise.

1 pouch of Shake and Bake

    1. Cut up chicken into bite size pieces.

    2. Wrap bacon strip around chicken

    3. Roll in Shake and Bake mixture

    4. Insert toothpick into each chicken piece to hold together.

Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with various dipping sauces.

Obviously you might need to double/triple the recipe depending on how many are expected.

  73. Fran,

I beg to differ. I think calling someone names and criticizing their grammar is a verbal attack, so to speak.

Again, what do you gain from that other than to show us your personality?

  74. I'd rather talk about the darkside cookies and yummy appetizers!

I've made that fruit dip before. It's sooooo good!

Fried apple pie, do you buy it or make it yourself? I'm intrigued.

I just got caught up on the cookie part. Hmmmmm...I could probably come up with a darkside cookies recipe.

If I had that recipe, I would definitely share! They were so yummy.

The other day I had these sliced, deep fried jalapenos.

Slice jalapenos, dip in batter, deep fry. Serve with ranch dressing mixed with a few dashes of hot sauce.

I think the batter was the same as for onion rings.

I suspect the little trolls share the wealth among several sites. I'm sure we're not the only ones that are lucky enough to be visited. They are desperate to share their super secret knowledge with the masses.

    ReplyDelete
  87. You want truth and facts Fran..here they are. You're sad, you spend your time on line posting stuff about someone who could care less what you think or do and you think it's funny. You come here and attack us and you think it's funny. Nothing about you is funny it never has been it's sad. It's sad that this is how you have fun. I THINK and I have to admit that it's been 21 years since I was 21 but I think that there are better ways to spend your time than being a foul mouthed abusive little twat. Now Good day.

    ReplyDelete
  88. And one last tiny little thing, and yes you're laughing at me and that's fine I honestly do not care. You make fun of other people's family and find it funny. I think I just answered my own question as to why you're on this blog on a Friday night instead of out...No one wants to be around a vile and disgusting excuse of a human being like you.

You can say what you like about me, you can call my husband names, but at the end of the day...I'm loved, I'm happy and I'm married..You are spending your time on line making a fool of yourself and you think it's fun. Wow if you ever have children won't they be proud of you for this.

    On to more happy matters!
BAFTAS are in a little over a week! Hope rob & kristen's schedules work out so they can go! I'll watch the BAFTAS either way but it would great to see them there. I think there is a brief break between baton rouge & vancouver production. Guess we just have to wait & see what happens!

  115. Hi Dottie - I'm good, thanks. Glad it's Friday. I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend to chill out and do whatever comes to mind. I'm thinking a movie would be good. Since I can't get to see Waiting for Forever here, I may try The Black Swan. Do you have plans for the SuperBowl?

Hi Rhonda - hope you had a good day. You didn't miss much - just the same old boring rantings. Are you going to take in the game on Sunday?

    ReplyDelete
  116. Freddie, No big Super Bowl plans. Hubby will watch it & I will enjoy some ME time! haha

    ReplyDelete
  117. Freddie- Yes, I'm going to a Super Bowl party with some friends. What about you?

I'm disappointed WFF isn't playing here either :(

    Thank you, whoever you are!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Dottie - enjoy the ME time.

Rhonda - sounds like it will be a good time. No SuperBowl parties planned here. I expect I'll watch part of it in any case.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Well, for you ladies that don't enjoy football or have no interest in the superbowl, you can always watch the puppy bowl on animal planet!
Who can resist cute little puppies running around playing?!

    ReplyDelete
  121. Freddie- You can always come to my party :) If you start driving now do you think you can make it by Sunday? LOL...

    ReplyDelete
  122. I'm drawing a blank here, I don't remember, but has Kristen ever presented an award at an award show? I know she did an introduction at the oscars, but has she ever presented an award? I can't remember

    ReplyDelete
  123. Rhonda - Ha ha. You might rethink that when you realize that Tomas would have to come too. You shouldn't be subjected to the howling.

Groovie - I saw the commercials for the Animal Bowl tonight. It looked cute.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Freddie- That's okay. He can hang with my Thomas. Of course, you do realize that my Thomas would be a very bad influence :)

    ReplyDelete
  125. Groovie- I'm not sure if she has ever presented or not???

    Puppy bowl sounds cute :)

    ReplyDelete
  126. Freddie - ha ha. They would be quite the pair. Tomas would probably love making a new buddy.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Rhonda-
I don't think she has...I have an excellent memory for random things like that and I just can't recall. Lol she probably has and its probably something obvious and I'm just forgetting it.

And the puppy bowl is beyond adorable! Its a makeshift football "field" with cameras set up everywhere and they have 2 teams of puppies that they rotate in and they just run around and play for 2 hours.
I'm a total sucker for animals, especially puppies. I'm a total tomboy, typically non-sappy, hide my emotions type girl lol but those damn puppies just make me melt.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Ladies - if you're still there, I'm going to call it a night. Hope you have a good day tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Just finished WTTR. Wow. Trrrragic. But beautifully so. Reminds me of Speak. Kristen's vulnerability, which she does have in every role somehow, but in these movies just makes me want to hug her and make it all better.

Makes me want to go back thru my life and redo any and all moments where I was mean or cruel or snapped at someone...who knows what they were going thru.

Ah...all introspective. Yeah, I've had some wine. But I think the mark of a good movie is thinking about it when it's over, needing to talk about it. I wished it wasn't over, when it ended...another mark of a good movie.

Anyway...sorry. Just wanted to share. Has anyone else seen it?

    ReplyDelete
  130. Goodnight Freddie :)

    I'm checking out too.
Have a great night everyone :)

    Bye for now..

    ReplyDelete
  131. Sydney- Awww...I agree. When a movie makes you feel that way..you know it was done right.
Did you expect anything less from our dear Kristen?
    I can't wait to see it :)

    Have a good night :)

    ReplyDelete
  132. SYDNEY-
Yes, WTTR is an excellent film and kristen was amazing in it!
I like that they kept it real and it ended with a sense of hope, in my opinion. They were all headed towards better things and I think they probably continued to be there for each other.

I read the script before I saw the film and the ending was changed and I like it better. The script had a happily ever after type ending which didn't feel realistic to me at all. So I preferred the way the film ended.

I know the cast & director etc did Q&As after some screenings and I don't know if kristen was ever asked this, but I would love to hear her take on what she thinks happened to mallory after, like what story/course does her life take from there?

    ReplyDelete
  133. Groovie:

Interesting...I didn't know it had an alternate ending. I'm generally all for happily ever after, but I'd agree with you. It wouldn't seem plausible. The story wasn't developed enough to reasonably believe in the happily ever after right away. But they left it open for hope. And that was enough.

Such excellent acting. Kristen was heartbreaking. Melissa Leo is a new fave. I've seen The Fighter as well and she blows me away. James Gandolfini was great too...he slipped a bit on the Southern accent, but his character was entirel believable.

    Great movie.

I'm watching The Social Network now which I cannot believe I haven't seen. Half hour in and I'm totally obsessed.

    I’m Looking Through You

    Beatles:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nGVaLkCQAg

I’m looking through you, where did you go
I thought I knew you, what did I know

You don’t look different, but you have changed
I’m looking through you, you’re not the same

Your lips are moving, I cannot hear
Your voice is soothing, but the words aren’t clear
You don’t sound different, I’ve learned the game.
I’m looking through you, you’re not the same

Why, tell me why, did you not treat me right?
Love has a nasty habit of disappearing overnight

You’re thinking of me, the same old way
You were above me, but not today
The only difference is you’re down there
I’m looking through you, any other way

Why, tell me why, did you not treat me right?
Love has a nasty habit of disappearing overnight

I’m looking through you, where did you go
I thought I knew you, what did I know

    I’m Only Sleeping

    Beatles:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmLPvJJB3RA

When I wake up early in the morning
Lift my head, I’m still yawning

When I’m in the middle of a dream
Stay in bed, float up stream (float up stream)

Please, don’t wake me, no, don’t shake me
Leave me where I am - I’m only sleeping

Everybody seems to think I’m lazy
    I don’t mind, I think they’re crazy
Running everywhere at such a speed
Till they find there’s no need (there’s no need)

Please, don’t spoil my day, I’m miles away
And after all I’m only sleeping

Keeping an eye on the world going by my window
    Taking my time

Lying there and staring at the ceiling
    Waiting for a sleepy feeling...

Please, don’t spoil my day, I’m miles away
And after all I’m only sleeping

Keeping an eye on the world going by my window
    Taking my time

When I wake up early in the morning

    I’m So Tired

    Beatles:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxJOpr6Y5yI

    I’m so tired, I haven’t slept a wink
I’m so tired, my mind is on the blink
I wonder should I get up and fix myself a drink
    No,no,no.

I’m so tired I don’t know what to do
I’m so tired my mind is set on you
I wonder should I call you but I know what you’d do

You’d say I’m putting you on
But it’s no joke, it’s doing me harm
You know I can’t sleep, I can’t stop my brain

You know it’s three weeks, I’m going insane
You know I’d give you everything I’ve got
for a little peace of mind

I’m so tired, I’m feeling so upset
Although I’m so tired I’ll have another cigarette
    And curse Sir Walter Raleigh
He was such a stupid guest.

I’ve got a feeling, a feeling deep inside
    Oh yeah, Oh yeah.
    I’ve got a feeling, a feeling I can’t hide
Oh no. Oh no, Oh no,
    Yeah I’ve got a feeling.

Oh please believe me, I’d hate to miss the train
    Oh yeah, Oh yeah.
And if you leave me I won’t be late again
Oh no, Oh no, Oh no.
Yeah I’ve got a feeling yeah.

All these years I’ve been wandering around,
Wondering how come nobody told me
All that I was looking for was somebody
    Who looked like you.

    Ev’rybody had a hard year
    Ev’rybody had a good time
    Ev’rybody had a wet dream,
    Ev’rybody saw the sunshine
    Oh yeah, Oh yeah.

    Ev’rybody had a good year,

    I’ve Just Seen A Face

    I’ve just seen a face,
I can’t forget the time or place
    Where we just meet.
She’s just the girl for me
And want all the world to see
    We’ve met, mmm-mmm-mmm-m’mmm-mmm.

    Had it been another day
I might have looked the other way
And I’d have never been aware.
But as it is I’ll dream of her
    Tonight, di-di-di-di’n’di.

    Falling, yes I am falling,
    And she keeps calling
    Me back again.

    I have never known
The like of this, I’ve been alone
    And I have missed things
    And kept out of sight
But other girls were never quite
    Like this, da-da-n’da-da’n’da.

    Falling, yes I am falling,
    And she keeps calling
    Me back again.

    If I Fell

    Beatles:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xol53Z0ADQE

If I fell in love with you
Would you promise to be true
    And help me understand
‘cause I’ve been in love before
And I found that love was more
    Than just holding hands

If I give my heart to you
    I must be sure
    From the very start
That you would love me more than her

If I trust in you oh please
    Don’t run and hide
If I love you too oh please
Don’t hurt my pride like her
‘cause I couldn’t stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain

So I hope you see that I
    Would love to love you
    And that she will cry
When she learns we are two

    If I Needed Someone

    Beatles:

If I needed someone to love
You’re the one that I’d be thinking of
    If I needed someone

If I had some more time to spend
Then I guess I’d be with you my friend
    If I needed someone

Had you come some other day
It might not have been like this
But you see now I’m too much in love

Carve your number on my wall
And maybe you will get a call from me
    If I needed someone
    Ah, ah, ah, ah

If I had some more time to spend

    In My Life

    Beatles:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3wvUwb4p4Q

    There are places I’ll remember
All my life though some have changed

    Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments

With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I’ve loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new

Though I know I’ll never lose affection
For people and things that went before

I know I’ll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Now you’re coming, you’re coming home,
I’ll be good like I know I should,
You’re coming home, you’re coming home.

Ev’ry night the tears come down from my eyes,
Ev’ry day I’ve done nothing but cry.
It won’t be long yeh, yeh.

Since you left me I’m so alone,
Now you’re coming, you’re coming home,
I’ll be good like I know I should,
You’re coming home, you’re coming home.

    Ev’ry day we’ll be happy, I know,
Now I know that you won’t leave me no more.
It won’t be long yeh, yeh.

    Thank you/beatlesboxset2009

    It’s All Too Much

    Beatles:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uynqqiir52s

It’s all too much, It’s all too much

When I look into your eyes, your love is there for me
And the more I go inside, the more there is to see

It’s all too much for me to take
The love that’s shining all around you
    Everywhere, it’s what you make
For us to take, it’s all too much

Floating down the stream of time, of life to life with me
Makes no difference where you are or where you’d like to be

It’s all too much for me to take
The love that’s shining all around here
All the world’s a birthday cake,
So take a piece but not too much

Set me on a silver sun, for I know that I’m free
Show me that I’m everywhere, and get me home for tea

It’s all to much for me to see
A love that’s shining all around here
The more I am, the less I know
And what I do is all too much

It’s all too much for me to take
The love that’s shining all around you
    Everywhere, it’s what you make
For us to take, it’s all too much

    It’s too much.....It’s too much

Too much too much too much.

    Thank you/doctorzaius77

    It’s Only Love

    Beatles:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uv46hTWP7uk

I get high when I see you go by
    My oh my.
When you sigh, my, my inside just flies,
    Butterflies

Why am I so shy when I’m beside you?
It’s only love and that is all,
Why should I feel the way I do?
It’s only love, and that is all,
But it’s so hard loving you.

Is it right that you and I should fight
    Ev’ry night?
Just the sight of you makes nighttime bright,
    Very bright.

Haven’t I the right to make it up girl?
It’s only love and that is all,
Why should I feel the way I do?

It’s only love, and that is all
But it’s so hard loving you
Yes it’s so hard loving you -- loving you.

    Thank you/LuluBeatles

Hey, is it really you? I've finished posting the Beatles for tonight, and am also done with True Blood Season 1.

    How are you feeling?

    DK

    ReplyDelete
  148. Thank you to all the well-wishers, I think I am going to survive....

    DK,

I do believe you have turned into a little Beatle machine....lol

    ReplyDelete
  149. @Bren
You may be right, that's all I hear in my head these days, although there are worse things.

    ReplyDelete
  150. That's funny, you can only think and sing Beatle now...

I Love, "I'm Looking Through You", and "If I Fell".....

word verf. tatels--is this anything like Nicole's tattletalers..lol

    ReplyDelete
  151. Did you enjoy True Blood?

    Hi Gwen!,

Where did you go, girley, girl?

    ReplyDelete
  152. @Bren
I did enjoy it and I didn't. It's a mixed bag, like all shows can be. I mean it's love, hate, murder, jealousy, joy, sex, sadness, hope, just like life, and I do really prefer life to fantasy.

Funny, I say that and am here on Rose's blog, but I am here for the real people she honors, R & K, and other Roselanders.

The acting is excellent and the production, too. Love the dialects, scenery and how the Louisiana (southern) life style is depicted. Plus the scripts are very well done.
All of those factors about it are wonderful IMO.

Makes we want to go back to New Orleans and then visit a friend who lives in Baton Rouge, and experience the ambiance in deeper ways than I did.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Nicole is here and she watches True Blood, she says she didn't think last season, was that great, but season b4 last was really good..of course, this is her opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  155. When is Mardi Gras this year?

    I usually know this...

    ReplyDelete
  156. Nevermind, Fat Tuesday is March 8,I just googled it... I guess we will be having a late Easter....

    word v...bastr-----oh dear.

    ReplyDelete
  157. @Bren
Don't know if I'll watch any of the other seasons, so much of that is on the news every day, only minus the vamps, shifters, werewolves, etc. Maybe aliens will be popping up next, who knows?

Time for other things, that make me happy instead.

    ReplyDelete
  158. @Bren
I'll give myself away and say that I was a big "Cheers" fan, both the original and later seasons.

And then, "Moonlighting" with Cybil Shepherd & Bruce Willis was another favorite.

As a teenager I exercised with Jack LaLanne's show in the mornings, too.

That's me, Miss Wholesome and Sappy, and I like me that way, for it is a fantasy that is fun. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  159. Bren! How are you?

Hey ya DK! Just got home frm work on d weekend :-(

    ReplyDelete
  160. @Bren
Enough about me. Got the SBowl stuff in order and ready to party on Sunday?

Did you see the great sounding appetizers that were posted on here earlier today?

    ReplyDelete
  161. @Gwen
Working on a weekend, how come? Must be a busy time for you.

Any special, fun plans for tonight and tomorrow?

    ReplyDelete
  162. Stephanie Meyers book "The Host" is about aliens, so we are there...

I loved Bruce Willis in Moonlighting, never cared for Cybil..(stick up the wazoo)

    ReplyDelete
  163. Gwenie,

I'm glad you are here...it's Sat. afternoon there, right?

    How is it going?

    ReplyDelete
  164. DK-no im just spending my weekend at home, watching movies, more boring stuffs, lol. Yeah, so busy got additional workload again. One of my officemate is in indefinite leave coz of her sick mother so half of her work goes to me.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Bren- all is good, i think, to me. So what team are you. Dont know much bout SBowls, its the american football right? I feel so idiot asking this, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  166. DK,

Full steam ahead with the Super Bowl festivities...

Picked up the helium today, for the balloons...will tie them off with streamers and let them float to the cathedral ceilings.

Steve is bringing "Max" tomorrow morning (a smoker that resembles a locomotive) and park it in our driveway...that's where all the meat will be prepared.

    ReplyDelete
  167. @Bren
Read "The Host" almost to the end, but lost interest. I must be really dull, and I might as well embrace it.

Or I don't like to read much fantasy either, except pure romantic ones like Twi Saga, P & P, Brontes, and lots of others.

But who cares what I read, they are busy with their own likes/dislikes, right?

    ReplyDelete
  168. @Bren
Sounds decorative and tasty and you'll have a great time. I'm happy for you, as that is a good way to celebrate your recovery, and everyone's, too.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Sorry, not all meat...burgers and dogs will go on the barby....

    ReplyDelete
  170. Gwen,

Are you still considering going to school for pastry chef?

Is Catwoman still giving you a hard time?

Double work at a place you hate, is not a good thing...

    ReplyDelete
  171. Bren- looks fun fest! Will you be watching at home w/ family and friends?

Im still thinking about pursuing it but as of now im enjoying and tolerating my job coz of my friends here. The work is bearable but not the boss :)

    ReplyDelete
  172. SHE'S ALIVE!!!!!!

Bren it is so good to see you back!

    DK and Gwen,
Where have you been strangers? I have missed you girls.

    ReplyDelete
  173. @Bren
I've been hoping to get to a particular hot dog place in River Grove for the whole month of January. Couldn't get there by closing at 3am.

Now that place has been chosen by Serious Eats as the #1 best hot dog in the USA, and it's called Gene and Jude's.

There were always lines to wait in there, but wonder how long we'll have to wait after this award?

Oh, well, some things are worth waiting for forever.

    ReplyDelete
  174. DK- any plans for the weekend? Dine out w/ friends, meet new man? ;) Is the weather improving there?

    ReplyDelete
  175. @Birdie
I've been watching the entire first season of True Blood for two days. Then, since I really didn't have anything new to add to all of the great comments already posted, I've been lurking and smirking.

    ReplyDelete
  176. I was just reading some of the comments and someone mentioned Ted...I didn't get to see what the troll said, as it was deleted...but Ted was really a jerk today...giving the nonstens hope.

    ReplyDelete
  177. @Gwen
I am plum out of ideas to entertain myself, which is a certain state of cabin fever setting in. Don't want to go out and don't want to stay in, so I drift, from moment to moment. Limbo rocking, and fan dancing.

    ReplyDelete
  178. I'm not fond of Ted, and avoid his blog, but as you know, others quote him, so I do get an idea of his comments and intent.

    ReplyDelete
  179. @Gwen
I did buy a strawberry whipped cream yellow cake but haven't had any yet. Maybe on Saturday, as a celebration of strawberries.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Hey Birdie,

That was funny....actually if you would of seen me a few days ago, you might not have believed there would be a recovery...lol

    Are you working today?....

    ReplyDelete
  181. I dont get why some people read Ted's blog, there's nothing worth reading there.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Bren,
Glad you are able to have your SB party. I'm going for the Packers(neighbors and all).
    DK,
I never got past the first season, not sure why. Have you seen Modern Family? I rented the first season from netflix and think it is hysterical. That is if you are looking for some laughs.

    Gwen,
You have been a dedicated little worker bee. No time for any adventures?

    ReplyDelete
  183. @Gwen
Any more tweets from any sweet sports stars?

    ReplyDelete
  184. DK-yummy!

Birdie- lol yup Bren is alive in Roseland again!

    ReplyDelete
  185. DK-yummy!

Birdie- lol yup Bren is alive in Roseland again!

    Verif word- "hooti" lol

    ReplyDelete
  186. @Birdie
Yes, I've seen Modern Family a couple of times, and it is very amusing. Good suggestion.

There's a comedy club not too far from here and I'd like to go there again. There are some really brilliant comedians around.

Anyone remember Emo Philips? He lives somewhere in Chicagoland and his shows are multi-layered, pure brilliance, that hits you over and over. Wonder if he is still performing?

    (Verf: "satis man")
Wouldn't you know it, kind of one-sided isn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  187. Bren, how many are coming to your party?
My baby sister is here and we will all get together at my parents. Not as fun as your party.

DK, are you going to a local establishment to watch? I recall that you are not a huge football fan, right? But the festivities are just as fun.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Sorry double post :(

DK- nope he's on his way here from England so no tweets from him and i havent check my twitter.

Birdie- oh i have an adventure last week of Feb. I have an early summer vacay! We are going in some, shall we say "slightly hostile" place here but the place is beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  189. Gwen,
Were you getting tweets from one of those cute football brothers?

    ReplyDelete
  190. I am having so many problems posting....takes forever and then they disappear....I logged off let's see if this works...

    THIS IS A TEST>>lol

    ReplyDelete
  191. @Birdie
I do like football, and might go out to eat and watch the game, if this funk I'm in gets funked out.

Otherwise, well, there is no otherwise at this time.

    ReplyDelete
  192. Birdie- hostile humans lol. I've got tweets from the GK. Im more into him than the brothers. Im making my sked this wed. vacant coz they have a game vs. Mongolia.

    ReplyDelete
  193. DK,
Are you getting the winter blues? No better way to get out of the funk than to get out. Lots of happy, crazy people out on SB Sunday. But you know all that!

    ReplyDelete
  194. ok back to the posts that disappeared....

    DK,

I would love to go to Chicago for the famous hotdogs...the best at the Gene and Jude's what would that hotdog be?

About Ted, he actually said Kristen had hooked up aith a cast member other than Rob, cuz the filming being so long, has taken a toll on her...

Then all the sickos jumped up and wanted to know if it was another female, or was it a threesome with Nikki...

I heard Ted was going to be revengeful, cuz AT didn't get to interiew Rob for the GG's, and T was not happy...JERK!

    ReplyDelete
  195. Hey guys have you seen the BTS of Kristen Vogue photoshoot. She looks gorgeous in old HW style. Check it in Robstenation.

    ReplyDelete
  196. Is GK another football player and you have talked on twitter? What kind of hostile humans and where are you going? I know,Iknow so many questions...

    ReplyDelete
  197. I saw those Gwen. I think they are channeling Elizabeth Taylor.

    ReplyDelete
  198. Birdie,

Our football crowd consists of ten couples....they will be here, plus my kids got to invite four friends each, my 2 sisters and their husbands, my mom and grandmother, and my in-laws...lots of people, lots of food, I'm sure lots of fun.
