Waiting for Tom Sturridge... Forever.

Waiting For Forever.
Feb 4th, 2011

GO SEE IT!

Don't you want to see that face?
And hear that voice??
Oh I do.
So much.
I mean... seriously...
How many times can I watch "Pirate Radio"?
(Obviously a lot of times...)

Tom and Rachel Bilson at premiere in Los Angeles last night.
Rachel is so lovely.
What a cute couple.
(Is Rachel still with that Hayden guy?)

But Thomas...
A couple of things...

1. The beard.
I'm actually a fan of beards.
But you have such a purty face...
Why.
Why cover it up in any way?
But still...
You look adorable with the beard as well.

2. The beanie.
And here's where I say I'm a fan of the beanie.
And I AM.
But if its not the beanie...
It's that baseball hat.
And you have that head of floppy hair...
always hiding from us.

and last but not least...

3. The sweater.
Because as some people pointed out last night...
That sweater looked oddly familiar.
Where oh where did we see this sweater?
It was only a matter of moments
(perhaps seconds)
That someone found exactly why the sweater looked so familiar.

Right.
Robert wore it during a photocall for Goblet of Fire.
Yes.
That's right.
The Goblet of Fire.
From October 2005.

And truly...
If you look at the pattern on this sweater...
It's probably the same one.
Which makes me smile really big...
because some clothes will never be retired...
and some clothes are always OUT there...
And I find it ALL KINDS OF CUTE
that Tom is wearing the same sweater 5 years later.

That kinda gives me hope for...

The Stoli T-shirt!!!
Is it still in the rotation?
I mean...
If 'hobo-ing' goes back at least 5 years...
Does that mean there is hope it will surface
sometime in the future?
Surely he wouldn't have had someone sew up the rips
if he didn't still want to wear it...
Right?

So Tom was interview extensively yesterday...
I'm sure he was asked about Robert.
I'm sure he was asked about Kristen.
I'm sure he was asked about Rob and Kristen.

There was someone who tried to stir things up
by making up some quote that Tom supposedly said
about Rob and Kristen.
I'm thinking he wouldn't do that.
Those are his friends.
And I'm guessing his friendships mean more to him
that any attention he might get by talking about them.

I had mentioned on Twitter that
I <3 Tom.
And I do.
Immensely.
And it had nothing to do with what he may or may not have said.
Actions speak louder than words.
Although...
He DID say that
Kristen is an extraordinary actress.
And I love that for a couple of reasons.

Kristen IS an extraordinary actress.
And Tom obviously cares about her as a friend.
(and as his best friend's girl ;)

And just listening to him say
extraordinary
will make me smile for hours.

In closing...

This post is brought to you by the letters *B* and *W*

B for Best Friends!
Can you imagine what it would be like to hang out
with Robert and Tom?
Oh Kristen...
You are a lucky girl.
Indeed.

W for

WAITING FOR FOREVER!
Seeing Tom
Hearing Tom
Loving Tom

Go see it!

Bye for now

  1. Love this post....a lot....for obvious reasons ;-)

I only wish I could go and see Waiting For Forever, but there is no UK release date.

So thank you Rose for brightening my evening a little with the pretty pictures.

  3. I'm excited for this movie to come it. I've been waiting for a good movie to go see in the theater...this will offically be my first movie of 2011! Tom is a extrodinary British man who has a couple of extrodinary friends.
    Hello to all Roselanders today!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I wonder if Waiting For Forever is in my area. I'll have to check.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Freakin' arctic winds down here in the 'Bootheel' but seeing this post about TOM...makes me all toasty inside. =0) Thanks Rose.
I'll happily stare at the dreamy Tom on a 12 foot screen....as for that sweater..hee hee. Rob and Tom, brothers-from-another-mother, I tell ya. Heart them. Heart Kristen. Heart Rob and Kristen. Heart Rose for this Tom post.

  6. LJ, there is a release date, but it's just not mentioned. I looked on the Showcase, and it's an upcoming film.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Does anyone else think it's a little pathetic that people can immediately categorize these clothes as to when they've been worn and who wore it?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hi Rose,

Tom looks really cute in those pictures with Rachel . It looks like a good movie. As much as I’m looking forward to hearing that voice, I’m going to miss the accent. I’m a sucker for the Brit accent. I’m going to try to see it this weekend. (disclaimer: I may not be able to see if 5 times like Gruff suggested, but I’ll try to get there at least once). Good luck to Tom on the movie.

We know that Tom is a great friend to both Rob and Kristen. There’s no doubt about that. That type of lifelong friendship is very special. I’m sure it means a lot to Kristen to hear Tom’s wonderful comments about her acting.

Do you really think it’s the same sweater… LOL?

I hope everyone in Roseland has a good day and that eveyone fared well with the bad weather.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I'm actually looking forward to seeing Tom in this, and no doubt On The Road with Kristen.
I've got The Boat That Rocked on DVD to watch one weekend and I finally managed to buy The Cake Eaters on DVD, 'cause it was released in the UK a couple of weeks ago.

  10. I'm right there with you Rose. I cannot wait for Friday. This movie looks good and Tom was so good in Pirate Radio, so I'm excited for this movie.

On a side note, Welcome To The Riley's arrived in the mail today. I loved this movie when I saw it in the theaters and I cannot wait to watch it again. Kristen, Melissa, and James were so good in this movie. Kristen embodied the character of Mallory and made you want to pull for her. This movie was an emotional journey and I enjoyed every minute of it. Well fellow Roseland, I am off to watch WTTR.

Those in the eye of the blizzard, stay safe and warm. Sending all of you cyber hugs and hot chocolate.

    ReplyDelete
  11. This movie does look cute & I'll definitely go see it. I think its limited this Friday, comes out here in Phoenix on 2/11 anyways. I loved Pirate Radio, didn't even know Tom was in it when I first watched it when it came out, was a pleasant surprise!
So, Tom wearing Rob's old sweater eh? Does that mean we have hope that Rob or Kristen may someday show up wearing Tom's infamous duck sweater? Lol!

Oh and Hi Everyone! Hope you are all doing well! :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. @PL- I'm with you on the pathetic...to be honestly I hardly notice what they are wearing I'm too distracted by their faces!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hi, Rose!! Lovely post

Aww, Tom looks adorable and cute on those pics. I really want to see Waiting for Forever but don't know if/when is going to get released here in Portugal.

Hello, Roseland!! hope you are having a great day.

    Hugs to all

PS: Best of luck to Tom with this movie.

    ReplyDelete
  14. After Pirate Radio, I would be willing to see any Tom Sturridge movie. He's great all on his own. No need to even mention Rob and Kristen.

He's cute, really cute, but there is also sex appeal, accent or no. He looks like someone I'd love to have a drink with. That's enough for me.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi Roseland, hope you are all having a fabulous day!

    Very cute pictures, Rose :)

I would love to see this movie, but I do not live in a select city.....hopefully I can see it soon!

    Stay warm out there!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I love that Tom said Kristen is an "extraordinary actress" too.

The movie is not scheduled for release here in Dallas on friday. Do not understand why because this is a big market.

Freddie...did you get pounded by the snow??!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I love how Liza got the first comment. LOL Hi Liza! :)

As for the adorable sweater. I love it, just for the fact these three are so down too earth, not jaded not stuck up. Millionaires, but you would never know it.

I am a bit upset though. I looked thoroughly for" Waiting for Forever" here by me. With no luck WHY? Why dont they give these movies more of a wide release? I mean how can we support them when it's not out by us? :( So I ask you all who are lucky enough too have it out by you. Please see it, if you do that might give it a chance by me. LOL I am still waiting too see WTTR for Christs sake!

    ReplyDelete
  18. i wouldn't believe everything you read online...

  19. HappyFran,

Really?? TEDS BOARD? Enough said! Those posters are mental patients!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Aaaahhhh the infamous Stoli t-shirt...good,good times. <3 WFF with Tom&Rachel looks good too. ;D

    ReplyDelete
  21. This movie looks really good, I love Rachel Bilsen, and thought of her as Bella when I first read Twilight lmao...not anymore. haha. This should be a great part for Tom. The deal with the sweater cracks me up, I can see them digging around each others closets. too funny. thanks Rose Stay warm easterners. I'm in Cali, it's like 67 today ..not to rub it in ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hi Hope - actually I don't think we got as much snow as they were predicting, and because it was made to sound like the storm of the century, many people worked from home today (including myself) so I think traveling was actually quite easy today. That said, the roads were a bit slippy for driving, so I'm glad I didn't have to go too far.

How about you? Did I hear that it got really cold where you are and did you and the family get to spend another snow day together?

HappyFran - LOL - are you serious???

    ReplyDelete
  23. 30- just checked and its not playing near me either...hopefully soon!

    ReplyDelete
  24. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.

    ReplyDelete
  25. HappyFran - It's a lovely idea but in the middle of filming Breaking Dawn how likely is it that Kristen Stewart has ime to hang out on Rose's blog?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Like I told ya all. Typical She's a "Ted" poster! LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  27. OMG...Has ONE SINGLE THING that ever came from the AT Boards EVER been true??? Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Syndey, I smell troll shit anyway. No one (well I hope) is that gullible.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Birdie...I was just gonna say. To borrow from Annie...hmmmmmmm...

    Something ain't right.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oh dear HappyFran..you can dress up your posts as innocent as you like but you will always be as obvious as a smack in the face I'm afraid!

    Hi ladies :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Good afternoon Roseland!

Can't wait to see this movie! One of the best things I love about Tom is he's just Tom. A what you see is what you get kind of guy. Real! Low key. Adorable!

30 Had a good laugh at your AT comments. I couldn't agree more!

Cutiestar thanks for the hot chocolate and cyber hugs! Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah, giving the benefit of the doubt but we're usually right

    ReplyDelete
  33. Tom is right, Kristen certainly is an extraordinary actress! It will be cool to see them in OTR together. I enjoyed learning about Tom's audition & casting in OTR, good stuff!

As far as the Rob's Stoli shirt...its probably held hostage in the back of Kristen's closet or something lol!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I don't see WFF near here on Friday, but maybe it will be coming. I love that Tom is true to himself and to his friends. I don't think he appears to be to impressed by the Hollywood fluff. I hope his movie does well!

    Who still plays with dolls?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Freddie....yes...K had ANOTHER day off from school. The ice is treacherous and our driveway is an ice skating rink.
Hopefully, school will resume soon.... I do not know how many more episodes of "Full House" I can take. LOL

30...spot on...and her favorite is the Bella doll!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hi Angelica!

The "dolls" comment is a give way for me. :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. 30: I could play this role 200 different ways. This troll cannot even maintain a new identity for one post. I mean, I know we're not dealing with the brightest star in the sky...but it would really be so easy. Perhaps we should know who it is strictly by their 'acting' skills. Has jealousy ever been this obvious?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Happyfran and brains have a common denominator between them.

    Just saying.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hang in there Hope, but I think I'd be ready to slit my wrists too if I had to watch too much of that stuff.

Hi 30, Angelica, Sydney, Birdie, LJ, Groovie, Brewski, Addicted, Katy, Kay and everyone else I missed.

    ReplyDelete
  40. How tedious.

I see some comments going to the trash bin...

    Thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Delete, delete, delete, delete.

    My favorite words.

I have to go to a work happy hour and I'm gonna spend the whole time on my phone I just know it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I just have to say I have a new found admiration for all you ladies dealing with snow and crazy winter storms. I'm outside having a smoke on my lunch break, its 40 degrees & super windy (note that THAT is freezing to me) and I'm seriously shivering & can't feel my fingers! Lol
I know a lot of you are a lot worse off than me so stay safe & warm!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hey Rose :)

It is rubbish so I vote bin!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hi Freddie!
I have to tell you, everytime I see your username I think of "Troop Beverly Hills" when they are doing the badges and dance and that song comes on "do the freddie"
    Makes me smile!

I love that movie! I watched it daily growing up, still think I know every word lol!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Haha! I just popped in and noticed the new posts....that seriously made me LOL! What a great "new" rumor to start....Not so much!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Groovie - Ah, I've never seen it. I'll have to take a look now.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hi Roseland :)

Warm thoughts to everyone! It's 35 and alerting here I can't imagine how it is for all my Northern friends.

And look at it this way...

At least she picked a name that started with something other than "M"!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Stupid auto-correct!!!

    35 and sleeting!!! Lol

    ReplyDelete
  49. Rose I was really looking forward to what you would write about Tom and the sweater. (heehee) As for the Stoli shirt, I just kind of assumed Kristen had hijacked it and it's currently being used as a night shirt!

On a side note.... I smell a rat. The sooner Rose takes out the trash the better IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Freddie-
Its one of those awesomely epic, yet silly, 80s movies!

It has Craig T. Nelson, Shelly Long & a young Jenny Lewis in it. I had no idea Jenny Lewis was in it until just recently and I was like woah! That's jenny lewis?! Blew my mind! Lol

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hey Rose,

Gotta ask, since you're a diehard Packer fan like me, do you own a Cheesehead? LOL Rumor has it they make excellent flotation devices. I keep mine handy to stay afloat especially when wading through the nasty foam. Go Packers! Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  52. @Groovie- I watched that is a kid too! Definately a "classic"!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Looks like I missed a troll drive by...hmmm can't say I'm sorry. Not feeling the whole troll thing today.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Leigh at least you're right they do seem to be branching out and away from the letter "M"

    ReplyDelete
  55. AHHHH the air smells cleaner already. Thanks, Rose!

Now.... back to Tom talk! I think the sweater brought out the color of his eyes. Anyone agree? haha

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hi Rose,

I think something is wrong because I posted a comment and now it is gone.

First I LOVE your blog and the comments here are always so good too.

Second, I heard a rumor on the AT board that Kristen posts here as Smitty. Is that true and if so can you tell me when she posts because I would really like to tell her how great she is. I would also like to ask her if she is taking the Snow White role also--she would be awesomeness in that character.

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  57. HI ROSE and ROSELANDERS...I'm sitting at the local pizza place waiting on my hubby to join me..the smell is sooo good..I am starving..I just ordered a glass of wine..I will sit back and watch the "wheels go round" here and at the restaurant...It is MUSIC night and my husband plays EVERY WEDNESDAY night here with whatever fellow musicians show up. ROSE...I so want to see Toms movie. I will check the listings and see if its playing here. I'm excited for him...I hope it exceeds all expectations.

Thanks for asking about me. I have survived and although I am surrounded by high snowdrifts, I am warm and safe. Wishing the same for you all(not the snowdrifts part).

Tom, Tom, Tom-that's everything I'll say, for you've all said it so well, there's no need to add to it.

Happy Hump Day! Hugs out to all!

  59. Rose~

Great post...love the pics of Tom...he's such a cutie! The movie looks great...I hope it comes to a theater near me. It was soo sweet what he said about Kristen...I think that she's an extraordinary actress too! In an interview, that's posted on Robstenation I believe, they asked him about his duck sweater...his answer was soo cute...something about it keeping him warm when he is cold and that he likes it :)

I miss the Stoli shirt too...wonder where it is??

Hope everyone has a great evening and stays safe and warm. The kiddo had school today, but we're getting the snow now!!

  60. I was on the last post wondering where everyone was...duh...a new post....I must have snow sickness!

Hi Soup and DK, my lovlies!

    HappyFran~Why are you here?

    ReplyDelete
  61. @Fran- I'm sorry if it seems that way...it's just DO NOT believe everything you hear when it comes to this fandom.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I thought I read somewhere that the Stoli shirt was MIA.

    ReplyDelete
  63. HAPPYFRAN....Whoever told you that R and K post here are absolutely "out of their minds". Come ON...get a GRIP...I mean REALLY..We are just a bunch of middle aged women for the most part...WHY would those "kids" want to have ANYTHING to do with a bunch of "foul mouthed, cookie baking, singing bitches like us???? (Eye roll)

    ReplyDelete
  64. I remember an interview where someone asked about the shirt and he said it was lost...actually it was on the Kimmel Show!

    ReplyDelete
  65. We sure as hell ain't laughing with you.

Groovy- Troop Beverly Hills was my most favorite movie of my entire childhood.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Addicted....great minds think alike..

Super~Well stated....really, like R and K aren't busy making one of the most antipated movies in recent time?!?

    ReplyDelete
  67. LOL how funny...people are actually saying that we have celebrities hang out on our blog? Sorry to disappoint you "Fran" but why on earth would they want to hang out with us? We DO have superstars though..we just don't like talking about them, but I will tell you this one. There was this person once...who had a dog...shhh super secret things here I'm sharing here...I might get kicked out...but this dog...was a bitch..and she looked an awful lot like Rosalie from the "Twilight" movies...she was gorgeous...but still she was a bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  68. No. Smitty is an old dear friend of mine... And she introduced me to Syd.
    Nothing more to it.
    Sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I heard that Brad and Angelina posted here.

Hello, I admire you more and more, living in an igloo for so long, you're awesome.

    @MLH414
    Lynn, howdy to you.
    ********************************************

About the Stoli shirt...on one TV show, where the audience could ask questions, a lady asked Rob where it was.

He first asked if she had it, and then said it is missing.

Later that lady, who has a blog (don't remember which one) told her followers that she had sent him a new Stoli-T, to his agent's office. That t-shirt was rare and hard to find apparently.

Have never heard Rob mention receiving it or seen him wearing it. Anyone recall this incident or have any other info?

    ReplyDelete

I don't need continuous internet, for I love conversation, candles, fires roaring, wine and great company, as I believe you and yours would be.

Oh, and the stories I would tell you, from the vaults, not abridging them for content, ha, ha.

    ReplyDelete
  89. 30...And I forgot to add the "boozing" part.lol

  90. Hi IB - wow, you're expanding the igloo. You'll have a bed and breakfast soon. Glad to hear you're surviving (and still laughing).

Hey DK - the shots of Chicago on the news look wild. Stay safe.

Hi 30, Super - hope you are both well.

    ReplyDelete
  91. DK~You wouldn't mind the dog sled for transportation, would you? As far as the glow of candles, well, I must say the whale oil lamp gives off a lovely glow that I know you would enjoy:)

    ReplyDelete
  92. @30
Oh, you know how much I love to vote on things.

By all means, I vote for Super "Soup" and her quote of today-as the best.

And, I vote for the original poster of it, who was beaculen I think? Correct me if it was someone else, please.

And, I vote to be Katharine Hepburn, who is channeling through me, and so will be posting on Roseland, too.

    ReplyDelete
  93. @Freddie
Crazy times in the Windy, snowy City! I'm almost too careful and thus, a little dull right now.

    *IB*
When I lived in Ely, Minnesota, I went to the dog sled races there, and I could so travel that way, especially if the musher is close to me for hours in the wilderness (male musher please).

  94. We're all celebrities. Everyone knows that. Pffft.

No, no, autographs will have to come later.

On a side note, just had some awesome hot wings. Soooo hot.

Not sure if I want to bake cookies, booze it up, swear a whole bunch or sign up for AARP.

    Decisions.....

    ReplyDelete
  95. *IB*
Every woman is more beautiful in the glow of a whale oil lamp, so that would be perfect for Dreamer.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Katherine Hep..., I mean DK, are the calla lilies in bloom?

I think Happy what's-her-name has left the building. All of you celebrities must have scared her away.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Freddie,

I'm sorry I can no longer give out autographs.

    DK,

You know you cannot have ice cream before you eat your dinner.

I'm going now for my weekly injections. Daddy has to take care of you now.

  98. Dreamer sorry I didn't answer you sooner dear, but I was preparing your favorite...Mushroom Ravioli with lemon, butter garlic, cream sauce and didn't have time...we wuv you too precious!!

  99. I want to be Shiloh.

Suebee: I am a hot wing connoisseur. Where did you get them, or did you make them?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Susan - "swear a whole bunch" tends to go hand-in-hand with "booze it up", so you could get a two for one if you choose "booze it up".

    ReplyDelete
  101. Brad, I mean Kami,

You know one of those kids is allergic to mushrooms. I think it's that middle girl one.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Sydney

The hot wings came from Pizza Hut's Wing Street. Mine were extreme heat. Loved it. My lips are still feeling it.

    ReplyDelete
  103. You're so right...Shiloh...I MEAN SYDNEY...no dinner for you tonight!!

  104. Wahh! *stamps foot* I wanna be someone too!!

    ReplyDelete
  105. Is it wrong that I just gagged a little bit when I realized I can name all the Jolie=Pitt children in order of birth/or adoption?

    ReplyDelete
  106. Kami,

That is pretty bad. I haven't a clue that's why I said the middle girl one, hoping there actually was a middle girl one.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I'm so famous, my personal assistant is typing this for me.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Thanks Kami...I mean Daddy.

SB~While your assistant is typing, your hands are free for the booze

    ReplyDelete
  109. Hi Rose & Kami, angelica, DK, dottie, IB, Addicted, 30,Sydney, Leigh, Freddie, Super and Susan!! Did I miss anyone still on? (hugs) sent your way...

Loved these pics of Tom...he is just all kinds of cute...

Not too sorry to have missed the troll...great work, gals!

BTW, I'm a bit scared you know all the names of the Jolie-Pitt kids...LOL

    ReplyDelete
  110. *IB*
Kate says, "No, don't be silly girl! Calla Lilies, in the winter?"

Gotta love Kate's New England phlegm...

    ReplyDelete
  111. LOL Penny, that's when I realized I know all their names and birth orders...it was shocking.

    ReplyDelete
  112. IBelieve

Yep, that way I can put a drink in each hand. :o)

A few more and then I can figure out where to go for rehab.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Ok I know that the "Loons" comment is from "On Golden Pond" but the Calla Lillies, is that from Sylvia Scarlett? or which movie?

    ReplyDelete
  114. Hey Kenzz, how are you? Surviving the weather in your neck of the woods?

    ReplyDelete
  115. *IB*
Loons, which ones? The birds or me and my pals from there?

Truly, they all were wondrously sleek and their calls, sounds from out of this world. I saw moose and deer but no wolf until I moved to Duluth.

    ReplyDelete
  116. You ladies are a hoot! LOL

I need to run now. We have a playdate w/Suri :D

    ReplyDelete
  117. *IB*
You have to ask for Kate's response, so I know who you're talking, too, sweets.

Calla lilies is from "Stage Door" and oldie but good of hers.

    ReplyDelete
  118. @dottie
    Bye for now.

    @Kenzz
Hi, for now, nice to see you.

    @MLH414
Thanks for liking the songs, maybe I'm channeling John or George now, too. What fun!

(Word verf."sum sico") Would that be phonetic for "some sicko"?

Again, such fun is to be had around Roselanders!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Everyone pretends they dislike the Jolie-Pitts. But everyone knows everything about them.

It's like Ice Ice Baby. Nobody likes it. EVERYONE knows every word.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Time for a mini alcoholic drink, since I've started making typos
(a sign that my brain is calling for a particular form of sugar for fuel renewal).

Who'll raise a glass with old Dreamer?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Sydney

    Stop! Collaborate and listen....

    Damn. You're right!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Ringa-ling-ling, gotta answer this call, be back later.

    DK

    ReplyDelete
  123. Freddie: still alive here in our neck of the woods, despite Mother Nature's best intentions! How is it where you are?

DreamerKind...I just love to see which songs you post next...it's a real treat, and sometimes even broadens my horizons...sending a big bouquet of gratitude your way :)

    ReplyDelete
  124. WTH??!?! You really aren't just a bunch of foul mouthed, cookie baking, booze drinking, singing bitches? Crap....now where am I going to find a blog full of those?

    ReplyDelete
  125. ok, I am going to change the subject and ask everyone a question...Half-Way Bill (hubby) came home with one of those new HD LCD tv's for the Super Bowl....its picture moves so fast, I am having a headache from it and feel like I am carsick....anyone else have a similiar experience.....or problems watching these new tv's???

    ReplyDelete
  126. Kay: Nope, evidently we're a bunch of foul-mouthed, cookie-baking, booze-drinking, singing CELEBRITIES!

I'm actually Valerie Bertinelli...and believe me, it was a bitch losing all that weight! (haha...certainly no offense meant towards VB...she's quite an inspiration)

    ReplyDelete
  127. IB...how close are you sitting to it?

    ReplyDelete
  128. DK- you know I will. I am right now. Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I'm actually PDiddy. Did the avi throw everyone off?

    ReplyDelete
  130. IB...and how big is the new TV?

There is some ratio they recommend for size of the TV vs distance viewing...

    ReplyDelete
  131. Oh good Diddy you're here...I was hoping you could fix me up with some Sean John clothes for all these male children.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Just got to watch Tom in Pirate Radio on HBO. great way to end the day

    ReplyDelete
  133. IB when we got our LCD it was hard getting used to it, kind of like watching a giant computer monitor, you'll get used to it in a few days and won't notice...until then though it will be rough

    ReplyDelete
  134. Hi everyone!

*IB* Hi: Did he buy a 3D HDTV?

    ReplyDelete
  135. Ange...I mean, Kami

You know it, sister. Got the hookup.

    SueB...Diddy

    ReplyDelete
  136. Excellent disguises Susan and Kenzz! Kami/Brad....how come you haven't shared the mushroom ravioli recipe with us yet...not like you haven't had plenty of chances!?

    ReplyDelete
  137. Kay

Yes, I figured they would never catch on if I pose as a short, white woman.

Hope this woman doesn't mind that I keep using her pictures.

    :o)

    ReplyDelete
  138. Susan: at least "she's" pretty!!

seriously, your new pic really is gorgeous :)

    ReplyDelete
  139. Kay, well it's new and it's in flux so to speak. I found some mushroom ravioli at the Super Target..and I made a cream sauce for it, it's wonderful, but I have been getting help from Penny who has made it with improvements to the sauce, and together we're prefectting it...once we do I'll share.

my ver word is Puta...i resent that

    ReplyDelete
  140. OK, Kami, I will try to suck it up but it is sucky right now

Annie~No, it's not a 3D, Half-Way Bill thought 3D was gimmicky and we were wondering if it would really catch on

    ReplyDelete
  141. Believe,

I can't help with the TV situation. My husband insists we don't need a new one because ours still works. It is 10 years old, not HD. I'm lucky it's not B&W

    ReplyDelete
  142. PL~I remember getting our first color tv when I was little...we were so impressed by it!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Kay,

I use Buitoni wild mushroom agnolotti which is just funny shaped ravioli.

    Kami,

    Did you try the tarragon?

    ReplyDelete
  144. I must say the picture on this tv is crisp and bright...I watched New Moon on it this afternoon and I saw things I missed in the theatre....it looked like you could reach out and touch Bella and Edward!

    ReplyDelete
  145. Penny, yes I did. I also used heavy cream again and the flavors were really good

    ReplyDelete
  146. I also have to mention that with the HD Kristen's face looks even MORE expressive. You see every little expression ...she is just awesome!!

    ReplyDelete
  147. *IB*: I don't think much of 3D HDTV either.
Maybe the problem you're having has not only to do with the size of it but with everything looking so much clearer, brighter and detailed.
What was the size of the television before this one?

I have an HDTV as well but I never felt the effect of being carsick when viewing it but it did take some adjustment. It definitely is a different viewing experience but a great one. I love my HDTV! :)

I agree with Kami on this.....give it a few days.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Well, I have to go take JRM for a walk now or it won't get done...have a good night everyone!!

Good night Valerie, PDiddy, Brad, Angelica, Shiloh, Maddox, Zaharra and anyone else I missed! :)

    ReplyDelete
  149. If anyone's interested in a Healthy past Alfredo, let me know and I'll dig it out and post...

guaranteed not to taste as good as Kami's recipe, but not a bad alternative if you're looking for a high fiber, low fat, low sugar, chock-full-of-veggies meal! My fam groans when I announce that's what for dinner, but they end up eating it and saying "Wow- this is good." (I know, they're probably just being polite!)

    ReplyDelete
  150. Annie~Thanks for the info....I will try to stick it out...I think that all of the reality shows have shakier cameras....maybe that is it...also, even the commercials move fast and flick so maybe that is what I am exeriencing

It is the same size as the tv it replaced...that tv was hd too but it was and early model like 8 years old...one of those big hunkers

    ReplyDelete
  151. *pasta*, not *past*

too much cheer this evening, me thinks

    ReplyDelete
  152. Goodnite, Kay (I couldn't find which celeb you were tonite...sorry)

    ReplyDelete
  153. Kenzz yes please post the recipe...I am always looking for low fat ways to make things I love. and I love alfredo.

    ReplyDelete
  154. *IB*:
Also experiment with sitting closer or father away and see if this makes a difference.....Is your television 1080p or 720p?

If it's 1080p, you should be about 6 feet away. If it's 720p, you should be about 9 feet away.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I am NOT the only one who believes Kristen Stewart posts here. Just so you know I email with a lady on that board and she said she watches this place all the time because it is quite obvious that Kristen, Tom and even Rob sometimes posts here. They all know Rose and Rob was even fighting with someone who insulted Rose the other day. Plus she said that when they would post more they would slip up all the time and call each other their real names.

Maybe you have not caught on yet but it is common knowledge to a good deal of the fandom. I don't know why you would not be more excited really??? Are you not at all fans of them?

    ReplyDelete
  156. HF~I have been here quiet a while and have never experienced one of these "slips" you described. I think I would be savvy enought to pick up on a "slip" so I don't know what you're taling about.

    ReplyDelete
  157. HappyFran:

    Someone's pulling your leg...

    never happened

    ReplyDelete
  158. HappyFran - I direct you back to Rose's earlier response. That is your answer.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Well Happyfran if a friend of a friend said it then it must be true. However what happens in Roseland stays in Roseland. We never talk about ANY of our friends (meaning every non troll poster on the blog) and their personal lives. So we can't help you.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Fran~Listen to Kenzz besides IF they did post here don't you think every Tom, Dick and Harry would be here??? As you can see, it's only us.

    ReplyDelete
  161. No idea what you're talking about and I've been around here for quite a while.

    ReplyDelete
  162. HappyFran - I've known Smitty for years. She's an old friend who introduced me to Syd. I'm not sure where this information is coming from.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Maybe Rose is just saying that to cover up?? I can't copy and paste but my friend saved a ton of this stuff and it looks like it to me. I think you all need to pay better attention to it when those people post.

    ReplyDelete
  164. HF- you just used this approach the other day - oh I heard from the AT boards that Kristen posts here. I realize you've been through dozens of monikers and approaches, but are you really that unimaginative?

    ReplyDelete
  165. OMH HappyFan, give it up please! We have no idea what you are talking about. And if people are that SAD and desperate too lurk here and use there OWN assumptions from commentators I call them SAD. Rose answered you already correct? Now move along if this is your only reason here. Okay.

    ReplyDelete
  166. HappyFran, once again WE DO NOT DISCUSS anyone on the blog with people we do not know. People have a right to privacy here on the blog. Just because P Diddy...I mean Susan wants to post here every day..that's his..I er mean her business.

    ReplyDelete
  167. People that "met" at some other site were talking about it on the AT board. I know it gets crazy there but there are also some interesting people who really put two and two together and were watching things here. Even in some of the blogs it is obvious that Rose has some insider information and she always has little messages to Smitty or Tom or Rob.

Its fine if you don't want to admit it but alot of people think it is true.

    ReplyDelete
  168. HappyFran:

Really, we're all just a bunch of old bored housewives/grannies here...

I PERSONALLY assure you that no one famous would ever find us at all interesting enough to follow ...

    thanks for checking in, though...

    ReplyDelete
  169. HappyFran we do not need you or anyone else to tell us about our blog. We do not discuss our friends, no matter which friend they are...I value my privacy and I hope people protect me like I try to protect them. Please mind your own business

    ReplyDelete
  170. Kami

    Damn straight!

    :o)

Thanks for not giving me away!

    ReplyDelete
  171. Hello Rose and Roseland!

What a great post of Tom. I hope his movie comes to my part of the world.

HF, have you been at this all day? Give it up hon. Kristen does not post here.

    ReplyDelete
  172. HF~I have a ton of posts too...about buying a piece of the Brooklyn Bridge....are you interested? I can get you a share CHEAP!

    ReplyDelete
  173. You misunderstood me Happyfran, the only thing I will admit is that you're pissing me off. Do not put words in my mouth

I do not feel that our blog is your business.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Hi Rose,

Love this post. Tom looks so adorable with Rachel. I can't wait to see this movie :)

Liza- I love that you got the first post ;)

    Hi Freddie,Penny,Angelica,Hope,Kenzz,30,Sydney,Kay,Annie,Susan,IB and anyone I missed :)
