So I skipped a day from posting.
I seem to be doing that more often...
I think it's because this fucking fandom
needs a big old diaper.
Something with elastic sides and extra thick padding
to hold in all the fucking leaks and shit.
I'm tired of all bullshit about the leaked photos.
People being all self righteous and saintly
Shouting from the top of their golden soapbox
yet still looking at every picture...

The leaks aren't even as bad as the shit.

I was very upset about the OTR picture leaks because all of them were of Kristen as her character Mary Lou and yes i do believe that it might be someone who wants to harm Kristen's career and OTR success. I also wish that the Rob fans who hate Kristen would just focus on him and his career and leave Kristen alone

Like everyone here, I’m feeling angry and disgusted about the leaks. It was bad enough that so many BD pictures were leaked, but for other personal and professional photos to be released, it is contemptible. I can’t imagine how Rob and Kristen feel. I hope they are managing through it as best as possible. While there still seems to be hunger for “seeing” the pictures, at least fewer people are reposting them – I suspect for their own self interest (protection) rather than out of concern for Robert and Kristen. Very sad. I remember Kristen saying that she didn’t want her personal life to be “entertainment” for others. Her words take on a whole new significance now. And the possibility that someone is out to “disparage” her in particular is very disturbing.
I hope Robert and Kristen hang in there, and I hope they know that there are real “fans” out there that share their outrage over this action, and will, as Angelica put it so aptly yesterday, defend them whether they need it or not.
Oh and Syd, great take down yesterday morning. I was smiling all the way through reading it.

You are so right in all your posts, and honestly since I started reading your blog I have become an even bigger fan of Rob and Kristen (I didn't think that was possible). Hypothetically speaking, based upon the..ermmm..enthusiastic...responseto Rob's comments on MTV, if he were to say, during his next filmed interview perhaps - "I love Kristen Stewart so back off" - either she will be canonised immediately or the delusional harpies will hurl themselves,en masse, off the nearest cliff. With Rose's words leading us onward past the topic of things that too many have seen when they shouldn't have, I'd like to shift the focus to something that perhaps not enough have seen... but should have.
Apologies if this has been posted before, but it is such a wonderful and appropriate antidote to all the hate and stupidity that it bears repeating.
This is what no less a talent than William Hurt had to say about Kristen during a press conference for The Yellow Handkerchief in February 2010:
"I think that she’s holding her own, that she’s courageous, that she’s inventive, and that she’s got character oozing out of her, and I say, 'Give her a break. Who is she to pander to your idea of what she’s supposed to be?' She has every right in the world to express herself exactly as she chooses to, and she’s got a lot of surprises up her sleeve."

Personally I could do with a few more "leaks" like that.
So with Kristen's birthday only 3 days away, I'd like to suggest that we do just that -- "leak" the great things that co-stars and critics have said about Kristen, sharing them right here on the Roseland blog every day between now and Saturday as our gift to her.
The good news is that there are plenty of wonderful things that have been said -- more than enough to drown out the din of howling hyenas.

Email hacking is a very serious crime. And too add too that stealing images that could cost the production company mega money. A huge million dollar company like Summit who has the funds too do so could defiantly go after these people. Yeah the fact that OTR leaks have come out too as well as BD, makes me agree that it's an attack on Kristen. It must become tiring.

BD was enough, OTR as well, I've seen the image which has been taken down - but BD was enough. She's had her breakthrough from the saga but this was a huge one - OTR. And people have to go and leak images with that.

I too heard on twitter the OTR pix were leaked, but am also pleased to report NO ONE posted them as far as the people I follow were concerned. (I must follow the right people). It is so sad that all of this is going on, and I hope that those responsible are brought to justice. As PR Pro and said, the penalties are very severe!
I must also agree, it is very generous and big-hearted of Kristen to continually hang out with such an unattractive guy! More power to her!
I have a different take on the leaked OTR pictures, whoever's seen it knows Kristen is the main focus but what was odd to me was that there was a pic of Tom thrown in there also so if its from someone who's out to make Kristen look bad, didn't make sense to throw that in there. Probably from some "fan" who thought they were doing everyone a favor by giving a peek of a top secret movie. Those with common sense knows that's not the case. But there are people in this fandom (and from both sides) who don't really think rationally. Unlike the BD leaks, the OTR ones look like they were taken of either stills or from some sort of trailer, doesn't look as raw and unedited to me.
Whatever that person's intentions were, who would really ever know?
On the other hand, those "Nonnies" who are re-posting these pictures and spinning it in a negative light against Kristen, just goes to show how ignorant they're being. Read the book.
Not gonna lie, i have seen the leaked OTR pics, and all it made me want to do was to see the movie even more.
Loving all ofm the WFE promo stuff. MTV interviews bringing up the wedding scenes. Josh thought they were all ready done till Rob told himm no. I really liked his face when he was talking about not seeing the wedding dress at all. Looks like Bill is keeping the "groom" in the dark. Hope they catch his first look on film. It should be very hard for him not to show his true emotion at that point. Hope after Kristen's birthday all of this "break" gossip slows down too. All of the leaking and splitting stuff is so old it is getting Forks moss all over it.

I am just curious and wondered if you might explain what options Rob, Kristen or any other celebrities have when a journalist inserts such a incredibly rude and obvious statement of conjecture in an otherwise decent article? It seems to me that this statement gives Elle a couple of advantages....I assume that if they have to publicly apologize for their unprofessionalism, they wouldn't do it without some proof and being able to say something to the effect of "we apologize to Mr. Pattinson and Ms. Stewart, as we've found that their relationship is much more than we portrayed it to be...." they get the big scoop of "outing" them officially. If nothing is said or done, they get the attention they were looking for. I know the point is to sell magazines, but this seems to stoop to tabloid levels that I always thought they were above.
What other kinds of options does Rob or any other celebrity have when these things happen? Are there typically behind the scenes apologies and reparations? Do they have the luxury of refusing future articles with either the magazine or journalist, or does a studio promoting a movie have more say than the actor in who they give an interview to?
Thanks for answering if you have a chance, I was just curious to know what types of recourse are available to them when this type of stuff happens. You always give us such interesting information on these things.

It seems like these magazines nor matter how formerly reputable will go to any lengths to be the ones to be able claim they got them ( one or the other) to admit that
they're a couple.
Personally, I find the tactics by these journalists pathetic and wonder where their sense of decency is.

I am in shock over that supposed quote re: the nature of their relationship in Elle (You sure it wasn't Examiner or Enquirer?)..That was incredibly crass,and so unprofessional...seriously, who would print that except a tabloid? I'm just so discouraged and disappointed... :(

Annie: I just went to Elle.com and sent them a blistering email on their Contact Us page re: the implication of R&K being f*ck buddies...I told them it was stupifying that an editor had allowed this obviously biased "journalist" to editorialize in such a tabloidish fashion. Elle, shame on you!

Hi ladies my name is berta and i am a Kristen and Rob fan and twilight fan. i am also very upset with the comment made by the Elle reporter because they scooped down to the tabloids level and they did to an actress who has been on their cover twice and who won their elle fashion award.
Kenzz - I cancelled my subscription to Elle UK this morning and told them why,in no uncertain terms.
I may be in the minority here, but I saw the furor on Twitter and assumed the Elle article was super insensitive and totally crossed a line, but reading it here now, it really doesn't seem that bad.
Yeah, it's tacky to insinuate that they're fuck buddies, but they're not the first people to assume that. I've never had a high opinion of Elle magazine so I'm not all that shocked.
I'm glad people are writing in and complaining...it's unprofessional and insulting to insinuate something like that based solely on conjecture. But they won't be the last to wonder and comment on the nature of their relationship.
And in the grand scheme, it makes no difference what they say anyway...same as the nonnies. Rob and Kristen have pretty thick skins. They want this to be theirs...and it is, no matter what anyone says.
I get the impression that the reporter was coming on to Rob.
WTF with some of the questions. For example.........."What would you like to happen to make tonight unforgettable? Anything you want."
Again, WTF. Those questions are loaded with sexual inuendo.
I think the reporter didn't get what they wanted and stooped to the lowest level posible with the introduction to the interview.

I dont know if there's a comments page for story but don't comment anywhere on the Elle website. since that just gives them hits, which they can then use to sell ads.

Here are soms general guidelines --
Do not attempt to refute the reporters statement in terms of whether or nor Rob and Kristen are actually dating.
Focus on the inappropriate interjection of personal speculation about an actor's private life, with absoulely no evidence offered to support the supposition.
State that you have always admired the writing and reporting of Elle's celebrity interviews. Mention that they are usually respectful and accurate while aslo engaging the reader's interest and offering isnights into the persononalites of people being interviewed.
But you are both disappointed and angered by recent comments made by the reporter who interviewed actor Robert Pattinson for the May issue.
The reporter crossed the line when she took it upon herself to categorize the relationship between two people --both of whom who have taken great pains to refrain from speaking about their personal lives -- as a casaul sexual relationship; and in so doing not only violated their privacy and impuned theior characters, she also violated journalistic ethics.
Her comments were especially egregious considering that the subject of the interiew has often expressed exactly the opposite attitude about casual sexual relationships in countless other interviews.
So not only was the reporter's comment a violation of journalistic standards, an unwarranted invasion of privacy -- it was also shoddy reporting since clearly she didnt even bother to research Mr Patttinson's attitude about such things.
As a result, the article has rnished the Elle brand name.
Conclude by saying that you believe that Elle and the reporter should issue an apology for the inappropriate comment, and make it very clear that it was totally her own conjecture, She should also apologize to the parties involved.
Otherwise you will be forced to cancel your subscription; if you dont subscribe then say that you have purchased your last copy of Elle.
Remember to always address Rob and Kristen as Mr. Pattinosn and Ms Stewart; remain rational in your comments -- outrage is fine but not too emotional. Above all dont get into anythign about the whole Robsten and Nonsten issue. The thing here is to focus on how outrageous and unwarrented the comment was, not to debate the validity of it.
Elle is in the process of being sold by Hachette Fillipi Magazines to Hearst publications; so it wouldnt hurt to copy the head of Hearst on this as well. Best person to contact would be the head of corpoate PR for Hearst Magazines, Jessica Kleiman:

Meant to add that you dont have to use these exact words -- actually wouldn't be good if everyone is saying the same thing. Just wanted to offer a framework and some suggestions for the type of things that will have the most impact.
Now taking off my calm PR person hat -- I have never seen a more blatant example of a reporter projecting her own bias and fantasies onto her readers. The insult to Rob, Kristen and the reader is appalling. I can;t believe an editor approved this. If anyone still thinks that Rob or any celebrity gets to approve articles before they go to print, this should prove once and for all that it doesn't.

I really hope -- and I would bet my next Botox treatment that its already being discussed -- that Ruth and Stephanie address this with the publication. Something like this shouldn't be allowed to stand. It's a slippery slop. Let this stand and what's to stop another reporter from saying "She's probably going to drop him because he's too immature" in the next interview. Plus it's not just something taht concerns Rob and Kristen -- once a reporter gets away with something like this, its open season on any celebrity. Example: Here;'s a thought -- Angelina is more about having kids than being with Brad, but they proabably stay together for the kids sake." Or how about: "Here's a thought, Sandra probably knew about Jesse's cheating, but didnt want to address it before the Oscars." See what I mean?

I had heard something about this last night but didn't have the desire to read the journalist's comment that caused all the ruckus. I thought maybe people were being overly dramatic or sensative (as can sometimes happen w. Twi-fans). But THIS! This surprised even a cynical bitch like me.
SO dissapointed in that journalist statement and in Elle for allowing it to be published. They are now on the same level as Perez Hilton in my mind.
While I obviously believe Rob & Kristen are together, I would have been equally appalled had this been written about anyone (celebrity or non).
Shame on them for allowing a statement like this to go to print. That one sentence has sullied the name of a good, reputable pub.

Rhonda -- only if it impacts the bottom line or the magazine's abilty to get future interviews from either Rob and Krisen or other celebrities. That's why I hope that their management says something.

Alot of times, this fandom over react to the tiniest things but I don't think this is the case.
That comment was uncalled for and so disrespectful. It has absolutely nothing to do with whether you're a nonsten or robsten or whatever you want to believe. It'd be more respectful if he just stated "I don't believe they're together". Its just wrong to make that type of judgement and comment when you have absolutely no basis for it. I would understand if R or K made some type of comment or did something for one to draw that conclusion but both of them have been so private about their relationship, that's not even the case. If that reporter has done any minimal amount of research, he can clearly see how wrong he is in making that comment. And Elle is not some trashy tabloid so that's what makes it more frustrating that they would let something like that go. How can you make such a crass comment about someone's personal life whom you know nothing about and someone who's gracious enough to sit down and do an interview with you.
