Rob and Kristen- Now You See Them. Now You Don't.

The way he holds that cigarette. JFC.

Random Thoughts.

1.  Robert and Kristen have been incognito
for quite some time now.
And after the long grueling BD shoot
and the long grueling WFE promotion
Don't they deserve it?

I think the last pic of Rob was some grainy thing
that was supposedly taken in Toronto
and Kristen?
NYC with Bear.

I think it's brilliant.

Some people are losing their minds over tweets
about one or the other being
here there or everywhere.
But the fact remains that
NO ONE is really sure where they are.
(Except together... DUH)

And I'm not quite sure why everyone expected
to see pictures of Rob and Kristen out celebrating
Rob's 25th birthday.
Really?
The guy just got off a press junket
where his every move and facial expression
was documented a million times over.
How many times has he said
"I don't like  having my picture taken"
How many?
Exactly.
So now the guy finally has found some peace
and some solitude in the comfort of
the woman he loves...
And you actually believe hes going to go OUT
to get his picture taken?
Right.
Do you people listen to me at all??

2. And to continue on the whole
WHERE ARE ROB AND KRISTEN debate...

They both have been seen in Toronto.
Please.
Get real.
You fucking KNOW they are together.
Wherever that may be.
It doesn't matter if there are pictures or not.
And don't you love the contradictions?
Because if there were pictures of Kristen taken
in Toronto with or without Robert...
Haters would be screaming
"Why can't she leave him alone!"
"Why must she CLING to him?
(Like you wouldn't)
"She is such a famewhore!"

and now that none have surfaced
(thus far)
"SEE! Kristen isn't even IN Toronto!"
"I'm SO glad Rob got to spend his birthday
without THAT girl!"

Of course I'm with Kristen... I'm ALWAYS with Kristen.

Good Grief.

Just because we can't see them
doesn't mean they aren't together.

I mean...
GOOD PR would dictate that they would be
prancing and dancing all over Toronto together...
Right?
Oh wait.

See...
Robert and Kristen have been seen a lot
in the past months.
Especially Robert.
Don't they deserve this down time.
This quiet time.
This peaceful time.
This Get Off Our Dicks time?

Think what you want.
But.
They are together.
As always.

3. Let's talk about manips.
Yes.
I want to.
OK.
I don't really want to because they
CREEP me out for the most part.
But...
So much discussion about them lately.
I don't really pay much attention to manips
because they usually look so fucking... off.
The heads look funny.
The hands are in weird positions.
Purse straps melt into people.
They always look unnatural
and well...
Fake.

But people keep churning them out
for whatever reason.
And yeah... sometimes they even look pretty good.
But there was a recent one of Kristen and a 'fan'
that was supposedly taken in Toronto.
It was immediately seen for what it was.
A fake.
And then we got the usual Foaming
"Oh the sheep are soooo desperate
They are LOOSING their minds"
(yes, they spell losing as 'loosing')

All this mind 'loosing'
It's rather hilarious.
Would people REALLY 'loose' their minds over
a picture of Kristen with a fan?
And to be brutally honest...
I have little doubt that this pic was done by
one of those 'loosers' just to stir the pot.
It has been rather stagnant lately.
Besides...
It's not like one side or another hasn't made manips
to try and bolster their side.
(Remember the Nikki laying on Rob picture? Hahahaha!)
I think its all incredibly lame.
No matter where you are standing.
And creepy as fuck.

Click on this picture. Fucking GORGEOUS.

4. I don't really have much to say
other than poking fun at people
who seem to think they are 'above it all'

You know who I am talking about.
All those Foaming people who right now
are all claiming to
NOT GIVE A FUCK.
and are all
IDontGiveACrapSten
and
'I don't care, I'm just in it for the laughs'
and
'I'm only here for ROB, THAT GIRL doesn't exist
in my world'

A. You care.
A lot.
Probably more than anyone.

B. People who don't care
don't spend hours writing about how much
they don't care.
Hours screaming and whining about how much
they don't care!
Trying to convince everyone
just how much they don't care!

C. You give a fuck.
You give a crap.
You are not here for Rob...
You exist for THAT GIRL.
Kristen fucking OWNS you.
You can't go one day without writing about her.
Talking about her.
Whining about her.
Looking at her.
Wondering where she is.
Discuss what she is wearing.
Day in.
Day out.
It's ALL about Kristen.

And for the record.
I care.
;)

Once upon a time...

5. Snow White got her Huntsman.
Perfect.

And imagine...
Kristen going to the UK to film this movie...
Hmmmm.
Wonder who will be with her?
Hmmmm.

This was considered a 'manip' once too... HAHAHAHAHA!

This post is brought to you by the letter *T*

T for TOGETHER.
Of course they are.
Where else would they be?

T for Totally Unplugged
I hope you enjoyed your 'quiet' weekend.
You deserved it.
A little guitar.
A little wine.
Some good cooking...
and each other.
Perfect weekend is perfect.

T for Tom Sturridge.

Just Because

Tom is working in Vienna right now...
Don't you miss his pretty face?
I do.
A lot.

Green Sheep, Tom.
Green Sheep.

Bye for now

  1. Rose,

I never used to look for nonnie postings on twitter before, but now that so many are being neatly compiled for anyone to see, I just haven't been able to resist. All I can say is WOW, and I just want to say THANK YOU for putting up with all of the delusional crap and shouty-cap e-mails that people send you all of the time, and thank you for giving us Roseland. :)

I hope everyone out there is having a fabulous, sunny, relaxing and peaceful weekend!! <3

  2. Hi Rose,

Thanks for posting. I hadn’t expected to see one, but it is welcomed on this rainy, dreary day here.

As you said, I hope Rob and Kristen are enjoying some quiet down time, alone and together. That is a nice thought.

The little green sheep is cute and intriguing……Hmmm…

IB – I’ll be thinking of you and your husband tomorrow. I hope all goes well with his shoulder surgery. Let us know when you can.

Stay well Roselanders. I hope everyone has a good day.

  3. Just checking twitter and was pleasantly surprised to find that Rose posted. And it's another good one! :)

I clicked on the pic as directed... GAH! It is obvious why those 2 have to be together... they are too beautiful for anyone else!

If anybody deserves an "unplugged" week end, it's Rob and Kristen. I hope it was everything they wanted it to be.

Good luck to Tom in Vienna!

Hi Kay and Fredster ;) and anyone else I may miss.

  4. Rose...brilliant post as usual. I hope Rob And Kristen are enjoying some well deserved R&R.

Chris H. looks like he will be a perfect Huntsman opposite Kristen. They both have that passionate on screen look about them. Excited the cast is set...liking Prince Charmant too.

Hi Freddie, Kay, dottie and everyone checking in today!!

IB...hope all goes well with your husband's shoulder.

  5. I'm extremely glad they're getting some much deserved peace and quiet at the moment. I'm happy to admit that I care a lot about THAT GIRL, she's amazing. The "loosers", due to their lamentable lack of reasoning skills, don't get that she is largely responsible for the huge smile he has fixed to his face, almost permanently, these days.

Kay - I also ignore the insane ramblings as a rule but since we are getting them in convenient, bite size pieces, they are good for a laugh over my mid-morning coffee. I've tried to get my brain to malfunction like that but logic and rationality keep invading.

    Hi Freddie :)

  6. Hi Angelica, Hope and dottie - I hope you are all well and enjoying the weekend.

  7. I'm glad they could celebrate without pap or fan intrusions. Peace and quiet must feel great right about now.

The nonsense keeps reeking of desperation. I can't get over how much time they have spent in the last few days picking apart Reese' "girlfriend" comment. I've read some pretty strange delusions that's for sure. All to negate the fact that Rob and Kristen are together. Pathetic lives are pathetic.

Freddie- Didn't you see a show last night? How was it?

IB- Wishing your husband a successful surgery and quick healing tomorrow.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend so far. Enjoy what's left of the day!

  9. Hi, Rose!! brilliant post.

I also hope Rob And Kristen are enjoying some well deserved peace and quiet down time and that they are happy...thats all that matters.

and I hope Rob had a wonderful Birtdhay.

Hi, Kay, Freddie, Hope Angelica, Dottie and everyone else that I may have missed! I hope everyone is having a fabulous day.

  10. Hi Melinda - yes, we saw Billy Elliot last night and while it was good, I wasn't blown away by it. They have 6 boys who play Billy and I was left wondering how the show would play if we'd seen another Billy - not to say the the boy didn't do a good job, because he did, but I just wasn't blown away. It's hard to live up to the hype sometimes.

Overall we have a really nice evening despite the fact that it poured incessantly here yesterday and last night. We got soaked to the bone trying to get a cab. Funny in retrospect. How are you?

Hi Katy, hope you are doing well. Anything new in your neck of the world?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Angelica and Kay, I agree. I cant help not too read the rambling on a day I am bored or need a good fan fic, and since they are all put together for us too see and accessible.
I just shake my head when reading the NONSENSE and then wonder how people become THAT invested in Hollywood actors lives, kind if scary after I think about it though. It's like a bunch of mental patients diary's, I just want too give them some Thorazine and a counseling session lol

"Diary of a Madman" That is actually a rap song.

  12. Hope-

I for one am glad that the "huntsman" they went with is younger than what they seem to have in mind at the beginning. I don't know why I'm glad, I just am.

Chris H. is very easy on the eyes. :)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Freddie-

Billy Elliott came my way once but I decided to pass. I think for the price of tickets I might be glad I did. Now South Pacific is coming this season and I'm getting tickets for that when they go on sale.

Despite not liking Billy Elliott all that much glad the rest of your evening was fun.

I'm good. Mentally preparing myself for an "end of the year" program tonight with abt 85 kids ages 3-5th grade. It's always chaos but the kids do a great job!

I've got to jet because I haven't put their certificates together. TTYL.

  15. Great Post, Rose!!!

Isn't it wonderful that they've eluded the fans and the paps wherever they are? I know that last week there were "sightings" but wouldn't surprise me if they were holed up somewhere outside of Toronto in a cabin where they could have some privacy before the craziness of filming starts over next week. If they're filming in the streets of Toronto, fans will be all over the place!!!

I'm counting down to the MTV awards where we'll get to see them together. Though won't surprise me if they put Taylor between them!!! I love all of Rob's "obscure" comments about Kristen but don't expect anything to be different with them in public, especially on TV..... not their style.

  16. Kay and Angelica: I have seen the nonnie postingsin twitter as well. I knew from their twitter ramblings that they were nutty, but seeing the essays they write at nonsten took it to a whole mew level.

Rose - you're absolutely right. It is ALL about Kristen for them. Every paragraphs long analysis is entirely about her.

Seeing the nonsense in it's entirety taken straight out of their shameful little cave of idiocy and jealousy is disturbing, yes, but its a lot funnier than I thought it would be. I'm glad someone is exposing them.

They were all worked up about knowing Kristen was there to stage PR Birthday pics. Soooooo, now what?

I hope Rob and Kristen are having a lovely time in anonymity. They deserve this break.

And congratulations to Kristen on her Huntsman. He is perfect.

  17. Melinda - having seen both South Pacific and Billy Elliot, I think you made the right decision.

Enjoy your evening tonight with the kids.

Hope - yes, Chris did sound nice. I saw him on Leno last week (I think it was) and he came across well. Hope you are having a good day.

That pic of them is gorgeous! I absolutely love that shoot.

My hubby and I took our little man to see Thor today...it was really good and I think that he will make an excellent huntsman!!

  20. Loosers, is right, Rose, is there anything worse than someone spelling losers, incorrectly. I think it's great that we have not seen anything of Rob & Kristen, and Rob must be enjoying a well-earned break from all the inane questions he is asked. Gah! even I was getting bored with them. Wherever he is, he is probably growing an enormous beard, lol.

  21. Hi Rose, great post.

The close up of Rob & Kristen is simply stunning! One of my favourite photo shoots!

It's good to find humour/amusement In The 'negatives' in life and the nonnies ( my iPhone keeps wanting to correct nonnies to ninnies- either works for me :) provide plenty.
    Laughing is the best remedy!

I too am pleased with Chris being chosen as the Huntsman- very pleasant on the eye and a fellow Aussie ;)

Hi to all the Roseland ladies.. Hope all is well in your lives :)

  22. Kay and Angelica,

I am also tremendously enjoying reading all the nonnie nonsense. To see how much energy they expend on explaining and justifying is mind boggling. I especially enjoy reading how they KNOW the minds of people they've never met.

    Believe,

I'm hoping your husband's surgery goes well and he has a speedy recovery. The wish for a speedy recovery is as much for you as it is for him. Maybe even more so for your benefit and any wife knows what I mean.

  28. Hi Roseland!

Rose great post again! I am beyond happy that Rob and Kristen have been able to have some downtime and just be without cameras in their faces. That is probably one of the best gifts that Rob received for his birthday. I hope they are having fun and peace wherever they are, together.

Now on to the “loosers”. I try my best to ignore their incessant delusional chatter, but occasionally you come across it and you can’t help but to think either they are really certifiable crazy or just messing with the fandom because seriously nobody can really be that uninformed and ill-mannered. Can they????

I laugh every time I read about a “sheep”. A “sheep” is a herd of people that follow blindly. They do not use their common sense and takes the word of someone else without looking at and interpreting a situation for themselves. Hmm… sounds like them in my opinion. It has been beyond obvious for years that Rob and Kristen is a solid couple without either of them having to say it with words. Their actions have always spoken louder than words. And for anyone to still claim that they are anything other than together in a relationship is simply a lost cause or “looser”. So sorry to inform the “loosers” but once again they fail at the use and understanding of the English dictionary.

Okay, I’m still getting settled in to the new place. So, I am off to be productive, unpack some more boxes and watch a little of Da’ Bulls with the hubby.

@DK, I didn’t forget the song. Coming up in a bit, I promise. Blogger is giving me a problem right now. Hope this goes through.

    Later Roseland!

  31. Haven't posted in a while but as always...great post Rose. Love that picture, Rob and Kristen's eyes are so intense. As with the rest of you so glad these 2 have been able to fly under the radar while in Toronto esp. this weekend. Whether R/K are sharing a quite w/e inside as Rose said, with good music/wine and food, or out seeing the beautiful sights, they deserve every bit of time together however they want to spend it. To the crazy one's may I suggest you find something better to do than pretend you know what is best for others you have never met. I think the Red Cross may be calling your name. Here there is a lot of help needed down South.

  32. What a treat, a Sunday post from Rose!
As far as I am concerned, no news is good news. I hope they had a lovely time TOGETHER this weekend.
My favorite Roseism, "Kristen fucking OWNS you". Oh, I'll bet that pisses off a few people. HA!

I have a dilemma. My daughter turned 16 today. Some of her well-meaning friends went together and bought her a gift... not one but two rats. I am horrified. I love animals, but not rodents. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats in a rather small home. They will go crazy (so will I). These girls' parents knew they were doing this and no one thought to check with me. Of course she loves them. This just sucks! My other daughter wants to raise a couple baby racoons that a friend found. Any suggestions (besides Decon) and how long do rats live?

    IB,
Hope your husband breezes through his surgery!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thank you dear Rose for the great post today.
    Good evening fellow Roselanders.

Privacy, peace, together time full of happiness.....hope that Rob and Kristen are enjoying all of the above and that they remain successful in staying under the radar.

IB, may your husband have a successful surgery with a rapid recovery.

    Will peek back in tomorrow.
    Hugs for y'all.

  34. Birdie,

I just read your comment and I sympathise with you. Did your daughter want these rats? I don't know about you but I would not allow them in the house. Do you have a garage where they could be kept? What kind of pet is a rat???? Are they male and female which means baby rats?

My daughter got a guinea pig when in college. I refused to have it at home since we had 3 cats at the time. She gave it to a daycare facility for one of their classrooms.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hey Rose, I hope everybody had a lovely, quiet weekend. I am positive Rob and Kris are together, and I hope Rob had a wonderful birthday. Rob needs some down time before starting to work again, and Kris is helping him relax. Have a good Monday Roselanders.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Penny,
She asked for a guinea pig in the past and I said "No Rodents". A guinea pig is looking pretty good right now. She did not ask for these and they are both male. I already informed her that they are not coming in the house. I don't even want them in the garage! She is so excited and I hate to burst her bubble.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Birdie,

I have no words for you. I cannot imagine. These are vermin. You will have to get advice from someone more tolerant of these things. Rodents, reptiles, and even frogs are not allowed anywhere near me. If a frog takes up residence in my pond, someone has to remove it and get it off of the property. I'll say a prayer for you because that is the best I can offer.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Penny,
Thank you for the sympathy. I thought I might have been to intolerant. It's good to know it isn't just me that that prefers to not have creepy crawling things in her home!

    And when you lock

    Just think of those
Out in the cold and dark
    'cause there's not
    Enough love to go 'round

    And sympathy
Is what we need my friend
And sympathy is what we need
    'cause there's not
    Enough love to go 'round

    No there's not enough love
    To go 'round

    Now half the world
    Hates the other half
    And half the world
    Has all the food

    And half the world

  41. Birdie - I completely agree with you and PL here. I understand you not wanting to appear harsh but you had already told her no and I think you have every right to stick to that.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Birdie,

That happened to my friend last year. Warning this is not a good story. Her son came home with a rat and wanted to keep it. She didn’t know what to do at first, so they got it a cage and all like it was a pet hamster. After 2 weeks, the rat actually became violent. It bit her son and would rock the cage trying to escape. So, they had to get rid of it and take her son to get some shots. If I was you, I would maybe compromise for a different pet to get rid of the rats. Anyway, these parents should be ashamed of themselves for allowing their kids to put you and your daughter in this situation.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skFWsc_-i14

Ya can't roller skate in a buffalo herd
But you can be happy if you've a mind to

Ya can't take a shower in a parakeet cage
But you can be happy if you've a mind to

All ya gotta do is put your mind to it
Knuckle down, buckle down, do it, do it, do it

Well, ya can't go a-swimmin' in a baseball pool
But you can be happy if you've a mind to

Ya can't change film with a kid on your back
But you can be happy if you've a mind to

Ya can't drive around with a tiger in your car
But you can be happy if you've a mind to

All ya gotta do is put your mind to it
Knuckle down, buckle down do it, do it, do it

Well, ya can't roller skate in a buffalo herd
But you can be happy if you've a mind to

Ya can't go fishin' in a watermelon patch
But you can be happy if you've a mind to

Ya can't roller skate in a buffalo herd

  45. I Tried To Leave You

    Leonard Cohen:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J14XykL0LWs

I tried to leave you, I don't deny
I closed the book on us, at least a hundred times.
I'd wake up every morning by your side.

The years go by, you lose your pride.
The baby's crying, so you do not go outside,
    And all your work
    It's right before your eyes.

    Goodnight, my darling,
    I hope you're satisfied,
The bed is kind of narrow
But my arms are open wide.

    And here's a man
    Still working for your smile

    Thank you/balcky666

    Superstar
    By Paul Davis

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_bMFxkHrKk&feature=related

    Bernie writes the words while
Elton makes the music and the melody
    Philadelphia Freedom always
    sounds so good to me
    Phoebe you're a wonder when
    you're singing that perfect harmony
    Yes, sweet harmony

Hard to believe all the love
that blind man made me see
    Whoa, whoa, oh

    *CHORUS
    Superstar, I wanna thank you
For what you are oh, whoa
    On your six ninety eight
    Lord, you sound so great
    And I just can't wait
    To hear you singing

    Come on, Come on
    Come on, and sing it
    Oh, oh, oh

Heart like a wheel always made me
    Feel anyway I wanna be
    Linda you’re a winner

    Oh, girl, you’re looking thinner
    Than you use to be
    Joni Mitchell
    You always pulled me through
When I'd get down and blue
    Music hears you calling
Help, I think I'm fallin' in love with you.
    Oh, oh, oh

    *CHORUS
    Superstar, I wanna thank you
For what you are oh, whoa
    On your six ninety eight
    Lord, you sound so great
    And I just can't wait
    To hear you singing

    Come on, Come on
    Come on, and sing it
    Oh, oh, oh, sing it
    Come on, Come on
    Come on, and sing it

    Oh, oh, oh, sing it
    Come on, Come on
    Come on, and sing
    Oh, oh, oh

Sing another song and make me happy
    Come on, and sing it
    Oh, oh, oh
    (repeat 4 times)

  47. DK,

You are always dedicating songs to us, so I decided to return the favor. I’m a big music buff and always enjoy your selections. Sorry, it took awhile, but it took a bit to find the lyrics. I figured you can’t go wrong with Paul Davis, just saying. Sweet Life, Cool Nights, I Go Crazy, I can go on and on. “Superstar” was one of his unreleased songs, but always gets us moving and in a good mood.

    Ain't No Cure For Love

    Leonard Cohen:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKJ-gQVJkek

I loved you for a long, long time
I know this love is real
It don't matter how it all went wrong
That don't change the way I feel

    And I can't believe that time's
Gonna heal this wound I'm speaking of
    There ain't no cure,
    There ain't no cure,
There ain't no cure for love

    I'm aching for you baby
    I can't pretend I'm not
I need to see you naked
In your body and your thought

I've got you like a habit
    And I'll never get enough
    There ain't no cure,
    There ain't no cure,
There ain't no cure for love

There ain't no cure for love
There ain't no cure for love
All the rocket ships are climbing through the sky

The holy books are open wide
The doctors working day and night
But they'll never ever find that cure for love
There ain't no drink no drug
    (Ah tell them, angels)
There's nothing pure enough to be a cure for love

I see you in the subway and I see you on the bus
I see you lying down with me, I see you waking up

I see your hand, I see your hair
    Your bracelets and your brush
And I call to you, I call to you
But I don't call soft enough
    There ain't no cure,
    There ain't no cure,
There ain't no cure for love

I walked into this empty church I had no place else to go
When the sweetest voice I ever heard, whispered to my soul
I don't need to be forgiven for loving you so much

    It's written in the scriptures
    It's written there in blood
I even heard the angels declare it from above
    There ain't no cure,
    There ain't no cure,
There ain't no cure for love

    Thank you/FriedEggsandChips

You know what's so funny? Finding lyrics is almost the hardest part, after deciding what song is right for dear Roseland, do you know?

Good song, I'm groovin' with Paul, now.

And I deserve a dedicated song tonight, since I mopped 4 floors while I had me some beers, should be a country song, yes?

  50. Tom is in Vienna? oh boy, I so wish I could just jump on a train and go on the off chance to get a glimpse *sigh*

and Im curious about SWatH. SW not only got her Huntsman but a Prince also. and he is a cutie. that film is shaping up pretty nicely

there are some manips I like and some that I steer away from

also, how awesome is Elle UK to give us bazillion outtakes from that wonderful fotoshoot of Kris? very awesome I would say :)

  51. DK,

Yes you deserved it. Glad you liked it. Trying to find those lyrics was a pain and makes me appreciate what you do here even more.

Mopping 4 floors??? You are more of a champ than me. I wasn’t productive tonight at all. Still have tons of boxes staring at me.

  52. Let It Be Me

    Ray LaMontagne:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LWpw3CMCEg

There comes a time, a time in everyone's life
Where nothin` seems to go your way
Where nothing seems to turn out right

There may come a time, you just can't seem to find your place
For every door you open, seems like you get two slammed in your face

That's when you need someone, someone that you, you can call
When all your faith is gone... and it feels like you can't go on
Let it be me... let it be me...

If it's a friend that`you need... let it be me, let it be me

Feels like you're always coming up last
Pockets full a nothin`, ain't got no cash
No matter where you turn, you ain't got no place to stand
You reach out for somethin and they slap your hand

Now I remember all to well, just how it feels to be all alone
Feel like you'd give anything, for just a little place you can call your own

That's when you need someone, someone that you, you can call
When all your faith is gone, feels like you can't go on
Let it be me... let it be me...

If it's a friend you need, let it be me, let it be me
    Let it be me...

    Let it be me...
If it's a friend you need, let it be me, let it be me, let it be me.

Make it 5 floors, ha, ha!

I'd rather mop than deal with boxes. Why, there are at least 30 boxes in my garage from 3 years ago, that I have to go through before I move again.

Mostly, it is decor stuff, artsy, and I will not part with it. I need to be inspired to place it around, and this place does not inspire. Off I go, again, onto Somewhere Else.

Oh, and lyrics are tough, and then sometimes they are spelled wrong, needing correction, or something, and I have to find the original ones.

Then, the sound can be off and so many things, so, yes, I make an effort, to please you lovelies, and the part of myself that loves music, pure and simple.

So nice to have you here tonight, with me.

    ReplyDelete
  54. @Gwen
Are you hanging around here, via work and such?

    ReplyDelete
  55. DK,

Sleeping schedule still messed up. I moved from LA to NY. My body is still floating between 2 time zones.

Ha…5 floors now. I’ll take the boxes over mopping. I hate housework with a passion. I do need to get these boxes unpacked before the rest of my stuff gets here. These boxes are only the stuff I shipped ahead of time. And I had furniture and little odds and ends stuff delivered last week (new stuff). The movers are supposed to get here sometime this week. I’ll probably be out of sorts for another 2-3 weeks.

And, I know what you mean about needing to be inspired to place the artwork. I had a bunch of stuff that never made it to the walls in my old home and I don’t see anywhere I would I put it here. Really, why did I buy a painting of a fork over water? Did I really think I would ever hang that up? Yet I won’t throw it away and too embarrassed to give it away.

    ReplyDelete
  56. @Cutie
Send me that painting and I'll send you one of mine that will suit NY. Crazy thought, isn't it?

I'm thinking to move to Cali but not LA. But I could move to NY, too, that's what a gypsy I am.

I talk really big about this moving stuff but the family has brought me back to Chicago so many times, love you know. When you get older, what else matters?

    ReplyDelete
  57. DK,

Know what you mean. Family will suck you in every time. I’m originally from NY, but have been in California for many years. I sold my business last year and my husband got a promotion and that is what has brought me back to NY. It was kind of a quick move. Family is glad I’m back on the east coast though.

I was a bit of a gypsy back in the day too. Never lived in Chicago, but spent a few in Wisconsin.

And trust me, you would not want any of the attic artwork-lol.

    ReplyDelete
  58. @Cutie
There is some talk of a few of us Roselanders going to NYC for the BD opening, but I think the premiere will be in LA, don't you?

A man I once met, told me that I would need $10,000 to stay in NYC for the weekend! He suggested a hotel that I have forgotten, maybe the Waldorf?

Best wishes for you to be back in NY and close to family. I remember when I lived in Seattle that 2000 miles was too far when someone needed me in Chicago.

Perhaps, I can stay somewhere for six months at a time, and be back when it suits the crew?

I like the apartment exchange bit, but is it safe?

And, I am taking advantage of your sleep mess, aren't I? Hope you don't mind too much.

    ReplyDelete
  59. @Cutie
Ah, trust me, you would want the garage art, my dear pal.

    ReplyDelete
  60. @Bren
You have fallen asleep, I just know it.
That's what I get for mopping and hoping for my pals to show up.

I know, I'm supposed to be sleeping but you can't roller skate in a buffalo herd or sleep when you want to be awake. Oh, you can, but I don't.

    @Syd
I am reminded of you. Do and don't, but will not, won't. Like you.

    ReplyDelete
  61. DK,

You’re not taking advantage, even though I am winding down. Living cross-country had it problems, especially when your parents are afraid to fly. I missed plenty of holidays and important family stuff. The six months idea, does sound good. It makes you available.

I don’t know about the apartment exchange. Look into that a little more. Make sure it is not some Jack the Ripperish thing, if you know what I mean.

Yeah, the BD premiere will probably be in LA. They camped out for about 5 days at the LA Live last year. I drove passed it and couldn’t believe all the people outside. They usually do something in NYC too. And, it shouldn’t cost you $10,000 to stay for a weekend in NY unless you are staying in the penthouse suite at Trump or I guess the Waldorf could run you a good penny.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Beyond crazy. 10G is downpayment on something or some more garage art.

    ReplyDelete
  63. @Cutie
I got the feeling that the man was feeling me out, and not in a good way, more like, would I take him for $10,000 or he, me? Such games we play, for no pay, or to be silly, and that does appeal to me.

    ReplyDelete
  64. DK,

He was either trying to impress you or scare you. Silly games is right. Good luck that one.

I was talking about buying a new car many years ago with my friends at a restaurant. And this guy butts into the convo and tells me that I should buy a Porsche because he likes the way his car drive. Mind you, we saw him drive up in a Hyundai. I said, well let me see your car. He stuttered and looked like he swallowed a canary. Ran off with his tail between his legs. Once again, silly games.

    Games That People Play

    Joe South:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5znh58WITU8

Oh the games people play now
Every night and every day now
Never meaning what they say now
    Never saying what they mean

And they wile away the hours
    In their ivory towers
Till they're covered up with flowers
In the back of a black limousine

La-da da da da da da da
La-da da da da da de
    Talking 'bout you and me
    And the games people play

Oh we make one another cry
Break a heart then we say goodbye
Cross our hearts and we hope to die
That the other was to blame

    Neither one will give in
So we gaze at our eight by ten
Thinking 'bout the things that might have been
    It's a dirty rotten shame

    People walking up to you
    Singing glory hallelujah
And they're tryin to sock it to you
In the name of the Lord

They're gonna teach you how to meditate
Read your horoscope, cheat your faith
And further more to hell with hate
Come on and get on board

Look around tell me what you see
What's happening to you and me
    God grant me the serenity
    To remember who I am

Cause you've given up your sanity
For your pride and your vanity
    Turns you sad on humanity
And you don't give a da da da da da

    Thank you/murphicus

Sorry I missed you. Thank you for the note. The beady-eyed litte beasts are housed in the garage for the time being. I am hopeful that the novelty will wear off and they will find a new home this summer. I only know it won't be in my house. Maybe one of those other parents will be the recipients of these "cute" little creatures. Ah, another day in the life....
    Cutiestar,
I will share that story with her. Maybe she will come to her senses or at least be a little creeped out like I am.
    Angelica,
I'm with you, but it pisses me off that I have to be the bad guy on her birthday and of course she thinks they are wonderful.

*IB* : I hope all goes well with your husband's surgery.

Freddie and Melinda; I saw Billy Elliot on Broadway and I have to agree with Freddie, after all the hype I wasn't blown away either.

DK: Seriously? $10,000 a night to stay in NYC!

    Cutiestar: Welcome back to NYC!

Hi Birdie: I love those outtakes of Kristen in Elle UK too. As it is when Rob does photoshoots, it begs the question......Outtakes? Really?

As Rose said in her post yesterday, some people are "loosing" it over everything and Rob and Kristen are together enjoying some peace and quiet.......TOGETHER. :)

Ta, Ta, Ta, Ta.....I'm loving it!

  83. HI IB, glad to hear that everything went well for your husband. I hope the meds will have him feeling no pain – truly.

Palasluna – we haven’t had a chance to speak before, so hello. I read your comment and while you’re totally entitled to have your own opinion, and it’s not my place to tell you what to think, I just wanted to suggest that perhaps it would be good to reserve judgment on Sienna. None of us know her as a person. What we do know (or think we know) was likely formed through the media and we know that they are not unbiased in how the represent celebrities. I take it that you want what is best for Tom, as we all do. He seems like a smart guy, so perhaps we should support him in his choices.

Hi Super, 30 and DK – hope you are all well.

  85. Hi Freddie! I feel like we haven't talked in so long. :)

Did ya all hear Robs song released by Sofarsouds yet? All I can say is that voice is why I started being a dedicated fan of Robs, just amazing talent for guitar, song writing and that passion.... "melts"

  86. ah rose, i don't need to see rob everyday anymore, i get to see him on your blog, and he's my wallpaper for my laptop with hundreds of pics of him in reserve if my mood feels like staring at another pic of rob!
but yeah when he goes off the radar for more than 2 months i started itching for a fix of his loveable goofiness and sexy lay back charm! plus we know he's with kristen what else can u wish for the guy, he's right where he needs to be and with whm he belongs!

  87. Hi 30, how are you doing? Yeah, it seems like it's been quiet around here lately. Anything new in your neck of the world? Has work been busy?

Hi Rhonda - how was your day? Anything new? music? shopping?

  88. Freddie not much new, my daughters play is coming up then after that she is trying out for cheer leading for 6th grade (middle school, god help me) but try outs are June 1st for 3 days, if she makes it she will have practice all summer then cheer in the fall when school starts again.

    How is your cat doing?

  89. Hi Freddie- I'm great, thanks. I've been working a lot lately, so not that much time for shopping :(
    How are you?

  90. 30 - wow, that sounds like a grueling process - three days - boy, when I tried out to be a cheerleader back in school (back in the dark ages, it seems) we had one try out of probably 30 minutes and you were either in or out - it was short, sweet and simple. But I think Cheer is a much bigger thing now and I hope it works out for your daughter. Given her success with the play, I would assume she will do well.

I just listened to Rob's song. I thinks it's probably one of my favorites that he's done. It was a nice surpise to get this today.

Tomas is doing fine for the moment, thanks. I think he's losing some weight so I've been cheating a bit and giving him some of his old unhealthy food, since he hasn't been eating much of the new protein-reduced stuff. I may regret this, but I'm thinking it's better than him not eating at all.

  91. Freddie- Right now I'm listening to some old Sarah Mclachlan and Lilith Fair stuff :)

  92. Rhonda - glad you are well. I took the day off today so I've had a nice relaxing day. The most ambitious thing I did was to clean out my bureau drawers.

But I'm back to work tomorrow.

  93. Rhonda - good choice in Sarah Mclachlan. She's written some incredible stuff.

I hope you get a break from the work grind soon. When is that vacation you have been planning?

  94. Freddie- Thanks, it's not until July. I'm glad Tomas is doing somewhat better, I know you've been worried about him. I hope you have a good day at work tomorrow :)

  95. Freddie I agree that's defiantly better than nothing for him, it's like for us humans would we rather eat low fat, unsalted chips, or the good stuff? I want the good stuff. lol I assume its "kind of" like that for are animals especially when they are used too a certain food.

  96. Hello, Roseland!!

Just heard Rob's song released by Sofarsouds and I think it's beautiful. He has the most amazingly soulful voice. As Kirsten said...'Rob. He's a great singer. Heartbreaking'.

Here's a link if anyone wants to listen To Rob's Song. It also has a new pic that is just gorgoeus.
