Rob and Kris-- Countdown

Suit. Sunglasses. Swoon.

Well.
Not so much happening in the land of Rob/Kris right now.
Rob is busy working on Cosmopolis...
And of course he is 'seen' out every night partying and carousing
with every female cast member he can find.
Yes, I'm being sarcastic.
It still boggles my mind that people (aka haters)
would rather Robert be some sort of man-whore
out mindlessly fucking any female he can...
Than be in a monogamous relationship with Kris(ten).
Truly.
Have you listened to this thoughts on women and relationships?
He states pretty clearly (and in his own words)
That he is a one woman kinda guy...
And how he doesn't get people who aren't.
It's also pretty clear who the ONE woman in his life is.
Come on...
You know its true.
Its the same girl who keeps showing up in his life.
Time and time again.
(and again... very soon)

L-O-V-E (heh)

And I do love how people (haters)
Are clinging to how Rob described his 'sex' scenes
with Reese at the MTV awards.
"I didn't cut you out... but I did fuck you."
as some sort of 'sign' that Rob and Reese had some sort of affair.
Really?
Rob and Reese?
Reese who just got married.
And Rob would someone announce it on live TV?
And honestly...
Don't you idiots EVER get Rob's sense of humor?
EVER???
Goofy
Charming
Awkward
Robert.
And people have to twist it and make it tawdry.
Shut up.

Rob and Bear...

Kris and Bear...

Rob being adorable with Bear...
Adorable Bear.

You know the magnifying glasses came out for these pics.
Rob was finally seen with Bear!
OH NO!
Quick!
Blow those pics UP!
HURRY!
It can't be the same dog!!!
It just can't!
Look! Rob's Bear has different ears!
Fake Bears are all floppy!
I think Rob's Bear is darker...
Fake Bear is similar but not the same!
They are litter mates! Not the same dog!
Rob's Bear isn't as big as fake Bear...
Should he be bigger if its the same dog?
Yes. The conspiracy theories about Bear are still going on.
And why?
Because both Rob and Kristen were seen with the puppy.
End of the world, People.
End of the world.
Kristen and Rob just may have adopted a puppy together.
And they just may have been spending time in Toronto...
Together.
:)

I long to be... close to you...

Final thoughts...

1. I love that as soon as Rob and Kris are apart...
People immediately see them all over the place
with countless people (of the opposite sex, of course)
I say that 99.9% of the rumors are bullshit...
and even if Rob goes out for a beer with castmates...
Or Kristen goes out to dinner with castmates
(where one of them happens to be Rob's best friend)
So what?

2. There has been a lot of speculation about
the whereabouts of Kristen Stewart.
Hmmmm.
She was in London... that much is true.
Did she go to LA?
Probably...
But where oh where is she now?
Reunion in
10... 9... 8... 7...

;)

And where would a post of mine be without...

Walking and smiling. Win/Win.

Tom Sturridge!
I love this picture of Rob and him...
Strolling around...
Being all smiley and happy.

Am I the only one who misses Tom's face?

Oh sure...
I know he shows up behind Sienna...
All bushy and beardy...
But I still miss his face.

This post is brought to you by the letter *G*

G for Green Sheep.
Forever.

G for Reunited and it feels so GOOD.

So so GOOD.

Bye for now

  1. Hi Rose and all in Roseland,

Awwww.... I want a my very own 'Bear' that puppy is just too cute.

Hope everyone had a good weekend, and happy Monday to all!

  2. But wait, why should it matter if Kristen's Bear is Rob's Bear. It's not a "dogbaby" so it doesn't mean ANYTHING. Adopting a dog together is what friends do all the time. And even it was Rob's Bear, Kristen was just walking him and Bear obviously hated her. But still...it means NOTHING.

If it means nothing...what's the 700+ tweets about it nonnies? What's with the 55,000 posts on nonsten? If it's so meaningless, why are you talking about it nonstop?

I'm gonna borrow have to borrow a quote here because it fits the situation perfectly...nonnies....you are literally too stupid to insult.

Thanks for the post Rose, and the pictures. Woah, the first pic of Rob on set. Jeez.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

  3. they thought there was a fake Bear?

    .....

    LOL

    .....

    Occam's Razor, bitches!

  4. Litter mates.....LOL. :D The nonnies have never been lacking in imagination, that's for sure.

Happy almost Tuesday, Rose and Roseland!

  5. Nonsense is just that, nonsense. You would think they would be embarrassed by all the BS they throw around.

    Gah! Rob in a suit...

Read on twitter that there is going to be a BD panel at comic con this year. Makes me happy. I'm already imagining the questions that might be asked.

Safe travel vibes being sent out to Kristen as she heads back to her boys. :)

Headed back to work (oh joy) so TTFN...

  6. Lol at "Fake Bear"
I'm just happy the insane delusions are kept to a very small faction.

The pup is adorable, I'm a sucker for any dog.
    Cute pix, good post!

ignore the crazies they certainly don't deserve time & attention, that's what they crave!

Hope u are all having a good day! Mine is filled with back to back conference calls, oh joy! Lol!

  7. THIS is my opinion, i so believe its both of theirs, i mean BEAR, and they do get allot of hate, funny, Kristen gets1 hate from other females, most because they love rob, for their stupid selves, hell no rob will never love you so keep dreaming, but it do have females who dislike kristen, because they just do not like her!and rob he do get hate, but it's not from males, it's from females, who say he is a cheater and he do not treat kristen will although, i dear to differ, but then again i am a rob's fan first, so i may be bias!Bear is now a celebrity.

  8. ROSE..Hahaha...You are sooo right...If a n y t h i n g is "attached" to Kristen Stewart in some way AND it relates back to Rob( a dog, for Gods Sake...sigh)... then it is fair game for "microscopic" investigation. There's just one small problem...there is no one engaged in fair reporting of factual information because of the bias against the "gorgeous and very talented Kristen"... AND..most importantly these people dont care if they throw out a lie... to those "people"..trying to be nice...ahem..because they lie all the time and state it as truth....and they couldn't care less.. Pathetic...Dangerous...and in the end, it will cost THEM dearly...NOT KRISTEN...for she will go on and live her life.

30..I saw your earlier comment and I couldnt agree with you more.

DK...Thank you for the Foxy Lady song!!!!

We went to the viewing of the American Ghost Hunters last night...(Ryan Buell of Paranormal States)...It was very very good. For fans of the TV show, it is the same "format" but you have the rare opportunity to take a case and get into a level of depth and understanding that cannot be achieved in a 30 minute format. A special treat for fans of the show.

Have a Happy and Safe Monday Everybody...

  9. Hi Rose,

    Thanks for posting.

Bear is incredibly cute. I love how in the pictures he was staying close to Rob. What good taste he has.

And those pictures of Rob…it looks like he just stepped off the pages of GQ. Gorgeous.

Hope – congrats on the Mavericks’ win. Have fun celebrating.

I hope everyone is well and having a good day. Take care.

  10. Hello Roseland gang! I'm just heading out the door to buy paint for my son's room. I told him that he could choose the color. Hope that wasn't a terrible mistake! LOL

Great post today, Rose! I loved every word and picture. Rob, Kristen, and Bear make a sweet little family. :)

  11. Hi, Rose!! Great Post.

The pics Rob and Bear...are So adorable. If now we could have pics of Kristen with them it would be perfect!

Rob in a suit is so effing gorgoeus....SWOON!!!

Hope everyone is having a great day.

    Take care

  12. Hello Lovely Ladies of Roseland,

I don't follow celebrity sites so I don't know if this is the norm, but are all celebrity couples scrutinized so? Is Brad accused of cheating every time he is not at Angelina's side? I see the tabloids in the check out lines so I know they are gossipped about, but does this same level of intensity as R and K get exist for others?

    Dottie,

Brave woman, letting the son pick the paint color.

  13. PL I dont think so Rob and Kristen have especially crazy fans as we all know and honestly I believe most who bash them are not even fans anymore if they were at one time. They just like too be in a "click" there real lives have too be pretty pathetic.

Then on top of that rag sites that want those "hits" and want the crazies too post there.

Rob and Kris stories = money.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hi Everyone :)

Putting aside for a minute the simple fact that, even pedigree littermates don't look that similar,I'm dying to see what "brilliant" theory the boneheads come up with when only one Bear turns up with both Rob and Kristen,at the same time. Presumably whichever castmate/random acquaintance/mythical creature they happen to be cheating with that week will have been granted custody of Fake Bear :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Good afternoon Roseland!

I think it's a case people seeing the internet as place to say what they want, when they want, however they want without any consequence for bad behaviour and with the added bonus of perceived anonymity.

Go back and read what was said and wished upon Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes and their child, Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt/Jennifer Anniston.
The above mentioned couples all survived it.

I actually think those couples could have learned from Rob and Kristen, although Rob and Kristen are half their ages.

Even on news sites where there are stories of good deeds done, stories of people sacrificing to help others, there is a segment of the population whose comments are some of the most vicious, insulting comments imaginable.

:)I'm waiting for the stories where there's a Bear/Jella throwdown. Come on, with the amount of bullshit the idiots are spewing, you know it's coming!

  16. Hiya,

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Nice post Rose, my thoughts after reading it?...Bear is seriously cute, I also miss Toms face but I'm so glad hes happy....mostly though I want a Sam Bradley tshirt, ha!

    Much love,

  17. Rose, I don't know why, but this particular post struck me as absolutely and over-the-top hysterical...truly, I read it until the tears streamed down my face just listening to you talk about the crazy-ass scrutiny of their DOG!!! I actually had to catch my breath before I could type this comment! Sometimes, I think you make this stuff up just to entertain us- nobody in their right mind could possibly think things like this (littermates ...the fake Bear?). I guess that answers my own question, though...the nonnies and haters have never been accused of being in their right mind (or, quite frankly, even having a mind!).

Thanks for the funniest thing I've read in...forever :) Rose, you're the best!

Hello to all my sweets in Roseland...

Safe travels and sweet reunions to Rob & Kris...

    ReplyDelete
  18. I just want too add that Rob looks gorges, sophisticated in that top picture Rose. He took my breath away there for a minute. :)

Where has prpro been? I hope all is well.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Fake Bear? That is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess hahaha. I'm reading Cosmopolis and Rob looks exactly like you would picture Erik looking, and the actor playing his bodyguard Torval is perfect also. I'm getting really excited to see the finished product.
@Super RN, I loooovvvee Ghosthunters, that would be so fun to see them live. Of course my husband would whine so much I'd probably have to make him leave lol.
Thanks Rose, for starting out my Monday with a good laugh at all the haters expense.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hello Rose and all Roselanders. I enjoyed your post and also found it very funny. I don't know how these nonstens or whatever they are could insult Rob and Kris and still call themselves fans. I do not believe Rob or Kris would cheat on the other. There is too much love and respect between them, and seeing them on the MTV Awards only proved how much they care for each other. These people are only showing how stupid they are to make these remarks.

It is very rare for two puppies from the same litter to look exactly the same. They share the puppy---people get over it.

Take are Roselanders and have a good week.

  21. BEACULEN...Surprisingly, my husband went with me to the movie...but I KNOW what you mean...my husband ...sigh....he thinks I'm losing my mind between Rob and Ghost related stuff (95 percent ROB) he probably thinks I should be locked up! Thank GOD he loves me so much! Lol...30...He takes my breath away every damn day! That's why I'm here!

  24. @beaculen: I finished Cosmopolis last month, and he does indeed look like Eric Packer from the book (of course, Rob was already cast when I was reading it!)... Not sure how many of you have read DeLillo's book, but I can't imagine how they'll make a movie from the story...I'm sure this is why they have someone like Cronenberg directing, and not me! haha

Super, love your avi...you look fab! My daw is totally into Paranormal States...that stuff simply creeps me out!

Sydney, love your comment, as usual...I can't count all the dogs I've adopted with friends! *eye roll*

Freddie, 30, Super, Melinda, & Katy: we are all on the same page...Rob cleans up quite nicely!

Groovie, hope you survived all of your conference calls :)

  26. Hi everybody :)

Wow, are the nonnies really saying that it's not the same dog? OMG, that's so... embarrassing...
Can't wait for a pic of Bear with R&K, the reaction should be interesting, lol.

One week since the MTV awards and Kristen is now dating Garrett and Rob is hooking up with Cronenberg's daughter... *facepalm*
    I have no words.

I should read this kind of crap more often, it makes me feel really normal and intelligent.

I found a nice quote that describes really well what the haters might feel about Kristen:

"Haters don't really hate you. They hate themselves because you're a reflection of what they wish to be."

    Ah, so true!

  38. Midnight Sun

    Ella Fitzgerald-1954:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-f53xo_NNF8

Your lips were like a red and ruby chalice
    Warmer than the summer night
The clouds were like an alabaster palace
    Rising to a snowy height

Each star its own aurora borealis
    Suddenly you held me tight
I could see the midnight sun

I can't explain the silver rain that found me
Or was that a moonlit veil
The music of the universe around me
    Or was that a nightingale

And then your arms miraculously found me
    Suddenly the sky turned pale
I could see the midnight sun

    Was there such a night
    It's a thrill I still don't quite believe
    But after you were gone
There was still some stardust on my sleeve

The flame of it may dwindle to an ember
And the stars forget to shine
And we may see the meadow in December
    Icy white and crystalline

But oh my darling always I'll remember
When your lips were close to mine
And we saw the midnight sun

    Thankk you/sondenkind

  42. Hello Roseland..
I'm passing for a quick hi before going to bed.. since my day has been kinda terrible..
Someone hacked my email and had fun deleteing my youtube account.. I got it re-opened but all my videos and comments are gone...
Not happy with that, she/he also went on my Account and deleted all the stories I was writing.. so now all the work I've done in almost 2 years is basically gone...
    everything..
i was feeling so down that I cant even tell you..
I can understand so much Rob's bad feelings of someone hacking his email.. it's just truly horrible to feel so violated like this.. :(
Also i have some form of conjunctivitis and I needed my eye to rest, yet i've been all day on the PC trying to figure this out.. and I couldnt even repeat some stuff for the exam i'm having tomorrow...
and I'm so sorry to coming and vent on here :( I just was feeling like let you know I'm still alive..
definitely down, but still alive.. :(

    thanks for your posts Rose.
    talk to you soon ladies!

  44. Fio,

So sorry you're having a bad day. It sounds like the world is conspiring against you right now. I have no words of advice other than at some point just let it go and begin anew. That's easier said than done, I'm sure.

The important things now are, take care of your eye and focus on the exams. The rest will have to wait.

  45. Fio - I'm so sorry to hear that you got hacked and that they destroyed your writing. That's really horrible.

I am so sorry to hear your sad news!! It is terrible to lose things you have worked so hard on. You are so talented...try not to let this get you down. Please take care of your eye!! Sending you prayers and a friendly hug!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hey Kenzz and Hope - I hope you're both doing well.

Hope - have you returned to earth yet after the Mavericks' win?

Kenzz - how is it going?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hi Freddie, how's life up in your part of the world? Things are good here...one of the kiddos gets out of school this week, so I feel like my real job begins for the summer! Actually, he goes to day camp during the week, so at least he stays busy...

We're enjoying a professional hockey resurgence here as we're now down to the final game of the Stanley Cup tournament (Boston against Vancouver)...are you a Canucks fan?

    ReplyDelete
  50. BTW, massive congrats sent out to Hope on your team's big WIN!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Fio do you have any idea WHO did this?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hi Kenzz - things are good here, thanks. Things are just busy at work at the moment. It has gone from being a little bit on the quiet side to crazy busy within the past few weeks.

Yes, I guess summer is a busy time for moms, when the kids are out of school. I guess being Entertainment Director is a key part of the overall job description. LOL.

While I normally cheer for the Montreal Canadians, I guess I am sort of pulling for the Canucks given how long it has been since a Canadian team has won the cup. At the beginning of the season I heard the sports commentators predicting that the Canucks would be a contendor, but the Bruins sure made short order of them last night. Game 7 will be very exciting.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Oops...typo - "contender". Maybe I was thinking of that line "I coulda been a contendor" (or something like that).

Hi 30 - hope you are well.

    ReplyDelete
  54. @Freddie...or if you're from Boston, "contendaahh" :)

    ReplyDelete
  55. FIO...I am so sorry...we love you...

Hello Kenzz and FREDDIE..Hope youve had a good day. I worked at the hospital today, then came home and took a cat nap( or it was supposed to be)on the couch in the sun room..turned out to be 2 hours..heh..then I got up and stum bled into the kitchen and made some spaghetti for dinner..yum

Daughters bday was yesterday, we went to Kobe steak house. They give way too much food. so I had planned to take home the leftovers when all of the sudden I dumped the entire amount into my lap when I attempted to scrape it into the styrofoam plate...

Yeah, Im starting the week off really well!

    Hello to Everybody.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oh Super, between you & Fio, what a horrid way to start the week :(

Although that nap sounds mighty refreshing!

Hope your week is on the upswing...and belated b-day wishes to your daw

    ReplyDelete
  57. Oh Kenzz - contendaahh - perfect. LOL.

Hey Super - sounds like a great afternoon taking a cat nap. Too bad about the food in the lap. I'm sure the week will pick up after that.

I think I'm off to pour myself a glass of wine. I have work to do and I think that will help it along (or not!). LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Freddie: I've been cutting back on the booze, but the hubs is out of town on biz, so I caved and poured myself a cheap glass of white-or two- called 'fliplop' chardonnay (getting me in the mood for "summah")...surprisingly, not bad for a summer swill :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. @ Love...where's the love, sugar?

    ReplyDelete
  60. *typo*...should be "flipflop" chardonnay

    ReplyDelete
  61. KENZZ..Im certainly not complaining after readig FIOs comment

FREDDIE..Have a glass of wine for me as well...it will make your evening of work related activities go smoothly FOR SURE!!!!

LOVE...((((BIG KICK..stand back now because it might hurt a little bit)))!!!! Ooooouch!!! heh you know LOVE spelled backward is EVOL (lets replace the O with an I)

    ReplyDelete
  62. I love how easily the word 'fact' is thrown around. Too funny.

Fiorels: so sorry to hear about what's happened to you.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Super: Isn't that the truth...no matter how bad you think you have it, there's always someone out there hurting more than you! I've always invested in the belief that the trick is to focus your energies on helping those more needful-in the moment...It's guaranteed to rearrange your priorities, and ensure a happier day!!

Maybe if we all send a little bit of good wishes to Fio, her karma will improve...(attribute these wise words to Guru Kenzz...haha)

BTW, you cannot believe the verif words I'm presented with...the latest is mismsmmsb...I feel like I'm logging onto my bank's website to pay my bills online!!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hi ladies, gents, and lurkers. I'm finally taking a minute to put my feet up and relax a bit.

Fio, I already told you how sorry I am. Sending you that cyber hug, sweetie.

Super, Happy Birthday to your daughter. You spilling the food on your lap sounds just like something I would do. How embarrassing!

Hello to Sydney, Freddie, Kenzz, 30, Hope & anyone else here (except the trouble maker who seriously needs to go away)

    ReplyDelete
  65. Hi Freddie and Kenzz...
We were at the nail salon earlier getting mom/daughter pedicures. Just returned from dinner out.

Yes...We are still high on winning the NBA championship. Dallas is a big sports city and we have waited forever to finally win. My man Dirk, really deserved it.

So...are you working too hard these days? Is it time for that second blood test for Tomas?

Kenzz..are you all ready for summer vacation?

    Hi Dottie, Super, Sydney, 30

    ReplyDelete
  66. Omg...laughing out loud.

    Hey girls!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Aww I just read that Natalie Portman had a baby boy. How nice for her!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Fio- I'm so sorry to hear this has happened to you. Take care, sweetie...((Hugs))

Freddie- Work sounds really hectic, hang in there :)

Hi Super, dottie, Hope, Kenzz and Sydney :)

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hi dottie- I'm great, thanks for asking. I hope you too :)

    ReplyDelete
  70. Dottie: that felt like the longest pregnancy ever. I'm happy for her though.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Hi Rhonda, Sydney, Hope and dottie - I'm trying to multi-task (work, lurk and drink wine) but I'm not doing a particularly good job at any of them at the moment. It sure isn't getting my work done.

    How are you all?

Hope - mom and daughter pedicures sounds wonderful!!!

    ReplyDelete
  72. dottie: love your avi! I'll remember that when I'm out by the pool or on the beach with my bubblegum-pink leather encased Kindle! (hubby's gift to me, obviously not MY first choice! lol)

Hope: the daw & I are doing the pedicure thing this weekend or next together... she is so ticklish, even the pedicurists laugh!

And no, I'm truly not ready for summer vaca...it's such a chore trying to sign them up for interesting experiences that
    a) won't break the bank
    b) will offer them an Experience (which may or may not be classified as strictly educational)
& c) will afford ME some time to enjoy the summer! (I know, I'm a selfish b*tch)

    ReplyDelete
  73. Freddie- It sounds like work is keeping you busy these days.

Hope- I forgot to say congrats on your Maverick's win :)

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hi, Rose! *Applause and Standing Ovation!* I just found your blog today while robsten/twilight surfing ... love love love your writing, your humor, your ability to express "just what I'm thinking" (along with lots and lots of other robsten fans). Thanks, for being one of the few sane voices in the crazy crowd of "fans" ... I'll be back daily for my "rose-fix" and to watch the countdown along with you! Thanks, again! Kim

    ReplyDelete
  75. HI to Rhonda & Sydney, who snuck in whilst I was typing!

How are you ladies this evening?

    ReplyDelete
  76. P.S. Sydney - I'm from Florida. Pensacola, Florida.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hey Rhonda and all the other ladies here...hope everyone is having a great start to the week.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Melinda - hey! Okay so, are you familiar with Longboat Key? I think I'm going in a few weeks. A friend has been given the opportunity to see the 'last' Spaceshuttle launch so I think we're going. But staying in Longboat Key.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Hi Melinda! Welcome Kimberly, hope you'll find this group as irreverent, wise, empathetic, sarcastic, and sweet as I have!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Melinda- Same to you. I was glad to hear you enjoyed the concert...I knew you would :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. Kenzz - A pink kindle sounds like a sweet gift. Your hubby was trying to give you something "girly". Good luck on your summer vacay plans. You'll have to let us know what you decide on. With the move and all I think this summer is a bust as far as a vacation goes for us. I'm thinking a long week end in Nashville might be fun though. :)

Freddie is lurking, working, and drinking wine.... hmmm I wonder which activity will win out in the end?? LOL

    Hey Melinda!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Sydney, my hubs was down on the eastern seaborad of Fl about 5 years ago..he witnessed (from afar) the launch of the shuttle, and has yet to stop talking about it's impact on him & the others in the waterfront restaurant. Enjoy!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Sydney, That sounds so cool! Literally a once in a lifetime opportunity.

    Welcome Kimberly :)

    ReplyDelete
  84. dottie - does the fact that I'm here responding answer that question?? Hope you are well.

Hey Rhonda - glad things are good. Yes, things are a tad busy at the moment.

Sydney - getting to see the last space shuttle launch would be great. You will be seeing history made.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Fredster, YES! And I'm so happy that you are still here with us instead of focusing on boring old work! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  86. Sydney-

Longboat is a pretty area. Actually all of Sarasota/Tampa/St. Pete is.

It's on the opposite side of the state as the shuttle launch but 3 1/2 hour drive from one side to the other is not too big a deal.

    Why Longboat?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Kenzz, Sydney- That's so cool, I've always wanted to be there for a shuttle launch.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Kenzz - I am so excited about it. We found out about it Sunday and have done nothing but plan since. I'm booking my flight tomorrow.

The launch...I can't even imagine what it will feel like. And bonus...it's in Florida. I can't wait.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Hey Kenzz, Dottie and Freddie!

Rhonda- been meaning to ask, was the Adele concert that you were going to one of the ones she had to cancel?

    ReplyDelete
  90. dottie: you're right, and believe me, he's such a sweetie! I may slip the pink cover along to my teen daw this summer, though, and switch out to a more subtle black...

How has the move progressed? Have you unpacked the important stuff yet? I remember some of the happiest days of my life were when we moved into our current home a dozen years ago, and I only had a frypan and saucepan unpacked. I had to wash those suckers after every meal, and I couldn't have been happier! I think the simplicity brought a new (albeit fleeting) focused moment to my chaotic life!

So happy you're back online, and able to check in without driving thru McDonald's!!

    ReplyDelete
  91. Melinda: quite simply because a friend has a house there. Right on the water. When we realized it was only about a three hour drive we figured why not? The launch is only one day and the rest of the trip will be spent on the beach.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Sydney-

The shuttle launches are so cool. I'm going to most likely go out on the beach and watch it but it won't be the same as seeing it there.

The only launch I've been to is a night one. It was beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Hey Melinda - hope all is well.

dottie - I'm working two PC's here - my work PC and my personal one. I'm getting whiplash looking between the two and I have to be careful where I click.. LOL. You were having remodeling done in the kitchen. What did you have done?

    ReplyDelete
  94. Sydney: soooooooo jealous!!

Rhonda: were you really going to see Adele? I must have missed that post...at the risk of repeating myself, sooooooo jealous!!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Melinda: from how far away can you see them?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Melinda- Yes, she has cancelled the rest of her tour due to laryngitis...:(

    ReplyDelete
  97. Kenzz- Yes, she was going to be in Nashville. I'm sick over it :(

    ReplyDelete
  98. Sydney-

Well that makes sense (staying in Longboat). Honestly the west coast of Florida is much prettier than the east coast unless you are down in Miami.

If you like roller coasters and it fits your time/budget then head to Busch Gardens in Tampa (a little over an hour from where you are staying).

    ReplyDelete
  99. @Rhonda: I'm so sorry for you to have missed Adele...hopefully she'll be back soon...at least Nashville is a big hub on the musicians tour, I would imagine! How's everything else in your life? Good, bad, or somewhere in-between?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Rhonda...we wanted to see Adele...she was scheduled to be here tomorrow. Hopefully she will return to the US soon. Love her!!

    Is everything okay with you?

    ReplyDelete
  101. Sydney-

I lived in Daytona Beach when I was a kid. We would always go over to the beach and watch the shuttle launches. The way the shuttles launch they go right over the beach so anyone on the east coast can pretty much see them.

Once a shuttle is up in the air you can see them from the middle of the state actually. It's really cool to watch.

You'll love it. Did you get actual tickets to watch it?? I know they were doing a lottery for the final launch.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Sydney,

I've been catching up here and see you're asking about Longboat Key. We stayed either there or at Bradenton Beach about 10 years ago. They are very close to each other. If I recall not much to do other than a few bars and restaurants but that could have changed. It was pretty and the beach was great. Not too far away is Sarasota and a fantastic shopping area called St Armand's Circle. Lots of high end shops and eateries.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Rhonda-

That sucks!! I feel bad for all the people that were impacted by her being sick. And for her as well. I'm sure she is upset about it as well.

    Freddie-

I'm well thanks. Sounds like work is keeping you on your toes lately! :)

    ReplyDelete
  104. Kenzz, You are so right about the move forcing a more simplistic lifestyle, at least for a little while. We are slowly getting there but things inside the house have slowed down this week. We are getting the little guest house in back ready for my oldest son to move into. Today we primed, tomorrow we paint. Hopefully he will be in by the week-end.

Freddie - We had to have some cabinets altered in the kitchen to fit the refrigerator where I wanted it. It wasn't that big of a job but the sawdust was everywhere! I'm still waiting for cabinet doors to be put back on and one cabinet to be painted, but at least all the cutting is done. I'm also having a platerack/shelf built.

Anyone still awake after that boring tale??? LOL

Sydney, I'm familiar w/that area in FL. My in laws live just north of Tampa in Largo.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Kenzz- Thanks, I'm doing really good. I hope you are as well :)

Hope- I know, she's amazing. I heard she might reschedule some dates so...*fingers crossed*

    ReplyDelete
  106. Melinda - we do have tickets, but only two of them and four of us are going, so we'll see how that plays out. A friend in politics got them. Either way we'll all make the trip to Cape Canaveral, and two of us will go and two of will watch from somewhere close by. Thanks for your info on the area.

Penny - the friend who's place it is was once the grandparents place so I'm assuming it's not going to be the most happening place on the planet. But I'm going to Vegas next weekend so I'm thinking I'll get the crazy party out of my system and just enjoy the weather and the view. Thanks for the recommendations in Sarasota. We'll probably fly in there. Could be nice to hit up some nice stores.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Dottie- It sounds like you haven't slowed down at all since the move,
    you need a break :)

    ReplyDelete
  108. Hi IB - great to see you. How have you been?

    ReplyDelete
  109. Sydney-

There are so many places to view the shuttle launch over there off site. Will recommend getting there as early as possible. Since it's the final one they are expecting larger crowds.

If you haven't been to NASA's website yet they list all the different places to watch the launch.

It's history in the making so you can't go wrong. Have a great time (in Vegas too)!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Rhonda, I don't even know what day of the week it is anymore! Thankfully, I see light at the end of the tunnel. A break sounds really good.

    Hey IB!

I'm going to run now but it's been great catching up. Take care!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Rhonda (and Hope)-

I hope Adele reschedules so ya'll can see her. She is one of the few singers that are actually really good live, imo.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Sydney,

I'm sure you'll have a great time whether there is a lot of night life or not.

Hi to everyone. I'm just passing through. Have a good night.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Hey IB! Are you done yet??? :)

    Night Dottie...have a restful night.

    ReplyDelete
  114. WOW!! Everybody's here! I have been very busy with school and cheerleading leading is great..we just moved into our own gym....I was at the new gym until 3 AM, Friday night, helping to lay the gymnastics spring floor! We had our open house on Saturday and it was well attended :)

  116. Nite PL! I have missed you!

No, Melinda, we are NOT finished yet :(...the kids come until next Thursday and I have to go in on Friday for a Superintendent's Conference Day!?!?

Sounds like everyone is busy and well!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Awww, Kenzz and dottie are leaving too?

Hi Freddie *waves* How are you??

    ReplyDelete
  118. IB- I hope the rest of the week goes easy for you. I'm sure everyone is getting a bit anxious by now.

I'm going to jet on out. Want to catch up on some reading before bed.

    Have a wonderful peaceful night....

    ReplyDelete
  119. Weird. My post was here but then gone.

Anyway - thanks Melinda and Penny for the recommendations. It I'd much appreciated.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I'm out too...have a great night everyone :)

    Laters...

    ReplyDelete
  121. Night Melinda and Rhonda.

IB - I'm good. I'm supposed to be working, but I keep ducking in to lurk (and post). Glad all is well with you. You sound very busy - but it sounds like a good busy.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Hi IB - yes, I'm working from home. I can log in through our VPN (virtual private network) to my work files and work from here. It's convenient. Sometimes too convenient.

So did I understand this correctly...are you leading cheerleading?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Freddie~Technology is so cool...you can work right at home....no, I am not leading cheerleading, it was a typo.....I did do a cartwheel the other night on the new gym floor, though! First cartwheel in like 20 years!

    ReplyDelete
  124. IB - I'm impressed. That's more than I could do at the moment. Glad all is well. I'm going to have to sign off and actually get some work accomplished. Look forward to talking with you again soon. Stay well.

    But me-ee
    I love you more.

    Mabel: Hinesy, Hinesy
Hines: I've learned my lesson Mabel, I'll never be jealous again.
Mabel: You stick to that now
    Hines: Absolutely

Mabel: Now that's easier said than done.
    Hines: I can do it
    Mabel: I knew it
but lets take an example, just for fun
Picture this, you sitting here waiting for her to come back from a date

Hines: there I am, sitting and waiting for her to come back from a date
Mabel: Here she comes, her blouse is unbutton her stockings are not very straight
Hines: Here she comes, her blouse is unbuttoned her stockings are not very straight
Mabel: Later on, she gets a bouque with a card in it saying "Baby, you were great"
"Well, Hinesy, what would you do then?"

Hines: I would trust her, I would trust her, by George, I swear I would trust her
No I'll never be jealous again

    Mabel: Nice work, Hinesy
Hines: I knew I could do it Mablel
Mabel: Now lets take another example
Picture this, you've got nothing to do so you drop in to chat for awhile
Hines: There I am, I've got nothing to do so I drop in to chat for awhile
Mabel: Somethings up, the windows are open and Gladys is forcing a smile
Hines: Somethings up, the window is open and Gladys is forcing a smile
Mabel: There you see, a shirt and a tie and pair of pants in a nice neat little pile
    "Well, Hinesy"

Hines: I woud trust her, I would trust her, by George I swear I would trust her
Oh I'll never be jealous, I'll never never never never...be jealous again
Mabel: That's it Hinesy you're practically cured!

Hines: There'll be no more nightmares to sleep through
No more key holes to peep through

Mabel: No more bushes to creep through
    Hines: That's my plan
Mabel: Well now that you're a new man
Picture this, you go to your sweeties apartment you borrow the key
Hines: There I am, I go to my sweeties apartment, I borrow the key
Mabel: There she is, she's giving a sailor a very affectionate squeeze
Hines: There she is, she's giving a sailor a very affectionate squeeze
Mabel: Then, to boot, she tells you she was in the arms of a cousin who was back from over seas
Hines: A COUSIN BACK FROM OVER SEAS? DO YOU EXPECT ME TO BEL-
    Mabel: Hinesy...

Hines: I would trust her, I would trust her, by George I swear, I would trust her
No I'll never be jealous...I'll never never never never never....never be jealous again

    This was my once-a-year day
    once-a-year day

    Like a kangaroo
    Jumpin' fences, climbin' trees,
What pleases me is what I'll do, 'cause

    This is our once-a-year day
    once-a-year day
    Everyone's entitled to be wild,
be a child, be a goof, raise the roof
    Once a year!

    This is our once-a-year day

once a year we're jumping fences
    This is our once-a-year day
    once-a-year day
Once a year we lose our senses!

Babe: Look at Charlie up a tree
    Kissin' Katie's ear,
Charlie's wife is mad as hell!

Oh well it happens once a year
And this is that once-a-year day

  129. Let's Go Now!

    Hernando's Hideaway

Carol Haney & John Raitt (Pajama Game 1957)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLuwyTzAQH8

I know a dark secluded place
A place where no one knows your face
A glass of wine a fast embrace
    It's called Hernando's Hideaway
    Ole!

    All you see are silhouettes
And all you hear are castanets
And no one cares how late it gets
    Not at Hernando's Hideaway
    Ole!

    At the golden fingerbowl
    Or any place you go
    You'll meet your uncle Max
    And everyone you know

But if we go to the spot
    That I am thinking of
    You will be free
    To gaze at me
    And talk of love

    Just knock three times
    And whisper low
That you and I were sent by Joe

    Then strike a match
    And you will know
    You're in Hernando's Hideaway
    OLE!

    Thank you/MarcosCohen

Been posting songs from the Pajama Game musical movie 1957.

I've got you in mind, for no particular reason, but pajamas do come to mind.

    :)

  131. Gin & tonic, is also coming into my mind. Soon into my mouth.

Any song requests darlin' Roselanders or lurkers?

If not, I shall carry on my wayward ones...

  132. Carry On Wayward Son

    Kansas:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQru7oCdYXA

    Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
    Don't you cry no more

Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
    I was soaring ever higher
    But I flew too high

    Though my eyes could see
I still was a blind man
    Though my mind could think
I still was a mad man
I hear the voices when I'm dreamin'
    I can hear them say

    Carry on my wayward son,
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
    Don't you cry no more

Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man
It surely means that I don't know

On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about I'm like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune
But I hear the voices say

    Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
    Don't you cry no more
    NO!

Carry on, you will always remember
Carry on, nothing equals the splendor
Now your life's no longer empty
    Surely heaven waits for you

I, too, loved Donovan back in the day. His music was so mellow and upbeat, while being mystical. I'll post one for us right now.

    Catch The Wind

    Donovan:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihd2aKEUeac

In the chilly hours and minutes
    Of uncertainty
    I want to be
    In the warm hold
    Of your loving mind

To feel you all around me
    And to take your hand
    Along the sand
Ah, but I may as well try
    And catch the wind

    When sundown pales the sky
    I wanna hide a while
    Behind your smile
    And everywhere I'd look
    Your eyes I'd find

For me to love you now
    Would be the sweetest thing
    T'would make me sing
Ah, but I may as well
    Try and catch the wind

    When rain has hung
    The leaves with tears
    I want you near
    To kill my fears
    To help me to leave
    All my blues behind

    For standin' in your heart
Is where I want to be
    And I long to be
Ah, but I may as well
    Try and catch the wind

    Thank you/ILoveTheRain10

  136. For All Of Us

    Colours

    Donovan (Vinyl 1968):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqkS5dVMbNc

Yellow is the colour of my true love's hair,
In the morning, when we rise,
In the morning, when we rise.
That's the time, that's the time,
    I love the best.

Blue's the colour of the sky,
In the morning, when we rise,
In the morning, when we rise.
That's the time, that's the time,
    I love the best.

Green's the colour of the sparklin' corn,
In the morning, when we rise,
In the morning, when we rise.
That's the time, that's the time,
    I love the best.

Mellow is the feeling that I get,
    When I see her, m-hmm,
When I see her, oh yeah.
That's the time, that's the time,
    I love the best.

Freedom is a word I rarely use,
    Without thinking, m-hmm,
    Without thinking, oh yeah.
Of the time, of the time,
    When I've been loved.

    Thank you/oldies55

  137. A storm is a-booming outside, and I'm about to play the pajama game myself.

Nothing so cozy as something snuggly like pajamas, imo. Well, maybe something else is more cozy, but alas, pajamas it is for moi.

Happy Hump Day! See you, buds.

  138. DK,
Thank you for the Pajama Game show tunes. I went over to you-tube and watched for a bit. I loved all the old musicals and remember this one. Watch Steam Heat, great choreography. John Raitt is Bonnie Raitt's(love her) father, little trivia there. Anyway loved the songs!
Sorry, that I have missed you. Life has been way too busy... Graduation celebrations are done and I am caught up on the gardening, so summer fun can officially begin. Hopefully I will get to catch up with my favorite night owls soon.

    Fio,
I was going to tell you how much I loved the MTVMA video and am so sorry to read about the hacking. Wow, what a violation. What the hell is wrong with some people?

It was fun to see so many of you here commenting last night. It seems like all is well in Roseland.
I hope Smitty, Gruff and Syd are enjoying the start of summer and each other!

I just read that Carolina Herrera designed Bella's wedding dress. What fun, her dresses are beautiful.

    Have a great day eveyone!

  139. Good morning everyone!

Fio: I'm so sorry for what happened. That's awful!
I can't understand why anyone would find it fun erasing someone's hard work.
Don't let it stop you and the best of luck with your exams.

    Have a great Wednesday Roseland!

    Take care all!

  141. Hello Roselanders..
passing again for a quick hi (seems like that's all i've been doing lately; so sorry I really can't find time to stay longer and chat with you..). I didn't even read all the comments on here but wanted to thank you and telling you how much I appreciate your support!
I've just come back from uni.. exam went well thank god (29/30) xx
But the eye is much worse today ;/ I'm just gonna get in bed and watch Eclipse commentary again.. It may be strange but it's the only thing cheering me up now..
I couldnt sleep last night so at about 3 am, I got up and put the commentary in my ears and there you go.. I was laughing alone in my bed lol
I wish I could thank Rob and Kristen for being so lovely in that... It truly is like the best way to raise spirits when you are feeling a little down.. You just can't help smiling and laughing..
I have one other exam in one week from now, anyway I'll try to catch up with posts and comments as soon as my eye recovers a bit..cause right now it's a pain to be on the pc.. ;/
in the meantime, I wish you all a good day, good week and the best to all of you!

    *hugs to everyone*
