Rob and Kristen-- All That Matters...

A walk a day keeps the doctor away...

Random Rose.

1. SO MUCH CHATTER about Rob and the Jeff Buckley movie.
Really?
Why is this such a big deal again?
I don't get it.
For one thing...
IT HASN'T BEEN CONFIRMED.
So why bother getting all frenzied and foaming
until we know what is going on.
And even if he does take the role...
Um... HELLO?
He IS an actor after all.
Right away I get a zillion DMs and emails
wondering how in the world can
Rob and Kristen
make it work if he's not in London with her
while she films SWATH.
Good Fucking Grief.
 Whatever happens...
It will work out the way
Rob and Kristen want it to.
You know?
Cuz it's their life.
Their relationship.

I have a friend...
who is in a similar situation.
I asked him his opinion about this
and this is what he had to say...
I kinda think it is perfection.

"Its a bitch, clearly things would be easier
if I was a plumber and she was a waitress.
But she would be miserable and I've never cared much for toilets.
I'm not so worried about being separated anymore.
We know this is right.
We know this is who we are and how we want to live our lives.
Its more of just a nuisance but its also part of our jobs,
and part of who we are.
The comings and goings are not what matters.
All that matters is that we stay close
and being in the same place doesn't guarantee that.
God, I know plenty of people that are together constantly
and still fall apart.
Nor does the distance make it impossible.
Its more about us and less about location.
She could live on a block of ice at the South Pole
and I would still feel her close to me.
 I'm not worried."

Oh Yeah I'll Tell You Something..

 I Think You'll Understand

When I Say That Something

I Wanna Hold Your Hand!

2. Poor Bear.
That poor puppy.
OK... he's not a poor puppy...
He's probably one of the luckiest dogs alive
But MY GOD people.
"It's not Kristen's dog, it's ROB'S dog!"
What
The
Fuck
Ever.
If you truly believe that Kristen was just
some glorified dog-sitter...
You are even more desperate than I thought.
"I bet she just dropped off the dog and left
and didn't even stay in Toronto"
Yeah.
OK.
Keep chanting she wasn't in Toronto...

People are always screaming PR!
Yet always getting so angry and upset
every time there is any sighting of Rob and Kristen together.
Racing to 'debunk' it
(BTW? coming up with shit excuses doesn't debunk anything)
calling it bullshit
lies
and
hating on anyone who has the audacity to
say that Rob and Kristen are together.
If you believe its PR... why do you fight it so hard??
How does that make sense?
Don't answer.
It's a rhetorical question.

Of course we share clothes... we share everything!

 3. Am I the only one who finds the whole
Rob is cheating
Kristen is cheating
bullshit so so so SO tedious?
People make up 'sightings'
put them on the AT boards/Twitter
and then the same people who make up the shit
respond to it trying to make people believe it.
Kinda sad... don't ya think?

Hey.
If there ever comes a day when I think
Rob and Kristen aren't together...
I will accept it.
Because I don't 'ship' anyone.
I believe.
And when Rob starts hanging out with some other girl
Vacations with her
(and kisses her)
Spends time with her family and his on holidays.
Travels to where she works to hang out with her
(and nuzzles and kisses her)
Invites her to his movie premieres
(and holds her hand and kisses her)
Shows up at private weddings
(and gently caresses her face)
and restaurants
and concerts
(oh the endless cuddling and kissing)
and adopt a puppy with her?
Then I will believe he is with someone else.
You know?
Until then...
We all know exactly who he is with.
Who he wants to be with.
Who he is always with.
That would be Kristen.

Green Sheep. And Ducks.

4. I'm not sure how old this picture is...
With the flowers and ducks.
But then I see that hat.
That damn hat.
God... he must love that hat.
The Tom and the Hat.

  1. Your friend has very wise words!

Great post, love the pictures as always and regardless of Rob & Kristen's working schedules, of course they will make it work. Do people think they don't communicate and plan things together?

Anyhow, happy hump day everyone! Have a good one! I'm off to more meetings..

  2. Aww Rose, love what your friend said. Makes perfect sense. i guess some people have never experienced true love, kinda sad. Thanks for the post and lovely pictures!

  3. Hi Rose,

Sweet post, your friend is very wise indeed. Rob and Kristen have been making it work for a long time now..no doubts they will continue to do so :)

Hi everyone- I hope it's been great <3

  4. Rose, your friend is very wise and could have been describing my life. I think we've been together for 6 days in as many weeks, that's been our life for about 17 years. When it's right,it's right, it doesn't matter if you're geographically separated, you make it work. As I said to Miss Smitty a while ago,one of the positives is that we tend to let go of stupid arguments since we hate the idea of being at loggerheads when one of us has to leave, you tend to be kinder to each other when you know you're going to be apart so distance can be a good thing :)

  5. Rose you and your friend are funny :D

and I've never cared much for toilets

  6. All of the made up tweets, sightings and bullshit is just so predictable and tiresome....seriously, what is the point in doing that? No matter where they are or what they are doing in their lives and careers, Rob and Kristen seem to have things figured out in their relationship...under their terms. Jeez, people need to relax a bit and stop putting their own relationship expectations on them....they are happy, together.

Thanks for the post, Rose and for sharing your friends wise words.

Hi everyone and happy hump day, Roseland! :)

  7. i believe it's kids, like 17, go down, who are on their phones and comp, tweets all these nonsense, of course they have no idea of true love, they are young and insecure! they believe a couple must, eat sleep and s---, together! they only spread the rumors, now i'll be honest, i was angry, and said to myself, kristen know there will be talk, yet she went out with friends and garret, yes i was pissed, but who care what i thought? i'm weak that way, when it comes to rob, saw garret, in hawaii, his hair to me looks very famalar!

  8. Wonderful post Rose, and you do have a very funny friend. I can say from my own personal experience long-distance relationships DO work. Hubby and I dated 6.5 years before getting married, never living in the same city the entire time. We both had jobs and grad school to get through ~ we saw each other most weekends, but not every single one. We had our own lives and more to share because of our varied experiences! We have been together 25 years now, so I think it worked out ok for us!

Best to all my buddies here ~ HI Rhonda!

  11. Hi, Rose!! Sweet post

I love what your friend said, very wise!

If Rob gets the Jeff Buckley Role, and they have to be in different areas of the world due to their jobs...they will work something out they always have. If they are happy, then I am happy for them.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous day.

    Take care and be happy

  12. ROSE your friend's sweet words reminded me of when my hubs & I had to be apart alot when we were engaged and after we married.

The only thing I ever feared during that time was that we would get used to being apart and it wouldn't bother us anymore. I saw that happen w/friends in the same situation and never wanted it to happen to us. Luckily it didn't.I like to think we would have made some major changes if we felt our relationship was suffering, and I feel confident Rob and Kristen would do the same. They are smart and they know what's really important.

Sorry to be long-winded. It baffles me after all this time people still worry that Rob and Kristen will let something hurt their relationship. They have always seemed so protective of it, I can't imagine they would start treating it carelessly now.

    Hugs to all my friends!

  14. I love your friend's message, Rose. He's so right. Love is less about logistics than genuine feeling.

I really don't know why so many get so exercised about where Rob and Kris are in juxtaposition to each other. It's their life and they'll do what they want. Correction: Are doing what they want.

  15. Hi Rose,

    Thanks for your post.

I’m just popping in quickly to say hi to everyone. I hope everyone is well.

While it’s nice to think of Rob being in London while Kristen films SWATH, I have confidence that whatever happens, Rob and Kristen will do what is right for them.

Fio – hope you are feeling better.

Stay well all, and hope to talk to you later, between Powerpoint slides…..

  16. Hello dear Rose and Roseland,

I am just saying hello. Haven't stopped in awhile and hoping everyone is well. I wanted to share this video in case anyone doesn't know who Buckley is. HIs story is tragic--father was a brilliant musician who died too young. Then Jeff (the son) drowned at age 30. He was amazing and had a beautiful voice. Enjoy--

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKnxmkOAj88

    Take care and stay well.

Rose--great job with the post. I adore the way you write...and stuff.

  17. Boy your friend is a smart guy...wish everyone that gets in a tizzy over them being apart could read those words and take heed.

They are a sweet couple. We see what they have(the normal fans)and can't help smile and cheer them on.

Love the picture of Tom in his duck and tulip sweater. Takes a secure man... :)

    Happy Wednesday friends!

  21. Happy Wednesday, Rose, enjoyed your post. Your friend's words were very wise. I ignore all the rumors about Rob and/or Kristen cheating. I have faith that they are doing what is right for their relationship, and I do not believe either one would cheat on the other, I just do not believe it. They have too much respect for each other, and too much love, they are not going to do that.

Take care Rose and all Roselanders, and have a good week.

You have missed tons, tons of misinformation and tons of other stuff. I'd say, lucky for you.

  26. Melinda, I love that quote!

    Hello to Syd!

I just got back from taking some dinner to my dad. When he opened the door he had on a lime green mullet wig! LOL I think he's finally gone 'round the bend! I'm still giggling and in a bit of shock from the whole experience.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Cj-

I think that rumour has yet to be confirmed. Supposedly the principle people that were up for the role have been told no final decision has been made. Whether or not Penn has it sealed is certainly not confirmed. Sometimes when actors want roles they will get it out there that they already have it--its a risky move but it does work now and again. In any case I doubt Rob is "crying" as one tabloid reported.

Hi DK! How's my favourite songstress tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Syd- Thanks, I'm having a good one. How about you?

Hi dottie- Lol, lime green, huh?

  31. @DreamerKind

Nice to meet you, and I'm glad I made you smile, lol. Sorry, I'm a little out of the loop, as I'm on vacation. I tend to ignore at least half of the garbage that is written about Rob and Kris, much of it is so utterly ridiculous! We all know they are rock-solid and are great at making things work for them. But I've been trying to follow the Jeff Buckley news since it seemed like Rob would be a perfect fit. Although I do hate the idea of seeing him die in yet another movie...I know, pretty lame, but I always cry at the end of Remember Me! Anyway, thanks for the welcome, I read this blog and comments pretty regularly and always enjoy it! And love your song lyrics!!!

    @dottie
So often you write things that really move me, to laughter, remembering and feeling. I agree with the don't forget to miss your loved one bit, don't get complacent in being apart.
Also, green mullet, so funny, like my sister and I wearing wigs to my son's birthday fete.
Thought we were a little cracked, but we showed them all of the way cracked, applied instead.

  40. On the Jeff Buckley thing

You have to remember who the 'source' of this is, Hollywood Life.

Probably the most embarrassing and uninformed publication out there. If they put their words on paper I wouldn't wipe my ass with it.

They have also written a LOT of obvious lies about Rob and Kristen. They're the definition of trash IMO.

I'll support both Rob and Kristen 110% in whatever project they decide to do.

    ReplyDelete
  41. DK, Wearing a wig every now and again must be good for the soul! I think you and your sis wearing one to your son's bday celebration is brilliant!

Angelica, OOPS! I hope he has forgiven you by now. Where is your hubs at the moment? I had forgotten that he is away much of the time until I read your earlier post.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hi Claire - Well yes, if we believe Hollywood Life, Rob's busy planning a simple wedding in London, while Kristen's on a date with Garrett so of course they must be right about this!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Great post Rose..

All the opinions in the world won't change the fact that Rob & Kristen KNOW what is right for them!

    - Just as your wise friend said.. They are 'close' no matter how far apart they are!

I love love love (ed) Jeff Buckley.. & would be pleased to see the movie come to fruition !
I can't help but think Tom would fit the role- physically & his demeanor! - just a random thought :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hi Rose and Everyone out there in Roseland,

It's been awhile since I commented, though I've been lurking. Rose, your friend's comments about being "close" when two can't be physically close are right on, ain't it the truth? Look at Dolly Parton and her hubby, been together for 30 or so years and are apart most of the time. And he is SO RIGHT that it appears that just as many couples who are together all the time break up as those that are apart a lot.

Oh, how we wonder where Kristen is, personally, I think she may have been in Toronto last weekend when those pics of Rob were taken on the balcony, maybe she was hiding in the room, lol Hopefully she's spending some time with her family before heading across the pond. Rob & Kris are so smart, they KNOW that they'll be together while she's filming in London and they'll both get to spend time with his family. Guess it'll be Bear's first trip to London!!!

Is everyone else as excited as I am to see Breaking Dawn? Summit knew what it was doing by releasing that trailer to tease us with the wedding and the scene with the "little nudger" where Kristen looks more beautiful than I've ever seen her look.

Sorry to ramble on, gotta go twirl!!! Because IF they're not together right now, as Rose says and I believe, also; THEY'LL BE TOGETHER SOON.

DK: you don't just belong to Syd as favorite songstress; the love of the rest of us knows no bounds where you and your playlists are concerned!

  51. Hello everyone --if i may add to what the estimable Syd had to say... oft times when a premature casting announcement is deployed, the actor involved doesnt' have a chance in hell of getting the part, but his management is leveraging the buzz around a project to make the actor seem more in demand.

I too could see Tom doing the role. He's such a talented guy and I would LOVE to see him get a break in mainstream Hollywood.

Although On The Road isn't exactly 'mainstream' I hope this is the movie where people really take notice of him.

  79. Super - how did you guess that I'd be hitting the drink again tonight??? It'll be a Dry Reisling tonight. And you? Are you one of the folks taste-testing red wine? Has the week been improving since the close encounter with the leftovers in your lap?

Hey Angelica - I can understand how it would be easy to mess up time-zones, considering how much your hubby travels, but I'm sure he was a bit shocked when the phone rang. LOL.

  80. Freddie, Hope, Rhonda, Super, Kenzz, Dottie: I'm feeling a bit better today. thanks for asking..
I passed my exam and the eye is recovering a bit after putting some cortisone (is it the right word..?) on it...
(btw, I also thanked you all for support in the last post, last comment of course since I always come when no one is around hehe).

Dottie- lol at your dad :)
about the hacker, I dont really know what to do about it.. I mean, i have the IP of this person but I'm still thinking if going to the police or not.. :/ I'll see what to do..
meantime I got my channel back but no videos on it, so have been re-uploading them all day =(
I'm just so sorry for the video for Kristen birthday.. that had such a great response.. everyone could see how amazing she is.. and now it's gone.. :( too bad..
anyway, I relised and am fully aware that these are not real tragedies of the world..
as long as I'm still pissed and feeling violated and bad about it.. I have to thank I'm alive, I have a family and a house...
So seriously.. I'm lucky enough to have all this...

Anyway.. is anybody still sober here after all the wine?? lol

DK: thanks for the music you've been posting in the previous posts! xx

Syd - thanks for the link. perfect for my mood tonight.

Of course I know Jeff Buckley story..
and I have to say (reliable or not) I'd love to see Rob playing the part.. and actually the fact that it would mean RK being apart didnt worry me at all..
also cause it should not worry any of us, since it's their life and their relationship...

Liz- twirling with you here :) and i'm so excited for BD as well! Cant wait!!

I also wanted to add how happy I am to hear about your storied with hubbies that worked even on distance! that's really great for you to have found someone like the ones you have! :')

about the rumors spreading on sites, AT, twitter and everything..
I don't believe a thing of what I read about RK LOL
i could easily go on the AT and say I saw Robert coming out from a plane's toilet with bushy hair and a girl who didnt look at all like Kristen... lol

    come on... that's insane *facepalm*

I love me some Georges D. too! We are united in our support of Bel Ami. (I fell a wee bit in love with him in the novel, for he was a lost boy, imo.)

    @Freddie
Hats, I have pics but got to find the usb cord and transfer and photoshop for best view.

Certainly Georges D. had lost his moral compass, but he did have an absent mother/father and lots of losses, that we today, would find many truths/reasons, to justify his behaviors.

Plus those women, although stuck in their time with its female limitations, did not hesitate to compromise their integrity for desire/love. Oh, well, the world turns on a dime or a dip.

  87. FREDDIE..I love Riesling!! Cheers!!! Well, I didnt have any major catastrophe today sooo,I guess things have settled down..lol

But I got to do my part cause I know in my heart
I got to please my sweet baby, yeah

    Well, I ain't superstitious

And I know that it's true that all the things that I do
Will come back to me in my sweet time
So keep on rock'n me baby
Keep on a rock'n me baby

    I went from Phoenix, Arizona
    All the way to Tacoma
    Philadelphia, Atlanta, L.A.

Northern California where the girls are warm
So I could be with my sweet baby, yeah

Keep on a rock'n me baby
    Baby, baby, baby
    Keep on rock'n

    Rock'n me baby
    Keep on a rock'n
    Rock'n me baby

    Don't get suspicious
    Now don't be suspicious
Babe, you know you are a friend of mine

And you know that it's true
That all the things that I do

I think I'll go across the ocean
If I don't change my notion
I've just got to forget you
    If I can

    I'm feeling so blue
I don't know what to do
    Because I'm head over heels
    In love with you

Every day is sad and lonely
For I'm thinking of you only
I just can't sleep when I lay down

Oh I'd like to be forgiven
But this life ain't worth living
If have to sit and worry over you

Oh the nights are long and dreary
All I do is sit and worry
I just can't bear the thought of losing you

I do my damnest to be enchanting, and looks like be damned, I am!

Fairy godmothers do have an advantage re: enchantment making, and I use it when I can get away with it.

I certainly love Rose, Syd, Smitty, Gruff, you and all Roselanders, Lurkers and some One-Off Ones, too. It isn't hard to do-you are all my bros, sisses, and mo'.

  99. Tom Sturridge would make a BRILLIANT Jeff Buckley. Brilliant.
    :*

    ReplyDelete
  100. Rose: I just googled a few photos/vids of Buckley...man, couldn't Tom do him justice? There is a definite resemblance or reminder of Tom in the angular features, that strength under the cuteness, and the obvious intelligence and soulfulness!

    ReplyDelete
  101. @Rose
You bet! Watched most of his audition video and it's all one could wish, in every way.

    Hi Rose :)

    ReplyDelete
  103. DK - well put: I'm lovin this little party of ours as well.

Hey Kenzz. Hey Rose. Hope you are both well. Hi Super (again).

I just watched the Jeff Buckley video that Syd posted. I can see what you are saying about Tom doing the role. There are similarities in appearance. I'm sure he would be quite wonderful in the part. At the same time, in listening to Jeff Buckley sing, I could hear real similarities in vocal style with Rob. It would be great to see Rob in a role where he could showcase his singing talents as well.

Thanks for posting the video Syd.

  104. Freddie- That's true, either one would be great.

  118. Dk,

Just passing by again but I wanted to let you know I enjoyed the Donovan selection this morning. I was too young to experience the 60's, but I thought by listening to Donovan I was a hippie. I still enjoy his music. I must not be alone because Cheerios used "Happiness Runs" in one of their commercials.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Hi DK,Rhonda,Kay,Claire, Fio, Super, Freddie, Kenzz, Angelica , IB , PrPro & everyone else.. It's taken so long to catch up.

Cheers to the ladies having a tipple! DK - I like the sound of your red! Also love your songs- I look forward to your selections :)

Rose & Claire-- I love that you agree about Tom = a great Jeff Buckley! I was worried some might take
offense.. He just has a quality that reminds me of the beautiful late JB.
Of course I am happy for Rob to get the role- as I could watch Rob in anything! :) ...

    I can't recall who mentioned BD 1 ... But I agree .. Nov can't come soon enough ;)

  120. @Penny Lane
Of course, I know that you were too young to enjoy the 60's, and I barely remember them, except to have gotten married and such, lol.

  121. DK Thanks for the link of Tom auditing for the Buckley role. It was great too see him in character for the part especially with a American accent. I can see him or Rob for this part I wonder if Tom plays (guitar) though? Regardless, both of them are talented enough for the role and my butt would be flocked too that theater. :)

Good evening! Glad you like them (songs).

I agree, Rob or Tom, either would be lovely.

Since the decision is so utterly out of my sphere of influence, I'm estatic to be able to adore either choice.

  123. hey there i'm really good

i'm teaching the summer session and today my students asked me about my ex wife. i told them i was married for 15 years and 6 of them were spent going to couples counselling, until one night i was in the middle of a sentence when the therapist began to snore. they got a hoot out of that

    That was very amusing.

How about a marriage counselor who says your spouse will never change, so best to get a divorce? That was a shocker.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gkif7gqv7Y8

I beg your pardon, mama, what did you say?
My mind was drifting off on Martinique Bay.

    It's not that I'm not interested, you see;
Augusta, Georgia is just no place to be.

I think Jamaican in the moonlight.
Sandy beaches, drinking rum every night.

    We got no money, mama, but we can go;
We'll split the difference, go to Coconut Grove.

Keep on talking, mama, I can hear
Your voice, it tickles down inside of my ear.

I feel a tropical vacation this year,
Might be the answer to this hillbilly fear.

I think Jamaican in the moonlight.
Sandy beaches, drinking rum every night.

    We got no money, mama, but we can go;
We'll split the difference, go to Coconut Grove.

    Voila! An American Dream.
Well, we can travel girl, without any means.
When it's as easy as closing your eyes
And dream Jamaica is a big neon sign.

Just keep talking, mama, I like that sound.
It goes so easy with that rain falling down.

I think a tropical vacation this year,
Might be the answer to this hillbilly fear.

Just think Jamaican in the moonlight.
Sandy beaches, drinking rum every night.

Not that you asked me, of course!!

  133. oh man do i love steve goodman, anything he did with john prine [souvenirs] but he also did the best version of an old folk song called "the dutchman" which, if you haven't heard, you HAVE to soon

great story, when goodman finished writing "city of new orleans" he knew it was going to be his signature song so he took it to arlo, who apparently did not think he could do it justice so he says let's see if denver wants it. he gets john denver on the phone and says "goodman has just written the best song i have ever heard and if you don't record it by the end of the week, i will" denver says "i leave to go on tour tomorrow so i guess it's all yours,"

    don't you love it

  149. For Sons & Daughters of Fathers

    Leader Of The Band

    Dan Fogelberg:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQmkoMZyvOQ

    An only child
    Alone and wild
    A cabinetmaker's son
    His hands were meant
    For different work
    And his heart was known
    To none --

    He left his home
    And went his lone
    And solitary way
    And he gave to me
    A gift I know I never
    Can repay

    A quiet man of music
    Denied a simpler fate
He tried to be a soldier once
    But his music wouldn't wait

    He earned his love
    Through discipline
    A thundering, velvet hand
His gentle means of sculpting souls
    Took me years to understand.

The leader of the band is tired
And his eyes are growing old
    But his blood runs through
    My instrument
And his song is in my soul --

My life has been a poor attempt
    To imitate the man
    I'm just a living legacy
To the leader of the band.

    My brothers' lives were
    Different
    For they heard another call
    One went to Chicago
And the other to St. Paul

    And I'm in Colorado
When I'm not in some hotel
Living out this life I've chose
And come to know so well.

I thank you for the music
And your stories of the road
I thank you for the freedom
When it came my time to go --

I thank you for the kindness
And the times when you got tough
    And, Papa, I don't think I
Said 'I love you' near enough --

The leader of the band is tired
And his eyes are growing old
    But his blood runs through
    My instrument
And his song is in my soul --

My life has been a poor attempt
    To imitate the man
    I'm just a living legacy
To the leader of the band
    I am the living legacy
To the leader of the band.

    Thank you/musiclyricsjake

    Groove Coverage:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ti1dAC6r94

I'm loving living every single day
    But sometimes I feel so....
I hope to find a little peace of mind
And I just want to know

And who can heal those tiny broken hearts
And what are we to be
Where is home on the milky way of stars
    I dry my eyes again

    In my dreams
I am not so far away from home
What am I in a world
    So far away from home

    All my life
    All the time
    So far away from home
    Without you
I will be so far away from home

    If we could make it
    Through the darkest night
    We'd have a brighter day
    The world I see
    Byond your pretty eyes
    Makes me want to stay

    I count on you
    No matter what they say
Cause love can find its time
I hope to be a part of you
    Again
    Baby let us shine

In my dreams I am not
    So far away from home
What am I in a world
    So far away from home

    All my life
    All the time
    So far away from home
    Without you
I will be so far away from home

    Thank you/delziebigpimp

  151. DK,
My last long day of work and then I have a few days to play. Thank you for link to Tom's audition, very talented young man.
    Rose,
Enjoyed the random thoughts. Very wise words from your friend. "A boy and his dog and the girl who came to stay",loved this!
    Have a great day,Roselanders!

  153. I saw that too, sjjw....that would be interesting, wouldn't it?! I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all shakes out....I think it would be great if Rob and/or Tom were involved.

    Have a happy Thursday everyone!

  154. Hi Kay ~ I deleted my comment b/c I didn't watch the audition tape long enough! lol Interesting though for Tom to have auditioned for this role. That would be great! So much chatter about the Jeff Buckley pic - can't wait for an announcement!

    Hi again to all.

My favorite line from Rose's friends post: "If she were on a block of ice on the South Pole, I would still feel close to her....." What an amazing thing to say.

  155. Yes Rose I really do read the comments--hahahaha! It is the most exciting part of sitting in a waiting room. I love the friendships here although I mostly am confused since I am out of the loop.

Hi Roseland--hope everyone is having a terrific Thursday. Nice chatting with a few of you yesterday.

  156. Hi Syd - Waiting room? I hope you're not sick!

  157. Just checking in to see if our Rose posted today (yet). It's always entertaining to see what went on here while most of us were sleeping or otherwise occupied. DK sure knows how to keep the party rolling! haha

Syd checking in from a waiting room? I hope you're not ill and having to see a dr.

I spent some time in a waiting room this morning as well. My son had to have a root canal. Poor fella.

Rhonda, I saw that you had some storms last night. We had them here, too. Probably the same front since we're neighbors and all now! I just like the sound of that for some reason. ;)

Hope you all are enjoying the day. Life is good!

  158. Syd: don't fret, I'm "in-the-loop" and am still often confused! Hope you have left the waiting room and are on to funner activities...

Good morning to angelica, sjjw, and Kay (I hope the rest of you pre-dawn posters are enjoying a good sleep right about now!)...

Tom's audition tape...no words...every take he did seemed fresh and unique from the one before it! I'm intrigued by the story of this fellow (Buckley), as I had not heard of him previous to the biopic casting rumors. Perhaps Syd could shed more light on the backstory of this talented musician the next time he's stuck in a waiting room?

Well, off to enjoy this beautiful day of sunshine and Stanley Cup wins (go Boston!)... Happy Thursday to Rose, Smitty, Gruff, Syd, and the lovelies of Roseland!

  159. Hi dottie- we evidently cross-posted! Are you completely unpacked yet?

    Enjoy your day!

  160. Penn Badgley? That just seems randy to me that he'd be the name. I have nothing against him, I just...don't see it.

Intrigued by the idea of it being Tom. I've already enjoyed his work, but I sort of get the impression we haven't seen anything yet. And I haven't even watched the video yet.

That would be interesting though, since Rob has always expressed interest in playing the part. When are they wanting to make this film?

I don't know much about Jeff Buckley's life. But I know when his music comes on my Pandora here at work, the door gets shut and the volume gets turned up.

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday. My boss and I claimed "important meetings" and went to the baseball game yesterday afternoon. It was 85* in Denver with not a cloud in the sky. Great way to spend the day. But now I'm back at work, wishing I wasn't.

  161. Hey Kenzz, Pretty much all unpacked. There are still pictures to be hung, but that is only because I am so indecisive.

Hope you're having a great day!

  162. Hi Sydney, sounds like you have a cool boss!

  164. Kenzz...I was so happy for the Bruins last night. I cannot stand the Canucks. We have a long standing rivarly with them (I am a big Colorado Avalanche fan). Even though I like the cup to be in the Western Conference...I'm happier an American team won.

Dottie: Hello! Yes, my boss the BEST. Absolutely the best. We have a blast together.

  165. Hi Sydney, dottie, and Kenzz,

I am totally confused right now. I don't know about audition tapes and such but are you all saying that Rob and Tom and James Franco and Penn somebody are all up for the same part?

Or are Rob and Tom up for parts where they are father and son because that's all kinds of weird. Or is this all just gossip mag drivel?

    ReplyDelete
  166. PL - Rob,James Franco and Penn Badgley are apparently up for the part of Jeff Buckley in the biopic of his life. One of the gossip rags said Penn had the part and a few others picked it up but I don't think anything is confirmed yet. A few people said that they thought the part would also suit Tom.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Sydney: What a great boss/friend! But it's always hard making up for a missed day once you return to the office... Happy days here for the Bruins, the streets were filled in Boston with folks chanting "USA, USA"- I felt like we had won the Stanley Cup and the Olympics all in one night! lol
I'm with you on Tom's potential as a big star, you can just kind of feel it coming, can't you?

PL: DK posted a link last night showing Tom auditioning for the Jeff Buckley part...you have to view it!! He completely draws you in with his subtle command of facial expressions and eye contact...

dottie: I know what you mean about pics- I have some hanging on the walls that I despise, and am not sure exactly why I've hung them, except that ...they're pictures and need to be hung! :) There's one on a wall that was probably purchased 20 years ago (back when my 'taste' was all in my mouth!), and yet there it remains because I don't know what I'd replace it with!

    Hi angelica...

    ReplyDelete
  168. Angelica,

Thank you and thank you! ;)

I know I could look all this up but I'm not motivated enough. Interesting, seems like people want Tom to do things just because.

  169. Helllllloooo! Roseland! I hope you are all well. I have had a shitty week, first my central air broke coming home from work too a 90 deg house is not fun. THEN the next day I lost my cell phone and still do not have it. Needless too say, I am brooooooke with all this. Say a few prayers for me. lmao
