Rob and Kristen- Action... Reaction.

For every action
There is an equal and opposite reaction.

Part of what makes this fandom SO interesting
is watching how people react.
I know I've said it before...
But it's fascinating to see the wide range
of emotions that are expended
over...
What exactly?
You tell me...
I honestly think people are either so fucking bored
that they need to make drama where there isn't any...
I get that the bullshit can be entertaining at times.
But pick your battles, people.
Come on.

ACTION

 Billy Burke
John Wayne, Liz Taylor and others just shat their graves...
'Twilight' Actors to Be Immortalized at Grauman's Chinese

Oh no!!!
Billy Burke tweeted somewhat of a 'put down' about
Rob/Kristen/Taylor
Getting their hand-prints at Graumans.
I suppose he was trying to be sarcastically humorous...
Or maybe he was looking for attention...
Or maybe he was just giving his opinion.

REACTION

             Well you can imagine...
Part of the fandom got all up in arms about what he said...
like it was a personal dig at Rob and Kristen
    You know...
Show some class, Billy...
Rob and Kristen always talked well of you, Billy...
Etc..

The other side?
Well..
For some reason they took it as some sort of victory.
Not sure why.

GO BILLY!!!
YOU TELL THEM BILLY!!

OK, So they tried to make it about Kristen.
Billy was of course just dissing on her...
Not Rob or Taylor.
I'm sure if it was just Rob being hand printed
The reaction would have been somewhat different.

 Billy Burke

OH calm down peeps! It's called SATIRE.

We all know I'm just a bitter old actor
(who likes to say out loud what other people are thinking).

Satire, huh?
Obviously Billy got the attention he was looking for?
Perhaps not what he expected?
Or did he?
Billy Burke
Rebel.
Saying out loud what other people are only able to think about...

 Billy Burke

Ur welcome. Happy to get the remedial up in arms on a Monday.
BTW kids, Rob, Kris & Taylor GET THE JOKE.
Trust me. All in good fun. X

The remedial.
Nice.

I guess he prefers people not say out loud what they are thinking...
Especially if they don't agree with him.

Personally?
I'm sure Rob and Kristen would get the sarcasm.
I have to say that the original tweet didn't bother me at all...
And I can only imagine his @'s being inundated with people
yelling at him for having an opinion.

I think ol' Billy there...
Got exactly what he wanted.

ACTION

Nikki Reed announced (via twitter, mind you)
That Sunday was "the most magical day of my life"
I'm guessing this was while they were on their honeymoon?
Not sure.

Her newly betrothed husband also tweeted...

"Yesterday was the most amazing day of my life...
Everything was perfect.
I'm officially a married man!
WooHoo!"

I can almost picture it...

"Honey? I know we are on our romantic honeymoon...
But let's just get on the computer
and let all of our fans know how gloriously happy we are!"

REACTION

I hear crickets...

Personally?
I hope Nikki finds her happiness with Paul
At least when she disappears into oblivion...
She won't be alone.
That's nice... right?

ACTION

There have been numerous tweets placing Robert
in London.
From airplanes... to set visits...

Is it true?
Can it be so??

The English boyfriend is back in England.

REACTION

Depending on which side of the fence you are on...
Depending on your sanity/logic capacity...
Reactions varied.

Rob can't be in London!!

If you prefer the 'partying living the single life' Rob...
You are in panic mode.
You are in deep stages of denial.
(would that be undenial denial?)

WE HAD AN EXIT STRATEGY!
HOW DARE ROB GO VISIT THAT GIRL
10 DAYS BEFORE HE HAD TO BE THERE!
IT'S ALL FOR WORK!
WORK I TELL YOU!
WORK!

The SS Ninnie has hit reality!

If you prefer logic...
and reasoning...

Where else would Rob be?

K-I-S-S-I-N-G

Where is Kristen?
London.
Where is Robert?
London.

It was inevitable...

Of course he's with Kristen.
I'm sure he went there as soon as he could...
Hence the fact that he's there already
over a week before Promo officially starts.
Yes.
Of course.

So one side
isn't reacting very well, I'm afraid...

I don't care. I don't care. I don't care.

The other side.
The right side.
The good side.
The sane side.
Is taking it all in stride.
Because we always knew the truth.
We always expected
Rob and Kristen
to end up together.

It's GOOD to be happy!

Sure...
You can say
"Pics or it didn't happen"
or
"He's only there for work"
or
whatever excuse you want to use...
Thing is?
Ever since Kristen said
"It's obvious"
It's has become even more so.

I'm eagerly anticipating Rob's upcoming interviews.
I think they will be very interesting...

Truth is Truth.

This post is brought to you by the letter T

T for Truth.
Robert and Kristen are
Together.
Again.

Why question fate?

T for Tom Sturridge

I adore him.
Junkhearts is coming out soon...
It's at a British Film Festival
this weekend...

I only can only hope to actually see this movie someday.
Bad, evil Tom...
I'm hearing good things.
Wonderful things.

Bye for now
Happy is better!

  1. OMG that Simpson's emoticon, best yet LOL.

Regarding Billy's comments. He may think that they don't deserve it, but he should of kept his thoughts to himself. They are fellow cast members who he has worked alongside for three years, they get enough shit thrown at them because of Twilight without one of their own making snide comments, and that is what it was.

I didn't find anything about his comment satirical in the slightest. His further comments smacked of someone who knew he'd dropped a bollock and was trying his hardest to back track.

They have been a part of a pop culture phenomenon which practically reinvigorated the supernatural genre in both film and television, so I see nothing wrong with them being honoured. Jennifer Aniston, Will Smith, Adam Sandler, the Harry Potter peeps, and the fucking robots from Star Wars have been honoured ffs. Rob, Kristen, and Taylor are just as worthy as any of the names I mentioned, and I don't recall any shit getting thrown around at those recipients, especially from any of their co-stars.

He then has the front to call the fans who have lined his pockets remedial, he needs to remember which side his bread is buttered.

    Just my opinion.

  2. Yay...I love snarky, smackdown Rose. And you addressed all the hot topics.

On Billy Burke: I'd bet you anything Rob, Kristen and Taylor find it a smidge ridick that they're being inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But whatever...Hollywood doesn't have the standards they used to. And I don't mean that to sound as bad as it does...but when you're remaking Footloose, shit has gone down hill. Justin Bieber will, undoubtedly, also become immortalized there as well. And that's just plain offensive.

But I get why people were a little peeved though...we all get that the trio are a humble lot, and this probably makes them a little uncomfortable. But pop culture is what it is, and Twilight is HUGE. Same thing with Harry Potter. The Twilight fandom can move mountains, and nothing is as much of a pull as Twilight right now. Think of the tourist benefit. The fact of the matter is, they'd all be there eventually, and to act like it's the worst thing to happen to Hollywood was a little harsh of Billy, SATIRE or not.

And it's so heartwarming to me how the nonstens immediately embrace anyone who insults Rob...so long as Kristen is lumped in. Such great fans they are.

In regards to Nikki and Paul. While they're screaming their love on any and every social medium that will have them...Rob and Kristen are silent on the matter of their love. And the silence speaks volumes.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

  3. Hello everyone! Hope u are all doing well!

Good post! I personally don't think that Billy Burke was being intentionally malicious or making back-handed comments about Rob, Kristen and Taylor. But then again, I don't really follow any of the twi-cast and their tweets so...

As far as Nikki...I'm sure she is all pumped about being able to air her personally life during promo.
Vomit. She is the definition of famewhore.
Its kind of sickening. You see Rob & Kristen fighting to protect what they have and keep it private because its important to them and then u have NR giving out details to the media & taking to twitter immediately after.
So very transparent. And so very lame and pathetic.
    Oh well! She is unimportant.

Just saw a tweet that Kristen was injured on set today, hope she is alright & gets better soon! I'm sure she has a sweet man taking good care of her right about now!

    Everyone have a great day!

  4. I also read that Kristen hurt herself on set today :/

    I hope she's okay.

  5. As much as I love Billy, and I do, it was kind of a shitty thing to say. Kissing or not. Or maybe I just don't know him to get his humor and others take him with a grain of salt.

But for these three "kids", this is a huge deal to them and such an honor. Like it or not, they are a part of pop culture and we will see a lot more of all three in the future.

As far as Nonsten's foaming about where Rob is, well come on. What else would they do with their life? Take away the hate and all they are left with is the pain of knowing they are wrong.

Hope everyone in Roseland is having a great day.:) I never post, but always lurk and love you Rose!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Edit, kidding or not. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  7. Groovie: I also think Nikki did it before promo because there is absolutely squat happening for her professionally and she needed ~something to talk about.

  8. Great post, Rose!

Billy Burke's comment wasn't very satirical IMO. I'm sure that his aim wasn't to affend Rob, Kristen and Taylor but they already get lots of shit thrown at them as it is and Billy only fueled the flames further.

As for Nikki. I just don't know about her. I want to believe that she has found love and is happy, but something tells me that she won't stop with her snide and bitter remarks.
Tweet one day after your wedding? - THAT must be true love.. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hi All,

I hope you are all well. I’m just stopping in quickly to say hello and to thank Rose for her post. I’m also very eager to see the upcoming promotion. It should be fun and will be great to see both Robert and Kristen.

I also wanted to share this quick joke that a friend passed along. No disrespect to our male Roseland members…. LOL.

“When a woman says “What?”, it’s not because she didn’t hear you. She’s giving you a chance to change what you said.”

    Have a good day all.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I don't even know what to make of Billy's tweets. His reassurance that Rob, Kristen and Taylor would understand him made it seem it's a private joke. So not really bothered by it.

I believe Rob is in London. Days before he has to work. Isn't one of the first premieres in Paris? Would make it a short plane ride compared to travelling from LA. :D

Nice for Nikki but she won't disappear lol.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I wasn't going to give Billy's comment any more attention but decided to jump into the discussion anyway. It is possible that he meant it to be sarcastic meaning that the celebrated actors already immortalized at Grauman's would be excited to be joined by the Twilight cast. Personally, I think he was being snide and trying to get attention.

Grauman's foot and handprints are supposed to recognize actors that have become cultural phenomena. Twilight definitely fits that definition. Remember Oprah and PHE-nomenon?

There was an article in the New York Times last year stating that young adult fiction has become very popular with adults because of it's simpler writing style and less descriptive prose. Like it or not, Twilight books started this. Movie studios are trying to desperately find the next Twilight. So Rob, Kristen and Taylor deserve to be honored this way because they have been part of this. Quite frankly, I don't think 2 different actors as Bella and Edward would have accomplished this. As all the directors have said, you can't fabricate the kind of connection they have with each other so I hope they can accept this as the honor it is for them.

    Sorry for the long comment.

  12. Great post, Rose...LOVE the exploding smilie gif...there seems to be a lot of that going on out there. :D
    Truth is truth.

Whatever happened today, I hope that Kristen recovers quickly. I'm sure she will be back giving it everything she has as soon as she can...she seems strong and determined like that.

    Awesome quote, Freddie!

Hi everyone and take care out there...stay happy Roseland! <3

  13. @Claire i agree with you that Billy Burke's tweet was insensentive mostly because robsten and Twilight fans care a lot about the saga. I for one am happy that they are getting recognized. Yes Twilight is not eveybody's cup of tea but they have made many women and girls happy. Whenever I read or watch the Twilight saga I giggle and am filled with excitement. i am so glad that Kristen and Rob and Taylor signed on to Twilight and they have my respect and admiration.

  14. Bb,that exploding smiley is pure genius and you can quote me on that.:D NR will do absolutely ANYTHING for some attention&seems she found herself a fellow famewhore in her SO.Tbh,I`m still shocked that her sextape hasnt surfaced online yet.I guess it might be just a matter of time... *fp* Finally,Rob will ALWAYS end up with Kris, unless his/her work has other demands at that moment.JS

  15. @bcaceres

Not only were his comments snarky, does he not realise that this is also part of the promotion of Breaking Dawn? Breaking Dawn which he is a part of. He should be hoping that this movie is promoted as successfully as it can be, because he will no doubt be reaping the rewards of it's success.

Did he have a bump on the head before tweeting what he did? *shakes head*

  16. Hi Everyone, hope you're all having a good day :)

Much as I'd like to be generous, I can't believe Billy Burke,of all people, didn't anticipate the reaction from Rob,Kristen and Taylor's fans.Whatever his motivation,he'd have done better to just STFU.

As for "Mrs McDonald", I don't really want to dignify her by providing the attention she craves but it's interesting that they both feel the need to constantly decalre their love for each other. One can only assume that, unlike Rob and Kristen, they realise it's NOT obvious.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I hope Kristen's injury is minor & won't hinder her from doing the things she needs to do. Heal quickly, Kristen!

Great post, Rose. I really love the way you lay out all the facts.

PL, I totally agree w/you that Twilight wouldn't be the PHE-nomenon it is today were it not for the casting of Rob and Kristen.

I've always liked Billy B. so I want to give him the benefit of the doubt. He seems to have that "too cool for school" image & probably does feel that the whole Twilight thing is silly, BUT there is that old saying, "Don't bite the hand that feeds you."

Maybe it's just me, but I think if I'd been married less than 24hrs and on my honeymoon, the LAST thing I'd be thinking about is tweeting!

I hope all of you are happy and healthy. Have a good one!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Rose...awesome post today!

I am thrilled that Rob, Kristen and Taylor will be honored at Grauman's. What an honor and they DESERVE it!!!
Twilight is huge and that is because of Rob, Kristen and Taylor...NOT the rest of the cast.

    Penny...I agree with your comment.

I hope Kristen was not hurt on set today. Sending Kristen lots of love and support.

    Hi to everyone in Roseland!

    ReplyDelete
  19. @Claire:
You are right. They get honored mostly for a movie in which he also has part of and therefore he should be thankful for all the positive attention the movie can get.
I just don't think it's right that he makes such comments about his castmates and it will do him no good in the end..

    @Angelica:
No, they don't seem to be thinking that it is obvious and also they seem to care about what others think of their relationship.. Rob and Kristen on the other hand couldn't care less about what others think and are just happy to be together.

  21. Hi Rose,

Excellent post and LOVE the emoticon...so funny.

Whatever Billy meant with those comments, I was disapointed. I am very proud of what Rob, Kristen and Taylor have done for the twilight series, so I am very happy Graumans are going to honored them.

    Penny, agree.

    Can't wait for EuropromoRob!!

I also heard Kristen has injured her foot. I hope it's not too painful and that she will get better soon. I am sure Rob will take care of his girl.

  26. ROSE...OMG...Your post was so cool! It was just the perfect blend of common sense, sarcasm, and emoticons...they are so cute:)

Sigh...BILLY BURKE...I guess we could come up with lots of ideas about why he would say something like that but I dont think we will ever know...Im kind of "disappointed" but... if its an "inside joke" that the Twi Trio GETS...then so be it.

KRISTEN...I hope that your injury is minor and heals quickly pretty girl.

    ROB in LONDON...Imagine THAT!

All ROSELANDERS that posted before me today...Great posts...and I have nodded and agreed with every single one!

    Hello, everyone..

I'm very pleased for Kristen/Rob/Taylor, about being chosen for honoring at Grauman's.

Wishing Kristen comfort and healing of her left foot (?).

Walking the line on Burke's tweets. The internet isn't a good place to communicate "sarcasm" or sublety, imo. I've learned that the hard way, lol.

    Have a lovely evening!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Rose, great post...I always enjoy your blogs so much.

I like Billy Burke, and I have read he really likes Kristen, Rob and Taylor, so I am sure he meant to be funny.

As far as Nikki goes, I guess I hope she will be happy, which is hard for me to say, because I really do not like her.

I hope Kristen is not hurt badly, and hope she recovers soon. I am sure Rob will be of big help to her.

I am still disappointed Kris is not involved more in the promotions, but I guess it can't be helped.

Take care Roselanders, stay calm, be happy for Rob and Kris, they always end up together.

  29. The emoticons were very cute. I liked the kiss one the best! Sometimes I can't even deal with people's stupidity. I always thought great things of Billy Burke, but don't understand why he tweeted such a thing out of the blue. Great post today Rose! I too was wondering why is she tweeting the second day of her honeymoon?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Just popping in , and deliriously (& deliciously) happy to see so many of my "friends" on here today! :)

I sincerely believe that Billy Burke's tweet was completely meant tongue-in-cheek, as a HUMBLE-type of comment. Let's be honest, as fabulous an effort as the majority of the cast puts forth in making these entertaining films, nobody is nominating them for an Oscar for these roles. (Later, I have NO doubt that R&K will each garner nominations & an eventual win, and that Taylor will go on to be a megastar in his own right!!)

So I truly believe that Billy Burke was not "dissing" Rob, Taylor, and Kristen, but simply making a joke that they were not at the level of Oscar-winning John Wayne or Liz Taylor FROM their portrayals in Twilight. Let me reiterate, I think they did a tremendous job in the movies, and I adored the books, but the nature of the subject does not lend itself to "Academy Award" level, like Gregory Peck in "To Kill A Mockingbird," Anne Bancroft in the "Miracle Worker," Elizabeth Taylor in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe?," and John Wayne in "True Grit." Or even Joe Pesci (supporting actor) in "Goodfellas."

I hope I've made clear my opinion on Taylor, Rob, and Kris as actors (sooooo destined for superstardom, awards, and critical acclaim!!!). And for the record, let me add my wholehearted support for Tom Sturridge, who will undoubtedly achieve everything he dreams of... <3

As usual, I've posted WAAAYY too long a comment... to paraphrase ms. Meyer, "Since I'm going to Hell anyway...," I'll continue posting my thoughts...

Robert: Always thinking of your improvement as it relates to health issues...

Super & DK: my fav FB friends :)

IB, Rhonda, Freddie, Annie, 30, and anyone else in the Northeastern Roseland contingent... If I haven't named you, please post here so that I can add you to the "LIST!"

Claire and angelica: When does the tour begin? A toast to my hysterical "My blog friends are English" buddies... love u guys!

Sydney: I'm with you on the Bieber!

PL: Thanks for your comment... I always learn something from your postings :)

Groovie: Count me in re: your comment on NR...enough said!

Kristen: Heal well & quickly... Good thoughts are being sent your way from all of Roseland... Do you feel it?

  31. Nice post, Rose. I agree with your thoughts on the new bride. I just hope she disappears into that oblivion sooner, rather than later ;)

Not sure what Billy Burke was going for with his comments, but I think Rob, Kristen & Taylor are very deserving of the honor. I hope they see it as such.

  36. Well, what to think? Billy, Billy I'm kinda thinking you wished you hadn't said it right about now... I think Billy may be a bit of a smart ass and things don't always translate the way you mean them. It may or may not matter to R,K,& T, but that is between them. I know what I enjoy and just ignore the snide remarks.

    Freddie,
Loved the joke. Something Billy's woman should have said to him!

I so hope Kristen is recovering quickly. The last thing she needs is an injury with her busy schedule. I'm sure that certain someone is taking very good care of her and yes, he would have to be in London to do it. Believe.
Now we have alot to look forward to,so let the fun begin.

    Thanks Rose.

  42. Alas, I Cannot Swim

    Laura Marling:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjaBtCtuW4g

There's a house across the river
    But alas I cannot swim
And a garden of such beauty
That the flowers seem to grin

There's a house across the river
    But alas i cannot swim
    I'll live my life regretting
    That I never jumped in!

There's a boy across the river
    With short black curly hair
He wants to be my lover
and I want to be his peer

There's a boy across the river
    But alas I cannot swim
    And I never will get
To put my arms around him

There's a life across the river
    That was meant for me
    Instead I live my life
    In constant misery

There's a life across the river
    But I do not see
    Why I should please
Those who will never be pleased

There is gold across the river
    But I don't want none
    Gold is fleeting
    Gold is fickle
    Gold is fun!

There is gold across the river
    But I dont want none
    I would rather be dried
Then held up by a golden gun

    Saying
    Work more
    Earn more
    Live more
    Have more fun!

    Thank you/xuuxu2605

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUVfJWbYDLM

    Heartbeats fast
    Colors and promises
    How to be brave
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall
    But watching you stand alone
All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow
    One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid I have loved you
    For a thousand years
I love you for a thousand more

    Time stands still
    Beauty in all she is
    I will be brave
I will not let anything take away
What's standing in front of me
    Every breath
Every hour has come to this
    One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid I have loved you
    For a thousand years
I love you for a thousand more

And all along I believed I would find you
Time has brought your heart to me
I have loved you for a thousand years
I love you for a thousand more

    One step closer
    One step closer

I have died everyday waiting for you
Darling don't be afraid I have loved you

  44. Well, my fun is still going on, and I'm getting hungry while I'm having it.

Really, I'm watching "Outrageous Food" on television, and thinking that Annie along with the rest of us, should go to Lansky's in NYC, when the Roselanders meet up in the future.

    @Annie
Potato Knish? Ever had one on a sandwich?

Peace out to Rose, Smitty, Gruff, Syd and all of you!

    Bye.

  45. Robert,
That is good news. I hope everything goes smoothly.

For anyone interested, I bought the new Marcus Foster CD and absolutely love it. Incredible voice and loved each song. One of those CD's where I love everything on it. Very talented man!

    DK,
Loved your songs tonight. I think that has always been your mantra. That's why we love you here.

    Just saying...

Guess what? You guessed right. Above all, I love posting songs.

I only post my words, when I can't stop them from blathering out.

Now, songs, they demand to be heard, but are polite, and wait until I am in a mood for them.

Words, aren't that clever, for they belong to me, and songs to the angels.

An old Girl Scout song's lyrics:

    All things shall perish
    From under the skies
    Music alone
    Shall live
    Music alone, shall live
    Music
    Alone
    Shall
    Live
    Never to die

    Back at ya, Smoothie.

I am so excited. I just learned that my son is going to propose to his lady of 11 years, at his Halloween party on the 29th.

I've been invited, but on Facebook, it said costumes are required, and women have to dress slutty. Surely, not me, the ole Ma?

If so, what costumes can I even consider? Matahari, Indira Gandhi, Joan Collins, for who is slutty at my time of life, that would give that info. out, I mean?

Well, even so, I wouldn't miss the proposal for anything, slutty or non, and will figure out an appropriate senior citizen costume.

    Help me, Roselanders.

But on the actual Halloween Day, the night before you are put in Twilight sleep (thankfully), I will give you my best toast, wherever I am, and believe that we share it.

Okay, enough for this early Wednesday morning, cool and dark as it is, here...

Planning to buy that Marcus Foster CD, also, for his voice is divinely plaintive and songs downright nitty gritty, life expanding, mind explosions.

Or to me, they are, for I was broken, for a long time, but it's over, now.

    ReplyDelete
  50. @Birdie
    I thought you was vamoosed.

Good idea, Mae West! I surely have the hat, (and parts of that bod), and could wear a slinky, long, silky thingy, with lots of my jewelry, and feathers. Gad, I like it.

    ReplyDelete
  51. @Birdie
Am laughing now, too. The kids at the party won't know who Mae is/was!

When they last invited me to a party, and told me to bring a white elephant gift to exchange, I brought a wild sculpture, so hideous it was fabulous.

They opened it and were perplexed, for everyone else brought some kind of sexy item. For a fact, one even brought a blow up doll (very cheaply made and ugly).

How the times change in 30/40 years, lol.

Damme, I need a costume of someone still alive and old, that they would recognize.

Betty White? Queen Eliza? Mrs. Santa Claus? Dolly Parton?

    Who else, Roselanders?

  52. I thought you were gone. I was reading her quotes, she was a woman before her time. I think you've got what it takes!
I think you will love the CD. Really, really good!

  55. Baby, You've Got What It Takes

    Dinah Washington & Brook Benton:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37cH9khXYdM

    Well, now, it takes
    More than a robin
    To make the winter go
And it takes two lips of fire
    To melt away the snow

    Well, it takes two hearts
A-cookin' to make a fire grow
    And baby you've got
    What it takes

You know it takes a lot of kissin'
    (Tell me about it)
    To make a romance sweet
Ooh, it takes a lot of lovin'
    To make my life complete

Mmm, and it takes a lot of woman
To knock me off my feet
And baby, you've got what it takes

I said, mm, mm, mm. uh-huh, mm
    Ah, ah, hah mm, mm
    You know you've got
    Just what it takes!

    Because it takes more
Than an effort to stay away
    From you
It'd take more than a lifetime
To prove that I'll be true

    But it takes somebody special
To make me say, "I do."
    "Oh, yeah"
And baby, you've got what it takes

Ah, ah, hah mm, mm, uh-huh, mm, mm
    You know you've got
    Just what it takes

    Because it takes oh yeah
You're back in my spot again, honey
    I like your spot
    To stay away from you
"I can't stay away from you"

It takes more than a lifetime
Daddy, to prove that I'll be true
    "NOW it's you"

    But, it takes somebody special
    "Like me, baby"
To make me say, "I do."
And baby you've got what it takes

"C'mon, let's play it again, huh?"
"C'mon, let's do it one more time, all right?"

And baby you've got what it takes
    "One more time, Brook"
    "Ah-ha, OK, Ah-ha"
    And baby
    You've got what it takes

    Thank you/John1948TwoB1b

  56. Good Morning!

It is a dark dreary day here so let's think about fun stuff! Anybody doing "Twilight Tuesdays"? Starting November 1st, they are showing all the movies in order, one per week leading up to BD. November 1st is Twilight....google to see if there is a theater near you participating. I can't wait to see Twilight on the big screen again...a tv screen cuts off so much.

    Hoping Kristen heals well!

Kenzz~How's our NE chapter pres. been? Will you get to the Cape this autumn?

    Have a great day!

  57. G' morning Roselanders on this grey and airless morning in Isle Esme...
Rose, as usual you rocked *sigh* don't they ever give up? Haven't R&K gifted us enough all along? Gee...loved 'the SS Ninnie has hit reality' and the Simpsons' LOL

Well, it's not in my nature to add oil to the fire but long long ago in a distant land...oops, not this line...I read one of our fave mustache’s first statements about RP: "I don't know what girls see in him, the guy is a goofball" (paraphrasing) and I thought that probably I deff lacked in 'catching' the gist of it but then again, my poor comprehension of yr language had troubled me before so I kept it to myself. Hum...seems I wasn't that far...'nuff said.
    On to mo' important themes.

@Robert--Jolly good news Sir! And I ROFLMAO at your "I suggested that he go intercourse himself" oh what a spirit! Can I use it? We're fingers crossed f/you!
@Dreamer--you're prob in bed by now but Birdie's suggestion of Mae West seems to fit to a T to yr witty and charming self! Wasn't she who said "When I'm good, I'm very good. But when I'm bad I'm better." ? Go girl!

Again, a fine day for you all, a restful one for Miss S and her ankle, as my dear Bronze tweeted now I think this is really necessary: http://i54.tinypic.com/dxntd1.jpg LOL

Oh and just a lil mo'laugh - have you read LG's article about AG? AS IF...tsk tsk mean Muse LOL
    Bye!

  58. I'm not sure what Billy Burke set out to accomplish with his comment. Whatever it was he should know this fandom has it's fanatics and makes mountains out of molehills all the time.

Nikki is married. Que the (insert appropriate words here)...
I don't want to give her anymore thought. She just isn't worth the time to me.

It's been stated that Kristen is okay from her on set injury. Nevertheless I hope she isn't in pain and is back up and at em soon!

I see Tom's new movie has started filming. Much luck to him and the rest of the cast. Fantastic people working on this film. Pretty excited to see the finished product.

Robert- Glad that you have a date for the surgery. This back and forth I'm sure has been draining on you. Keep us posted as always!

I hope all are well. Life is crazy at the moment but such is life. Happy hump day! Make it a good one! ;)

Like Muse, I had to laugh so hard at your line "i suggested that he go intercourse himself". LOL

  60. Good Morning Roseland....

DK...Love the play list!!!!!! I normally dont warm up to songs the first time I hear them but the 2 songs for BD1, I loved them immediately upon hearing them!!! I will be at the store looking for that CD on the release date for sure. Also, I think after reading the comments about the Marcus Foster CD that I will go hunting for that today!

ROBERT...High FIVE and I love your sense of humor!!! THAT will take you through this process and along with your family, friends, and your Roseland buddies...sending you all those cyber vibes, you will do just fine....Keep us posted!

KENZZ and RHONDA...the neck is feeling better! Thanks DK for your suggestions!

Hi IB, BIRDIE, MELINDA, LENI...I havent caught up with you lately..

  63. I agree with Billy. Twilight is awesome - I really like it! And the actors are awesome! But definitely the times are "a changin" with the level of movies, etc. Gone With The Wind, Wizard of Oz...Twilight. LOL I love all the movies though, so I will embrace it!

I do have a question though and was hoping to get an opinion.
I am BRAND NEW to this whole Twihard craze thing. I literally fell in love about a month ago. Yeah, I am a bit behind. Anywho, I am almost done reading BD and am going to do the Twilight Tuesday thing. And the midnight showing of BD...pretty excited!

However, I have been contemplating going to the Twilight thingy that is going to be in LA the first part of November. I would love to see them, but it would be a super quick and expensive trip. Is it even worth it? I mean, I am 31 and not a freak out kind of fan...I mean, Rob makes me swoon and Kristen makes me UBERLY jealous with her beauty and everything...but would the other crazed freakish twi fans end up making me super stabby?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Joie, since you asked our opinions...
Go for it. It's a one lifetime chance. It doesn't matter how old you are, if you really can really go OR you'll regret it. Unless you feel like waiting for BD2 premiere...
    Just do it.
Every new day is another chance to change your life.

  65. Hello, Roseland!

Billy's comments don't bug me. I expect this is his satire on society, I think, not the quality of the trio's acting. I would imagine the three might be slightly embarrassed about all of this which is why he claims they get the joke. Lighten up, Francis!! :)

As for the question about tripping out to LA for what I assume is the premiere, not unless screaming crowds work for you. I work blocks away and you couldn't pay me to go. Well, maybe if you paid well.

Excited for the ramp up to the movie!!!!!

As for the MacDonald's, nough said.

  67. Hi all,

I’m just popping in quickly to say hello and see what is up with my Roseland friends.

Claire – 72 years – Wow, you got me teary-eyed. Thanks for posting the article.

Kenzz, IB, Rhonda, Super, Annie, 30 – hello to you and all the other members (honorary or otherwise) of the Northeast chapter. I hope you are all well.

Birdie – I totally agree with your take on the Billy thing. And thanks for the recommendation on the Marcus Foster album. It sounds great.

DK – Congratulations on your son’s great news. You sound very happy. I agree with Birdie. I think you would make a dynamite Mae West. Whatever costume you choose, you’ll have to tell us all about it….or show pictures.

Super – glad to hear you are feeling better, but how could you not with all the great medical advice you can get here in Roseland.

Melinda – hang in there with the busy schedule. I hope it becomes a bit more manageable for you.

Robert – I’m glad that a date has been set for your surgery. I’ll cross my fingers and hope it doesn’t get changed again (yes, I know, bite my tongue).

Here’s sending out healing thoughts for Kristen. I hope her foot is feeling better. I can’t help but hope that a special someone is there for her.

Hello to everyone else. I hope all is right in your worlds. Take care.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Claire, I have tears! Thanks for sharing that sweet story.

DK, Let me add my congrats to your son. His wife is a lucky woman to be gaining such a special mother in law. And I vote YES to Mae West! It is so you!

Robert, Sounds like things are working out like they should. Timing is everything, right? I'm glad you have good friends that keep you laughing.

I just saw a BD preview. Be still my swooning heart! The wedding is going to be so gorgeous! Can't wait!

Hello to everyone. If I start naming names I will surely leave someone out. You all know who you are! ;) Hugs!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Rose, love the banner!
Still hoping for a new photoshoot of them together...

I see nothing wrong with R&K being honoured at Grauman's. I'm very happy for them :)
As far as I know, they recognize actors that had a huge impact on pop culture, which fits them perfectly (whether they like it or not, lol). Very few actors have experienced such level of popularity and fame.
Anyway, it IS a great honour, so I hope they enjoy the moment :)

Looking forward to see the upcoming Rob interviews, but the promo without Kristen will not be the same... She's not replaceable.

Finally, I have to thank NR for sharing all the details of her wedding and her "love" life with us, it remind me why I like Kristen Stewart so much! (what's next? A reality show on E!...?)

@Claire, that's a wonderful story, thanks for sharing the article :)

  70. Good morning. Just a quick note.

    @Freddie & dottie:
I bought a platinum wig and black boa, so I can be Mae or Sylvia Fine of the old Nanny show, both senior sexpots that were slutty looking, if not acting. One or the other, may be a perfect fit, so we'll see.

I adore my future DIL, and she seems to love me, so it's all good, and I am very delighted with the engagement/marriage plans.

Rest up everyone, for the weekend is getting closer.

    Night.

  71. Good morning Roseland!

@Claire: Thank you so much for that link......It made me cry but it also reminded me of what Rob said (he grew up believing that you could be with the same person your whole life)
The Yaeger's story was also on ABC News this morning.
    ----------------

@DK: I love potato knish but I've never had it on a sandwich. Must try it that way sometime.

Congratulations on your son's engagement plans and I can so see you as Mae West......Go for it! :)

    Freddie (loved the quote :)

I'm sure to leave out someone if I start listing names, so I'll just say.......Hello everyone and have a great day everybody!

PS: About Billy Burke's comment...In England they have a saying (Angelica, Claire, please correct me if I'm wrong)..."Taking the piss'..... I think that's what Billy was doing.

Movies like the Hunger Games dream of having what the Twilight series has accomplished.
Grauman's was a given, seeing that the Harry Potter stars were honored there as well. The only thing that surprised me.... it was done this year and not next year, for the end of the series.

    ReplyDelete
  72. @annie i think the Hunger Games will surpass all Twilight films at the box office.

    ReplyDelete

    @bcaceres:

I think the producers are hoping they can. :)

    Hope can work miracles.:)

    ReplyDelete
  74. @annie but what do you think? i am not going to see The Hunger Games. the story is not my style to be honest.

    ReplyDelete
  75. @bcaceres:
Honestly, I truly don't know. I don't think anyone does.
In many ways Twilight is unique. The books, the enormous following when the books were published, the casting was perfection when the books were made into movies (aside from one particular casting choice.)

This is only my opinion but I didn't see that type of intensity with the Hunger Games......Maybe I'm wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  76. @annie yeah who knows. we will see what happens. i am so glad that Twilight did well at the box office and that all four books were made into movies because i would have hated for Twilight not to have continued.

    ReplyDelete
  77. @bcaceres:
I have to go but to be continued I hope.
    Take care now. Bye. :)

    ReplyDelete
  78. @Claire:
Thanks for that link - made me cry.

Have a great day everyone :)

  79. The Hunger Games will also have a lot of males who go to see the movies because of the action.

Will it surpass Twilight's box office? Probably not IMO, certainly not Eclipse and New Moon numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  80. @Claire that is why i think it will surpass New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn part 1 and 2 because it will appeal to male audiences.

    ReplyDelete
  81. New Moon and Eclipse made 700m each worldwide. I don't think the Hunger Games will get anywhere near that figure.

If the first movie is a success then the subsequent films might, but not the first one IMO.

  82. Hi All...

Claire...I agree with you! Plus, their LEADS do not hold a candle to Rob and Kristen, IMO. LOL

Sylvia from The Nanny is hysterical! You will look fab regardless. Oh, and congrats on your future daughter-in-law!
