Rob and Kristen- Isn't It Obvious?

We are going for a helluva ride!

Yes folks...
Grab your popcorn
Make sure you have plenty of beverages.
Shit is getting good.

Can you hear it in my voice
Was it something I let slip
Does the whole world know
Isn’t it obvious?

I'm not sure why people get all worked up over nothing.
Rob is in L.A.
Panic.
Rob goes to London.
Panic.
Calm the hell down.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain...

Yeah.
Robert hasn't been seen in a while.
Quite a while.
I mean...
If you are going to go with the
"Pics or it didn't happen"
Then the last time Rob was 'seen' in LA?
September 30th.

So what then?
Has Robert just been a ghost?
Not existing for the past 2 weeks?

My Ghost is English...

Because some people were SO eager to believe
that Rob was out every night getting drunk and hitting on random women.
I never saw ONE picture of him in a bar.
With any other woman.
Nope. Not one.
We saw Rob in a car.

I’m the one who’s in control
Now i’m acting like a fool
Do my feelings show?
Is my face aglow?
Isn’t it obvious?

Yet, people were assuming that Rob
was out partying and living the 'single' life.
Right.

Guess where Rob is now?

That I don’t know what I’m doing anymore
i’m feeling like a little girl
Caught up in emotions
I’m out of control
Isn’t it obvious?

So. OK.
NOW Robert is being seen all over London.
Including on set with Kristen.
True?

Obvious is Obvious.

If you didn't have an agenda...
If you just followed logic and common sense.
You wouldn't be at ALL surprised that Robert
was back in the UK.
I'm thinking that was his plan all along.
Get done what needed to get done...
And get back to where you once belonged.
(Thanks Paul)
He wouldn't have left if he didn't have to...
And he got back as soon as he could.

Now...now...
Don't be mad.
It really can't be surprising that
Rob turns up with Kristen...
Not after it keeps happening over and over again.

So much for Exit Strategy!

Do you see my hands, they tremble
Wonder why I can’t look you in the eyes
Don’t know how long
I can keep this inside
Isn’t it obvious?

I don't need to see a picture of Rob and Kristen.
Like I said before...
I like that he's staying out of the public's needy eyes.
And you know that Paparazzi in England
has been a bit hampered lately because of all the scandals
that have been going on...
So maybe it is just easier to get around
to get in
to get out
to get all about
without being noticed.
You know?

Suddenly these emotions are in control of my heart
Can you see it in my eyes
Every glance, every smile
Must give me away
And I feel so much I can’t hide

We don't NEED to see Robert and Kristen together.
We don't NEED to know that wherever Kristen is...
Robert will soon follow.
We don't NEED affirmation that
Robert and Kristen
Always.
End.
Up.
Together.

Because they do.
Always.

Besides...
Where else is Robert going to go?
And do you really think this is the first time he's done this?
Really?

Point and  Laugh.

This post is brought to you by... Twirling.
Because even if Rob showed up in Albuquerque tomorrow...
It won't change a thing about his relationship with Kristen.
And we all know it's true.

What number is it again?
And by Thomas Sturridge.
Whom I adore.
Completely.

Bye for now.

    Brilliant post Rose!

  5. Oh jobless Rob is in london lol. Feel bad for Kristen though. She doesn't need a failure like Pattinson in her life. Those silly nonsten needs to know It's YOUR Jesus Rob the one uses Kristen for his pr. Kristen, his girlfriend is the ONLY good thing about him.
Also, don't want him on Swath set everr! His OTR visit caused so much trouble for Kristen. Lainey(Sarah reported it several times.
Rob needs to know not every director like Cronenberg who need paparazzi 7/24

    ReplyDelete
  6. Seriously, why does this continue to surprise some people? They ALWAYS end up together...obviously. :D

Happy weekend, Rose and Roseland! <3

    FUCK YOU!
You know what..I actually mean that quite literally - give yourself a good time.. maybe then you will stop being so bitter..

    ReplyDelete
  9. Although I will say one thing Kiki. What if I was an atheist, muslim, or a buddhist? Would he still be my 'Jesus'?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Claire - this is an oldie but goodie.

Honey! Long time no see. Still lying about what other blogs are reporting I see. Lainey said no such thing and you and I both know it. So where can I find you on twitter these days? Garrettstew, Taystenlove...what else? Who are you forcing Kristen with these days.

Are you gonna delete your comment for old times sake?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Gosh, it seems like it's been months since we last heard from this multiple-personality troll....story hasn't changed though...

Seems like Honey....just not quite, you know what I mean Sydney?

    ReplyDelete
  12. *eyerolling* You guys just don't want to see the what is right in front of your damn eyes.

    I pitty you.

Whatever.. I hope MR. failure and this london thing don't overshadow her amazing works.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Sydney - Do you think it's Honey? It doesn't quite fit her M.O IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  14. @Kiki

Not more than I 'pitty' you for what was obviously an awful education.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yes and no. Honey had a way of constantly posting yet never addressing anyone or answering questions. And she goes by kiko and kiko on other boards. We shall see if/when she deletes her posts.

Either way...I enjoy mistakenly identifying these trolls. Fastest way to get them to lose their shit and up the entertainment value.

Curious though...kiki called Kristen, Rob's girlfriend. So if she's in agreement what exactly aren't we seeing that's right on front of our faces?

Is it too much to ask to have a remotely competent troll even once?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hi Rose,

    Excellent post!!

    'We don't NEED affirmation that

    Always.
    End.
    Up.
    Together.

    Because they do.
    Always.'

Kiki aka Missy Missy...why don't go back under the pile of shit that you came from, obviously other than your imaginary other self you WONT find any friends here...now scram and Shut The Fuck Up.

    ReplyDelete
  17. @Sydney:
LOL I don't think that remotely competent trolls even exist

    ReplyDelete
  18. I am of the belief that having a competent troll would suggest being intelligent and using logic, which are qualities that I don't think they possess. In fact, I think that would be an oxymoron.

To Kiki, if you don't like Rob so much, why would you waste your time going to a blog that is entitled "Robert Pattinson Intoxication?" Also, you know that he is unemployed? That the entire time he was in LA he wasn't working on something? You personally know this? Uh huh. Right. I am always amazed by the sheer number of "insiders" the nonnies have. Here is a little insider information for you: I think you are full of shit, and a bitter bitch.

To Kiki, if you don't like Rob so much, why would you waste your time going to a blog that is entitled "Robert Pattinson Intoxication?" Do you have nothing better to do with your time? Also, you know that he is unemployed? That the entire time he was in LA he wasn't working on something? You personally know this? Uh huh. Right. 20. Oh, and "my ghost is English" might be one of my favorite captions. Ever.

    I absolutely love your blog.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Rose, you are SOOOO right!!!

    Let's twirl together.

    ReplyDelete
  22. And sorry, I think I posted twice by accident. Didn't mean to spam.

    ReplyDelete
  23. @Sydney & Claire:
    A pitty indeed LOL

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sydney and Leni - I would take her more seriously if she could at least spell correctly, and also if her grammar wasn't so appalling.

    S - Well said

    ReplyDelete
  25. Claire: that's exactly what I mean. We're dealing with 2nd grade writing levels and contradicting herself in only her second post. Monkeys can do better than that.

S: you're right. A competent troll would defy all logic.

    ReplyDelete
  26. LOL! "My ghost is in English" hahahha

Great post, nice lyrics, cute pix...good stuff all around!
Hope Rob is enjoying a bit of down time before promo kicks into high gear. Poor Kristen has to jump from filming right into promo.

Hope u are all well! I'm on vacation, hanging out with my sister in SoCal. Good times!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yes Indeed! I'll take it one further and bet anyone that this time...Bear is in England too!!! Great post Rose but then again I think they are all great!!! Have a great weekend everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  28. @Claire:
You're right, but even with perfect spelling and grammar she would still talk nonsense and bullshit..

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Sydney
LOL she could learn a lot from monkeys, for sure

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well hello everyone - except the troll.

Rose, brilliant post! Love the English ghost! LOL

I hope all of you happy people have a great weekend. Life is good and only getting better!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Rose, such a funny, happy post! English ghosts... are there any other? :)

Groovie, glad to hear the first part of your road trip was successful, as you're now in SoCal (yes, that's jealous spittle dripping from my laptop screen!) Hope your weather is super...

Hugs and happy weekend to Hope, Claire, Leni, S, RKSoulmates, Kay, Sydney, Katy, Liz, Anna, and dottie!! Hope I didn't miss anyone important :)

  32. Do you think Rob will sign on for state benefits?

With him being unemployable and all.

    ReplyDelete
  33. LOL

I'm imagining some bloke in the dole queue turning around and seeing Rob standing there ready to sign on for benefits. PMSL

    ReplyDelete
  34. PMSL
well, he really needs to sign on - as unemployed as he is..

    ReplyDelete
  35. Maybe we should take up a collection for him, or something?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hi ladies,

I hope everyone is well and ready for a good weekend.

    Thanks for the post Rose.

Rhonda - I'm glad all is right in your world again. Good news.

Claire/Leni - loving the talk of Rob on the dole. LOL. As if...

Hi to Hope, Claire, RKSoulmates, Leni, Kay, Sydney, Katy, LIZ, Groovie, Anna, dottie, Kenzz, and everyone else I’ve missed. Hello to all the other Roseland regulars yet to post (you know who you are).

    ReplyDelete
  37. I offer up my house. He can stay with me until he gets on his feet again. Could take awhile.

    ReplyDelete
  38. @Claire:
I would definitely pay him for that LOL

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sydney... you have such a generous heart!

    Hi Freddie!!!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Oh Rose, great post. I never had any doubts because ROBERT AND KRISTEN ALWAYS END UP TOGETHER!!!! I have never been so happy, and I am twirling. Would anybody like to twirl with me?

    Have a great weekend everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Barbara Fenwick: Consider yourself with a twirling partner... me!! Happy days are here, that's for sure...

    ReplyDelete
  42. GTFO Sydney!!!!

I already have the spare room made up for him.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Shutup Claire. I said it first.

Or here...he can stay with you when he's in the U.K. And me when he's in the U.S.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hey Kenzz, Leni, Sydney and Claire.

So nice of you ladies to make the supreme sacrifice of offering poor destitute Rob a place to stay. Ha ha.

    How are things ladies?

    ReplyDelete
  45. It sounds like a plan Sydney.

Do you think Kristen will mind sharing her man with us?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Everything's great here, Freddie (except for the weather!)...

I'm certainly not as selfless as Claire and Sydney...Rob can come to stay, but he'll need to pitch in...vaccuum the pool, throw a load of laundry in, bring in the trash cans on garbage day, perhaps throw the dog a ball once in awhile... but we'd let Bear stay with us, so that's a plus for me :)

Freddie, I've been meaning to ask about the new job responsibilities... are you enjoying it?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Kenzz - Whoa there, he certainly wouldn't be lodging with me without pulling his weight, that's a certainty.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Claire: I have a sneaking suspicion that your idea of pulling his weight and mine might be a wee bit different! haha I guess I need to be more ...creative... :)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Kenzz...it depends on what you have him wear during his chores.

At my house he'd just need to help me practice bikram yoga. Hmmm, is it getting hot in here?

    ReplyDelete
  50. @Kenzz

What kind of woman do you think I am? Take your mind out of the gutter LOL

    ReplyDelete
  51. so, they have postponed my surgery twice since the lasr rime i checked in. the surgeon called to give the bad news, and i said

"jesus christ who do i have to sleep with to get some brain surgery around here"

he laughed. . . .sort of

i told my good friend that my surgeon's name is Dr. Vishwanathon.. .he goes "you know i qualified for the vishwanathon, but i was not able to run in it.

so it's true that you learn something everyday, like my friend is kinda racist

once again, everyone who gave me words of encouragement and said so many nice things thank you all. and do not worry, there was a glitch in the hospitsal/insurance dynamic, but we will get this done and it will work

love that rob is in london and i love how i had read that in a couple of places on the net but i didn't really believe it until rose wrote about it in her blog

is that not the coolest thing?

    ReplyDelete
  52. @kiki,

Damn, it only took you 30 min. from the time Rose posted "Isn't It Obvious?" to respond. You must check constantly to see if something new is up. If you haven't noticed, not every actor in Hollywood works 24/7. There isn't a human being on this planet that works non-stop. You sure do know alot about security, Cronenberg, and Rob for not being a fan! Why don't you post a pic of yourself and watch how we will tear you apart.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Wow Robert...I'm sorry that keeps happening to you. I'm sure you just want to be better. There's a lot of us here, and that means a lot of prayers for you.

    ReplyDelete
  54. yikes, i just went back and read some of these posts. am i going to have to jump in and protect rob from a herd of female chauvinists?

the man is not a piece of meat ladies

    ReplyDelete
  55. thanks sydney, that's really nice of you

    ReplyDelete
  56. Kenzz - you finally get the cabana boy you've been wanting. LOL.

The job is interesting and the people are very good at what they do. I still don't know if the girl I'm filling in for is coming back or not. At this point, I'm not quite sure what to wish for. If it ends up that I stay in the job (which is anything but a guarantee) it will likely be a fair bit of work and quite a bit more pressure/stress. We'll see what happens.

Glad all is well, except for the weather. It’s lousy here as well.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Robert – sorry to hear that it keeps on getting pushed back. Once again, you're viewing it with great humor.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Robert...I think I'd prefer Rob's sense of humor and laugh even over his pretty face. His endearing personality is his best asset. Right behind his jaw...lol.

    ReplyDelete
  59. freddie

    thank you

sydney. his sense of humor is by far my favorite thing about him

especially when he is messing with her and i love how she handles it and can guve as good as she gets

    ReplyDelete
  60. Robert, so very sorry about another "snafu"... your attitude will help you sail over this latest obstacle, again...

Freddie: I'm glad the job is interesting...certainly makes the day go by faster...Now I'm trying to picture Rob as my cabana boy...sooo wrong! haha

I'm beat tonite, so heading to an early night to bed (although I just glanced at the clock and realized it's a not-so-early evening after all) Goodnight to one & all, have a wonderful weekend.<3

((hugs)) to Rose, Smitty, Gruff, and Syd...Lots of twirling to go around!!

  61. @Robert

"... My Ghost is English... "
"... Guess where Rob is now?..."

YEH! This is better than a good movie... Interesting...funny... happy ending (it's obvious... )... free... and a sweet taste of victory on the idiots!! HÁ! Twirling... twirling... happy...

"...i’m feeling like a little girl
    Caught up in emotions
    I’m out of control
    Isn’t it obvious?..."
    "... Point and Laugh..."

    Me too ... A lot...

Can to be better? Sure not...

DK, you're kindness, your words always raise me up ... thank you my friend.

  64. Helloo Roselanders...oh what a promising weekend...

Rose, it.is.so.obvious! Robert and Kristen always end up together, it's not a matter of 'if' but 'when'! LOL 'My ghost is English' together with the 'twirling girl in veil' is the best emoticon so far LOL You're 'da woman'!
Hadn't I been soooo tired, I too would grab my popcorn and my beer and sit to watch the floodgates of stupidity that's bound to inundate the web LOL
And as to whoever is this @#$ that barged in here, she sounds like someone who'd been visiting here last year whose name starts with a M...does it ring any bells Roselanders? She provided us the funniest of times...

Robert is in 'da house'! And still waiting? Well, Sir 'you're taking it with amazing finesse' (paraphrasing E re B's immortality) *wink*
Hang in there R, we're all here for you, just let us know if this doc lets you down one mo' time and we'll chase him down LOL

And lots of girls from Isle Esme! *waves* Hi RKsoulmates and wania! I came to join 'da army' but like I said I'm worn out, had a not so good day having taken my 89 y/o babe (mom) to the oncologist *sigh*
Well, 01:36 down in Isle Esme and I'm heading to bed.
    Bye!

  68. Listen, Listen

    Sandy Denny (1972)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilYjcI8wq-c

The young man rose his pretty face,
All for to feel the salty spray.
When storms are mustering, they say
I'll come and take you all away.

I am a traveller by trade,
I only have what I have made.
A fortune teller too they say,
And I can take you all away.

    Listen, listen to him do.
He is the one who is for you.
    Listen, they say
He'll come and take us all away.

And over there the young man stayed,
Upon on the rocks so rough and grey.
Watching the boy, watching the day
Thinking of how he came to be.

A young man he, he is so real,
And never more to go astray.
He is of value now they say,
And he can take himself away.

    Thank you/chris28254

  69. I Went To A Marvellous Party

    Noel Coward (1940's):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOgyq3opK5k

I had the most extraordinary experience...
    Something to do with sun
    Couldn't understand myself, really

You know, quite for no reason
    I'm here for the season
    And high as a kite—
    Living in error
    With Maud at Cap Ferrat
    (Which couldn't be right)...

    Everyone's here, and frightfully gay;
    Nobody cares what people say,
    Though the Riviera
    Seems really much queerer
    Than Rome at its height!
    On Wednesday night

I went to a marvellous party
With Noonoo, and Nada, and Nell—
It was in the fresh air,
And we went as we were,
And we stayed as we were,
    (Which was hell)

Poor Grace started singing at midnight,
And she didn't stop singing 'til four—
We knew the excitement was bound to begin
When Laura got blind on Dubonnet and gin
And scratched her veneer with a Cartier pin!
I couldn't have liked it more!

I've been to a marvellous party
    We played a wonderful game:
    Maureen disappeared
And came back in a beard,
And we all had to guess at her name...

    Cecil arrived wearing armour,
Some shells and a black feather boa—
Poor Millicent wore a surrealist comb
Made of bits of mosaic from
    St. Peter's in Rome,
But the weight was so great
that she had to go home!
And I couldn't have liked it more!

I've been to a marvellous party
    I must say the fun was intense;
    We all had to do
    What the people we knew
Might be doing a hundred years hence...

We talked about growing old gracefully,
    And Elsie—who's seventy-four—
    Said, "A) it's a
    question of being sincere,
    And B) If you're supple you've got
    nothing to fear"—
Then she swung upside-down from a chandelier!
And I couldn't have liked it more!

It was the most fabulous excitement
    I've never seen such a carry-on!
    Obviously, it couldn't happen
Anywhere else but on the Riviera...

    It was most peculiar—
    You know, people's behaviour
    Away from Belgravia
    Would make you aghast!
    So much variety,
    Watching society
    Scampering past...

You know, if you have any mind at all,
    Gibbon's divine
    "Decline And
    Fall"—
    Well, it sounds pretty flimsy
    No more than a whimsy...
    By way of contrast,
    On Wednesday last

I went to a marvellous party
We didn't sit down 'til ten
    You know, young Bobby Carr
Did a stunt at the bar
With a lot of extraordinary men!

And then Freda arrived with a turtle,
(Which shattered us all to the core)
And then the duchess passed out
    at a quarter to three
    And suddenly Cyril cried
    "Fiddle-de-dee!",
Then he ripped off his trousers
    And jumped in the sea!
And I couldn't have liked it more!

I've been to a marvellous party
Elyse made an entrance with May
    you'd never have guessed
    From her fisherman's vest
That her bust had been whittled away...

Poor Lulu got fried on Chianti
    And talked about esprit de corps;
Louise made a couple of passes at Gus,
And Freddie—who hates any kind of a fuss—
Did half the Big Apple and
    twisted his truss—ha ha!
I couldn't have liked it more!

    Thank you/completelyriveting

  70. Don't Need To Lose You To Know

    Marcus Foster (song starts @2:13):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PE9hXcIQ0Ho

    The blood remembers the sword
    The sky remembers the birds
    Light leaks a color
    Of gold on her back
    And she's silently mumblin' words
    Mumblin' words

    Maps have forgotten the street
    Mirrors forgotten their sight
    There's a side of a sorrower
    Don't want to meet
She just quietly lays out her arm
    Lays out her arm

As I walk through this world
    Here in time
    got ten thousand moments
    down my mind
    If your footsteps to find
    That you're leavin' behind
    They don't tell me
    Which way to go

But I don't need to lose you
    To know
Don't need to lose you to know
    If I'm callin'
    I'm blindin' for some signs
I don't need to lose you to know

Well the rivers pretending to flow
The clouds are pretending to form
    Countin' all the sounds
    In the night
Takes off the day since she's born
    Since she was born ahh

As I walk through this world
    Here in time
    Got ten thousand moments
    Down my mind
    If your footsteps to find
    That you're leavin' behind

    They don't tell me
    Which way to go
    But I don't need
    To lose you to know
Don't need to lose you to know

    If I'm callin'
    I'm blindin' for some signs
I don't need to lose you to know

    Thank you/MadAboutVampires

  71. Good morning everyone!

Today, my bell rang, and one way or another, (listen, listen); I went to a marvelous party, and I don't need to lose you to know, that whirling, twirling, hurling, swirling were unfurling, and I couldn't have liked it more!

    Have an extraordinary Saturday.

I have a feeling Rob is in a much happier place than we've seen him lately if he is back with his girl, family, and friends.

Great read and pictures...thanks for getting the weekend started right.

Robert- I love your sense of humor in the midst of such troubles. Keep your chin up!

Rhonda- Happy to hear things are better with the family situation. Sweet sighs of relief for all involved I'm sure.

Freddie- Sending positive thoughts your way with the job situation. It's no fun not knowing how it's going to end up.

You ladies are a hoot! Thanks for the chuckles with your troll assessment and where Rob can lay that handsome head of his...

I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend!

  76. It is really a blustery day here. At least the sun is shining.

    Claire and Sydney,

Once again I am astounded at the generosity of the Roseland community. For you both to so selflessly offer your home to Rob in his time of need is truly a wonderful thing.

    Olivia,

The big game is on right now. Go Wolverines!

    IB,

Everything is well here except for some family members that are trying my patience, but that's just normal.

    Robert,

I'm glad to see you can retain your sense of humor because I think I would be reaming out the insurance companies and the doctor's right about now if I were in your position.

    DK,

    Love your blue hat.

    Angelica,

    Is all well with you?

Happy Saturday to anyone who passes by this place.

RHONDA..Hi...We have had THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WEATHER today EVER! Hubby played in a fundraiser outside this afternoon (Shrine Club). It was sunny, not a cloud in the sky and a light cool breeze...temp about 78...aaahhh:)

DK..I am going to catch up with you soon:)

OLIVIA and PL and ROB PATZ...I am reading a new book on my Kindle I would like to recommend..."The Killing of Lincoln" written by Bill O'Reilly (Fox News...he used to be a history teacher and co-written with a historian...cant recall his name)... very good book!

haven't commented in a really long while but i never miss to take a peak at your post..

I guess people still lack faith in this fandom. you're right when you said people go crazy when they read something or not read about Rob and Kristen.

you dont need someone to reassure you. just believe..otherwise you'll drive ourself crazy with wondering.

Rob and Kristen may at times be apart during work but you know they will always find a way to be together. they have proven that so many time. Faith is the key thing here.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4ptRRegnLQ

    You know it's a sin
    To tell a lie
Still you keep saying 'I love you'

    It may be true
    I wish I knew
    But I'm giving
    Fair warning to you

    Be sure it's true
When you say, 'I love you'
    It's a sin to tell a lie

    Millions of hearts
    Have been broken
    Just because these words
    Were spoken

    I love you
    Yes, I do
    I love you
    If you break my heart
    I'll die

So be sure that it's true

  95. Good Evening Roseland....

Well...I guess all I can really say about the "wedding" is ...scary...it is close to Halloween, isn't it?

Im sitting here trying to watch "Bridesmaids"...hmmm..about 15 minutes into it...Im not feeling it:(

    ReplyDelete
  96. @Super
It took me a while to get into that movie, too, but now I think it is one of the funniest I've ever seen. Let us know what you think when it's over.

    ReplyDelete
  97. @Super
I'm watching IRT Deadliest Roads, with truckers trying to deliver goods in Bolivia. Covering my eyes, when they are only 6 inches from the edge of the mountain road. Had to come here and calm down. What some people do to earn a living, I am awed.

Marriage can be a little like a dangerous road, and I wish anyone entering on it, the best. Of course, it is thrilling, too.

  98. Hi DK;
Yes, it was a sweet weekend (very windy though but bright and sunny)

This weekend was Open House NY weekend (It's fabulous!)
Free activities and tours in all five boroughs of this city with activities for kids as well!

Here's a little bit about it:
Open House New York (OHNY) Weekend is an annual celebration of New York City architecture and design in all five boroughs. OHNY Weekend offers free access to hundreds of New York City's diverse architectural and cultural landmarks. OHNY Weekend is a rare opportunity to join behind-the-scenes tours of historic New York City buildings, visit the workshops of the city's top designers and architects, see some of New York's most beautiful private residences, and more.

    You can read more here:

    Hi Super. :)

Robert- so sorry to hear about your situation! It's totally insane. Thank god you keep the umorism...
    hold on!

Oh and Kiki... (btw, what a terrible way to emulate kristen's name)...
Roses are red violets are blue, haters are fucking off so why don't you join them, too?

Talk to you soon Roseland! <3
    Sweet days to everyone!

Thanks for the info. on the NYC Open House. That would be a fab event, with behind the scenes of architecture, landmarks and glorious private residences. Maybe next year I could get there for it. I'll read more.

    @Fio

  103. They did get married!!!!!

Good luck Paul, something tells me you're going to need it.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I know I've took the piss out of her but I seriously hope now that she's married she stops with the snide remarks, backhanded compliments, and all around veiled aggression when it comes to Rob and Kristen. I'm not holding my breath though.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I wonder if she's took his surname.

    ReplyDelete
  106. DK..Haha...I think the best part of the movie was when she was trying to get the policeman to pull her over...lol

    ReplyDelete
  107. @Claire:
We all she would stop when she proclaimed loudly enough that she loved him and he was the one....It didn't.
    Don't hold your breath.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Hi CLAIRE bear!!!! Well should we bet on how long that "union" will last?

    ReplyDelete
  109. @Claire
Hope floats, right? Maybe a happier Nikki won't feel like, making herself unhappy, by making remarks that rile people, as in the past.

    @Super
Wilson Philips, for sure and loving friendships healed in the end, with a few bumps in the road, smoothed out.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Seriously though, if it was any other couple I'd be really happy for them, but I just start creasing up thinking about these two. PMSL

I think it started with them announcing their engagement at the MTV Awards. I can't wait to see the wedding pics, cos we all know they sold them to some outlet, guaranteed.

OMG I'm such a bitch, and I couldn't give a flying fuck LOL

Annie - it sounds like a wonderful event in NYC. A tour of the architecture would be fascinating.

    ReplyDelete
  113. @Claire
I know you aren't serious, and your humor is very much obvious. It is always sunny in Roseland when funny comments fly. You pitch them just right, and they hit the moon, many times.

    ReplyDelete
  114. A quick pop-in to say "Hi" to my favorite Roselanders...

Best wishes to the bride and (especially) the groom!

Haven't seen "Bridesmaids" yet, but heard it's fabulous... We watched "The Shining "with my daw today, as she's suddenly developed an interest in the horror genre (her words)... she wants to be a writer, actress, screenwriter????, and thinks that she needs to make herself aware of all genres...

hugs to Rose, Smitty, Gruff, and Syd...

too many to mention, but double hugs to DK, IB, PL, Robert, 30, Super, Fio, Rhonda, freddie, Annie, and everyone else who's posted today :)

  124. Hey Kenzz - all is well (although I wish it was the weekend again...) I just got back into town this afternoon, so it's good to be home.

What's new in your neck of the world?

Claire - no disrespect to Ms Reed's hubbie, but I approve of your change in avi.

    ReplyDelete

I will join you all in wishing the newlyweds well. Hopefully the new Mrs will be so happy w/her new hubby she will no longer feel the need to make others miserable.

It's kind of hard to believe that BD1 will be premiering soon. Time is flying!

Fio, I hope you have fun w/your friend.

Super, One of my gfs has been urging me to see Bridesmaids. Let us know what you think. I love Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Kenzz - love the idea of the stay at home mom. I've been thinking a lot about early retirement recently...Just joking.

I don't mean to be mean, but with all this talk of Nikki's wedding, I keep thinking of that scene in Eclipse where Rosalie busts through the door dressed in the wedding dress, and has that slightly demonic look on her face. Can't get that image out of my mind. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Freddie - OMFG I was thinking of that earlier LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  137. @Claire: I bet the newly minted Mr and Mrs MacDonald just can't wait to talk about their wedding!

Anyone? Anyone? Tabloids? Red carpets? BD1 promo?

    ReplyDelete
  138. Hello ladies-

Annie- That event in NYC sounds like so much fun. It's stuff like this that makes me wish I lived in a big city. Hope you've enjoyed some of it.

Dk- Love the hat and the air of mystery it brings...

Claire- Since you are in a talkative mood, I have to ask you, have you heard the Bruno Mars song for Breaking Dawn yet? If so, what do you think (since you are such a fan of his ha,ha)?

Super- I loved Bridesmaids but it isn't for everyone. The bro/sis room mates were a hoot.

Hi Freddie, Kenzz, and Dottie! Hope you all are well!

As for Nikki getting married. I hope it makes her happy and content in life. Because something needs to.

I went to a baby shower today. They played a game called "The Price is Right" where you had to match the correct prices to the baby items. Guess who won? Me...the woman without kids...

    ReplyDelete
  139. Annie: I'm exhausted just reading about the activities offered in NYC...

Claire: Yes...! pmsl (which I had to Google to know what it meant)

    dottie: ewwww, ikki nikki image!

freddie, annie, claire: you've completely creeped me out about the wedding ... and probably all true

    ReplyDelete
  140. Hey Melinda - way to go on the Price is Right. I hope your prize wasn't a baby item. LOL.

    Hope all is well.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  142. Hi Melinda! no kids???... would you like to borrow some for a weekend??... lol

    Good Evening to All...

DK and DOTTTIE..I thought the movie was...hmmmm..OK...Maybe there is just something wrong with me(no surprise there..lol) but it didn't bowl me over...

FREDDIE...Ugh..I surely hope their honeymoon is better than that scene from Eclipse...lol

    KENZZ...Yes, time flies...

I like SYDs posts...the sober ones are clever and I have trouble reading the drunken ones:)

    ReplyDelete
  148. Annie - No doubt in my mind whatsoever, they'll be all over that red carpet like a fly around shit.

    Mel - I actually like it! :x

Claire, I can't even begin to imagine where those 2 would honeymoon. It's not something I want to think about. :0

Claire- You cmtfu with your snark! You know the song has really grown on me and so I'm wondering what's wrong with me! I see it being played during the birth scene.

  155. ANNIE..Lol..Im sure we will hear all about the big day on ET...

Hi MELINDA...Yes, the bro/sis were funny...lol...Somehow I got a preconceived notion in my head about that movie and it was nothing like I thought it would be...

    ReplyDelete
  156. Mel - I think it will be played then too.

It's a nice song, and if I'm being totally honest I've been listening to it quite a bit. Somebody slap me. LOL

  157. Super- I think the line "Do you want to put your american sausage in my english muffin?" was so funny. I think because she was so dry in her delivery.

  158. Good Night Ladies...

I will have to check out that song...have been tied up with lots of RL activitie as of late...such as washing dishes by hand....ugh... ttyl

    ReplyDelete
  159. Claire- I think the reason why I like it is because the lyrics aren't silly (um catching a grenade, seeing a sky full of lighters). Hope that is where it is played. Will probably kill me even though I know Bella becomes a vamp.

Well goodnight all...time to start watching The Good Wife.

Have a great start to the week!

  160. Mel - See I really like Lighters, if only because I love Royce Da 5'9.

  163. It Wasn't Me

    Jenny Lewis:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9LmC0KqRzw

    It wasn't me, I wasn't there
I was just watching from over here
And besides, I couldn't afford the bus fare

    In Hollywood and Washington
They shake and smile through the harm they've done
But it's your little red wagon
    And you gotta pull it

It'll take a lifetime to clear your name
Under the bridges of fame it's always nighttime
    It wasn't me, I wasn't there
I was stone drunk, it isn't clear

And it doesn't count cause I don't care
    The years transform my memories
Of all the countless decades of grief
It was cut and run in '91

    Put yourselves in a straightjacket
    But when you're pleading
Saying it's no cheaper than humiliation
    That's free...

I've gone and quit my worshipping
Of the false gods and golden sins
Cause we've made love in the Tower of Babel
    And it fell down

    It wasn't me, I wasn't there
That was not my love affair
    That is not my lover
    That's not even my friend

    It wasn't me, I wasn't there
I was stone drunk, it isn't clear
And it doesn't count cause I don't care

But I use a pop song to clear my name
Under the bridges of fame it's always nighttime
I'll end with a closure and say goodnight

    Thank you/georgem21275

I look mysterious in my new hat avi? Why thank you. I was going for not ridiculous!

    @Robert
Your student stories are such fun. So interesting, that how the use of one word, instead of another, changes the entire meaning of something. Yet, at the same time it doesn't, for we are all in on the real meaning, aren't we?
You are not alone, that's for sure, and are cared for in deed.

    @Freddie
I am having a quiet Sunday pondering. Now, pouring a glass of red wine to stop that, and just be, free. Sundays, are that way for me, when I let them go.

  165. My Elusive Dreams

    George Jones & Tammy Wynette:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8hElLJAuOI

    I'd followed you to Texas
    I'd followed you to Utah
    We didn't find it there
    So we moved on

I went with you to Alabama
    Things looked good in Birmingham
    We didn't find it there
    So we moved on

I know you're tired of following
    My elusive dreams and schemes
    For they're only fleeting things
    My elusive dreams

You had my child in Memphis
Then I heard of work in Nashville
    We didn't find it there
    So we moved on

To a small farm in Nebraska
To a gold mine in Alaska
    We didn't find it there
    So we moved on

    And now we've left Alaska
Because there was no gold mine
But this time only two of us
    Moved on

Now all we have is each other
    And just a little memory
    To cling to
And still I won't let you
    Go on alone

I know you're tired of following
    My elusive dreams and schemes
    For they're only fleeting things
    My elusive dreams

  166. I bought my Twilight Tuesdays movie tickets for 11/1 & 11/8. Going to see Twilight and New Moon on the big screen for the first time.

Not sure I can face the midnight showing of BD1, since the young lady behind the ticket counter told me it will be insane, just like the other times. I can enjoy insane but will I be able to hear the movie?

Who's going to the midnight showings, Roselanders?

Still have some time to decide, and meanwhile, promo time is coming right up, to amuse and enchant. Ahhh.

    This Is All I Ask

    Tony Bennett & Josh Groban:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Npk9fBUcR0

As I approach the prime of my life
I find I have the time of my life
Learning to enjoy at my leisure
    All the simple pleasures

    And so I happily concede
That this is all I ask
    This is all I need

    Beautiful girls
    Walk a little slower
    When you walk by me

    Lingering sunsets
    Stay a little longer
    With the lonely sea

    Children everywhere
When you shoot at bad men
    Shoot at me

    Take me to that strange
    Enchanted land grown ups
    Seldom understand

    Wandering rainbows
    Leave a bit of color
    For my heart to own

    Stars in the sky
    Make my wish come true
    Before the night has flown

    And let the music play
As long as there's a song to sing
    And we will stay
    Younger than Spring

    Thank you/outlyingpad

  168. You can almost predict what will happen when you keep putting things off.

I put off going to see Taylor in Abduction until yesterday, and now it is gone from the theater. Lashed myself with some fried noodles when I got home, to atone.

Looks like I'll wait for the dvd and buy it (hope he gets a piece of that). Then, I'll watch it in the privacy of my own home, where I can just kind of adore him, without judging the movie.

I do adore young folks who work very hard to be the best, that they can be. Truly, else I wouldn't be here on Rose's blog, I'm thinking.

  169. This is a very exciting building complex to live in, after all.

Now it doesn't compare to any that I may be living in now, if Tom Sturridge & Sienna Miller had decided to stay in Chicago (dream on).

However, while I am looking at lakes and trees from my balcony, I'm also off of the main drag, that leads out of here. Exciting things happen, like sirens blare and flashing lights strobe in the night, while police cars speed past.

I don't wish any harm or foul on anyone, but even the FGM cannot prevent karma/fate/or such. Am wondering what will be the norm, when the ski hill here opens, as the snow flies, or the snow machine throws.

Why am I not upset about all of this? It means, no more lonely or quiet nights, like where I used to live, and now, it keeps everything a' flutter. A' flutter in my lingo means, "I'm alive, surprise, surprise!".

    Wacka-doo, wacka-doo.

    No More Lonely Nights

    Paul McCartney:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONAFpHPMuHE

    I can wait another day
    Until I call you
    You've only got my heart
    On a string
    And everything a'flutter

    But another lonely night
    Might take forever
We've only got each other to blame
It's all the same to me love

    'Cause I know what
    I feel to be right
    No more lonely nights
    No more lonely nights
    You're my guiding light
Day or night I'm always there

    May I never miss
The thrill of being near you
And if it takes a couple of years
To turn your tears to laughter
I will do what I feel to be right
    No more lonely nights
    (Never be another)

    No more lonely nights
    You're my guiding light
Day or night I'm always there
    And I won't go away
    Until you tell me so

    No, I'll never go away
Yes, I know what I feel to be right
    No more lonely nights

    No, I'll never go away
    No more lonely nights

  171. For Robert

    Coming Back To Life

    Pink Floyd (1994):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVxnNNGjubg

Where were you when I was burned and broken
While the days slipped by from my window watching

Where were you when I was hurt and helpless
Because the things you say and the things you do surround me

While you were hanging yourself on someone else's words
Dying to believe in what you heard
I was staring straight into the shining sun

Lost in thought and lost in time
While the seeds of life and the seeds of change were planted

Outside the rain fell dark and slow
While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime

I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the moment had arrived
For killing the past and coming back to life

I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the waiting had begun
    And headed straight..
    Into the shining sun

    Thank you/miron603

Take Me To The Mardi Gras

    Paul Simon:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITDgDkqYbss

C'mon take me to the Mardi Gras
Where the people sing and play
    Where the music is elite
And there's dancing in the street
    Both night and day

Hurry take me to the Mardi Gras
In the city of my dreams
    You can legalize your lows
You can wear your summer clothes
    In the New Orleans

And I will lay my burden down
Rest my head upon that shore
And when I wear that starry crown
    I won't be wanting anymore

Take your burdens to the Mardi Gras
Let the music wash your soul
You can mingle in the street
You can jingle to the beat
    Of Jelly Roll

    Tumba, tumba, Mardi Gras
    Tumba, tumba, day

    Thank you/gmtobehere

  175. Okay, I know that the Mardi Gras isn't until Feb or March. It's the feeling I'm talking about, my dear Sillies.

Katrina, woke us up and we might have done better, but earthquakes, and snow/rain/wind will not undo our visions. (Little bit drunk on Pinot Noir, sorry, and not as funny as Syd either, sorry about that, but where is the Sydmeister, anyway?) Give me lots of leeway for age, that's begging and true.)

Or not, as it pleases you, for I please me.

  176. One of the biggest surprises in life, is when you surprise yourself.

If you say something, why others will hold you accountable, and it doesn't mean a thing to you, but it does to them cause they look to you or past you, for answers.

Somwhere along the line, you meet in the middle, and ignore the differences and move forward.

    Onward, we march together..

Like the wolfpacks, we are connected, against our will, but totally. It's the deal we struck, somewhere in time.

Stiffle it Edith, I say to myself.

  180. Robert ~ Hey!! I haven't been around much, RL is kicking my butt! I did see your post on "impactful" and I had to comment. Hallelujah! Impact is a noun, and I hate it when it is used a verb. Then to make matters worse, they add "ful", further destroying the English language. (I was an English major)

I hope all goes well w/ your surgery in the coming weeks. Hubs' father and two aunts had Parkinsons ~ it is a very difficult disease. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I do know the surgery can work wonders in many patients. Wishing you the BEST!

Bon Jour to the rest of the regs! I've missed chatting. I hope my RL stress abates soon and I can spend some more time catching up w/ you all.
