Rob and Kristen-- California Dreaming

Desperado! Why don't you come to your senses...

Another chase through LAX...

Oh my goodness.
Honestly.
I'm laughing my ass off.
Seriously.
It is on the fucking floor...
rolling around
So Robert was seen arriving at LAX yesterday.
And once again...
The fandom goes crazy.
For some reason that I cannot fathom...
Rob coming to LAX ALONE
suddenly means horrible things about his relationship with Kristen.
How does that work again?
Didn't the haters learn anything from the last time
Robert was spotted at LAX
and they shouted from every twitter/tumblr
that he was never in London!
Only to be shot down by Robert himself
when he proclaimed that he was indeed in London.
And now...
Rob gets to LAX
They start shouting again...
Same thing...
Rob was never in London with THAT girl!
OOPS.
See.
Where exactly do you think Rob was all weekend?
Maybe if you ignore it... it will go away.

And now pictures come out
(And I won't be showing them here)
Showing Rob and Kristen at the same residence.
Rob left during the night (Oct 30th), Kristen in the morning (Oct 31st)

"He was in London spending time with girlfriend Kristen Stewart,
and the duo were both spotted coming out of her apartment on Saturday.
Rob popped over to the UK to visit Kristen" --PopSugar

Oh dear.
Ouchie.
That's gotta sting... just a bit.
Rob went to hang out with Kristen for a couple of nights
before he flew back to LA.
But lets not leave out Marcus Foster
who was also pictured leaving at some point.
(Imagine the horror that a friend stopped by!)
You remember Marcus... Right?
He had Kristen in his video.
Right.
So of course...
(And I dare you to keep a straight face while reading this)
MARCUS IS THE ENGLISH BOYFRIEND!!!!
(Told ya!)
Desperation does strange things to people.

Oh how I have missed this beautiful face...
So because Rob was seen at LAX
He didn't 'wait' for Kristen...
He's making a BOLD statement?
It's part of his exit strategy.
(Exit strategy for a PR romance? What?)
Um.
Or maybe after spending the weekend with her
he had to get back to LA
and she still had to work...
OR
Where IS Kristen Stewart?
Did she already arrive in LAX unseen?
Is that why Rob had so much luggage?
(Dean didn't travel with him from London)
I actually LOVE the thought of her being back in LA already
Remaining out of the public eye...
Dashing all the PR nonsense to the ground.
AGAIN.
But alas...
Time will tell.
We might not see her until November 3rd.
They are good at this stuff... aren't they?
Wink. Wink. Nudge. Nudge.
WFE Rob is one of the best Robs
It finally happened!
WATER FOR ELEPHANTS
is now out on DVD!!!!
Really people...
Rob is splendid in this movie.
You need to own this movie.
You need to watch it over and over again.
You need to see Rob all dirty and sweaty...
and being all sweet and adorable with the animals...
and did I mention sweaty and dirty?
He's good in this movie.
It's incredible to watch...
Buy it.
Own it.
Add it to your Rob collection.
I own all of Rob's movies except his first one...
I suggest you do the same.
Rob and Tai

You can never get too much of Robert and Tai.
So sweet.
Worth the price of the movie alone.
And remember...

Nobody does it better...
Rob cleans up pretty good in this one too.

OK.
Did we cover it all?

1. Rob spent the weekend with Kristen in London.
Some invasive pap pics showing them coming (or going)
Out of the same place last weekend.

2. Rob left for LA before Kristen.
Or did he?
Did she have to work a couple more days?
Did she get into LA unseen?
Some things to ponder.
Where is Kristen Stewart?
You know she likes to spend Halloween with her family...
Just a thought.

3. Marcus visited Rob and Kristen over the weekend.
Immediately he is WITH Kristen.
So sorry for his REAL girlfriend.
Amazing how she is seen in the vicinity of Marcus a few times...
and suddenly he is the ENGLISH boyfriend.
(Yes... they are shipping MARSTEN!!)
Rob is seen with Kristen
again and again and again
over the course of years...
Yet...
Somehow...

4. WFE is out on DVD
Buy it or else.
Not sure what the 'or else' is...
But really
You won't regret it.

This post is brought to you by the letter *T* and *H*

T for...

Tom needs a hug. And maybe a burger.

 Thomas Sturridge.
He was recently interviewed in "The Times" magazine.
Brilliant.
 First...

"He is a strange mix. Confident, articulate and inquisitive...
He can also come across as cynical, awkward and defensive."

All things I would attribute to Tom.
But yet... the most telling thing he said
was in reference to Robert.

He refuses point blank, to talk about his girlfriend, Sienna Miller,
or Robert Pattinson, his childhood friend.
"When you agree to be interviewed,
it's an opportunity to review your own moronic-ness" he says.
"It's OK if I come across as a complete idiot,
but it's not fair for me to describe or refer to anyone else.
Anyone can be tainted by my mention of them".

Hard not to love his loyalty.
Hard not to love him.
Period.

And K for Knocked Down to your Knees

Rob was with Kristen... again.
Don't you ever...
EVER
get tired of being wrong?
If I were you ...
I would just stay down there.
(You must like it... you're there so much)
You won't like the next few days.

Rob and Kristen ALWAYS end up together. Get used to it.
Rob and Kristen have seemed to let their guard down a bit lately.
They don't like their relationship viewed as a product
or as entertainment...
But surely...
Making so many people smile isn't a bad thing.
So a little slip here and there...

I have an English boyfriend.
I was in London last week.
I'm English.
I spent the last 2 New Years here and they were fucking incredible.
Me and Kristen are married in the eyes of the church.
That's actually true.

And it's ONLY the beginning!
So
Fucking Twirl!

It's better than crashing and burning.

The word for November is:
 OBVIOUSLY
The theme for November is
YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET

BYE FOR NOW

  1. I didn't know there were pictures of them together in the UK. If you're not going to post them Rose then I'll trust your judgement and not look myself.

And @ Marcus being the English Boyfriend *snort*

  2. Marcus must be the most understanding friend/boyfriend ever! hahaha

Rose, you've got me all twirly now... can't wait for good stuff that's sure to come.

  5. Lol, knew you'd mention the "Marsten" crap.

Honestly the haters are creepy and so difficult to keep up with. I wish they'd follow a set bunch of rules but they change them every now and again. When they're back down to earth (WFE premiere) they get all pissed at Rob and threaten to not view his movie. Either it loos like Kristen and Rob are together but she's a clingy bitch and has no friends etc. Or they're not together and it's PR etc. etc. etc.

They want proof too. They demand hand holding - kissing (they're married women! why do married women want proof of 20+ year olds dating?!?!?!?!?!) - but when they have that proof it's still PR. He hates her too. Can't possibly be with her.

    Blah fu***** blah!

Where are the Marcus and Kristen kissing images? Where are the Marcus and Kristen hand holding pictures? Oh right there aren't any! They're nuts! They will never accept Kristen so them coming up with the craziest of things will never end.

Yeah maybe it was that Rose. She had to do a little more work.

For sure. It's been out here in the UK for months. But as cheap as I am, I wait until the price goes down. Student life. WFE though is a magical kind of movie to be honest. :')

  6. Hi Rose, I always follow your blog but i have never commented before. Your excellent in your writing of Rob and Kris! Seeing is believing, when you see any picture taken of them together you can see the magical spark between them. Thats all ive to say 8-)

    ReplyDelete
  7. You were right Rose - I couldn't keep a straight face while reading the stuff about "Marsten" LOL
    Brilliant as always, thanks :)

  8. I can't wait for them to be together for Promo. Does this mean Taylor is FINALLY joining? Why hasn't he been doing any promo and why has no one asked them this question?

Mostly though...I can't wait to see what Kristen wears.

Breaking Dawn is in a few weeks. I don't usually like to go opening day because of all the screaming and lines, but there's just no way I can wait.

And with these nonnies...such willfull stupidity. They contradict themselves from one tweet to the next. Kristen's gay! Marcus is the English boyfriend! Well, which is it you unfathomable ignoramus? How embarrassing it must be to be them.

What a doll Tom is. Ever the protector.

  9. Hi Rose,

Thanks for posting today. I’ve been off line for a bit so I missed all the “Marsten” nonsense. Wow…Just wow. I’m sorry the papps got a picture of where they were.

I’m looking forward to the rest of the week. Glad to see Rob safe and sound, and safe travels to Kristen if she hasn’t already made it home.

Tom is lovely, and a great friend.

Well, I’m off to buy WFE so I may or may not see you later, depending on how much time I spend pouring over the DVD.

Hi to Claire, dottie, LJ (nice to see you by the way), Leni, kstewrocks, Sydney, our newer posters and everyone yet to post. Have a good evening all, if I don’t “see” later.

Seriously, LMAO @ "Marsten"...that's beyond stupid!

Love the photos of Tom, and his interview was great. What a wonderful person he is...

Liza- So great to see you back here..((Hugs))

  14. Angelica- They are pitiful, and pathetic :(

  16. I am really loving the November theme, Rose and shaking my head at the latest craziness the whackos are spewing...it is like they are in a "most ridiculous" contest or something. Looking forward to all the goodness coming up this week...so many things to be happy and twirly about. :D

Sending Robert well wishes for a speedy recovery from his surgery today.

Hi Claire, Dottie, Liza, Angelica, Leni, Sydney, Freddie, Rhonda, kstewrocks, Sami, Lady Fallow and everyone else that stops by. Take care and have a great week! <3

  17. okay off topic do you guys think that Jennifer Lawernce should have been cast as bella

    ReplyDelete
  18. bcaceres30 - never heard of the woman.

    ReplyDelete
  19. @bcaceres30:
No, I don't think so. I'm sure that no one could have played Bella better then Kristen.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Bcaceres30- No, Kristen is the perfect 'Bella', I can't imagine anyone else being cast in that role but her.

    ReplyDelete
  21. @claire @leni its just that most twilight book fans think that kristen ruined the bella character. i dont know i was watching Eclipse and i just became dissapointed with her acting. rob is amazing though

    ReplyDelete
  22. Great post! Loved it!
Excited to see Rob & Kristen promoting BD this week, poor Kristen will be exhausted I imagine.
Hopefully she'll get to at least go home & get some R&R in with her man each night.

Hope all is well with everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  23. LJ - She had a pop at Kristen for only reading the first Twi book, therefore in her eyes she could have done a better job as Bella because she had read them all. *eyeroll forever*

She's a fantastic actress though, she's amazing in 'Winter's Bone' which got her an Oscar nom.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Hi Rose,

Thank you for another excelent post!!

Marsten??? Ninnies are fucked up in the head and here I was thinking that their BS couldn’t be more ludicrous, they have completely lost their minds. It’s anything but reality with these idiots.

HELL YES!! I'm going to buy my Water for Elephant DVD to hadd to my Rob collection.

Assuming Kristen is on her way to LA...I wish her a safe trip.

Tom looks cute in those pics. He is the sweetest and most loyal friend.

Hope everyone is having a great day. Take care.

    ReplyDelete
  25. bcaceres - Kristen is the best thing about Twilight IMO. She gives it a certain emotional kick that's needed for it not to be a complete cheese fest.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hey Liza! It's good to see you here :)

Angelica, I feel like I have seen you in a while. Hope all is well. Whatever happened about your back surgery? I've been meaning to ask.

I can't imagine anyone playing the role of Bella except Kristen. Honestly, w/o Kristen as Bella I'm not sure the saga would have been as successful. She carries those movies.

    ReplyDelete
  27. @claire that is exactly my point Jennifer is a better actress thank Kristen and i wish she would have been cast instead off Kristen. she would have done amazing. the hunger games is lucky that they have an oscar nominated actress.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Bcaceres30- Sorry, I have to disagree. Kristen has been amazing as 'Bella' throughout the entire series in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @bcaceres30:
I don't think that most fans of the book think that she ruined it. I think that very few (although very loud) women say that she ruined it, because in their eyes Kristen can't do anything right!
You sure won't find another actress that is as compassionate and has such a deep understanding for the character as Kristen.

    ReplyDelete
  30. And I don't mean that to put the other actors down. Rob does amazing for what he has to work with in Twilight, he can only do so much with Edward.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Leni- Exactly! Kristen knows that character inside and out.

    ReplyDelete
  32. bcaceres - I don't think Jennifer is a better actor than Kristen. Just because she's got an Oscar nom and Kristen hasn't that doesn't make her a better actor. Jennifer was fantastic in 'Winter's Bone' but hasn't exactly blew me away in anything else.

Kristen has a consistency to her work that not many can match. Speak, The Cake Eaters, In the Land of Women, Into the Wild, TYH, The Runaways, and WTTR, and she was AMAZING in all of them.

She also has something that Jennifer seems to lack, given her dig at Kristen, and that's class. You never hear her having a bad thing to say about her peers, and that's one of the reasons I lover so much.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hi Everyone!

    Liza...glad to see you back!!

    bcaceres...WHAT!!? Are you joking??
Let's all remember NO KRISTEN = NO ROB!!
Kristen and Rob made Twilight the phenomenon it is today.
Plus Kristen will get an Oscar nomination one day...just wait and see.

Robert...hope everything went well today at the hospital.

    ReplyDelete
  34. bcaceres - I'm not a particularly big Twilight fan. I saw this guy on the television with crazy hair and eyes that turned me to mush and I had to find out who he was. I found out he was called Robert Pattinson so I looked up his interviews on Youtube and I was a goner, I've never laughed so much in my life.

I checked out his movies and saw just how talented he was and I became a fan. Simple as that.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Angelica, that should be I HAVEN'T seen you in a while. :)

There would have been complaints no matter who was cast, but I don't think Summit or Stephanie Meyers have any regrets about casting Kristen as Bella. And millions of fans agree with them apparently if the box office returns are any indication.

    Hope, so true!

    ReplyDelete
  36. @claire see thats the thing i love the books and kristen is just not a good bella. the fans that like her acting are not big twilight fans.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @Claire:
Exactly. She hasn't gotten an Oscar yet, but all the people she has ever worked with have only the highest praise for her. Bill Condon (an Oscar winner himself) said that part of why he wanted to do BD was so that he could work with Kristen.

What I also love about Kristen is that she defends Bella no matter what. Show me another actress that defends a fictional character with so much emotion and fervor!

I LOVE Kristen's acting AND I am a Twilight fan!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hi Claire thanks for that, I don't think I've seen anything shes been in.

    Hi Dottie, Hope & Kay!

In my opinion Kristen is an amazing actress...but I think its the chemistry between her and Rob that really shines in all the films. You just can't act chemistry and intensity like that and it wouldn't have been the same with anyone else as Bella.

    ReplyDelete
  41. bcacaeres - Your version of what Bella should be is your opinion. Plenty of other people will be of the opinion that she is the perfect Bella. I haven't read the books so I can't comment on 'Book Bella', but I'll always be of the opinion that Kristen is the best thing about Twilight.

    ReplyDelete
  42. @claire look to be honest i dont think kristen is a good actress and she is the worst thing about Twilight

    ReplyDelete
  43. @bcaceres:
Have you seen her other movies?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Oct 29, 2011: ' Twilight' stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are seen arriving separately at an apartment. Pattinson was seen arriving at the apartment on the evening of October 29. A tired-looking Stewart was spotted arriving around lunchtime on October 31 Pattinson's rep Sarah Spear visited the apartment on the evening of October 30.

    THIS IS THE TRUTH!!!!!!

NOT POPSUGAR and Sara Spear is her london rappresentative

  45. Hi dottie - I'm fine. I've had an anaesthetic block to buy a bit of time. So far so good.

bcaceres30 - I'm not sure where you're coming from.Kristen is what actually makes the Bella character real and likeable, book Bella was actually pretty annoying a lot of the time. Kristen's a fantastic actress, something which many of the most respected names in the industry agree upon and I certainly don't think your generalisations about Twilight book fans are accurate either.

    ReplyDelete
  46. bcaceres - That's your opinion and you are welcome to it, so long as you don't insult her personally. Opinions are like arseholes, we've all got one. Although given that that is infact your opinion, I find it strange that you have Kristen as Bella as your avi.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I agree with Hope...Kristen and Rob made Twilight the phenomenon it is today.
To me Kristen is the perfect Bella and Rob is the perfec Edward.

    ReplyDelete
  48. @i have a bella avi because i am huge twilight fan and bella is my favorite character. look i am not being a troll. i actually really do like kristen.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Ok I'm out.

    Great to 'see' you all!!

I'll leave you with my final thought....

    I ❤ Kristen

    ReplyDelete
  50. bcaceres30 - Why do you claim in your bio that Kristen is your favourite actress since that is clearly total bullshit?

    ReplyDelete
  51. @angelica:
True. Kristen brings a lot of herself to Bella and makes her a much stronger character. If she would stick to book Bella I'm sure that the movies wouldn't be as good as they are.

    ReplyDelete
  55. LJ - Goodnight

    ReplyDelete
  57. Bcaceres30- you like Kristen, but think she's a terrible actress....what???

    ReplyDelete
  58. @Rhonda:
LOL that's what I also said.. doesn't make much sense to me..

    ReplyDelete
  59. @leni @claire i like Kristen but she is not in the level of jennifer lawrence or emma stone.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'M writing before i read, gosh! my inside is in pain need you ladies to calm me down.So how now there is a rumor, any of you read this too? kristen is now with marcus, please don't get upset with me, gawd i need my head check!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. @bcaceres:
Again, have you seen her other movies?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Leni- LOL we can all be confused together ;)

    ReplyDelete
  63. @Vangie:
    Please read Rose's post again.

    ReplyDelete
  64. @Rhonda:
Glad I'm not the only one who is confused LOL

    ReplyDelete
  65. @leni yes i have seen her other movies.

    ReplyDelete
  66. angelica - It ave me a headache reading it (or trying to at least).
    LOL

bcaceres - Again, that's your opinion. I'm of the opinion that Kristen is a better actor than both Jennifer and Emma. She's shown a LOT more range than either of them.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Of course is not my first language........easily to understand

    ReplyDelete
  71. Someone mentioned what Kristen will wear for promos and I always want to see her shoes because I love shoes but Kristen never stays in hers. I had this brilliant idea.;) She should get with a designer and design some fabulous...edgy...dress to impress...comfortable (of course)...Chucks!LOL

    I love Kristen too.<3

    ReplyDelete
  72. Angelica, keeping my fingers crossed that the relief lasts.

I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone here! Is it a language barrier or are true colors starting to show???

I <3 Kristen, too! And agree w/Rob that she's the "best actress of her generation"

    Later!

    ReplyDelete
  73. @bcaceres:
If that's your opinion..Kristen has played so many different roles and always challenged herself. While I like Emma Stone I'm not sure she could pull off a stripper, a rape victim, a girl with a muscle disease, an international rock star or show such vulnerability as seen in into the wild! And let's not forget about On The Road, she was cast as Marylou at a really young age and that character requires extreme maturity and acting at its best!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Angelica- LOL! I thought that gate was to be permanently shut?!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Thanks dottie!

    I'm thinking true colours!

    ReplyDelete
  76. @dottie:
In agreement about the true colors!

    @angelica:

  77. Have you guys seen the new Cosmopolis still that I posted on the previous post?

    ReplyDelete
  78. @Claire:
I can't wait for that movie, but I'm actually even more excited about Bel Ami!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Motherhin - I love shoes too and much like Kristen,I usually end up carrying them. We should get Jimmy Choo to design a range of Chucks for her :)

    ReplyDelete
  80. Motherhin- Agreed. Kristen always has the best shoes!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Leni, remember i wrote, i rite this before i read! but rob seems to have a hicky, but i will read now!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Leni - Don't even get me started on Bel Ami. OMFG

    ReplyDelete
  83. Claire & Leni- They just need to release that movie..

    ReplyDelete
  84. @Claire:
Have you read the book? It's seriously one of the best books I have ever read!

    ReplyDelete
  85. @Rhonda:
I don't know if I can wait much longer!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Rhonda - *Nods head*

Leni - Bel Ami is one of my favourite novels. When I found out that Rob was playing Georges, well.......

    ReplyDelete
  87. WTF did I miss?

I find it pretty blasphemous to say Kristen wasn't the ONLY choice for Twilight. Period. She is Twilight. For without her, we would not have Rob and I truly think it is their unique combination that made Twilight the success it was. Remember, they weren't sure they were going to make the other three. It was only the HUGE success of Twilight, that made them decide to do the rest.

All respect to Jennifer Lawrence's acting, that would have been a horrible miscast. She is not right for that part even a little bit.

I am a huge fan of the books and a huge fan of the movies and of Kristen's acting. And I can't imagine this is the type of place I would go if that were not the case.

Kristen has proven herself to be an extraordinary actress time and again. By critics, and fans alike. And of course, pretty much everyone who has ever worked with her.

I couldn't have picked a better Bella myself.

And I agree wholly with Claire: Kristen is a class act all the way.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Leni- I really don't understand why it's taking so long.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Sydney- Well said, couldn't agree more. I <3 Kristen too!

    ReplyDelete
  90. @Claire:
I know. I could picture him right from the beginning as the perfect Georges :)

    @Sydney:
Couldn't have said it better :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  92. @Rhonda:
That movie and On The Road - I just want them out NOW!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Leni & Claire- Even though he wasn't the nicest person, I found myself feeling bad for 'Georges'

    ReplyDelete
  94. Leni- Yes, OTR...definitely, can't wait!

    ReplyDelete
  95. @Rhonda:
You're right. I love authors or actors that are able to make you feel bad for the villain!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Leni & Claire - BA isn't usually my type of film but Rob looks so fantastic in the trailer! OTR will be amazing too :)

    Sydney - Totally agree!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Rhonda - I honestly disliked Madeleine and Madame Walter more than Georges.

OMG I need to stop talking about Bel Ami because I will end up going into a full on rant PMSL.

I wanted to say before that I don't know exactly what is wrong with your back, but I hope that you get well soon :)

  99. SO MUCH to look forward too next year OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  100. angelica - Are you having back problems? D:

  101. @Claire:
I know. Bel Ami, OTR, Cosmopolis, SWATH, BD2.. it will be fucking amazing!

    ReplyDelete
  102. Leni- Exactly. When they--whether it be an actor, writer, musician--are able to make you feel those emotions, things you didn't expect, that's the mark of greatness, in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I can't believe I just read that shit. WTF?

There is no Twilight without Kristen as Bella or Rob as Edward. ANY other combination is just out of the question.

ANYWAY...are you guys talking about the book Cosmopolis? I have it on my nook, haven't read it yet.

And speaking of Jennifer Lawrence, did anyone read Hunger Games? I know people like it but I just found it absurd and couldn't finish it.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Oh nevermind, you're talking about Bel Ami.

    ReplyDelete
  105. @Sydney:
We are talking about Bel Ami. I haven't read the Hunger Games - I think that it isn't my type of book.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Claire- LOL! Hopefully, it will be released soon :)

    ReplyDelete
  107. One of your best posts yet! love it Rose. I can't believe there are still doubters out there lmao thanks

    ReplyDelete
  108. Sydney- I have the book, but just barely started it..(HG) that is.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Sydney - I haven't read The Hunger Games.

Rhonda - Just give it to us now ffs LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  110. But seriously, why is it taking so long?

    ReplyDelete
  111. Rhonda - How many books are there in that series? And have they all been commissioned to be made into movies?

    ReplyDelete
  112. Leni - I ask myself that EVERY day LOL.

The Australian distributor said they are looking at a first quarter of 2012 release for definite. So I'd assume it will be the same for us in Europe.

    ReplyDelete
  113. @Claire:
Hopefully..this movie will do things to me..PMSL

    ReplyDelete
  114. Claire- There are 3 books, but I'm not sure about the movies...

    ReplyDelete
  115. Leni - Hopefully!! LOL

    Rhonda - Thanks

    ReplyDelete
  116. @Claire:
    Definitely! ;)
I completely lost it at the trailer alone LOL

    ReplyDelete
  117. *Goes to watch Bel Ami trailer* Thanks Leni

  120. angelica - ''Hunger Games doesn't appeal to me''

Neither does getting discs removed :(

  122. @bcaceres30

Had they choose another actress to play Bella, and the movies could have been unbearable cheezy.
Kristen always plays her characters in a very raw and realistic way, so naturally that it doesn't look like she's acting (isn't that one of the great goals of an actor?). In the books, Bella is described as a bit awkward, introverted, emotionally restrained, unconventional, a bit cynical. She's so relatable because she's not perfect and she doesn't pretend to be. A little bit like Kristen? :) I think this was one of those fortunate cases of perfect casting. I think Kristen's portray of Bella is perfect, and I can't imagine other actress playing her.

I think it's very unfair to say that another actress would have been better than her. You can't possible know that, so... what's the point?
Besides, I think it's obvious that the great (and rare) chemistry between Rob and Kristen is one of the biggest reasons of the success of the movies. And don't forget that if Kristen wasn't casted as Bella... Rob probably wouldn't have been casted as Edward.

Rose, great post as always! (marsten... really??? LOL)
I can't wait to see Kristen and Rob together in the promo, finally!

    ReplyDelete
  123. Angelica- Evidently, Hunger Games isn't for me either. I've had the book a while now, but can't seem to get going with it..

    ReplyDelete
  124. Hi Ladies! I've read all four Twilight books (many times), all three Hunger Games books, Cosmopolis, Bel Ami, and Water For Elephants... Clearly, I need to get out of the house more often! LOL

To speak to a certain earlier poster, I would certainly classify myself as a huge Twilight book fan, and I cannot fathom anyone else playing Bella than Kristen Stewart. BTW, I also think Jennifer Lawrence was well cast as Catniss in THG.

Re: Bel Ami trailer... I felt such a level of...pride?... watching Rob's nuanced performance... Weird reaction, I know, but the truth, nevertheless!

Cosmopolis: Not a fan of the book, but that makes me that much more eager to see how Cronenberg and Robert translate it to the screen...

All done my literary & theatrical critiques :)

    How is everyone tonite?

    ReplyDelete
  125. Rose you have gotten me so excited about the next few days, just seeing Rob and Kris together will be wonderful. I have heard about the pics of them at the apartment, but haven't seen them yet. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Kris was already in LA. Rob was carrying too much luggage, some of it had to belong to Kris.

I received my copy of WFE today, and am so happy. It feels like I have been waiting for this movie for so long. You are so right, Rob was fantastic in this movie.

Take care Roselanders, and enjoy the next few days.

  126. Right on DD!

Well ladies, we have another big snow storm coming again tonight, so once again, I am off to the grocery store. This time Whole Foods. The most annoying place in the world.

    Talk to you all later!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Whoa with all the comments I thought surely we had troll visits when, in fact, it was a dissenting opinion within the tribe. Debate is good, I guess.

Angelica and Liza, It's good to see you back here. We've missed you Brits.

Rhonda, I totally agree with you. I felt sorry for Georges in Bel Ami and hated Madeline. I also couldn't get past the first Hunger Games book. I did enjoy that one but only got half way through the second.

bcaceres30, I sense that the Hunger Games is a really important series to you since you bring it up a lot. That's cool, but I don't think you should compare actresses. It's like apples and oranges, both are good and one doesn't need to outshine the other.

Freddie, I just got a new TV and Blue ray player so now I can watch WFE in all it's glory. All I need to do is hook the damn stuff up and then I'll be right there with you watching.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Hi Leni and Angelica, thanks :)
I hope my comment didn't sound too harsh, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Hi PL :)

    Bye Sydney- Stay safe..

    DD- your comment was great!

    ReplyDelete
  130. @PL i am actually not a hunger games fan. i have not even read the books and i have no plans in watching the movies. i am not a troll. i just wanted to see people's opinion about Bella's casting.

    ReplyDelete
  131. @DD i meant no disrespect to Kristen i guess i just pictured Bella differently. i thought her acting was good in Twilight and New Moon, but i did not like her acting in Eclipse.

    ReplyDelete
  132. bcaceres30, Sorry, I made an assumption because over the last few weeks you have brought up Hunger Games quite a bit. I don't feel that everyone who comments here has to be a Kristen fan as long as they are respectful. That being said, I think everyone needs to acknowledge that without Kristen there would have been no Rob because it is doubtful that he would have had the same chemistry with someone else. So it might have been Ashley Greene and Shiloh Fernandez and I just don't see that as a nearly as exciting match up. So because of Kristen we have the series that everyone loves so much.

I need to go now. My celebrity crush of Mark Harmon and NCIS is now starting.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Hum...good evening Roselanders!
Rose LMAO You don't know how perfect was the timing for this post...oh wait, you surely do LOL

  134. @pl get out off town i love NCIS and Mark Harmon. i already saw the episode. its amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I don't know what I have missed. I was reading the comments and could not believe all the negative remarks about Kris.

Kris is a remarkable actress. Twilight would not have succeeded without Kristen--no Kristen, no Rob. Rob and Kris were wonderful, and Twilight would not have been successful without them.

I love Kristen. You are entitled to your opinion, but keep it to yourself, if you don't like her.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Popping my head back in to see if we are still having fun. :D

Hi PL - You make a good point about Rob not being cast were it not for Kristen. I'd take it a step further and say that Rob wouldn't have even auditioned if Kristen hadn't already been cast as Bella.

They really are the perfect and only Edward and Bella.

    ReplyDelete
  137. angelica, dottie, Liza, Leni, Claire, Rhonda, PL, Sydney, and Freddie: Some of my fav regs are on tonite, and the English contingent is well-represented!! <3

dd: Not too harsh, at all :)

Robert: Wherver you are, sending lots of healing thoughts your way... hope the surgery went even BETTER than planned!

I think I missed bcaceres, BarbaraFenwick, Groovie, Kay, Katy, kstewrocks, sami, ladyfallow, and i'm sure a bunch of you fine ladies (and gents?)...

Rose, You have the patience of a saint, the dry wit of a cartoonist, and the irreverence of Jon Stewart.

Smitty, Syd, and Gruff... your loyalty to one another is a sight to behold ((hugs))

    ReplyDelete
  138. @bcaceres30

Ok, that's your opinion and I respect that...
But to know other people's opinion about Bella's casting you could have just... asked!

No need to be harsh about Kristen... I mean, "the worst thing about twilight"... really? That's a horrible thing to say.

    ReplyDelete
  139. @dottie:
I also don't think he would have turned up for the audition. He said in various interviews that he wanted to work with Kristen since seeing Into the Wild.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Leni, It's a great story, isn't it?

    Hi Kenzz!

    ReplyDelete
  141. Good evening Roseland.

@Bcaceres: Well that didn't take long did it....a few weeks here pretending and now backtracking. Typical!

Would say I am disappointed but I'm truly not........kind of saw the direction you were heading in a few comments back.

For your information......Kristen Stewart is one of the best things about Twilight.

I really can't tolerate people who come here pretending to be one thing and turn out to be something else entirely!

    ReplyDelete
  142. Leni and dottie: Hi! I know I'm sappy, but I've already said that paring of Kristen & Robert as Bella & Edward was meant to be...

    ReplyDelete
  143. Hi Rhonda!!! Have you had a good day?

    ReplyDelete
  144. Muse - Thank you, no I don't think I knew that :)

    ReplyDelete
  145. @dottie:
It IS a really great and sweet story!

    Hi Annie :)

    ReplyDelete
  146. Hi Muse and Annie!

Annie: I hate to be so cynical, but I kind of have to agree with your assessment...

    ReplyDelete
  147. @Kenzz:
I am sappy that way too & I really believe that it was meant to be!

    ReplyDelete
  148. Hi Leni. :) How are you?

Hi Kenzz, Angelica, Rhonda, Dottie, Claire, DD, Freddie.......

    ReplyDelete
  149. Dottie- Yes, thanks. How are you? I read you had quite a few trick or treaters ;)

    ReplyDelete
  150. Hi Annie - I have to agree. They can only keep it up for so long

    ReplyDelete
  151. Hi Annie, Muse, Barbara, dd & Kenzz :)

    ReplyDelete
  152. @Annie:
    I can't complain, thanks :)
    How are you?

    ReplyDelete
  153. Forget Muse.....Hi Muse. :)

Hey Kenzz. How are you?.......Me too but I believe what I wrote. Standing by it.

    ReplyDelete
  154. @Annie, yep... I agree!

People should at least respect Kristen for her devotion and passion for the saga. She gives her best. It's so easy to criticize, isn't it? -____-

    ReplyDelete
  155. Kenzz, They do seem sort of destined, don't they?

Twi wasn't on my radar until I happened to watch it on HBO. Rob and Kristen's performances and chemistry really surprised me and made me want to see New Moon - Eclipse wasn't out yet. It was much later that I got around to reading the books. By then Kristen was Bella to me and the Bella in the books just seemed sort of flat.

I wasn't at all surprised when I heard that Rob and Kristen were possibly a RL couple. And then when I read about the audition and saw some interviews.... my cold black heart was forever melted! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  156. Leni: I had a great day thanks up until I read the BS by Bcaceres!

    ReplyDelete
  157. Now that I've given my testimonial...

Rhonda, We had an incredible amount of Trick or Treaters! It was fun though. I love talking to kids.

Hi Annie, Muse, DD, and Barbara! How much do we love Barbara? She is our rock!

    ReplyDelete
  158. @dd:
It is easy to criticize.. some people forget how much hard work goes into making a movie and Kristen is definitely one of those actresses that takes everything to heart and is constantly pushing her limits - if some people think they could do it better or know which actress could do a better job.. well good luck with that LOL

    ReplyDelete
  159. Annie & dd- agree with you both :)

Dottie- Me too, and I love to see their costumes. So cute...

    ReplyDelete
  160. @Leni

Exactly! Don't like her, fine, but at least respect her hard work...
Man, those comments really pissed me off, lol.
I have to agree with Annie, something is definitely off...

Hi Rhonda, Dottie, Barbara, Muse, Annie, Kenzz and Muse :)

    ReplyDelete
  161. dd - They always start with passive aggressive comments and then their real agenda starts to show...

    ReplyDelete
  162. Rhonda, It's pretty rural here so I'm thinking they just don't have much else to do. There is a real community feel and everything is such an event here. I told my husband it feels like we live in Mayberry! LOL It is taking some getting used to. My sons are having a bit of an adjustment to not living in a larger city - hence the drive to Chattanooga for a concert a few weeks ago. At least there are several larger cities w/in driving distance.

    ReplyDelete
  163. @dd:
I toned down my comment. That was the milder version of what I wrote originally! :)

    I have to give a shoutout to Rose's post........Again a brilliant one!

    ReplyDelete
  164. @Angelica

Yep... After reading Rose's blog for more than 2 years, I should know better, lol!

    ReplyDelete
  165. dd, angelica, Annie: It's starting to become... obvious!

    True colors always surface...

    ReplyDelete
  166. dd- You're right, not liking her is one thing, but don't negate how much effort she puts into every role she takes on..

Angelica- it always plays out the same way, doesn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  167. @Kenzz:

Oh yes!....So very, very obvious! :)

    ReplyDelete
  168. Dottie- I love Chattanooga. One of my favorite used book stores is there. Plus, there's a great bakery I love to get cupcakes from :)

    ReplyDelete
  169. Rhonda, She puts so much into her roles. To the point where I wished she'd dial it back a little since she's getting herself injured!

    ReplyDelete
  170. Rhonda, My 17 yr old wants to move there. His brother says he moving to Nashville. Next thing you know they will be wearing orange and singing "Rocky Top!" :D

    ReplyDelete
  171. dottie & Rhonda: It's sooo .... obvious... how much time, effort, and heart Kristen puts forth on every project!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  172. Hey there Annie, Claire, dottie, Kenzz, Rhonda, dd, Leni, Angelica, Barbara, PL, and everyone on earlier that I may have missed.

It’s a party! On second thought…no not really. I go away and come back thinking I’ve missed all the fun and then find out you’ve been engaged in some “interesting” discussions.

Claire – thanks for the suggestion on the Blue-Ray for WFE. Regrettably, I don’t have a Blue-Ray player, so I’m stuck with older technology. At least I finally have a flat screen TV and can enjoy the beauty of WFE in all its glory.

PL – good luck in setting up your new TV and Blue-Ray. Or isn’t that what husband’s are for? Once done, you can sit back and enjoy as well.

dottie – love the story about your son returning in a banana costume. LOL

There is no question that the combined team and extraordinary chemistry between Rob and Kristen made Twilight what it is. No question. And Kristen is a wonderful, engaging Bella - beautifully portraying all her vulnerabilties and inner strength. I doubt they could have found anyone else with as much passion and love for the character. We lucked out with both them.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Great post, cute emoticons! These people who run amok...I just don't know about them anymore. They really have no self preservation on that sinking ship of theirs.

As for Kristen's acting. I honestly don't understand how someone can say Kristen isn't talented. I would guess that anyone who says that has only seen her in Twilight and nothing else. She has so much range that other women in HW (especially in her age bracket) lack.

It's a damn shame that people limit themselves in seeing what a wonderful actress she is.

Happy to finally get WFE on DVD. It's one of those magical films.

Bel Ami- I believe I will be melting like butter when it comes out. Something about that character and a french accent to boot!

Mr. Sturridge- That quote made me smile. He really lives loyalty (if that makes any sense). He's a cool cat...
