Rob and Kristen-- Nothing Cannes Keep Them Apart

CONGRATULATIONS TO
ROBERT
KRISTEN
THOMAS.

Cosmopolis and On The Road
were phenomenal at Cannes!!
They both received standing ovations!

I'm thrilled.
I'm proud.
I'm ecstatic.

And so I ask...
Can Cannes get any better?

Let's start with the basics.
Robert.
Walking.
Sunglasses.
And best of all?
He looks HAPPY.
Isn't Happy Rob... just glorious?
Hasn't he earned every accolade...
Every word of praise?
He's in one of the most gorgeous spots in the world...
His latest movie is being honored
He is getting glowing reviews
And.
And.
Yes.
His love...
Is there to share it with him.

We all saw when Rob walked the OTR Red Carpet
in support of our dear Kristen and Thomas...

And what did they give in return?

Brillance.

PERFECTION.

Honestly.
I feel like typing in all shouty caps!
This is in my top 2 favorite looks of Kristen
ALL TIME.
And I have to say 2 only because right now my
brain is a bit mushy and I can't possibly recall
every red carpet look in the past.
But my god.
LOOK AT HER.
She is sexy and stunning
and that dress.
That fucking red dress.
It fits her perfectly.
And the color?
I've said it before that she should wear red...
it suits her.
I love this dress.
And I don't say that about dresses very often.
I'm not a dress kinda person really.
I'm a jeans/t-shirt kinda person.
But this dress.
THIS dress.
The lace.
The cut outs.
The low cut front.
And the back.
There isn't anything I don't like about this dress.

Any truth that Robert helped pick it out?
Because I believe it.
That is definitely a dress a guy would want
his sexy beautiful girlfriend to wear at his premiere
on one of the most important nights of his life.
Yes.
I believe it.

And.
What do I even say to this?
I thought the OTR stuff was awesome.
Oh I was wrong...
Kristen in ravishing red
and Tom... handsome in black
and are they not the sweetest friends EVER?
Rob had to walk with his cast...
So who better to look after his girl?
His best friend.
And what a fine job he did.
He stood by her.
He held her hand as she walked up the steps.
He hugged her.
He was there for her.
He was her friend.
They are so damn adorable.
If you look up adorable in the dictionary...
The above picture would be next to the word.

And after all that...
When I thought my emo self couldn't take anymore...
What to my wondering eyes should appear?

Robert Pattinson.
Resplendent in his black tux...
Looking as handsome as I have ever seen him
and a smile on his face
A smile of such joy and happiness.
How can you not smile in return?

Smiling AND Walking.

The day was overwhelming.
The feelings it brought out in me...
Well
I haven't been this giddy and excited in quite some time.
I was clicking and saving like a lunatic!
I'm not sure why this was so different...
except maybe the feeling of pride.
And on some level I realize it sounds kinda odd
to talk about being proud of actors...
But I feel like I've been on this long journey with Robert.
I feel like I was there in the beginning.
I've watched him grow as an actor.
I've watched him get better with each movie
I've watched a boy
become a man.
And yeah.
I'm proud of him.

Robert being happy...
Makes me happy.
and guess what?

Who is the person he most wants to share his happiness with?
Yes.
Kristen.
He walked over to her almost immediately...
And look at them.
Both so happy and proud
Both there to support the other.
Being intimate and loving
and in the moment.

So yes.
I feel a lot of emotions.
But mostly happy.

Which brings me to my final thoughts.

Robert and Kristen were seeing kissing
and holding hands
and snuggling
and together the whole time she was in Cannes.
So that makes the Hyenas
Hungry.

It makes the Hyenas
Vicious
Even more so than usual.

They are angry now.
They are so bitter.

They are disgusting scavengers.
Feeding off lies and innuendo.
Foaming at the mouth
ripping and shredding
at both Rob and Kristen.
And why?
Because Rob and Kristen were together
in public view...
Being Rob and Kristen.
Being happy and in love.
Just living their lives.
Good reason, huh?

Someone asked me why the sudden PDA?
Didn't I find that odd?
Sudden? Really??
There have been a lot of pictures since the beginning
and people who were with them
talking about Rob and Kristen behaving
the SAME EXACT WAY
for years.
People who come across them in bars
at concerts
restaurants
So many people have tweeted about it
people have reported it
and people have written about it.
So no.
Its not SUDDEN.
At all.

You have eyes, huntsman...
But you do not see.

Blinded by jealousy
(yes you are consumed with it)

It's been there all along.
Right in front of your face.

You have to be getting tired of being wrong
ALL
THE
TIME.

Even your excuses need excuses...
That's how desperate and pathetic
your rationalizations have become.

So...

This post is brought to you by Cannes (again)

And I leave you with this...

Bwa.Ha.Ha.Ha.Ha.Ha.

You don't even need fucking words.
Except...
BRILLIANT.

Thank you Cannes.

Until next time

Bye for now

  2. Wonderfully said!

Cannes has been brilliant! Rob and Kristen looking all kinds of happy and loved up. He was rocking that tux & she was sexy in red, with their bestie by her side. Tom is very sweet with Kristen, its cute to see.

I don't feel sorry for the idiot haters at all, but it must fucking suck to be them. Both Cosmopolis and On the Road were received well and Rob and Kristen both got high praise for their talent. Throw in the happiness and PDA and them there being proud and supporting each other...the psychos must be imploding.

Hope Kristen had a safe flight and Rob is safe in his travels this next week.

Hi to all the regs, hope u all have a wondeful saturday! :)

  3. Happy sighs...love this post. They were gloriously happy and that makes me smile so big.

With acceptance comes peace (and a happy heart). If they don't want to accept what's right in front of them then they are just being twats.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend Roseland!

  4. Perfect timing! I was hoping you'd write today, Rose.

I'm so thrilled for Rob, Kristen, and Tom. They deserve every bit of praise!

It makes me happy that no matter how many wonderful things happen in their careers, Rob and Kristen never seem to lose sight of what's really important - each other. They are very special.

And yes, I can totally believe that Rob helped choose that red dress. Va va voom! :)

Hello to the regs. Hope you're enjoying the weekend. We need to plan another chat soon to catch up and revel!

  8. Rose!
So glad you posted again today - after the Cosmo awesomeness!

Rob, Rob - just brilliant. So very proud of his accomplishments! He is definitely making a name for himself.

And Kristen - what a beautiful, loving young lady. Bursting with pride for her man - it just brought tears to my eyes to see them together after the premiere.

And Tom - sweet Tom. Best Friend EVER!

I'm so glad I don't see the haters comments until you curse them here. I would probably throw my computer/tablet/phone across the room.

Cannes was a triumph. Very proud and excited for all!

  9. You belted it right out of the park, Rose. A Grand Slam...with the bases loaded.

I told Chris this morning that my enjoyment, and downright pride over the kids' accomplishments personally and professionally puts this fandom light-years beyond any fandom I've participated in before. It'll be intriguing to see if this goes the distance....because they're only just beginning, their careers and their lives.

I have to wonder, Cannes has been such a dizzying experience even for us at second, third, and fourth hand. What must it be like for them? I guess I need to add raw courage to their already impressive pile of attributes.

As for the hyenas...ignore, ignore, ignore. They're irrelevant now, and they have been for four long years. The fact that they don't know it makes no difference. They're sad little people living sad little lives in a sad little fantasy world.

  10. This has been the most wonderful week I have had in a long time. I am so proud of Robert and Kristen, and so happy their movies did so well. They both looked so happy just being together. You can see the love they share, and I could not be happier.

Looking forward to whatever comes next.

Take care Roselanders, enjoy your holiday.

  11. This is one of the best statements about Rob I have ever read which sums him up as many see him:

    SOURCE
    http://robstenation.blogspot.com/2012/05/french-cosmopolis-distributor-praises.html

French Cosmopolis distributor, Pierre-Ange Le Pogam praises Rob.

"A little word about Robert Pattinson, he's attracting all the attention today and he took a lot of risks by working with David Cronenberg.

Do you think he succeeded on his big break since Twilight and that he became a credible actor when it comes to cinema?

It's obvious that he's a big start when you see the crowds he draws in on the croisette. He's a huge star but he's incredibly serious, an extraordinary movie fanatic and he's incredibly intelligent compared to the image the media tried to paint him with for a few years now.

He's such a wonderful boy, he's a movie star in the popular cinema for sure but he belongs in the auteur cinema too, in such a natural way. He's an amazing guy!

He has looks that help him become an actor but he uses them, put them on a different level. It's all about his spirit, his heart and the emotions he has that talk and express themselves in this movie. He doesn't show off/uses his looks. He's really, really good."

And there is just something so endearing about the way R and K enter act with each other ...I see now from the video what people in the know have been saying....they are so in love...it is precious and rare and awe inspiring!

  14. Ditto to everything you said Rose.
The red dress was perfection. I love the picture of her with Rob in the theater. The beautiful girl in red in a sea of black. They are so incredibly sweet. You have to be quite the cynic to not see it.
Congratulations to each of them and what a week!

  15. Dear Rose,
Wonderful post! Thank you. Just got in a bit ago from spending the day in Austin and was so pleased to see that you updated today.

This 2012 Cannes Festival will go down in the history books. So happy and proud of Rob and Kristen.

Hope that Kristen will be able to catch her breath now that she is back home. Rob, alas, still has many miles to cover with more promotions. Bless them both. This part of an actor's life appears to be sheer insanity at times.

Have a wonderful evening, dear Roseland.
    Hugs for y'all.
Hugs for Smitty, Gruff and Syd.
    Life is good.

Hope all is well with everyone. It's been a crazy two months but it is going to be an even crazier summer. I've missed chatting with you all, I hope to have more time to get on here more again, but until next time I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend.

That red dress is definitely the most stunning I've ever seen Kristen wear :)

  20. Wonderful post, Rose!! Agree with every thing you said.

These have been the most amazing days...more than I ever expected. At the Cosmopolis premiere, Rob looked GLORIOUSLY HANDSOME in that tux and Kristen was out of this world GORGEOUS, that red dress is definitely one of my favourite, she has ever wore and Thomas also looked quite HANDSOME in his tux.

I am beyond happy that both Cosmopolis and On the Road were received so well and that Rob and Kristen are receiving such wonderful reviews, they deserve every single one of them and I can even begin to say how SO very proud I am of them.

Congratulations to Rob, Kristen and Tom!!

Congratulations to Rob, Kristen and Tom for their amazing success at Cannes.

There are so many indelible images and memories of Cannes. The pics of Kristen in her dazzling red dress on the red carpet and in the theatre supporting Rob are my favorite.

I see that Rob, David C. are on the list of attendees for the final ceremony today. Fingers crossed...GOOD LUCK, Rob!!!!
The cast of OTR should be there too...that's okay....I will wait for the Oscar nominations instead!

  26. Hi Rose & Roseland,

Hope everyone is having a nice Memorial Day weekend. I was sorry that Rob and/or Kristen didn't get any awards at Cannes but it was still a wonderful thing for both of them.

Of course, it was EPIC for all of us. When watching the balcony video (several times, I might add) I can't help but recall what Kristen said a couple of years ago about their relationship. Upon being asked if it wouldn't just be easier for them to go ahead and admit it, she said something like no, that wouldn't help, that people would want to know MORE!!! SO, while watching the video and dying to know what they were saying to each other, it reminds of her words and I feel like tucking my tail and looking the other way.

I want to respect their privacy (they have so little of it) the way they appear to respect each other. They ARE the real deal.

Thanks, everyone, for being here, it helps that we're here for each other. I hope the "nonnies" don't get too nasty.

NOW, for icing on the cake, will be fun for us all if they both show up for MTV awards, whether they win anything or not .....

"Amour" or "Holy Motors?" Michael Haneke or Jacques Audiard? Marion Cotillard or Nicole Kidman?

The race for the Cannes Film Festival's awards is in the homestretch, and as usual only nine jurors really know what's liable to happen. But that doesn't stop others from guessing. Eric Kohn of indieWIRE, for instance, says the top five contenders for the Palme d'Or are "Amour," "Holy Motors," "On the Road," "Like Someone in Love"  and "Rust and Bone." (Three of the five – "Amour," "Holy Motors" and "Rust and Bone" – seem reliable bets, the other two significant longshots.)

On the Guardian website, meanwhile, writers Xan Brooks, Peter Bradshaw, Charlotte Higgins and Andrew Pulver rehash the festival and make predictions. Their consensus: Leos Carax's wacky "Holy Motors" (left) winning out over Michael Haneke's more subdued "Amour."

Also read: Cannes 2012: 'Holy Motors,' Holy S#*!

On Screen International's "Jury Grid" – in which the jury is made up of film critics, not actual jury members – the decided edge goes to the Haneke, which has an average score of 3.3 (out of a possible 4) to a 2.0 for "Holy Motors." Cristian Mungiu's "Beyond the Hills" ties "Amour" for the top with another 3.3, while Jacques Audiard's "Rust and Bone," Thomas Vinterberg's "The Hunt" and Andrew Dominik's "Killing Them Softly" all score 2.9 averages.

(Those scores did not include rankings for David Cronenberg's "Cosmopolis" or Sergei Loznitsa's "In the Fog," but neither film seemed likely to break into the top tier.)

As of Saturday morning, only two movies remained to be seen. One is Jeff Nichols' "Mud," the director's return to Cannes after winning the Critics' Week and FIPRESCI awards for "Take Shelter" last year. The director agrees with Nigel M. Smith that this is his most lighthearted and mainstream work, and adds, "I hope the buyers think it is."

The final film to screen will be Im Sang-soo's "The Taste of Money," an erotic drama from South Korea.

Once those screenings have concluded, it'll be in the hands of the  jury. Five men and four women; five directors, three actors and one fashion designer. Average age: 50.

With the caveat that Cannes juries are always difficult if not impossible to predict, here's TheWrap's take on some potential outcomes:

    THE SAFE CHOICE: "Amour"

Michael Haneke's understated look at aging and dying has been generally acclaimed as the festival's best film, and Haneke is a proven commodity who won the Palme d'Or three years ago for his last film, "The White Ribbon." On the other hand, only one of the six previous two-time winners (who include Francis Ford Coppola, Bille August and the Dardenne brothers) won with back-to-back films, "Pelle the Conqueror" and "The Best Intentions" – and even then, he'd done a TV miniseries version of "Best Intentions" in between.

Still, the themes of Haneke's film could resonate with a jury that contains only one member under 40.

Is to love, love, love him
    Just to see that smile,

    To know, know, know him
Is to love, love, love him
    And I do, I do, I do

Oh, I'll be good to him,
    I'll bring joy to him
    Oh, everyone says
    There'll come a day
When I'll walk alongside of him

To know him is to love
    Love, love him
And I do, I really do, I do

    Why can't he see,
    How blind can he be
    Someday he'll see

I hear you, loud and clear, for it's a fine line in situations like these. As we don't control the flow of pics, vids or info. Yet, we still get their backs here, don't we? :-)

  32. Together Wherever We Go

    Bernadette Peters/John Dossett/Tammy Blanchard :
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvZc_XHezL8

    Wherever we go
    Whatever we do
    We're gonna go through it
    Together

    We may not go far
    But sure as a star
    Wherever we are
    It's together

    Wherever I go
    I know he goes
    Wherever I go I know
    She goes

No fits, no fights, no feuds
    And no egos
    Amigos, together!

    Through thick and through thin
    All out or all in
    And whether it's win
    Place or show

    With you for me
    And me for you,
    We'll muddle through
    Whatever we do
    Together, wherever we go

    Wherever we sleep
    If prices are steep
    We'll always sleep
    Cheaper together

    Whatever the boat I row
    You row
    A duo

    Whatever the row I hoe
    You hoe
    A trio
    And any I. O. U.
    I owe
    You oh

    Who, me-oh?
    No, you-oh.
    No, we-oh.
    Together!

    We all take the bow
    Including the cow
Though business is lousy and slow

    With Herbie's vim
    Louise's verve
    Now all we need
    Is someone with nerve

    Together
    Wherever
    Together
    Wherever we go

    We go in a group
    We tour in a troupe
    We land in the soup
    But we know
    The things we do
    We do by threes

    A perfect team
    No, this way, Louise!
    Together
    Wherever
    Together, wherever we go!

    Thank you/MirdieMird

  34. Hi DK and any others who check in!

Today has been a good one. My son graduated from high school and we surprised him w/a new car. He was completely shocked and so excited. Good times!

I'm still smiling from all the happiness and success we've witnessed these last few days at Cannes -- and soon we will finally be able to see SWATH. It seems like they've been promoting it forever!

I'm just passing through but wanted to wish those who celebrate a Happy Memorial Day tomorrow.

Hugs and lots of love to all!

    Happy Memorial Day!

  42. Hi Everyone, I hope you had a great weekend.

I feel incredibly proud of both Rob and Kristen,it's been so gratifying to see their work being so well received at Cannes, particularly so early in their careers. You have to wonder what lies ahead for them since I'm sure the best is yet to come for both.

It was incredibly touching to see their happiness in each others achievements and in their lives together - As much as they guard and value their privacy and understandably so,I've got to admit, I'm relieved for their sakes to see them just relaxing a little and living their lives.Given that they're each others No.1 fan, they should be able to support each other without worrying about who's watching.

I didn't think Kristen would top the London premiere gown but that red dress was an absolute show-stopper, she looked incredible from head to toe and we could all do with a friend like Tom!

Dottie - Congrats on your sons graduation, he must be so thrilled with his new car :)

  44. Morning everyone!! What a wonderful week Cannes was...those that don't see it that way, well, I feel sorry for them. What I saw last week was two beautiful, talented people getting the recognition they deserve. And best of all, they got to do it together. The pride they showed for each other was overwhelming. I agree with Rose, I too feel so proud of them. It is strange, because I don't know them. But I am a fan, and as their fan, my admiration and appreciation of them grew last week. Both Rob and Kristen are so mature, smart and articulate, not to mention lovely, I just am bursting with happiness at their successes.

We had our own success this weekend - my eldest graduated from high school on Saturday! woohoo!!!So, where I'm sitting, all is wonderful and "rosy"!! lol

I hope all have had a marvelous Memorial Day weekend. I sure have. I am so looking forward to watching these two very talented young people continue to amaze us. The future is bright indeed!!!

  46. Oh, I did want to add this, and it's been said many times, but I don't think I've ever seen Kristen more resplendent than she was Friday night! OMG!! Red is gorgeous on her, and she looked ah-mazing. Sheer perfection...

ok, that is all for now! I could go on and on and on!!!

CONGRATS to you and your family too!!!

  49. Dear Rose and Roseland,

Wishing all a wonderful Monday and week ahead.

Congratulations to Dottie and SJJW and their sons. Graduation is one of those monumental, happy moments in life. Sending my best wishes and "felicitaciones" to the graduates!

Still smiling, twirling and filled with pride over Cannes!
Bravo! Bravo! Bravo....dear Rob and Kristen and Thomas !

    Hugs for y'all.
Hugs for Smitty, Gruff and Syd.
    Life is good.

  50. Good Morning to all of you Roselandians!

Dottie! Congrats to your son! And a new car - wow! I know he is thrilled! Is he off to college in August, and if so, near or far?

Same to you, sjjw! And will yours be going off to school?

Super, I am never one to criticize my friends' spelling, grammar, etc - so no worries (although I did pin something to one of my Pinterest boards yeaterday that had a mispelled word - and I had to place a disclaimer in the comment space. Sometimes I embarrass myself)!

Still recovering from the Cannes goodness - LIZ, I feel the same at times. Should I look, should I pass it by? It's so hard to resist!

Have a great day - a restful, relaxing Memorial Day to all of the US inhabitants of Roseland, and a very Happy Monday to all others!

  51. Hey RL gang,

Just popping by to offer my congrats to Dottie and SJ and their boys on this momentous occasion! What an exciting time in their lives!

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. We are dealing with a tropical storm but it isn't as bad as they predicted thankfully (or at least not yet).

Olivia, IB and LitMom (and any toher teachers out there)- Good luck to all of you as you wind down the school year. Wishing you endurance to the finish line!

For Kristen and Rob may they be granted more energy as they finish up the last leg of promo over the next month. It's been a bit crazy for them I'm sure.

Happy Memorial Day for those observing and a non manic Monday to all the rest! Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Hi Litmom! To answer your question, my boy is going to a local college, so we have a little longer w/him in the nest. ;)

Melinda, Hope the weather doesn't mess up any Memorial Day plans.

Thanks to everyone for the graduation congrats. I'm sure SJ agrees - you all are the sweetest, most encouraging cyber pals anyone could hope for!

  53. Dottie and sjjw - congratulations to you and your sons :)

  54. Good afternoon RL friends! I haven't commented in awhile but I try to keep up with events here. Cannes was a delight to follow this year. I love movies so try to keep up with the proceedings every year but this year was special because of an interest in 2 of the participants. I hope we will have many more years of following their careers. And I too agree that red is definitely Kristen's color. She was glowing but perhaps the event had something to do with that.

Dottie and SJ, Congrats again on the graduating sons. Having both a son and daughters, for some reason my son's accomplishments resonate more strongly with me. It's that mother/son bond, I think.

    Olivia,
Did you enjoy the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel? I saw it this weekend and really enjoyed it. I must say there were quite a few grey heads in the audience, almost everyone actually, except myself, of course.

Happy Memorial Day to all who observe and thank you to our military families both past and present.

    ReplyDelete
  55. PL. Hi... I'm so glad you stopped by and I agree with your assessment of Cannes. I'm not familiar with the movie you mentioned to Olivia. I will have to look it up!

DOTTIE and SJJW...Please accept my warm congrats as well on your son's graduations!!!!

DK...I'm sorry I missed you too...I will catch you FGM...I always do eventually!

Happy Memorial Day to ALL....I hope it is a wonderful day!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Sj- I'm so sorry, didn't mean to leave your son out. A big congrats to him on his graduation!

Hi everyone- I hope you all enjoyed a nice day..((Hugs))

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thank you Melinda. Only 3 more days of classes with the students and one teacher workday until the end of the school year. Can't believe that another year has flown by so quickly.

PL - Very much enjoyed the Marigold movie. All the actors were superb and Maggie Smith, as always, was one of my favorites. In addition, I was fascinated by the location. I have recommended this movie to several people at school. And yes, the theatre was filled with quite a number of patrons of "la tercera edad" or in other words, mature adults.
    : )

Hope all the Roselanders on the SE coast have stayed safe with tropical storm Beryl.

So excited that SWatH will be here this Friday! Perfect way to start off vacay time.

    Hugs for y'all.
Hugs for Smitty, Gruff and Syd.

    (When Shadows Fall)

    Paul McCartney:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIa1PCh3NnQ

Evening brings the close of day
Skies of blue begin to grey
Crimson hues are fading in the west

    Evening ever brings to me
Dreams of days that used to be
Memories of those I love the best

    When shadows fall
    And trees whisper
    "Day is ending"
My thoughts are ever wending home

    When crickets call
    My heart is forever yearning
    Once more
    To be returning home

    When the hills
    Conceal the setting sun
    Stars begin a-peeping
    One by one

    Night covers all
    And though fortune
    May forsake me
    Sweet dreams will
    Ever take me home

    A Woman In Love

    Frankie Laine:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IGQWYKk-c1I

    Your eyes are the eyes
    Of a woman in love
And oh, how they give you away

    Why try to deny
    You're a woman in love
    When I know very well
    What they say

They say no moon in the sky
    Ever lent such glow
    Some flame deep within
    Made them shine

    Those eyes
Are the eyes of a woman
    In love

    And may they
    Gaze evermore
    Into mine

    Crazily gaze
    Evermore
    Into
    Mine

This Saturday, I'll be staying at my daw's to celebrate a belated Mother's Day with the kiddos.

And, my darlin' future newlyweds (B & J) have quit smoking today, together! I have been warned, they'll be snappy. No matter, so happy.

I'll suggest the toothpick technique for successful quitting, I recently saw somewhere..

    The Green Band:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDWhOYRfoh4

Take a look at the pouring rain
Last time it rained for forty days
Take a look at the sun that shines
    Painting colors of ribbons
    In the sky

Take a look out your window
    And take a look
At how the green grass grows
I can feel it on the inside
    I give thanks and praise
    To be alive

Together we can make some memories
    And help love grow
    And live eternally
    And spread this word

    Over both land and sea
    And help each other
    On this long hard jouney

Ever since I was a young little boy
All I needed was my families
    And toys
    And learning how to count
    From one to ten

I said my ABC's and do it all again
And I learned how to walk
And I learned how to talk
    And I learned that love
    Is what life costs

    And it still amazes me
When I look down at a keiki
And see all the things they learn
    From you and me

    Show me the way
    Teach me the part
Help me find a way back
To your mind and your heart

    Keep me alive
    And I'll keep you well
    Share a little water
From your bucket to my well

    Thank you/shootsbrah808

  64. I confess, that tonight, I posted more music on Twitter than here, and for total strangers. They called me forth.

Love ya, Rose, Smitty, Gruff, Syd & His Lovely, Roselanders and those who wonder, along with some who don't. I draw no lines in the sand.

  65. Hi all, real life had been busy and I haven't got a chance to get on to post so I'm sneaking this in at work!!

Congrats to Dottie and SJJW, good times!

I'm now enjoying all the fan vids that have been inspired by all the goodness from Cannes :0) I'm a real sucker for R&K vids.

We have the Queen's Jubilee this weekend so an extra long weekend and lot's of fun to be had to celebrate her sixty years on the throne :0)))

Also on R&K, so pleased to see they have both given up smoking, I hope they have the willpower to see it through, I think they will though as I'd imagine when they decide to do something they stick with it.

Have a great day everyone xxx

  66. Almost Gone Will Linger Long

    The Lusty Month Of May

    Vanessa Redgrave:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cg4YrOlAkds

    It's May! It's May!
    The lusty month of May!
    That lovely month
    When ev'ryone goes
    Blissfully astray

    It's here, It's here!
    That shocking time of year
When tons of wicked little thoughts
    Merrily appear!

    It's May! It's May!
    That gorgeous holiday
    When ev'ry maiden prays
    That her lad
    Will be a cad!

    It's mad! It's gay!
    A libelous display!
    Those dreary vows
    That ev'ryone takes
    Ev'ryone breaks

    Ev'ryone makes
    Divine mistakes
    The lusty month of May!

    Whence this fragrance
    Wafting through the air?
    What sweet feelings
    Does its scent transmute?

    Whence this perfume
    Floating ev'rywhere?
    Don't you know
    It's that dear forbidden fruit!

    Tra la la la la!
    That dear forbidden fruit!
    Tra la la la la!
    Tra la! It's May!

    The lusty month of May!
    That darling month
    When ev'ryone throws
    Self-control away.

    It's time to do
    A wretched thing or two
And try to make each precious day
    One you'll always rue!

    It's May! It's May!
The month of 'yes you may,'
The time for ev'ry frivolous whim
    Proper or 'im.'

    It's wild! It's gay!
    Depraved in every way
    The birds and bees
    With all of their vast
    Amorous past
    Gaze at the human race
    Aghast

    The lusty month of May.
    When all the world
    Is brimming with fun
    Wholesome or 'un.'

    It's mad! It's gay!
    A libelous display!
    Those dreary vows
    That ev'ryone takes
    Ev'ryone breaks

    Ev'ryone
    Makes divine mistakes
    The lusty month
    Of May!
