It truly is a beautiful film
No sense in anyone getting worked up about the MTVMA. Their agenda was clear from the get-go. Sure it won't be as fun without Rob there, but Kristen will go, do her duty and hopefully have some fun!
It is what it is, no bitching or complaining will change MTV's decision and it won't create a magical teleportation device for Rob so that he can go to.
Love how happy Rob & Kristen have been, good things professionally and personally will put a smile on your face!
Hope Rob has safe travels to Toronto, poor guy is probably good and ready to head home by now! Traveling is great but nothing quite like being at home and in your own bed!

Good evening everyone! I am so happy for Rob and Kristen...their success is so great to see. Of course we will miss Rob at the MMA's but at least we can enjoy Kristen. Oh, and the jerks with their tired "Kristen never smiles" crap are clearly not looking at the right pictures of her....from what I've seen, she has been glowingly happy (Rob, too.) I hope that they are going to be able to gets some rest and breathe soon after their hectic promo schedules....relax a bit and enjoy the happiness and their success. :)

I'm really happy they're trying to quit smoking. Due to my work, I've seen a 34 year old mother of two die of smoking-induced lung cancer. It was probably one of the worst work days I've ever had.

ReplyDeleteI just got home from a GNO. We went to see SWATH. Wore my purple plaid chucks so I could feel like royalty.
So SWATH...it was flippin amazing! I loved it! Visually is was stunning. Every one of the actors did a great job. Kristen especially can say so much without opening her mouth. I think she was able to use that strength for this character so well!
Well done to the cast and crew on making this film live up to the hype!! I am so ready to go back and see it at least one more time!
The reactions I've been seeing about the MMA's over the past few days has been entertaining to say the least. MTV kinda shot themselves in the foot this year and now they seem to be scrambling to appease the fandom. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the shows.
Rob and Kristen both have been crazy busy promoting their projects. I hope as soon as they wrap up this part of their job they can reconnect and get some R & R. Pretty sure they both need it!
Katy- Congrats to you on giving up smoking! Big feat!

ReplyDeleteCosmopolis is a fascinating intriguint movie. SWATH is amazing. Rob and Kristen performances in their respective movies are PHENOMENAL.
I think MMA is going to suck this year, Rob isn't there and I think that we are not even going to sse Kristen that much and I also don't think Rob and Kristen are going to win Best Kiss this year because fans are not voting as fiercely as in previous years because they are mad at MTV. But if they happen to win Best Kiss, I think Kelly idea for the acceptance very cute.

I love your post...If practice makes purr...fect( yes...I misspelled it on purpose )...then you are THERE! I agree if any two people have ever in the history of the world MADE UP THEIR MINDS...IT IS R and K!!!
In response to an earlier post about K acting like Bella or not smiling enough....it's true that we at ROSELAND are fans and when you like someone it's hard to find fault..BUT...SWATH is a very different adaptation of Snow White....IT'S NOT THE ONE YOU WATCHED WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE!!!! I am going to see it this afternoon, but I can tell from all I've read and the scenes I have seen that K is playing the role exactly as she was instructed to do. I'm not in the " industry" but I know these scenes are worked out in advance and a lot of preparation and thought goes into it. Don't blame an actor if the directors vision is different from what you expected!

ReplyDeleteI first saw SWATH on Friday afternoon at 1:30PM ( I would've done the midnight showing but after a long day, sleep was calling and I had a very early Friday morning)
and at that time the cinema was quite full with every demograhic.
I'm going to see it again on a bigger screen again today because it is that visually stunning.
I thought the cast was brilliant (everyone of them)
Kristen played Snow White as I thought she should, you felt her innocence, the good in her and her determination to defeat the Queen.
Kristen can convey so much without the need for words.
When SWATH was presented at Comi-con, I felt then that we were in for a treat and we we have been.
For a first time director, Rupert Sanders really delivered.
If you haven't seen it yet go!
If you have seen it, I think most of you are like me and want to see it again!
Not at all surprised with the great box office. :)

The cinema was packed full with men and women of all ages and everyone really seemed to like it!

ReplyDeleteWell, I saw SWATH last night and I loved it! Kristen's portrayal is everything you expect Snow White to be, but at the same time, so much more. I agree with what many of you have already said in that she expresses so much without saying a single word. She is amazing in this movie, as was the entire cast. Also, and again repeating what's already been stated, this movie is visually stunning. It's definitely one you want to see on the big screen.
Annie- I'm seeing it again next weekend with another set of friends. Can't wait!

ReplyDeleteWOW! We saw SWATH yesterday and LOVED it! Kristen was born to play this role...she completely embodies the spirit of Snow White.
Kristen has the GIFT of conveying every thought and emotion through her GORGEOUS, spellbinding green eyes. She is so beautiful on screen...just breathtaking!
My favorite moments include Kristen riding horseback on the beach...THRILLING!
Loved the Huntsman's words to Snow White when she is lying dead and he talks about his wife.
Ohhhh....and I silently cheered and got goosebumps during Snow White's finale.....THE SPEECH....EPIC!
The cinematography, costumes, music, acting....ALL of it is spectacular.
And....Chris Hemsworth...love, love him. Sam too!
Cannot wait to see Kristen tonight and disappointed Rob won't be there mainly because it has been a tradition the past 3 years.

Well,I just returned from SWATH. Rupert Sanders made a GRAND movie. It was visually stunning, exciting and all the performances were stellar. Charlize was beautifully wicked and sad. I officially have a crush on Chris Hemsworth and Sam was right up there. The costumes were amazing.

ReplyDeleteThank you again, Rose, for being OUR voice of reason in this crazy fandom of RK. I'm so happy about them quitting smoking, I used to smoke and it's a really hard thing to quit. I wonder if Tom is quitting also since he's going to be a Dad and I'm wondering if that might have something to do with RK's decision. She has friends with children and he has friends with children and they seem very respectful of others so I'm guessing they wouldn't smoke around the kids. Nowadays, life is just easier if you don't smoke.
If they win Best Kiss tonight, I'm hoping that they filmed something for all the fans, you know one of their crazy jokes OR, maybe he'll surprise everyone and show up. Would be crazy if he did since he said he has to be in Toronto tomorrow.

ANGELICA I was wondering if you did anything fun for the Jubilee. We had a "fun day" on Saturday and then went to a parade and fireworks and the lighting of a beacon yesterday.
