10 Things I Love About Rob and Kristen

 Ten things I love.
I seem to spend too much time
discussing all the things I don't like...
I thought this might be a nice change of pace.

 1. I love that Rob and Kristen can put on a pair of
dorky black frames and STILL look sexier and more
beautiful than anyone else.

 2. I love that they hold hands.
I think it's incredibly sweet
and it's a nice way to show affection.
And I also like that holding hands is their thing.
They do it all the time.
All.The.Time.
They've been doing it since 2009.
That first hand-holding pic was kind of the beginning...
And they are still going strong.

 3. I love that Rob and Kristen love animals.
Especially their adorable mutts Bernie and Bear.

I love that both of them talk about them all the time.
Talk about their dogs.
Their.
Dogs.

4. I love how Rob and Kristen's families like each other.
Seem very comfortable around each other...
No doubt the families have gotten to know each other
very well over the last 4 years.
It's sweet how both sides support Rob and Kristen.

5. I love that both Rob and Kristen are working
with some of the best people in film.
I see nothing but great things in front of them.
I can't wait to see what they do next!

(And of course... I love Rob's striped polo.)

6. I love how 'in love' Rob and Kristen are.
Seeing them so happy...
Makes me smile.

7. I love how Rob smiles around Kristen.
It lights up his whole face... his whole being.
Everything you need to know about how he feels about Kristen...
Is in that smile.

Especially the moments... where he doesn't think anyone is watching.

8. I love how Rob and Kristen support each other.
Rob goes to her premieres... she goes to his.
Cannes was a huge deal.
And there they were... front and center
to be there for each other.
And honestly...
How fucking great was Cannes?

9. I love how Rob and Kristen love Tom.
Because I love Tom...
He's shown that he is loyal and trustworthy...
and that he cares about those he loves.

10. I love how Rob and Kristen just keep living their life...
Their way.
They don't give a fuck if anyone approves.
They're happy in love
and that's all that matters.

And that brings me to my one positive/negative.

I love how Kristen owns the fucking haters.
They spend all day... every day
obsessing over her.
They can't stop.
They have to know what she is doing...
what she is wearing...
what she is saying.
It's hilarious in a pathetically psycho kinda way.
They are SO mad!!
Nothing is working out the way they thought it would!

And in the meantime...
Kristen is promoting her next movie
looking gorgeous and happy
Rob is preparing for his upcoming film
looking gorgeous and happy
They both have exciting projects coming up.
And they remain
Together.
Sharing everything.
Together.
Moving forward...
Together.

Good times ahead.
Brilliant times.

Wait and see.

This post is brought to you by the number 10.

Until next time.

Bye for now

  7. Life is so simple if one can just accept some facts. How can you look at Rob and Kristen's faces and not smile at the way they look each other? Hate makes miserable only the one who carries it.

@Robert, we keep the ones we've lost close to our hearts and there they remain alive, happy and cherished. I'm sorry for your loss.

  9. I love, love, love this post! Thank you, Rose. My heart is beating, smile on my face and so much love for Rob & Kristen. My favorites: 1. love Rob's smile, it does say it all! 2. Their hand holding, I remember seeing Paris in 2009...it was epic. 3. Their support & of each other and how in love they are...unconditional and it's theirs. They don't have a need to justify it to anyone. 4. And of course, how K, just owns the haters. I came across this @robitchford (can't remember if I spelled this correctly) see, she has Rob in her profile name yet, all her post from days on end are all about Kristen, no mention of Rob. What a sad, sad life! Obviously, K totally OWNS her!

Thank you, Rose and to all of you who keeps the connection here one that is safe and supportive. I've been following awhile but very rarely post. I love this place.

  19. Oops MARLEY.

That was supposed to say. GLAD. TO. SEE. YOU!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. GINGER & KAREN -- THANK YOU for the birthday wishes!!! What a surprise!!! I'm guessing a little birdie told y'all.

The cruise was lovely and fortunately my horrible cold didn't start until the last day so I didn't miss anything. I am really feeling down & out but it could be worse. I don't get colds often and can't take much medicine so I just have to be miserable for a few days.

I just watched KS on Craig Ferguson last night ... she is so beautiful. Getting more beautiful all the time. Am looking forward to seeing her the next couple of days.

QUESTION: IF Kristen gets nommed for either a GG or an Oscar, do we think she'll take Rob with her? He might be in Australia so my guess is maybe her Mom, Dad or brother.

Take care, all, this birthday girl is going to bed!!!

If Rob wasn't able to attend with K I would love to see her parents attend, even though they're usually pretty low key I couldn't see them not being around for something so important for Kristen. I'd love to see Robs family come to support her also.

  34. Everyone please excuse my excitement over something completely non blog related. BUT we just found out that my husband's youngest brother was just named Fire Fighter of the year and I am so over the top proud of him. He didn't have the easiest childhood, but he has turned into the most amazing man. Ok through bragging, I just felt like shouting it from the rooftop but it's too cold outside to actually do that, so....

  35. HEY KAMI!

    HOW WONDERFUL FOR YOUR BROTHER-IN-LAW:))

  38. Good morning everyone!
Looks like Kristen left LA for NY in a private jet, alone. I guess she must have landed by now. It is a bit disappointing that Rob's not with her, but the good thing is that paps didn't even get near her.
    Take care all!

    ReplyDelete
  39. KAMI congrats to your brother in law. What a job they do, thanks God for them and we should all try to remember to say a prayer for all the emergency services who do so much for us all.

Anyone else not feeling well or going through a tough time in any way.........Hang in. Hang in.

Kami: Congratulations to your brother-in-law. What a great honor for him and all of his family.

Take care everybody, it's been a busy, cold week so far. Hopefully I'll get to watch the 12-12-12 concert tonight.

I have to play catch up with all of Kristen's appearances but from the little I've been able to watch and read she's doing great and she's confirmed starring in FOCUS with Ben Affleck. Yeah!
    Haters can fuck right off!

    Here's to a wonderful Wednesday.

  46. An off topic but her response rings true:
It was front page news. :(
Last night Les Mis premiered in NYC, as it's star Anne Hathaway exited her car photographers caught pics of her and she was not wearing any undergarments.
    This was her response:
    ...........
But the night took a sour turn when a paparazzi caught the actress exiting her car in an awkward way, revealing she was not wearing any underwear.

This morning, Hathaway was asked about the incident on the Today show and she told Matt Lauer, "It was obviously an unfortunate incident [and] it kind of made me sad that we live in an age when someone takes a pic of you in a vulnerable moment and sells it rather than deletes it."

  47. Morning Ladies

@Kami - Congrats to your brother in Law

@Stella - I think we all wanted him there but they normally don't go together so it is their status qou besides she has a very packed 2 days

@Annie - it is true. The sad part is how fast those pictures got posted all over the web. Life happens and there something so wrong when people try to use it to publicly shame you. It took away from her night and that just really is so very wrong

    ReplyDelete
  48. Morning ladies and Gent

    @ Kami
Congrats to your brother in law

Not disappointed that Rob didn't go with Kristen, like Ginger said thats not how they work, just knowing he was in the car seeing her off was enough for me.

  51. I love the idea that Paul McCartney is going to be fronting "Nirvana" tonight - I just don't want to hear him sing teen spirit. That maybe a really unpopular opinion but there are just those songs you cringe when you hear someone else try to sing because the original was just owned the 1st time around. Grohl/McCartney on any other song should be win.

  52. He might show up for the NYC OTR premiere.

  53. To All Roselanders

My husband found out about a boy who is dying from Cystic Fibrosis (stage 4) he's 9 years old and his wish is to beat the Guinness Book Of World Records for receiving the most Christmas cards, he needs more help, so if anyone could send him a card that would be GREAT. You can search his story on the Internet .

  56. Hi everyone..I just wanted to thank Pam for posting Dalton's address. I will definitely be sending him a card. I hope he breaks the record.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day. I can't get over how quickly it seems Christmas is coming. Wow only two more weekends to shop. I don't think we are ever really finished we can always think of one or two things to buy but there comes a time when we have to say I'm done...I just haven't got there yet. LOL

  60. "We Need A Little Christmas"

    The New Christy Mintrels:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrLJGOh8R-k

    Haul out the holly;
Put up the tree before my spirit falls again.
    Fill up the stocking,
I may be rushing things, but deck the halls again now.

For we need a little Christmas
    Right this very minute,
    Candles in the window,
    Carols at the spinet.
Yes, we need a little Christmas
    Right this very minute.
It hasn't snowed a single flurry,
    But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry;

    So climb down the chimney;
Put up the brightest string of lights I've ever seen.
    Slice up the fruitcake;
It's time we hung some tinsel on that evergreen bough.

For I've grown a little leaner,
    Grown a little colder,
    Grown a little sadder,
    Grown a little older,
And I need a little angel
    Sitting on my shoulder,
    Need a little Christmas now.

    Haul out the holly;
Well, once I taught you all to live each living day.
    Fill up the stocking,
But Auntie Man, it's one week from Thanksgiving Day now.

But we need a little Christmas
    Right this very minute,
    Candles in the window,
    Carols at the spinet.
Yes, we need a little Christmas
    Right this very minute.
It hasn't snowed a single flurry,
    But Santa, dear, we're in a hurry;

    So climb down the chimney;
Put up the brightest string of lights I've ever seen.
    Slice up the fruitcake;
It's time we hung some tinsel on that evergreen bough.

For we need a little music,
    Need a little laughter,
    Need a little singing
    Ringing through the rafter,
And we need a little snappy
    Need a little Christmas now.

    Thank you/Bob Barry

I'm feeling really terrible, worse day so far, missed work, not much sleep last night. Going to be now, MUST open the office tomorrow even if I have the flu.

  73. One of the greatest, if not the greatest guitarist...Eric Clapton. Tonight's performers are bringing back wonderful memories for me. Have donated. I'm originally from The Great State of Maine and we sure had our share to hurricanes and snow blizzards. I feel for anyone going through this devastation of loss of life and keepsakes that can never be retrieved. You're right all the different performers coming together for such a great cause and creating one of the best concerts was amazing....something for everyone that is a music lover.

  93. Remember This

    Old Folks

    John Denver:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZA3ZIIoNayk

The old folks don't talk much
They talk so slowly when they do
They are rich they are poor
    Their illusions are gone
They share one heart for two

Their homes all smell of time
    Of old photographs
    And an old fashioned song
Though you may live in town
    You live so far away
    When you've lived too long

    Have they laughed too much
    Do their dry voices crack
    talking of things gone by
    Have they cried too much
A tear or two still always seems
    To cloud the eye

They tremble as they watch the old silver clock
    When day is through
    tick tock oh so slow
It says yes it says no
It says I wait for you

The old folks dream no more
Their books have gone to sleep
    The piano's out of tune

    The little cat is dead
and no more do they sing on a sunday afternoon

The old folks move no more
    Their world become to small
    their bodies feel like lead
they might look out a window
or else sit it a chair
or else they stay in bed

and if they still go out
arm in arm, arm in arm
    in the morning chill
its to have a good cry
    to say their last goodbye
    to one who's older still
    and then they go home
    to the old silver clock
    when day is through
    tick tock so so slow
it says yes it says no
it says I wait for you

    the old folks never die
they just put down their heads
and go to sleep one day
they will hold each others hands
    like children in the dark
but one will get lost anyway

    And the other will remain
    Just sitting in a room
    Which makes no sound
    It doesn't matter now
    the song has died away
    and echo's all around

you'll see them as they walk
    through the sun filled parks
    where children run and play
it hurst to much to smile
    it hurts so much
but life goes on for still another day
as they try to escape the old silver clock
    when day is through
    tick tock oh so slow
it says yes it says no
it says I wait for you

    the old old silver clock
    thats hanging on the wall
    that waits for us all

    Thank you/Drdinohunter

  95. Morning DK! Thanks for the tunes. Hope all is well in your world!

Life got in the way of seeing the Sandy concert, damn! If anyone knows that they will be showing this again, do you mind posting the time?

Robert and Super, so sorry for illness and loss of friends.

I am a little out of touch during this busy time, but hope you all are doing well and enjoying the holiday season.

Kristen is still on the road. This is truly not to be mean, but the contrast between Kirsten and Kristen in the OTR screening pic is quite extreme.
Kristen , you knocked it out of the park again last night. Not many women could carry off that dress and certainly not as well as you!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Morning all.
Birdie and DK.........fellow early risers. :)

Got home just in time to watch Kristen talk about the devastation in New Jersey and introduce Bon Jovi........Hell yes!
What a super night of music and every performer was just on!
It's been six weeks since hurricane Sandy hit and the work to clean up and bring some sense of normalcy for many continues.
It was so humbling to watch the 12-12-12 concert last night........The celebrities who spoke such heartfelt words for people who lost so much and communities that have been wiped out and also of the volunteers and emergency personnel who are still giving so much of their time and themselves.
    ----------
Loved Kristen in that Catherine Malandrino dress at last night's OTR screening in NYC.

    Have a great dy everybody.

  97. Hello Rose and Roseland,

Good morning, Annie, Birdie, DK :)

    Sweet post, Rose!!! Beautiful pics!!

Much love and hapiness for Rob and Kristen.

Robert, Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your friend. Hugs.

Super, I am sorry that your friend is not doing well. Thougts and prayers go out to your friend.

    Wish everyone a happy day.

PS: LOVE the new banner. ( I know that those pics, are a MAJOR intrusion...but they are really sweet and they make me smile. Sorry)

  98. Something else...........How the fuck do some people get on Twitter or any other media and criticize anyone for being part of a charity event?

There is a great line from the movie Wanted......James McAvoy's character says it: "What the fuck have you done lately."

    Is their hate that deep?

    Their lives that pathetic?

Is it because everything they've ever predicted has blown up in their faces and shown them to be nothing but hateful bitches?

The vile hate you spew does not define Kristen. It fucking defines you!

    Kristen........You go girl!

  99. Pam and Kami thank you so much for passing the word along to the firefighters and police officers. I think I read somewhere he has gotten over 600,000 cards so far. That is amazing.

Super I am so sorry about your friend. Praying for both of you during this difficult time. Hugs.

Robert still thinking of you and your loss and praying for you too. God Bless You.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Annie bravo to you....you said it all with that quote.."What the fuck have you done lately." How dare anyone set back and criticize someone for helping the needy when they're setting flat on their ass in front of a television too busy having thoughts of hate and NONE about love and charity for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. They're nothing but self centered, heartless, jealous, miserable beings that can't see past their hate of someone who has done nothing to them to take one minute out of their pathetic lives and care for others.

    Off soapbox....

  101. Last night's concert was beyond belief!!
Kristen looks smoking! Kirsten looks a little frumpy. Not saying that to be mean. I like her a lot, but she has always dressed differently. Doesn't matter; she's got Garrett! haha.

Quote from Kristen in USA Today interview:
"People think they knew a lot about me before. They know even less now. People will project whatever. It's a huge form of entertainment. As soon as you step outside your own life and look at it like that and think that you can shape something -- you need to live your life. I'm just going to live my life, actually," she says.

Oh, yeah! Our girl has ARRIVED!!

  104. Morning Ladies

@Pam - was watching the benefit and got lost in the music. I was so think of you and Karen when Jovi came on.

@Annie - they will never change their tune and it just makes them look really really bad. People are getting less tolerant of them day by day. Adam Sandler sent a big kiss to Trump (too funny)

I was proud of her - she is so shy and took on the big crowd and for such a worthy cause. So many people need help and it just compounds the situation with it being this time of year (Holiday's and Winter). There is not on single person that needs help that will look at how they got the money and say hey I don't like so and so - I won't take the help. Her name brought supporters and people donated extra because she was there - not just here in the US but across the world. That concert and everyone involved did an amazing thing

@Oneheart - They need to go outside and interact with real people - that may be why they don't get human compasion

    ReplyDelete
  105. Oneheart and Ginger: They were pissed that Kristen got to introduce Bon Jovi, who then went on to give a kick-ass performance and prior to that Billy Crystal introducing Kristen. :)

Kristen is living her life, holding her head high and looking fucking gorgeous while doing so.

Envy/jealousy and hate doesn't look good on anyone.

I missed Adam Sandler but I heard he was amazing. :) Will have to look for it on Youtube.

    ReplyDelete
  106. @ Ginger
Somehow I missed the Adam Sandler greeting to Trump, must have been during bathroom break...LOL

It was a great show I hope they raised lots of money.

I loved k dress at the screening, can't wait to see what she wears to premier

    ReplyDelete
  107. @Annie/Pam - There was so much hate towards most of the performers/presenters. I just will never get how people coming together for a good thing pisses so many people off. The motto should be stand up, put up or shut up. Helping others no matter how small or how big is helping others. None of those people had to be there but they did and people should just be grateful for that - I know the people truly effected by this that will be receiving the help are nothing less than appreciative. I live no where near this but I have people that I truly value and care about that lived through this. People I hounded daily to make sure they were doing OK and for them I appreciate everything people did last night because people that I value deeply and others that suffered will get help they need. Even if they survived unscathed maybe their community did not or someone they know suffered some form of loss.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I GUESS I'M GOING TO LIVE. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. It's quite shameful as I only have a bad cold and so many others are suffering and even dying.

GINGER, PAMH, ANNIE, 30, ONEHEART, TUF, KATY, BIRDIE and DK --- Glad everyone is here and well. We are all so LUCKY to have this wonderful place to go. We are all here because of our love of "the kids" but it has become so much more to many of us. I am planning to check-in a lot on the blog around Christmas as that is when a lot of folks need someone to talk to.

Our girl looks lovely today, like a schoolgirl at the press junket. I'm SO looking forward to seeing her on Jon Stewart tonight and also seeing the pics from the premiere.

LIZ IN LALA LAND --- TRYING TO TWIRL!!!

  109. I forgot to say that I imagine Rob was at home watching Kristen on the 121212 concert and just "beaming" at how proud he is of her. You know, it's sad, he probably wanted to do something also, phones, present, sing, whatever. BUT, so many would have said it was just for PR if both of them showed up.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Sounds like our Kristen already has or will be putting her cooking skills at work on a turkey ? Hope to see that interview from young hollywood soon.
LIZ is right see does have that school girl look with her outfit and fresh face.

    LIZ
    I hope your feeling better

    Ginger
Was all this negativity toward the benefit happening on twitter.....I seriously do not understand all the hate out there. For people to be so mean toward something that can help so many people and honor those that have went above and beyond to help already doesn't make any since but that these people are seriously unhappy and disturbed and just want everyone else to be that way to.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Kristen looked amazing in that dress! Kirsten Dunst is such a horrible dresser lol, I'm pretty sure me being a fashion whore, if I were a fan of hers I'd be mad every time I saw her clothing.

    ReplyDelete
  112. @Pam - yup on twitter/different sites doing postings - it was sad and really the people were heartless - hope they aren't the ones asking for help if they said negative things towards the people there helping.

    ReplyDelete
  113. GINGER & PAM -- Unhappy people ALWAYS want other people to be unhappy. No other explanation.

I'm more worried about that "nut" in Oregon because he doesn't fit the profile like some of the others do. The Aurora guy did fit a profile in hindsight but this guy flipped out of nowhere according to his family and friends. I wonder how many of these "haters" are on the fence before taking it step further and getting hold of some guns and doing harm.

    ReplyDelete
  114. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Let me try this again.

There are haters out there about everything. I've seen people say on a website about some child with cancer that they should just...forgive me this is horrible, but I repeating to prove how vile people are...'die and quit living off of welfare' there are hateful, vile, disgusting people everywhere. There are much bigger names out there who have more haters than Kristen and before people begin to get upset, let me finish. IF you think Kristen gets a lot of hate, you should see the hate God gets. Regardless of whether, Christian, Muslim, or Jewish, anyone who mentions "God" in just passing like "Thank God!" will get slammed. There are always going to be vermin in this world, and they will make themselves known.

Now having said that, and I do not mean this as anything other than an observation, I think Kirsten Dunst looked wonderful, as did Kristen. Just because there are two women in one picture doesn't mean we have to build up one and tear down the other. We can like both, it's acceptable.

Ok off my soap box and please NO ONE think this was directed towards any of you here...but something that has happened off the blog. So if it seems I was talking to you, please disregard because I wasn't referring to anyone who has commented here, just talking to someone who 'visits'.

    ReplyDelete
  116. @Kami - The really sad part was it wasn't just Kristen that got blasted last night (we notice more because we adore her) I am pretty sure it was a round table of hate towards everyone which just is so so so wrong. People insufferable and I think some people are just wired wrong. How do you hate a child that has anything wrong with them and God forbid they see that shit. That is the stuff that just breaks my heart and makes you wonder how people like that function in life.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Liz

I just now saw the pics of her and posted a comment on Robsten Dreams pretty much like how you think she looks. I posted that she looks like "the girl next door"...wholesome. I also said that I prefer her with less eye makeup to see her pretty green eyes. Of course, I like the smoky look if it is a special event, but sometimes even that is a little overdone. Kristen can't even have a bite to eat without some scumbag taking pics of her. Good thing her friend and HBG took special care of her.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Annie

You MUST absolutely watch the Adam Sandler "song". So true...So funny.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Ginger you're right, people have posted hurtful and cruel things about a so many people, for no reason other than they just want to get a rise out of someone else.

My niece had a procedure done that was very experimental, she had bone cancer in her femur and into her knee, the only option a few years ago was to amputate the entire leg and put in a steel rod for her to use for her prosthetic leg to attach to. It is not hugely successful and requires replacements often, so her doctor suggested a procedure that had been used a couple of times. The took the healthy bottom half of her leg and foot and moved it up, they turned it around so that her foot is now her knee. It is an amazingly cool thing. So her picture and story along with other children's stories were featured in "U.S. News and world report". Someone who had no idea how this was paid for began a write in campaign that this be stopped because it cost the tax payers a lot of money especially for a child who would most likely die anyway. He raised a big stink.

When proof was presented to this creature that all of the medical expenses for this surgery and every surgery she has ever had was paid for by my sister and brother in law and their insurance company, and they pointed out that the amount of money the insurance paid was over $1 million, he didn't care. Not at all. He just kept going about how they should let kids die rather than spend money on something so stupid.

People can be wonderful, but they can also be asses who are full of shit. People will hate on someone just because they THINK they know something about them, when in truth they know nothing.

    ReplyDelete

@Kami - yup - you can see the stupid whenever an article comes out on some tragedy/triumph and there is that one person who can't help but to say something hurtful for attention.

  127. FELLOW FANFICTION FANS: I just heard that author CaraNo's daughter has passed away, was going to be one year old on Christmas Eve. She is one of the most popular fanfic authors out there, lives in Sweden.

OMG that is so sad about CaraNo's daughter, I just couldn't imagine what her family is going through. She is one of my favorite FF authors. That kind of news should put a lot of things in perspective (HATERS) and make people grateful for everyone and everything.

Kristen brought out some color tonight :)

    ReplyDelete
  131. STELLA -- Yea, really sad about Cara. Can I ask you a question, where do you live? In the US or possibly in Europe? Am curious.

TUF -- We have to remember that cameras add weight .. in person she probably looks like a beanpole but we see a little "tummy" and it makes us wonder. Someone on Twitter said she looks like she's been drinking too many Heineken's ... She's probably been cooking some good stuff for Rob and the family, good for her eating her own cooking. Rob says she just "thinks" about dieting and it's done so she doesn't have to worry about it for her next movie until just before filming starts.

    ReplyDelete
  132. PAMH -- My friend called me crying, she had seen it on FB. I remember a year ago when she was expecting and her husband went on FB to let everyone know when she gave birth. Just awful news.

  138. I have been looking at the latest premiere pictures and I think that Kristen looks gorgeous, I think she looks softer and healthy and beautiful. I don't think she has gained weight, I think that since she is no longer visiting the gym daily as she was doing to get ready for the movie she dropped out of, the muscles that she had have soften and people think it's weight gain. I think she's never looked better.

    ReplyDelete
  139. So,it's Cara'S daughter that they're talking about that pass away.I'm praying that her family will be okay.I enjoy reading her stories in FF.

    @Liz-I'm glad you're feeling better.

    ReplyDelete
  140. KAMI -- I agree that Kristen looks gorgeous. Not sure about weight or muscles or whatever, just that she looks amazing.

Do you know what happened to CaraNos daughter ?
YES I'm still reading In Plain Sight, I really LOVE it.
As I was scanning through other FF I seen one were Edward is visually impaired but can't remember title or author.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Ladies, I'm feeling compelled to say something and I'm not meaning to offend or criticize anyone. I'm just reflecting on our gender in general. Why do we feel we have to criticize someone to build up another? We don't have to say Kirsten Dunst looks frumpy in an effort to make Kristen look better. They both dressed in the way they wanted and I'm sure both felt they looked their best.

The same goes for Kristen's look tonight. She looked happy and healthy. There are many reasons why a person looks as though they are a little heavier when they really aren't. Sometimes it's as simple as posture. Why does it always have to be a pregnancy? I don't understand how women can gossip about each other like I see happening here all the time but its hidden under what you think is support.

Again, I'm not attacking anyone, just trying to make all of us aware that our words have weight.

    ReplyDelete
  144. PAMH -- Regarding Cara, only thing I've heard is that the baby got sick very, very quickly and that they took her to the hospital yesterday with a fever.

IPS -- so glad you're loving it!!! The author will be pleased ... I hope you are reviewing? I've not heard of one where Edward is visually impaired. I do know of another story where Bella is blind. It's no longer available but I have it. Let me know your email and I'll send it to you.

    ReplyDelete
  145. PAMH -- I just emailed that fic to you, be on the look-out. I put my name in the subject.

    ReplyDelete
  146. PL -- As we've all agreed many times, we sometimes will agree to disagree. If you think that what we are doing here is gossiping, then I guess that is what we are doing. Actually, if anyone mentions anything about anyone, it is technically gossip.

I agree, and good point, we don't have to tear anyone down in order to build anyone else up. I think both ladies looked wonderful. I personally like Kirsten, I loved her in "Little Women" as Young Amy, and while I am not a fan of "interview with a vampire" my personal choice, I loved her in it. I'm proud of both Kristen and Kirsten. Lovely young ladies.

  149. Back from the concert - Falalala

My heart breaks for Cara - she is an amazing writer and I can't even imagine - not even anywhere in this world can I begin

@Pam - I have an awesome video of the kids singing it's my life - you would love it

@Liz - I hope you are feeling better

Soooo, I don't like the dress she has on tonight - not life changing and not that my opinion matters. I however love her make up, she glows when she wears earthy tones and she has the natural beautiful skin. She looks so happy these days and hopefully she gets some rest although I think I read she another event tomorrow in LA - they shuffled her non stop today with interviews, JS,premiere, and now the after party. I liked her JS outfit lots and I did hear he was very good to her. Oh and Michael Stripe was there at the premiere - Love REM love love.

@Holy - winks I am still trying to go through almost 1000 tweets - maybe some light reading once the kids go to bed - LOL JK

  150. Good evening, ladies & gents...

Kristen indeed was glowing at the OTR premiere... (read into that as you will- gossip or fun, its all the same to me when communicated with the best of intentions)

Robert, so very sorry for your loss...

Super, you are the epitome of a supportive friend...

I'm not a fanfic reader, but i have such empathy for the writer who lost her precious child recently...

DK, as usual, your song selections are uplifting, inspirational, and just all-around GOOD...

HUGS to all posters, near & far, and my best wishes to you and your families for a wonderful holiday season!

I bet they did an amazing job at the concert.
I also wasn't a big fan of the dress, her shoes were really bold...but I Loved the JS outfit and her red DM boots, if I was younger I would so want a pair.
So if Kristen has another event tomorrow do you think she's already left NY?

  157. I am sorry if anyone thinks my comments were directed to anyone who has posted here today, I'm not even sure if any of you are talking about what I said or about what someone else has said, but before heading off to bed. Speaking only about what I said, I will state again that I certainly was not talking about anything said here, but off blog, and while I can only speak with conviction about my comments, I would not be surprised if other people were addressing the same situation I was and like me, responded here rather than in a personal email with someone we have no desire to communicate with any longer. LOL I know that's as clear as mud right?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and just because there are people who did not like a dress that Kirsten was wearing is PERFECTLY ok with me, and on the same vein, I thought she looked lovely and expressed my opinion on that. It does not mean I'm right and you're wrong, it means that we are individuals and we ALL do not like the same things. And isn't it a good thing that we don't? Can you imagine how boring life would be if we all liked exactly the same thing? bleh...

The only thing I WILL say in closing is this, not that this was a problem here, but just like there are a huge contingency of people who do not like Kristen based on gossip, speculation or just because she is with Rob, there are also a huge contingency of people who mean well, who love Kristen and who are very protective over her, but in rare situations, they are so zealous in their adoration and defense of Kristen that, they sometimes tear down others to build her up.

I CANNOT and I WILL NEVER believe that Kristen would ever approve of someone doing that on her behalf. I just cannot see her being so petty, I think she is a caring person who would not like to see someone she knows and cares about put down on her behalf. I will state again, I am not talking about anything said here on this blog.

I know it's confusing and I apologize, but please no one take anything I've said personally it is not meant for those who have commented today. The person I am talking to and about knows who they are.

Good night I hope everyone has a wonderful night.

  158. @Pam - I think the pumps were the star of the outfit - the back was pretty but it took me a minute to figure out the front was shorts, like it was backwards skort? It looked retro but yeah to me it was just weird. Kristen likes to try new styles out so it is what it is however I liked the Doc's (I think they are) she changed into for the after party.

  159. @Holy - she was so cute and giggly - she just seems to feel right in her skin and in her life

  164. LIZ, it certainly is a small world, isn't it? I've very very recently realized who you are myself.
It's a very good thing that we're done with the flu, at least for a while, because I tend to get sick usually two or three times during winder LOL.

Take care, everyone and have a wonderful day.

  165. gosh, i thought end of the year meant slowdown since most people would go on vacay, instead it’s work, work & more work – ugh !

i missed the 121212 concert :( but heard it was really awesome with all the rock legends. i didn’t know so many people were hating on the concert performers/presenters. ehh, what wretched lives these people must have to focus on negativity for such a noble cause & during the christmas season at that. we donated to hurricane sandy & only pray it doesn’t happen again or if it does, that there will be people who’d care enough to set up events that would help raise money for the needy. anyway, i heard ticket sales alone raised $30M ! not surprising since madison square garden can seat 20,000 but still some of those prime tickets must have cost several thousands !

@ PL & Kami, i’m thinking along the same lines as you … & something i’ve thought about in past occasions as i start to observe a similar tone & pattern … taking a page from kristen’s “graciousness” book & a cue from Rose’s positive post & this being christmas season, i think taking shots at other people who aren’t rob & kristen, even if this is a R/K site, is uncalled-for. that’s why i like kristen even more now – no resentment, no pettiness, no mean words from her, just graciousness to everyone including those who disparaged her in the past. she’s one hell of a girl.

  166. Good Morning ROSELAND

Just a quick fly by before I go to work

KAMI. Kirsten D did a fantastic job in OTR and what a beauty!

PARKER. Hi there. Waves. I missed it also. What is wrong with people nowadays? I missed it also...hope to catch some of it on you tube ..if anybody knows a site I cold go to, please let me know.

GINGER. You are the Queen of Cyber...says DK...what say you? Where should I look for the concert?

LIZ. I'm going to wrap my bottle of perfume and put it under the tree. I WILL NOT open it til Christmas Eve...I WILL. NOT....well....maybe not:). Hope you are felling better.

KENZZ. happy Holidays to you and your family and stay warm up ere

STELLA. I am glad you are feeling better . I ,took the flu shot this year even though I am very conflicted about it, But then my mind goes back many years ago...1980.. To be exact and I had the flu for 2 weeks and wished for death...so whatever negative side effects occur from the shot I doubt it could be as bad as that.

ALI MAC. How are you? I haven't seen you on lately

Hi PAM, HOLY, TUF,BIRDIE, and anyone I may have missed

    Have a GREAT FRIDAY ALL!!

Hope you all have a wonderful week-end.

Kami-I'm pretty sure you did not think my comment had anything to do with your's...but, wanted to clarify that my comments had absolutely nothing to do with what anyone here said. My comment was about a comment about someone's child, at an event I was at this week.
Anyway...just wanted to clear that up.
    Hugs to Roseland!

  169. hey there Super, there are some bits & pieces of clips on youtube – haven’t watched them all yet. but i haven’t seen one that’s from start to finish. i guess cos it was for 5 hrs? hopefully a channel will replay it. i’ve just gotten into classic rock & “comfortably numb” is becoming a favorite – when i hear it, i just have to stop, listen & not do anything. gosh, it would’ve been so cool being at madison square listening to roger waters & eddie vedder sing it live.

  170. Morning Ladies

Super - you can go to this link and it has the performances broken down - i haven't found anything that has the concert as a whole in one video yet and I wonder if that is because they might sell it as a DVD for more funds

    http://www.youtube.com/user/fuse

Another shooting at a school and although no children were hurt they are never going to have that out of their heads. I made a comment to my boss that I am almost terrified to go in crowds right now because I fear the unstable people that really believe the end of the world is coming in 7 days and what actions they want to pull off before the 21st.

    ReplyDelete
  171. OMG - They are saying that it was not 4 people injured - it is 27 dead and 14 are children. This man went shooting in an elementary school in Connecticut

  172. Good morning everyone.

Kristen is heading home to Rob/Bear/Bernie.She's finally done with OTR promo's.

  173. Pisteuo, lol you're correct my comments weren't directed towards you, I somehow missed your comments last night and after having read them, I cannot anyone reading what you said and not completely understanding where you're coming from. I find myself getting very emotional for some reason whenever my friend tells me about her children. Seeing her love for them, makes me emotional.

On the subject of children. Have you all been listening to the latest school shooting. 20 people killed and 10 of them children. I will never, as long as I live understand who someone could do something so unbelievably evil. Shooting anyone at all is horrible but those innocent babies murdered. I can't wrap my head around this. Everyone please say a prayer for the victims, their families, friends, bystanders and those babies who witnessed this.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Ginger, I am like you shocked and heartbroken. These are LITTLE kids, how can anyone do this?

    ReplyDelete
  175. @Kami - I don't understand it at all. The count keeps going up - 27 dead 18 children. I just don't understand the world we live in sometimes. Half of us are glued to updates at work with tears in our eyes - these poor families and the poor babies. It sickens me to the core

    ReplyDelete
  176. Kami - there was another incident where 22 children were stabbed in a school in China this morning too. Children - I just don't understand and I never will

    ReplyDelete
  177. Hi Everyone

How horrendous is this news of another school shooting! and so many fatalities!!! I have no words to express how atrocious this is. Prayers for anyone affected by this tragedy..

Super thanks for asking, I'm good, just busy at this time of year. Thinking of your friend and you at this difficult time (())

    ReplyDelete
  178. From the sound of it the principle hit the PA system so that the teachers could hear the altercation so they could protect the kids. The 18 children that were killed are between the ages of 5-10 ...Babies and my heart is absolutely broken for them all.

    ReplyDelete
  179. GINGER The hairs are standing up on my neck listening to it all!!

    ReplyDelete
  180. Hi All -- God, this just gets worse all the time. I was just watching an interview with one of the parents whose child survived. She said that they told the other 20 parents at the same time that their children were dead. I can't imagine....

    ReplyDelete
  181. This is so shocking, I think the only other time I remember being as completely overwhelmed and confused was on 9/11. That someone would go into a school any school, but where the oldest child would be no more than 10 years old and begin killing is hard to wrap my mind around. This is the face of pure evil, it has to be. BABIES

    ReplyDelete
  182. KAMI -- Shocking is that only word I can find right now. I still remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard about Columbine ... And, or course, on 9/11 ...

    ReplyDelete
  183. Columbine...oh God how horrible that was, I was in a state of shock. When we found out it was students who carried that out, it was so shocking, then Virginia Tech.

Gabby Gifford's political rally...all so horrible.

THIS one is so shocking in the sense that it was an adult who did this, an adult, at least 20 years old who did this, the thought that someone could hurt an innocent Child is hard to believe but innocent CHILDREN between the ages of 5-10 is hard for me to comprehend and the last time I felt so utterly overwhelmed was 9/11. EVIL disgusting, vile cowardly act.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Kami/Liz - Columbine was really hard on me only because we 1st saw it on the monitors at work then as co-workers left in a hurry as they had children at school there and were waiting to see if they were alright. I was actually nervous for a long time to send the kids to school o 4/20 because of this. This tough - I cannot even comprehend - I 3 kids in elementary school and none of them would even know how to react in this situation and they are little kids - I would never want a kid to have to know what to do in a war zone. He may have stolen 27 lives but he destroyed the innocence of 600 people in that school and broke a nations heart. This is just beyond the realm of human understanding how you could look at a little child - a gift and harm them.

  185. Killing babies, I don't understand how this happens.

I have friends and family members who are teachers, today I'm very grateful that they are no where near this tragedy.

Waiting for guidance and praying for those suffering.

  190. Total dead now is 28. 20 children + 6 adults at school, 1 adult at another location, and gunman himself. The actual shooter was 20 and the 24 yr old brother is in custody as an accomplice.

  191. GINGER -- gets crazier by the minute. I saw the president, I swear he almost looked green, he was so upset.

  192. I'm checking out for awhile, have to run an errand to get medicine for my Dad.

    ReplyDelete
  193. The shooter shot his mother and then turned the gun on her classroom, which is where the largest number of deaths were. She was a Kindergarten teacher. 5 year olds.

As for guns, I am from Texas, I have three in my house...put away and if I need to protect myself I will....having said that, gun control, putting in safeguards to keep people who are mentally ill or criminals from buying guns, or by making someone wait 7 days to get a gun, might prevent a tragedy since someone has time to calm down during that time. Like I told my husband a few minutes ago in an argument about this...how can telling someone law abiding citizen that they need to wait a few days to pick up their gun be wrong?

I am frankly sick to death of hearing people say "IF guns kill people then pencils cause kids to fail tests, spoons are responsible for people getting fat" I've never once seen a pencil or a spoon go off accidentally and kill anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  194. I've been shopping with hubby all day and hadn't seen any news so until I checked in here and seen the post I had no idea about the shootings....soooo sad...it makes you almost scared to let your children leave the house :( I don't understand what is going on in this world, there have been so many tragedies happening and to envolve helpless children...tragic

    ReplyDelete
  195. My heart goes out to all of you in the States. I had my own nightmare in 1998 when 35 people were killed in Tasmania and some children were actively targeted by the gunman. It took the community a long time to recover and many are permanently scared. I never liked John Howard as a Prime Minister but I will be forever grateful he acted decisively and brought in some of the strictest gun control laws in the world, and thank God we have never had anything remotely like this ever happen since..
