Rob and Kristen- What Matters?

I don't want to dwell on the heartbreak of this past weekend.
It hurts.
I don't want to debate gun control.
Mental health issues.
All worthy topics...
But not on a Robert Pattinson blog... Right?

I'm sad.
Heartbroken.
Coming online...
Reading about Rob and Kristen
is a way to step away from 'real' life...
have a laugh.
Enjoy a moment.

So let's see...

I love this picture.
It is no doubt
one of my favorite pictures of Rob and Kristen.
(I wonder how many times I've posted this...)
I think his face says it all.
Looking at this picture...
makes me smile.
Smiling is good.

It sure beats the hell out of people
who continue hating (and yes... you DO hate her)
a young girl they do not know...
for imagined slights she has supposedly
perpetrated against them.
Does even that make sense?

I'm not sure what it is about Kristen
that makes me want to protect her.
I really don't.
I mean...
Is it because she is so tiny
and so easily gets swallowed up in a crowd?
Is it because she is painfully shy
and thus almost always misunderstood?
Is it because she continues to do what she loves to do
despite the incredible amount of scrutiny and criticism
she receives for even the most mundane of things?
Is it because she is harassed and stalked relentlessly?
Is it because she is held to standards no one else
is ever held to?
Is it because she's the underdog?

Over the weekend...
My brother
Who has no real knowledge of Rob or Kristen
Doesn't read gossip mags
is essentially clueless when it comes to this fandom
(which is how I like it)
saw a picture of Kristen

"Oh look, that girl who never smiles
is actually smiling"

Are you kidding me?
He actually said this?

So I replied

"Do you even know what you are talking about?
She smiles ALL the time.
Why would you say that?"

His answer?

"I don't know. I read it somewhere.
And its true. She never smiles."

So...

"OK, so what do you know about
Kristen Stewart that you can say
with such absolute conviction
that she never smiles?
Have you ever watched her talk?
Have you ever paid attention
in any way whatsoever to her?
Do you know ANYTHING about her at all?"

Yes.
I got a bit heated.
Because this is exactly what happens.
Kristen doesn't smile on a red carpet...
and suddenly she never smiles.
And that's what rags and hags focus on.
The negative.
And that's what idiot brothers pick up on.

So I added...

" She happens to smile quite a lot, actually.
She smiles when she's happy.
She doesn't force a smile to please a crowd.
In fact...
If you really want to see her smile
Take a look at her when shes with Robert."

He just looked at me.
Like...'WTF'
And then I realized I was all defending Kristen
over something stupid my brother said.
(Needless to say, he did admit that he was wrong
and just repeating what he had read.)
Who does that?
Why did I feel this need to do that?

I guess I defend her because I like her.
I like that shes awkward and nervous
and not all polished and shiny.
I like that sometimes she doesn't give a shit
what she is wearing and will put on a pair
of comfortable shoes with a fancy dress.
I like that she prefers vintage t-shirts and jeans...
Especially her deliciously handsome boyfriend's t-shirts.

I like that she swears like a sailor
and loves her animals.
I like how she admits to her mistakes...

And I love how she loves Rob.
Because I adore Rob.

And before anyone sends me the
SHOUTY ALL CAPS emails...
I defend Rob too.
He just doesn't get the same kind of vicious attacks
as Kristen gets every minute of every hour.
(at least I don't see them)

You have to admire both Rob and Kristen's
tenacity to be in this relationship.
The force is strong with these two.
Imagine dealing with all the bullshit
they have been dealing with for the past 4 years.
The Rags and Hags trying to tear them apart...
The intense scrutiny of every word...
every movement...
every fucking breath.
And since July
It has only gotten worse.

But yet...
Rob and Kristen REMAIN.
Together.
Through it all...
Thick.
Thin.
Ups.
Downs.
Even more determined than before...
They still stand
Side by side.
In love.

The Rags and Hags had it all figured out...
or so they thought.
Rob and Kristen were
"never ever getting back together"
OOPS!
Shuts you RIGHT DOWN!
Must suck to be wrong
ALL the damn time.

All they had to do was keep living their life
the way they always have...
Together.
No matter what anyone else thinks.

Kristen:

"I've never experienced working on the same movie
for such a long time other than the twilight saga.
Maybe that's why all the characters stay in my heart.
Thinking about them, is like looking back at your good old
high school days.
Rob hasn't changed since the first time I met him.
 He always explores his limits,
and he makes me feel loved and cherished.
He's a big part of my life now."

Kristen:

“People think they knew a lot about me before.
 They know even less now.
People will project whatever.
It’s a huge form of entertainment.
As soon as you step outside your own life and look at it
like that and think that you can shape something —
you need to live your life.
I’m just going to live my life, actually,”

Rob:

"Knowing that you'll always keep something special
no matter what happens,
is something that has made an impact in my life.
That's one of the biggest lessons I've received in life."

Kristen:

“The only relief when it comes to Twilight is that the story is done,”
 she says matter-of-factly.
“I start every project to finish the motherfucker,
and to extend that [mentality] over a five-year period
adapting all of these treasured moments over four books,
it was constantly worrying.” She pauses.
“But as long as people’s perspective of me
doesn't keep me from doing what I want to do,
 it doesn't matter.”

This post is brought to you by what matters.

1. Tell the people in your life you love them.
Hug them.
Cherish your children.

2. Rob and Kristen have figured out
what matters.
Each other.
They don't give a shit what anyone else
says or thinks...
They obviously already know.

3. Thomas Sturridge.

He fucking matters.

4. Life.
Love.
Laughter.
Corny? Yes.
But so fucking true.

5. I actually LOVE
that Rob and Kristen are
under the radar right now

They've earn their peace.
Their quiet.
Just know that somewhere
behind that curtain...
Rob and Kristen
are together.
Happy.
That's all that matters.

Until next time.

Be safe.
Be kind.
Be happy.

Bye for now

  2. Rose - defending her becomes second nature because she is so relatable and the hatred towards her is so unwarranted - they hate her because who she is with not her for herself. I also still stand by they are are either very confused or are her closeted biggest fans because they read/watch every interview, save every photo, watch her every move - hell they know more about her than most of her die hard fans do. I am glad that they found each other because they seem to balance each other out. Kristen and Rob always end up together .

  5. I'm picturing Rose arguing with her brother and trying not to give away why she knows so much about the subject. I can relate to that.

I have a request for all you Southern ladies or gents.

Does anyone have a sure fire, goof proof recipe for Pralines? I was given a mountain of pea-Kahns and I wanted to try some new recipes.

  10. Thank you dear Rose,

Perfectly stated. Wonderful post as always.

Count me in as one who hopes, and also will be happy, that Rob and Kristen stay under the radar and out of sight from prying camera lenses.

Just finished rewriting some finals and they are run off, all set to go. Now if I could only wiggle my nose and have them graded in a wink.

    Hugs for y'all.
Hugs for Smitty, Gruff and Syd and their family and friends

  11. PL – LOL. Yes, I can imagine the discussion that Rose had. I’ve had to keep my awareness of R&K under control and under wraps a few times.

Super – we’re not clapping. Hope your phone gets fixed soon.

DK - wow... Ella, Gershwin, Chopin.. Quite the selections!

Olivia - nice to see you. Good luck with the rest of your finals. If you figure out that nose wiggling thing, please let me know.

I hope everyone is having a better start to the week than the end of the one that just passed.

  13. I remember a girlfriend of one of my family members making a rude comment about Kristen even before the summer. In trying to correct this person of how good Kristen is, it came down to my being rude to this person over Kristen. And I felt justified; great about it! My family just stood there, mouths open and saying to me that I was obsessed about it and didn't even know her. I was and am obsessed about Kristen; about protecting her from wrongful impressions. It really pisses me off. No other family member or friend have brough up Kristen's name to me again. Sorry, just love that girl and loves that Rob loves her no matter what anyone says about her.

I have THE BEST RECIPE FOR PRALINES EVER!

My mother was WORLD famous (not really, but pretty famous around our part of Southeast Texas)for these. We gave them as fabors at my daughter's wedding last year
    :-).

    Here you go -
    Lola’s Pralines
    2 cups sugar
    ¾ cup milk
    ½ teaspoon baking soda
    2 cups pecans
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 ½ teaspoons vanilla

Cook sugar, milk, and soda until it is barely boiling, stirring constantly. Once it is boiling gently, stop stirring and let it boil until it forms a soft ball in cool water (use a candy thermometer). Remove from flame, Add pecans, butter, and vanilla. Beat or stir a few minutes until the mixture is creamy (not glassy). Spoon onto wax paper that has been sprinkled with salt (VERY important!).

  16. Living Life

Life is not a race - but indeed a journey. Be honest. Work hard. Be choosy. Say "thank you", and "great job" to someone each day. Go to church, take time for prayer.
The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh. Let your handshake mean more than pen and paper. Love your life and what you've been given, it is not accidental ~ search for your purpose and do it as best you can.

Dreaming does matter. It allows you to become that which you aspire to be. Laugh often. Appreciate the little things in life and enjoy them. Some of the best things really are free.

Do not worry, less wrinkles are more becoming. Forgive, it frees the soul. Take time for yourself ~ Plan for longevity. Recognize the special people you've been blessed to know.

Live for today, enjoy the moment. ~ Bonnie Mohr

  17. Rose thank you for telling it like it is. I love how you're protective over Kristen, and Rob too when you need to be. I have nothing but respect for them and as long as I have a breath of air in me I will always support them and speak up for them. I've always been for the one being bullied, and love it when the bully gets knocked down. Karma never forgets an address.

  20. With Hope ~ Steven Curtis Chapman

This is not at all how
We thought it was supposed to be
We had so many plans for you
    We had so many dreams
    And now you've gone away
And left us with the memories of your smile
    And nothing we can say
    And nothing we can do
    Can take away the pain
The pain of losing you, but ...

    We can cry with hope
We can say goodbye with hope
'Cause we know our goodbye is not the end, oh no
And we can grieve with hope
    'Cause we believe with hope
    (There's a place by God's grace)
There's a place where we'll see your face again
    We'll see your face again

    And never have I known
    Anything so hard to understand
And never have I questioned more
    The wisdom of God's plan
But through the cloud of tears
I see the Father smile and say 'well done'
    And I imagine you
Where you wanted most to be
Seeing all your dreams come true
    'Cause now you're home
And now you're free, and ...

    We can cry with hope
We can say goodbye with hope
'Cause we know our goodbye is not the end, oh no
And we can grieve with hope
    'Cause we believe with hope
    (There's a place by God's grace)
There's a place where we'll see your face again
    We'll see your face again

We have this hope as an anchor
    'Cause we believe that everything
God promised us is true, so ...

    We can cry with hope
We can say goodbye with hope
'Cause we know our goodbye is not the end, oh no
And we can grieve with hope
    'Cause we believe with hope
    (There's a place by God's grace)
There's a place where we'll see your face again
    We'll see your face again

    We wait with hope
    And we ache with hope
    We hold on with hope
    We let go with hope

    What Matters Most

    Barbra Streisand (2011):
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OplVNCQPKo

    It's not how long
    We held each other's hand
    What matters is how well
    We loved each other
    It's not how far
    We traveled on our way
But what we found to say

It's not the springs we've seen
But all the shades of green
It's not how long I held you
    In my arms
    What matters is how sweet
    The years together

It's not how many summer times
We have to give to fall
    The early morning smiles
    We wistfully recall
    What matters most
Is that we loved at all

    Count to three
    Come with me

    In a world of
    Pure imagination
    Take a look
    And you'll see
    Into your imagination

    We'll begin
    With a spin
    Traveling in
    The world of my creation
    What we'll see

If you want to view paradise

I share the same sentiment about
    Rob and Kristen being

I think Kristen's doing just fine.

When people come at me with the line..."I read in a tabloid..."
I stop them right there ......With those five words, I know anything else they uttter will be pure bullshit- 'nuff said!
As for the Kristen never smiles.......Please! There are enough pics of her smiling to dismiss that one as the rubbish that it is!

    Have a great day everybody.

  30. Hello Rose and everyone else. I'm pretty new here but I wanted to say I think you and I somehow have the same brother. Because the very same thing happened to me last Sunday. He showed me a pic he thought was funny about Emma Watson crying on her last Harry Potter premiere and Kristen being "emotionless" on her last Twilight premiere. I kind of went of at him. He believes in all the gossip without even knowing he's going it. So I got super protective. She's very dear to my heart and is the only actress I follow. I'm not interested in the rest because they seem so fake. Even when they smile, it feels like its plastered on. So when a young girl who is spunky, awkward, vulnerable, strong, shy, nervous, thoughtful during interviews, its going to catch my attention. She's convicted to stay true to herself and encourages other girls to do so. Someone who is that famous; she should have been applauded for that but no the public and media hates her for it. Kristen doesn't deserve the all the hate and ridicule thrown her way. And it bothers me a lot. So if someone is going to trash her in front of me, I'm not gonna let it slip.

  31. Rose, this is just perfect. The timing and is just what we need during this RK drought.

"Just know that behind that curtain...Rob and Kristen are together. Happy. That's all that matters."

It is indeed! With all the crime, hate and sadness all around us, it makes me wonder about these people who hates on Kristen so much. Have they even stopped to think and ask themselves, WHY? Hate is such an evil thing, such a strong yet senseless emotion. It is so sad to carry on in life with that feeling towards someone they don't even personally know and don't know who they are either. They are lumped with a group called those "haters". What a sad, sad, life!

Well, we will let them be as we continue to support, love and admire two amazing people who continue to live their lives unaffected, the way they choose to...very much in love and together.

Thank you, Rose for sharing with us your wonderful thoughts and beautiful words about Rob and Kristen.

  37. Hello Roseland

I don't have a defend Kristen story ( the opposite actually ) but I have a slap my nephew in the back of the head ( Emmett style ) story. My Nephew is on holiday break from college and stayed the night with us, as I'm setting at the table looking at Robsten Dreams, he's setting beside me and looks to see what I'm doing and I'm looking at the photo of K doing press for OTR from the 8th were she has on her glasses on and he looks up at me and says " Man, she can star in my Sexy Librarian and Hot for Teacher fantasies any day" I yell TMI and slap him on the back of his head....he is 19 after all...one track mind. Then later my hubby says wait till he finds out he can see her boobs in her new movie. LOL I told him if he said that to him I'd kill him.

  38. Someday ...i might find an answer to my own fascination of kristen stewart. Im doing much better now and NO LONGER TRYING TO INJURE ANYONE who has a bad word or two for her. I still choose her MOVIE PREMIERES over family and friends' birthdays. But i resumed TUPPERWARE and CANDLE PARTIES now that TWILIGHT BLOCK PARTIES will be over. I can't wait for my COLLECTIONS to be featured in AMERICAN PICKERS show because i know they will be VALUABLE than grandmothers' teacups. I have instructed my nieces and nephews who grew up in my twilight world what to do with my EDWARD AND BELLA MEMENTOS in case my time on earth must end. I am in a very HAPPY PLACE with these TWO BEAUTIFUL CREATURES . And im still SLASHING PAPARAZZI tires. TABLOIDS WILL END....who says otherwise is so ...leave them to their opinion. WHO NEEDS TABLOIDS when we get info fresh and legit from real people. THOSE TABLOIDS that made friends with the ELF...DWARF...and other IMAGINARY FRIENDS will soon realize they are the only ones reading their fictions

Holy/Pam - I was prepping for the storm that is coming - supposed to be blizzard conditions by morning. Also went to our department xmas party which is always fun and usually ends in a fight - the fight was over gun control - ugh.

I have defending Kristen a couple times but the one that sticks out was over her acting as a co worker who loved her in Adventureland but was judging her on Twilight (which he loathes). These are the only roles he knew from her but by the end of the conversation he agreed to watch more of her movies before talking to me about it ever again. Most of the people I know don't judge the other stuff in general because they don't read tabloids - thank god for that

  40. HAPPY TUESDAY, ROSELAND!!!

God, I miss the kids ... (meaning RK in case you didn't know that, LOL) BUT, I'm so happy that they're under the radar right now. I hope they enjoy their holiday time together, maybe get to spend time with both of their families and friends. Would love to be a fly on the wall to see what Bear & Bernie get for Christmas!!!

BLUEBEE -- So glad you are here, we need new people so we don't get "stale" here with the same old group. As long as you love RK, you'll fit right in.

    GARGAMEL -- Well said.

PAMH, WIG, HOLY, JEANNIE, *WAVES HELLO*

DK -- I can't wait to check out that interview, sounds really good.

GINGER -- I hope you behaved yourself at the office party. GUN CONTROL - I was in the grocery a couple of hours ago and got in a conversation with a 2nd grade teacher whose hubs is a school admin in our small town. Anyway, batten down the hatches, sounds like you have a blizzard coming. Guess you're going to have a white Christmas. We might have a little snow on Friday but nothing big. :(

  43. GINGER -- Oh, yea, know what you mean about HR knowing about convos. I can only imagine how some of our co-workers would react if they knew how invested we are in our fav couple, RK? I don't even want to think about it.

Back to reading!!! I'll expect pics of the blizzard ...

Like you I don't think OTR will play anywhere near me so I'll have to wait for DVD. But my hubby just preordered Cosmopolis from Best Buy for me as a X MAS gift.

    @ Ginger
Glad to hear your office party didn't get to out of hand.
I hope you make it through the storm without problems. We are supposed to get 1-3 inches but so far every time theyve said that we have not got anything.

Did anyone see the post on Hollywood Life about R&K having a tree decorating party? At least it's a good made up post instead of something negative, but does anyone still believe that their close friends would ever tell something so private.

    ReplyDelete
  47. @Pam - nope I bet their friends hate the media as much as they do

  48. DIRTYDISHES -- Glad to see you here, hope you are having a good evening.

PAMH -- I have also preordered Cosmo but won't ship until 1/1 ... I'm going to do the Amazon VOD. I did that with BelAmi and was happy I got to watch it for 3 days even though only on the laptop.

GINGER -- LOL, yea, I'm sure some people would be surprised at your "soft" side ... you don't fool me!!!

I'm outa here, my bedtime. Goodnight, All!!!

I believe this is my third comment lol . And yes big RK fan, love them both in their adorable awkwardness. :)

  51. BLUEBEE -- I certainly hope you will start commenting more now that you've "broken the ice" so to speak. We all have that common bond here, our love for RK and their careers.

Okay, I'm stepping away from the laptop and going to bed. Gotta work in the morning, ugh ...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciHyZqy0R98

If you just stop to think
    Here's a lesson for you
What a word or a smile can convey

With a word you can make someone
    Happy or blue
With a smile you can make them
    Sad or gay

So be careful what you say
And be careful how you smile
It's so easy for us to make
    Someone's life worthwhile

    There are smiles
    That make us happy
    There are smiles
    That make us blue

    There are smiles
    That steal away the teardrops
    Like the sunbeams
    Steal away the dew

    There are smiles
    That have a tender meaning
    That the eyes of love
    Alone can see

    But the smiles
That fill my life with sunshine
    Are the smiles
    That you gave to me

    Where there's love
    There's a song
    That will always belong
    In your memory
    To live evermore

    Something heard long ago
    When two hearts were aglow
    And the world
    Was a dream to explore

    Where there's love
    There's a theme
That you found in your dream
    And the thrill of it
    Lives in your heart

    To the sky
    Let it soar
    To your heart
    There's a score

    Where's there's love
    You'll find a song
All through the ages it plays
Don't let your theme get away

    Where there's love
    There's a wonderful heart
    Where there's love

  69. Hello ladies and gents.

@gargamel-hello to you, where have you been.

@Ginger-hey are you enjoying your day?Is it true that Ben A. dropped Focus, due to schedule conflict?Damn I like the guy.

    ReplyDelete
  70. @Pam - the snow stopped so we ended up with just super cold weather and wind more than snow. It will be interesting whatever the reason he is there - they obviously want to keep it a surprise so we will have to be like kids on Christmas and wait for it LOL

@Holy - he did drop. I like Ben in general but since it is WB they will find someone of equal stature to replace him. Rumor is he might be running for Senate and he has another film that would conflict with a April start day according to the news. Either way if the film goes forward I bet they will find a male lead that will do a great job with Kristen. Another thing we get to sit and wait to be surprised about - Ha

  80. I hope they leave the romance out of it. I just want to see a comedy. Am very glad Ben A. pulled out. I don't see him pairing very well with Kristen at all. I can think of so many young male actors that would pair well with Kristen.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I wouldn't be surprised if WB doesn't hire someone less known and save themselves some bucks. They know that Kristen Stewart's name is enough to draw the crowd ... so I wouldn't be surprised if they find someone decent looking who isn't quite "A" list. It's ALL about profits ... Remember Rob's remarks during the promo about Kristen having the most influence in Hollywood? He was only half-kidding, I think he was pretty serious.

ANNIE -- As much as I like Lee Pace, PLEASE don't let them use someone who was involved with Twilight, would be too hard for some of us, LOL.

PAMH -- Hi, are you expecting snow in KY? I think we're supposed to get some on Friday here in NC mountains. It's about time, we still have some green grass here, only snow is on the ski slopes because of snowmaking :(

    ReplyDelete
  89. What about Justin Timberlake? He's about the right age and he can be funny ...

    ReplyDelete
  90. @Ginger-thanks.And you right it's WB,they will not just pick anybody.I'm hoping for Viggo,Keanu,Clive Owen or Robert Downy.

@gargamel-I glad you never stop twirling.LOL

Will be seeing OTR this Friday,so excited.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Let's don't forget that the person who teaches Kristen is "older". It took that to mean someone in their 40's and someone who is good in comedies. How about Bradley Cooper; Ryan Reynolds; Greg Kennear? I'm sure you can think of others, but these the ones who first come to mind.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I want to see Kristen in a comedy. She deserves a lot of laughter in her life after what she has been through. I love Kristen and will always support her!

    ReplyDelete
  93. You know, since this movie is supposed to be about an older con man and a young woman, what if they have her paired up with someone really unexpected, but who has proven they can work with someone young and can pull it off. Maybe if they tone down the 'romance' it could work. Clint Eastwood

    ReplyDelete
  94. If this is true, let the twirling commence!

Kristen and Rob had a small, intimate Christmas tree decorating party on Sunday. They have a gorgeous tree set up at Kristen's where Rob pretty much lives now," showbizspy.com quoted a source as saying

    ReplyDelete
  95. OooH! Clint. Yes, Yes and Yes! He would be a great mentor on screen and as a director which she hopes to be one day.

    ReplyDelete
  96. @Liz - Don't know if JT can pull the con artist part off but he can be funny.

@Annie - OTR is actually going to be in a theater close to me in Jan so I will have to venture downtown to go see it.

@Holy yup - to me it looks like they want big names all around for this one.

    ReplyDelete
  97. @Kami - they would have to cut the romance completely out because for me that would be way to big of an age difference. People were freaking over the age difference between Ben and Kristen - Clint could be her great grandfather.

    ReplyDelete
  98. They would have to rewrite the script.........Clint as her grandfather trying to keep her out of the family business?
The comedic aspect of it would still be there.

    ReplyDelete
  99. @Annie - hmmm someone suggested Johnny Depp hadn't thought of him - maybe. If they are going for an April date I am not sure they would have time for a complete script re-write.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Ginger: JD?...Love Johnny Depp but no, not quite feeling that pairing. :)

    ReplyDelete
  101. @Ginger-WB wants the big star all the time.As I remember the first TW was pick up by them but they wanted to cast the movie with big names in HW.It was Summit who take a risk of producing the movie and definitely hit the jackpot. What I heard was that WB regretted they're decision.

    ReplyDelete
  102. @Ginger-I have a feeling that they will give the part to Johnny Depp.

    ReplyDelete
  103. @Ginger-I hope so.I love Paul Walker.How about Vin Diesel.But you know Johnny D,Christian B,are WB favorites.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Ginger: Hmm.......
His resume needs a comedy. Maybe. :)

    ReplyDelete
  105. @ LIZ
We are estimated to get 1-3 inches with colder temp. but they've predicted that a couple times already and we got nothing....my son is hoping for snow after New Years so his break will last longer.

    Ginger
You said my first pick with Cavill. Of coarse we all want Rob but know that ain't happening for a while. I'd love to see them in a comedy type movie together.

We know she works well with Ryan Reynolds and I could see Justin Timberlake or Bradley Cooper as well...so many choices

    ReplyDelete
  106. i wish ben was available, because he was so good in chasing amy,

but since he's not, could this role [a warner brothers comedy about a grifter in his late 30's who takes a young girl in her early twenties under his wing] be meant for anybody else, but robert downey jr, he would be perfect

    ReplyDelete
  107. Hello Robert...........Goodnight ladies.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Am back from dinner with my hubby...

First just want to say hello to everyone.....

If the script calls for romance with an older man, the only way I can see an older man pairing with Kristen is if their characters have a relationship like Bill Murray and Scarlett Johanssen in Lost in Translation, which was an excellent movie. If it goes further than that, then I will freak out.

Plus, I thought Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone were first cast in it, then they both dropped out. They are both young actors. So why does the script have to call out for an older con artist? Did they change the script?

My pick: James Franco (36 yrs. I think), I think he can pull off the comedic role, and he's still gorgeous.

If WB want to find someone older: I just looked at a list of actors in their 40s: I would go with either one of these who I think can be comedic....Brad Pitt (but I just don't see him accepting this role) or Josh Duhamel (did anyone watch Win a Date with Tad Hamilton? I thought he was funny without even trying).

  110. Morning all.

Topaz Emerald: Clint Eastwood was suggested and if he is in the mix, an actor the age of Clint Eastwood, then there would need to be a script change......The age difference is too vast and it just would not work.

The script does not have to be changed if the actors chosen are in the same age range as Gosling/Stone who dropped out.

    ReplyDelete
  111. It is very possible that WB will go for a seasoned comedic actor.

    ReplyDelete
  112. HAPPY THURSDAY, ROSELAND!!!

I hope everyone is healthy and happy and looking forward to Christmas. I really hope that no one is stuck in a blizzard or in an airport, sounds horrible.

I imagine that Rob is home with the "family" since we've not seen him in a couple of days. I believe they took a private plane to NYC.

LIZ IN LALA LAND --- TWIRLING!!!

    ReplyDelete
  113. @Liz - whatever he is shooting in NY is being shot right now I guess. People are pretty convinced it is Dior so where ever he is going it will be later today or tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  114. GINGER -- Finally saw some tweets about it. We don't know for sure it's Dior, do we? Hopefully we'll find out something even if no pics.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Ginger, I was joking. I cannot even begin to imagine them pairing Clint Eastwood with anyone Kristen's age in a romantic situation.

As for Ben dropping out of the movie, happens all the time. If they make the movie I'm sure they'll find someone perfect for the role.

    ReplyDelete
  116. @Kami - I literally gagged when you said that I was like um pass. Johnny is older but he looks younger - the man has great gene's. Paul Walker is 39 and he looks younger too. Plus he has that smart ass grin. I still will go with my 1st 2 though - Cavill is probably my #1

    ReplyDelete
  117. @LIZ - so much confusion going on - now they are not sure it is his shoot as he was seen shooting 2 days ago. This would most likely not be Dior and maybe I am the odd ball in this but I find it hard to think he would shave the famous mop for a Dior commercial. I think I am going to sit this one out because 1+1 is not 2 right now.

    ReplyDelete
  118. GINGER -- I'm with you, doesn't add up. Do we even KNOW for sure that he's there? Unlikely since he wasn't pic'd yesterday at all. LOL, he's probably lying by the pool at home, looking at twitter and laughing...

    ReplyDelete
  119. @ Annie, LIZ, Kami, Ginger and anyone I missed or lurking
    Waves :)

    Ginger
I'm like you on thinking if Rob has a shaved head I can't see it being Dior, they are going to want the HAIR, but he could just have short sides with longer hair hidden under cap. If not Dior then I can't even guess what he could be doing. It couldn't be related to his upcoming project could it ?

We never seen airport photos so it seems like he went private so he could still be there or home...until someone leaks some info...we may not know.

    ReplyDelete
  120. @Pam - it could be related to a role or something we just don't know that he has on his plate. I guess we shall eventually see - with no sightings on him for the second day we can't even say if he is in NY - the are ninja's for sure

    ReplyDelete
  121. Has anyone read that indiewire interview with Kristen Stewart? Overall, it was a great interview, but she also answers with great enthusiasm about her possibly doing SWATH 2. But then I remember watching a roughcut MTV video interview where Josh H. asked her whether she would consider returning, and maybe it's just me, but she answered that she would consider it, but her answer seemed scripted (maybe in the beginning she had signed a contract to do a sequel and isn't allowed to say anything other than yes it's possible she be back), a little cautious (esp. when she quickly glanced over to her left at someone, her publicist maybe?), and dull. She didn't look or sound enthused like the answer she gave for Indiewire. So I'm willing to bet that the answers she gave regarding SWATH 2 originated back in May during Cannes press interviews and they just stuck her answer in there simply because they can.

Considering everything that's happened to her in the past few months, I would be lying if I said I wanted her to return as Snow. And do we even know who else will return as actor, actress, and yes, director? This is getting more and more bizarre. And I'm now starting to think we know less and less about anything that happened in the last few months. At this point, as I write this, I give up on feeling so emotionally invested with this fascinating couple because after having read that article, I don't know what to believe anymore. I guess we will just have to wait and see. From now on, I will just watch as events unfold in the coming months and just be happy that they both gave us Twilight no matter what happens.

    ReplyDelete
  122. TOPAZ. I would rather see K as SW but with a different director ! Lol

Hi Everybody. My friend is home with Hospice care. I just got home from visiting her. She is slowly slipping away from us ... Still engaged in brief conversation and then she falls asleep... But she is not in pain so I am happy for that

Hope everyone is having a good week

    ReplyDelete
  123. @Topaz - I think it is old as well because all the newer interviews she just seems over it and they would most likely return with her and not him if it is ever made since she was the draw to begin with.

@Super - I am so sorry about your friend and with the holidays around the corner it is a million times harder. My dearest sympathy to you, her and her family.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Super RN and Ginger, waves :) and waves to everyone else on this blog.

I guess whatever happens will happen. I really don't feel bothered anymore either way because this whole thing has gotten too bizarre. LOL :)

PamH, is it you the kindergarten teacher? waves :) I'm waiting to go back to school to take Early Childhood Education classes. Hopefully everything will work out.

    ReplyDelete
  125. What about Mark Walberg for Focus? He's the right age and I heard he was pretty funny in the movie Ted.

    ReplyDelete
  126. @Topaz - waves - It is JMF that teaches kindergarten

Either way if she does it she does it - it is a movie and I am sure if she is doing it both her and Rob are all good with it. It was money wise a better movie for Universal and I would go see it, I liked the 1st one and really I like both Kristen and Rob's work so if it is a movie that seems up my alley I see it :)

    ReplyDelete
  127. @Liz - he is still in NYC and was at the Wardolf (just saw a fan pic) - so the mystery of what is for continues.......

    ReplyDelete
  128. Good evening, all!
Ginger, forgive my ignorance, but what is Wardolf?

    ReplyDelete
  129. Ginger, thanks I forgot who it was, there's so many ladies here :)

My husband and I are not movie goers, we prefer to wait for the movie to come out on DVD, but for me, it's the same, like you, I will get my ass to the theater and watch if it seems up my alley. I liked the first one too, maybe the direction was kind of flawed and I thought it deserved another full hour of footage, but overall it was a good movie. I am curious what the new script is now. I mean Ravenna is dead. I wonder who will be the evil character.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Hello guys.

@Ginger-hey there.Rob shave his head though,so we don't know what commercial he's doing.

@Tuf-I agree with Mark W also. There's to many actors to chose.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Ginger, it is probably a Dior commercial. I have a feeling he didn't want to get founded out. I mean, there has been no official announcement. Just saw the fan pics at Robstendreams. He looks tired, though. Good for him if it is, more money in the bank, more money he can share with those he loves :)

    ReplyDelete
  132. A shaved head, perhaps a new Rob, a new look for 2013, with all his cool movies pending. Can't wait for The Rover, Hold Onto Me, Queen of the Desert. Never been so excited for Rob's new projects :) Go Robert!

    ReplyDelete
  133. Good evening all

Rob is definitely keeping us guessing...wonder if he's doing some secret shopping for K while there ?

I liked SW and if K is part of the next I would see it for her, but I can't see her ever doing it unless it's a different director, she was always what made the movie worth watching anyway. If she does continue I'm sure she's aware of the questions and comments from the media and people would come from that. They would use that as a means to bring him up...even with a different director attached.

    @ Super
I'm so sorry about your friend. My deepest sympathy to you and her family.

    ReplyDelete
  134. @Topaz - he seemed surprised people found him although someone had loose lips. The one fan and her we always know where you are would have made me side eye her and alert security - umm. So one of the girls was under the impression he was leaving tonight so he is either LA or London bound.

off to dinner now with my hubby.....

  138. @Topaz - I couldn't imagine actually saying that to someones face - that in itself is creepy stuff

  139. Hey there!

    @Ginger
The Waldorf hotel, in NYC, where my favorite pop composer, Cole Porter, lived for many years, is that where Roberto stayed?

I am creating new cocktails again, although not trying for organic or healthy ones. My "Fizzy Tangueray Gimlet" is delicious but so strong, it must be a good value, for one is enough. You know what I mean? I will share the recipe with anyone who likes gin, pineapple and lime together. Email me.

And, where is my snow? Out in my kid's area, a blizzard and near my bro, too. I am south of them and lacking the white stuff I love (in small amounts).

  141. @DK - that is where this commercial was shot (people still guessing Dior) on the 18th floor

  142. @Ginger
Looking forward to Rob in any capacity! He's, the Man. I love all things French (like Dior, Chanel) I confess.
Son said there is no blizzard out by him, that it's a media hype/scare us type of situation. 24 hours news/weather, ha, ha. Silly me!

  143. Tom Sturridge's 27th bday is on the 21st. He's a stout-hearted man, imo.
    Right, Rose?

Was this fan stalking the hotel or somewhere else?
I'm surprised that if this commercial was shot in such a public place there hasn't been a lot more lip yapping on twitter about it.

    @DK
I'm wondering the same thing here, we've seen no snow yet :(

    Right! WTH?
I know Old Man Winter does his own thing but really, I'm convinced the media is just as wily and unpredictably, predictable!
    Hi, Sweets!

  148. So I see Dean in one of those stalker fan pics :)LOL
Love that he is always with Rob. Can we say from Summit hired to personal bodyguard now?

Really cannot wait to see his upcoming movies, so exciting. Robert and Guy, Robert and Carey, Robert, Naomi, and Jude, oh my god! especially Robert and Carey, cannot wait!
Robert and Saddam Hussein? oh no.

    @DK, WAVES sweet lady :)

    off to shower now......

  149. @Topaz
WAVES, back, and hope you wash away any stress or concerns. As Olivia always writes, "Life is good." versus not. Consider any choice and choose for the good of all.

  150. It's Not For Me To Say

    Johnny Mathis (1957):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgknUay7YWk

Though we try to be masters
    Of our souls
    And captains of our fate

    It's the lucky ones
    Who achieve their goals
    While others have to wait

    Our destiny is mostly bought
    And paid for us
    The really big decisions
    All are made for us

So it's not for me to say
    You love me
It's not for me to say
    You'll always care

Oh, but here for the moment
    I can hold you fast
And press your lips to mine
And dream that love will last

As far as I can see
    This is heaven
    And speaking just for me
    It's ours to share

    Perhaps the glow
    Of love will grow
    With every passing day

Or we may never meet again
    But then
It's not for me to say

    Thank you/Robert Silvestri

  154. All Christmas shopping done! Yea!!! Now for the wrapping and cooking tomorrow. Going to make peanut butter fudge, pecan (Pee-Can) pies, pumpkin pies, sweet potato loaf cake. My contribution to family Christmas Dinner. It's a wonderful time to be alive. My prayers to our soldiers who can't make it home; children who lost their young lives and the families to miss them sooo very much. God Bless America!
