I just want them to be happy, go out without worrying about the paparazzi, just as a normal couple. Nobody else really matters when you're in love. No need to pay attention to anyone else. What I am about to say might come out of left field for some, while others will know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
ReplyDeleteI saw something today that has me seething with rage and anger, there are a million things I want to say to the person who made hateful and mean comments about people from this blog. I think however rather than screech I will simple state what I think of this person. Rose this is your blog and if you feel like, in my comments I cross a line or say something that might cause you problems please zap my words, I do not want to cause you any unnecessary trouble.
Before I begin I'd like to state that these are my opinions and I am speaking only for myself, no one else, especially not Rose, who is perfectly capable of speaking for herself.
I read a comment today where someone indirectly called those people who visit here and do not subscribe to the pregnancy theory "Fuckwits". Oh no need to scour the sites looking for a direct mention of Roseland, no the author didn't have the backbone to come out and name us. I want to address this person by simply saying that a true "Fuckwit" is someone who belittles and demeans other people because they do not watch the waistline of a celebrity. A "Fuckwit" is someone who calls other people idiots because they do not believe that someone, a person that by all accounts is a kind, loving human being, would continue to smoke during pregnancy. AND a "Fuckwit" is someone who writes a 20 page essay and posts it on someone else's blog calling themselves a professional while not only diagnosing someone's problems but prescribing treatment for that person, when they have no PERSONAL knowledge of the person's true history or background, only going on what they have read and gleamed from tarot cards. I worked in the mental health profession for years and NO one who was a reputable licensed professional would EVER do that. So before you start calling someone a fuckwit clean up your own fucking backyard.
If I want to know what a blogger has to say about Rob or Kristen, I'll come here to Rose's blog, she gets it right.

It makes no fucking sense...unless the reason is really to support tabloids/paparazzi...then all the endless chatter about their private life, whereabouts, theories and pap photo analysis, makes perfect sense.
Just remember...you can fool some of the people some of the time but, you can't fool all of the people all of the time. :)

ReplyDeleteAs a long time participant of this blog, I think you highly exaggerate.
We have never claimed to be the "true fans". I don't think any of us are that silly. If anything, we usually cringe at some of the over-invested remarks and really try to keep it real(i.e. admiring their projects and avoiding things that are too personal).
I love Rose's way with words and the way she thinks. I always have enjoyed Roseland because for the most part, it was calmer and more sane. Not that we haven't had our moments.
If you look at some of the drama here, it is either because of people that hate or those who are way over-invested. Many people visit these blogs and some of the comments accepted on other sites, make many of us uncomfortable. Wrong? Right? I don't know. Just the way it is here in Roseland. So this place may not be for everyone. If I felt uncomfortable,I just wouldn't come here. I sure wouldn't whine about the people who do.
You may note that we are very loyal to Rose and this blog. Not usually militant but we do have some pretty fiery personalities. It is what it is... that's why I'm here.

Rose! I didn't come here to attack you. BUT the attacks on me illutrates perfectly my point. You have among your followers, a few that fits the descriptions of "talibans". Some in the fandom remind me exactly of religious fanatics in their eagerness to defend (well that's what they're believe they are doing) Kristen and Rob. They believe that they and only they "have seen the light". And in their minds it gives them the right to tear good people, wellmeaning fans to shreds. Fundamentalism in the fandom is as bad as fundamentalism in ANY religion.

ReplyDeleteMaude et al, if you find a reflection of yourself in someone else's words, especially when directly addressed to someone else, that's on you. In that case I get the inclination to be defensive, but as Rose would say "if the shoe fits, slide that bitch on" no one is actually telling what to think, but if you take disagreeing personally I'd suggest either learning how to agree to disagree or sticking to a place where everyone thinks like you or silent when they don't.
Those that post/follow multiple blogs....stop bringing and spreading opinions trying to get ALL the fandom to agree. It is gossip at that point and we ALL have the capability to read, follow, comment wherever we want and if we care about other blogs we likely already do. A lot of this drama has stemmed from some spreading gossip between blogs like a gaggle of teens, seemingly trying to push opinions on all and then getting butthurt when they bring something from one blog where everyone agrees to another where some may agree and others won't hesitate to call them out.
Maude, you're obviously looking for a fight and a chance to stir the pot. You come here, call people names, accuse us of acting like the Taliban and then you have the nerve to come back and say "I didn't come here to fight"? Really? Come on.

See that's my problem right now, I'm not angry because people are spreading gossip about whether or not Kristen is pregnant or speculating whether or not Rob and Kristen are a couple, I'm angry because someone woke up one day and decided to declare war on Rose because she doesn't want to engage in idle gossip or be part of some kind of bump watch and has had the courage to say "Hey I don't believe it" and the tolerance to add "But if you do that's just fine". Someone decided to declare war and you came here to pile on. That's all it is and that makes you nothing but a fucking idiotic coward. So sell your bullshit somewhere else.
There are a group of us who support Rose and other people on this blog. We might not always get along, but at the end of the day, we've got each others backs. So cut the bullshit.
Ali, I was like you and shocked beyond belief that someone could be so ridiculous to compare women on a blog to terrorist. That shows beyond a doubt that someone is severly delusional!! This is a blog, and we disagree with people, sometimes very vocally, but to be compared to a group who has murdered and tortured people, is one of the clearest signs that maybe Maude needs to stay away from the computer and check out this thing called a REAL life.

To name call you should know all the meanings of the word you use. If you meant they are seekers or students of knowledge then that is not an insult but I don't think you meant that. I think you were being very derogatory in your remarks and they ate you ass out because of it.

Taliban might be a word meaning something innocent but the people who call themselves that are NOT innocent, they're terrorist who have killed and tortured scores of people. I also know that Maude's intention was not to nicely call us students or seekers.

That is so true ali mac. people have gone past reasonable. I got where I lurk but hardly ever comment. I would be snapping and popping off on people all the time about the "in my opinion only" stupid remarks they make toward others. I am hoping and praying for the new year that as you say "things can only get better." I am a Rob and Kristen fan. I believe they are together. I love their attitudes and acting skills. Beyond that I am through with my very opinionated opinions. I want them to be happy in life and in work. Like I would my own family. But I realized something. I am not as nosy in my own family as I was into their lives. I ask myself why? Because I was sitting behind a computer investing way to much into them and not enough into me. I decide to change all that in one fell swoop. I am still not nosy into my family unless they need me there but I am less invested into the world of what are k and R doing behind closed doors. Not my business. I have to thank a few of you for getting me to that place and I am loving it. I am back to writing and now my books are making sense again. Not just popped out garbage that means nothing. Sorry for the long rant but I just wanted to thank you all and say why. Rose you amaze as always. :0)

Haven't been around lately. Been very busy with families located in two states. I am euphoric over the news of Kristen being the face of Chanel.
