This all reminds me of a fascinating phenomenon noted by social psychologists about Doomsday cults. It's happened on more than one occasion. Group forms with a very captivating leader, believing that the world will end on a certain day. They prepare, build shelters - the day comes... and nothing happens. Does the group disband, believing that they were scammed by their leader, that their leader doesn't actually know 'truth' that the rest of us don't? No! In fact, these groups strengthened their belief in the leader and their cause. It's completely fascinating, and we're seeing it now with the baby/marriage theory. Despite no evidence of the baby, counter-evidence to the relationship - they have strengthened their belief in the "leaders." As for these leaders - there is just too much "sunk cost," if you will, that they have to keep it up. Just sitting back and watching all of this is so amazing.

ReplyDeleteI do miss all the talk and excitement that Twilight brought to the fans....but, the reality is...it's finished as we knew it.
I think the reason there is so much drama among the fans now is that the one common thread that held "most" of us together was Twilight and it is over as far as Rob's and Kristen's part of playing their characters. Most sane fans have moved on and either still support their new projects or have found something else and moved on. And then there are still the ones that think Bella and Edward were real and were in fact Rob and Kristen. They were NEVER Bella and Edward in real life. NEVER fucking EVER!
I think some fans are having a hard time accepting reality and other fans are having a hard time accepting the delusional fans.
Why can't fans just believe what ever makes them happy and stop worrying about what others think?
I don't understand why it is so important for people to believe the same way.
People KNOW what they know and DON"T KNOW what they don't know. Who the fuck cares and is it really all THAT serious?
If you are one of those people that only wanted to talk about their personal life (together or separately) then, maybe it IS time to move on....or, I guess you will continue to talk about something you know NOTHING about...you know, kinda like the tabloids do. What's the difference?
We haven’t gotten candid pictures of Rob and Kristen for over a year now. And that, of course, is no proof that they did or did not break up. HOWEVER: As Kristen seems to be genuinely happy hanging out with her friends, namely Alicia, in LA, it strikes me as somewhat disrespectful to continue harping on about Rob. Throughout their entire relationship I always found it creepy that people go to the extent of finding their addresses, the places they’re staying, the inside details they never wanted anyone to know… and you all as fans say you respect them, but you don’t live up to your words.

If it’s true that Rob and Kristen have broken up - probably not because of whatever reasons the tabloids have said, because when are they accurate? - but for ANY reason, whether it’s because they grew distant, met other people, figuring out their sexualities, etc. ANYTHING… then this is disrespect to the highest degree. Can you even imagine if millions of people were obsessed with you and your ex together? Even thinking about it makes my skin crawl; especially since Kristen and Rob are highly accomplished actors, and still people focus on their relationship with their careers as a side point.
How many times does Kristen have to state that she doesn’t want to talk about who she’s dating for you to believe her? It’s not a publicity stunt, it’s not a ploy to get you to like her or pay attention to her or do the opposite and start stalking her significant others. She really means it. And it’s totally okay to find Rob/Kristen, Alicia/Kristen, FKA Twigs/Rob, or anything else cute. That’s no one’s business but yours. It’s all an issue of aesthetics and projection and whatnot. But demanding that others see what you see is a.) creepy - these are real people, not fictional characters to ship, b.) none of your business, and c.) a waste of your time. You’ll never know, and neither will I, what they get up to in their free time.
And to those of you stating that Rob is being horrible by publicly holding hands with FKA Twigs after he’s stated that his personal life is personal: Have you considered that Kristen was the one in their relationship who wanted them to be more private? Since 2010, it seems Rob has been more willing to talk about their relationship than her. I wouldn’t find this hard to believe. Rob is 28 now, he’s a grown man, and he’ll date and do whatever he wants, public or private.
And last note: stop calling anyone who believes that Kristen might be anything other than straight a “hater.” You literally sound 8 years old. LGBTQ people are not a punch line or a bad thing. Jesus, shut up.

I'll never get how people can make assumptions over a pic of someone that they don't even know or have NEVER talked to. That goes for celebs or not. Unless you are THAT person, how can you possibly know ANYTHING?

PR involves being open about the “relationship” - Red Carpet events and such but this has NEVER happened. I don't know them and never will,they are two famous strangers. What I do like are their movies, the choices they are making, both of them working with amazing Directors and surrounding themselves with established and highly respected actors.

Kristen is heartbroken, I should imagine Rob and Kristen are still in contact with each other, and she would be aware of the tsunami that has started and how Rob is taking all this hate as well as Miss Twigs.
When did the lines become blurred? some fools see only Edward Cullen and Bella Swan and certainly in their mind Renesmee.

Barbara, Thank you for your so true comment. The majority of people feel as you do and are truly enjoying seeing Rob giddy in love, whether it is love or not, is anyone's guess. But not to be able to live your enjoy your life because of all of this hate on Rob and Twigs is unbelievable and makes me ashamed of the once sweetest fandom in the world which is now spoiled by these haters.

ReplyDeletewhen it comes to R/K, you are always have the best observation about them. So with those pic out there over month surely you see the different now and then R'relationnships. Years with K pics seen him and K out lesser than over a month of him and T, and pda rarely. He didnt go to K premiers, didnt show pda, and now he doesnt miss any concert T is.Why he made a big defferent, it said things had keep slow and private then, what about now? Sweet , genlement and charming R, who are the real you?

Hi everyone....Well, I didn't want to but I looked at the Brussels pics for the first time tonight and now I have no doubt. I feel sick to my stomach and it makes me incredibly sad, but Rob has clearly moved on. The hopeless romantic in me was so wanting Rob and Kristen to make it as a couple but I believe they just didn't want the same things. I've always felt that she would break his heart (and by saying this I am NOT hating on her). She just doesn't seem like marriage/mother material. I don't know why these other 'sites' can't see it. It's so obvious. Yeah, it hurts my heart, but it's not my life. It's theirs. It's time to move on, just as they have. It will take some getting used to though, seeing Rob with someone else. I guess I'll just be spending less time focusing on their lives and focus on my own. Thanks for letting me get this out. The other sites refuse to let you speak your mind. It's either their way or no way. Have a good night.

ReplyDeletePeople still think they KNOW what K/R think, feel, etc. I find it amazing given the number of times the fandom has been proved wrong or surprised. People need to stop trying to make one the victim and the other the culprit. No one knows the how, when, what so just stop and Move.It.Along. Neither of them seem to be crying in their Cheerios so once again the fandom brings the drama upon itself and wants to project it onto K/R. Live and Let Live people! LIFE is what you get with real people not fictional characters.
ReplyDeleteKathy, glad you got it out but shall I remind you that you don't know these people. Being upset is what it is and your prerogative, but the writing has been on the wall for quite some time so it's also on you. Some people had hope but they were rational enough to accept that something was different and that in the end they may not "get what they want", this unfortunately created a cloak for those that refused to accept that they could have broken up and those same people clung hard. I'm surprised by the number of people "grieving" now, especially after the last week or so, as if it wasn't obvious months/a year ago that they weren't together and that soon they would likely be in a new romantic relationship. However I will say about the rest of your comment that YOU are projecting and probably have been all along. K was 19 and R was 20-something when they started dating, why is it so shocking to people that they may break-up? The fairytale/unique love was a projection onto them and their relationship by the fans. I don't doubt they loved each other and probably still care for each other, but come on! For every young couple that stays together there are waaaay more that don't and that's life. People grow up and they change. Your personality doesn't change but who can say they are the same person they were at 18, 21, 25, 30?!? You say you thought K would break R's heart, but again you don't know them or the nature of their break-up. You don't think she's wife/mother material, based on what? She didn't want to settle down and have babies at 20/21? The fandom's TGC bandwagon sure did show that many in the fandom wanted just that. She wants to fully know herself, what she wants, live her life like every other person her age? Why is this unimaginable to some?
Kstar, given the amount of PDA between K/R that is actually out there, your statement is false. I know the fandom often likes to have selective memory. The fandom DEMANDED from their relationship and was often butt-hurt when they didn't get what they wanted, so methinks the circumstances are a bit different.
Given all the great and positive career news, why is this even still THE topic of conversation for so many?
@fandom-ruiners...I've known they've been over for a while. Never believed in the whole marriage/baby thing. It's just hard to see him with someone else other than Kristen. Those pics have been out for a week but I just looked at them yesterday. No need to slam me for MY opinion or the way I perceived their relationship. Never claimed to know them either. But thank you for YOUR insight since you seem so much smarter than me. And believe me I'm old enough to know that people change and relationships don't stay the same. I just thought they were good together and I hoped they would make it as a couple. Wow...amazing.
