People are 'gearing' up for Cannes..
Hoping that Rob and Kristen
(and for me personally... Thomas)
Not only go this year...
But walk the red carpet together.
Why work yourself up into a foaming lather
over things that you have no control over?
If they do go and hang out together on camera?
Fucking great.
If they don't?
You know they are hanging out together just not
in front of a camera.
Heh.
The Fringe is already making excuses as to why they
would be there together.
PR of course.
They are prepping for this moment...
trying to find some solace in pretending they don't
care and that it's all part of the plan.
Uh huh.
Sure.
It will fucking KILL them if Rob and Kristen
show up together.
They have been zealously clinging to a HollywoodShit story
about Rob and Kristen

And them showing up in Cannes to promote

Ian and Nina are all kinds of cute together.
But my SHOUTY CAPS email seems to think that
that is the ONLY way to be in a relationship in public
AND
that I will NEVER EVER SEE
ROBERT AND KRISTEN BE LIKE THEM IN PUBLIC.
Well.
1. Just because SHOUTY CAPS seems to think
that Ian and Nina wrote the relationship book
doesn't matter.
Rob and Kristen live their lives
and handle their relationship
the way they want to.
And it's worked out pretty damn good so far.
But I think SHOUTY CAPS should feel free
to being as intimate and loving as she wants
in her own relationship and maybe stop
SHOUTING about a relationship she has no say in.
Robert and Kristen have been plenty adorable
and affectionate 'outside' of work too...
People will always claim that its "PR"
but the Fringe needs to cling to that.
I always get...

I imagine the PR handling gloves are pretty tight
and might be constricting blood flow to the brain.

Miss shouty Caps, have to stop sniffing glue. I never seen anything but awe and admiration between Rob and Kristen.
Rob and Kristen decide how they want to handle their relationship in private and in public. And they have chosen to keep it private and not broadcast it to the world. And they sure don't have to put on a show to prove their love. Its between them and nobody else.

PERFECT post, Rose, thank you. I LOVED seeing all those photos, some I had forgotten about. Makes my heart go "pitter pat" to see them together. Unfortunately most of those pics were paps or fan pics taken on the sly.
I hope they get to really enjoy Europe no matter where they go. I was in Cannes for a day (off a cruise ship) about 4 years ago and it's truly beautiful. LOTS of yachts and many, many exclusive hotels, etc. I hope they'll find a nice, private place so they can enjoy the scenery when not making appearances.
I can't wait to see the Cosmopolis trailer tomorrow. Am hearing nothing but good stuff about OTR. It's going to be a good year for them.
