Twirling.
Twirling.
Twirling the night away!
It never gets old.
It's always fun.
And it's so much better than being stuck in
a foam pit...
Flailing
Trying to get out
Being too embarrassed to admit how
wrong they are...
It's ALL business! It was staged! It wasn't REAL!!! PR! PR! PR! PR! |
Would kinda suck to be out on the battlefield...
Alone
Wielding your foam sword
Charging and Growling at nothing
Fighting a war that no one else is in...
Can you have a war if nobody shows up?
Because as far as I can see...
This bitch is OVER.
Done.
There is no more #Winning
This
Shit
Is
#WON
HELP! I CAN'T STOP! |
Frenzied Foamers.
Does it get any better?
I love when Rob pulls his fingers through his hair... |
Back to the good stuff.
The best stuff.
The right stuff.
Robert Pattinson.
WFE
This Friday.
I cannot wait to see this movie.
Yeah, Yeah... I know...
I've said it before.
But.
It's good to focus on Robert.
How brilliantly gorgeous he is...
How gorgeously brilliant.
And speaking of the right stuff...
Seriously... she's sitting on his damn lap. |
I'm still loving this picture.
I honestly don't think I've seen Rob and Kristen more happy.
The smiles on their faces...
How Rob and Kristen held hands...
Even when the photographers were there.
How Rob went in for the kiss...
How happy they look.
Is this a new beginning?
Is hand-holding and quick kisses going
to become normal behavior from now on?
Is London Calling?
And why is it so loud?
Did anyone see this man?? |
Tom Sturridge.
Where for art thou, Young Thomas?
Did you in fact fly to NYC
to be with your best friend?
People were all over the place saying you were there...
But not any pictures that I've seen.
Of course...
There were barely any pictures of Kristen
So I suppose you could have been 'lurking'.
Somewhere.
Out there.
I miss your face, Tom...
Even with Sienna is better than nothing.
Stop hiding!
You Say It Best... |
It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart
Without saying a word, you can light up the dark
Try as I may I could never explain
What I hear when you don't say a thing
The smile on your face lets me know that you need me
There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me
A touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall
You say it best when you say nothing at all
All day long I can hear people talking out loud
But when you hold me near, you drown out the crowd
Oh Mr. Webster you could never define
What's being said between your heart and mine
Without saying a word, you can light up the dark
Try as I may I could never explain
What I hear when you don't say a thing
The smile on your face lets me know that you need me
There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me
A touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall
You say it best when you say nothing at all
All day long I can hear people talking out loud
But when you hold me near, you drown out the crowd
Oh Mr. Webster you could never define
What's being said between your heart and mine
When You Say Nothing At All. |
And that says it all...
Doesn't it?
Exactly.
This post is brought to you by the letter *L*

It's so clearly obvious how much

I haven't stopped laughing since Sunday Night.
I mean... seriously laughing.

can you see it?
Hi dottie,
Where is Believe? I need to pick her brain.
I like when the. ask you if you'll be dining in your car. Which is just what we do when we're all hungover on our last day in Vegas and have the cab driver stop their on our way to the airport.
For you Midwestern gals I've always enjoyed Steak n Shake as well.
Fio - She's called Bracken
Smit-
hhmmm..i'm not a huge mustard lover, but I can do light mustard if its on a burger.
Well now you know what to do when you get home, first stop is In n'out double-double animal style.
Gotta have it with an extra large giant ass Dr. Pepper though!! YUM!
Hi Penny--
Hope you are doing good. I like your egg/bunny/rabbit thing.
DK- I see.. too bad..
Angelica- what a cute name...
Tigerlily, you are so polite in the way you asked for Sue's recipe.
Unlike me, I was like, "I want that recipe NOW!!!!" And she was still sweet and shared it w/me anyway!
Angelica- Did you have a fun day ;)
Smitty- I'm a mustard girl too :)
PL~I have ther perfect thing!
Make Rice Crispy Treats by following the recipe. Instead of putting them into a pan to cool form them into egg shapes but flatten off the top. You can also flatten off the bottom if you want what will be a Rice Crispy basket to stand up.
Once your "baskets" are formed you have a couple of choices. You can tint vanilla frosting green or you can use brown frosting. Frost the top of the "basket" and sprinkle with the flower shaped colorful jimmies/sprinkely thingys. If you want to get daring, I am sure you could figure out some kind of handle like a licorice lace or something.
Sydney,
Steak n Shake is good. Their shakes are better than the burgers though.
Thanks, my dog Jedi is the sweetest, she is all about giving hugs.
I recently got a kitty, which is odd cuz i've never been around a cat ever in my life but he is cool as hell and acts just like a puppy and actually plays fetch better than any dog I have ever owned.
Groovie--noooo the chocolate shake.
Okay--be careful with animal style because they cook the burger in the mustard so you gotta like mustard to like it. I don't want you to not like it and be cursing me--hahaha.

I <3 you
Michael Stanley is a Radio DJ in my area now.
Hi PL- sorry I missed you before..
Hi Smitty,
I don't know if that is a headless rabbit or a egg with appendages.
Believe,
That sounds perfect. Maybe little jelly beans in it. I could get lazy and make chenille handles.
Thank you, thank you.
Hi Penny and Super :)
Penny she was just here. Maybe she stepped away for a minute.

PL~Love your bunny...did you see the Rice Crispy Basket?
Smitty-
Okay, I'll take my sister and make her order animal style and then if I don't like it she gets to eat it.
That way I won't be like "dammit smitty this is fucking gross!"
lol jk, i totally wouldn't do that, well maybe I would but you gave me fair warning so yea
Fio, Just have to join in here on the discussion of the south of Italy. The south is my favorite - best food, friendly people and my favorite place on earth - the Amalfi Coast and Positano. Don't get me wrong I love all of Italy but Positano is so romantic and charming. Would love it if you shared some recipes.
Loved Rose's post yesterday especially the "that girl" part. Grr, what is with these crazies? Why do we even have to hear their insane rantings? Why do they think they have the right to have opinions on someone's private relationship? Why are they so delusional?
I'm still feeling warm and fuzzy from Sunday's excitement. Rob was his usual charming, handsome self, Kristen looked gorgeous and the movie looks amazing! Can't wait to see it.
Does anyone else notice comments jumping or is it just me?
DK~How is the keyboard?
@Smitty
Ditto, chicka.
Fio-
Truly nothing warms your heart more than a hug by a big, sweet dog happy to see you!
Smitty and Groovie,
All this talk of animal style just brings a whole different picture to my mind. Sorry, I had to say it.
Oops..."stop THERE." I swear I know the difference between their, there and they're. I was English major. Sad.
PL- I LOVE Steak n Shake. But that's probably because I never get to have it. And you have to have the double steak burger. The single, for some reason just doesn't taste as good. But yeah, their shakes are to die for.
wow so many food comments, i am officially starving!
Groovie- I might have to join you on your In N' Out for dinner. Animal style is amazing, go for it:)
Isn't the Midwest big on Chic-fil-a ??
Maybe that is the south?
Groovie- I would totally do that to my sister..:)
Susan- I really want those cookies now :)
Thanks DK
I was just getting ready to type it out.
Tigerlily
DK just posted the recipe for me
Sorry, I also included Cate's Apple Cookies recipe but I'm sure it's tasty, too.
DK- thanks for the recipes <3
Luv London- you said it! Amalfi is like the best place here..
Sydney-
We have Steak N Shake's down here but I never get a burger. Always the Frisco Melt with extra sauce.
Glad you all In and Out peeps are telling what you eat there. Won't be doing the Animal Burger (not a mustard fan).
RHONDA- since you are talking music. I'm glad Liza was talking about Seth Lakeman. He's very good.
I'm currently into the band Discovery.
LOL Penny!! Mind in the gutter..
i could totally see where that would sound bizarre.
@SB
You are most welcome and thanks for the delicious recipe.
Smitty- Yes, there's a Chik-fil-a on every corner around here :)
Rhonda, Yes we had a really good day!
PL - You said exactly what I've been TRYING not to think.LOL
Dk- Hi! Thank you for posting the world famous cookie recipe:)
Smitty~Did you get to see the picture of Srgt. Syd? Oh, he has handcuffs!
Smitty -- I know what you are saying about timing for the Oscar's but there's always the Silence of the Lambs as the proof point that if its really good people remember. It was released 0on February 14 of 1991 -- great Valentine's Day date movie LOL -- and I remember the reviews at the time were all saying that it was a shame that it was so early in the year because both Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster gave Oscar worthy performances. Thirteen months later it swept the Oscars. Would love to see another exception to the rule next year.
Melinda- Yes, I'm really into him right now ;)
Angelica,
Thank you for saying that. I knew I couldn't be the only one going there.
Believe,
I did see the Rice Crispy thing and thanks.
What's a Chik-fil-a?
sorry for ignorance..
Chik-fil-a is big in the south. My son would eat there everyday if he could! Their waffle fries are yummy.
Is he really Susan--that's kind of sad. I like his voice. Wish he still performed.
Groovie--I would totally do that same thing--hahaha. Like dam bitch--shouldn't have listened. I think you'll like it.
Penny--hahahahah I didn't say doggy I said ANIMAL. LOL
chik-fil-a has some awesome sandwiches though..their chicken is so juicy and yummy and like... real?? I dunno, it's just good.
They are usually only in the malls here in the valley though so I don't go that often.
I live in Tempe, AZ.
Rhonda - I forot to say,Seth Lakeman is really good :)
PL
Don't worry--I read In and Out and animal style and my brain went straight to the gutter.
Dottie- YES! waffle fries are super yummy!
Hey PR pro and Roseland, I see lots of food talk.As a southerner I can attest to chic fil-a. Their shakes are amazing as well!
Susan,
I didn't even make the In and Out connection but now I see it. Gee, thanks.
Smitty & Penny-
You know damn well people go up to the drive-thru and order their burgers doggy style all the time just to get a reaction.
Wonder what kind of burger they end up with....
New WFE TV spot just came on -- they are using a contemporary music bed for a montage of Reese and ROb -- excellent way to draw in audiences who shy away from period films.
Fio a chik-fil-a sandwich is just a fried chicken breast filet on a bun w/a pickle. So simple and good!
Anyone hear of Amos Lee? He's my music boyfriend right now. "Careless" and "Learned A Lot" are always playing on my iPod lately.
Real Pr--from your lips to God's ear but I think for Rob --whether deserved or not and he would say not--that's its just way too early. Let the twi stuff get done and released and I am sure he'll get there some day. Someone said that to him and he got almost defensive like there is no fing way right now. He felt stupid even answering. I hope it wins for other things though--Reese especially delivers big time and there should be one for Tai too--lol!
Susan and PL- LOL, makes total sense;)
Chick-fil-A is pretty common here in Denver too. I like the spicy chicken...and they serve it Southern style - naked with pickles. Ooohhh that sounded kind of dirty too.
Did anyone hear from Freddie? I'm wondering how Tomas is.
Groovie- I'm in Tennessee and there everywhere around here :)
Sue, as Roseland residents, aren't we required to keep our minds in the gutter at all times??? LOL
Smitty - I really do believe he will get there one day.
SueBee- Thankyou so much for sharing the recipe. Can't wait to try it over Easter.
DK- Thankyou for posting it & the apple cookie recipe -yum!
Dottie- Being 'new' I feel like I am interrupting... whenever I pipe in with a comment.. Its probably nervous politeness ;) ..But I like your stlye ;)
Groovie,
You are totally right there. All the high school boys do that I bet.
Can anyone here explain to me this new obsession with chicken and waffles? IHOP now has it. It sounds weird. Is it breakfast or dinner? WTF?
Thanks for explaining LOL
IB- I knew her Thomas had the visit tomorrow..
or.. today.. oh jeez.. this time difference is so annoying.
I could see tai accepting the Oscar!
Would be EPIC! LOL
Dottie - I think I was born with my mind in the gutter and it rarely climbs out!
@Smitty
Links I gave you, lead to youtube of course.
The songs were posted on 4/19/11, at 147 & 208 am, under Rose's "Twirl With That Girl" commentary.
SJ -- whenever I travel down south I live on red velvet cake. The version we make up here is an abomination.
Hi Everyone! So many comments tonight. What are these cookies and where can I get some?!
LMAO at the Italian phase, Smitty! Italians are so pervy (I'm allowed to say this growing up with 6 boy cousins in Italy). Their first words were curse words.
Fio - I had no idea things in Naples were that bad. I've noticed a lot of foreigners in Calabria the past few visits there. They sell trinkets on the beach and all sleep 20 in a van parked on the side of the road. Crazy.
To answer your question from before - yes, I've been to Rome. Several times actually. The last time I was there was when the Pope died. We didn't plan it, but happened to leave the day he passed. We stayed in Vatican City and it was like nothing I've ever seen before. Thousands upon thousands of pilgrims from every country in the world, camped on every spot of green space in the Vatican. They stayed up lighting candles and signing songs - it was an amazing experience. The only problem was I hadn't told my family in Italy I was in the country because I wanted to do the 'tourist' thing and was so paranoid I would show up on RAI television or something. There were so many cameras everywhere. This must be what Rob & Kristen feel like on a daily basis! LOL!
Anyway, all your comments are making me hungry. I'm going to get a snack!
Tigerlily
You're very welcome
dottie
I don't know if its a requirement but I tend to be there (gutter) more often than not.
I should change my avi to a gutter! LOL
Smitty, I kind of understand Rob's point on that. Even when you know you've done a great job it probably feels almost presumptuous, like youre tempting fate or something.
Hey Rhonda, where in TN are you?(if you don't mind telling) In 6 wks I am moving back to N AL, just south of Nashville. We will be neighbors!
*IB*
I still haven't installed the new keyboard, been slumming, once again.
Smitty- I agree with Angelica. I think it's only a matter of time ;)
Sue, you can be the gutter on the roof and I'll be the gutter on the street! haha
You can order fries animal style too--lol
Oh and there is a doggy style burger--its actually a burger with no bun--just cheese and meat and its for dogs.
Basically the employees will not say no. You know they will do root beer floats--we used to get them after school all the time.
Penny Lane-
Chicken and Waffles- it's a dinner thing. My SIL's family eat them. I just can't.
Wait - which one of you has the sweet mustard sauce? I'd love to see that recipe. I'm not making the ham...but I will be eating it and that sounds delicious. I'm on appetizers. Again.
Smitty and Pr pro,
I don't know anything about anything but it seems if someone gets their oscar at a young age their career seems to halt.
Rob has plenty of time to earn his oscar and I bet he will.
Hi Tigerlily :)
Smitty - My dogs would be very pissed off if they got a burger with no bun!
Angelica, just join the club! Gutter sisters unite!
Mr. Bee would probably order a doggy style burger and a large Doctor Pecker.
:oP
Of course I would be smirking in the passenger seat!
I don't think I'll ever act my age!
dottie-
I agree with that.
There are so many films and performances that are award worthy that don't get recognition and others that do that sometimes may be viewed as not worthy.
A lot of it is political in nature I feel.
But Rob has a lot of talent, I think he and Kristen both are unfairly judged because of some peoples views on Twilight, but the peformances speak for themselves and they will both get there one day.
No need to throw it at him and be like, so dude are you going to get an oscar for this?
That is kind of a humiliating question to ask anyways!
SMITTY...Do they ever give animals an Oscar nod? Heh..maybe they will make an exception for Tai!
Fio..I would trade you 10 chick fil A sandwiches for one authentic Italian homecooked meal! (Believe me, I would be getting the better deal). lol
IB..I have been concerned about FREDDIE today..Hope things turn out ok....
SUE BEE..I am definitely going to make those cookies
Good Night Everybody!
DK- If I may I have a request..
Its a band from Sydney,Australia called 'Boy & Bear'.
A cover they did called "Fall at your Feet"
It's a really beautiful song..as are their others. They are a bit "folky" Is that a word? lol
Similar sound to Mumford & sons
I'm be curious what you ladies think.
Dottie- I'm East TN..near the mountains..but I go to Nashville regularly :)
PR PRO, As a southerner, I'm partial to Caramel Cake. There is a place in Annapolis MD called Caroline's that ships anywhere. (remember, MD was the south before the War) I recommend it highly! My cousins in the north love it!
Honestly what I always admired of Rob and Kristen was their being down to earth...
I think Rob will always say he doesn't deserve it.. I can picture him saying that on the stage with Oscar in his hands LOL
But you know.. it's just matter of time...
Everything will come on the right time.
MysoCalledLife- When Pope died.. it was huge. There were people coming form every corner of the world and as well there are people cmoing now that he's being made "blessed".. (I dont know if that's the word in English) LOL.
Anyway.. he was a great pope.. I don't like this one a lot to be honest haha Byt may be just some prejudices cause he's German (can't help it).
Lol at you may-be-appearing on the Rai! hahaha
Smitty -
Get out? there is seriously a doggy style burger?
LOL okay Jedi is gonna get one of those soon!
I have heard fries Animal style are good too.
I feel like you can just order totally random stuff and they are like "okay cool" and just do whatever you want...again with no attitude!
Susan - Unfortunately,I married a grown up,don't know what I was thinking. He just sits there and shakes his head at my behaviour ;)
Night Super!
Tigerlily- I love Mumford and Sons, so I will check them out :)
Wow MySoCalledLife - that is an amazing story. What an experience. I am Catholic and remember that vividly. Though I was nowhere near Italy. Would it be morbid to say I'm jealous?
Hey now Smitty - not just for dogs! Also for us sad sacks on low carb diets.
Super- let's make a deal then!
i'm so curious about these sandwiches now haha
Chicken and waffles--I tried it. It just seemed wrong. lol but they were both good--just not together. Waffles are breakfast and chicken isn't. EXCEPT I like chic fil a's chicken sandwich for b-fast. go figure.
That's another one with good customer service--they always say "Its my pleasure" ---lol--kind of cute and southern.
The owner of Chic-Fil-A is pretty interesting. He's really religious but really involved in alot of good things too--like social causes and stuff. And they have books and dvd's as giveaways for kids.
Tigerlily - Is that a cover of the Crowded House "Fall at your feet"?
Hello Roseland,
This is Grand Central Station tonight. I'm a bit overwhelmed with the subjects matter:movies, animals, music, food,or is it sex?
Night Super!
I agree that Rob's day will come... and not only his....
Sjjw- Oh, caramel cake..one of my favorites. We have a bakery here that makes one of the best!
Birdie,
It's food, but the gutter crew are thinking sex.
Smitty- you mean they give books and DVDs for free? LMAO
the best we get here are statuettes form children movies LOL
Yea the chik-fil-a owner is really religious, that's why they aren't open on sundays!
I have a funny chik-fil-a story. Went to the drive-thru, the chick was totally nice and sweet but was not the brightest crayon in the box.
I said I wanted a #2 (chicken delux) with cheese and lettuce only.
And she was like "okay, so you want just the bun and lettuce and cheese and a large dr.pepper"
and i was like "um, no? I want the chicken too!"
and she was all "OH!!"
LOL! why would I go to chik-fil-a to order a cheese sandwich?
@Tigerlily & Lindsey
Thanks and Hi! Yes, I'll look for the song and post it.
@PL
Nice to see you, as always.
@sjjw
Thanks for the caramel cake info. Yummy!
Sydney--nope those are protein style---hahaha
They wrap the whole thing in really big fresh lettuce leaves.
Dottie- agree.
I see it coming for Kristen before actually..
Hey Birdie, doesnt it always boil down to sex here? haha
Another thing about chik-fil-a is they are closed on Sunday. It's kind of quaint.
How about a Bacon and Carmel Sundae? They had them at restaurant we went to when we were away at a cheer competition...I just couldn't eat it.
Groovie- Lmao! that's funny! I think they are like Robot there after some time..
@Birdie!
IB - That's just....NO!
Smitty -- I was actually thinking cinematography, art direction, and costume design -- from what we've seen so far the period detail and pallettte is gorgeous while still evoking the threadbare Depression era. Agree on the too soon part for Rob -- THe Academy like to see dues paid. But based on the choices he is making material-wise I think he could very well follow the trajectory of Leonardo DiCaprio, who didn't allow himself to get trapped in the Titantic hearthrob pigeonhole, and chose roles based on the challenge instead of the boxoffice potential.
Hi Fio. My hubby and I visited Italy right after we were married. We travelled all over the country for two weeks. His cousin was working in Como - rough right!? When we were in Rome, we had the opportunity to have "an audience with the Pope". We went to St. peter's with 10000 other people....he passed right by me and I touched his robe. He was amazing as he spoke in lime 10 different languages. My husband turned to me and said, " you have just been with the most famous man on earth" He was so impressive and it was a great experience. This was in the90's. I love Italy...especially Venice, I have to say....
IB-
EWww! bacon sundae?
I would pass on that.
My friend showed me a picture the other day of Bacon Roses..like strips of bacon that someone shaped into a bouqet of roses.
So weird!
Groovie--thats crack...why exactly would you go there for the bun?? Although they do grill the buns in butter so maybe it would be good if you were a veg?
Rhonda and TigerLilly--I love M& Sons--like played Little Lion Man about 1000 times a day for a while there. lol
SMITTY..Heh.. The owner of Chick Fil A gave the commencement address at my sons school when he graduated two years ago..He was fantastic...He lives in Georgia...
Good Night and take care.
Groovie,
I had a similar experience at McDonald's. Ordered a burger with just ketchup and I got a bun with ketchup on it and no meat.
Hi DK,
Busy place her lately. It's hard to keep up.
Fio - I still feel guilty about not telling them I was in Italy. They would have driven the 8 hours north to come see me and I don't think they would have been able to get to us. From what I remember, Rome was essentially shut down during that time.
Sydney - it was an amazing experience. We were so naive, when we first arrived there, we thought we could just hop over to St. Peters to see the Pope.
We joined the crowd of people and after about 2 hours of moving maybe 5 yards, we gave up and went to a bar for gelato.
DK - thanks for posting the cookie recipe.
So many comments tonight - I can't keep up!
Anyone ever try bacon and chocolate? I know -- sounds horrible. And yet it's not.
IB- I love ice cream but I'll pass on the bacon..lol..that's just not right ;)
sj- i must say you are a lucky lady..
i've been here my whole life and didn't get the chance to see him near.. and feel very sorry about it :(
Just realized I said "my whole life" as if I was 78 LOL
I'm sorry Groovie. I just noticed you already mentioned CFA is closed on Sun. Well, I guess we've covered that topic!
PL - McDonalds did ask me if I wanted cheese on my cheeseburger the other week
Oh good, thanks you Smitty for clearing that up. I'd hate to order something for dogs and be seen eating it. Guess that makes sense - less messy and all with the lettuce.
Do you California girls like Del Taco? I remember getting burritos with fries in them. And also deep fried tacos from Jack in the Box, which now, just the thought of, makes me ill. Loved it in college though.
@Smitty
Haven't put on any Mumford songs yet, but will. 8)
Dottie-
yea but you said it was "quaint" that they were closed on sunday and I think that's cute and I never really though of it that way before but you are right!
sometimes it's nice to see a place just closed down so the employees can actually spend time with family and stuff. that is important!
Smitty- Lol, I know, I wore it out too :)
You let me know what you think of SL
I love White Blank Page by Mumford and Sons.
I listen to it over and over
Super~I can't remember...help me....what's the name of the corn dog places in the malls that also sell lemonade? They were in all the malls in SC.
IB- That doesn't sound all that good....just no.
I shouldn't be promoting the competition but I do like the fact that Chick-fil-a is closed on Sundays and they are very good with customer service. And I love their chick-n-minis!
I have a $15 itunes gift card and have a list of a few random songs and then a couple albums I want to purchase.
I haven't decided between the Mumford & Sons album or Arcade Fire album.
Any help?
I am just laughing here. There is no way to decipher what you are all saying. This place is schizophrenic tonight.
realprpro - bacon & choc... it's probably got that savory/sweet thing going for it.
I'm having trouble keeping up tonight. I swear I've got jet lag!
MySocalledlife- it was a good choice then... after all a little "omission" is no harm if for good!
Sydney--Jack in the Box is like the poor cousin of In n Out but okay in a pinch. Del Taco is lol--okay I think of it as what to have late at night when you have been partying. They did have this cute little "hunger" character though --feed your hunger and the commercial had this little guy next to customers in line. It was cute--lol
Sausage and maple syrup is pretty good...
Fio, I realize that now! I've teased hubby forever, b/c we literally jogged through the Sistine Chapel to get there on time! I was an art history major in college, so I wanted to spend more time! but I realize now what a great experience it was seeing him, especially that Pope.
IB- Are you talking about Denton's??
Groovie - I'd go for Mumford & Sons
My mother used to give us bacon and peanut butter sandwiches instead of BLT's because we wouldn't eat the tomato and lettuce. They're actually pretty good.
Groovie--buy both--but if only one I gotta vote M&Sons. They are just full on unique and just amazeballs.
Groovie
Absolutely Mumford and Sons
sj- Ditto!
PrPro - what's not to love about chocolate & bacon? I'd check it out.
I didn't think I'd like chocolate covered potato chips or deep fried oreos either and those YUM!
How do you eat it though? Is the bacon dipped in chocolate? I'm intrigued...
Groovie- Mumford..definitely!
MySoCalledLife: the Pope came to Denver for World Youth Day when I was like 13ish. It was amazing. Huge giant crowds and we weren't that close and I certainly didn't get to touch him but it was amazing. My Dad would tell you that's as close to God as you're ever going to get in your lifetime. The energy was indescribable.
PR PRO, Bacon and chocolate? I'll take your word for it. a chef once to,d me to put pepper on strawberries. Try it, it's great!
Groovie, I'd choose M&S. Did you ever check out Adele? I finally stopped obsessively listening to her new CD. Now I am on old stuff. Rolling Stones, Police, Van Morrison...
okay mumford & sons it is!
Although I'll probably just buy both anyways lol but i wanted something new to listen to while i'm working tomorrow.
oh and Jack in the box has amazing Tacos!
2 for 99 cents, can't be that.
Not too sure what is in them exactly, but they are good. it's like a yummy, greasy, mystery!
Who asked earlier about an animal winning an Oscar? Here's a fun fact for you -- when the first Oscar ballots where counted back in 1927 they had to do a recount for Best Actor because the performer who won the most votes was ... a German Shepherd named Rin Tin Tin. I say Tai should start schmoozing the members of the Academy.
No, Rhona, the place was Denny's.
I am feeling left out we have sucky fast food places in Upstate NY. Just your boring McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King.
Who saw the award show with M&Sons, Dylan and another band(2 brothers)? They were similar, but can't remember their name. Anyone know?
Grovie-
M and S would get my vote. Loving the song Thistle and Weeds. Been playing it over and over.
Whoa! Can you guys hear my stomach growling? Lol!
PrPro- LOL Rin Tin Tin was just awesome. Didnt know about this.. thanks for sharing! <3
Dottie- i recently listened to Crazy love by van Morrison.. and just fell in love with it..
so soft..
birdie, the band you mean is the .avert Brothers, my favorite band! they are amazing...from North Carolina.
IB- don't tell me about it haha
have nothing of what you are talking about.. LOL
just Mc and Burger King...
I remember Del Taco from when I lived in CA. Kind of a step above Taco Bell. And of course, Jack in the Box.
Sue sausage and maple syrup = yes! Especially if you add a pancake! Oh man! I may have to go make some pancakes and sausages soon.
Birdie-
I think it was the Avrett Brothers Band. Not sure if I'm spelling it right.
I hear you Rhonda. This sucks, I just got home from work, am starved and trying to eat healthy. Shit and now all I want is a big fat burger. Thanks guys!
Birdie, I am on an iPad and can't type...The Avett Brothers. They were on Fallon with Kristen.
Fio & Dottie-
Yes! Crazy Love is a wonderful song, it's just so simple, which is what makes it so beautiful.
My youngest sister is all about the background singers in that song, whenever it comes on my ipod and we are driving around she turns into this soulful background singer.. "love!" "love!" HAHA!
Believe,
We have nothing special here either. McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Taco Bell. Steak N Shake is 45 minutes away.
Fiorels -- Rinty was cool but I was more of a Lassie girl myself. But my all time favorite canine thespian was Eddie on Frasier. To hell with saving kids trapped in a well -- Eddie has 'tude!
Melinda- That's a good one :)
Sjjw- Avert Brothers...awesome!
Fio, I agree "Crazy Love" is a sweet song. Very soulful.
IB - Amen! I'm with you. Why can't we get an In & Out burger around these parts? I'd travel far to have one.
Rhonda - Adele! I am obsessed!! She is just.... amazing!
DK - maybe some time in the next few days you could fit some Adele into the rotation? That would be wonderful :)
Groovie- LOL hahah just like me when I hear "kiss the girl" from the disney movie..
i'm all "shalalalalala... kiss the girl wow wow.." LOL
PrPro- I also am more a lassie girl also cause Rin Tin Tin was more my parents' generation.
here we have a dog in a TV series, called Turbo. He's so smart. a Border Collie.
They are the smartest dogs..
Anyone a fan of Stewart's Root Beer drive ins? Best hot dogs and root beer floats on the planet.
All this talk of food is making me hungry. I think I'll go make some popcorn.
Talk to you all later
Night.
Sjjw- Lol, I spelled it wrong too..:)
@Birdie
I usually get you with my hot dogs talking, too.
Rhonda, my hubby went to school in Nashville and loves all kinds of music. I first saw them in 2006 and have been hooked ever since. The Avetts are amazing!d
Smitty - oh for sire In n Out is the best. But I lived in Mission Beach (for those familiar with SD)nd there was a Jack n the Box across from the roller coaster close to my house. And more importantly, they were open 24 hours and let you walk through the drive thru. So at 2am when the bars closed, everyone would head over there for cheap, late night food.
Dottie - I think Tupelo Honey is my favourite Van Morrison
Avett Brothers! Thank you Melinda. That was a great performance, but the young bands out performed poor Bob.
I love Adele as well.
and Macy Gray.. gah.. what a voice!
Anyone ever heard of 5 Guys Burgers and Fries??
We have them here and I think they are like In N Out.
real pr pro
We have A & W drive ins here. I think they're pretty yummy. :o)
Night PL!
I know A&W rootbeer drive ins but not stewarts--that sounds good too.
Ok, I need to go. Starving now. I want animal style so badly--hahaha.
Fio-
LOL I do that too, like the part when Scuttle tries to sing-along, i always do that.
Kiss the girl is one of the best disney songs!
that and a whole new world is awesome.
oh and I LOVE "I won't say I'm in Love" from Hercules..that song is great.
MySoCalledLife- I love her..beyond amazing! I'm going to see her in concert this Summer :)
PR PRO; Chocolate and bacon Easter eggs--check this out! People wait in line to get there here in Chicago http://www.vosgeschocolate.com/boutiques. So yummy!
Anyone have any new and different potato recipes for Easter dinner--I'm mashed potatoed out. Did I miss the honey mustard recipe?
@MySCL
Anytime, just holler. Perhaps tonight for them all, for I go over the comments looking for songs mentioned or requested.
Good Night PL!
I was thrilled because we finally got a Fudrucker's in area and it closed within six months becuase of declining sales.
prpro, Fio - I'm Team Lassie.
Bye Smitty-
Sorry for causing your cravings, but I'll have an Animal Style for you tonight and I'll have to let you know how it is next time..
Groovie- awww that one from hercules is awesome! love that too!
hahahah oh and the Scuttle part haha I laugh so hard everytime "hua huah hauha huaaaaaa"
Ok.. just realized there's no way to render it here.. and I was making the sound out loud hahaha
I finally got to try a Sonic, when we were at a competition, of course.
Night Smitty, I'll go with doggy :)
@jwales123
Me, too! I am a Chicagoan.
Also, love a Angus beef hot dog wrapped with bacon and deep friend, with mustard I add. Heavenly.
lol PL you are right, when you say you want it "animal style" it does sound dirty!
And dottie- you are right, mind in the gutter is a must here, but thats what makes it fun!
Night Penny :)
Melinda- We have 5 guys here...I love the fries :)
Birdie-
Poor Bob is right. I'm sure they (M&S, ABB) were stoked to get to play with him but man has he deflated. It's sad. Especially when you had Mick J. who is abt 10 years older still jamming and stuff on stage.
DK, I could use one of those hot dogs now. I have a bag of Target popcorn. Not going to cut it.
