Rob and Kristen-- Remember When?

You may or may not have noticed...
that I've been feeling particularly nostalgic lately.
Digging up old posts.
Old pics.
Watching old videos...
Missing how Twilight used to make me feel.

Remember when Rob and Kristen did the MTV
Twilight Tuesday interviews?
That was the beginning...
The looks.
(The start of the "Robsten" bubble)
The intimate way they touched each other.
(Yeah, she picked something off his mouth... Pretty damn intimate)
The knowing smiles.
We pretty much saw them fall in love.

And so what happened the other day?
To pile on to my already wistful mood?

This comes out.
Breaking Dawn 2 pics in EW.
And this really affected me.
Maybe because I was already all sappy and mushy...
But seeing Edward and Bella again
Well.
It made me happy.
It made me excited.
It made me realize that no matter that
those books will never win a Pulitzer Prize
and those movies will never get critical acclaim...
I don't care.

I LOVE THEM.

And I will miss them when they are done....
and we don't have any more movies to look forward to.
How can any fan of Robert and Kristen NOT love these movies?

We actually got to watch these two people fall for each other.
And wasn't it lovely to see?
Didn't it make you go...
Awwww

You could tell with each passing interview...
and subsequent photo-shoot
that they were ...
Dare I say it?
Falling in love for the last time.

And no...
I never 'shipped' Robert and Kristen in their real lives
But when it became so obviously apparent
that they were in it for the long haul
How could I not cheer for them?
How could I not love seeing how happy they made each other?
How could anyone not adore watching them in love?

So yeah...
It's almost like when your little one goes to Kindergarten.
You watch them grow up
You love and adore them
You smile and laugh with them...
But one day
One day you know you will have to drop them off
and watch them walk into that door
without you.
You have to let them go.

So goes Edward and Bella.

They are all grown up now.

We get one more movie.
One more round of interviews
and magazine covers and promo and red carpets...
And lots of after parties!
Hopefully like this...

And NO that
NEVER GETS OLD!
NEVER
EVER
I WILL FOREVER USE THESE PICS
TO CELEBRATE HOW ADORABLE THEY ARE TOGETHER.
OK.
Sorry about the caps lock ranty thing.
I'm better.
Maybe.

Final thoughts?

It's bittersweet to think of the whole Twilight saga
being almost over with.
But it has been pretty damn sweet for the most part... hasn't it?
It brought together Rob and Kristen
and this whole fandom...
And we have Rob and Kristen spreading their wings
and doing other exciting projects
And really...
Just because the movies are over
We all know Rob and Kristen are happily together.
So while it is bittersweet...
I think I will stick with the sweet
and leave the bitter to those who can't
be happy for 2 people who just happen to love each other.

This post is brought to you by the letter *S*

S for
Thomas Sturridge

I saw this picture and it made me wonder...
Has Tom given up smoking too?
I mean... with a baby on the way and everything
It's a possibility, isn't it?

Isn't he adorable?
Yes.
Yes he is.

And S for
Shades

The future is so fucking bright...
You're going to need them.

Until next time.

Bye for now

Rob and Kristen- 10 Good Things.

One look says it all...

There is a lot of negativity out there in this fandom.
I know... I sometimes promote it.
Hey... What can I say?
I'm a cynic by nature.
I see some of the bullshit... I respond to it.
So sometimes it's better if I just post without reading
my email/DMs/Twitter/Blog first.

So...
I decided to try and write about the 10 things
I love about this fandom...
The movies... the books... the people.
OK... OK...
10 might be a stretch
(See? Cynicism)
But there really have been GOOD things
to come out of all this.
There really has.
And btw...
Before I get started.
You DID note my being a cynic... right?
And me...
Who doesn't believe anything at face value
Who doesn't trust easily
Who has doubts on the best of intentions
Has no trouble believing in
Rob and Kristen.
Imagine that.

OK.

10 Things I Love About Twilight
And its Fandom
(in no particular order)

This is as close to Edward as I am ever going to get...
1. Edward.

Funny thing is...
Over the course of the last 3 years
(Yes, it's been 3 years and I'm still here!)
I've forgotten about my love for Edward.
I mean... he started this all.
I know the Twilight books get a lot of shit...
And OK... they aren't classic masterpieces.
But they were enjoyable to read
and they had Edward.
You gotta give Stephenie Meyers credit for that.
I was completely fascinated by Edward.
And I had a version of him in my head...
And when I saw the above picture of Rob?
I knew everything was going to be OK.
This is why Twilight remains my favorite of the movies
(Thus far)
Because it gave me my Edward...
and with Edward came Robert Pattinson.

Hello Edward!

I can admit it.
I STILL get chills when I see this scene.
Edward strolling into the cafeteria...
Looking all beautiful and complex.
It was the first time I got to see my Edward
up close...
and outside of my head.
I wasn't disappointed.

Why so gorgeous Robert?
2. Shit... I'm only on 2???

OK.
So Edward leads us to Robert.
And oh what a joyous wonderful trip it has been!
Robert Pattinson.
Whom I briefly recalled as the beautiful boy from Harry Potter...
Crashed into my head...
and my heart
with every new picture I saw...
with every adorable, charming
completely mesmerizing word he uttered.
And it never seemed to have an end...
Because with every interview
I found something else to love
about this modest, witty and adorkable man.
And he still has that effect on me
Even now.

And that brings us to...

Big green eyes and they're as wide as the moon.
3. Kristen.
Well.
Twilight led me to Kristen as well.
And OK...
At first I was a bit envious of her close proximity
to Robert Pattinson.
I didn't know much about her
But as time went along
I saw a lot of things I liked.
First of all...
She's naturally beautiful
She's shy and awkward in public
(Although she is proving to have conquered that recently)
She's not a girly girl..
who is overly concerned with her hair and makeup
She dresses for comfort rather than style...
and yet has a unique style all her own.
She's immensely dedicated to the characters she portrays on screen...
and puts a piece of herself in every one...
which makes her vulnerable.
She's quirky and funny
and she swears as naturally as breathing.
She's honest and doesn't suffer fools gladly.
Best of all?
She makes Robert happy.
Well it's obviously a mutual thing
seeing as they both are beautifully happy
and full of smiles and laughter
when they are together.

And yes.
I find myself kinda protective of her.
I think a lot of the shit that gets thrown at her
on a daily basis
is undeserved and based on jealousy and hatred.
Both wasted emotions.
So I choose to focus on the love and happiness
That I see between her and Robert.

Twirling > Foaming

Those eyes...

4. Thomas Sturridge.
Well... Robert led me to Tom.
I didn't know who he was at first either.
But I kept seeing him...
Kinda in the background where Rob was.
All beardY and lurkY.
And the pictures that came out of Rob and Tom together
always showed two guys who were really great friends.
How can you NOT love that?
Tom goes out of his way not to discuss his friend.
Tom is loyal.
Tom is true.
Tom is Rob's best friend for a reason.
But lets get past Rob for a minute.
Let's look at Tom on his own... OK?
Handsome?
Yes.
I mean... sometimes I think you have to have
piercing eyes and a great jawline
to even be a member of the "Brit Pack"
But Tom is more than gorgeous...
Have you watched some of his movies?
I'm particularly fond of Pirate Radio.
He's funny and sweet and sexy
and his accent?
I stand by my opinion that Tom's accent
trumps Rob's.
It just does.
Listening to him talk makes me meltY...
and swoonY
and any other word I can randomly attach a Y to.
I adore Tom Sturridge.

3 amigos
How can you look at this picture...
and NOT smile?
Rob and Tom.
Laughing and walking.
Being friends.

Loyalty and Friendship mean a lot.

Triangle of heaven?

5. Halfway there!!
WooHoo!

OK.
So...
Being in this Twilight fandom...
has also made me aware of the above...
ROBERT
WALKING.
Yes.
I know you are all aware of my penchant
for the man in motion.
Maybe it started when he strolled thru the cafeteria
in Twilight?
Interesting thought.

Sexy Strut.
Then seeing Rob stroll across the parking lot in New Moon?
Um.
SwoonY
MeltY
Again.
Yes.
I can thank Twilight
(and Catherine Hardwick, I suppose)
for exposing me to my
Robert Pattinson Walking Addiction.
But guess what?
I'm not complaining.
Nope.
Not me.
Never.

Rob. Piano. Died.

7. Robert.
Piano.
Music.
Again...
I must thank Catherine Hardwicke for bringing this to the screen.
She cast Robert.
She introduced him by walking into the cafeteria...
AND
she not only had him play piano in Twilight
but she put a couple of his songs on the soundtrack.
I mean...
Music is important to Edward...
And the imagery of Robert at the piano?
Yeah.
You get it.
I know you do.
So thanks to this...
I'm a huge fan of Rob and his music.
Have you really listened to him play guitar?
It breaks my heart.

I hoping if he has time off that he gets a chance
to explore his musical side...
Perhaps write some (love) songs
and work on a CD?
Heaven.
Puppies are adorkable.
8. Bear
Bear is a positive...
He was in a shelter.
Rob and Kristen
(You know it's true)
rescued his adorable floppy eared self.
Rob says where his dog is... is home.
And since it's their dog...
I guess Kristen is home.

And one small thing...
I have a German Shepherd
(which Bear is part mixed with)
And when I got Kaia...
She was almost completely black
and had floppy ears...
Now?
She is Tan/Black
and her ears are straight up..

Don't mess with her...
That's what happens with puppies.
They grow...
They change...
Their ears sometimes stop being floppy.
Amazing.

As long as they only have ONE personality... I'm OK.

9. Twilight led me to Robert...
And Robert led me here.
3 years ago the forums and blogs about Robert
weren't as plentiful as they are now.
And I found myself commenting at one in particular
more and more often.
ROBsessed was my first taste of what this community
could really offer.
I found women there... who shared my love of Rob
and Twilight.
We could laugh and chat
and knowing they were there...
Sharing my thoughts and feelings...
Made it better for me.
Made me feel OK.
Made me feel like I wasn't completely insane
for crushing on this actor.
I made some good friends there...
And I still love them to this day.
Rob also led me to Twitter.
Twitter is where I go to have a laugh
(and my lord, there are plenty to be found there)
To hang out with like minded people...
Again... I've made some good buddies on Twitter...
People I truly consider friends.
Twitter is also a great place to get
UP TO THE MINUTE news on Rob/Kristen/Tom
and anything else you might have an interest in.
Yes.
I know that a lot of stuff you see on Twitter
needs huge amounts of salt
And you really need a good sense of humor
to plow through the daily bullshit and drama.
But good people.
Good times.
A few laughs...
and knowing its not serious stuff.
It's fucking Twitter.

10. Vampires.
So what if I liked vampires before Twilight?
I've always kinda had a thing for them.
Goes back to "Salem's Lot" by Stephen King
(Good book...you should read it)
I'm kinda fascinated by them.
When I first heard about Twilight
the thing that actually made me buy the books
were that they were about vampires.
So can we thank Twilight for
Vampire Diaries?
True Blood?
Probably not...
I think those were books before Twilight...
and obviously vampires have been around for a long time.
But the look of Vampire Diaries?
That is ALL Twilight
(and more Edward)
And I love both Vampire Diaries
and True Blood...
And sometimes I wonder if those shows would
have been even made if not for the phenomenon
(Damn I can hear Oprah saying that word)
that was Twilight.
Yes?
No?
Maybe so?
It doesn't really matter.
When I don't have Edward to watch...
I can watch Damon and Stephen
or Eric

Now THAT'S a werewolf!

or Alcide
(OK, Alcide is a werewolf... but HOT DAMN
The lyrics...
"Whatta man, whatta man, whatta mighty good man"
Just pops into my head.)

So there you have it.
10 Good things that Twilight brought me.
And my next post?
1 million shitty things about Twilight.
I will try to cut it down by the time I actually post it.
;)

This post is brought to you by the sheep that is green.
Long live the sheep.
May it always be green.
Forever.

Bye for now

Wine, Popcorn and Robert Pattinson.

Let's all go to the lobby
Let's all go to the lobby
Let's all go to the lobby
To get ourselves a treat.

Got your popcorn?
A nice big glass of...
Well
Depending on what time of day
I guess it could be soda
or wine
or beer
or wine
Wine and Popcorn?
Oh hell...
Wine goes good with anything.
Or nothing.
Who needs popcorn?

I've decided to talk about Robert's movies today.
Since he's not giving me much else to discuss.
I mean..
How many times do I have to say
Robert and Kristen are in love?
Exactly.

So since first and foremost I am an
Intoxicated Robert Pattinson fan...
I thought I would go through his movies.

And I'm not counting "Vanity Fair"
Because his scenes were cut.
But he looks absolutely gorgeous in the scenes
that didn't make it to the movie.

OK.

2004: Curse of the Ring, aka "Ring of the Nibelungs"

Um. Yeah.
Not Rob's best look... but still smiling that smile.
I've only seen bits and pieces of this movie.
If Rob's voice hadn't been overdubbed
(Who the fuck replaces THAT voice?)
I would have added it to my Rob collection.

Rob has a small role...
and it's kinda a "Lord of the Ring" kinda thing
My favorite memory of the movie?
When Rob was on Leno with Heidi Klum
And he shyly looked over to her...
pulling his fingers through his hair...
And mentioned he was in a German movie.
SO CUTE!
That interview remains one of my all time favorites to this day.
That's all I got to say about this one.
How many wine drinkers out of 5?

Two.
And that's only because Rob is in it.

2005: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Cedric Diggory.
Can he be any more handsome?
Gotta love Harry Potter movies.
At least I do.
And I will admit that even though I thought
the actor who played Cedric in the movie
was incredibly handsome and sweet...
I guess the thought that he was a teenager
immediately negated him from being on my radar at all.
(Yeah, Rose... Cuz being 21 is SO much better!)
I love this movie.
I love Rob in this movie.
The handsome hero.
Well, I guess Harry is the hero...
But Cedric really outshines Harry in this movie
In every way.
And I love Dan Radcliffe... I do.
But he should make it a rule to never stand
next to Robert Pattinson again.
Ever.

Five drunken fools.
Because it's Harry Potter.
It's a good movie.
Rob looks absolutely gorgeous in it.
And even though the end is a bit sad
(Yeah, Cedric bites the dust)
One of the better Potter movies...
OK, I'm being prejudiced.
So what.

2006: The Haunted Airman

Ahh... The story of Toby Jugg.
Rather depressing movie.
Depressing color.
Depressing setting.
Depressing story.
But Robert?
Ever so beautiful!
And it is a creepy kinda movie...
But I liked it.
And everyone remembers those little clips of Rob
smoking his cigarette... deep in thought.
*swoon*

Rob's character has an affair with his 'aunt'.
Bitch.
(Hahahaha... I'm only kidding. I think.)
Seriously.
She puts her hand in his hair...
More than ONCE.
I hate her for that alone.
(Truly... I'm kidding I don't hate her. Much.)
But that all aside...
My favorite bit of the movie...
is when Toby is lying on the ground when he first
gets to this depressing rehab place thingy.
And he says something like
(I can't find the exact quote at the moment)
"Here's where we come to meet
the end of the world"
That's close enough.

Three drunken sots.
Rob is gloriously gorgeous.
2007: The Bad Mother’s Handbook

Oh sweet Daniel.
Quite possibly my favorite of Robert's pre-Twilight movies.
And hes not even a main character
Sweet story.
Very cute.
Robert is just plain ADORABLE.

I loved this movie.
I love Robert.

Four Pissed Twits

2008: The Summer House

I will admit to not seeing this in its entirety.
But damn... what I have seen is incredibly sexy.
It doesn't even kinda look like Robert.
Weird.
What gets to me is this...

Talulah Riley.
I think I might just hate her.
(Yes, I'm being facetious)
Because not only did she get to do this movie
with a deliciously handsome (heh) Robert...
But she also plays the fair Marianne in "Pirate Radio"
and gets to KISS Tom Sturridge.
What's up with THAT??
How is that even remotely fair?
Tell me!

3 Blitzed Boozers.

2008: How to Be

Art.
Art imitating Rob.
I've always felt that Art was kinda how Rob really is.
You know what I mean.
Adorkable.
Awkward.
Art.

I loved this movie.
Rob is completely charming.
It's a cute story.
AND
he plays guitar and sings
albeit not like Rob would sing.
But still cool all the same.

4 inebriated lushes.

2008: Little Ashes

Rob is phenomenal in this movie.
He proves how serious he is about acting.
He takes risks.
But it wasn't my favorite movie.
Maybe its just because of Dali.
I don't know.
But I do appreciate Robert in this.
And its a beautiful movie, too...
So...

Three Boozy Bozos

2008: Twilight

What can I say?
This movie gave me an Edward that I could see...
That I could hear...
Robert Pattinson is the closest to Edward this world will ever see.
I was so taken with this movie when it first came out.
I couldn't get ENOUGH of it.
Rob strutting into the cafeteria?
Yes.
Top 5 best scenes EVER.
Love this movie.
Love Robert.
Love everything.

Robert became Edward.
Robert met Kristen.
Need I say more?

5 Stewed Guzzlers

2009: The Twilight Saga: New Moon

More Edward.
Nothing wrong with that!
Of course I loved this movie...
Not as much as Twilight
Because Rob wasn't in it as much...
and less Rob
is less fun.
But still.
Edward.
Bella.
Kissing.
And.
ROBERT STRUTTING ACROSS THE PARKING LOT!
That alone is worth the price of admission.

3 Tipsy Winos.

2010: Remember Me

Oh dear.
Oh my.
Robert.
I truly loved this movie.
Yes, mostly because of Rob.
What can I say?
I'm a true fan.
I will follow him through all his choice of roles.
Tyler was a beautiful lost soul.
Rob can portray that wonderfully.
And look good doing it.
I hated the end.
But that's because Tyler dies.
I didn't need that.
Not after Cedric
(MY BOY!!!)
Not Tyler, too...

4 Plastered Carousers

2010: Twilight Saga: Eclipse

Probably the most beautiful Edward so far.
Probably the most romantic Edward.
Probably the first time we get to see the tough
'Don't mess with me, Victoria' Edward.
Yeah.
He takes that bitch DOWN.
Eclipse was my favorite book.
Not sure if it is my favorite of the movies
(thus far)
I find myself getting nostalgic for Edward of old.
But yes... I loved this movie.
Even if there is no strutting Edward.
And truly...
Why would you wanna break my heart?
Why?

5 Intoxicated Sponges.

I can't wait to see how many glasses of wine
Water for Elephants
or
Bel Ami
will get.
Maybe I might need to add more glasses...
You can never have enough wine.
Or popcorn.
Or Robert.

Yeah.
Prospects look good.

So...
I have quite the collection of Rob movies so far.
I don't see that stopping anytime soon.
He just keeps getting better and better.
And if at all possible...
Better looking as well.
Amazing.

I wonder if I will ever get over this intoxication.
I wonder if I will ever want to.

This post is brought to you by the letter *W*

W for Wine.
Me and wine have become intimidate lately.
Close friends.
Buddies.

Cheers for now
