I think of her as a great actress and a underdog that needs my support. Obviously, I became interested in following her because of Twilight, but I am still here many years later supporting her here on ROSELAND because I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the underdog...the one that everybody loves to bully, the one that everybody loves to hate.
She has a wonderful boyfriend that is funny and kind and I respect his acting ability and his fierce devotion and love for her and his friends and his family.
I learned many years ago not to put people up on a pedestal. If you do you will be crushed because we are all human....well trolls are NOT...but nobody but Jesus, God, or whatever Deity you worship can ever really hold up the sign" I am a role model". If they do, it won't last long before they do something that will show they were human after all...with all the mistakes and failings that the title human comes with.
Let's just say I'm proud to be a fan of R and K. I don't hide it from my family or friends..my husband can tell you that it is so...and I will be here on some kind of regular basis because I enjoy like minded individuals as long as Rose has this blog..

I did boycott MTV Awards, but chose to watch Gabriel Iglesias: Aloha Fluffy. I like his comedy. He doesn't cuss; he doesn't use graphic references to sex. This was part 1 & 2 on Comedy Central. It was very funny!

A little off topic: Earlier today, I watch the final round of The Masters. I couldn't believe my eyes when Adam Scott (from Aus) was able to complete a second long putt in the playoff. Okay, all this talk of music at Coachella has prompted me to ask if anyone here has heard of a young Brit by the name of Jake Bugg?

I saw him on Graham Norton a few months back, and his cd is finally available on iTunes. His single 'Lightning Bolt' is really good, and very addicting. He is kind of a cross between Johnny Cash and Paul Simon - maybe? I just know that his music is very good and seems to come from a deeper place than most 19 year olds today. If you haven't heard of him, go to iTunes and check out his single - it is a free download and less than 3 minutes long.
I also am boycotting MMA's. I can't believe that they would snub a movie franchise that brought them so much money and viewers. They certainly didn't treat the last Harry Potter with such contempt. MTV use to be in touch with the younger viewers out there ....but that was a long time ago - in a galaxy far, far away from here.

here is what i think happend: MTV realized pretty early on that they had fucked up by not nominating RK for anything,so they invented a new award that would tap into K's fanbase, but they were such nancy boys about it that they left the voting open till the end of the show so you had to watch to see what happened
2 things they didn't count on were the lord of the rings entire fanbase took it personally that kristen was kicking their ass and once they knew she wasn't going to be there, her fans stopped voting, they did not even give out the award, they just announced it during a commercial break backstage it was like we give up you are right we are just a bunch of douchebags

You made my evening telling me that wanker Ferrell is even more toe cringing then he normally is. Who inflicted this guy upon us? Right from the start it baffled me he was called a comedian. @Tuf, I watched the golf as well. So exciting. Scott had a few brilliant shots, the long put on the 18th to go -9 and of course his winning put, perfection. I was rooting for him, well also for Day (have a soft spot for Aussies) as it became clear Woods (My fav) left it a little too late.

To be honest, I wasn't the least bit interested in what was going to happen there, since Rob and Kristen weren't to attend. It's just not my kind of thing. Maybe I'm getting old LOL

Anyway, I think I've sacrificed my time more than it worth it in this thing. As I've said before, we have Coachella, who cares about MTV?
I'm guessing Rob and Kristen are soon going to be on their way home. Is the events going to continue next weekend or this was it? It was a fun weekend and I got a bit spoilt with seeing Rob and Kristen almost every day for the last few days. I'm hoping for some fan's and not pap's pictures to emerge soon. We'll see.

I downloaded all the artists that played at Coachella this weekend. I already had a bunch of them. New music to listen to makes my day.
@Topaz Emerald...Hot Chip I downloaded last year...yeah lots of alcohol indeed. I deleted them from my itunes. New Order has new album...not too bad. Postal Service with Jenny Lewis...OMG Kristen must have been in heaven, especially since her fave is Jenny Lewis! I also downloaded Brand New Colony, will give it a listen.
