Thank You...

Thank You
Random blurb I saw in a magazine in July 2008
about a popular series of vampire books...
(because I kinda like vampires)
Which led me to immediately buy
Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse
and become all enthralled with Edward
Then Robert
Then Kristen
Then Robert and Kristen.

It was the beginning of my intoxication.

Thank You
Stephenie Meyers and Catherine Hardwicke
for casting
Robert Pattinson
Kristen Stewart
And letting us watch them fall in love.
You are actually
responsible for...
dare I say it...
It's been good
It's been bad
It's been the sweetest ride
We've ever had.
No regrets.

Thank You
who for some reason
just the thought of him and Kristen
really bugs the hell out of some people.
(They will gladly pair him with anyone else)
So thanks for the entertainment factor
just for tweeting your name.
And you're cute.
Like really cute.

Thank You
for the letters P and R
It's because of you that we had to deal with
6 years of the Lunatic Ninnies screaming that
Rob and Kristen were only in a PR relationship
and being hateful bitches towards Kristen.
And what makes matters worse?
Now we have the Bullshit Baby Brigade
screaming the same thing...
And being bitter banshees towards Twigs.
Poor Rob and Kristen.
What did they ever do to deserve fans like that ?
As IF Rob or Kristen would ever
let other people/business dictate
who they wanted to be with.
Complete Bullshit.

Thank You
For not getting the fuck out of here.
I mean...
It's 2015 dammit!
3 years you have been hanging around
like that last drunk asshole
who never wants to go home.
People need to let you go.
You need to go back to the past...
where you belong.

(Although I doubt the Robsessed Fringe could go one hour
without bringing up something related to 2012...
How pathetically sad to be obsessed with a
couple of minutes in someone else's life.)

Thank You
Robert Pattinson
For your talent
Your hair
Your smile
The way you walk...
Your charm
Your laugh
The way you look in sunglasses.
You continue to fascinate me...
I like listening to what you have to say
and I'm always looking forward to what's next.

Thank you
Kristen Stewart
For your talent
Your strength
And how you always stay true
to who you are...
No matter the cost.
For your beauty
and all the smiles that
so many people seem to miss.
The more I get to know you...
The more I want to know.
Everything you do and say
Interests me... Makes me think...
and keeps me wanting more.
Your future's so bright...

Thank you
Thomas Sturridge
For your incredibly sweet smile
(that you rarely use)
And those blue eyes...
For your quirky hats
And for all the energy you have on stage.
For the subtle ways you display emotion
and most definitely for your voice.
Your voice.
So proper
So rich
And so exquisitely British.
Thank you for always being
a shining star
in a fandom that sometimes
is so bleak and dark.

This post is brought to you by
Green Sheep.

Thank You.

Until next time

Bye for now.

Thank you Rob's true fans for not participating in anything regarding his ex for his true fans have no desire to do so. But Rose, I wish you would have mentioned the K fans who still comment ugly comments to Rob and Twigs continually. His true fans have no part of that but the Robsten fans will not let him go. Is there anyway you can address that in your new comments for maybe it will show the fans that are still doing this some shame on their part.

@Live guest - did you not read the bit that said:

Now we have the Bullshit Baby Brigade
screaming the same thing...

Rose covered off on the K fans comments on Twigs… This is the one place where you don't get biased views in this fandom.

I guess this blog has never been about reality, because if it was, you would know that people always talk about cheaters and that will never stop.

They're still talking about Jack Kennedy cheating on Jackie with Marilyn Monroe. That was over 50 years ago. They're talking about Arnold cheating on Maria with their housekeeper, and they're talking about his son Patrick cheating on Miley with some random girl in Mexico.

People will always talk about cheaters, especially if they are celebrity cheaters. Why you think anyone is or should try to erase July 2012 from happening is beyond me. People who ignore the past are doomed to repeat it. And people who try to pretend it didn't happen are just lying to themselves.

If Kristen hadn't cheated, she and Rob would probably still be together. Sticking your head in the sand isn't going to change the past or make it go away. In fact, not dealing with it just keeps it at the surface.

To be clear, you are just thinking back and saying what you are thankful for, right?

You are not in any way saying goodbye, right?

Happy St Patricks Day ROSE and ROSELAND

Since you brought up 2012 I will just say I've never thought of it as K was cheating ...more of she was set up...fell into a trap...a carefully planned one

Thank you for your post. It does remind me that even though we have our lives to live these young people have captured our hearts. That fondness is not attached to the personal details of their lives but we do care very much about them...are still rooting for them and wishing them every happiness and success

Sure appreciate that you started this blog, and that I landed here in 2010. It all has been just remarkable.

I echo your sentiments and raise my glass in happy celebration of our friendship, and to our shared fondness for Kristen & Robert, as always.

Missed a few days posting here, but see that all is well. I lurk as ever.

“Love all, trust a few,
Do wrong to none: be able for thine enemy
Rather in power than use; and keep thy friend
Under thy own life's key: be check'd for silence,
But never tax'd for speech.”

You're charming! No, not goodbye on my part nor thinking on Rose's either. More like "nice and easy does it every time."

Nice N' Easy

Listen here for Frank Sinatra:

Let's take it nice and easy
It's gonna be so easy
For us to fall in love

Hey baby whats your hurry
Relax and dont you worry
Were gonna fall in love

We're on the road to romance
That's safe to say
But let's make all the stops
Along the way

The problem now of course is
To simply hold your horses
To rush would be a crime
'Cause nice and easy does it
Every time

thanks, there was this implied finality to Rose's post and it bummed me out a little.

Not to take away from the other sites, but rational is not currently in favor and to disagree with the masses brings unwanted attention. I go to many places for many reasons but I like me some Rose.

Thanks for answering me and thanks for the Sinatra (loved his Ava broke my heart phase)

I remember seeing something on the net about Rob being cast as Edward but I saw this in March of 2008. I had no clue that Kristen had been cast as Bella. This prompted me to read all 3 books over Spring Break. At that time, I had no clue how they would change my life and follow me through some of the most trying times of my life.

I, like you Rose, have no regrets for falling in love with a book and movie series that won my heart and soul forever. I don't know if there will ever be anything like it in my lifetime again. Not only were we blessed with Bella and Edward's love but with Rob and Kristen's.

2012 creeps up on me every now and again. I'll be watching the Comic Con stuff from July of that year or the Teen Choice Awards and I get smacked in the face that this is the time that it happened. But for the most part, I don't live there at all. I live in a world where Kristen just won a Cesar Award and that she gets to work with Woody Allen. I enjoy Kristen for who she is warts and all. As for Rob, while I don't know if he is making the best choices in his personal life it is not for me to say and as for his career that too is up to him how he steers it.

Thank you Rose for you level headed blog and your steadfast appreciation of Rob and Kristen.

Wonderfullbliss....You said you read 3 book. I hope you read the 4th on Breaking Dawn. I would hate for you to miss the last one. I'm not worried about Rob at all. He is a grown man living his life the way he wants, choosing who he wants to live it with and what films he wants to make. Excited for him and the Brimstone movie with his old pals.

DreamerKind said...

So exciting to hear Rob film/role potential news! Those two actors are sure rad!

Anonymous said...

@live guest- At the time there were only 3 books out when I read them. I had the first one buried in my closet for about 6 months until I read, on the Internet, about Rob being cast as Edward and I was like I have that book in my closet. I then stayed up most of the night reading Twilight and couldn't wait for the bookstore to open so I could go get the other 2 books that were out at the time. Breaking Dawn wasn't out at that time. I have read all the books and am sorry to say that I buckled and read Breaking Dawn on the net when it was leaked but I bought the book anyway.

Inspiration-We are all he!

Man of La Mancha (I, Don Quixote)

Richard Kiley/Irving Jacobson

[Don Cervantes]
May I set the stage?
I shall impersonate a man
Come, enter into my imagination
And see him!

His name... Alonso Quijana... a country squire
No longer young... bony, hollow-faced... eyes
That burn with the fire of inner vision. Being
Retired, he has much time for books.

He studies
Them from morn to night and often through the
Night as well. And all he reads oppresses him...
Fills him with indignation at man's murderous
Ways toward man.

And he conceives the strangest
Project ever imagined... to become a knight-errant
And sally forth into the world to right all
Wrongs. No longer shall he be plain Alonso Quijana...
But a dauntless knight known as -
Don Quixote de La Mancha!

Hear me now
Oh thou bleak and unbearable world,
Thou art base and debauched as can be;
And a knight with his banners all bravely unfurled
Now hurls down his gauntlet to thee!

I am I, Don Quixote,
The Lord of La Mancha,
My destiny calls and I go,
And the wild winds of fortune
Will carry me onward,
Oh whithersoever they blow.
Whithersoever they blow,
Onward to glory I go!

Sancho Panza:

I'm Sancho! Yes, I'm Sancho!
I'll follow my master till the end.
I'll tell all the world proudly
I'm his squire! I'm his friend!

Don Quixote:

Hear me, heathens and wizards
And serpents of sin!
All your dastardly doings are past,
For a holy endeavor is now to begin
And virtue shall triumph at last!

Don Quixote and Sancho Panza:

I am I, Don Quixote, (I'm Sancho! Yes, I'm Sancho! )
The Lord of la Mancha,
My destiny calls and I go, (I'll follow my master till the end.)
And the wild winds of fortune (I'll tell all the world proudly)
Will carry me onward
Oh whithersoever they blow! (I'm his squire! I'm his friend! )

Whithersoever they blow,
Onward to glory I go!

Love inspires, despite mockers.

Richard Kiley:

I have dreamed thee too long,
Never seen thee or touched thee.
But known thee with all of my heart.

Half a prayer, half a song,
Thou hast always been with me,
Though we have been always apart.

Dulcinea... Dulcinea...
I see heaven
When I see thee, Dulcinea,

And thy name is like a prayer
An angel whispers... Dulcinea... Dulcinea!

If I reach out to thee,
Do not tremble and shrink
From the touch of my hand
On thy hair.

Let my fingers but see
Thou art warm and alive,
And no phantom
To fade in the air.

Dulcinea... Dulcinea...
I have sought thee, sung thee,
Dreamed thee, Dulcinea!

Now I've found thee,
And the world shall know thy glory,
Dulcinea... Dulcinea!

Impossible? Hopeless? No!

The Impossible Dream

Brian Stokes Mitchell:

To dream the impossible dream,
To fight the unbeatable foe,
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go;

To right the unrightable wrong.
To love, pure and chaste, from afar,
To try, when your arms are too weary,
To reach the unreachable star!

This is my Quest to follow that star,
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far,
To fight for the right
Without question or pause,

To be willing to march
Into hell
For a heavenly cause!

And I know, if I'll only be true
To this glorious Quest,
That my heart will lie
Peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest.

And the world will be better
For this,
That one man
Scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage,
To reach the unreachable stars!

This is my quest to follow that star,
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
To fight for the right
Without question or pause,

To be willing to march into hell
For a heavenly cause!
And I know, if I'll only be true
To this glorious Quest,

That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest.
And the world will be better for this,

That one man, scorned and covered with scars,
Still strove, with his last ounce of courage,
To reach the unreachable stars!
