DK..That sounds good..Nothing else exciting to report here...ho hum...b o r i n g....(yawn) I asked for red wine at the restaurant and they were out so I settled for white..thats ok BUT I had my mind set on their house red..then a lady HAD to put her hand IN one of the containers at the salad bar...needless to say, being the nurse germophobe that I am, I reported it to the manager and could not enjoy any aspect of the experience.
Have a Manhattan for me too, whats in it? I would like it, no doubt.

It's pretty strong, like a drink from the olden, golden days. I put in bourbon, dry vermouth, water and two lemon twists. Lots of ice, too. If you like dry & strong, it is divine IMO.
Salad bars? When dishing up food from them you must look the other way or it will make you squirm.
Blue Moon is a beer usually served with a fresh orange wedge and I am most fond of it, as you would think.

Yes, Super, it is a beer. It is a Belgian Style wheat ale with coriander and orange...it is yummy!
Manhattans are too strong for me. My gradmother used to drink them and she live to 93:)

I had an elderly patient one day that drank scotch every Saturday night and he was in his 90's and still sharp as a tack..I think the Key is tweeking your body with a "little" on a regular basis as opposed to "alot" which will kill you eventually or you will be so sick with cirrhosis of the liver you might wish to die...lol

Hello DK, IB, Super & anyone else that's here I may have missed! Hope u are all having a nice evening.
Jumping in, "Blue Moon" is a good beer, they also have some flavored beer depending on the season. In the fall they make "harvest moon" which has a dash of pumpkin taste to it, its really good!
There is also a beer called "Leinenkugel" and they have flavors as well, I have their "harvest wheat" right now and it has an orange/citrus flavor to it. Probably similar to sticking an orange slice in a bottle of Blue Moon.

I don't do the cherries anymore, too sweet for me! Mine is a dry Man as I call it, tee hee.
Don't usually have more than 2 Mans, if I want to walk and talk, but it is the kind of a drink that you nurse for about an hour or so, each. Pure pleasure in a glass.
Super~Blue Moons are very strong. Two of them an I am feeling very good! Anymore and I regret it in the AM.
A new drink some of my friends are drinking is like a creamsicle. It is whip cream flavored vodka and orange soda. Sounds weird but they say its great. I haven't tried one yet.

Stout is great. There's a brewery not too far from here and they have this sampler you can order. I don't like beer normally, but the stouts have a coffee flavor and are kind of creamy.

CAPTIVATING CHICKEN CASSEROLE
2 cups cooked chicken, cut up
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 cup chopped celery
1 tbsp chopped onion
1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1 cup cooked rice
1 tsp lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
TOPPING
1 cup bread crumbs or crushed cornflakes
1 stick butter
350/30 min
Years ago it would take quite a bit longer to prepare but now I buy a roasted chicken from the deli and I buy frozen rice that can be heated in the microwave if I dont happen to have any leftover rice in the fridge. Its crunchy and the lemon juice and the cornflake topping make this really exceptional
