Rob and Kristen- MTV Kiss Off?

Oh look!
Another DRAMA in the Rob/Kristen/Twilight Fandom!
How do I even describe this fanbase?
Because it's so fractured and divided.
Some hate Rob.
Some hate Kristen.
Some hate Twilight.
Yet... somehow...
They all congregate around the same campfire.
No wonder it's utter chaos so much of the time.

ANYWAY.

MTV MOVIE AWARDS
just recently announced their nominations.
And guess what?
Twilight/Rob/Kristen only got 2!
Can you believe that shit?

Best Kiss - Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart–
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1

Movie Of The Year- The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1

Well...
The fandom fucking blew up.
Or is it blew apart?
Or just plain fucking blows.
All of the above?
Now.
I was on Twitter when the nominations were released...
And can I be honest?
It didn't piss me off.
I mean...
Some people were losing their shit over this
Some were laughing.
Some were defending MTV
Some were attacking Josh Horowitz
(Really didn't understand that one)
Some were attacking The Hunger Games.
Because yeah...
They got the majority of noms.
Big surprise.

My thoughts?
Well.
I got some criticism... saying I didn't 'care'
or I wasn't a good fan.
Well.
Thing is...
I DO care.
I've always admitted that I do.
It's why I'm here.
Still.
After 3 1/2 years.
Just because I don't go fucking ballistic over it
doesn't mean I don't care...
It means that I don't find it worthy of such anger.
But that's me.
You can rant and rave and scream
and write MTV
and vote endlessly for Rob and Kristen
ALL you want!
That's you.
I don't have a problem with that.

And honestly...
The more I talked to people about it
The more I understood their anger...
(See... that's what normal people do when you
want to understand opposing points of view...
you discuss it rationally.)
I mean...
The MTVMA's were OWNED by Rob and Kristen.
They always won every award they were up for...
We got to see endless cute and adorable moments
that we don't get to see too often...
And let's face it...
Breaking Dawn 1
out of all the movies thus far...
Actually DESERVED these awards.
Rob and Kristen were really good in this one.
So why did MTV take away the public's choice?
Why did they take away fan's votes?
Well...
I'm guessing they want to back the new kid on the block.
The Hunger Games.
And they probably knew that with the rabid Twilight fanbase...
(and I gotta wonder how much of this anger has gotten back to them)
Hunger Games wouldn't stand a chance.
And I apologize if you are a fan of that movie...
I'm not cutting it down...
I actually liked the book and the movie
But again... I apologize...
It's not Twilight.
It's not even close.
Sure... it did better at the Box Office
blah blah blah
I don't care to have a lame competition
comparing the actors and the books...
Because there IS no comparison.
Its just MY opinion.
Twilight touched me in a way NO other book/movie series
ever has in my life.
I know. Right?
I mean...
I'm still fucking here.

And MTV might regret this decision
somewhere down the line...
I think people do underestimate
the power of this fandom.

And let's try to focus on the positive
They are still up for BEST KISS
and considering how pissed off everyone is...
I have no doubts they will win by a landslide
If MTV hasn't already fixed that part of the show too...
(Shame on you MTV for not having faith
that The Hunger Games could win without your help)

And yeah...
We still have
Best Kiss

I'll admit it.
If Rob and Kristen actually show up for this show...
I will probably watch it.
Watching them together is rather intoxicating...
isn't it?
The looks... the touches... the smiles.
Yeah.
I will still watch.

And now...
to interrupt our regular blogging
I now bring you something that I think
will make you feel better.
Well...
It made me feel better.

I don't know what to add to this.
MTV MOVIE AWARDS?
What movie awards??

And where would I be without adding this...

Or this...

Yeah.
I'm a sucker for "English" guys and cigarettes.
Go figure.

This post is brought to you by disappointment.

Yes.
I'm disappointed in MTV.
But from where I stand...
It is only MTV.
One silly award show.
Rob and Kristen have bigger and better things
on the horizon.
So I choose to focus on the stuff in the
not so distant future...

Because it's fucking bright.
You're going to need shades.

Until next time.

Bye for now

gotta tell you Rose i dont fully believe that MTV was trying to push THG , they actually wanted this fandom drama i do feel it was unfair that BD1 got just 2, 4 noms fine, specially in the new categories but i feel this is nothing to loose sleep over , Rob and Kristen have already 3 golden popcorns from these awards or more from all the major categories in these awards for them thats enough i mean i want them to be recognized for more than just Edward and Bella , Because they are MORE than Edward and Bella , im ready for Cannes, lets the THG kids be the MTV new force they are going to go through hell now from the attention that RKT are eager to pass down and be over with ,i just feel it isnt their fault and that the hate against THG cause of this isnt fair u will see that out of 8 they will probably win 3 RK will take best kiss and maybe this time surprise us by kissing? who knows only time will tell

A good post. I'd say we're about 80% in agreement. The thing is, I've never been a big awards show fan. Any awards show, anywhere. My sole reason for watching the MTVMAs, since joining the fandom, is to watch the kids and the Saga romp all over the competition. It made me proud. And to see them take one in the kidneys from blatant tampering and rule rigging on MTV's part ticked me off...monumentally. Anyway, anything worth seeing at the Awards will be on YouTube the following day. And there's always my DVR.

The Best Kiss nom is good, but I don't trust MTV. The fact that THG even made it into the Best Kiss category against the available competition says that there's some pretty impressive cooking of the books going on.

So, no, I won't watch it live for just five minutes of R&K. I will however watch recordings...because if they do win Best Kiss, I'll be waiting with a grin on my face to see how they handle NOT kissing this year. ;-)

Terrific late night surprise post from Rose!

ITA, we'll see who wins what, but as a, in any weather, Robert & Kristen fan, I'm always winning, cause they are winners, always.

(Check out the lovely songs I posted on the last post-winners all!)

I think there was anger with Joshua Horowitz because he tweeted he knew people were upset but there was something big planned and the show wouldn't disappoint.

The problem is he's said that about other shows in the past and it didn't pan out. He's also been promising pics of Kristen in SWATH for months. He said twice he'd post them within an hour and then came on to say sorry I can't do it now but soon. We're still waiting.

So I think people find it hard to believe anything he says now...it's not fun to be teased all the time.

There's never been a more loyal fan base and MTV just gave Twi fans the finger...I do think MTV will regret this later.

Quite frankly I've been staying away from twitter because the playground squabbling about something that is ultimately so trivial is tedious and the insults being levelled at MTV and Josh Horowitz (??!!) are embarrassing and juvenile. At the end of the day, it's about advertisers and ratings. MTV is a business like any other.

All the ranting about "fixes" amuses me when certain parts of this fandom spend days voting in every online poll there is and will happily vote against anything they perceive as a threat to their desired outcome. Quite a few are now threatening to vote against THG in "revenge" for MTV's perceived treachery.

You can't have it all ways. If you believe it's all fixed anyway, why waste your time? Otherwise you vote for whatever/whoever you believe deserves to win and trust that the result will be fair or you vote multiple times whilst accepting that all's fair in love and war and other fandoms are then free to do the same but you can't then complain when it all backfires on you.

Honestly, do people seriously not have anything more important to think about?

To be honest I would not watch the MTV awards were it not for Rob and Kristen, but I am probably not in their demographic. I do think they were the best in BD1 and again will not get credit for that because it is Twilight. People love to bash it regardless of how well it is done. THG is huge and I think they want to pull in those fans at the start. It does boil down to money and MTV is a business.
I am really far more thrilled that Rob and Kristen are going to Cannes. I would guess this excites them more, also. Moving on to bigger and better things. I think these movies will give them the recognition they deserve, in the grown-up world.
Have a wonderful day Rose, Smitty, Gruff, Syd and all you Roselanders!

Good morning, Angelica!
I totally agree.

Hey everyone!
MTV and its Twi support and exclusives have always gone hand in hand. Their very obvious & blatant "fix" so that BD and Rob & Kristen didn't get many nominations is kind of a slap in the face to the fans, and to the actors as well really.
I don't really care because I saw this coming when they announced the changes a couple weeks ago. I'm 99% positive Rob & Kristen probably don't give a flying fuck, that just means less spotlight on them!
But out of any of the Twi films that deserved noms it was BD and its kinda insulting that MTV is like "you're hot enough to get best kiss but we don't give a fuck about your acting" lol!

Oh well! I'll watch regardless and I think MTV knows that too.
BD for best Film & Rob/Kristen for best kiss...add in that the BD2 trailer will probably be shown...they won't lose viewership.
I will laugh if THG doesn't win much though, especially since its being pushed so much!

Hi to all the regs & I hope everyone has a Happy Tuesday! :)

What a nice surprise to wake up to a new Rose post!

I agree that both Rob and Kristen deserved to be nominated for their acting in BD, but their futures are so much bigger and brighter than MTV or Twilight. It's hard for me to get worked up about a silly award show with all the great things that are happening for them right now. Like DK said, Rob and Kristen are winners no matter what. :)

Great posts Angelica and Birdie.

Happy Tuesday to all!

I am pissed at MMAS but mostly for the hypocrisy. I can understand they don't want another year of the Twilight show. but on the other hand, the Twifanbase seems to form the bigger part fo their audience

what made me laugh though was their attempt to make the show more classy. I mean, come on, the show is a joke. it was always a joke. and it is OK because, just like PCAs or KCAs, it gave voice to the fans. trying to pretend otherwise is just making MTV look foolish

what made me mad were the 7 nominations for THG. I would really laugh my ass of if they only get like one popcorn. because the 2 noms for BD versus the 7 noms for THG just makes MMAs fol look like filthy hypoctrites

but whatever. I will vote for best kiss because that is the only cathegory I was ever interested in and I won't watch the sho because I have no means to and just watch the vids IF RK attend

MMAS always gave us incredible cuteness I dindt need to ahve mixed feelings about but I will survive without it

Very well said, Rose!

First of all, I don't understand the hate that Josh Horowitz gets. It's not like he made the decision to change the show this year. He is just a (really good) interviewer and has given the fandom the best interviews when it comes to R/K.

MTV's agenda seems blatantly obvious, especially because THG should have been nominated next year and not this one.
That being said, I'm sure Rob and Kristen will be enjoying this year's show more than ever and *I* am looking forward to Cannes :)

But I DO understand why people are not happy with MTV at the moment. The Twi Fans supported this show immensely for the last 4 years, so I can understand why it would feel like a slap in the face.
Rose, I think you are right that MTV might regret this decision somewhere in the future.. don't bite the hand that feeds you and all that..

Thanks for the pictures of Rob, Kristen and Tom!

Have a great day everybody :)

Everyone is on fine form this morning :)

Where I fall on this is that anything that seems to be a slight
to Rob and Kristen and Twilight in
general pisses me off a bit!

Yes Rob and Kristen are moving on
to different kinds of projects, but a lot of us are here because we fell in love with them through Twilight in the first place and it is a shame they won't be recognised for their acting in the last one of the saga.

But at the same time I have more important things to do than get all worked up about it.

Have a great day everyone

Kay said...

Good morning, Roseland!

This honestly didn't surprise me. After MTV put it out there that they were revamping the voting process and their academy was going to pick the nominees for viewers to choose from, it was pretty clear they were forcibly taking back their show. Fine, I understand that it was a business decision for them...their demographic for the show has been skewed and they needed to change something. Not including Rob and Kristen in categories in which their performances deserved to fairly compete against MTVs new darling is really disappointing. I think fans are also angry and hurt because it feels a lot like pandering when they give the "crazy" Twi fans two categories so they will still watch, and change the rules to be able to include THGs "passionate" fans. Time will tell if the changes have the effect MTV was going for.

Kristen, Rob and Tom have so many exciting things coming up with Cannes, their new movies coming out and new projects coming up....such bright futures and a lot of great things to focus on besides the MTV MAs.

Take care and have a happy May Day, everyone!! :D

Hi Everyone

Great post, Rose!

Looking at the big picture, Rob and Kristen have more important things on the horizon like Cannes!

However, I must admit I've enjoyed seeing them at the MTV Awards, and they are the ONLY reason I tune in. I hope they still win for Best Kiss...HG kiss is a JOKE! LOL

I think Rob & Kristen are probably the most relieved about not getting so many nominations this year. I mean, this is just a fun award.

I do agree that out of all the Twi movies, they should've been recognized for this one but they're growing up now & moving on to much better things than the silly MTV awards.

I only wonder though ... what will MTV do for MMA 2013? Since THG2 - Catching Fire - doesn't come out till Nov 2013, MTV can't possibly include that film in June 2013 (unless they rig the rules again or move the MMA to Dec 2013). They'd have to wait until June 2014. Since the HP franchise will no longer be around for MMA 2013, will MTV come crawling back & nominate BD2 for a gazillion categories to woo the Twifans - who give them all the ratings. That'll be interesting.

Litmom said...

Good one, Rose - I had a feeling you would post after the reactions from the masses.

Yeah - I would NEVER have watched the MTV awards if Rob & Kris weren't on it. If they go to this one, I'll watch just to see their adorkable selves evade the issue again!

I think those 2 are moving on to bigger and better things...plus, I have an idea they could care less about that box of popcorn.

DK - you were on fire with your music on the last post... Thanks, dear.

Hi Rose and Roseland,

Great post!!!

I'm SO pissed and disappointed at MTV...but you are rigth Rose, Rob and Kristen have bigger and better things in the horizant, they both have movies going to Cannes wich is something much more prestigious and honorable to be at, than the MTV that's for sure. And Cosmopolis and OTR have a VERY good possibility of wining the Palm D'or, and that's an award that is an honor to win.

I'm still going to see the MTV movie award IF Rob and Kristen go, like I always do every year. And OF COURSE will support as always Rob, Kristen and Twillight saga - Breaking Dawn in the cathegories that are nominated.

And those pics of Rob really helped...the 'Deliciously Handsome' ALWAYS makes things better.

Take care everyone.

Bluebee said...

I'm actually really happy with this. Twilight really isn't all that good anyway. I like Kristen and Rob; they have talent. But Twilight doesn't necessarily showcase that. It shouldn't win almost everything. The people who were nominated gave really good performances, now people just vote for the favorite one in that category. Hopefully, this year the show would be better. I hope Rooney Mara wins for best female performance and Joseph Gordon Levitt for best Male performance. My faves.

Anonymous said...

Ah Rose, thanks for your post.

I'm angry and upset and deeply disappointed and hurt that MTV cut Twilight like that. My favorite part of your post? The part where you said "(Shame on you MTV for not having faith
that The Hunger Games could win without your help)" Halleluiah!

Twilight and Rob and Kristen consistently beat Harry Potter in most categories and that's due to the fans. Now, it can go back and forth about which is better (and I actually like them both) but the fans VOTED. I voted. So now, they "fix" things in THG favour? Not cool. I can't even vote now (I live in Canada). SO much is wrong about this decision.

I would have liked to have seen Twilight dominate till the end of Breaking Dawn (and yeah, this was their strongest movie yet). But thanks to MTV that's not to be. I'm not even going to watch (or if Rob and Kristen win, I'll watch the YouTube before it's taken down) I can't even vote anymore. Right now, I'm sending a big FU to MTV.

Anonymous said...

"I think there was anger with Joshua Horowitz because he tweeted he knew people were upset but there was something big planned and the show wouldn't disappoint. "

I don't agree with anger towards Josh but promising something big is just a ploy to get Twilight fans to tune in. I hope MTV doesn't get a new BD trailer. But what are the odds, now that Lionsgate owns Summit?

parker said...

I don't usually vote on these polls but I actually checked it out today. I think it's rotten that MTV is not rejecting international votes but will likely disqualify those votes because the voting rules clearly state that voters must be US residents & their system will know to filter based on the IP addresses even if the voter tries to trick the MTV site by putting USA as country. If MTV is serious about not allowing international voters, their system should reject outright any non-US IP address. But they're being sneaky because they don't want international votes but want the web hits.

Leaving the international fans out of the voting is really low. Just because THG didn't do so well internationally (I know in Asian markets, it only lasted 2 weeks & currently have not even reached $200M sale outside the US) ... isn't fair to all the international fans.

I really think next year MTV will come groveling back & nominate BD2 for a lot of categories because they need the hits & ratings. And hoepfully fans won't bother anymore or the cast of BD2 don't show up & Lionsgate can't force them to go because contract is over.

Maybe, the one good thing that might happen is if Rob & Kristen win best kiss again, knowing that it's prolly the last time they'll be up there, they will finally give the fans what they've been wishing for - a real kiss on stage :)

Rose, great post, as usual. I was shocked when I heard the nominees for the MTV awards. I don't understand including Hunger Games, since it just came out. I haven't seen Hunger Games, but I did read the book, so don't know whether the movie is good or not. I know that people are angry about the nominees, really angry. Whether or not they should be, I don't know. I do know I dislike award shows, and would only watch it if Rob and Kristen are there.

Take care Roselanders. I agree with Rose, something is coming and it will be wonderful.

It was MTV who chose to have the MTVMA's as fan nominated and the winners fan chosen. Just because they don't like the results from the past three years or felt it was Twilight heavy, no matter it was done by a system they put in place.

MTV has every right to make changes to the show's format but at least be upfront and honest about it.

MTV could easily have chosen to go the way of the BAFTA's and have categories selected for fan consideration and the awards for Best Actress/Actor etc left in the hands of their "Academy".

I can understand the fans anger in feeling blindsided .......MTV refused to inform, until the very last moment about the changes to the show.
Their "Academy" now has the right to choose the eventual winners even with the fan votes.
Really, MTV? Are you still wondering why the public is questioning your credibility with these changes.
----------------------------
I think the lashing out against Josh Horowitz is reprehensible.

Anonymous said...

MTV changes everything to "add some credibility to the show and allow for a broader array of nominees that don’t necessarily represent the biggest summer blockbusters". So that means that small movies will get a chance to win, right? I guess not because The Hunger Games got 8 nominations. I love THG but this is bullshit.
Anyway, IMO Cannes > MTVMA.

Hi Rose and regs,

I have sat back and watched twitter go nuts yesterday and today. It's been interesting (and mildly entertaining) to say the least.

I think what MTV has done is utter BS. Plain and simple. However I personally am not wasting time and breath fussing about it. I'll watch it if Rob and Kristen will be attending. If not I'll pass.

If they win best kiss, I'll be watching to see what they do for their non kiss. It's always fun to see what they come up with!

As some have said before, there are so many great things on the horizon that this little ripple isn't worth making waves.

what MTV did is pure and utter bulshit. They're not fooling anybody.

I have watched the MTV awards since the very first one, love it! It's not serious and I liked that the fans were involved in the whole process. I'm disappointed they took away part of the fun. I don't get the need to push THG, like a few people have said it just came out so why is it even there. And the kiss in it wasn't really a kiss that was epic or anything lol. I haven't read the book but saw the movie, it was ok. I agree with Rose, there's just something about Twilight. I have enjoyed watching the last few years with all the Twilight craziness. The cast all seems to have fun, I'm sure it's a little old at this point, but it's fun to watch. I gotta say I'm disappointed that MTV chose to take this path....but I'll still watch it lol. Thanks Rose.

Hooting & Howling

Wild Beasts:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwHoh2vNdiA

Carry me hooting and howling
To the river to wash off my hands
Of the hot blood
The sweat and the sand

Any rival who goes for our girls
Will be left thumb sucking in terror
And bereft of all coffin bearers

A crude art
A bovver boot ballet
Equally elegant and ugly

I was as thrilled
As I was appalled
Courting him in fisticuffing waltz

Now I’m not saying the lads
Always deserve a brayin
And I’m not saying the girls
Are worth the fines I’m payin

We’re just brutes
Bored in our bovver boots
We’re just brutes
Clowning ‘round in cahoots

We’re just brutes
Looking for shops to loot
We’re just brutes
Hoping to have a hoot

Hooting

I am appalled that Breaking Dawn got two nominations...the music was great, the kiss the best...Kristen in the birth scene and dying outstanding...Edward begging Bella not to leave him was outstanding and heart wrenching. The fight scene incredible...The cast was fantastic...So many things that brought Breaking Dawn Part 1 together should of been good enough for MTV to of added them to more nominations... I am sure that Rob and Kristen could give a fig about this but Gee! The fans that have dominated the MTV Awards during the Twilight Stories are going to be pretty bitter because MTV has placed the Twilight Saga in the back of the closet and without it they wouldn't of had the fans they did. Hmm

Dani said...

MTVMA is a silly award show and I imagine that Rob and Kristen don't give a fuck if they're nominated or not. This is not the end of the world. That being said, this totally sucks. It's the "fix" that's pissing people off.

Changing the rules to ensure that Twilight is out of the competition? Come on, this is so lame. Isn't this supposed to be an award show voted by fans? Be fair and let them decide then. This “academy” crap is a joke(where are the movies that were nominated for the big awards…?).

Isn't it interesting that MTV is trying to picture THG as the new big phenomenon, but apparently can't trust its capacity to win their silly awards?
Twilight is a phenomenon because of the overwhelming devotion of the fans. It’s not just about the story, the books and the movies anymore, it’s about Rob and Kristen too. They’re charismatic, authentic, relatable, they’re DIFFERENT… and they’re in love with each other. The interest in THEM is insane.
The commercial success of THG was expected since the beginning (I’ve never seen a movie being so hyped by the media before) but I don’t see THG actors inspiring the same passionate devotion. MTV knows that Rob and Kristen would win (again) if they were nominated for best actors. And so what? They win because more people (or more passionate people) want them to win. They win because they're more popular. Isn’t this the essence of this award show?
Their acting in the Twilight movies is not good enough? What makes a good performance? What makes a good movie? I’ve seen lots of great critically acclaimed movies that I enjoyed and… forgot as soon as I left the theater. Twilight may be a lot of things but it’s not forgettable, for a huge amount of people. I would say that for me, a movie hits its mark if provokes a strong emotional response in me and makes me want to see it again (and again, and again). Twilight did it for me and Rob and Kristen's performances have a lot to do with it.

Honestly, as much as I love to see Rob and Kristen together, I would love if they didn’t show up this time (I guess they’re contractually obligated to go). I imagine that MTV would lose “some” of their audience and after all this crap it would be very well deserved.

Strange
I've seen that face before,
Seen him hanging 'round my door,
Like a hawk stealing for the prey,
Like the night waiting for the day,

Strange, he shadows me back home,
Footsteps echo on the stones,
Rainy nights on Hausmann Boulevard,
Parisian music
Drifting from the bars

Tu cherches quoi
Rencontrer la mort,
Tu te prends pour qui
Toi aussi tu detestes la vie

Dance in bars and restaurants,
Home with anyone who wants,
Strange he's standing there alone,
Staring eyes chill me to the bone.

Dans sa chambre

Un regard sur ses fringues,
Sur les murs, des photos,
Sans regret, sans mélo,

I have to believe R&K are probably relieved they're not up for 80% of the awards in one way, shape or form. But trading one for the other, HG for Twilight, ugh. I love love love Twilight Saga movies, but didn't think they needed to be nominated in about every category, nor do I think HG should.

The buzz doesn't surprise me, I'll watch to see R&K, and hopefully finally get some lip action on the show! :)

Dear Rose,
So with you on the MTV debacle and debauchery! One can clearly see the agenda, ulterior motive, and self serving scheme.
Nice job MTV - You have slapped and insulted a monumental fandom - thus receiving a big fail for this faux pas. Will there be an attempt at a save and recovery?

As so many of you said, BDI was exceptional and was lovingly created in so many ways. Just shaking my head at MTV. Again, they really failed.

Despite the tiny MTV bump in the road, as Rose has said, the best is yet to come. And one must really be honest........moving forward, onto great, exciting, new adventures.....that is all good!

Take care dear Roseland.
This last month of school is a whirlwind of activity.
Hugs for y'all.
Big hugs for Smitty, Gruff and Syd.
Life is good and so very busy.

Wishin' & Hopin'

Turn-Down Day

The Cyrkle:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nmNKCaOeZk

It's much too groovy a summer's day
To waste runnin' round in the city
But here on the sand
I can dream away
Or look at the girls
If they're pretty

It's a turn-down day
Nothin' on my mind
It's a turn-down day
And I dig it

There's nothing easier I can do
Than lyin' around doing nothing
Soft summer breeze
And the surf rolls in
To laughter of small children
Playin'

Someone's radio
Has the news tuned in
But nobody cares what he's sayin'
Things that are waiting
To mess my mind
Will just have
To wait 'til tomorrow

Thank you/meltedmidnight

Ode To Rose & Roseland

Love Is All Around

The Troggs (1967):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ut5uC91FcbI

I feel it in my fingers
I feel it in my toes
Love is all around me
And so the feeling grows

It is written on the wind
Thats everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show

You know I love you
I always will
My mind's made up
By the way that I feel

There's no beginning
There be no end
Cause on my love
You can depend

I see your face before me
As I lay on my bed
I kind a get to thinking
Of all the things we said

You gave your promise to me
And I gave mine to you
I need someone beside me
In everything I do

It is written on the wind
Thats everywhere I go
So if you really love me
Come on and let it show

Thank you/WizardODoom

Pushin' Too Hard

The Seeds (1968):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qk05C1-eZYk

You're pushin' too hard
Uh-pushin' on me
You're pushin' too hard
What you want me to be

You're pushin' too hard
About the things you say
You're pushin' too hard
Every night and day
You're pushin' too hard
Pushin' too hard on me

Well all I want is to just be free
Live my life the way I wanna be
All I want is to just have fun
Live my life like it's just begun
But you're pushin' too hard
Pushin' too hard on me

Well, better listen girl
To what I'm tellin' you
You better listen girl
Or we are through
You better stop
All your foolin' around
Stop your runnin' all over town
'Cause you're pushin' too hard
Pushin' too hard on me

Well I know
There's a lotta fish in the sea
I know some would-uh stay by me
So if you don't think I'm gonna try
You better ask yourself
The reason why
'Cause you're pushin' too hard
Pushin' too hard on me

Thank you/Tyro100

I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night)

Electric Prunes:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQpw3FwYATw

Last night your shadow
Fell upon my lonely room
I touched your golden hair
And tasted your perfume

Your eyes were filled with love
The way they used to be
Your gentle hand reached out
To comfort me

Then came the dawn
And you were gone
You were gone, gone, gone

I had too much to dream last night
Too much to dream
I'm not ready to face the light
I had too much to dream
Last night

The room was empty
As I staggered from my bed
I could not bear the image racing
Through my head

ou were so real
That I could feel your eagerness
And when you raised your lips
For me to kiss
Came the dawn
And you were gone
You were gone, gone, gone

Oh, too much to dream
Oh, too much to dream
Too much to dream last night
Oh, too much to dream

Thank you/PsychedelicChannel1

Morning!
Melinda: I saw your earlier comment about EP. There are /were some really great writers of Twilight fanfiction.
--------
Just to add one more thing about the MTVMtA's.........
What's done is done but the glaringly unfair omissions can't go unnoticed and rightfully haven't.

Have a great day everybody.

People has been calling MTV awards the twilight awards because they dominate every *beep* year. that must be upsetting to other fans or just people who watches the show for fun. there is no surprise element, it's always twilight and it was becoming joke, MTV must of gotten a lot of flak for it. Sometimes I wonder if twilight fans are to blame because they Vote and vote and vote and vote until their fingers fall off. they have lot's time on their hands and vote like a bunch of paranoid maniacs. other fandoms don't do that, maybe they realize that these awards mean nothing to their favourites or maybe they have a life. No other fandoms does this so that is why up until now, the fan voting system worked. As a fan of twilight i will say in moments like this, the fandom is pretty pathetic. go ahead and vote but don't spend your entire day voting! that is not how it's supposed work. IMO, I think MTV knew they will piss off a lot of people, they knew that this decision may jeopardize the Ratings but for once they need to please the other audiences. I highly doubt such a big decision was made to favour THG, twilight just wins everywhere and because of the maniac fans, they had to opt for this. MTV could of nominated them for best actor and actresss beacause I think they deserved it more than ever but maybe MTV thought that wouldn't drag in the fanbase so it is like a consolation prize. As for rob and kristen, I think they are relieved that they don't have to get up and make those awkward acceptance speeches. Both always looked emberassed to accept every award. sometimes

ZARA You are entitled to your opinion and I'm sure there are fans that sit and vote all day, but I think you'll find the majority of people that comment here have very full and busy lives and don't fall into that category. I have yet to come across a "maniac" here!!

Dear Rose,
What a lovely new banner!
Two for the price of one!
What terrific memories those two will have of their youthful adventures with their Brit friends before all the craziness set in.

DK,
Love those 60's songs!
You picked some really fun ones I haven't heard in a long time. Will play some of them again.
Thanks.

@ali mac. no everyone here is amazing but I'm on tumblr and twitter and I saw the hysteria surrounding the voting is crazy every year. and I'm like, give it a rest.

I've been wondering if MTV will let twilight win in the two catagories they were nominated

More exciting news! Congrats to Rob on landing this really cool role!!

With Kristen adding producer to her ever expanding resume the choices they are making as individuals is fantastic.

I love that they both had new projects announced in the same week too. I would love to see in the future them working as a team with Kristen directing and Rob producing the films. They would be dynamite. A girl can dream, right?

Love the new banner! Loyal and fierce friends.

Hope the week is going well for all. Happy Thursday!!

Love the new banner, Rose!

I am so excited about both Rob and Kristen's new projects! I think it's great that they always try to make different types of movies and I'm so happy that Kristen will also produce her new film :)

Melinda - I LOVE your idea about Kristen directing and Rob producing! Can you imagine the movie those two would be able to make?!

Ok, I'm now going to see Bel Ami, since it's finally out here!

Have a great day everyone :)

OMG I am so excited here!

Blacklist, which is an adaptation of the 2008 non-fiction book Mission: Black List #1: The Inside Story of the Search for Saddam Hussein - As Told by the Soldier Who Masterminded His Capture.

In the film, Pattinson will portray Sergeant Eric Maddox, the book's author who served as an Army interrogator and ultimately gathered intelligence on Saddam Hussein's whereabouts for his eventual capture.

My fiance a Sergeant himself WILL be going with me too this one. Well I dragged him too BD and he liked it. lol He likes Rob as a actor. Hopefully he can get more male support after this film. I know a lot of militarily men and their wives will be going. :)

Tunes tonight, DK? I'm flying solo this evening - Sox is out of town on biz. I'd stay up and play, but gotta go to work manana, and I don't do well without my 7 hours. 2 more weeks, though - and my summer arrives!

Have a wonderful evening, Roseland residents!
