People started calling her Red Riding Hood.

Red knew that the woods could be a scary place... full of dangerous creatures, but she loved her grandmother and really wanted to see her. Prince Robert wasn't happy to let Red go off alone into the forest, but Red was a stubborn girl who didn't like to be coddled and Robert could only warn her to be careful and 'don't talk to strangers!'.
"Don't worry, Robert. I will be careful. I promise. I will go straight to Grandmother's house."
But as often happens when someone goes for a walk in the forest, things distract you.
Red saw some lovely flowers and began to pick some. Red was enjoying the summer day so much, that she didn't notice the shadows approaching towards her.
When Red turned around... a pack of rabid hyenas started chasing her!
The hyenas had this insane devotion to Prince Robert and thought that Red was not good enough for him. He belonged to them! So they were snarling and foaming as they went after her... snapping and biting at her.
Just as the hyenas almost got a hold of Red... The Wolf suddenly appeared! He winked knowingly at the Hyenas before making a show of chasing them away. Red was so relieved and happy to see the Wolf! She had no idea that he told the hyenas where to find her, so that he could be seen as her hero.

So until you get to Grandma's place

"Red! I'm so glad I found you! I hope you are OK?" The Wolf lied. "Maybe I should walk with you to your grandmothers house." He put his paws protectively around her...
"Oh Thank you Rup Wolf, but I'm almost there. I do appreciate that you helped me with the Hyenas... You're a good friend."
Wolf became angry. He didn't want to be just Red's friend! He wanted her to love him as much as he loved her! He had already made sure Prince Robert was somewhere else so that he could make his move...
"OK, Red. I'm glad you are OK. Please be careful the rest of the way."
Red smiled and went along on the path to her grandmothers house...
Not knowing that the Wolf was taking a shortcut to get there before her.
The Wolf ran all the way to her grandmothers house... knocking on the door.
"Oh come in, Red!" Grandma called out. "I'm so glad you are safe! I was worried about the rabid hyenas out there that are full blown crazy about your boyfriend."
Wolf let himself in and before she knew it, Grandma was locked away in a closet.
The Wolf let out a satisfied howl... and picked out a nice nightgown and cap to fool Red.
Gonna keep my sheep suit on
'Til I'm sure that you've been shown
That I can be trusted walking with you alone

I'd like to hold you if I could
But you might think I'm a big bad wolf so I won't
A few minutes later, Red knocked on the door.
The Wolf jumped into bed and covered most of his face with the covers.
"Who is it?" he said in a growling voice.
"It's Kristen, Grandma" Red replied.
"Oh do come in my dear" Ruperv Wolf replied.
When Red came into her room, she scarcely recognized her grandmother.
"Grandmother, your voice is so hoarse, aren't you feeling any better?"
"Oh it's just a lingering cough" replied the Wolf "cough cough"
"But Grandma... what big ears you have!" Red said as she came a bit closer to the bed.
"The better to hear you with!" Wolf answered.
"And what big eyes you have!" Red said amazed at how different Grandma looked.
"The better to see you with, my dear" Rupig Wolf replied.
"Oh and Grandma... what big teeth you have!" Red exclaimed as she got closer...
"The better to EAT you with my dear!" The Wolf roared as he jumped out of bed
and began to chase Red around the room.

Almost too late, Red realized that it wasn't her grandmother but Wolf! She thought he was her friend! She had trusted Wolf! She couldn't believe that she could make such a mistake!
"HELP!!! HELP!!" Red screamed as she tried to get away.
Luckily for Red...
Her handsome English boyfriend figured out what Wolf was up to and came to save her.
He came into the room and punch the Pig Wolf in his smarmy face, and knocked him out.
They found grandma locked up in the closet and untied her.
"Oh Robert! I was so scared! Next time I will listen to you and not go into the forest alone!
I promise that I won't be so stubborn next time! " Red said through tears as she hugged Robert.
"It's OK, Kristen..." Robert said soothingly "I think we both learned an important lesson today. You can't be so trusting with people."
"I know, Robert. I did learn that lesson. The hard way." Red replied "But what lesson did you learn, Robert?"
Robert grabbed Grandma's guitar (that just happened to be in the closet with her)
and began singing...

"Oh Robert!" Kristen cried... "I'm in love with you forever and ever, too!"
"I know." He said as he hugged her so tight... like he would never let her go.
And he never did.

Random question have any of our Canadian roselanders visited prince Edward island? I was a big Anne of green gables fan as a young teenager and it's on my list of places to see.

I’ve been to Prince Edward Island and have visited Green Gables. It was forever ago, so truthfully I don’t remember a whole lot about it. I do remember walking through the house and thinking it was fun given the whole story. PEI is also a nice place to go for the beaches and great seafood. I love to walk on beaches so it was a beautiful, restful place for that. If you’re looking for lots of activities, I’m not sure it’s the best place for that, but if you want a nice relaxing vacation, it’s a great destination.
I found the following information on line – I hope it is of some use.
“Green Gables, located in Cavendish in the Prince Edward Island National Park, is a popular tourist destination. Each year hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world visit the site which inspired the setting for L.M. Montgomery to create her beloved tale of a red-haired orphan, Anne of Green Gables. In addition to the Green Gables House, several museums and sites invite visitors to learn more about Anne and Montgomery and a popular musical version of the story runs every summer at the Charlottetown Festival.
Interpretation programs and new personalized tours of the site are offered to visitors during the month of May to October. It mentions an Anne of Green Gables Musical in Charlottetown and I think I remember going to that and enjoying it.

I actually wrote you a page and a half so far (heehee), but I am stopping now because not only am I actually tired of typing, but I am tired of speculating because no matter what my theory is, I still don't know anything :) I don't want to sound like a fool when I don't know anything, and the more I write, the more embarrassed I feel. But my opinion is they are together and were never apart. And it may sound silly, but I believe that Ethiopian girl 100% and she gives me even more hope for them :) It will be interesting to see how they both handle themselves for the remainder of the year and even next year. Of course, I'm hoping for great things to happen and for them to come out as a winning couple, stronger and wiser than ever.

Man, when it happened, I did something stupid and rash. I deleted all my saved photos and info of anything Twilight related. I couldn't deal. It took a while for my computer to delete all that stuff, LOL. BUT I'M SLOWLY CREEPING BACK ON THAT STUFF!

I thought SWATH was good, but not great. That movie deserved another hour of battle scenes, more snow white encountering difficult situations, and a longer fight scene between Ravenna and Snow. I came out of the movie theater feeling like I wanted more. I was really disappointed with the ending. However, I don't know how else they can continue with the story. I feel like it's done. She became queen. Ravenna is dead. I doubt the writers can write a better story than the first.

We have a nurse whose last day is today. She is moving. So everybody brought in food. OMG. All kinds of Chilis in crock pots, corn bread, the best BBQ pork I've ever tasted. I will get the recipe.., and a dessert table to die for. I had a lemon cookie. A pumpkin cheese square and some cherry crunch with a cup of black coffee. Now I just need to take a cat nap on my sofa when I get home:)

@Ali - it helps that I am an avid reader so they will do it with me - the 9 yr old is in gifted classes so they have her working and reading at a 7th grade level right now so we can read so many different stories together.
@Patty - I did 3 in 3 years too - they are 9,8, and the youngest will be 7 in December. the team work they do to get what they want is what does me in LOL then I have the older ones that are 19 and 17 that work as a team too.

Ladies don't even get me started on books and reading. My favorite part of my Lib. Asst. job was story time for our classrooms from K - 5 , I miss it sometimes. My next favorite was searching the book catalogs and ordering our new books at the beginning of each year, after getting them and displaying them to see how excited the kids get its great. Which is how I first found Twilight.
I loved reading with my son and taking turns when he learned to read but.....like most boys as he got older and discovered video games and the computer reading wasn't high on the list of his things to do. Now at 17 if it isn't mandatory reading or a magazine he never reads unless it song lyrics of course.
My son is a big Roald Dahl fan and also a fan of reading with a torch when he is meant to be sleeping!!

To have my life this scrutinized for this long, i would not be able to handle it, esp. now. Would it be an easy path for me to take a leave of absence from my country of birth to a far and away secluded place for a couple years, let go of the one I love and let him move on with his life, just so that I don't go insane from the continuous and painful scrutiny from everyone, so that my name isn't being dragged through the mud over and over again? I’ve been pondering something ever since tufenuf55 said she is ready to get on with her life and get off of this roller coaster. Most of us here are fans of both Rob and Kristen but if we’re honest I think some lean more towards one or the other, or at least started out that way. Many here are assuming that Rob and Kristen have patched things up and are together. Since that thought is all based on opinion and not fact, because the only thing we know for sure is that there was an “incident” that was admitted to and apologized for, I’m wondering how everyone will react if there is proof that Rob or Kristen have moved on and there is no more relationship.
There was wailing and gnashing of teeth, and people getting ill and losing sleep over the indiscretion, so how will people cope if a breakup is a reality? For me, I tend to think in terms of worse-case scenario in most situations and then I’m pleasantly surprised if things work out the way I want. For instance, I'm going on vacation next week and I'm expecting and planning for it to rain at least half of the time, so if it doesn't I'll be thrilled.
None of us really know anything about their relationship, and that is as it should be. There is no absolute proof either way and before anyone says differently, wearing tokens is not concrete proof. So is it possible that voicing with certainty that they are together will do more damage in this climate of a voracious media and very vocal fans, than just waiting to see what they want to show us?

what's worse? I think she knew the people that set it up to have her husband killed. I also think she told her son everything, because if i were her son, you better believe i would want to know. To me, it's not a coincidence that when he was going to run for President, shortly afterwards, his plane crashed along with his rumored to be pregnant offspring. I think they had him and his descendants wiped out. I think Ms. Onasis lived with this fear. What a tragedy.

I think the problem is the media will never stop because she has a bunch of haters. It makes me wonder if he found another girl, if the media would finally leave her alone. Hater will still despise her, but maybe the media will stop dragging her name through the mud.
no one wants to be talked about in public and carefully watched 24/7 if you don't want the attention. What kind of life is that? No life at all. It's really disgusting and even scary. I would leave the country and make people forget about me.
