Back in Oct - Nov I had jury duty and got picked for a murder trial that took place in my home town, at first I was dreading it but towards the end it was very rewarding to know we put a man that deserved to go to prison away for killing his wife. And it is definitely a good idea to take some form of entertainment with you, I carried my iPad everyday and read during recesses or lawyers arguing.
No news from our couple in a day or two they must be sharing some more family time together or ninja'd somewhere...glad they're having fun together wherever they are : )

I saw THE HOST last night. I enjoyed it because I have read the book many, many times. Of course, there were many parts that were cut as it was a long book. I would see it again and I am hoping that a lot of people will want to read the book after seeing the movie. I think that if I had not read the book that I would have some questions. Will be interested to see what kind of reviews it gets.
I'll be lurking for a little while but have editing to do and also have to be back at work tomorrow so will have an early night.

It's terrible how real life
interferes with my R&K time.
I did see OTR last night. Wow, Kristen was wonderful in the movie. Her character is very charismatic and has a presence that makes you want to see more of her. I agree with everyone that it is worth seeing. Loved it, and I'm still thinking about it today. Tom was great. My first time seeing him in a film, and I enjoyed it tremendously.
The funny thing that happened was that the audience was so quiet in the theatre. The film is a crazy boisterous ride, and has some very funny moments, as well as a lot of dramatic poignant moments too. But it was weird, I was laughing at the comic bits, and at first the rest of the audience was silent. I don't know maybe they were shocked or just too intellectual to laugh out loud.
Has this happen to all of you? Having a cold before easter? Mother nature is kicking my butt. Its just started. Sweaty, chills, scratchy throat, tired, and sinus. Why do mother nature is making me miserable?

@Arte, thanks for the OTR review. I think you may be right about the crowd being too intellectual at that classy Portland theatre. We used to go to a downtown theatre to see art films and old classic revivals and it was considered bad form to make ANY noise, even laugh or react in any way. I got shushed for exclaiming during an Alfred Hitchcock film's shocking moment. YIKES!
I found out a tiny theatre in my own tiny downtown is showing OTR starting next Friday, so my husband and I are going to see it sometime that weekend. Can't wait!

MARI -- Welcome. I agree with almost everything you had to say. I don't like anyone who puts Kristen or Rob down. But I try not to "hate" ... Anyway, here's my theory as to why PH and some of the others feel so "threatened" by Kristen ... they don't know how to act about an actress who doesn't care about the Hollywood glam. She always says she's just trying to be herself ... not fake in any way and I think they don't understand. She's a Hollywood contradiction!!! That's one of the reasons why we love her so much.
ARTE -- I'm SO GLAD you enjoyed The Host. After I hyped it so much here I was afraid of getting rotten eggs thrown at me. The book is 100 times better, you get to know the characters a lot better AND of course, there were many, many great parts of the book that weren't in the movie.

Don't feel bad about your remark. The paps catching Rob in Malibu is pretty normal for Malibu. It's a hangout for the paps, their odds of catching a celebrity there are always HUGE.

The pictures of Rob were from the 27th and sadly he probably did notice them - it is a double sided sword but I hope they had a fun day today at least :)
Just an observation....
One of the pictures of Rob shows him sitting on his board, surrounded by nothing but water in the middle of the ocean, and he seems to be staring down into the water, just floating in his own space.
It makes me hope that in that moment he found some peace in the midst of nature from all the chaos that tends to 'pop-up' in his life.
I know that of all the moments alone that I have experienced, the ones at the beach or surrounded by the ocean - with it's unique smells and sounds and rhythm - have brought me the most solid sense of peace.
I pray both Rob and Kristen have been able to feel that type of peace this weekend together, in spite of the paps or the rags & hags. They deserve nothing less.

I just found out that Selena the one that died about 19 years ago. The spanish and english singer has the same birthday as me. Exactly the same date. But she was born on 1971. And I was born on 1974. Isn't that amazing. I know she is gone rest in peace. But I still love her songs. This girl.

Frankly, I have to say that I've seen some comments on FB that make me blush and I'm 61, seen it all. I find those type of comments about their anatomy very disrespectful.

When was the wreck on the 177?
On Sunday --- midday. 95 vehicles involved in 3 separate accidents because of heavy fog ... near the VA/NC line. 3 killed and about 50 injured.
ANNIE -- I think I'm wrong, I think it was 17 different accidents, all within a one-mile stretch of highway.
LIZZIED: It's very possible that she's away for the Easter /Passover break.
We will continue to think positive ok. :)

KAY & ANNIE -- Great relief to know she wasn't involved. I think she lives pretty close to the accident scene.
Hi everyone. I am sorry I'm just now getting here. Lizzied I was thinking of you today and that I had to get here to let you know I am okay. You are familiar with the area and I knew you would be worried. You all here at Roseland are so sweet and thoughtful and I care a great deal about all of you.
We were in the area of the wreck later this afternoon and there are no words to describe it just what it is like there.
My community is heartbroken, we are a close knit community. Anytime someone gets killed whether we know them or not we are saddened and this 95 car pile up on Fancy Gap Mountain that left 3 people dead hurts us all.
It looks like a war zone when you drive by there this afternoon. As we came back through one of the towns near the wreck, we saw all the local garages have alot of the cars setting in their lots and you can't comprehend how someone survived that.
I am so grateful that more lives weren't lost. The stories coming out of it are unbelieveable. It's left us all feeling sad because we know how dangerous that mountain is when it is foggy and we who live near it do not go down that mountain when it is foggy. However travelers aren't prone to that knowledge and they still want to go the speed limit and before they know it you can't see anything.
Every year there are these pile ups the last one was 75 cars and 2 dead.
One family managed to survive yesterday due to the husbands quick thinking. After their car was hit when it all first started happening. He screamed get out of the car and run. So they jumped out of their cars and ran up a ramp that runs up the mountain that was put there for tractor trailers when they lose their brakes to try and stop their trucks..they said right when they got up the ramp a truck ran over the top of their car. They knew they would have been killed when they saw that. So many stories like this are coming out now.
Please remember these families in your prayers and even if you don't believe in prayer please remember to be careful when you are driving in fog because you never know what you are going to come upon.

In the new photos of Rob it does look like his arms are shaved or waxed : / I thought maybe he did that because of the wet suit but as I was going back through pics of Rob on Robsten Dreams I thought it looks like his arms are bare (except for a lot of dirt ) in The Rover set photos, I could be wrong because it makes the pics blurry when I stretch them bigger on my iPad.
Didn't realize there was also a video of him boarding, man those paps were really close to him.
ONEHEART!!! Thankfully, you are okay and not involved. I can only imagine the sites you've seen. Yes, I'm aware of all the dangers of that mountain. I remember the stories of years ago before the interstate was finished, not good stories, either.
PAMH -- Actually, in the video that I saw, the paps were a LONG way from him when he was in the water. But they were close to him when he was walking to the house and he looked angry and upset ... I hate that. I'm sure you'll find the video if you google.

I'm so glad your okay :) they televised the accident on our local news in KY and I kept thinking how aweful for that happening at any time but to be at Easter is just so sad. I guess the outcome could have been so much worse considering the amount of people and vehicles involved...but even one is to many.

So I see Robert paddleboarding again in Malibu and that is so appropriate because what else is there to do in Malibu anyway? Besides that, I found that town very BORING.
And now pics of him going inside a fancy ass building and so most likely it's a business meeting. Other than that, it looks like he is is still with Kristen in LA, ha ha, suck it haters.
Anyway, some of you have mentioned Game of Thrones, that show on HBO, and I must say that hubs and I are HOOKED!!! We just finished watching the first season, and now on to the second season. Awesome, awesome show, excellent casting, excellent storyline!!!! Too bad they killed out Sean Bean's character at the end of season 1. He is such a great actor. I applauded at the end of the last episode of season 1 and I never did that before! So far, 4 out of 4 stars.

Oneheart- Glad you are ok. At least you didn't get hurt. And by the way what city is that at? I was in car accident on my birthday. Something always happens to me on my birthday. Few days before my 11th birthday. I taken away from my family . Then on my birthday I was in my late 20's. Me, my husband, my mom, and my daughter were in a car accident. We were driving my mom home. Started going on the 210 freeway going to La. All of sudden on the way driving on the carport. Which we had no warning. Our tired blew out. Then we couldn't drive no more. My husband was putting on the hazzard. Call the tow company they had to call the police which I had no idea. All of sudden some car hit the back of our car. I had a whipped lashed. My daughter was covered with bruised on her legs. She was about 2 or 3 years old. My mom had broken ribs. And my husband alittle head concussions. Just cut on his forehead. But we had a good Samaritan. Came to check on us. Took my daughter. I was kinda worried they would kidnapp her. Which they didn't. I wanted to thank them for helping us and checking on us. Somebody must of saved us. But we were lucky to be alive.

Arleen this happened near the towns of Hillsville and Mt. Airy. Fancy Gap is a small community between Hillsville and Mt. Airy, the Blue Ridge Parkway runs through it. A beautiful place and everyone is extremely friendly and caring. I love this area you never meet a stranger.
Arleen you were very lucky and you and your family had a Guardian Angel that day. Lucky for you and lucky for all of us to still have you around.

ARLEEN -- To add to Oneheart's description of the area ... I live less than 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway in the NC mountains. Only I'm about 75 miles from that area where the accident occurred. The Parkway runs from northern Georgia into North Carolina and then into Virginia. It is Federal land the whole way and no commercial traffic is allowed. It's like a LONG park!!! Oneheart and I are hoping to meet halfway sometime this spring to have lunch or something.

Oneheart- So glad you are safe. When I heard about that accident on the news this morning, I had no idea you and Lizzied live so close to there! Fog is so treacherous. So sad for all involved, my prayers go out to them.
Once in California I was driving on the Grapevine in dense fog -terrified. I just got in the right lane and followed the trucks all the way down. Luckily there are 3 or 4 lanes going one way, so there were no accidents.

Annie - Cosmopolis, I can't even
imagine an audio book, it's so, so hard to understand. At least in the movie the visuals help you comprehend it more. I loved the scene about the death of the singer. Rob really did make Eric understandable, he lead the audience down the whole of Eric's path.
Ginger - It didn't made it out of the 60s here today, but everyone was wearing sun dresses and flip flops!
Lizzied - I didn't notice that about his fore arms. I did think he looked very shorn after that last hair cut in Australia. I'm sure it is for a movie role. Or maybe it make it easier to use bug repellant in Australia! LOL!
