has been incredibly entertaining.
Laugh out loud entertaining.

Why are people in such a fucking tizzy over this show?
I mean... from whatever side of the fence you are looking at it...
Why is it such a big deal?
1. If Summit does indeed have MTV in their PR pocket
(and let's face it, who doesn't Summit own? Bwahaha)
And the whole Twilight related awards
are in fact all fixed and just to sell a PR relationship...
Why is there so much damn foaming over it?
If it doesn't MEAN anything...
Why so angry?
Why so bitter?

I've read people are boycotting the show!

Got my TV set to record.
Big news around here was Trace Adkins house burning to the ground yesterday. Everyone including the pets got out safely, thank goodness. Only his kids and the babysitter were home. They had practiced for just such an event. The news helicopters were flying over all afternoon. I'm about 7 miles away. (entirely different neighborhood, especially size and money)
DK We used to have two muskrats living in the bank of the creek next to my house. It was fun to watch them slide off the bank into the creek and play. Their tails were ugly but the way they played reminded me of otters I seen at the zoo.

Hi to al the lovelies of Roseland...Rose, i'm awfully happy to see a Saturday post, although I didn't get to see it till now...
Thanks for all the good advice about NYC...my daughter had a most amazing time with us...Her mouth dropped open at the beginning of Phantom of the Opera, and I don't think she'd closed it since!! She was soooo excited to see her favorite show on Broadway; our room overlooked Times Square; we ate at a 50's style diner in the theatre district with very talented singing waitstaff; she tasted her first official NY cheesecake; saw where SNL films; and was broadcast in the audience of both the Today Show and Fox this AM; visited Battery Park; saw from a distance the Statue of Liberty; drove by the World Trade Center site and the Brooklyn Bridge; and sat for a street vendor drawing of her portrait! A lot was accomplished in 20 hours! :) I might offer a presentation on "How to experience NYC in less than a day!"
I need a nap before I tune in to the MTV awards tonite...hoping Smitty was wrong and Rob plants a big one on Kris tonite :)

My two cents before I go to bed. The "best kiss" was brilliant and I officially love Taylor. He played along perfectly and loved when he grabbed Rob's chin when addressing romance.
Loved Reese for saving Rob's botched line. He is still darling even when he's nervous.
Kristen looked beautiful, her dress was cool and I see she was sporting her comfortable shoes. Her best actress speech was adorable,she was funny and yes, she earned the popcorn. The loons should really figure out that they are the minority. Rob and Kristen have very loyal fans.I love that they are just real and not the smooth,schmoozy Hollywood

Hi All - I haven't posted in so long. Life has been so busy. I hesitate to even post today because, while you all know I love Kristen and I love Rob, I think I'm in the minority here who did NOT like the best kiss acceptance.
Look... I don't ask for them to share their private lives with me. I like that they keep that to themselves and don't splash it about. I like that they are who they are and don't conform to hollywood stereotypes. BUT - I'll say it - I was bummed with how the executed the best kiss thing. It was kind of a cop-out. I will probably get yelled at for saying it, but it seemed lazy and I was annoyed. I get that it's not up to me and they don't 'owe' me shit. But like 30 said, it's kind of tradition and it's been 3 years now. I would have thought this year would have been the time to give fans what they want.
I don't know. Millions of votes came in for them to win... multiplied by 3 years. That's a lot of votes! 1 kiss (as bella & edward) wouldn't have killed them.
I'll brace myself to get yelled at, but it's how I feel.
I still love those 2, but last night was kind of 'meh' for me.
Kristen did look bad-ass in that dress though. Best dressed of the night...

I think everyone has an opinion on what they should have done, but at the end of the day, they will just do what they are comfortable doing. Kissing Taylor was a better response than last year's because, hey, you still got a kiss.
I understand your frustration but something tells me that the more people speculate and want to see a glimpse of their relationship, the more they will endeavor to hide. And if people stop voting for them then that is their choice. But you have to admit, it makes you wonder what will they try next year so I'm sure the votes will keep on coming.

Loved the MTVMA's last night. Absolutely loved Kristen's dress and her acceptance speech for Best Female Performance. She looked beautiful both in style and confidence.
I thought Rob was hilarious in his comments on stage and the Rob/Taylor kiss was great too.
Rob and Kristen not kissing on stage.........neither here nor there. They deserved to win.
So, are the delusional still flying the "it's all pr and Summit"?.......Silly, delusional fools.
PS: I also loved how Kristen greeted Blake Lively and I have to say I didn't like Reese's jab at Blake Lively.........I don't think that girl deserves four Vogue covers but it's not right at all when other celebrities slam each other like that. It was a low blow and I didn't expect that from Reese. Tell her privately if she needed to but do not make her the brunt of a crude joke when she's embarrassed already.
here's the thing, i just love these two because, they do stuff that they are supposed to do because they are professionals, but they do it their own way because they are originals; they are not performing monkeys. if you order them to kiss, they will not do it, then the second they are off the stage they are all over each other. it's like they think they are alone.

and, i love rob i really do, but his girlfriend breaks my heart. did you see her hug blake lively? they spent what, one afternoon together and they are friends forever, and i lost it when she put her head on ryan reynolds shoulder, she is just so sweet. and seriously, that move would have seemed cheesy if done by anybody else, but she is so genuine, it just seems natural
and finally, there is video of her talking to chelsea handler at the after party....and handler looks completely charmed by her. the fact that she even gives that bitch the time of day, just proves what a class act she is

They're totally unique and completly unpredictable and that's exactly why we love them so much :) As for those who totally misunderstand their comments, unfortunately intellect is a very large component of wit.Rob and Kristen have both in spades but it's in lamentably short supply in some quarters.
