@Super, that’s a funny story about the birds cos i experienced something similar. shortly after i saw “the birds,” i was walking in downtown houston from a client building to our hotel when a huge flock of birds swooped down and started nesting on trees – they were perched everywhere making god-awful noise, thousands of them, i think – black (but not crows). i got so scared & started running to the hotel. i kept saying to my coworker, “omg, omg, it’s like the birds, you know, the birds” & she was looking at me like i was crazy. i had to tell her about the movie lol. but they really were ugly-looking birds & i never did find out what kind of birds they were or why they were nesting in such an urban area cos it was just a one-time meeting with a potential client & our team never went back.
and yes, i really would love it if R&K would do voice-overs. i think they’d be pretty good at it. i always thought that if studios have to pay big bucks to actors for their voices, pick the ones that people would actually recognize, otherwise, what’s the point of using a known actor. they might as well pick unknowns.

Parker, the ending of the movie, scared me to death, where Amy Irving goes to Carrie's grave and then is grabbed by Carrie, of course she was dreaming that but it really scared me.
I loved the Houston bird story, the birds down here do not seem to be afraid of people. We had a dove build a nest in the gutter right outside our front door, so everytime we would walk out the door she would fly out of the gutter and scare my husband and me to death.
Super, Hitchcock had some really great movies, I love "To Catch a Thief" "Dial M for Murder" "Rear Window" amazing movies. Psycho though still gives me the creeps.

DS was a gothic tv soap opera. It came on every weekday around 3:30 pm. Students rushed home from school to see it. Office workers took their afternoon break to watch it. I think it was on 4 or 5 years. They had many story lines...a Phoenix, vampires, werewolves, witches, warlocks..they had seances, went back in time several times...1795 and then 1865.. They also had a parallel universe ...the movie that came out with Depp was a spoof of the original DS series. they were so popular at the time (1966-71) that 2 full length feature films were made. Go to U tube and you will find some stuff there if you are curious enough.
Lol...about the bird avalanche...You know birds descended from dinosaurs so we really should be afraid of them!!!!! Haha

I have terrible asthma, as did my dad - and my daughter has psoriasis (I did, too when I was younger - when I was first diagnosed with asthma, the doctor asked me if I had psoriasis or ecxzema as a kid), so I know it's just a matter of time for her...
@Kami, yes, i didn’t want to say it cos maybe some people have never seen it before but yes that was scary. i was thinking it was a bit similar to “the messengers” where the murderer grabbed Kristen’s feet & tried to drag her down that hole/quicksand. but i kinda expected it there but in carrie i didn’t expect it cos the music sounded so serene & then bam! lol. thinking back, i think i was more startled than scared.

Hi. For Psoriasis I recommend a good quality fish oil. There is a Norweigan fish oil by a company called Renew Life that is excellent and no burping taste. Ah, Quentin!!!!!! I haven't gotten to him in the series yet....:)

If you get Netflix they have DS on there. They start with the episodes where Barnabas Collins, the vampire, comes to Collinwood and it goes through the first travel back in time to 1795... Then they just drop the series...luckily for me the collection became available about the same time I ran out of episodes to watch on Netflix...lol
Hi everyone..all your talk about scarey movies has me thinking of some that have stayed with me over the years. LOL Don't laugh but ever since I watched Halloween..I have never been able to leave my closet door open at night. I know silly me. LOL
Another one that freaks me out is The Grudge (the first one) something about her sends chills down my spine, especially the scene when she crawls up through the covers. Let me tell you if I'm lying in bed and start thinking about that scene..I'm wide awake for most of the night. LOL
An old TV show that use to scare me was Unsolved Mysteries. It wasn't so much the show but the music. If I hear that music even today, I'm jittery and nervous for quite a while. It's wierd how some of the smallest things freak us out the most.

My hubby said he remembered one of the first scary movies he watched that really made him have a nightmare after watching was Phantasim.
For me after seeing Dee Wallace at the horror convention this weekend and seeing her old movie posters behind her it brought back my memory of seeing Cujo when I was younger and it scared me because there was an older couple on our road that had a dog that looked like him.
Ok I cannot stop feeling like I was a total hypocrite by not completely saying what I felt about the teacher in Texas who slept with her students, I know none of you actually care about this, but I can't sleep until I say what I'm thinking.
I completely understand Liz's point about unconditional love and the way I took what she said was "Hey if this guy can forgive someone who did something a million times worse I think people should back off of Rob for his decision" I agree with that completely.
Having said that, the problem I am having is that and this is NOT directed towards LIZ, but comparing Kristen and what happened with her to this woman is like comparing a teacup poodle to a Hellhound. They might share the same family but they are a million miles apart. What happened this summer is very, very innocent, upsetting YES...but innocent none the less. And for those of you keeping score, yes I did just say that.
I am going to only address this woman, mainly because I have nephews who go to school in Tarrant County and I'm irate.
What this woman and her husband decide to do in the privacy of their own home, with consenting adults is their business, I personally find it disgusting, but it's not my marriage.
However what she does at school, on my dime as a citizen of the Great state of Texas, is my business. In my opinion this woman is a sexual predator plain and simple. I realize that these young men were of age, but it is still wrong. If these were female students and a male teacher at the very least this could be called sexual harrassment.
How other people handle things in their lives is their business, but I would hope that for my nieces and nephews that they respect themselves to know a healthy relationship. And I hope that they know that sex is a big deal, and a huge responsibility. Anyone who says differently is fooling themselves. Anything that can produce children BIG DEAL. Anything that can kill you BIG DEAL.
Ok I'm off my soap box, I apologize for getting on it to begin with. I just knew I couldn't sleep until I was honest, and I felt like I had lied in my comments to Parker. So I'm sorry.
@Kami - I think my biggest issue with the student teacher issues we have besides the age gap is we are dealing with a person of trust and authority - these people can very easily manipulate that trust into something else especially when they are young and impressionable. Yes 18 is an adult but think back at 18 - most of us had no idea about the real world. There are so many reasons why people who have a sense of authority should be held accountable for their mistrusts if exercised. I can even understand the husbands choice even if I might not do it myself (I have learned the hard way what I would do in theory is not what I would do in reality) - we don't choose who we love we just love them.

The latest is with a 55 year old, very popular, married science teacher who is said to have had an affair with a student who graduated last year.
The school is a very elite upper eastside school.
The school in question is the one that the show "Gossip Girls" is supposedly modeled after.
As in the case above the teacher is old enough to be the child's parent. It's beyond sickening.

yep I'm about 1.79 (um what's that in feet 5.8?). I read some yrs ago that the Dutch are on average the tallest people in the wold but I never checked if it was true.
Oh and yes we are very nice people, haha. Very easygoing (well I am). Although have to admit, I have more Scotish & Welsh blood in me (grndparents & mom) than Dutch but in my heart I am a true Dutch girl.
Not to sound arrogant but for the Dutch it's very important to know our languages, being a small country. English is a obligatory subject in school and the Dutch have always been avid travelers and colonists (we invaded/nicked enough land/products in the world which made the Netherlands a very rich country). We are surrounded by Germany and Belgium and France is our favourite holiday destination so I suppose it's been stamped into our brains to learn french and german as well. I only live 30 km from the German border and 10 from the Belgium and we have a lot of tourists here.

that’s interesting about the Greek paper interview. somehow, i always had the impression that rob doesn’t put his feelings in so many words but he shows it in looks/touches/protectiveness. and kristen is the one that sometimes slips up during mag interviews. “i’d die for kristen” and “i want her, she’s mine” sound like what edward would say, i.e., very much like lines from a movie :) i’m not saying that it’s not true – in fact, i’d looove for it to be true … it’s just that sometimes things can get lost in translation. but if he did indeed say that, then more power to him, because that’s so, so, very romantic & the kind of stuff that causes major ovarian explosions, not to mention a spontaneous combustion & total meltdown in hyena-land. it’s going to be a very exciting month & a half …

@Parker - the context of the I want her she is mine was him talking about them doing a project together - the interview was nothing about Twilight since it was his Cosmo time. I haven't had time to sit down and read the whole thing but he talked about her a lot. This was Cannes though and he was really loose about talking about her - he made comments about her watching the movie and not relaxing until she said she loved it and such. After I get off work I can find the link to where they have the whole article posted.

I'm very satisfied with the promo, now maybe people will give it a rest on them not working together.

@Parker you are welcome - I follow really funny people so I usually have it good although I have to thank JMF for a picture the other day that bleach won't even erase. I cried for my poor eyes for about 30 minutes after I laughed.The other funny thing about the people too - they believe next to nothing which makes the sanity easier to swallow in that shark tank.

@Topaz - their records have been skipping for weeks now - eventually they will face the music and realize no matter what - their fantasy will never be his reality and once they grasp that they will move on. They have no say in their lives nor should they - stomping their feet, writing letters, and crying into their pillows will never change anything they do. Although they look like a 2 year old removing her from pictures and tweets like that will make her disappear.

Kami, in the past, I took overnight cough suppressants, and it relieved the pain temporarily, but now, I've stopped because I it doesn't work anymore except make it worse for me.

Mine was just a random vampire search on youtube, but that was because i was watching a youtube clip of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (have no idea how my mind went from that to vampires, but it did) where the monster jumps onto of Victor's bride Elizabeth on her bed, reaches down on her, and violently rips out her heart......her lover Victor sees this happening, yells, the monster jumps out the bedroom glass window, and there you have it, Elizabeth is dead........LOL:)

I have the bella fleece throw...edward pillow case...4 diffrent twilight cups...My house is a twilight museum. It's just that all the gifts i get are twilight merchandise.
My boss already know i'm a twilight freak. And there's at least 7 more girls in my job...the oldest is 67...she's retiring this year...we're giving her a twi-farewell.

Two weeks ago my son got sick and has the same cough you all are describing the doctor gave him antibiotics so in wouldn't turn into bronchitis, he is feeling better no other symptoms but that cough still hasn't left but he never brings anything up it's just an aggravating dry cough.
Off to do my Civic Duty.

@Topaz and Kami, my remedy for common cold is: five 16-oz glass/day of green tea (the loose ones not tea bags) with 2 tsps of raw honey + a few kernels of bee pollen, echinacea (1 pill a day) and airborne effervescent tablets. never failed me yet – cold lasts only 1-2 days. only thing is that those with allergies probably can’t take bee pollen as well as raw/unfiltered honey cos they may contain some bee pollen. so a substitute would be regular honey. don’t know if this will work for everyone cos it may also depend on how strong your immune system is but this works for me – i don’t even need to take cold tablets.

I am so excited to see Kristen and Rob during promotions. I understand why she is not being seen, as TwiHusband said she has had a bulls eye on her back because of the haters and wants to have some down time. I think its a good idea, sad to think of it, but still a good idea. She will be fine during promotion, Rob will look out for her and they have security, they will be prepared.
I got my computer back last night! Thankfully I have the Geek Squad insurance and only had to pay for the hard drive. I have been busy loading things back into it, and of course school takes up a lot of my time. Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone here.....

Has it quieted down on twitter today? The crap headlines seem to be a little less, but I know when promo starts that will turn bad again.
Good evening everyone.
So I just read the rules of conduct and rules/regulations on RobstenDreams regarding camping outside the theater. I have some questions and a few comments.
1. you know the fans that stand behind the barricades along the red carpet, are those fans the same ticketed campers, and are they also guaranteed in the theater to see the movie?
2. you know the fans that stand on the bleachers across the street from the theater, are they also ticketed campers, or are they just fans that actually arrived there early to stand in line to get a spot on the bleacher? If so, how early do you have to stand in line to get a spot?
3. From what I read of the rules and regulations, it doesn't sound like what they have in place will keep the crazies out, the ones who will possibly be there to harass both stars. And if the selection process of campers is random, then I doubt Summit will have these people get background checked. Are there really crazy people who plan to attend the premiere?
4. I ask because if it's easy to get a bleacher spot, I will consider driving down there with my husband to join the bleacher fans since it's the last movie. I never thought about doing something like this before for any movie star, but I think after 4-5 years of watching from indoors, I'd like to actually see these people in the flesh, that would be nice:))) But if it's really difficult to get a spot on the stand, that's ok, I'll just stay home.
