After 27 years of marriage.
Sad news.

This will be her first public appearance
since the 'incident'.
Everyone will be watching even more intently

That's what I think she will do.
Be strong and do her job.

I am excited about seeing Kristen this week, as well as reading her interview in Vogue I think it is. I am also nervous for her but I am sure she will have lots of security around her. Looking forward to seeing her smile.

That US ragshit violated every journalism ethics. And chose it's victim so well. I am a forgiving person but not in this case.
The tabloids did the 'massive' re-hashing of the fiction they created because they stand by each other for the 'freedom of bullying' actors.
George Clooney is the only one i know of to budge against the abuse and i think all them actors should back him up so these tabloid and paparazzi pests will be eradicated.
Use their money to push for a stricter law that will protect the actors from ragshit abuse.
May the families of those people behind US mags suffer just as much ...if not MORE.

This is the first time I have said this but after today - I hope she does leave Hollywood. It is not fair but I would like to see her sever all ties and just walk away - the audacity of anyone in Hollywood or in those articles pointing a finger at her is not only appalling but a whole lot hypocritical. I hope at least the cast that is there on Thursday shows unity and supports her - the rest should just move the fuck on to someone else to leech on. You need to be able to see the bigger picture if you haven't already. The media is a very powerful entity. They own anything that is in print, every piece of "news" and gossip and that includes fashion magazines and promotional magazines. They love to write gossip, especially "scandals". This kind of "news" generates the biggest buck for them because they know the masses are "lazy" as Robert has said when it comes to escaping reality. Kristen needs to understand this. I hope by now, she is enlightened by what happened. They don't care about her well being. She has lived in a very dangerous fantasy world where the big men behind the scenes pull all the strings from those who lend money/control the studios to the very minions like the paparazzi and yes down to us lunatic fans/haters. The best we can do to help her is stay out of twitter/social networks that spew hate/gossip/lies and not buy their shit. I think blogs are ok if there is a moderator that controls gossip/lies that the media may pick up on.
@Ginger, I have thought this for a while and yes, in order for the hate to stop, she needs to step away, for how long, I'm not sure because I don't think you can defeat the media. He who controls the media, control the money flow, controls the economy, controls the laws, controls individual lives. It is best to walk away for her protection and I hope Rob loves her enough to take her away from the spotlight after BD promotional duties.

And I wanted to add that those celebrities who have decided to step back into that fantasy world either have not learned their lesson yet, or they have decided to play their game/play with fire no matter the possible dire consequences, or they are trying to make a change for the better (highly unlikely against a monstrous force like the media and most of those who fall into this category are not living at the moment, unfortunately). There are very few who decided to step down, and most recently the great Black comedian Dave Chappelle who has a farm called "the fuck you Hollywood farm."
@Annie and Topaz - the biggest issue is just how quiet it is. No one is sticking up for her (I am not talking fans). I don't care what she did at all, it was a personal matter and she has got to have the shittiest PR team in the world. A few cease and desist would have been nice but nope , nothing. At least Ray Winstone had balls to tell someone to mind their fucking own - I guess at the end of the day none and I mean none of the others give one lick about her. Summit/Lionsgate has promotional money invested in the VMAs. Someone, one of them has to go. I think Rob knows the dire consequences if he doesn't go and he's just playing their game, I don't think it has anything to do with him appearing because Kristen will not be there. I think Kristen is lucky that Rob is going. In my opinion, he is saving her ass, that's they way I want to see it, and don't care if I'm wrong later on. If Taylor isn't going, I'm not surprise because BD is all about Edward and Bella, right?

The way I see it, even though the public is on his side, appearing at the VMAs is bigger humiliation for him than Kristen appearing at Tiff. He will be scrutinized by every celebrity big and small at the VMAs whereas Tiff is a more respectable environment to be in. He is saving her ass, that's the way I see it.

Well, I think to rebuild Kristen's image are hard to do. Nobody will use her as spoke person or face of fashion house anymore...I read on a magazine her contract for Balenciaga is safe...at lease just for this summer.
Her PR team don't do anything to the media. Kristen have to learn from Angelina Jolie...Angie had a bad image but she is to allured to ignore...everybody in HW wants her..so Kristen must make movie constantly...indie movie with respectable actors...Colin Firth, Sandra Bullock, Meryl Strep, Anne Hathaway...She can do supporting roles...to avoid any kind of big attention...So, everybody will see the movie because of those actors and if she keeps doing good on those movies..she can move on as an actress...and grab another lead role when she's ready...
That's my opinion...I'm so concerned for her career and well being...

Summit is appealing to it's crazy fan base - BD2 is most defiantly about Bella and Edward - lets just see how much Bella promoting there is going to be done by them. The books are Bella's point of view and her transformation - take the actors who play them out of it.

Kristen didn't do right, but she is also young and like so many in this world, made a mistake. Yet she is being cruicified and all because she was Rob's GF. Honestly, I think she screwed up big time in the land of Hollywood. Like Ginger said, no one has stood up for her because there is a lot of competition in Hollywood. It's too late. I don't know if it's possible to repair her image, in my opinion. There is a lot of jealousy and hatred aimed at this girl for a long time now and I don't think that will ever change. That is possibly the sad truth.
When I heard that she will appear at Tiff, I asked myself why. I know she is proud of that movie, but I really think it's because she was originally scheduled to attend the VMA with Robert and Tiff is a valid excuse to evade the public humiliation at the VMA. I highly doubt she wants to do appear at any public function right now, or even face her peers. Why do you think she pulled out of Cali?, I hope that is official. so I guess you're saying the fans of BD2 don't want her to appear at the vmas, that's why Summit will not have her be there? If so, I am not aware of that. I don't think it's fair to compare RDJ with Kristen. No one hated RDJ before his problems occured and no one cares I think. Kristen has had a lot of haters since the beginning and she has always known this.
A long time ago, I knew something was wrong with RDJ, but didn't care enough to know about his personal life, I guess that's the way it should be, and I think he has done well now because people don't care about his personal life and we live in a world where there is a double standard when it comes to gender.
