I am not sure what to say to all of that. Rose never said she has insider information. She clearly states this is her opinion. I think it is also stated, and it is really only common sense, that they might go to the BAFTAS if their work schedule permits.

Can you PROVE that she had not, in fact, broken things off several times but tried to give him the benefit of the doubt because she is kind-hearted and did not want to hurt someone who she believed cared for her?

I think if you go see the movie you will see Tom in a very different light from Duckie--lol--although trust me that comparison will not be forgotten.
It really is an excellent movie and all of the cast does a beautiful job.
Remember that in order to get into the movie you actually need two tickets per person. Its a special they are running this weekend. One for the price of two so if you want to go you will need to purchase two tickets. Enjoy the show!

Hi, I do, but don't know where to start tonight, maybe tomorrow, perhaps a little one tonight for you.
I can tell you about our birthday dinner out at an Italian restaurant, where an Irish man played accordian and sang Italian songs.
We walked in and had to sit at the bar until a table was available. Next to us were two guys kind of squeezed into a small space.
One asked us to all move over and we did, well, actually I forgot to move over, but enough others did that it looked very courteous of us.
Really, they did not get any more room and didn't need it either. That is a way that Chicago men get womens' attention. It worked and we started talking for a while. I was impressed that the one man was drinking cognac for I am a fan.
Both mentioned it being a Saturday (always like that confirmed for me) and how their dates had left or didn't show (not sure). We made sympathetic faces and murmured comforting words like, oh, and oh, my, oh, too bad, like that. They were happy with us for doing that, we could tell.
The place is famous for their huge Long Island Tea drinks (5 shots of booze and some Coke) in a hurricane glass. We ordered them, as so many others we doing. Very delicious, and we hoped that one drink would get us through the dinner, and it did.
But, we had to leave the bar and be seated at a table, so off we went, while saying farewell to the boys. They kindly wished us happy dining. Very appropriate, very dull of them. Sorry but we didn't even look back at them, they lost our interest.
Although I have to say, only my toes warmed up, not my brain, no feeling of warm expectation either. Same with Vee, she was disappointed in that, also.
My toes are usually cold now that the fashion is no socks, especially if you are trying to look trendy, and it is a thrill when some force of nature (alcohol) comes along and warms them right up. After all, this is Chicago weather I am talking about.
