Rob and Kristen- Delicious. Delightful. DeLovely.

Right where she belongs.

Here it is.
Finally.
Kristen on the cover of VOGUE!
Gorgeous.
Beautiful.
As always.

Well Deserved, Kristen!

Stunning.

I love looking at Kristen.
She's so refreshingly
Naturally
Spectacular.

But you know what I love even more?
Reading her thoughts.
Because she doesn't share that much with us...
So I treasure her words when she does.

On portraying Bella Swan:

"a character who is embedded in so many people's psyches at this point. It's starting to enter my head a lot more than it used to because it's at the end and it's come such a long way. I just want the fans of the book to be happy." She laughs. " I don't necessarily care about anyone else."

On Friends and Cooking:

Her new hobby is cooking, no doubt encouraged by the fact that she lives in a somewhat isolated way: "You build a perimeter of people that are really important to you." Friends tease her for watching the Food Network with a stern frown of concentration on her face. "I'm such a dork." (The frown pays off. For lunch, she prepares an elaborate, and delicious, Mexican tortilla soup with numerous condiments, along with pulled-pork sandwiches.) She also likes involving private membership and small numbers of people over large areas. So far, a regular if interesting young woman. In other ways, not regular at all.

On Rob:

endless speculation about her relationship with her co-star Robert Pattinson, which she refuses to discuss. ("It's not my job.")

It's not my job.

Exactly.
Just another example of how Kristen doesn't SELL
her relationship with Robert.
How she doesn't need to use Rob... to promote ANYthing.

CONGRATULATIONS KRISTEN!!
✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿✿❀✿❀✿❀✿❀✿

Gah.

Oh my.
I honestly don't think Robert has ever looked better.
Sexier.
Beautiful.

Reese looks GORGEOUS.

And contrary to foaming opinion...
I can't fucking WAIT for this movie to come out...

I have a couple of reasons

1. As stated above...
ROB LOOKS FANTASTIC.

2. As a Robert Pattinson fan...
I go to his movies and support him.
Unlike some people who don't approve of the choices
he makes in his private life...
I will continue to be intoxicated with him.

3. I love Reese Witherspoon.
I look forward to seeing her and Rob onscreen.
I have no anxiety about this...
Why does anyone else?
It's his JOB.

4. I can't wait for some stills and movie clips
to show Rob and Reese's onscreen chemistry.
I want this movie to work.
I want this movie to be successful!
That includes Rob and Reese looking natural onscreen.
Beside the fact...
That maybe once these things are released...
Some people can retire the rehashed pics from Remember Me
every time a picture of Rob and Kristen is put out there.
"Look at Rob and Emilie! This is how it's done!"
Well.
You look at one still...
and compare it to a movie clip.
All I have to say to that is...
VAMPIRE SEX!
;)

WoooHooo!
Mr. Tom Sturridge.
His new movie
"Waiting for Forever"
is coming out February 4th.
I can only hope to see his face
(and oh God... hear his sultry, sexy voice)
EVERYWHERE.

I want to see him in interviews.
I want this movie to be HUGE for him.
I want to see more
Tom Sturridge.

You can never get enough.

At least I can't.

@ND

Yes.

SHUT THE HELL UP.

Just a spoonful of JEALOUS
Makes the Bitterness go down
The Bitterness go down...
The Bitterness go down.
A spoonful of JEALOUS
Makes the Bitterness go down
In the most Disgusting way!

This post is brought to you by the letters *B* and *V*

B for
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

BROTHER!

V for VOGUE!
Love
Love
Love
it!

TWIRL!

Bye for now

Hi Cate

I agree on all accounts :)

Rhonda said...

Tracy

I agree with you. When it comes to this particular husband..I may not be down with the sharing part..lol!

Elaine said...

Kay-

hahaha I think since they'l have extra rooms you should find your own hottie :)

Cate!!!! How are you?? So good to see you!

Anonymous said...

Cate!!

wassup?!?

Cate said...

Elaine!

Woman you are a hard chick to catch up with :)

Shitty couple days, but nothing some good friends and a drink can’t cure.

How’s life been treating you?

Anonymous said...

E! hehe.. I'm sitting here saying in my best Lucky Charms leprechaun voice.. "She's always after me Irish hottie!!"

Kay said...

I don't know Elaine, I can be pretty patient! But then again....extra rooms could make it interesting...... ;)

Anonymous said...

OMGOSH!

Those are penguins with underoos on!!!!!

CATE!!! hehehehehe

Elaine said...

Cate-

God It has gotten so busy for me I barely have time to breathe! I've been really good-everyone is great!
I'm glad the shitty days are over-damn right about the good friends and drinks! I'm having a few tonight and my mood keeps getting better and better :)

Melinda said...

Hey ladies...how is everyones' Friday night?

Love the shed-no place like it!

Had a flying gorilla tonight and man am I flying.

SueBee said...

Melinda!

What's in a Flying Gorilla? That sounds interesting!

Kay said...

Hi Melinda!

WTH is in a flying gorilla?!?!?!

Cate said...

Tracy,
Why yes, yes they are!

Now I didn’t question the penguins if those were “normal” male briefs or if they had some alterations?!

Rhonda said...

Hi Melinda!

Elaine said...

Kay-

I think you could be patient waiting your turn in one of the extra rooms with your own hottie. Time would go by faster that way!

Elaine said...

hey Mel-

Flying gorilla??? Please explain lol

Kay said...

Thats what I was thinking Elaine! Excellent idea!!! Patience with a plan. :)

Melinda said...

It's chocolate liquor, banana liquor, cream de cacao and choc. ice cream. Man is it good!

Also had a couple of amaretto sours.

Also went to see Country Strong. Really good movie. A few surprises that through me for a loop.

Garrett Hedlund is a pretty good singer I found out.

Anonymous said...

ACK!

Uhm.. yeah..

Phew!!

I can't even think straight right now.. my brain just TOTALLY took a detour.

Rhonda said...

Cate

I think it's a 'bodysuit'..LOL :)

Cate said...

Elaine,
fistbump on the improving mood! Hell yea!

Happy Friday Melinda! I hope by the time I get this out you have explained the flying gorilla! :)

Rhonda said...

Melinda

I liked Country Strong too :)

Kami

Garrett is all kinds of yummy!

Melinda said...

Cate your avi is cracking me up!

Melinda said...

Okay flying gorillas makes me think of banana hammocks which is not a pretty picture at the moment...

SueBee said...

Melinda

I do love some amaretto sours. Usually my go to drink when I'm out.

Cate said...

Oh god Rhonda! lol

Has no one really ever wondered why men’s underwear only come in three options? Briefs, boxers, or boxer briefs yet women have an entire department dedicated to various panty forms?

SueBee said...

Well there are also the speedo briefs (banana hammocks) that I'll have to pass on. LOL

Rhonda said...

Cate

That's true but do we really want to give our men that many options...lol

Kay said...

eewwww, Melinda! I didn't need to think of banana hammocks! blech!

Cate - maybe they only have three options so that we do not get distracted from the goods?

Melinda said...

Rhonda-

without giving away what happens in Country Strong where you surprised with the way it finished?

Cate-

I don't get it either. Can you imagine men in any of the options we women have? LOL!

Susan-

I love amaretto sours. I can drink amaretto straight but I like sours better.

Elaine said...

Cate-

I think commando is the way to go-lol-things get done faster that way.

Rhonda said...

Melinda

Yes I wasn't expecting it to end that way. What did you think of Tim McGraw ?

Anonymous said...

All this male underwear talk.. now I'm going to go around for a few days and wonder which a dude is wearing when I see him!!

Gross!!! Bleh.. okay.. gross..

*sigh*

My mind just isn't meant to have nice clean wholesome thoughts..

SueBee said...

I'm a boxer brief lover myself.

Rhonda said...

Elaine

I kinda like boxer briefs but you can't go wrong with commando

Rhonda said...

Tracy

LOL..just blame it on the 'shed'

Cate said...

Melinda,
I think I can picture it! Tracy painted me quite a mental picture this week of prancing cheekies that has had me laughing inappropriately ever since!

Suse,
You know you would swing in that banana hammock if it was anchored by the right tree :)

Elaine,
I love a good quickie, but sometimes the anticipation of unwrapping the present makes the wait worth it!

SueBee said...

Cate

You have a point, dear friend!

Melinda said...

Rhonda-

I like Tim McGraw as an actor. Will I ever think he will win awards? Probably not but he isn't horrible at it considering he is a singer first.

As for going commando I'm obviously not a man but to me I would think that no barrier (and rubbing) wouldn't feel so good on the jewels. I know men do it so obviously it doesn't bother them.

Anonymous said...

Oh Rhonda.. I flove the shed :)

My home away from home!!

hehehe.... dancing cheekies... hehehe

Cate said...

Suse,

You know I love ya! There isn't a one of use that isn't true for :D

lol

Kay said...

Elaine....maybe I have just been exposed to too much plumbers crack in my lifetime to be able to completely embrace the beauty of commando as a choice.....on the right individual, I imagine I would appreciate it. ;)

SueBee said...

The problem with commando is that one quick zip the wrong way could end up being, well, um, painful!

Seriously, the goods are right there in the front!

Anonymous said...

We need to ask a dude about chafing the jewels while going commando.. how do you prevent that?

Do you dangle to the left or the right of the seem? Is there a preference for different dudes? or one acceptable choice?

And what happens when an issue comes up? Do you nudge left or right of the zipper? because OUCH! Can't imagine that'd feel comfy against a zipper..

These are things I wonder...

Kami said...

Problem with guys going comando...causes their balls to sag

Rhonda said...

Melinda

I agree. TM does a decent job in a supporting role. I couldn't really see him playing the lead.

Yes going commando probably is a liitle rough on a man's merchandise..lol.

bev said...

Ladies, there are pictures of Rob holding a baby on set to die for, put the shed on hold. lol

Elaine said...

Susan-

hahahah that would not be good at all!

Rhonda said...

Hi Kami!

Mary said...

In tailor speak they ask men if they dress on the left or on the right. Apparently, it is not something they control as to which side they fall on.

Rhonda said...

Hi Penny!

SueBee said...

Kami

Saggy balls? For reals? Is it like a guy version of a woman needing to wear a bra?

Gross, but true, my sister calls the saggy ones "goat balls."

:o)

Susan

Melinda said...

Anyone remember the zipper scene in the movie "There's Something about Mary"?

That is what I am picturing right now!

Poor guys...the things they have to think of because of what they are carrying around.

SueBee said...

Hi PL

Damn, now I'm going to try not to check who is a righty or a lefty.

Mary said...

Just did a drive by.

Night all.

SueBee said...

Franks and beans!

Rhonda said...

Melinda

Oh you're right! I forgot about that..OUCH!

Kay said...

Hi Kami and Penny!

Susan - goat balls?!?!

Rhonda said...

Goodnight Penny

SueBee said...

Kay

Yeah, because apparently they're saggy too?

Melinda said...

Night Penny who has the most interesting knowledge.

Hey Kami!

Susan- I am going to be doing the same thing probably. Never put much thought into sides for men.

Cate said...

Happy Friday Kami and PL!

So they do naturally hang left or right and some like it better up or down, but there has to be some secret for not getting the carpet caught in the zipper if you’re going to go commando? Since swimmers are the only ones I know of that shave EVERYTHING maybe that was the reason behind the button fly?

Rhonda said...

It's been a blast ladies- I'm out.

Have a great night. Sweet dreams :)

Anonymous said...

So men don't have the choice of which direction to nudge, huh?

Yeah... Suse.. now it's going to be what kind of underwear and which way are ya leaning there dude?

Hi and G'night then Penny!!
:)

Oh lord.. forgot about the carpet issue!! That has to get uncomfy with the zipper and all.. ouch

Melinda said...
This comment has been removed by the author.
Kay said...

Good night Penny and Rhonda!

Cate, I'm thinking button fly has got to be the way to go.....

my word verification is "hunkless"....see, even blogger knows that Tracy is hiding JRM...

Cate said...

Good night Rhonda and PL (talk about quickies:)

Melinda…natural gel! lol and ewww
You know most “gel” gets pretty crispy when it dries. Talk about chaffing!

Melinda said...

Cate-

I deleted that comment b/c it was a little too gross. I blame it on the gorilla! LOL!

But yes major chaffing going on if they used any product down there to keep things all nice and neat.

I would think button down would be the only way to go or major trimming.

SueBee said...

I'm trying really hard to come up with something witty but my mind has drawn a blank!!!

Hey! My security word is mytom.
Now there's something to smile about.

Cate said...

Melinda… Sorry. Let me know if you want me to take my down too.

Suse, I hate the wonky words because mine never make any sense! They aren’t even words. I can’t spell well on a normal day so how the hell am I suppose to make those work?

Anonymous said...

Wonky security words..

Mine's "tomajoym"

intereeeeeeeeeesting...

I sense a pattern here

Kay said...

I'm going to say good night....sweet dreams everyone! :)

WTH is noedgedn????

SueBee said...

Tracy

I read your security word as "Tom Enjoy Him"

Good pattern!

Melinda said...

Cate-

Don't take it down. Sometimes I worry that I may be too inappropriate on a public blog. Although this is pretty tame, tbh. I can be way worse!

No "tom" in my word verification. :(

Melinda said...

Night Kay...sweet dreams

Susan- I like your thinking!

Elaine said...

Good Night Kay!!!

SueBee said...

Melinda

Yeah, my mind goes there a lot. No help for it! LOL

Susan

SueBee said...

Goodnight Kay!! Sweet dreams!

Kristen looks so beautiful on the cover of Vogue..I am so proud of what she has accomplished. I agree WFE is going to be a great movie and I am really looking forward to it. At least the haters won't be hinting at a romance between Rob and Reese, since she has a very nice looking boyfriend of her own. I wish people would stop all the rumors, because when an actor makes a movie, they are doing their job, nothing more. Take care Rose and all Roselanders. Oh, even if we don't see Kris, I would bet money she will be with Rob in LA for the weekend.

gwen said...

lovely Kristen. im not really a fan of Vogue but since Kristen is on it, guess i have to scout all the bookstore here to buy me some copy. i wish Waiting for Forever will be shown here(crossing my fingers). cant wait for WFE and Rob with the baby is soooo adorable, lol.

The Way You Tonight

Chad & Jeremy-1968
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feKgdqgA5Bg

Someday, when I'm awfully low
And the world is cold
I will feel a glow just thinking of you
And the way you look tonight

Yes, you're lovely
With your smile so warm, and your cheek so soft
There is nothing for me but to love you
Just the way you look tonight

With each word your tenderness grows
Tearing my fear apart
And that smile that wrinkles your nose
Touches my foolish heart

Lovely, never, never change
Keep that breathless charm
Won't you please arrange it, 'cause I love you
Just the way you look tonight

Thank you/lorjim58

DreamerKind said...

@Gwen
How are you, babe? What's going on for the weekend?

gwen said...

DK
im fine now just stressed out last week. nothing much to do on weekends, stay at home, the usual boring stuff im doing. you know eat, sleep, watch tv/movies or reading when i like to. how's the throat?

Bren said...

I see the little ladies of the night are still hanging....

Thanks for the song DK, just listened to it...reminds me of Father of the Bride...and tomorrow we have the wedding....

We just got home, and I should be heading to the spirit in the sky.....instead of to the blog.

DreamerKind said...

@Gwen & Bren

My gangstas, all in one place!

My throat is icky and I sound like a bullmoose, but it is a diversion, that I cannot do a damn thing about, but enjoy the change of pace.

Slower, and slower is like the tortoise and the hare, but I'll win the race, yet.

gwen said...

why do i always hear a song with a "marry me" on it? is it a sign or what? i like Bruno Mars and The Train Marry Me, lovely song

LOL verif word---lonsly

DreamerKind said...

@Bren
I dedicated the song to Kristen but you may consider yourself a beauty also, who's just not on the cover of Vogue yet! So happy you enjoyed it.

Bren said...

Is the throat still bothering you? maybe you need antibiotics---or tequila....take your pick.

Bells,

Definitely an omen, I thought you were in love with a soccer player?

word verif. resse---DK, she haunts me...

DreamerKind said...

@Gwen
I think you will get married in 2011, and that's the universe telling you to "look sharp", "seek and you will find", and....stuff.

DreamerKind said...

@Bren
Tequila, don't have any, can you believe that for I have everything in the hard liquor line, except that?

OK, I'll get some warmed Crown Royal with lemon, right now, Dr. B.

DreamerKind said...

@Bren
Had a clove of chopped garlic 2 hours ago, and coughed up a continent, as it is the world's most powerful antibiotic, bar none, perhaps, maybe, tequila!

TMI, and Dreamer knows it, the dickens....

Bren said...

You can dedicate it to my "mirror, mirror" at work....of course she probably thinks she's too beautiful to be on Vogue....

Bells,

I'm talking about my co-worker who brought in a big mirror and put it on her desk, so she can look at herself all day....

gwen said...

Bren

I only admire the player(s) nothing too fancy, lol. But golly they're hot, Im confuse as to who is my no.1 LOL

DK

Since you predict i'll gt married this year... that change of zodiac sign, i dont like. I still consider myself as a Virgo

DreamerKind said...

@Bells
I'll be checking out those songs you mentioned for I haven't heard them and new songs are essential to my happiness and state of being.

Bren said...

Gwen,

I'm a Virgo too....but the switch did not affect me....it did change everyone else in my household...LOL

DreamerKind said...

@Bells
Ring them bells, ring them bells. The bells are ringing for Gwen and her guy. Tra, la, la.

Consider yourself whatever sign that appeals to you, for if it makes you unhappy to be other, than it is wrong for you to choose.

Be bold, forge new frontiers, wear PINK.

gwen said...

DK

you should i really like it. im having a hard time deciding if i will watch their game live or not since i cant just leave my work and asking some friend to accompany me

DreamerKind said...

This alledged, supposed, maybe, change in zodiac signs, is just about the most exciting thing to happen to the world, since ice cream, don't you think, and/or maybe sandwiches with french fries?

Definitely, french fries, thank you France! Yo, Vangie, thank you!

DreamerKind said...

@Bren & Gwen
I was madly in love with a Virgo man, and never forgot him. He was an outstanding kisser, took me to another plane of existence, no lie.

DreamerKind said...

Or was it another plain? Don't care, both would apply and did.

gwen said...

Hey Bren maybe we're on the same date of birth? that would be cool lol

DreamerKind said...

@Gwen
If you can't leave work and ask someone to go along to the game, where is the issue, darling?

I say, call in sick, you're almost into a new adventure anyway.

When is that dangerous vacation again? February? I want details.

Birdie said...

Good morning ladies! I can't believe you are all here!

Bren said...

There was an astrologist on CNN today and basically what she said was don't believe what the expert astronomers are telling you...evidently everyone is raising holy hell over this...she said the new signs were a bunch of crap....

I say believe whatever you want...

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
We are but those two leave me alone a lot, so I get to rambling without focus. But you are here, so am I, maybe millions of people go by....Lurkers, awake and join us.

DreamerKind said...

@Bren
The wise ones will adjust to the scientific proof and then be the right ones. Others are backpedaling cause it is a HUGE change to process.

You know I Am A New Sagittarian and proud of it!

Bren said...

Hey Birdie,

I actually just got here...I wanted to see what Rose wrote about today. I don't know how long the other ladies have been here...are you heading off to work?

Gwenie, when is your birthday?

gwen said...

DK

yeah i have an early summer vacay. no it is not an adventure, just on a beach. dont worry, ill post it on fb

Birdie said...

So what's new ladies, besides your astrological sign?
Bren, did a woman really put a mirror at her deak?

DreamerKind said...

Must post another comment so I can use the word verf. which is

"Bastrati"

A new swear word in the new cosmos, with a new zodiac sign, for the new DK to use.

Get away from here you bastrati! (Makes me feel like I'm in an opera by Verdi, of course)

Da, da, da, da, da, da, da.

Ooh, no, not castrati....

gwen said...

Hello Birdie!

Bren- mine is on the 8th. when is yours?

DK-i dont care if they change the zodiacs, it will not affect my life. im not into zodiacs anyway.

Birdie said...

that would be desk not deak

Birdie said...

So how does this new sign fit you better DK?
Gwen I am not real familar either and I read the list. I'm not sure if it changed me. I was an Aries.

Bren said...

This is funny, Nicole is exactly ten days younger than Rob...she was born May 23, 1986, and he was born May 13 of 86...well now she has to change to Taurus....and her biggest threat when she was young, and she was Gemini, (sign of the twins) she was always referring to her evil twin...I guess that is gone now...her new thing is going to have to be "you mess with the bull, you get the horns"...

word verif....mouse....I got a mouse, I got a mouse....

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
Now I am fun-loving, happy, celebrative, unemotional, cold, delightful and greatly loved.

Before I was ambitious, controlled, organized, distant, snarky and hard to love.

Weighing the two, the new one suits me better, so I'm being it.

And now I don't have to marry another Aries, Birdie, for I have new signs that are a better match!

Glorious, glorious creation and new found things to love.

gwen said...

Birdie

i sometimes read what's on my sign and its not true at all, lol. but i do like what attributes a Virgo. oftentimes it describes me.

gwen said...

Hey guys have you seen the new pic of Rob holding a baby? adorable isnt he, the baby and Rob lol

DreamerKind said...

@Bren
Tell Nicole, I said to change it up and own it. Now she has Kristen's automatic "bull" detector!

Bren said...

Gwen ,

Mine is the 21st..

Birdie,

Yes, she did--still has it...she is literally in love with herself....has pics of herself up everywhere...and she loves for everyone to tell her how beautiful she is...some kiss her ass, and tell her what she wants to hear...jeremy (a funny dude)will call her Miss January this month, then next month he'll call her Miss February...he is hilarious..

ok another funny story....

We were at my in-laws one day...and my sister in law was bragging about her nose....she was telling all her siblings she had the prettiest nose, they all agreed, she did....two weeks later, she was rear-ended and wasn't wearing her seatbelt, and her nose hit the steering wheel, and you guessed it she broke it...ouch...not funny, really...but you have to be careful when you're vain...it can be taken from you, in a second....

DreamerKind said...

@Gwen
The adored husband to be, will appear sometime near the early summer vacation, if not on it.

Let's consult the magic "8" ball, just to be sure.

Got one? Rose does.

Birdie said...

What's wrong with Aries and since you are so knowledgeable what is the definition of Aries?

DreamerKind said...

@Bren
I'm so vain, I bet I thought that story was about me, about me.

Was it?

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
My definition of "Aries" would be two ex-husbands.

Otherwise, have no idea, only experience.

But perhaps, they are no longer Aries and so I can indeed marry another. I'll have to check on that.

See what I mean, new information, can rock your world, if you let it.

gwen said...

DK

i dont maybe i'll just consult an astrologer or any expert who will be my husband to be. seriously though, im still enjoying singlehood as of now lol

Birdie said...

Ah,vanity..My father knocked that out of all of us. Not physically, but it was never encouraged in our house.
I really can't believe a person would have the .... (I can't think of a word)to put up a mirror and pictures of themself. Hysterical. What do you do again?

DreamerKind said...

@Gwen
Oh, but what a difference a day makes, 24 little hours, and love walks right in, and there you go, being bewitched, bothered, bewildered, and yes, then married, and so happy together.

Birdie said...

So Dk how do you describe an Aries?

My word verif.: trust; never had an actual word.

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
The word would be "fascination" for one who would need to gaze at their own countenance, repeatedly.

Ja?

gwen said...

Bren

is that the officemate "who so love thy self" the one who put a big (almost life-size?)mirror on her desk? WOW, such a huge ego. lets ask beyonce about that, lol

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
Are you trying to pin me down to actually saying something concrete about Aries tonight?

Trying to hang me out to dry and put me through the ringer, at the same time? You dickens!

Bren said...

DK,

I only said tequila earlier cuz I had a Tequila Sunrise this evening, and it was wonderful....so wonderful in fact, that I stumbled when I got up....but garlic, I hear works wonders...

gwen said...

by that i mean her song :)

Bren said...

Gwenie,

You are sooo funny...did you actually say thyself...you go, girlie,girl...

DreamerKind said...

Bren has returned!

The sky is falling, the sky has fallen!

DreamerKind said...

@Gwen
What is that Beyonce song?

Birdie said...

Yes, DK , but only because I really don't know. It must not be to flattering if you don't want to tell.HAHA
Gwen,
I just looked at the pictures with the baby. He looks very comfortable for a young guy and pretty damn cute.

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
Just kiddin!

If you are an Aries, it must be a wonderful thing to be, that's my view and I'm stickin' to it.

DreamerKind said...

Can't stand it anymore-what pic, what baby? Is it the pic with the werewolf female actor that had one not long ago, or another?

Bren said...

DK,

I'm sorry, sometimes---not all the time, but yes sometimes I might miss a post or two, so then I have to go back and recap...just a case of bad short term memory..

Birdie said...

I'll take that,DK. Since I know how wonderful I am, now excuse me, I am putting my mirror up.

DreamerKind said...

@Bren
Not buying that, not at all. Tell R. to leave you alone and that tonight is not for barn dancing, no Siree.

gwen said...

DreamerKind said...

@Gwen
Thanks, I'll give it a listen soon.

Birdie said...

Good luck with that one,DK. Cold and unemotional, you are not!
The pictures don't really give anything away.

Birdie said...

Good night Bren. A wedding? Wear your dancing shoes.

DreamerKind said...

I knew it, and that you got that so quickly, negates the bad short term memory claim, you made earlier.

Meow, meow, pussycat! (Means sleep well and have fun, you minx)

Some People

Bernadette Peters-on stage Gypsy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xCMyNEP_2E

Momma Rose
Anybody that stays home is dead
If I die it won't be from sitting

It will be from fighting to get up and get out!
Some people can get a thrill
knitting sweaters and sitting still.
That's okay for some people
who don't know they're alive.

Some people can thrive and bloom
living life in the living room.
That's perfect for some people
of one hundred and five.

But I at least gotta try
when I think of all the sights that I gotta see
and all the places I gotta play,
all the things that I gotta be at.
Come on, papa, what do you say?

Some people can be content
playing bingo and paying rent.
That's peachy for some people,
for some hum-drum people to be,
but some people ain't me!

I had a dream,
a wonderful dream, papa,
all about June in the Orpheum circuit.
Gimme a chance and I know I can work it.

I had a dream.
Just as real as can be, papa.
There I was in Mr. Orpheum's office
and he was saying to me, "Rose,
get yourselves some new orchestrations,
new routines and red velvet curtains.
Get a feathered hat for the baby;
photographs in front of the theatre.
Get an agent and in jig time
you'll be being booked in the big time."

Oh, what a dream.
A wonderful dream, papa.
And all that I need is eighty-eight bucks, papa.
That's what he said, papa.
Only eighty-eight bucks.

Papa
You ain't gettin' eighty-eight cents from me, Rose.

Rose
Well, I'll get it someplace else! But I'll get it! And get my kids out!

Goodbye to blueberry pie.
Good riddance to all the socials I had to go to,
all the lodges I had to play,
all the shriners I said hello to.
Hey, L.A., I'm comin' your way!

Some people sit on their butts;
got the dream, yeah, but not the guts.
That's living for some people,
for some hum-drum people I suppose.
Well, they can stay and rot!
But not Rose!

Thank you/MirdieMird

Hi Tracy! I was just wondering where you have been as of late. Then POOF. :) Nice too see you back at Roseland!

and your comments of Epic/Hilarious proportions. LOL

DreamerKind said...

@Smitts

If you happen to see this, know that I do not ignore your questions, but also that I can be a trifle slow and many times clueless. No doubt about it.

Eventually, I answer them, after you have left, and let them drift out into the heavens....where I'm sure you get them!

DreamerKind said...

@30
I don't believe my eyes, getting ready for work or sleepless?

DreamerKind said...

@katy
Thanks so much for the Madeira wine information! Best wishes for a good weekend, too.

ROSELANDERS...Happy Saturday!!! FYI..I was just watching the Food Channel.. Chef Ann Burrell says "dried OREGANO". Is worthless and should NEVER be used...It MUST be FRESH...nothing else will do.heh ( I'm not sure if I agree with the the Fresh part either. She was making spaghetti and meat balls and served clam in the shell to go with it. That "might" explain why you have to serve the "clam". Just saying

SueBee said...

Happy Saturday.

Still have an IHOP hangover--stuffed french toast-possibly one of the yummiest things on the planet! Still can't believe I ate the whole thing and then some. I'll be in a carb coma for days but it was soooooo worth it!

Om nom nom nom nom!

It's you I like
It's not the things you wear

It's not the way you do your hair
But it's you I like

The way you are right now
The way down deep inside you

Not the things that hide you
Not your fancy chair

That's just beside you
It's you, I like

For Smitty & Gruff:

Night And Day

Fred & Ginger-talk/sing/dance-1934
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34FHYl9NHVw

Like the beat, beat, beat of the tom tom
When the jungle shadows fall

Like the tick, tick, tock of the stately clock
As it stands against the wall

Like the drip, drip drip of the rain drops
When the summer showers through
A voice within me keeps repeating
You, you, you

Night and day you are the one
Only you beneath the moon or under the sun

Whether near to me or far
It's no matter darling where you are
I think of you
Day and night

Night and day
Why is it so
That this longing for you
Follows whereever I go

In the roaring traffics boom
In the silence of my lonely room
I think of you
Night and day

Day and night
Under the hide of me

There's an, oh such a hungry yearning burning inside of me
And this torment wont be through

Till you let me spend my life Making love to you
Day and night, night and day

(Cole Porter-words/music)

Thank you/turinethefool

Good evening dear Roselanders!

DK~R u still here?

DreamerKind said...

*IB*
Yes, I'm here, and been thinking about you. All is well?

*I*Believe* said...

@DK~Yes, all is well. I was actually up in the middle of the night last night...around 3 AM, eastcoast time, couldn't sleeep...hopped on to say hi and I couldn't find you night owls:(

DreamerKind said...

*IB*
That's right, we didn't hook up on here until around 330am. Bren was out, Gwen hides on us, Birdie comes on later, and I was wildly busy.

What are your plans for the weekend? Family stuff?

DreamerKind said...

IB
330am Central time, that was.

*I*Believe* said...

Shout out to my friend and state-mate Annie! How are you?

*I*Believe* said...

So sorry I missed you guys. Today is cleaning day and I finally FINISHED painting living room~ yeah! Tomorrow, cheer competition with daw...Monday off of school!!!

What's drink of choice this evening? Anything yummy?

Very quiet around here.

DreamerKind said...

*IB*
Congrats on finishing the painting.

Cheerleading is so athletic these days, so much more than when I tried out and pulled a groin muscle while attempting the splits! Didn't make the team, surprised? Man, could hardly walk for a week....gah.

Every year I remember MLK and then also thank him for the new day off, that's back when I needed them.

I have Bailey's, vodka, gin, limoncello (that's it for me I think, good for colds, right?)

What's your flavor?

DreamerKind said...

*IB*
To fill in the quiet, I'm watching/listening/fake dancing along with Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers. Sure lifts up the spirits and revs the body.

*I*Believe* said...

DK~I am enjoying Bluemoons...my beverage of choice even in the cold. Can you believe we are getting more snow? An Alberta Clipper is suppose to dump 3 inches on us and there is another storm brewing that may hit Tuesday night...gobal warming????

My daw is 9 yrs. old. She can backhand spring, tuck and is an amazing tumbler. Can you believe that some people say cheerleading is not a sport....that is just milarkey! BTW...she does a jump and lands in a split...ouch!

jentoo said...

Hey Yall!

How's everything going? Well, I hope:)

DreamerKind said...

*IB*

Love Bluemoons, too. Actually, I have one in the fridge. I'll get it and have one with you!

That was the combo, jump & splits that killed me and I was 15.

More snow? And we have had so little here this year. Don't hit me but I miss it. There might be 1inch on the ground.

Thinking about taking tap dancing up again, crazy ain't I? Fred & Ginger are like drugs to me, my own personal brand of heroin. Tee, hee.

Did you cheer, dance or the like, ever?
