Rob and Kristen- You Showed Us!

Twirling.
Twirling.
Twirling the night away!

It never gets old.
It's always fun.

And it's so much better than being stuck in
a foam pit...
Flailing
Trying to get out
Being too embarrassed to admit how
wrong they are...

It's ALL business! It was staged! It wasn't REAL!!! PR! PR! PR! PR!

Would kinda suck to be out on the battlefield...
Alone
Wielding your foam sword
Charging and Growling at nothing
Fighting a war that no one else is in...
Can you have a war if nobody shows up?
Because as far as I can see...
This bitch is OVER.
Done.
There is no more #Winning
This
Shit
Is
#WON

HELP! I CAN'T STOP!
Frenzied Foamers.
Does it get any better?

I love when Rob pulls his fingers through his hair...

Back to the good stuff.
The best stuff.
The right stuff.

Robert Pattinson.
WFE
This Friday.
I cannot wait to see this movie.
Yeah, Yeah... I know...
I've said it before.
But.
It's good to focus on Robert.
How brilliantly gorgeous he is...
How gorgeously brilliant.

And speaking of the right stuff...

Seriously... she's sitting on his damn lap.

I'm still loving this picture.
I honestly don't think I've seen Rob and Kristen more happy.
The smiles on their faces...

How Rob and Kristen held hands...
Even when the photographers were there.
How Rob went in for the kiss...
How happy they look.

Is this a new beginning?
Is hand-holding and quick kisses going
to become normal behavior from now on?

Is London Calling?
And why is it so loud?

Did anyone see this man??

Tom Sturridge.
Where for art thou, Young Thomas?
Did you in fact fly to NYC
to be with your best friend?
People were all over the place saying you were there...
But not any pictures that I've seen.
Of course...
There were barely any pictures of Kristen
So I suppose you could have been 'lurking'.
Somewhere.
Out there.

I miss your face, Tom...
Even with Sienna is better than nothing.
Stop hiding!

You Say It Best...

It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart
Without saying a word, you can light up the dark
Try as I may I could never explain
What I hear when you don't say a thing

The smile on your face lets me know that you need me
There's a truth in your eyes saying you'll never leave me
A touch of your hand says you'll catch me if ever I fall
You say it best when you say nothing at all

All day long I can hear people talking out loud

But when you hold me near, you drown out the crowd
Oh Mr. Webster you could never define
What's being said between your heart and mine

When You Say Nothing At All.

And that says it all...
Doesn't it?

Exactly.

This post is brought to you by the letter *L*
L for LOOK
It's so clearly obvious how much
Robert loves Kristen every time he looks at her.

L for Laughter
I haven't stopped laughing since Sunday Night.
I mean... seriously laughing.
My stomach hurts.
I'm pretty sure I did indeed laugh my ass off.
It's gone.
But it's good.

It makes me happy to see
Rob and Kristen happy.
Sweet.
Simple.

L for Love

I Love Bart.
Just Because.

Bye For Now

For you Midwestern gals I've always enjoyed Steak n Shake as well.

Well now you know what to do when you get home, first stop is In n'out double-double animal style.

Gotta have it with an extra large giant ass Dr. Pepper though!! YUM!

PL~I have ther perfect thing!

Make Rice Crispy Treats by following the recipe. Instead of putting them into a pan to cool form them into egg shapes but flatten off the top. You can also flatten off the bottom if you want what will be a Rice Crispy basket to stand up.

Once your "baskets" are formed you have a couple of choices. You can tint vanilla frosting green or you can use brown frosting. Frost the top of the "basket" and sprinkle with the flower shaped colorful jimmies/sprinkely thingys. If you want to get daring, I am sure you could figure out some kind of handle like a licorice lace or something.

Sydney,

Steak n Shake is good. Their shakes are better than the burgers though.

Thanks, my dog Jedi is the sweetest, she is all about giving hugs.

I recently got a kitty, which is odd cuz i've never been around a cat ever in my life but he is cool as hell and acts just like a puppy and actually plays fetch better than any dog I have ever owned.

Anonymous said...

Groovie--noooo the chocolate shake.

Okay--be careful with animal style because they cook the burger in the mustard so you gotta like mustard to like it. I don't want you to not like it and be cursing me--hahaha.

Fio, Just have to join in here on the discussion of the south of Italy. The south is my favorite - best food, friendly people and my favorite place on earth - the Amalfi Coast and Positano. Don't get me wrong I love all of Italy but Positano is so romantic and charming. Would love it if you shared some recipes.

Loved Rose's post yesterday especially the "that girl" part. Grr, what is with these crazies? Why do we even have to hear their insane rantings? Why do they think they have the right to have opinions on someone's private relationship? Why are they so delusional?

I'm still feeling warm and fuzzy from Sunday's excitement. Rob was his usual charming, handsome self, Kristen looked gorgeous and the movie looks amazing! Can't wait to see it.

Smitty -- I know what you are saying about timing for the Oscar's but there's always the Silence of the Lambs as the proof point that if its really good people remember. It was released 0on February 14 of 1991 -- great Valentine's Day date movie LOL -- and I remember the reviews at the time were all saying that it was a shame that it was so early in the year because both Anthony Hopkins and Jodie Foster gave Oscar worthy performances. Thirteen months later it swept the Oscars. Would love to see another exception to the rule next year.

MySoCalledLife said...

Hi Everyone! So many comments tonight. What are these cookies and where can I get some?!

LMAO at the Italian phase, Smitty! Italians are so pervy (I'm allowed to say this growing up with 6 boy cousins in Italy). Their first words were curse words.

Fio - I had no idea things in Naples were that bad. I've noticed a lot of foreigners in Calabria the past few visits there. They sell trinkets on the beach and all sleep 20 in a van parked on the side of the road. Crazy.

To answer your question from before - yes, I've been to Rome. Several times actually. The last time I was there was when the Pope died. We didn't plan it, but happened to leave the day he passed. We stayed in Vatican City and it was like nothing I've ever seen before. Thousands upon thousands of pilgrims from every country in the world, camped on every spot of green space in the Vatican. They stayed up lighting candles and signing songs - it was an amazing experience. The only problem was I hadn't told my family in Italy I was in the country because I wanted to do the 'tourist' thing and was so paranoid I would show up on RAI television or something. There were so many cameras everywhere. This must be what Rob & Kristen feel like on a daily basis! LOL!

Anyway, all your comments are making me hungry. I'm going to get a snack!

SueBee said...

Groovie said...

I agree with that.

There are so many films and performances that are award worthy that don't get recognition and others that do that sometimes may be viewed as not worthy.

A lot of it is political in nature I feel.

But Rob has a lot of talent, I think he and Kristen both are unfairly judged because of some peoples views on Twilight, but the peformances speak for themselves and they will both get there one day.

No need to throw it at him and be like, so dude are you going to get an oscar for this?
That is kind of a humiliating question to ask anyways!

I said I wanted a #2 (chicken delux) with cheese and lettuce only.
And she was like "okay, so you want just the bun and lettuce and cheese and a large dr.pepper"

Smitty -- I was actually thinking cinematography, art direction, and costume design -- from what we've seen so far the period detail and pallettte is gorgeous while still evoking the threadbare Depression era. Agree on the too soon part for Rob -- THe Academy like to see dues paid. But based on the choices he is making material-wise I think he could very well follow the trajectory of Leonardo DiCaprio, who didn't allow himself to get trapped in the Titantic hearthrob pigeonhole, and chose roles based on the challenge instead of the boxoffice potential.

Hi Fio. My hubby and I visited Italy right after we were married. We travelled all over the country for two weeks. His cousin was working in Como - rough right!? When we were in Rome, we had the opportunity to have "an audience with the Pope". We went to St. peter's with 10000 other people....he passed right by me and I touched his robe. He was amazing as he spoke in lime 10 different languages. My husband turned to me and said, " you have just been with the most famous man on earth" He was so impressive and it was a great experience. This was in the90's. I love Italy...especially Venice, I have to say....

Fio - I still feel guilty about not telling them I was in Italy. They would have driven the 8 hours north to come see me and I don't think they would have been able to get to us. From what I remember, Rome was essentially shut down during that time.

Sydney - it was an amazing experience. We were so naive, when we first arrived there, we thought we could just hop over to St. Peters to see the Pope.

We joined the crowd of people and after about 2 hours of moving maybe 5 yards, we gave up and went to a bar for gelato.

DK - thanks for posting the cookie recipe.

So many comments tonight - I can't keep up!

Anyone ever try bacon and chocolate? I know -- sounds horrible. And yet it's not.

Rhonda said...

IB- I love ice cream but I'll pass on the bacon..lol..that's just not right ;)

Fiorels said...

sj- i must say you are a lucky lady..
i've been here my whole life and didn't get the chance to see him near.. and feel very sorry about it :(

Just realized I said "my whole life" as if I was 78 LOL

Dottie said...

I'm sorry Groovie. I just noticed you already mentioned CFA is closed on Sun. Well, I guess we've covered that topic!

angelica1 said...

PL - McDonalds did ask me if I wanted cheese on my cheeseburger the other week

Sydney said...

Oh good, thanks you Smitty for clearing that up. I'd hate to order something for dogs and be seen eating it. Guess that makes sense - less messy and all with the lettuce.

Do you California girls like Del Taco? I remember getting burritos with fries in them. And also deep fried tacos from Jack in the Box, which now, just the thought of, makes me ill. Loved it in college though.

DreamerKind said...

@Smitty
Haven't put on any Mumford songs yet, but will. 8)

Groovie said...

Dottie-
yea but you said it was "quaint" that they were closed on sunday and I think that's cute and I never really though of it that way before but you are right!
sometimes it's nice to see a place just closed down so the employees can actually spend time with family and stuff. that is important!

Rhonda said...

Smitty- Lol, I know, I wore it out too :)

You let me know what you think of SL

SueBee said...

I love White Blank Page by Mumford and Sons.

I listen to it over and over

*I*Believe* said...

Super~I can't remember...help me....what's the name of the corn dog places in the malls that also sell lemonade? They were in all the malls in SC.

Melinda said...

IB- That doesn't sound all that good....just no.

I shouldn't be promoting the competition but I do like the fact that Chick-fil-a is closed on Sundays and they are very good with customer service. And I love their chick-n-minis!

Groovie said...

I have a $15 itunes gift card and have a list of a few random songs and then a couple albums I want to purchase.

I haven't decided between the Mumford & Sons album or Arcade Fire album.

Any help?

Birdie said...

I am just laughing here. There is no way to decipher what you are all saying. This place is schizophrenic tonight.

Dottie said...

realprpro - bacon & choc... it's probably got that savory/sweet thing going for it.

I'm having trouble keeping up tonight. I swear I've got jet lag!

Fiorels said...

MySocalledlife- it was a good choice then... after all a little "omission" is no harm if for good!

Anonymous said...

Sydney--Jack in the Box is like the poor cousin of In n Out but okay in a pinch. Del Taco is lol--okay I think of it as what to have late at night when you have been partying. They did have this cute little "hunger" character though --feed your hunger and the commercial had this little guy next to customers in line. It was cute--lol

SueBee said...

Sausage and maple syrup is pretty good...

sjjw said...

Fio, I realize that now! I've teased hubby forever, b/c we literally jogged through the Sistine Chapel to get there on time! I was an art history major in college, so I wanted to spend more time! but I realize now what a great experience it was seeing him, especially that Pope.

Rhonda said...

IB- Are you talking about Denton's??

angelica1 said...

Groovie - I'd go for Mumford & Sons

Mary said...

My mother used to give us bacon and peanut butter sandwiches instead of BLT's because we wouldn't eat the tomato and lettuce. They're actually pretty good.

Anonymous said...

Groovie--buy both--but if only one I gotta vote M&Sons. They are just full on unique and just amazeballs.

SueBee said...

Groovie

Absolutely Mumford and Sons

Fiorels said...

sj- Ditto!

MySoCalledLife said...

PrPro - what's not to love about chocolate & bacon? I'd check it out.

I didn't think I'd like chocolate covered potato chips or deep fried oreos either and those YUM!

How do you eat it though? Is the bacon dipped in chocolate? I'm intrigued...

Rhonda said...

Groovie- Mumford..definitely!

Sydney said...

MySoCalledLife: the Pope came to Denver for World Youth Day when I was like 13ish. It was amazing. Huge giant crowds and we weren't that close and I certainly didn't get to touch him but it was amazing. My Dad would tell you that's as close to God as you're ever going to get in your lifetime. The energy was indescribable.

sjjw said...

PR PRO, Bacon and chocolate? I'll take your word for it. a chef once to,d me to put pepper on strawberries. Try it, it's great!

Dottie said...

Groovie, I'd choose M&S. Did you ever check out Adele? I finally stopped obsessively listening to her new CD. Now I am on old stuff. Rolling Stones, Police, Van Morrison...

Groovie said...

okay mumford & sons it is!
Although I'll probably just buy both anyways lol but i wanted something new to listen to while i'm working tomorrow.

oh and Jack in the box has amazing Tacos!
2 for 99 cents, can't be that.

Not too sure what is in them exactly, but they are good. it's like a yummy, greasy, mystery!

Who asked earlier about an animal winning an Oscar? Here's a fun fact for you -- when the first Oscar ballots where counted back in 1927 they had to do a recount for Best Actor because the performer who won the most votes was ... a German Shepherd named Rin Tin Tin. I say Tai should start schmoozing the members of the Academy.

*I*Believe* said...

No, Rhona, the place was Denny's.

I am feeling left out we have sucky fast food places in Upstate NY. Just your boring McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King.

Birdie said...

Who saw the award show with M&Sons, Dylan and another band(2 brothers)? They were similar, but can't remember their name. Anyone know?

Melinda said...

Grovie-

M and S would get my vote. Loving the song Thistle and Weeds. Been playing it over and over.

Rhonda said...

Whoa! Can you guys hear my stomach growling? Lol!

Fiorels said...

Fiorels said...

IB- don't tell me about it haha

just Mc and Burger King...

Dottie said...

I remember Del Taco from when I lived in CA. Kind of a step above Taco Bell. And of course, Jack in the Box.

Sue sausage and maple syrup = yes! Especially if you add a pancake! Oh man! I may have to go make some pancakes and sausages soon.

Melinda said...

Birdie-

I think it was the Avrett Brothers Band. Not sure if I'm spelling it right.

Birdie said...

I hear you Rhonda. This sucks, I just got home from work, am starved and trying to eat healthy. Shit and now all I want is a big fat burger. Thanks guys!

sjjw said...

Birdie, I am on an iPad and can't type...The Avett Brothers. They were on Fallon with Kristen.

Groovie said...

Fio & Dottie-
Yes! Crazy Love is a wonderful song, it's just so simple, which is what makes it so beautiful.

My youngest sister is all about the background singers in that song, whenever it comes on my ipod and we are driving around she turns into this soulful background singer.. "love!" "love!" HAHA!

Mary said...

Believe,

We have nothing special here either. McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Taco Bell. Steak N Shake is 45 minutes away.

Fiorels -- Rinty was cool but I was more of a Lassie girl myself. But my all time favorite canine thespian was Eddie on Frasier. To hell with saving kids trapped in a well -- Eddie has 'tude!

Sjjw- Avert Brothers...awesome!

Dottie said...

Fio, I agree "Crazy Love" is a sweet song. Very soulful.

MySoCalledLife said...

IB - Amen! I'm with you. Why can't we get an In & Out burger around these parts? I'd travel far to have one.

Rhonda - Adele! I am obsessed!! She is just.... amazing!

DK - maybe some time in the next few days you could fit some Adele into the rotation? That would be wonderful :)

Fiorels said...

Groovie- LOL hahah just like me when I hear "kiss the girl" from the disney movie..
i'm all "shalalalalala... kiss the girl wow wow.." LOL

PrPro- I also am more a lassie girl also cause Rin Tin Tin was more my parents' generation.
here we have a dog in a TV series, called Turbo. He's so smart. a Border Collie.
They are the smartest dogs..

Rhonda, my hubby went to school in Nashville and loves all kinds of music. I first saw them in 2006 and have been hooked ever since. The Avetts are amazing!d

Sydney said...

Smitty - oh for sire In n Out is the best. But I lived in Mission Beach (for those familiar with SD)nd there was a Jack n the Box across from the roller coaster close to my house. And more importantly, they were open 24 hours and let you walk through the drive thru. So at 2am when the bars closed, everyone would head over there for cheap, late night food.

angelica1 said...

Dottie - I think Tupelo Honey is my favourite Van Morrison

Birdie said...

Avett Brothers! Thank you Melinda. That was a great performance, but the young bands out performed poor Bob.
