Rob and Kristen- It Really Is

Someone sent this to me...
Isn't it just about perfect?
Just about.

So Rob has been busy as hell the last few days...
Smiling and posing and being all shiny.
It seems as the press junket goes on...
The less Robert smiles.
He looks tired.
And between all the posing and interviews...
Who can blame him?

And let's talk about some of those interviews.
First the excerpt from ELLE-UK

The ambiguity that surrounds the relationship status of KStew and RPattz (are they? Aren't they? Do we care? The only thing that's certain is that neither will say one way or the other) conveniently generates a huge amount of publicity for their vampire movies. I put it to him that the whole thing is a studio fabrication. "No," he says, kindly but firmly. "Oh no. I'd love it if they tried. If studio tried to get involved with my personal life, I could start messing around with them in return... No. There's nothing nefarious going on, I just don't like people taking my picture. It's not nice when your life becomes someone else's news. Even when you're having a good time and someone takes a picture and days, "Look at them having a good time!" I feel like, it's not your good time." So he isn't working to a careful PR strategy? "People think we have people organizing everything, that it's all a publicity stunt. It's not. There is no magical entourage - you're just a person on your own. You have to figure it out."

See that?
Do you comprehend what Robert did just there?
He fucking sprayed gasoline all over the PR bullshit...
lit a match...
and fucking burned that shit to the ground.

No one is messing with his personal life.
His relationship with Kristen isn't a publicity stunt.
Summit isn't in control of Robert's life...
They aren't orchestrating anything.
Robert and Kristen are together...
Because they WANT to be together.

It seems that Rob is saying something almost everyday
that puts another nail in the Foaming coffin.
And I gotta say...
It's been incredibly enjoyable.
As always...
The REACTIONS have been beyond sanity.

Here's a classic (and predictable) response:

"Rob can say he's not participating in PR all he wants but that is not reality."
Because YOU know better than Rob.
Oh my.
Such grand delusions.
And honestly?
You wouldn't fucking know REALITY if it bit you in the ass.

Oh and to be 'fair'
There was an interview in Spain...
They ask Rob if in real life he's ever had to hide a relationship" "He answers no!!

Some might say that Rob and Kristen were supposedly hiding
their relationship... thus this means that he's not IN a relationship.
But thing is...
There's a reason I believe they are together...
And that's exactly because of what I HAVE seen.
It hasn't been hidden at all...
It's all been right there in front of you the whole time.
There's a difference between 'hiding' it and not discussing it.

Not hiding.

Not hiding.

Not hiding.

Not hiding.

Not hiding.

So you see...
There are a lot of glimpses into Rob and Kristen's relationship.
The very fact that people foam about PR every other minute
every time Rob and Kristen show up together...
Is just another example of them NOT hiding their relationship.

But hey...
You see things your way...
I see the TRUTH.

Oh and yes...
Guess what?

We get shiny suit Rob...
And more casual regular Rob.
Either way you look at it...
He's perfectly gorgeous.

And last but not least...

Kristen is confirmed to be at the Mets Gala tonight.
I wish I could share all the

The party's not over, folks.
It's not time to call it a day.

Sure... the Mets thing put a crimp into the plans...
But who knows.
Where there is a will...
there is a way.
Have you seen Robert's face lately?
I mean...
Sure...he's all pretty and stuff...
But my goodness
He is so missing his girl.

And Kristen?
I can't WAIT to see her tonight.
I'm sure whatever she wears it will be GORGEOUS...
Just like her.
And come on now...
A red eye to London isn't OUT of the question.
Will the pieces fall into place?

We shall see...

Pirate Radio was on... again.
So what did I do?
I watched it.

Just because.

This post is brought to you by Perception.

Is Perception Reality?

Or is it just 2 people who just want to be together
who just want to go out... spend time with each other
Is it just a boy...who fell in love with a girl.
And a girl who just loves him back.
Is it really just that simple?
It really is.

Bye for now.

Oh man... you know that's SO true.

Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Rose, you're just so good at expressing the TRUTH! I may just treat you to a SANDWICH to go along with that SOUP! ;)

I can't imagine how tired Rob and the rest must be by now. Especially Rob, having literally walked off a set and onto the promo tour. I hope the guy gets some down time before he begins his next project.

He and Kristen had such a long stretch of time together filming BD. I think it must make being apart that much harder when you've gotten used to always being together. Hopefully they will reunite very soon.

Can't wait to see Kristen this evening. I know she will be beautiful as always.

LOVE THIS post! =)

Groovie said...

Loving all the captions "not hiding" "not hiding" lol! Very true, they don't hide, they just don't flaunt it cuz they aren't famewhores! They don't sell it because it actually means something to them!
Rob was looking good but tired in barcelona, dude needs a good 12hrs of good sleep or something!

Excited to see Kristen tonight at the met gala, I'm sure she will rock it!

Hello to everyone! Hope u are all having a wonderful monday!

Fiorels said...

Amazing post Rose :) love every word of it!
I knew you were gonna use the elle UK quote...
and the "not hiding" part I enjoyed a lot :D

well i'm off for a nigh-session of studying..
talk to you laters :D

cant wait to see Kristen!

Kay said...

I cannot believe the crazies out there that are still desperately clinging to the PR conspiracy, despite the clear statements that Rob has made this entire promo tour.....maybe he actually needs to be one of the voices in their heads for them to finally believe? Nah, even that wouldn't do it at this point.

I am looking forward to seeing what Kristen wears tonight...I am sure she is going to look fabulous. Whether we get to see her soon after, or not, I hope they are able to have a little breathing room together very soon.

Thanks for the post, Rose....alway fun to read about the things people send you.

Have great Monday everyone out there in Roseland! <3

Penny Lane said...

In light of what happened in the world last night, all this arguing over PR or no-PR is really inconsequential. But it will continue.

I really think promoting a movie must be the most tedious, boring thing to do. I would be pulling my hair out after being asked the same questions over and over and over and over. Does no one have an original thought so as to ask something different?

Rhonda said...

Hi Rose,

You're right, it really is that simple. It's just a boy, who fell in love with a girl, who loves him right back :)

I know Rob has to be exhausted, but he's handled this press tour brilliantly!

I know it's not her thing, but I can't wait to see Kristen at the Met Gala, she always looks so stunning :)

Hi dottie, Groovie and anyone I missed :)

Rhonda said...

Hi Fio, Kay and Penny :)

Hope said...

I cannot wait to see Kristen tonight at the Met Gala...they say she is wearing Preoenza Schouler and we know Rob loves her in that designer.

Rob does look like he is missing his girl...the red eye sounds like a plan to me too, Rose.

Hi Rhonda, dottie, Penny, Kay, Fio,Groovie!!
It is a great day in America!!

Mandy said...

You're absolutely right Rose, there is a difference between hiding it and not discussing it and both of them have made it abundantly clear as to their reasoning for not discussing their private life. Clearly, they're not "hiding" it from those who truly matter, each other, their families, etc. If anyone is still clinging onto the whole PR, they're not together crap, you really are delusional. I don't know what is more clear then Rob strutting out of that theater knowing full well there are a gazillion fans waiting outside holding Kristen's hand or that playful kiss at the after-party. Not to mention all the anedotes from this European press tour. Rob cannot be more clear that their relationship is real and not motivated by PR.

Kenzz said...

Hi Rose, Loving the "Not Hiding"....I honestly can't believe ppl take the time to send you message after message re: robsten or nonsten...I mean, for real? The fact that someone actually said that it doesn't matter what Rob says blows me away...Clearly, he's been brainwashed by Summit and their mind-control experts! *eye roll*

Thanks for posting such a humorous and sane blog... the levity it adds to my day is truly my guilty pleasure! Lots of love sent your way :)

The ten day countdown is nearing the end...I predict someone has a suitcase to pack these next couple of days!

Hi Hope, Rhonda, Kay, dottie, Groovie, Suwi, PL, Fio and the rest of Roseland I've missed. <3

Safe and restful travels to Smitty & Gruff...& ((hugs)) to Syd...

Birdie said...

Hello everyone!
This was a great post. I'll bet you got a kick out of the "multiple Rob walking". Man, if people are still clinging to any delusion that these two are not together, than it is futile.
I loved the "it's that simple",too. That says it all.
I was thinking the same thing. Don't journalists read or listen to other interviews? Most of the questions are so boring. I'd be tempted to start giving goofy answers after the 10th time. You can definitely see why the promotion is "work".
I can not wait to see Kristen tonight. Sitting at a table with a bunch of people you may not know(or care to) and having to get all dressed up may be a pain, but we do enjoy the pretty! We do appreciate the work you do Kristen!

angelica1 said...

I don't think Rob is the one who has a problem with reality.I'm still mystified as to why you would claim to be a "fan" of someone you evidently consider to be a liar.Very strange!

I'm sure Kristen is going to look stunning,as always, tonight. I hope they're able to meet up soon, Rob looks in need of a big hug and I'm sure she's missing her guy by now too :)

LJ said...

I hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Can't wait to see pics of Kristen at the Met Gala....I actually have no idea what the Met Gala is but I'm sure she will look gorgeous!

Hopefully she will get to see Rob soon, she must be missing him like crazy :)

Wishing you much love, with hope for a peaceful future for us all.

Angelica- I like the new avi. Is this the youngest one?

angelica1 said...

Hi Rhonda - Yes,she is :)

Freddie said...

Hi Guys,

I hope everyone is well.

I interpreted Rob's answer to the hiding relationship question the same way you and others have Rose - that hiding is different from keeping things private. And they certainly haven't tried to hide it, as is evident from the pictures you posted.

It sounds like Kristen has an exciting evening ahead of her. I hope she has as good a time as is possible and yes, she will no doubt look incredibly beautiful.

Kenzz - I hope you are right about the 10 days thing.....

Take care everyone.

Hello... Welcome to the
Psychiatric Hotline...

If you are obsessive-compulsive, please press 1 repeatedly.

If you are co-dependent, please ask someone to press 2.

If you have multiple personalities, please press 3, 4, 5, and 6.

If you are paranoid-delusional, we know who you are and what you
want. Just stay on the line so we can trace the call.

If you are schizophrenic, listen carefully and a little voice
will tell you which number to press.

If you are manic-depressive, it doesn't matter which number you
press. No one will answer.

If you are anal-retentive, please hold.

If you are anxious, just start pressing numbers at random.

If you are phobic, don't press anything.

Now can you hold on please?

Melinda said...

Great post Rose! You always tell it like it is. No BS tolerated!

Love the light colored suit. Kinda reminds me of the "Details" shoot.

I'm sure this press tour is grueling for all the cast. They're really pushing the promotion. They should, it's an excellent movie. I will be seeing it again tomorrow night!

Can't wait to see what Kristen wears tonight. She always pulls it off no matter what she is wearing.

Hope they both get some time to just decompress soon.

Also I think Tom's play is wrapping up. Thought I read that somewhere. Hope they had a successful run!

Home run dear Rose.

Love the 5 Robs walking!

The promo tour is grueling. Nice that it is finally winding down and that Rob will be home for a few days. Wish him quality time with all the most important people in his life.

Wishing Kristen a wonderful time at the Met Gala. This is an important work commitment for her. Hope she is very happy with the dress selection available to her for the evening.

Dottie, thank you for the link ( on the last posting) to the twitpic of the manip of Rob and his reaction to B & E's fascinators. I almost spilled my tea on my keyboard, it was so very "highlarious".

Remember y'all, Tom's WFF will be available tomorrow to rent or purchase.

Will peek back in later this evening after seeing a pic of Kristen at the Met.

Hugs for y'all.
Smitty and Gruff, hugs and wishes for peace, calm and happiness.

Fuck, that was suppose too say; I do feel a bit feisty tonight.

Who was it "I" or Super who does Cheer with there daughter? Well GUESS WHAT? My daughter is insisting on trying out for the school cheer team for next year.

She will be in "Middle School" first year, so yeah lots of fun ahead.:) I will let you know if she makes the team.

Perfectly stated, as always.

As far as Kristen going to London, all I am going to say is it is their relationship and their choice. They will do what is right for them.

I believe in Rob and Kristen's relationship and have always believed, thus my name.

I have said it before and will say it again....nonnies~SUCK IT HARD! Your refusal to see the truth only proves how delusional you all are....bwaaahaaahaaaa....I am twirling with Rose!!

Hi, Rose! Excellent post

With this stamment "Rob can say he's not participating in PR all he wants but that is not reality."
what this delusional IDIOT is doing is basically calling Rob a liar. Miss Trust(I'm full of bulshit) needs to stop living in her fantasie world of Pr estrategies and Exit extrategies and needs to start living in reality.

'He fucking sprayed gasoline all over the PR bullshit...
lit a match...
and fucking burned that shit to the ground.

Rob was looking gorgeous in Barcelona but yes, his starting to look tired...and he does look like is missing his girl. Hopefully they will be together very soon and will get some free time until Rob start shooting Cosmopolis.

Can't wait to see what Kristen will wear at the Met Gala. I am sure she will be looking gorgeous as always.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful daY.

Hi to all in Roseland!

Here, here Rose, great post once again! I love that Rob has pretty much address any grey area people perceived that existed - I never saw grey, pretty much straight forward to me as you so brilliantly portrayed in pics - yeahee to RobSten! :-)

I am still holding out for Kristen to make London - where there is a will, there is a way!!
And if not, there is always Oz also....

I am really looking forward to seeing what she is wearing to the MET Gala.

I was also watching Tom Sturridge this weekend on DVD, in Pirate Radio, although over here its The Boat that Rocked.... Love that film and the soundtrack!

Great post Rose, you always know exactly what to say. Rob has to be exhausted with all he has done lately...I think the studios expect too much of these actors. I too miss Kristen, and wish she was with Rob, and who knows maybe she will be after tonight. I really wish all these foamers would leave Rob and Kris, alone and let them live their lives in peace. Take care dear Rose and all Roselanders, I hope you are having a good Monday.

Hi Kenzz and Freddie,

I agree, the shoes and the matching bracelets compliment the dress very well. Hope Kristen has a great time.

(It is finally starting to raini lightly here tonight. Thank goodness. We desperately need a long, soaking rain. I will keep my fingers crossed.)

Freddie said...

Rhonda - I'm good, thanks. Wishing it was Friday vs. Monday but then again my mother always said not to wish your life away....

Kenzz said...

Freddie..doing great...just waiting for daw's play rehearsal to be over so I can pick her up...fortunately, she's only about 10 min down the road...How are things with you?

olivia said...

Thanks Rhonda. Can't believe it is May already. Last month of school. Seems like we just started. This is the most busy time of the year. All sorts of state and national testing for the students. Bless their hearts. They are so very busy.

Freddie said...

Kenzz - all is good on the northern front, thanks. What type of play is your daughter in? It sounds fun. Participating in plays/musicals was a great experience for me in school.

Kenzz said...

Freddie, me too, although I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket! Fortunately, we had a lot of dramatic shows in high school, so I was cast!

My daw's HS is doing a rather dark musical about fairy tale creatures (I know, right????)

Freddie said...

Olivia - good observation about the shoes and bracelets. They do go well with the dress. I suppose Fred Leighton (for the jewellery) should know....

I share your surprise at the fact that is it May already. The year is just whipping by.

Freddie said...

Kenzz - LOL. Was your daughter interested in Twilight? Does she share any interests with you on that front?

30 said...

One question what exactly is the Met gala? Like what do the stars do there? Party the night away?

Freddie said...

30 - good question. I have no idea. The only things I heard was that it is like the Oscars for the fashion world, and that Florence and the Machine were entertaining tonight. That's all I know.

olivia said...

Kenzz, I agree, participating in all facets of plays is a wonderful activity for young people.

Freddie, I have dear friends who live up north who attend the Shaw Festival every summer and also spend a few days in London, Ontario in order to do the plays at the theaters there. I myself, fondly remember crossing the Blue Water Bridge during several high school trips to Ontario to see the Shakespeare Festival plays.

olivia said...

Just to hear Florence in person, in such a beautiful venue with dinner served no less, would be worth the whole evening for me!

Rhonda said...

30- I don't know a lot about it, but I know it was started when the Costume Institute was founded at the Met. Art meets fashion, I guess, and it's a huge fund-raising event :)

dottie said...

Kristen was definitely the belle of the ball tonight! Perfect hair, make up, dress, shoes.... Not to mention, the girl just keeps getting more and more beautiful!

30 said...

Thanks girls for the info I assume if Kristen went it is a good cause she always picks the best. :)

Freddie said...

Olivia - yes they have some really good stuff at the Shaw Festival and also at Stratford Festival. Last year I think they had a one man show by Christopher Plummer that was wonderful, amongst others. Between both the Shaw and Stratford, and the shows that play in downtown Toronto, we're very lucky to have such great theatre close at hand.

Kenzz said...

Running out to perform my "taxiing" duties again!! Hope everyone has a great night...

Good nite Freddie, 30, dottie, Rhonda, & Olivia (I think everybody else has retired for the evening, or have yet to begin!)

Freddie said...

Good night Kenzz - have a good one.

Melinda said...

From starlet to star:

Kristen was flawless! In a sea of prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses, wacky dresses and plain old boring dresses she stood out.

Might I add she looked happier and more comfortable than I have seen her at such events. Something's working. Must be happy with life. ;)

This song has been playing in my head all day.

Love the words! It's a happy song.

olivia said...

Have a lovely evening Kenzz.

I would like to see Kristen's dress shortened up to the very short length she likes to wear and worn with some of the black platform heels she has done in the past. I think with the cut away sides and the killer back, the short version would be a special Kristen signature piece.

olivia said...

Wow Melinda, great side by side comparison of the two dresses, different but similar.

Loved the song. So very happy and positive! It is a new group for me. Will look for more of their music.

Have a good night everyone! I'm off to read. Have started the sequel to The Pillars of the Earth, another super long one called World Without End which takes up 200 years later.

Freddie said...

Olivia - have a nice evening.

Melinda - hope you are doing well. Like Olivia said, that picture was a neat juxtapositioning of the two dresses. Kristen looked great in both of them. And the song was perfect. I hadn't heard of it either (but then I'm not totally up on music these days). I can see how it would stay in your head. It has a good chorus.

Birdie said...

Kristen looks beautiful and yes she looks like a woman, not a girl. I love the simplicity of what she is wearing. The back is very cool. She doesn't need alot of frou frou to distract from her beauty. The shoes are amazing although I bet her feet will be killing her. I love that the Proenza Schouler boys are with her. I got the impression from the Vogue article that they "get" Kristen.
I hope her next destination is a joyful one.
Have a good evening ladies!

Melinda said...

Glad you liked the song. It's so true. Life really is good.

I wish I could take credit for the side by side pictures. I have no idea how to do that stuff.

I thought it was a good comparison to where she was (less comfortable in the spotlight) to where she is now (more confident). She really seems to be in a good place. Makes me happy for her as a fan.

Freddie- I'm doing much better. Thanks for asking. I hope you are doing well.

Reading sounds like a wonderful plan so off I go.

Penny Lane said...

Olivia and Freddie,

Saw you were talking about plays and I remembered going to Stratford in High School. I saw Hamlet and Macbeth. And then quite a few years later I saw Phantom in the theater built for it in Toronto. Thanks for bringing those memories back.

I really like One Republic. My husband won't listen to anything older than late 70's if he can help it so we battle with the car radio all the time. I don't know how you can stay stuck on the same old stuff.

Good night everyone.

Good morning. Wanted to say Kristen was stunning last night and I loved that she changed to her own clothes for the after party.

I hope that Rob gets some down time after all of the premiers. Just thinking about all he's had to do lately makes me exhausted. I don't know how he does it.

For Rob & Kristen:

I'm On My Way

The Proclaimers:

I'm on my way from misery to happiness today
I'm on my way to what I want from this world
And years from now you'll make it to the next world
And everything that you receive up yonder
Is what you gave to me the day I wandered

I took a right, I took a right turning yesterday
Yeah I took a right, I took a right turning yesterday
I took the road that brought me to your home town
I took the bus to streets that I could walk down

I walked the streets to find the one I'd looked for
I climbed the stair that led me to your front door
And now that I don't want for anything
I'd have Al Jolson sing "I'm sitting on top of the world"

I'll do my best, I'll do my best to do the best I can
To keep my feet from jumping from the ground dear
To keep my heart from jumping through my mouth dear

To keep the past, the past and not the present
To try and learn when you teach me a lesson

I'm on my way from misery to happiness today
Yeah I'm on my way from misery to happiness today

I'm on my way to what I want from this world
And years from now you'll make it to the next world
And everything that you receive up yonder
Is what you gave to me the day I wandered

I'm on my way to what I want from this world
And years from now you'll make it to the next world

And everything that you receive up yonder
Is what you gave to me the day I wandered

I'm on my way

Hold You In My Arms

Ray LaMontagne:

When you came to me with your bad dreams and your fears
It was easy to see you'd been crying

Seems like everywhere you turn Catastrophe reigns
But who really profits from the dying

I could hold you in my arms
I could hold you forever

When you kissed my lips
With my mouth so full of questions
My worried mind that you quiet

Place your hands on my face
Close my eyes and say
That love is a poor man's food
Don't prophesize

I could hold you in my arms
I could hold you forever

So now we see how it is
This fist begets the spear
Weapons of war
Symptoms of madness

Don't let your eyes refuse to see
Don't let your ears refuse to hear
Or you ain't never going to shake this sense of sadness

I could hold you in my arms
I could hold on forever
And I could hold you in my arms
I could hold on forever

Thank you/skinnythin

Shall We Be Grateful

Carpark North:

(Everybody run till the break of dawn)

Shall we be grateful
Shall we be true
These were the questions
That I gave to you

I feel empowered
With you by my side
But still I feel questions
Burning down inside

I want you
Everybody run till the break of dawn
Everybody run till the early morn'
Everybody wanna move and get it on
I want you

Everybody go for an easy start
Everybody wanna go and fall apart
I want you
Will you help me now

Now faster and stronger
We move through the night
We don't look back now
We move into the light

We should be grateful
We should be true
This is the moment
That we break on through

I want you
Everybody run till the break of dawn
Everybody run till the early morn'
Everybody wanna move and get it on
I want you

Everybody go for an easy start
Everybody wanna go and fall apart
I want you
Will you help me now

DK - you're on early tonight! It's nice to see you.

Hi Super & Freddie!

I just wanted to pop-in and say hello. I'm catching up on all the goodness from today's WFE premier in London and Kristen's Met Gala appearance.

She seriously was STUNNING! Something about her air - she has grown up so much. I feel strangely proud, like a mamma-bear.

Above all, she looked happy. And that makes me happy.

I'm cracking into a bottle of wine myself tonight. Cheers to all ;)

For Tai (Rosie the Elephant)

When I See An Elephant Fly

Charlie Spivak & His Orchestra~1941w/June Hutton

I saw a peanut stand
Heard a rubber band
I saw a needle
That winked its eye

But I think I will
Have seen everything
When I see an elephant fly

I saw a front porch swing
Heard a diamond ring
I saw a polka-dot railroad tie.

But I think I will
Have seen everything
When I see an elephant fly

I've seen a clothes horse
He r'ar up and buck
And they tell me that a man
Made a vegetable truck

I didn't see that
I only heard
But just to be sociable
I'll take your word

I saw lantern slide
Saw an old cow hide
I laughed till I thought I'd die

I even heard a chocolate drop
I went into a store
And saw a bicycle shop

You can't deny
The things that you see
But I know for certain
It just can't be

The other day by chance
Saw an old barn dance
So I'm a gullible sort of a guy

I heard a fireside chat
I saw a baseball bat
And I just laughed till I thought I'd die

I'm a gullible guy
But I'd call it a lie
If I ever see an elephant fly

Thank you/MrRJDB1969

Good morning dear Rose and Roseland,

Have a beautiful Wednesday y'all.

Two quick comments:

Finally saw a good pic of the back of Kristen's shoes at the Met Gala........amazing choice...they had the same diamond cutout pattern as the dress fabric. Very impressed. Also, loved how she changed into her comfy wear for the after party hour.

Just peeked at the vid of The Lorraine Show where she interviews Rob. The interview is lovely and watch Rob's face closely at the very end when she tells him "Thank you so much, love." He has the most beautiful, genuine, sweet, precious smile. Her compliments to her co-host were so very lovely.....she would like to adopt Rob.... : )
What a nice show and host!

Hugs for y'all !

And I breathe your air
You only can rescue me
This is my prayer

If you were mine
If you were mine
I wouldn't want to go to heaven

I cherish the day
I won't go astray
I won't be afraid

You won't catch me running
You're ruling the way that I move
You take my air

You show me how deep love can be
You're ruling the way that I move
And I breathe your air

You only can rescue me
This is my prayer

I cherish the day
I won't go astray
I won't be afraid
You won't catch me running

You show me how deep love can be
This is my prayer

I cherish the day

Won't run away

Michael Buble:

Another summer day
has come and gone away
In Paris or Rome...
but I wanna go home

Home may be surrounded by
a million people
I still feel all alone
Just wanna go home
I miss you, you know

And I've been keeping all the letters
That I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
I'm fine baby, how are you?

I would send them but I know that it's just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another aeroplane, another sunny place,
I'm lucky I know
But I wanna go home
I got to go home

Let me go home

I'm just too far from where you are
I wanna come home

And I feel just like I'm living
someone else's life
It's like I just stepped outside
when everything was going right

And I know just why you could not come along with me
This was not your dream
but you always believed in me...

Let me go home
I've had my run
Baby I'm done
I gotta go home

Let me go home
it'll all be alright
I'll be home tonight
I'm coming back home

Thank you/utubelyrics102

Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity

Somethings take so long
And how do I explain?
Not too many people
See we're all the same

And because of all the tears
Our eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds us
Isn't it a pity

Isn't it a pity
Isn't it a shame
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other pain

How we take each other's love

Life Is Bittersweet But Delicious

Bittersweet Symphony

The Verve (Glastonbury 2008-8:11 mins):

Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony that's life...
Try to make ends meet, you're a slave to the money then you die.

I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down...
You know the one that takes you to the places where all the things meet, yeah.

No change, I can change, I can change, I can change,
But I'm here in my mould, I am here in my mould.

But I'm a million different people from one day to the next...
I can't change my mould, no,no,no,no,no,no,no

Well I've never prayed,
But tonight I'm on my knees, yeah.
I need to hear some sounds that recognise the pain in me, yeah.

I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now.
But the airwaves are clean and there's nobody singing to me now.

No change, I can change, I can change, I can change,
but I'm here in my mould, I am here in my mould.

And I'm a million different people from one day to the next
I can't change my mould, no,no,no,no,no,no,no

Have you ever been down?
I can change, I can change...

I can't change my mould, no,no,no,no,no,no,no

We've got ya sex and violence melody and silence
(Have you ever been down)
(I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down)

Yes, it is bittersweet, but a rite of passage. Mothers to daughters, fathers to sons, so it goes.

I made it. My daughter will make it. We all do.

Love, our backbone, guides us, through the mists and fog into the light.

Lucky you! Have great fun in Vegas and I'll wave the wand for big winnings to flow your way.

Caresses and hugs to you, too.

John Mayer & Robbie McIntosh:

I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world

But she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls are continually changed

And I've done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands

Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it's got nothing to do with me

Fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do

Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too

Oh, you see that skin?
It's the same she's been standing in

Since the day she saw him walking away
Now I'm left
Cleaning up the mess he made

So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do

Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too

Boys, you can break
You'll find out how much they can take

Boys will be strong
And boys soldier on
But boys would be gone without the warmth from
A womans good, good heart

On behalf of every man
Looking out for every girl

You are the guide and the weight of her world

So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do

Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too

My son said tonight, that I'd probably tell everyone on Roseland, how they were slaughtered by the other softball team during their first game today.

Since he mentioned it, I will. Truly, I thought it was a respectable showing, with a final score of 23-12.

The surprising part is his commenting about me commenting, (hadn't given it a thought then) on Roseland about him.

Progress has been made on that front, hasn't it? Both of my children used to give me quite the hard time about being on here, with you all.

Guess the ole Ma ain't such a kook after all? Well, you decide!

Vote yes or no, and we'll have a laugh about the results. Will they be 10,000 to 0, pro or con?

And, after me, vote for Kristen & Rob for Best of Everything Wonderful and Fine!

Earlier, I confessed to a little bit of cheatin' and lyin', I think I did, yes. Well, I forgot to confess to stealin', sorry, it's true.

I have snapped up (stolen) these two wonderful recipes from the Robsten Angels web site. Blame it on midnight...blame it on the moon!

Meadow-Girl’s Fresh Lemonade

(from The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook) Makes 1 ½ quarts.

1 Cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 to 3/4 cup superfine sugar, to taste (I use 1/2 cup)
1 cup crushed ice
4 cups water

Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Serve over more ice. Very delicious and refreshing. If you don’t have superfine sugar, you can use regular granulated sugar. I’ve been making this for years, it goes fast.

(See my next post for her Oven Fried Chicken recipe)

Re: Cheatin, lyin, stealin, in a sincere way, for the best of reasons:

Ah, ha, I feel good, da, da, da, da
I knew that I would, da, da, da, da!

DreamerKind said...

From Robsten Angels Web Site:

1. Get a whole Free-range Chicken from your grocery or butcher. Have the butcher cut it up into pieces for you. 2 Legs, 2 Wings, 2 Breasts, 2 Thighs. I do not use the backs.

2. You will need liquid Canola Oil, Vegetable or Peanut Oil. I usually use Canola Oil or Peanut Oil if I have it. Peanut Oil makes really good fried chicken. I do not use Olive oil for his recipe.

3. Get a large sheet pan. I got mine from a restaurant supply store. If you have a large baking dish, that will work too.

4. Other ingredients: milk, and 1 box Krusteaz Bake and Fry Coating Mix (available in the flour aisle of the grocery store)>

5. Cover the bottom of the entire sheet pan with the Oil. Just enough so the whole sheet is covered. You do not need a ton of oil.

6. Rinse your cut-up free range chicken. Pat dry with paper towels.

7. Place chicken in a large bowl and pour milk over the chicken. In a separate bowl or in a ziplock bag, empy the box of Krusteaz.

Actually you may not need to use the whole box. You could try ½ of ¾ of the box if you want to save it for later.

8. Take one piece of chicken at a time, remove from the milk. Drudge in the baking mix or place in ziplock bag and shake well.

Place on sheet pan. Place in oven, at 350-375 degrees. My oven runs a bit hot, so I usually bake at 350 degrees.

Bake for 30 minutes, then carefully turn and bake for another 20-30 minutes. Remove from oven and transfer to a plate.

9. Tip: Be very careful when turning the chicken. The skin and coating will try and come off.

10. Everyone I have made this chicken for, loves it! It is not spicy or hot…but seasoned deliciously!

11. Krusteaz may not be available in all areas. Do NOT substitute Shake-N-Bake or anything else. You may be able to order Krusteaz online.

12. I hope you like it! I would love to hear reviews.

(Half sheet pan)
(Krusteaz Bake and Fry Coating Mix)

Believe it or not, I have Krusteaz in my pantry, at this very moment, but alas, no chicken. I'm supposed to be going to sleep soon, which is only a supposed to. And, I am hungry, so what now?

Lookie, lookie! Another recipe from RA (Robsten Angels) but I don't know who posted it.

Thanks to all you RA's from DK!

Like Grandma's Crockpot Chicken 'N Dumplings

(Makes 4 servings..10 min. prep time)

2 cups cooked chicken
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of chicken soup
2 soup cans of water
4 tsp. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. chicken bouillion granules
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (8 biscuits)

Combine all ingredients except biscuits in crock pot.

Cut biscuits into quarters and gently stir into mixture.

Cover and cook on LOW 4 to 6 hours.

**I think if I was making this I would double it.

DK is more than hungry, she is hungered and hankering. Better post another song-one for Syd.

For Our Stout-Hearted & Courageous Sgt. Sydly:

Hungry Like The Wolf

Duran Duran (Night Version):

Dark in the city night is a wire
Steam in the subway earth is afire
Do do do do do do do dodo dododo dodo

Woman you want me give me a sign
And catch my breathing even closer behind
Do do do do do do do dodo dododo dodo

In touch with the ground
I'm on the hunt I'm after you
Smell like I sound I'm lost in a crowd.
And I'm hungry like the wolf.

Straddle the line in discord and rhyme
I'm on the hunt I'm after you.
Mouth is alive with juices like wine
And I'm hungry like the wolf

Stalked in the forest too close to hide
I'll be upon you by the moonlight side
Do do do do do do do dodo dododo dodo

High blood
Drumming on your skin it's so tight
You feel my heat I'm just a moment behind
Do do do do do do do dodo dododo dodo

In touch with the ground
I'm on the hunt I'm after you
Scent and a sound. I'm lost and I'm found
And I'm hungry like the wolf.

Strut on a line it's discord and rhyme
I howl and I whine I'm after you
Mouth is alive all running inside
And I'm hungry like the wolf.

Hungry like the wolf

Burning the ground I break from the crowd
I'm on the hunt I'm after you
I smell like I sound. I'm lost and I'm found
And I'm hungry like the wolf

Strut on a line it's discord and rhyme
I'm on the hunt I'm after you
Mouth is alive with juices like wine
And I'm hungry like the wolf

Good Day!

I have time for a quick in and out too. Rose!!! I am waiting with baited breath for your new post...Met and Bear....cannot wait! The pictures of Kristen and Bear are beautiful. Again, Kristen has that air of beauty and confidence...a woman who knows who she is and what she wants!

DK~Thanks for the recipes. The chix and biscuits sounds good.

Take care and an early HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all!

Good Morning Roseland,

DK... "letting go" of your daughter as she moves on in her life must be emotional. It may be a rite of passage, but difficult to say the least. You are a great mom..I can tell by everything you write about your loved ones.

Hi Rhonda, Annie, IB, Fio, Katy and all who pop in this morning.
Oh...Melinda...Have fun in Vegas.

And BEAR...could he be any cuter?? Kristen is a good mommy!
