Rob and Kristen-- Social Experiments.

Trying so hard not to show it...

There isn't much happening on the Rob/Kristen front.
And depending on where you stand...
That can be a good thing or a bad thing.

This is where I would usually say that I
enjoy the 'downtime' when Rob and/or Kristen are laying low.
That there is less angst and drama...
But we all know that isn't the case anymore.
If anything
The longer Rob/Kristen fly under the radar
and the longer they stay on separate continents...
The more drama and screeching that occurs.
Interesting Look...
Robert is still in L.A.
He was not only supposedly seen at Sony recording studios...
BUT
He was seen at another Adele concert!!!
How lucky is he??
Completely Cool.

Now I've made no secret of my sappy desire
to have Robert and Kristen reunited in London.
I'm a romantic... what can I say?
But romance aside
It's pretty obvious that Robert has stuff to do in L.A.
I personally like the thought of him working on music...
Rob. Music.
Fucking Win.
So spare me the whimpering cries of anguish.
And the continuing whining about how Rob
must not care about Kristen if he's not glued to her side.

And I do have to chime in about "Robsten" day
Which I was told yesterday was when EPIC Rob/Kris moments
happened in the past.
Did anyone really take that seriously?
OK.
I guess some did.
But then...
Some always do.

I just want to add a random thought...
What happens when Rob DOES go over to London?
And what happens when he is seen with his girl?
(That would be Kristen)
Then what?
Will all the angst and squealing stop then?
No.
Because some people NEED to flail and agonize over nothing.

And riddle me this...
IF Rob does indeed go to London
And maybe takes Bear with him?
What will you believe then?

Because if Rob does take Bear with him...
That would most likely mean he would be there a while.
And what if Kristen is again seen with Bear?
And maybe Rob brings him to her set

What will the excuse be?

Ahh....
It truly is never ending.
Rob and Kristen will continue to live their lives...
and be in a relationship the way it works for them.
Would I love to see them together?
Of course.
But Kristen isn't asking me what I think is best.
(Well Rob is... but I told him to listen to Kristen)
(sarcasm font needed)
Rob and Kristen have done pretty damn good so far.
They know what they are doing.

Damn.
Anything else?
Hmmmm.

1. Adele concert? Check. (No pics again??)

2. Rob/Bear to London soon? Check.

3. Angst and Anguish? Check.

4. Robsten Day? Check.

Yeah. OK.

Some people seem to like to take my words..
Twist them...
And misinterpret them...
And then I get blamed for their interpretation.
How does THAT work?
Thing is.
I goof around on Twitter
(and here)
And for reasons unknown...
Some people take every word like its written in stone.
I could say
THE SKY IS BLUE
And it would be some super secret code for
the color of Kristen's bridesmaids dresses.
You see where I'm going here?
I've NEVER claimed to be some insider.
I never claim anything other than my own
thoughts and opinions.

So you know what?
Chew on this.

Here's my THORNY THOUGHT of the day.

Rob and Kristen aren't married.
But imagine some sort of ritual ceremony
that isn't recognized as a legal marriage...
Except in their hearts.
In their actions.
In their lives.
In all the ways that matter.

This post is brought to you by the letter *C*

C for Cute.

So so so so so so so cute.

Like Tom Sturridge.
Not like a bunny.
But beautiful cute.

C for Crazy.
Stop.
It will be OK.
Really.

C for Can't wait
Heh.
I love social experiments.
Don't let me down.

Bye for now

5. Rose is fucking awesome? CHECK. LOL

Rob was at the Adele concert? I'm glad he's enjoying himself and seems to have been left in peace, but christ on a bike, what I'd give for just one picture of Rob and Adele.

That's my fangirl dream right there.

Also Adele is a big Rob fan. There was a video from a few months ago where she describes Rob as a ''National Treasure'', and talks about how she gets pissed off when American's try to claim him as one of them LOL.

Rob at Sony? Hmmmmm. New project perhaps?

And I hope Kristen is having a good first day's filming SWATH.

Kay said...

Cute post Rose :)

It is great that Rob and Kristen can go along in their relationship and do what works best for them....why do some continue to think they have any say at all in what they do? I'm hoping things are going well for Kristen on SWATH and I'd love to see some more music from Rob, yay! Good things all around. :D

Happy Tuesday Rose, Claire and the rest of Roseland yet to stop in - have a great day everyone! <3

katy said...

Hi Rose,

I said this before, I think if Rob is still in LA is because he needs to be, not that he chooses to be. I am sure he will go to London.

If true that Rob went to Adele concert...I hope he enjoyed himself.

Also, hope Kristen is having a great frist day filming SWATH

katy said...

almost forgot, Hope everyone is having a great day.

Lol!
This post got a chuckle out of me.
Its all good, *some* just need to chill the fuck out.

Great pix as always

Hope u are all having a great day! Mine is just starting..

And I hope Kristen has a great first day of filming on the swath set, good luck to her!

Hello Rose, Claire, Kay, Katy, & Groovie!

Rose, love the old pix you posted. What a beautiful couple!

I don't know what to say about people who get all bent out of shape when Rob & Kristen have to be apart. Don't they realize that nobody wants Rob & Kristen to be reunited more than Rob and Kristen?? Of course they miss each other and will be together as soon as they can & for as long as they can. It's just common sense. :)

Adele is coming to Nashville in Oct & nothing preventing, I am going. I've been waiting 2 yrs to see her!

Have a great day! Hugs and waves to all!

Hope said...

Rose...I think you covered everything!

Lucky Rob to see Adele twice this summer.
Hope to see her when she comes here in October.

Happy Birthday to Rob's mom!

Good Luck to Kristen this week as she begins filming SWATH...just saw a pic of the castle.

Freddie said...

Hi Rose,

Wow, really stirring the pot. I hope the social experiment produces the results you seek. Ha ha. Fun post.

I hope Kristen has a great start to her current project and that SWATH turns out to be everything she hoped it would. The idea of Rob working on his music is a really nice thought…..Oh, and yes, Tom is beautiful cute.

I can only duck in quickly, so with that I’ll wish everyone a good day. Take care all.

A-M said...

Great one!... As usual! Keep it on!

Mary said...

Fun post as always.

Rob is obviously a big fan of Adele's. I saw her recently on Graham Norton and she has the most outrageous laugh. Really unexpected.

Claire,

I love some of the phrases you use. I've heard of christ on a crutch but never christ on a bike.

Beautiful pics, Rose...like a trip and a skip down memory lane :)

My favorite line: "I told him to listen to Kristen" ...as Freddie said, you do like to stir the pot! lol

Hoping Kristen began a wonderful adventure today as the fairest of them all...

Adele: LOVE her!!! Sounds like Roseland loves Adele loves Rob... it's all good :)

And for heaven's sake, Rob will go to London when he is able, and not a moment sooner or later; why all the angst? Geeeesh...

Hi to Claire, Freddie, Kay, Katy, Groovie, dottie, Hope, A-M, PL, IB, Berry, & Rosey...Happy days to you all...

Hi everyone

sjjw said...

Hello everyone, I'm baaaccckkk! Our west coast adventure was loads of fun, but it is so good to be back home. Best of all, son1 is back in the fold after spending 7 weeks in the wilderness of Oregon! I have a changed man/boy in my house! He had an amazing life-changing experience, but it is so good to have him home!

Good luck to Kristen on her first day filming SWATH, and good luck to Rob for whatever it is that took him to Sony Studios yesterday. Gotta admit, I'm dying to know what he is working on! I'm sure it will amaze us all, as always.

Wonderful post Rose, and so damn spot-on. The whiners of the world need to just leave Rob and Kristen alone. They know what is going on in THEIR lives....

I also see I missed lots and lots of fun during the PCA's. PR PRO kept me informed on my travels. So sad to miss the party, but being with my son after so long was trumps in my world! (Can you tell I"m happy to have him around again???)

Have a great Tuesday. It's a beautiful day in the sunny South ~ 85 degrees and blue skies! Life is good.

Ciao,

sj

sjjw said...

Oops, not PCA's (although equally tortuous to watch, I am certain) but the TCA's! Sorry to miss THAT party!

Kenzz said...

Hi Claire:

I wish I knew!! haha

Have things finaly settled down in your country? I heard that they've brought in a former police commissioner or some such person of experience from my area (Boston) to assist/consult in future city crowd control and/or gang management. Also heard that that move was not wholly received as positive by the local police in London?

Anyways, hope your week has started out well!

Kenzz said...

sjjw: Welcome back! So happy to hear about your son's transformation...well worth the heartache and uncertainty of him being gone for so long?

Sounds like you should go into matchmaking- PrPro said you had a lot to do with "reboot". She sounded really happy :)

Good luck as you get everyone ready for back to school!

Claire said...

@Kenzz

Things seem to have subsided, thankfully.

Hopefully the innocent people who lost their homes and businesses can go about trying to get back on their feet.

Kenzz said...

Claire: the resiliency of Londoners and the British people has been well-documented in history. I'm certain they will prevail in the face of this rioting/looting. Lots of love sent your way!!

angelica1 said...

I'll never fathom the Chicken Licken brigade, it's beyond me what possible impact Rob and Kristen's travel decisions have on their lives.I'm also unsure why they believe an actors job consists solely of turning up to film scenes for 8 weeks or so and then they go on holiday for the other 44 weeks of the year...strange.

Hi everyone :)

sjjw said...

Hi Kenzz! Yes, I had a hand in PR's reboot! Don't know how exactly, but that's what she tells me! I told her I expected to be invited to the re-saying of the vows ceremony! lol (there isn't one planned as yet, was just kidding her...) I am so happy for her! Roseland is a magic place, all kinds of wonderful things are possible here, even saving marriages!

sj

sjjw said...

Angelica, you are so right. So many people seem to "know" exactly when, where and what Rob and Kristen are doing professionally, and exactly how much time it takes! Wow, is all I can say. I hope they spend that much time analyzing their OWN lives, cuz I have a feeling some could use a little analyzing, js.

Claire said...

@Kenzz

Take the bombings in 2005 for example.

Instead of being intimidated from their normal routine's by terrorist's, people were back on the tube (London Underground) the very next day.

If the German Luftwaffe couldn't break the people's spirit during the blitz in the early 40's, a bunch of delinquents don't stand a chance.

sjjw said...

And to answer your other question Kenzz, I do think the heartache and worry over my son was worth it, but we will see. So far, so good. Re-entry has hit some rough spots, but that is to be expected. I'm just so happy to have him home! And, he appreciates us a lot more as well! lol We're not nearly as bad as he thought we were....

angelica1 said...

Claire - Have you seen the morons whining about their "harsh" sentences though?

Claire said...

@angelica sjjw

I agree

These people should run Rob and Kristen's lives for them, because they know what's best for them apparently.

Claire said...

@angelica

They are a disgrace. If you play with feathers, you'll get your arse tickled.

A lot of these people are from what I call 'The Jeremy Kyle Generation'.

Mary said...

sj,

Good luck with the son but I say this from experience, don't expect miracles. Mine spent almost a year studying abroad, travelled all over Europe alone, yet when he came back quickly reverted back to the teen-like person with me telling him to get out of bed, pick up that mess, take a shower and eat something. I hope you fare better.

Claire said...

Although there were some people from privileged backgrounds.

One lived in a £1m house and another was graduating to be a solicitor O_O

angelica1 said...

Claire - Jeremy Kyle generation is right!! I couldn't help but laugh at one mother claiming her 12 yr old was carrying a hammer purely for his own protection and even though it was wrong of him, it's not her fault.Presumably it's also not her fault her child s roaming the streets at night either!!

sjjw said...

I thought I would share a photo from our travels. This was the view from a house we stayed in the Redwood National Park, on top of a mountain. Didn't suck...

I posted this on twitter yesterday, sorry if you are seeing it twice!

sjjw said...

Thanks PL, I am expecting set-backs, for sure! But for now, we are enjoying the change in attitude! Teenage boys will be teenage boys. I have two in the house. Oy vey!

Claire said...

@angelica

What did she expect? If you're roaming the streets with a hammer during rioting methinks the police are going to take a pretty dim view.

@sjjw

That looks absolutely stunning. And yeah, I could imagine it didn't suck AT ALL LOL

Mary said...

sj,

Beautiful view.

I wish I could use the excuse of teenage boys, but mine is past that age. I think the problem is he and I should just not live in the same house anymore. Good luck with yours.

Lady Fallow said...

Great post Rose but that's nothing new.

So Rob's making music eh? Sony - Sam Bradley - yah, it all makes sense now.

Sam and Rob make a great musical team. And after what Bill C. said when asked if there will be any of the actors singing or playing on the movie soundtrack, he said yes. Goes to reason that Rob is recording.

Wouldn't be surprised.

beacullen said...

Awesome Rose! And sadly totally true lol. I read the EW interview LOVED it! I loved Rob talking about how Bella is with Jacob and saying he would totally break up with her for that. Remember he said that in Eclipse when she kissed Jacob. lol. So possessive hahaha. Geez, it's not like they're joined at the hip. I think it's great that they have their own lives and they're not together 24/7. It seems to work for them, so who are we to judge. Thanks Rose.

Super RN Gas Passer said...

Good Afternoon Everybody...Yes The social experiment rocks on...the jealous are jealous, the dramatic are moaning and groaning all over the place and Rob and Kristen will continue their relationship just the same:). Oh, and the world continues to go round and round...

Melinda said...

Nice post Rose. The saga continues...some people will never be happy. Oh well, sucks to be them.

Adele added a show near me so guess who got tickets??? I can't wait! I think my favorite song off her 21 album is "Set fire to the rain".

And Rob possibly working on new music. That's music to my ears.

So I'm thinking by now Kristen has finished day one on the SWATH set. I hope it went well for her and that she has fun with this character. Snowstew lives! :)

SJ- Glad to see you back and that the family is complete again. Beautiful picture of where you stayed.

Gwen- Meant to tell you this the other day. Congrats on the job promotion! Much success on this new venture.

Hope everyone is having a great start to the week! TTYL...

Adele is pure talent. She delivers emotional lyrics in a powerful voice--you can feel her pain. I can't wait to see her in live concert. Rob's lucky.

Loving Is Powerful

Set Fire To The Rain

Adele:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBcMKwbMEcQ

I let it fall, my heart,
And as it fell, you also claim it.
It was dark, and I was all right,
Until you kissed my lips and you saved me.

My hands, they're strong, but my knees were far too weak.
Stand in your arms without falling into your feet.

But there's a side to you that I never knew, never knew.
All the things you say, they were never true, never true.
And the games you play, you would always win, always win.

But I set fire to the rain,
Watch it pour as I touched your face
Let it burn while I cry
'Cause I heard it screaming at your name, your name.

When I'm with you, I could stay there.
Close my eyes, feel you're here forever.
You and me together, nothing is better.

I set fire to the rain
And I feel lost into the phase
And it felt something nice
'Cause I knew that that was the last time, last time.

Sometimes I wake up by the door
And hope you're gone, must be waiting further.
Even that when it's already over
I can't help myself from looking further.

'Cause I knew that that was the last time.
The last time, ooh, ooh.

Thank you/themasterjochem

@Birdie
You wanted a story?

Moving day-the movers in their truck, couldn't find my place. They kept calling for new directions, and each time they passed by, as I watched helplessly, from a little distance. What a way to start a move!

When they arrrived, they told me their boss had added another move in-between mine, and that they were getting pretty fried. Yikes!

Fast forward, 80 boxes and 20 pieces of art later, and although we are in the comfort of an air conditioned bldg. with an elevator, I am listening to many, many comments of how I must own an art gallery, or at least I live in one, lol!

Then, why didn't I hire 3 movers instead of two (no one suggested it, for I didn't have that much stuff, right?), for this was really too bad, too much work, and taking too long (from 3pm to 10:30pm). How could I disagree, for I felt the same way?

My son had a bright idea to buy them soda pop, water and Beef Jerky, and let me say this, they looked and acted much happier after having them all. That's the power of those dried beef strips!

I'll always keep some handy somewhere around me, so when the next urge to move, is upon me, and before I am hauled away for rest in some isolated home from home, I can also act much happier, too.

The move was finished and the tips doled out, and there were smiles all around. More advice came my way, and that was okay with me.

How silly it all is in the scheme of things, isn't it?

While we were talking at the end, the movers told me about a phone call one had gotten near the end of my move.

A a good friend of theirs, a truck driver, left this world, very suddenly that day, at 41, keeling over the steering wheel of a truck. We paused to think of that friend, awed and quieted by the news.

Each and every moment matters, for things that truly matter.

Moving doesn't matter, empathy does.

So grateful for this moment, here and now, there and everywhere.

On a cloud of sound I drift in the night
Any place it goes is right
Goes far, flies near, to the stars away from here

Well, you don't know what we can find
Why don't you come with me little girl
On a magic carpet ride

You don't know what we can see
Why don't you tell your dreams to me
Fantasy will set you free
Close your eyes girl
Look inside girl
Let the sound take you away

Last night I held Aladdin's lamp
And so I wished that I could stay
Before the thing could answer me
Well, someone came and took the lamp away
I looked around, a lousy candle's all I found

Well, you don't know what we can find
Why don't you come with me little girl
On a magic carpet ride

Well, you don't know what we can see
Why don't you tell your dreams to me

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Tu2eZpA4yo

I'm so tired, I haven't slept a wink
I'm so tired, my mind is on the blink
I wonder should I get up and fix myself a drink
No, no, no

I'm so tired I don't know what to do
I'm so tired my mind is set on you
I wonder should I call you but I know what you would do

You'd say I'm putting you on
But it's no joke, it's doing me harm
You know I can't sleep, I can't stop my brain

You know it's three weeks, I'm going insane
You know I'd give you everything I've got
For a little peace of mind

I'm so tired, I'm feeling so upset
Although I'm so tired I'll have another cigarette
And curse Sir Walter Raleigh
He was such a stupid get

You know I'd give you everything I've got
For a little peace of mind

Thank you/GiganteRoja

have any of you seen the new Breaking Dawn Poster. I am saddened by the criticism it is recieving from Twilight fans. Rob and Kristen have worked so hard. I hope the movie does well. I hope Kristen is enjoying herself filming SWATH.

To bring Bear into the UK he has to pass the pet care scheme, and it takes 6 motnths AFTER a rabies shot etc.. very tight laws by DEFRA who control transport of animal here.. same rules for private flights in..

So unfortunetely, it'll be a couple of months yet before he can bring him here legally :/

This is probably why he's not here tbh.. so before anyone goes reading into him not turning up here.. thats why. xx

Motherhin said...

@bcaceres30, personally I don't get it. I mean why the uproar over a movie poster? It's a picture that's been manipulated by a computer program to be reproduced for marketing. It makes no sense for people to get so uptight over something so small but I guess that's why I often find myself shaking my head by the remarks people make in the Twilight fandom.

Claire said...

@Motherhin

I agree, it's a poster ffs.

The way some people are going on you'd think they'd tagged the Bayeux Tapestry or something

Super RN Gas Passer said...

30...Animals are jealous creatures...my cats wont have anything to do with eachother...and they are very territorial...one stays in our bedroom and will only leave to eat,etc....the other two go in and out...one demands exclusivity and flatly refuses to give you the time of day if another cat is in the same room...they all have very different personalities...so I can appreciate how unpleasant the dogs can be to eachother:)

CLAIRE...What is the "problem" with the BD poster?

Motherhin said...

Oh, one of the "problems" I saw was that Jacob was front and center again and they made him as tall as the Edward and Bella couple. They feel that Summit is trying to play out the love triangle still and keep Taylor relevant or that they (poster makers) are on "Jacob's side." Yes I literally read that.

I get a little scared for my future when I see that these are the examples of people that will be walking around when I'm old and can't physically hold my own against them.LOL

Super RN Gas Passer said...

MOTHERHIN...Hahaha..I think that is hilarious. They need to read the book...lol..Jacob is described as being very tall...and Jacob IS very much a part of the love triangle. His character should not be diminished in any way.

And, I agree with you...we are in trouble! My strategy, eat good quality food, exercise a few times a week and lift some weights...we cant afford to end up in a nursing home! lol

Rhonda said...

Birdie- Thank you. We got a little bit of good news today, so I'm hopeful.

Motherhin- LOL, I know what you mean :)

I hope everyone had/is having a good day.

Motherhin said...

Super, weights are a must!

I can't even read the posts on Ted's board without getting a chilling sensation because you just KNOW that it's like one or two people that constantly post the same thing over and over again and pretend to be someone else. I refuse to believe that there are so many people as invested in saying ugly things about two celebrities as there are on that board. Don't even get me started on such things as "shippers" "Krisbians" and "nonstens." People have way too much time on their hands if they are inventing ways of identifying how obsessed they are. If you are labeling yourself, well, you have a problem and you might need a sign.;}

Claire said...

@Super

I think some people just like to complain.

Picasso could of been behind the poster and people still would have found fault with it.

Rhonda said...

Claire- Not only do they like to complain, but I think they get off on the drama they create.

Mary said...

Good evening Claire, Super, Mother and whoever else is around.

I've been skulking around on twitter and what I've been reading is people are upset that Edward and Bella are not the focus and that they don't look happy. Since BD1 is mostly about them and their marriage they wanted that to be the focus. Most people found the Twilight promos to be the best and they want that kind of thing again, just Edward and Bella.

I have to agree that the facial expressions aren't the best, but it's just a poster, not really worth a lot of drama.

Claire said...

@Rhonda

I agree wholeheartedly.

Hi PL

Super RN Gas Passer said...

HI CLAIRE and RHONDA...I agree Claire, the world is full of critics...I have high hopes for BD 1 and 2...I think it is going to be so awesome because they have given that book 2 movies...that will do it great justice...one of the things that disturbed me about Eclipse is they crammed so many scenes into it..so many of the scenes were cut short to try to get it all IN in the alotted time. I loved the movie very much though..I think they did the best they could.

Rhonda said...

Hi Super and PL :)

Super RN Gas Passer said...

Hi PL...Interesting..I guess all I have to say to your post is that those "elements" are very much a part of the book...those people neEd to READ THE BOOK...It is very dark and serious...the Volturi come to destroy them, Bella "dies" in chidbirth...I think the team that is working on this project understands the book very well. It is NOT Twilight anymore kiddos(referring to the complainers of the poster)...it is way more serious!

Birdie said...

Super: Feeling like a million bucks! Hubby is traveling this week, so I'm treating myself (after the kids are settled) to nice dinners of things my hubs hates...tonite, it's roasted Rock Cornish game hen, with steamed carrots, and a glass of Washington dry Riesling. Yummy!

Hope your "bender" doesn't leave you with a nasty hangover tomorrow morning!

Birdie: my first roomie in college was a senior from the UK, and I feel it was a wonderful experience for me first to live with someone a bit more mature than I, and secondly to gain a little wordly perspective outside of MY rather limited world view . Most likely, her BFF's will probably come from kids who share more commonalities, but that hopefully won't negate her positive experience with her roomie! And by the way, some of my worst roommates were from girls "just like me" on paper...honestly, there's just no telling who will mesh with whom!

Hi dottie: I'm with you...I choose happy :) Isn't life too short for anything else? Hope you're well!

Rhonda said...

Birdie- We are going through a crisis with a family member right now. She is very young, and because of that, I don't feel I should discuss it so publicly.

Gia said...

Rose, great post, I always enjoy reading your blog. I hope Rob and Kristen reunite soon :)

Hum... I agree with the critics regarding the BD poster, I really don't like it.
I don't like the picture of Bella & Edward they used, it's not flattering, IMO... Which is weird, because Rob and Kristen are absolutely gorgeous and they're beautiful as B&E in the clips and stills of BD I've seen so far. I just think it's a really bad photo of them (the expression on their faces is really weird and they look like a middle age couple) I don't understand why did they (whoever made the poster) choose it to something as important (to the movie) as the official promo stuff... Plus, it's too much photoshoped and overall it doesn't communicate well the vibe of the story, IMO.
And I agree that Edward and Bella should be the focus, they're the main characters and the reason people fell in love with the story. Nothing against Taylor, Jacob is an important character and he plays him very well, but he's NOT the focus of the story. The posters of the previous movies (especially Twilight) were much better, IMO.
I think there's nothing wrong in expressing an opinion... I think people are being vocal about it because they hope that if Summit is aware of it they can eventually do better, since the promo of the movie hasn't officialy started yet. Most of the people criticising are fans, they're tired of seeing the "saga" being bashed and want the movie to do well! I know it's just a movie, it's really not that important, but we still can have an opinion about it, right...? For anyone who might be interested in this subject, there're about 300 comments about this on Robsessed blog, all negative...

Hi all,
I just want to add my two sense about the BD poster. At first I was like, I cant see what fans are complaing about here but then someone reminded me of something.

We have seen SO many gorges fan made posters, with colors and just some amazing breathtaking ones that knocked us off are feet.I had to agree then, This is not even close to that caliber. Why they cant pick a talented fan to make one I do not understand. Their are really some talented people out there and honestly this is just "OK" Rob the cast us, we deserve better than OK IMO.

Sydney said...

Hey ladies! I've been a bit busy with work and family in town. Just taking a moment to catch up.

Regarding the poster...I could give a shit about the poster. It's a poster. It has no bearing on anything. And I really do not understand the need to get all worked up about it. This fandom is so entitled it's ridiculous. You didn't write the books, you didn't produce the movies, so just shut the hell up and say thank you. Just be grateful for 5 GD seconds. Sorry...some people take this so personally.

And PL: I saw you asking for book recommendations. I just read A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. Loved it. It's the first of a trilogy. The only bummer is the next one doesn't come out until next year. But it was great!

Now I'm out book ideas...and I think I'm going to have to break down and read The Hunger Games.

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Motherhin said...

Can someone please explain to me why a stupid poster means so much when most fans have read these books at least twice? I'm sure we all know the stories by now, so who cares? There will be more posters or photoshoots or whatever promoting this movie so here's a novel idea, LOOK AWAY if you don't like it that much! Good grief, you'd think the poster for Breaking Dawn was actually ruining someone's life the way people talk about it.

Now class, raise your hand if you will still go see Breaking Dawn 1 and 2 even though the posters are not as attractive as you had envisioned them to be. Yeah that's what I thought.

Gia said...

"You didn't write the books, you didn't produce the movies, so just shut the hell up and say thank you."

Wow... are you serious?

Geez, I see people are not allowed to express an opinion around here...
I don't like the poster, apparently lots of people don't either, so what? Calm down, people are criticising the poster, not the movie or the actors. Even Rob and Kristen joked about the wigs and stuff during the eclipse commentary and they are the main actors of the movies!

Jacks said...

I know we miss them but isn't it great that Kristen hasn't been papped while in London apart from the airport.

Mary said...

Thanks to everyone for all the book recommendations.

Sydney,

A lot of people have told me about The Discovery of Witches. I intend to read it but I was being cheap and hoping the kindle price would come down, plus I hate waiting for sequels.

Rita,

I'm sorry if you thought you couldn't express your opinion here. The thing is, people that comment here are more about being fans of Rob and Kristen's and less about analyzing every little detail of the movie making process. Everyone tries to keep the negative gossip away.

Sydney said...

Rita:

I'm sorry, I wasn't responding to your comment, I was responding to the general freakout on twitter and on other blogs where people have lost their minds over a poster. It's just not that important in the grand scheme. Of course, you're allowed to post your opinion here, or anywhere. As am I.

PL: Having to wait for the sequel is really annoying.

Claire said...

People are more than entitled to their opinion on the poster.

But some of them are acting ridiculous. Tweeting and writing letters to Summit over this 'abomination of a poster', really? REALLY?

They need to chill the fuck out and maybes think about sticking their heads in a bucket of cold water IMO. It's really not that important in the grand scheme of things.

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a nice day.

30 said...

Claire,
Do they have the petitions out yet? lol

I swear to god, this fandom has the most crazy ass fans more than no other, It's embarrassing. Do I think the poster could be better? Yes, Do I think with the money we make Summit we deserve better, Yes. Am I wasting my time all day on twitter bitching, having a anxiety attack, NO.

angelica1 said...

The thing is, whatever you think about the damn poster, EVERYONE is talking about it. From a marketing point of view, I'm sure Summit are clapping and cheering at all the free publicity!

Hi Rhonda :)

Rhonda: I tried to drag out the reading of DOW for a long time, not wanting it to end. Waiting a year for the sequel is not ideal. Thankfully, by the time I discovered Twilight, all the books were out, or at least the first three. Can't even remember anymore.

PL: I thought of another fave, but it's also LOOOOONG. Have you read The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova? It's fantastic. It's several years old, but if you haven't read it, it's a good one.

Angelica: Good point.

Rhonda said...

Sydney- I had actually never heard of the book until a friend suggested I read it. Am I correct in that it's a trilogy?

Angelica- You're right. I bet Summit is at least happy with all the buzz this poster is creating.

Sydney said...

Rhonda: Yes, it is part of a trilogy. The writer is in the process of writing the second one. I hadn't heard of it either, but I was looking through the B&N store on my Nook and it came up. I thought it sounded good and it was!

Rhonda said...

Sydney- Thanks, I will be looking forward to the next one too.

bcaceres30 said...

Super RN Gas Passer said...

Hi Everybody...Just getting caught up with the comments.

RITA..If you are out there...I appreciate your comments...You are certainly entitled to state your opinion and I dont sense that you are a "trouble maker"...Thanks for stopping by and please dont be offended...we are especially protective of Rob and Kristen...because they get so much criticism...but I certainly have no ill will toward you for expressing your opinion about a poster...again I said last night...I feel that Jacob is a forceful prescence in the book and the whole series is a love TRIANGLE...so I expect Jacob to be up front and center. I agree that Carlisle looks like he has chipmunk cheeks..hahaha..I find fault and have said this before in the fact that they can never make them look the same from one movie to the next...the vampires should look the same in my mind...because they are supposed to be "frozen" so to speak...even though I thought Edward looked good with the lighter hair in New Moon and Eclipse, I thought his hair should be dark with red highlights, as SM described him in Twilight...OK enough rambling along but I hope you dont think we are criticizing you per se. Have a good one.

Mary said...

Let's try this again. I posted on the wrong day.

Sydney,

I started the Historian when it first came out. It was a library book and since it was so long I had to return it before I finished it. I totally forgot about it until you mentioned it.

Here's some trivia, the author of the book wrote it while she was a student at the University of Michigan working on her MFA and entered it in the Hopwood contest which the University has every year for writing. She won the award for novel in progress. Past winners include screenwriter/director Lawrence Kasdan and playwright Arthur Miller. And that is probably more than any of you wanted to know.

Bell, Book And Candle

Eddi Reader:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNHtnYIQqiE

Blue around a morning moon
The color of your eyes
I remember holding you
A fall through summer skies

You're everything that I've become
Every word I say
I need a bell, book, and candle
To keep your ghost away

White horses on a troubled sea
Your smile will flash through time
Up ahead a blackbird's wing
Your hair will come to mind

Every night I see your face
When I have to pray
I need a bell, a book, and candle
To keep your ghost away

Keep your ghost away,
Keep your ghost away,
I need a bell, a book, and candle
To keep your ghost away

Just before the thunder roars
I sense you next to me
And as I move through nature
I know where you will be

So I must keep myself apart
That's where I'll stay
With a bell, a book, and candle
To keep your ghost away

Everything

Barbra Streisand:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MvrY2bn1Jo

I want to learn what life is for
I don’t want much, I just want more
Ask what I want and I will sing
I want everything (everything)

I’d cure the cold and the traffic jam
If there were floods, I’d give a dam
I’d never sleep, I’d only sing
Let me do everything (everything)

I’d like to plan a city, play the cello
Play at Monte Carlo, play Othello
Move into the White House, paint it yellow

Speak Portuguese and Dutch
And if it’s not too much
I’d like to have the perfect twin
One who’d go out as I came in

I’ve got to grab the big brass ring
So I’ll have everything (everything)

I’m like a child who’s set free
At the fun fair
Every ride invites me

And it’s unfair
Saying that I only
Get my one share
Doesn’t seem just
I could live as I must

If they’d give me the time
To turn a tide
Give me the truth
If once I lied

Give me the man
Who’s gonna bring
More of everything

Then I’ll have everything
Everything

Thank you/colormemichael

We Both Go Down Together

The Decemberists:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExTsO_q19II

Here on these cliffs of Dover
So high you can't see over
And while your head is spinning
Hold tight it's just beginning

You come from parents' wanton
A childhood rough and rotten
I come from wealth and beauty
Untouched by work or duty

And oh, my love, my love.
And oh, my love, my love.
We both go down together.

I found you, a tattooed tramp
A dirty daughter from the labor camps
I laid you down in the grass of a clearing
You wept, but your soul was willing

And oh, my love. my love.
And oh, my love. my love.
We both go down together.

And my parents will never consent To this love
But I hold your hand

Meet me on my vast veranda
My sweet untouched Miranda
And while the seagulls are crying
We fall but our souls are flying

And oh, my love. my love
We both go down together

Thank you/Nirvanaleine

Like For Bella & Edward

The Last Beat Of My Heart

Devotchka:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qv3w3_UmVE

In the sharp gust of love
My memory stirred
When time wreathed a rose
A garland of shame
Its thorn my only delight

War torn, afraid to speak
We dare to breathe
Majestic
Imperial

A bridge of sighs
Solitude sails
In a wave of forgiveness
On angels' wings

Reach out your hands
Don't turn your back
Don't walk away
How in the world
Can I wish for this?

Never to be torn apart
Close to you
'Til the last beat
Of my heart

At the close of day
The sunset cloaks
These words in shadowplay
Here and now, long and loud

My heart cries out
And the naked bone of an echo says
Don't walk away

Reach out your hands
I'm just a step away
How in the world
Can I wish for this?

Never to be torn apart
Close to you
'Til the last beat
Of my heart

How in the world
Can I wish for this?
Never to be torn apart

'Til the last beat
'Til the last fleeting beat
Of my heart

Thank you/nelnel2709

But I will keep on singing forever

For Rob & Kris-Many Kisses

Amorcito Corazon/Sweetie Heart

Pedro Infante:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OP5E3wiM69w

Amorcito corazón
Yo tengo tentación
De un beso

Que se pierda en el calor
De nuestro gran amor, mi amor;
Yo quiero ser, un solo ser
Estar contigo
Te quiero ver en el querer
Para soñar.

En la dulce sensación de un beso
Mordelon quisiera, amorcito corazon
Decirte mi pasión por ti
Compañeros en el bien y el mal
Ni los años nos podran pesar

Amorcito corazón seras mi amor.
Amorcito corazón seras, mi amor.

My love, my heart
I have the temptation of a kiss,
That lights itself
In the heat of our love

My love I want to be one being
My being is with you
I want to see you
Dream in our love

In the sweet sensation
Of a nibbling kiss
I'd wish
My heart, my love to tell you

The passion I have for you
Friends in the good and bad
Not even the years can separate us
My heart, my love
You will be my love

Thank you/pesosobrepeso

Dk,
Are you still out there?

DreamerKind said...

What a combination, wine and music make, and they don't want to stop, with the giving of joy and taste sensations. Ah...

Life is good, sure, good and hard. We don't appreciate easy anyway, do we?

Well, I do, but I am older, so easy was paid for by the hard part that came before.

Kudos to those of us, earning it the hard way first, so easy, comes easy.

It is so much fun to really mean all of the darlings, lovelies, sweets, honeys, and such that I sprinkle my usual speech with these days.

I can get away with it, and such flows from my tongue like whisky, hot and fragrant. Folks seem to like it and from my heart I say those things.

Blah, blah, the wine has gotten to me.

Thinking of my drinking buds here on Roseland, with Rose #1, for we both love the vino & Syd must be #2 for he appreciates it so much (come a'round to my house, darlin') & Rob with his totally boss knows what to drink self (one can dream on, and will).

When can we have a party?

Birdie said...

DK,
It sounds like you are a party of one right now. I am sure you earned it!

@Birdie
You are so right! WTH are you doing around here now?

Birdie said...

I just woke up early and couldn't sleep. It's Friday and I may kick myself later today, but don't work tomorrow.
Are you getting settled? How do you like it so far?

DreamerKind said...

Today I found handmade bread from an Italian bakery. I could not find such back in my old neighborhood in the cornfields.

That is not to say that there were not any fine breads there, but finer still, are Chicago style breads, on which I was raised, and n'er forgot.

What a choice of choice wines, too. I got a $50 champagne for $12 a la France, but is it good? Ask me tomorrow, please. Better yet, let's toast with it.

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
If I would open the patio door, I will hear the fountain (which makes me sleepy) and see the moon upon the lake, or earlier I could have gone to a Malibu Rum Black Intro party, FREE, and would be more vocal on that, other than this wine.

But I went to the older brother's house and got a TV and GPS system instead (at SEARS and his place), to keep me in touch and in places, where I could be counted. Guess it would be a trade-off.

This weekend the Sista comes to party at the Taste of ----, so what do you think, kiddo, am I fine or divine?

Birdie said...

It sounds fabulous and how nice to have options! Love the sounds of your little lake. I think you made a good decision to move there and really hope you are happy! I would assume that you are since you have cracked the bubbly.
What colors are in your apartment?

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
Have not cracked the bubbly, will wait for my Roseland buds. No colors, on the walls, but off white. I can paint anything I'd like, but must return to off white or pay $50 per wall. You know I will.

So, give me some colors that will work with a southeast exposure, and for a vibrant, silly chick with a penchant for mellow.

(I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons

Sam Cooke:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXtwsQdRl_o

I love you
For sentimental reasons
I hope you do believe me
I've given you my
Given you my heart because I mmm you

And you alone were meant for me
Please give your loving heart to me
And say we'll never part

I think of you every morning
I dream of you every night
And I know I'm never lonely
Whenever you are in sight

I know I love you
And you alone were meant for me
Please give your loving heart to me
And tell we'll never part

I think of you every morning
Can I help it if I dream of you every night
No, no, no, no, I'm never lonely
Whenever you are in sight

I know that I love you
And you alone were meant for me
Please give your loving heart to me
And tell we will never part

My darling I love you
I love you

I Guess It Doesn't Matter Anymore

Blackmore Nights:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSh38BfeSCg

Standing in the rain
The cold and angry rain
In a long white dress
A girl without a name

She stood beneath the light
Glowing like a candle bright
I guess it doesn't matter anymore

I pulled along the side
And offered her a ride
Like the rolling mist she floated inside
As we pulled away
She had nothing to say
So I guess it doesn't matter anymore

I believe something's can't be explained
They are hidden in the mist and in the silver rain...

The road was long
It ran on
When I heard her singing her silent song
I knew the melody
From my memory
But I guess it Doesn't Matter Anymore

Finally she spoke
Come pull off the road
Saying she was headin' home
I turned and she was gone
I was all alone
So I Guess It Doesn't Matter Anymore

As I turned away
No reason to stay
She had faded back into the grey
A whisper in the trees
You could hear it in the breeze
Say I Guess It Doesn't Matter Anymore

Thank you/KeepMusicPagan

Hmmmm,
I painted my place five years ago. All my trim is white. Light taupe on all the walls in kitchen and main living(neutral). My room is a soft turquoise (roses and reds for accents) and I love this room. I papered my bath and den. Guest bed is a ? chocolate with white trim. It is all fairly neutral.
Basement is soft blue. One daughter's bedroom is deep rose, again all white trim. Kind of a woman's house, but then it is!
Now when I go to the paint area, there are so many cool colors, but I am to lazy to re-paint and I like my colors.

DreamerKind said...

@Birdie
I get what you are saying, it was a flow from one color to another.

I like the white on deep tone effect, thanks, Ma Mere.

We will talk soon, and now I will stop my BS, and get to rest myself.

Good Morning! Happy Friday Everyone!

DK~Best wishes in your new place :)

Freddie~Yes, we keep missing each other!!

I saw the new BD stills and they are lovely!!!

I also read the German interview. Loved this part, so truly Kristen :)

TV Movie: Do you believe in marriage?
Kristen: I like the thought of two people staying together for the rest of their lives. For me, however, this doesn't need to be sealed with signatures.

Aaaawwwww....so darn sweet!
